Female politicians in Washington, D.C., are taking a bold stand against President Donald Trump.
During the commander-in-chief's Tuesday, March 4, State of the Union address, many women in the House chamber wore pink to signal their opposition to Trump, as well as Republican power, and how damaging their stances are to females nationwide.

Democratic Representative Teresa Leger Fernández from New Mexico told Time Magazine that the unified outfit choice was to "signal our protest of Trump's policies, which are negatively impacting women and families."
"Pink is a color of power and protest," she emphasized. "It's time to rev up the opposition and come at Trump loud and clear. Women have worn pink in opposition to Trump before and we will do it again."

This is not the first time people on Capitol Hill have protested Trump. During his first term, female leftists donned all-white looks during many of his speeches.
Democrats came together once again to wear white during former President Joe Biden's 2024 State of the Union Address to promote reproductive rights after Roe v. Wade was overturned.

Now, leaders are highlighting other issues affecting women across America in the wake of Trump's return to the White House: "Women in my district are terrified and are also losing their jobs with the indiscriminate, inconsistent, chaotic, mass firings," Leger Fernández said.
"When a woman loses her job, she loses the ability to care for her family. I think it's important that Trump, my Republican colleagues, and the nation see the faces and the pain that he is inflicting on America and on the services we depend on," she continued of recent federal layoffs.

Other politicians, including Nancy Pelosi, rocked yellow and blue to support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after his headline-making fight with Trump.
Despite the disapproval of many, the former reality star made several bold statements during his first speech to the nation since he began his second term in January.

"America's momentum is back," Trump wildly declared despite the continuous firings of government employees and rising prices due to his recently enacted tariffs.
"Over the past six weeks, I have signed nearly 100 Executive Orders and taken more than 400 Executive Actions to restore COMMON SENSE, safety, optimism, and wealth all across our wonderful land," he said.

Hannity Begged Trump to 'Not Hit' Fox, Murdochs Over Election Fraud Claims

In 2023, Fox owner Rupert Murdoch admitted several hosts "endorsed" Trump's false election fraud claims. The billionaire's comments left Trump outraged, as he aligned himself with the network early in his political career.
"Why is Rupert Murdoch throwing his anchors under the table, which also happens to be killing his case and infuriating his viewers, who will again be leaving in droves — they already are," Trump penned that same year on his Truth Social platform.

A transcript of Hannity and Trump's conversation was published in Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump's Return to Power.
"Please do not hit Fox, do not hit the Murdoch family. Just please, for the love of God, please don't do it," Hannity said, according to an excerpt obtained by The Washington Post.

Hannity seemed frustrated with Trump's antics.
"Mr. President, I'm trying to help you out here with the Fox people here," the broadcaster said. "But you're not making it easy for me by going after the Murdochs."
"You're not helping me," he added. "You're not helping yourself. If you can just lay off, we can start making some moves and getting back to normal."

Trump noticed that Hannity wanted to ease the tension between Murdoch and himself.
"Sean is trying to do the right thing. But, man, the Murdochs? I don't know," he allegedly said.

Hannity later begged chief of staff Susie Wiles to intervene.
"Susie, are you in the room? Susie, can you talk to the president? For the love of God, can you talk to the president?" Hannity reportedly pleaded.
"Well, Sean, President Trump is going to do what President Trump thinks is best and fair," Wiles replied.
Hannity has since claimed he doesn't remember the conversation.

Axios journalist Alex Isenstadt, who wrote the explosive biography, claimed Murdoch became close to Doug Burgum during his feud with Trump.
"A relationship was born, and in the weeks that followed the Murdoch empire went all-in for the governor," Isenstadt wrote, noting that the media mogul suggested the former governor of North Dakota should've been Trump's running mate.

Murdoch and Trump seemingly ended their spat, as the media mogul attended the president's 2025 inauguration.
"Murdoch's theory was that you just had to keep calling Trump," Isenstadt wrote.
"Murdoch was calling so often that once, while talking to Burgum, Trump said: 'I have to go, it's Rupert.' After wrapping up with Murdoch, Trump buzzed Burgum back," he claimed. "But then Trump said he had to drop off. Why? Well, Rupert was calling again."

Trump Sparks Potential New Legal Issues With Musk-DOGE Comment

While speaking to the nation for the first time since he returned to the White House on Tuesday, March 4, the Republican leader referred to Elon Musk as the "head" of DOGE. The government officials have been hit with numerous lawsuits for their bold actions and have previously avoided explicitly naming the tech mogul as the leader of the department.

"To further combat inflation, we will not only be reducing the cost of energy but will be ending the flagrant waste of taxpayer dollars. And to that end, I have created the brand-new Department of Government Efficiency. DOGE — perhaps you've heard of it, perhaps — which is headed by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight," Trump said in the joint session on Congress.
The president's small declaration may bring significant issues as he and the Tesla founder have cut huge amounts of government jobs and ended many federally funded programs, prompting people to take legal action.

Musk's conflict of interest has also been questioned, especially after he allegedly pressured the Federal Aviation Administration to breach its contract with Verizon in favor of his company, SpaceX.
In legal documents, Trump's attorneys claimed Musk is "not an employee of the U.S. DOGE Service or the U.S. DOGE Service temporary organization."

The affidavit specifically labeled Musk as "an employee of the White House office," with the title "Senior Advisor to the President as a non-career Special Government Employee." Amy Gleason, meanwhile, was named DOGE administrator by officials.
During a recent preliminary injunction hearing, Judge Theodore Chuang pressed one of Trump's lawyers about who's really the head of the department.

"Who was the head of DOGE before Amy Gleason?" Chuang questioned.
"I can't answer that, I don't know," the attorney replied.
"I mean, that seems like a knowable fact, doesn't it?" the judge pointed out.
"I'm sure it is knowable; I just don't know it. I'm very conscious of being accurate with the court. … I just can't make a representation," the government counsel said.

Trump has said only glowing things about Musk and the work he's doing for the country.
"You know, I wanted to find somebody smarter than him," the president explained in an interview with Fox News. "I searched all over. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't. I really tried hard. I couldn't find anyone smarter. We settled on this guy."

D.C. Mayor Shares Plans to Remove Giant Black Lives Matter Mural

Washington, D.C., mayor Muriel Bowser announced Black Lives Matter Plaza will be removed as the city prepares for a redesign that celebrates the nation's 250th anniversary.

After George Floyd was murdered in 2020, D.C. decided to pay homage to the Black Lives Matter movement — which stands against police brutality and racially motivated violence against Black people — by painting the words across a two-block-long section of 16th Street.
"The mural inspired millions and helped our city through a very painful period," Bowser said in a statement.

Despite the city's intentions, there has been a rising demand to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion programs. The change could be linked to the cultural shift.
"We can't afford to be distracted by meaningless congressional interference. The devastating impacts of the federal job cuts must be our number one concern," Bowser shared, according to Fox 5. "Our focus is on economic growth, public safety, and supporting our residents affected by these cuts."

The Black Lives Matter movement was founded in 2013 by Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Ayọ Tometi.
"When we created Black Lives Matter Plaza in June 2020, we sent a strong message that Black Lives Matter, and that power has always been and always will be with well-meaning people," Bowser said in 2021.

Bowser addressed the city's plans for the mural after Georgia representative Andrew Clyde introduced a bill to remove "Black Lives Matter" from the street.
If the bill passes, the street will restore its previous name: Liberty Plaza.

Late civil rights leader John Lewis was able to see the installation before he died in 2020.
"We have transformed the mural into a monument," Bowser said. "One of my proudest memories of Black Lives Matter Plaza is when, in his final days, Congressman John Lewis came to see it for himself."
"He recognized Black Lives Matter Plaza as good trouble, and we know it will remain a gathering place for reflection, planning and action, as we work toward a more perfect union," she added.

Lewis made one of his final public outings to visit Black Lives Matter Plaza. As a historic activist and politician, Lewis was moved by the outpouring of support Floyd received.
"You filled me with hope about the next chapter of the great American story when you used your power to make a difference in our society," Lewis wrote in an essay published in The New York Times. "Millions of people motivated simply by human compassion laid down the burdens of division."

New Bill Proposes Replacing Benjamin Franklin With Trump on $100 Bills

Republican lawmaker Brandon Gill introduced the "Golden Age Act of 2025," a bill aimed at replacing Founding Father Benjamin Franklin's image on the $100 bill with that of President Donald Trump. The proposal, announced Monday, March 3, is intended to honor Trump's impact on America, with Gill stating that Trump "took a bullet for this country" and has worked tirelessly to restore American strength. 
The legislation, if passed, outlines a timeline requiring the Secretary of Treasury to reveal a preliminary design by the end of 2026, with new bills featuring Trump set for circulation starting in 2028.

Support and Opposition 
The bill faces a long road ahead, requiring approval from both the House and Senate before it could be signed into law by President Trump. With Republican control of Congress, it is not entirely outside the realm of possibility. 
However, historical data suggests that only about 6 percent of introduced bills actually pass, and many are proposed primarily for symbolic reasons or to appeal to political bases. The proposal has drawn immediate reactions from both supporters and critics, with some conservatives hailing it as a fitting tribute while opponents argue that Franklin's legacy should remain untouched.
Brandon Gill Explained
Gill, a freshman congressman from Texas, has quickly made a name for himself within the MAGA movement. Raised on a cattle ranch in Texas, he pursued a career in finance before leaving Wall Street to launch the DC Enquirer, a conservative news outlet focused on "America First" policies, according to USA Today.
His background as an investment banker and hedge fund analyst gives him a unique profile among Republican lawmakers. His proposal to replace Franklin with Trump is the latest in a string of initiatives aimed at honoring the former president.
The Challenges of Changing Currency
If Gill's bill were to pass, it would mark a significant departure from over a century of tradition, as Franklin has been on the $100 bill since 1914. Currency changes are typically a lengthy and complex process, requiring approval from both Congress and the Treasury Department.

Additionally, significant logistical hurdles exist, including the costs associated with redesigning and printing new bills. Historically, past efforts to alter U.S. currency — such as proposals to put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill — have faced extensive delays and political resistance.
Other Efforts to Honor Trump
Gill's proposal is not the only recent attempt to memorialize Trump in American history. In January, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, introduced a bill proposing that Trump's likeness be added to Mount Rushmore.

Democrats' Protest During Trump Address Falls Flat
During President Donald Trump's congressional address on Tuesday, March 4, House Democrats attempted a silent protest by holding up signs with messages such as "False," "Save Medicaid" and "Musk Steals." 
However, the demonstration did not appear to have the intended impact, as critics — including some within their own party — mocked the stunt. As the speech progressed, members of the Democratic caucus remained seated in protest before exiting the chamber as a group near the end of Trump's address.

Symone Sanders-Townsend's Critique: 'It's Giving Bingo!'
MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend did not hold back in her criticism of the Democratic protest, taking to social media to mock the strategy. "Why are Democrats just sitting there? The signs are not landing. It is giving bingo! Sigh," she wrote. 
She followed up with further jabs, joking, "'B42. B42… BINGO!' They are not taking back the House with these visuals." 
Sanders-Townsend also argued that Democratic leadership had failed its members by preventing them from speaking out in more direct ways, suggesting the protest was poorly executed and ineffective.
Trump Officials Agree with Sanders-Townsend's Criticism
While Sanders-Townsend's remarks were aimed at Democrats, members of the Trump administration found themselves in rare agreement with the MSNBC host. 
Trump deputy assistant Alex Pfeiffer reacted to her post by tweeting, "When she's right, she's right." 
White House special assistant Harrison Fields also weighed in, writing, "That's an insult to BINGO!"
The criticism from both sides highlights the broad consensus that the Democratic protest lacked effectiveness and failed to make a strong impact.
Social Media Reacts
The Democratic protest sparked debate on social media, with reactions ranging from support to ridicule. Some users defended the strategy, arguing that silent resistance was a powerful statement. Others, however, echoed Sanders-Townsend's sentiment that the stunt was uninspired and ineffective. 
One X user wrote, "Holding up signs while staying seated is not the resistance energy we need right now." 
Another added, "If you're going to protest, do it in a way that actually gets people's attention." 
Meanwhile, conservative voices used the moment to mock Democrats, with one user posting, "If this is their strategy to win back the House, good luck with that."
Heckling and Disruptions Lead to Removal of a House Democrat
Not all Democrats stuck to the silent protest. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) took things further by repeatedly heckling Trump throughout his speech. Despite being asked multiple times to take his seat, Green continued his vocal disruptions and was eventually escorted out of the chamber by security. 
Meanwhile, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) attempted a solo demonstration, holding up a hand-made sign reading "This is NOT normal" as Trump entered the room.

New Paramount Global President Jeff Shell reportedly wants his staffers to make nice with President Donald Trump.
After the current commander-in-chief filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming former Vice President Kamala Harris's 60 Minutes interview was edited to her advantage to enhance her chances of winning the 2024 election, Shell allegedly wants CBS News Chief Wendy McMahon and head of the long running show Bill Owens to settle the legal dispute once and for all.

According to a report by Status, Shell held a meeting with McMahon and Owens after Trump demanded that they release the unedited version of their sit-down with Harris, where the executive requested they comply with the orders.
Per the source, the anchor and the producer expressed to their fellow employees how they were disturbed that Shell would insert himself into what goes on in the news division.

Shell and Non-Executive Chairwoman of Paramount Global Shari Redstone have allegedly continued to pressure McMahon and Owens to end the $20 billion legal battle with The Apprentice star.
The New York Times claimed Shell told the pair that the compromise would only be a temporary setback. However, McMahon and Owens stayed firm on what a terrible precedent it would set for journalism.

Many other news networks are enduring drastic changes and seemingly scumming to pressure as the Trump administration continues to alter the media landscape.
Last month, the White House announced it would start being more selective about the outlets they will allow to have access and obtain Oval Office credentials. "It's beyond time that the White House press operation reflects the media habits of the American people in 2025, not 1925," Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained.

"The White House press team, in this administration, will determine who gets to enjoy the very privileged and limited access in spaces such as Air Force One and the Oval Office," she confirmed. "A select group of D.C.-based journalists should no longer have a monopoly of press access at the White House."
Trump has been clear about the reporters he's not a fan of. After MSNBC's Joy Reid was let go from the left-wing network as a part of a massive company shake-up to boost ratings, the politician took to social media to rejoice.

"Lowlife Chairman of 'Concast,' Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been 'canned' long ago, along with everyone else who works there," Trump ranted on the platform.
In Reid's final broadcast, she warned her viewers of "fascism" under the current leadership. "When you are in the midst of a crisis and specifically a crisis of democracy, how do you resist? When fascism isn't just coming, it's already here?" she questioned.

CBS Snags Laid Off ABC Execs as Disney Continues to Toss Staffers

ABC continues to make various changes, as its owner, Disney, continues to reduce their workforce. According to reports, former Disney and ABC employees have found a new home at competing network CBS.

Ex-ABC staffers Matthew Mosk and Wendy Fisher found executive positions at CBS after leaving their previous positions.
Most recently, Tom Cibrowski, who was an ABC veteran, became the president and executive editor of CBS news in late February.

An insider told Page Six CBS' Wendy McMahon will lean on Cibrowski to develop a morning show comparable to Good Morning America and Today.
"She's building out the team, and trying to stabilize the news division, so she can focus on her much bigger portfolio," the source noted.

As CBS prepares for their next phase, ABC is continuing to let people go.
An executive told Page Six "just under 200 employees are impacted, representing less than 6 percent of the total ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks workforce."

ABC isn't the only news platform being impacted by ratings and audience changes. MSNBC fired longtime anchor Joy Reid and canceled The Reid Out, as rumors spread that the show's ratings had dropped.
Despite the hearsay, Reid appeared surprised by the news.

While on the "Win With Black Women" podcast, Reid was overwhelmed with emotions when chatting about losing her job.
"I'm not sorry. I am not sorry that I stood up for those things," Reid said, referring to the left-leaning topics she discussed on her show.
"But in the end, where I really land … is just gratitude. Just pure gratitude and gratitude. Not just because people would take the time to get on a call like this or to take care of me. But also that my show had value," she said.

The Reid Out was canceled, but it wasn't the only MSNBC time slot that experienced a decline in popularity.
Nielsen ratings revealed Morning Joe lost 47 percent of its viewership after the election, as host Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski visited Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago to call a truce after criticizing him for years.

Despite fans' disappointment, Morning Joe was able to gain a 17 percent boost in spectators following the inauguration. Scarborough discussed his controversial meeting with Trump on-air.
"We were flooded with phone calls from people all day, literally around the world, very positive, very supportive, going 'I understand what you did,' etcetera," Scarborough said.
"All of us will do the best we can do and we're all working towards a better America," he added.

Despite the chart-topper's notoriety, Parton loved nesting with her man at their countryside mansion. "It may be sausage, biscuits and gravy, it may be just cereal and fruit, but with all she's done and all she's accomplished in her career, she feels most grounded when she can be the housewife," a source close to the blonde beauty claimed.
"Her last big concert tour was in 2016 and she doubts she will ever launch another one of those big ones again," the insider added at the time. "She's still taking meetings, either about Dollywood or new projects, but she and Carl are spending more time together than ever in their marriage. After all these years, they are still learning new things about each other."

Parton could be creative and live a low-key life in the seclusion of the couple's home outside of Nashville, which they purchased in 1999.
"When my husband, Carl, and I bought our first house, there was a den and a big fireplace," the "Jolene" singer said in an interview. "I would sit for hours in that little room and write songs and play."

When Parton wasn't wrapped up in the music industry, she and Dean often took little trips together. "I like to get down to it. I guess that's because I grew up on tour buses," the musician explained in an interview.

"We'll go from East Tennessee — the mountains — to West Tennessee, which is flat as a board. They play to different moods and we love them both," she added.

While on the road, Parton and her partner loved indulging in life's simple things. "We like staying in cheap hotels — heck, if I can sneak into a Days Inn, I'm there," she admitted.
"You don't need to be fancy to travel well. You just need to be curious and willing," the 9 to 5 actress explained while noting their favorite eateries were Cracker Barrel and Taco Bell.
"I love their tacos," she noted. "They also have little pizzas that I love."

"My husband and I pull off the road to look at any old antique store," Parton added of their adventures. "I blow in there, fly into the room and get something wonderful that says I've been there."
The "Here You Come Again" vocalist's family loved and supported Parton's union with Dean. "Carl is very introverted," Dolly's sister Stella Parton said in an interview of the ultra-private man. "He comes to every wedding of every child and grandchild, every funeral. If anyone is sick and in the hospital, he always goes."

Despite their vastly difference lifestyles, Dolly and Carl maintained a harmonious and loving relationship throughout the years.
"I know every line in his face and he knows every hair in my wig. [He's] not particularly [a fan of my songs], but he loves me," Dolly explained. "I travel a lot, but we really enjoy each other when we're together."

Russian opposition leader laid to rest: How thousands gathered to pay their respects to Alexei Navalny last year

Under threat of arrest, thousands of people lined the streets of southern Moscow on Friday, March 1, 2024, to pay their last respects to Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny as he was laid to rest after his death in an Arctic penal colony the previous month.
The throngs of mourners carried flowers and wept, and many chanted Navalny's name as the vehicle carrying his coffin passed, as seen in footage his Anti-Corruption Foundation team shared on social media. In a defiant show of opposition to Vladimir Putin, others shouted "freedom for Russia" and "love is stronger than fear," according to The New York Times.
Navalny spent years speaking out against Putin and calling for a free and democratic Russia before prison authorities announced on Feb. 16, 2024, that the 47-year-old activist had died after "feeling unwell" on a walk. Leaders from around the world, along with Navalny's supporters, have blamed Putin and his increasingly repressive regime for Navalny's death.
Photos from the open-casket service showed Navalny's parents seated by their son's body during the church service. Video from the burial, meanwhile, showed that the late opposition leader squeezed in a final statement of defiance in the form of music.
As his coffin was lowered into the ground, Frank Sinatra's "My Way" played, followed by the theme from "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." The same music plays in the final scene of "Judgement Day" — reportedly Navalny's favorite movie — as Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator character descends into a tub of molten steel and flashes a thumbs-up.

Prior to Alexei Navalny's funeral service, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on a call with reporters that "any unauthorized gathering" would be "in violation of the law," according to CNN.
Within a few hours of the funeral's end, at least 45 people had been detained by police across Russia, CNN later reported, citing data collected by OVD-Info.

Neither Alexei Navalny's widow, Yulia Navalnaya, nor their children, Daria and Zakhar, attended his funeral, presumably for safety reasons.
Prior to the service, Yulia expressed concern supporters would be arrested. On March 1, 2024, she shared a memorial tribute to her husband, using his nickname.
"Lyosha, thank you for 26 years of absolute happiness," she wrote. "Yes, even over the last three years of happiness. I don't know how to live without you, but I will try to make you up there happy for me and proud of me."

On Tuesday, March 4, Ron Filipkowski shared a snapshot of Noem wearing a bulletproof vest while working alongside police.
"Kristi Noem this morning," the journalist wrote on X.

"Border Barbie is taking her cosplay waaaaay too seriously," one X user replied.
"Is it possible to die from cringe? Just curious," another wrote.

Noem, who frequently participates in deportations in full glam, often shares the incidents on X and Instagram.
"Kristi Noem stays playing dress-up — police in the city, border patrol at the border. Republicans lost their minds over Zelenskyy's shirt, but Noem out here treating every day like Halloween," one X user wrote, referencing criticism over the Ukrainian president's dressed-down appearance at the Oval Office.
"Full costume, hair, makeup — Method acting for Fox News," they continued.
"She likes to play dress up and wear costumes," another X user stated while sharing a photo of Noem on a horse.

While people were irritated by Noem's visibility, she has been using X to share information about Donald Trump's immigration stance.
"February was the lowest month in recorded history for encounters at our border. The world is hearing our message: do not come to our country illegally," Noem shared on Thursday, February 27. "If you do, we will find you, arrest you, and send you back. Thank you President @realDonaldTrump."

During Trump's presidential campaign, he promised to increase surveillance at the Mexican-American border.
"We slashed border encounters from a staggering 15,000 a day under Joe Biden to a 15-year low of just 200 under @realDonaldTrump," Noem claimed.
"We are unleashing the Border Patrol, ICE, and our entire DHS Team to secure our border and send illegal aliens back to where they came from," she added.

Aside from sharing live footage from arrests, Noem and Trump worked on an expensive commercial to discourage migrants from entering the country.
"Tonight, I'm announcing a nationwide and international multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to leave our country NOW or face deportation with the inability to return to the U.S.," she wrote.

The former Governor of South Dakota believed the video would be impactful despite its hefty price.
"This serves as a strong warning to criminal illegal aliens to not come to America," Noem wrote in a tweet. "If they do, they will be hunted down and deported. Thank you @realdonaldtrump for securing our border and putting America first."

Some people wondered if the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would see the video campaign as wasteful.
"Hey DOGE… found some waste for you to remove," one person wrote on X.

"Multimillion-dollar ad campaign? And who's paying for that then? Shouldn't DOGE be investigating this," another X user stated.

Why Fox News Interrupted Melania Trump's Capitol Hill Speech

Fox News made a big slip-up while covering First Lady Melania Trump.
On Monday, March 3, the former model, 54, made an impassioned speech during a meeting on Capitol Hill to support the Take It Down Act — a bill which will make it unlawful for a person to knowingly publish or threaten to publish revenge p*** on social media and other online platforms. Despite Melania's important cause, the right-wing cable channel cut into other programming in the middle of the gathering.

As Melania began her address, her husband, President Donald Trump, 78, took to his Truth Social account to promote the speech.
"Watching our First Lady now, great job!" he wrote alongside a link to Fox's coverage.
Unfortunately, as Melania made several strong points about bipartisan support for the bill, the network switched to a commercial with Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) about legislation banning trans athletes from women's sports.

During Melania's first public event since she resumed her duties as first lady on January 20, the former model advocated for women who have been victimized after people spread their personal content without their consent.
"This toxic environment can be severely damaging," she said. "We must prioritize their well-being by equipping them with the support and tools necessary to navigate this hostile digital landscape."
_
"Every young person deserves a safe online space to express themself freely, without the looming threat of exploitation or harm," Melania said.
FLOTUS was joined by Republican Senator Ted Cruz — who is the bill's sponsor — as well as Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar. However, the native of Slovenia called out the lack of left-wing support.

"I was heartened to learn that Senator Cruz and Senator Klobuchar united on this fundamental matter," Melania said. "However, I expected to see more Democratic leaders here today to address this serious issue. Surely, as adults, we can prioritize America's children ahead of partisan politics."
Senator Cruz gushed over Melania's efforts, noting that it was "incredibly important" work.
"I'm confident it's going to play a critical role in accelerating the passage of this bill and getting it passed into law," he said.

"This legislation is essential for addressing the growing concerns related to online safety, protecting individual rights and promoting a healthier digital environment," Melania said.
If the proposed law goes through, social media platforms will be required to remove such images within 48 hours and would make it a crime to knowingly publish such non-consensual intimate visual depictions.

Fox News Host Disappointed Conan 'Went There' With Trump Diss at Oscars

Concha wanted the television host to avoid discussing politics during the Academy Awards, but O'Brien failed to meet his expectations.
"I was hopeful… that Conan O'Brien, who I thought could never be confused with Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert, would not morph into your average MSNBC host," Concha said on Monday, March 3.
"I just thought Conan was a little above this, but of course he went there," he added.

O'Brien discussed how Anora, which focuses on an American woman marrying the son of a Russian oligarch, took home many awards. The famous redhead used the movie's plot to segue into a Trump diss.
"You know, Anora is having a good night," O'Brien told the crowd.
"That's great news; two wins already. I guess Americans are excited to see somebody finally stand up to a powerful Russian," he joked, referring to Trump's stance on the Russia-Ukraine war.

Concha also predicted O'Brien's tone led to a decline in ratings.
"We all want escapism when we watch the Oscars, but of course we couldn't get it," he complained. "We'll probably hear that this was the lowest rated Oscars of all time because half the country just reflexively says, 'I'm not going to watch this because I don't want to be lectured.'"

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 2025 Oscars attracted 19.69 million viewers — the largest audience in five years — across ABC and Hulu on Sunday, March 2.

Aside from his thoughts on the Oscars, Concha also shared his thoughts on Trump's desire to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
"Conan, here's a little history lesson. Putin invaded other countries under George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden," he said.
"The one president who was in office for four years when he didn't invade was Donald Trump, when he was in power," he continued.

On Monday, March 3, Senate Democrats successfully blocked a Republican-backed bill that sought to ban transgender athletes from competing in women's sports. The legislation, introduced by Sen. "Trump and [Vice President J.D.] Vance threw Zelensky under the bus because people are angry about [Elon] Musk's crazy cutting spree and Trump kissing [Vladimir] Putin's a**. Tossed the base some red meat (I'm looking at you, Lindsey Graham). Old pro wrestling trick. Fire up the crowd," the famed novelist wrote.
King's statement got mixed responses. "Why should America keep footing the bill for Europe's defense when they won't stand up to Russia themselves?" one X user asked.

"Why don't you put your millions to use Stephen and write Ukraine a check???" a second X user chimed in.
"This makes absolutely no sense," a third said.


However, others loved the 77-year-old's take on the current political climate. "I'm so glad you're back Stephen. Your voice is so important," wrote one fan.

On Friday, February 28, Trump and Vance got into a heated confrontation in the Oval Office with the Ukrainian president over the United States' role in the war.
"Mr. President, with respect, I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media," the former senator from Ohio told Zelensky.

"Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for bringing it, to bring it into this country," Vance said.
Zelensky wasted no time calling out the second-in-command, stating, "Have you ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?"

Things continued to take a turn when Trump chimed in. "You don't have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards," he scolded Zelensky.
"I'm not playing cards," Ukraine's president replied.
"Yeah, you're playing cards," Trump fired back. "You're gambling with the lives of millions of people. You're gambling with World War III. You're gambling with World War III. And what you're doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country."

President Donald Trump suspended U.S. military aid to Ukraine in the wake of his heated confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, February 28, a White House official confirmed. 

The pause marks a dramatic shift in U.S. foreign policy, as Trump has moved toward engaging in peace talks with Russia while scrutinizing continued support for Ukraine. The White House stated that the aid is being reviewed to ensure it aligns with Trump's broader diplomatic objectives. However, the administration has not specified the exact scope of the pause or how long it may last. The Pentagon also declined to provide additional details.

Ukrainian Officials Sound Alarm Over Aid Suspension
Ukrainian leaders expressed deep concern over the suspension of military aid, with some officials accusing Trump of pressuring Ukraine into surrendering to Russia. Oleksandr Merezhko, head of Ukraine's parliamentary foreign affairs committee, warned that the decision appeared to be "pushing us towards capitulation." 

While Zelensky has not yet publicly responded, the move exacerbates tensions between the two leaders, who clashed last week when Trump berated Zelensky for not showing enough gratitude for U.S. support. The latest development raises fresh uncertainty about Ukraine's ability to sustain its defense as it continues to fight Russian aggression.

CNBC's Jim Cramer harshly criticized the Trump administration over the rollout of new 25 percent tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico, calling the process a chaotic mess with no clear guidelines for businesses. 
Speaking on Squawk on the Street, Cramer expressed frustration over the lack of clarity, stating that major industries — including automakers and packaged goods companies — have no idea how to comply with the new tariffs.
He compared the situation unfavorably to Brexit in the U.K. — where businesses at least received clear instructions on tariff obligations — and explained how new tariffs could make the cost of a beloved beer brand soar.

Modelo Beer: A Casualty of the New Tariffs?
Cramer used Modelo Especial, the best-selling beer in the U.S., as a prime example of how the tariffs could backfire on American consumers. He argued that a 25 percent price increase would make the beer unaffordable for many, potentially driving consumers toward cheaper domestic alternatives. Constellation Brands, the parent company of Modelo, is reportedly scrambling to determine whether they or their distributors will be responsible for covering the tariff costs.
Business Owners Left in the Dark
One of Cramer's biggest concerns is that there are no clear instructions on how the tariffs will be collected.
He asked a series of unanswered questions: "Who owes the tariffs? The buyer? The distributor? The retailer? Are they paid at the border?"
The "lack of transparency," he warned, is making it impossible for companies to plan for the financial impact of these new costs, putting them at risk of severe disruptions let alone the disruption countries such as Canada will feel.
Cramer Demands a Plan from the White House

He emphasized that this is not how the U.S. economy should be run, slamming the lack of foresight and organization.

Texts Revealed: How Fired LAFD Chief First Responded to Historic Wildfires

The Los Angeles County wildfires continue to leave the city devastated, as local politicians work toward rebuilding — and now, new details about how the fire department first reacted to the ordeal are coming to light.
After Former Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley was terminated from her role by Mayor Karen Bass, a text message showed the former's response to the incident.

Emergency Management Department General Manager Carol Parks reached out to Crowley on January 6, one day before the wildfires started.
"It's my first opportunity to send this Public Safety leadership text," Parks wrote in messages obtained by ABC News. "Wishing it could have been on a blue sky day, but duty now calls."

The next day, the City of Angeles experienced the worst wildfire in the region's history.
"Not good," Los Angeles County Fire Chief Tony Marrone texted Crowley at around 11:18 a.m.
"No," Crowley replied.

Bass credited Crowley's firing to her response to the Pacific Palisades fire, which resulted in 12 people dying, as well as, 23,000 acres of land and 6,837 homes being destroyed.
However, the firefighter is currently fighting her termination.

The union that represented the city's fire department defended Crowley against Bass.
"Despite the manufactured reasons that have been publicly offered for her termination, the reality is Kristin Crowley was fired for telling the truth," their statement read, as Crowley appealed the mayor's decision.

While Bass was critical of Crowley's work, the politician's trip to Ghana, which occurred at the beginning of the natural disaster, wasn't well-received.
"It was a mistake to travel, but I will tell you that we need to evaluate everything," Bass said on KABC-TV. "Because, honest and truly, if I had all of the information that I needed to have, the last thing I would have done was to be out of town."

While Bass and Crowley continue to spat over the latter's job, Governor Gavin Newsom has been updating the public on the rate of rebuilding communities, including the Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
Newsom's team told Newsweek the priority is "securing critical disaster aid for the survivors of the Los Angeles fires and ensuring impacted families who lost their homes and livelihoods have the support they need to rebuild and recover."

After both parties expressed their desire to sit down for an interview, Musk tweeted, "Jon Stewart is much more a propagandist than it would seem. Jon is too set in his ways. He used to be more bipartisan."
During the Monday, March 3, episode of the political comedy series, Stewart ripped the DOGE specialist to shreds over the remark. "I thought about [his offer] and after a prayerful week with my family, I thought, 'You know, that's actually how the in-studio interviews normally air — unedited. So, sure, we'd be delighted!'" he said in part.

"But then I checked X again and I saw another tweet from Elon, because you can't not," the funnyman recalled. "He then said — after saying he'd like to come on — that 'Jon Stewart cannot be trusted' and that I'm a 'propagandist' and a 'bipartisan.' You give me too little credit. Again, the guy who custom-made his own dark MAGA hat that he wears to opine in the Oval Office with the president who he spent $270 million to elect … thinks I'm just too partisan."
Stewart then said he's not sure Musk knows what "bipartisan means."
"But its generally not, 'I support Donald Trump and also Germany's AFD party' — that's not bipartisan. That's just the same s***," Stewart yelled.

When the commentator finally cooled down, he leveled with Musk and welcomed him for a chat. "I guess what I'll say is this: Look, Elon, I do have some criticisms about DOGE. I support, in general, the idea of efficiency and delivering better services to the American public in cheaper and more efficient ways," he said.
"If you want to come in and talk about it on the show, great. If you don't want to, sure. But can we just drop the pretense that you won't do it because I don't measure up to the standards of neutral discourse that you demand and display at all times? Because quite frankly, that's b*******. You know it, and I know it — it's b*******," Stewart said.

The television star has been extremely vocal about the humor he finds in the Trump administration. Later in the broadcast, the left-leaning star trolled the commander-in-chief for his wild fight with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office.
"The best way that I can explain what happened, to show Americans how to process this new reality was with another shocking turn of events this weekend," he said as they cut to footage of a WWE match.

"The [below-the-belt] shot to the hopes and dreams of Ukrainians everywhere! And then, for no reason, America jumped on Zelensky and started punching him in the face as many times as it could," Stewart joked as the camera continued to show two people fighting in the ring.
"Too simplistic?" Stewart questioned about his wrestling metaphor. "No! This is it!"

According to Barron's, Tesla's stock dropped by 4.4% as investors begin to consider Trump's tariffs and foreign trade policies.
Adding to the brand's financial troubles, some left-leaning consumers have called for a boycott or "buyers strike" of Tesla products over its CEO's divisive politics.



The South African businessman has developed a close friendship with the president and often accompanies him to political gatherings.

While Tesla lenders might be disappointed in this week's stock performance, they might soon notice a rebound in their portfolios.
In February, Tesla sold 42,000 cars — about 14% more than the 37,000 sold in February 2024, according to Ward's Automotive.


Reports also show shares were up about $20, or 8%, since the 2024 election, and by December of last year, they traded above $480.

Tesla is an American car company, but many of its parts are imported from China, Mexico, India and Taiwan.



Tesla's wholesale number for China in February dropped nearly 50%, driving down its stock evaluation.

Musk, who owns X, has been vocal about international relations and DOGE's work but has seemingly avoided discussing Tesla and its performance on the social media platform.
However, he has reposted comments on X claiming he's a "mission driven" entrepreneur and not fixated on monetary gain.

During his State of the Union address on Tuesday, March 4, Trump celebrated the development of DOGE.
"I have created the brand new Department of Government Efficiency — DOGE," he told congress, adding, "Perhaps you've heard of it."

Trump later applauded Musk's efforts while he watched from the crowd.
"[DOGE] is headed by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight," the former reality star said.
"Thank you, Elon. He's working very hard. He didn't need this," Trump continued. "He didn't need this. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. Everybody here — even this side — appreciates it, I believe. They just don't want to admit that."

The U.S. has been Ukraine's ally for years, but Trump hoped to persuade Zelensky to end his battle against Russia.
"President Zelensky, unfortunately, was ungrateful to the American taxpayer," she said, but the former entertainer has publicly thanked America for its contributions about 33 times.
_
Following their tense conversation, the White House announced the U.S. would stop giving funds to Ukraine.
"And frankly, putting aside my job as President Trump's spokeswoman, as an American citizen, it was incredibly profound to watch our president actually stand up for us, for the taxpaying American, law-abiding citizen who is sick and tired of seeing hundreds of billions of dollars go out the door every single year when we have real problems in our country here," Leavitt told Fox News.

Leavitt later attempted to paint Zelensky as combative.
"Unfortunately, President Zelensk is not in the mindset to negotiate peace," the professional claimed.
"And I think, frankly, it was incredibly refreshing to watch the president and the vice president stand up for America and to have that be before the world to see," she added.

White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller seemed to support Trump's antics.
"[T]his is one of the great moments in the history of American diplomacy," Miller said in a statement.

A White House official told the Associated Press Trump is "committed" to developing a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
However, the U.S. is "pausing and reviewing" its aid to the Ukraine in an attempt to "ensure that it is contributing to a solution."

After being asked to leave the White House, Zelensky took to X to defend himself.
"I would like to reiterate Ukraine's commitment to peace. None of us wants an endless war," he wrote. "Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer."
"Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians," he noted. "My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership to get a peace that lasts."

"We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence," he continued after Trump and J.D. Vance painted him as ungrateful.

In his message, Zelensky was open to reconnecting with Trump.
"Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be," he admitted. "It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive."

During their chat, the former star of The Celebrity Apprentice became agitated with Zelensky.
"You're gambling with World War III, and what you're doing is very disrespectful to this country," Trump reportedly said to Zelensky. 
"You either make a deal or we are out," Trump stressed.

Trump Puts Rubio on the Spot Over Panama Canal Remarks
During his Tuesday, March 4, speech to Congress, President Donald Trump made headlines by publicly singling out Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stating that he would be "to blame if anything goes wrong" regarding the administration's ambitions to reclaim the Panama Canal, The Daily Beast reported. 
Trump's comments, while delivered with a chuckle, highlighted for some his authoritative grip over his Cabinet members and came just days after Rubio's uncomfortable viral moment in the Oval Office as Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. 
The remark signaled a high-pressure expectation for Rubio, as Trump reaffirmed his stance that the canal was "built by Americans for Americans" and should not remain under Panama's control.

In one of the most striking moments of the speech, Trump asserted that the United States was working to regain control of the Panama Canal — despite Panama's government stating that it is not for sale. 
"The Panama Canal was built by Americans for Americans," Trump said. "It was given away by the Carter administration for one dollar. That agreement has been violated severely, and we're taking it back." 
The claim, which would carry significant diplomatic consequences, was met with applause from Trump's allies but raised alarms among foreign policy experts.

Bill Murray Explains How Belushi Biography Made Him Question Watergate

Bill Murray revealed he doesn't believe journalist Bob Woodward's exposure of Richard Nixon after reading his biography on his late friend John Belushi.
The comedian described the project as inaccurate, leading him to question the infamous Watergate scandal.

Woodward, who is an award-winning journalist, and his investigation of Nixon led to the president's resignation.
Members of Nixon's re-election committee placed listening devices in the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate building, which greatly impacted Nixon's political career.

Murray discussed his reaction to reading Wired with Joe Rogan on the "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast.
"When I read Wired, the book written by what's his name? Woodward. About Belushi. I read like five pages of Wired, and I went, 'Oh my God. They framed Nixon,'" he told the UFC commentator.

Nixon became the only American president to relieve himself of duties, but Murray wonders if there was foul play involved.
"If this is what he writes about my friend that I've known, you know, for, you know, half of my adult life — which is completely inaccurate, talking to like, the people of the outer outer circle, getting the story — what the h*** could they have done to Nixon?" he asked.

Murray later revealed that he didn't finish the book, but the small pieces he consumed, he didn't believe to be true.
"I just felt like if he did this to my friend like this, and I acknowledge I only read five pages but the five pages I read made me want to set fire to the whole thing," he continued.

The Ghostbusters star's opinion of Woodward changed due to his portrayal of Belushi.
"See if you get those five pages I went," Murray stated. "If he did this to Belushi, what he did in Nixon's is probably soiled for me, too. I can't, I can't take it."

Woodward spoke to Belushi's widow, former coworkers and more for the project. However, Murray questioned the quality of the reporter's examination.
"And I know you say, well, you could have two sources and everything like that, but the two sources that he had, if he had them for the Wired book, were so far outside the inner circle that it was it was criminal," Murray claimed.

The hosts of Fox & Friends were appalled by how Vice President J.D. Vance was treated during a family ski trip to Vermont.
During the Sunday, March 2, broadcast, anchors Rachel Campos-Duffy, Charlie Hunt and Peter Doocy railed against the people who stood alongside the road with anti-Donald Trump signs as the second-in-command tried to vacation at the Sugarbush Resort in the town of Warren.

"J.D. Vance went skiing and, boy, the Vermonters were not very friendly and welcoming," Campos-Duffy declared. "I don't think any conservatives would want to go to Vermont skiing anymore!"
"Shocking to find out that the state that keeps sending us Bernie Sanders decided to turn out against J.D. Vance because of the showdown in the White House yesterday," Hunt chimed in about the hundreds of protestors making a statement after Vance attacked Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in front of the press.

Campos-Duffy took issue with the Marine Corps veteran's wife, Usha Vance, and their kids being involved, saying, "I think family should be off limits."
She then remembered Trump's vendetta against former President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, qualifying that he "sold out the country" and "there was a reason to talk about it."
"Why are they bothering? This man on his ski vacation!" she added of Vance.

Doocy noted how he didn't think Vance even saw the angry mob as he made his way into town. "Do you think he's looking out of his window? He's looking at these memes from the Oval Office meeting the other day," he pointed out.
During the tense Friday, February 28, meeting at the White House between Vance, Trump and Zelensky, the Ohio native called out the 47-year-old for not thanking former star of The Apprentice for helping him as his country continues to be involved in the war against Russia.

"Mr. President, with respect, I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media," Vance scolded Zelensky.
"Right now, you guys are going around and forcing conscripts to the front lines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president for bringing it, to bring it into this country," he continued.

"Have you've ever been to Ukraine that you say what problems we have?" Zelensky pressed Vance.
"I've actually watched and seen the stories and I know that what happens is you bring people, you bring them on a propaganda tour. Mr. President. Do you disagree that you've had problems bringing people into your military?" the VP fired back. "And do you think that it's respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country?"
