Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrity love life stories that made headlines in November 2017, starting with the breakup that rocked Young Hollywood: On Nov. 1, TMZ shed some light on Selena Gomez's breakup with The Weeknd, reporting that the Canadian artist is the one who did the dumping. According to the website, the "Starboy" singer broke up with Selena over the phone when it became clear that their romance had stalled. (They spent less time together over the summer due to her shooting schedule and his touring schedule.) "Abel enjoyed being single before he met Selena and felt unfairly tied down in a relationship that had lost its passion," reported TMZ. The duo called it quits in October after 10 months of coupledom. Now keep reading for more of the biggest celebrity love life stories of the month…

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reunited not long after she and The Weeknd broke up. They were seen together countless times in early November (before the news broke that she and the "Starboy" singer had officially called it quits) engaging in a wide range of activities — from riding bikes and dining together to attending church services and smooching at a hockey game. "They have so much to catch up on… They dealt with things separately this year that made them different people. It seems their relationship now is very different. Justin is certainly a much better person. He would be a better boyfriend too," a source told People magazine, adding that "[Justin] is waiting for Selena to tell him that they are officially back together." Continued the source, "He doesn't feel any rush, because no doubt they are already emotionally back together."

Meanwhile, there's been no shortage of beautiful women lined up to spend time with The Weeknd following his breakup with Selena Gomez. On Oct. 30, he got close to a mystery woman at a Toronto nightclub. On Nov. 10, he was seen with another Justin Bieber-ex, model Yovanna Ventura. ("He thinks Yovanna is a beautiful woman and cool to kick it with but nothing more. She is fun hanging out with," a source told E!) Then on Nov. 14, he was seen leaving ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid's apartment. (The singer and the model split in November 2016 after a year and a half of dating.) Though the former couple have yet to officially reconcile, a source told E! that's not completely off the table, though the model has her guard up with her ex, who's hurt her in the past. "She never really got over him," said the source. "She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his friend. His schedule won't allow him to stay focused on her — she knows this from past experience. She also knows he is talking to a few girls still. She reads what is put out in the news and that affects her."
On Nov. 27, the Twitter account for Prince Charles and Clarence House announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had gotten engaged in London earlier in the month. "The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course," Clarence House said in the official statement, which added that the fifth in line to the British throne "sought and received the blessing" of the "Suits" star's parents. "The couple will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace," concluded Clarence House. Following the social media announcement, the newly engaged duo posed for photos at London's Kensington Palace, where the retired actress (she reportedly wrapped her role on "Suits" in mid-November) showed off her Cleave and Company-crafted engagement ring, which is comprised of two diamonds from Princess Diana's personal collection and a third diamond from Botswana, a country the couple of less than two years visited earlier this year. Engagement buzz ramped up in late November after multiple media outlets reported that Meghan had officially relocated from Toronto to London to be closer to her beau.
On Nov. 16, People magazine reported that Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga, who got engaged in 2008, had called it quits after nearly a decade of coupledom. "They have been in the process of ending their relationship for a number of months," the singer-actress's rep said in a statement. "Today, Jennifer requested and received a protective order against her ex-fiance. Jennifer's actions are solely taken in the best interest of their son." According to TMZ, the "American Idol" alum (who reportedly has a new boyfriend already) has accused her ex of "aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior." She reportedly claimed in legal documents that she's "living in fear" of David and worries that he might try to kidnap their son. But for his part, the former professional wrestler and reality TV star claims that J.Hud is lying to get an edge in the battle for custody of 8-year-old David Jr., who he says has been raised primarily by him as his mother travels the world for work commitments. (David Sr. is fighting for residential custody.)
Us Weekly reported on Nov. 21 that Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk are engaged, and according to an "Entertainment Tonight" source, the TV producer actually popped the question a year ago. "She's had the ring a long time," said the source. The duo started dating more than three years ago. The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly waiting to officially announce her engagement on her website, Goop, at a later date.
On Nov. 1, Us Weekly reported that Lady Gaga and Christian Carino had gotten engaged over the summer after the CAA talent agent asked the superstar's father for his permission to propose earlier this year. On Nov. 17, a Gaga fan account revealed on Twitter that Christian had gotten a tattoo of his girlfriend's face on his bicep.

The duo eloped while vacationing with friends in Hawaii in July and found out Jordin was pregnant the following month.

Dakota was seen taking in the Buenos Aires concert from a sound booth on Nov. 14.
Amicable exes Chris Evans and Jenny Slate raised questions about the nature of their relationship in November when the "Captain America" star tweeted a video of his dog that featured the voice of a woman laughing in the background who sounded an awful lot like the actress. Jenny, who has one of the most recognizable voices in Hollywood, fueled the reconciliation rumors on Nov. 10 when she tweeted about her "boyfriend." The duo, who split in February after a little less than a year of coupledom, were also seen out together twice in October.

The Victoria's Secret model even tagged along as the singer-actor's plus-one to Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's engagement party on Nov. 4. "She thinks he is very sweet and sexy. Every time they hang out he has been a complete gentleman. [But] they are not exclusive," a source told E! of the new duo.

On Nov. 4, MailOnline reported that Daisy Ridley and actor Tom Bateman found love on the set of "Murder on the Orient Express." One of the film's producers, Judy Hofflund, accidentally spilled the beans during the London premiere of the murder mystery: "Something kinda happened with Tom and Daisy… but that's public news, right? I should keep my mouth shut," she said. The English actor downplayed the comments, though, maintaining that the producer was simply trying to "create a buzz" for the movie by linking him and his co-star. Daisy, meanwhile, refused to comment on the report.
Jennie Garth and her husband of two years, Dave Abrams, are taking some time apart. After the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum raised questions about the state of her marriage in November by stepping out several times sans wedding ring, her rep was moved to confirm the news to Us Weekly on Nov. 21. Added a source, "They are still trying to make it work, but they haven't been living together. They love each other, but like every marriage, it takes work. Jennie is taking the time to focus on her girls and herself."
E! News reported on Nov. 19 that there might be something going on with Olivia Munn and Will Forte. The duo reportedly appeared chummy during HBO's Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs event, partied together at a nightclub later that evening and then returned to the same hotel around 5 o'clock in the morning. (They reportedly visited the hotel's front desk at the same time and then boarded an elevator together.)
On the Nov. 6 episode of Howard Stern's satellite radio show, Rosie O'Donnell revealed that she has a new girlfriend, a 33-year-old Boston city cop named Rooney. "I am in love. It's the first time I've dated someone younger than me and it's a very trippy thing," said the 55-year-old funnywoman, who added that she's not interested in tying the knot again. "I would just rather stay in it for love and not have to deal with lawyers if, God forbid, it didn't work out," said the twice-divorced actress, whose second wife, Michelle Rounds, committed suicide in September.
Though Jennifer Garner filed to divorce Ben Affleck in April nearly two years after they announced their split, she has no intention of moving on anytime soon. On Nov. 21, Us Weekly reported that the actress opened up about her love life at a recent Hollywood Foreign Press Association event, saying, "I would not have chosen this life for myself or my kids. I would not choose to be single or be in this position. It's something that we are working through. I haven't been on a date and I am not interested in dating. People want to set me up and I am just like, 'No, thank you!'"
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander tied the knot in Italy on Nov. 4, just days after the baseball star's team, the Houston Astros, won the World Series. The duo, who've been an item since early 2014, announced their engagement during the 2016 Met Gala.
Elon Musk opened up about his August breakup from Amber Heard in an interview with Rolling Stone that the magazine published on Nov. 15. "I was really in love, and it hurt bad… Well, she broke up with me more than I broke up with her, I think," said the tech billionaire, who dated the actress for about a year. (The Daily Mail reported around the time of the breakup that it was actually Elon who did the dumping after, according to a source, he "heard certain things about [Amber's] behavior that didn't sit well with him.")
Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian tied the knot at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans on Nov. 16. Beyonce, Ciara, JAY-Z, Kim Kardashian West, Colton Haynes, Anna Wintour, Eva Longoria and Kelly Rowland were among the guests at the "Beauty and the Beast"-themed nuptials, during which the tennis star reportedly wore two gowns. In her filing, the singer-actress cited "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper." Mike claimed to Bossip that he was blindsided by the news. "She's an evil woman," he said of his ex. "It's like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets. She's got issues. There's no men in that family, there's only women. And when a man comes in, it's like a challenge."
