As we say goodbye to 2017, it's time to take a look back at the celebrity hookups that shocked us the most this year! Let's start with arguably the most surprising one of all: Sofia Richie, 19, and Scott Disick, 34. Lionel Richie's youngest daughter and Kourtney Kardashian's baby daddy were first snapped hanging out in May during the Cannes Film Festival, but Sofia quickly denied a romance, tweeting, "Scott and I are just homies #relax." In June, they were spotted together AGAIN, this time partying around Las Vegas. True confirmation didn't come until September when friends revealed the two were getting serious, with a source telling E! News, "They are inseparable right now and not leaving each other's side. Scott is totally romancing her and she is under his spell." By late September, all suspicions were confirmed when the duo was spotted kissing in Miami. But not everyone is happy about this relationship, with Sofia's dad, Lionel Richie, telling Us Weekly, "I'm scared to death, are you kidding me?" "Kourt, you're doing amazing, sweetie!" That pretty much sums up all of our reactions when we first heard Kourtney Kardashian was getting friendly with a man who wasn't Scott Disick or Justin Bieber! In the spring, Kourtney, 38, got more serious with gorgeous boxer-turned-model Younes Bendjima, who's 14 years her junior. Everyone started to realize this was more than a fling when the duo were spotted looking loved up while vacationing in Cannes, France, in May. While Scott attempted to derail Kourt's happiness by showing up in France with a bevy of young beauties, we think Kourtney won by being genuinely happy and free. She deserves it!

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd set tongues wagging in January when they were spotted kissing outside of Giorgio Baldi, a popular restaurant with celebs in Santa Monica, California. The pop star and the Canadian crooner soon showed the world their romance was the real deal when they started hopping around the world together from the States to Italy to Canada to New York City. But there was still drama in the situation, which ties back to Bella Hadid, who not only was once Selena's friend but dating The Weeknd for most of 2016. But it wasn't meant to be: After a dramatic year for Selena that included a secret kidney transplant, she and The Weeknd split in October. Within days, she'd rekindled her old romance with Justin Bieber.

David Spade and Naya Rivera's short-lived romance certainly came out of left field! David has dated a bevy of beauties in his time while Naya was just coming out of a marriage to Ryan Dorsey, the father of her young son. The comedian and the "Glee" alum had fun while it lasted last spring, but Naya has since gotten back together with her husband.
One of the more shocking pairings of the year is music super-producer David Foster, 67, and singer-actress Katharine McPhee, 33. The two have been seen together on numerous occasions over the course of the year starting with an intimate date night at Nobu Malibu in May. Since then, the duo has been spotted hanging out with his daughter and packing on the PDA while out running errands. The Blast reported in October that although things look pretty serious and the two are — despite early denials — dating, they're not exclusive. They're "just keeping things casual," The Blast reported.
Eric Andre and Rosario Dawson shocked fans this year when they announced they were a thing! The comedian and the stunning actress and social activist popped up as a couple right around Valentine's Day with some insanely loved-up social media posts. Some fans — and even celebs — were so shocked by the news that Rosario and Eric felt compelled to confirm that yes, they really were dating. (Chance the Rapper admitted on Twitter that he texted Rosario to ask if it was a joke!) Eric made things crystal clear when he posted a photo of the two of them kissing with the caption, "I think we have to touch tongues [because] people think this is a prank."

After her tumultuous relationship with rapper Tyga ended early this year, Kylie Jenner seemed to rebound quickly with another rapper: News broke in April that King Kylie was dating music star Travis Scott. The internet went wild. A source told Us Weekly, "They're serious! She's really into him and has known him for a long time. Her family really likes him. Kendall [Jenner] has also been friends with him for years." Things seemed to hit a boiling point when the couple showed off matching tattoos on Snapchat, but no one saw the next bit of news coming: In September, the internet collectively spazzed when multiple outlets confirmed that Kylie was expecting a baby with Travis after just a few months of dating. Sam Smith makes his best music during times of heartbreak, but we are so happy he has found someone! The British crooner shocked fans when he was spotted casually smooching actor Brandon Flynn in October. Brandon, who stars on Netflix's "13 Reasons Why," recently came out.
So maybe it isn't that shocking considering we've all kind of known they've been undercover dating for years, but in September, Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes sorta, kinda, almost actually confirmed long-standing rumors that they are a couple. Though the two have maintained that they are just friends for some time now, the world saw pics of them holding hands in Malibu over the Labor Day holiday — and that really solidified it for us. She might be known as the coolest girl in pop culture, but Rihanna has been very low-key about her dating life since her traumatic relationship with Chris Brown (with the possible exception of Drake, who made some very public love confessions). Everything changed in July when RiRi was spotted in Ibiza, Spain, making out with a hot mystery guy! Within days he was identified as outrageously wealthy Saudi Arabian businessman Hassan Jameel. He's the public face of his family's company, Abdul Latif Jameel Co., which owns the rights to Toyota sales in Saudi Arabia. A source told The Sun, "This relationship is the real deal. Rihanna has told friends she's in love with him and seems completely smitten. They've been spending a lot of time together away from prying eyes and are really serious." While the two remain secretive, we are always happy to see Rihanna happy! Side note: He apparently also dated Naomi Campbell, which caused tension between the supermodel and Rihanna. He looks comfortable under her umbrella, eh eh eh?
Has Taylor Swift finally learned her lesson about men? In May, news broke revealing Taylor was quietly dating British actor Joe Alwyn — and the news had fans shook! Not particularly because she was dating someone new, but because of how low-key she had kept the whole situation. Joe, who starred in "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk," was the first guy in a long time who Taylor didn't flaunt in public, and maybe that's why this one seems to be working. Sources told The Sun earlier this year, "Taylor and Joe are the real deal, this is a very serious relationship, but after what happened with Tom Hiddleston, they were determined to keep it quiet." The two appear to still be going strong as of November, and some of Taylor's new music even references her new man. Hey, after that Hiddleswift debacle, we can't say we blame her!
The CW is basically a matchmaking service for young stars at this point! In July, the internet was abuzz that Cole Sprouse and his "Riverdale" co-star Lili Reinhart were a couple, just like their characters on the show. Several reports surfaced claiming the duo were seen canoodling, holding hands and kissing at Comic-Con and that the loved-up duo couldn't keep their hands off each other. While the two have yet to publicly confirm anything, it's pretty clear that the real-life Jughead and Betty are indeed getting closer and closer!
After ending her engagement to Taylor Kinney in 2016 , Lady Gaga popped back up on the dating scene with a new man early this year! Gaga was snapped prepping for her big Super Bowl performance looking very intimate with Hollywood talent agent Christian Carino. We all shed a tear when Idris Elba confirmed that he was single no more. News emerged in August that the "Molly's Game" star, 45, had been seeing 29-year-old model (and former Miss Vancouver) Sabrina Dhowre. They made things red carpet official at the premiere of "The Mountain Between Us" at the Toronto Film Festival. A source told The Sun, "It's believed Idris and Sabrina have been dating for around seven months. Having her on his arm on a red carpet shows how serious he is about her as he doesn't do these things lightly. He usually likes to keep that side of his life private but he's proud to show Sabrina off." We know hearts are breaking everywhere!
Glen Powell and Nina Dobrev were first rumored to be a couple in January when fans of the former "Vampire Diaries" star noticed that the twosome kept popping up on each other's social media pages. A sources later told E! News, "They have a similar group of friends and have been seeing each other on the low for a little while. Glen really likes Nina. She is completely his type of gal." While things have been pretty quiet for the two of them since they both showed up at Julianne's Hough's wedding this summer, we still love this pairing!
