Marvel actress says Internet nickname 'makes me feel old'

Elizabeth Olsen has no children, but she's still a mother… the Internet's mother.

Months ago, the Marvel actress was given the nickname "the Internet's mom," a title she admits to not being too fond of.

"I really don't get it. My friends have tried to explain to me that it's, like, a good thing? I don't know," she told Entertainment Tonight when asked how she feels about the unofficial title. "I think it's very odd. Mothers are great, I guess. It makes me feel like, old? Cause I think the people saying it must be young? Like I'm not sure."

The nickname took on a life of its own after she presented an award with Pedro Pascal at the Oscars in March. Pedro, of course, is affectionately known as the "Internet's daddy."

Although Elizabeth, 34, doesn't know what to think of the parental nicknames, she does have nothing but praise for Pedro.

"I would love to work with Pedro, we've been friends for a long time, and I was happy to be able to be standing up there with him," she said of the Oscars.

Elizabeth has expressed interest in having children in due time. If she does end up welcoming kids, their childhood will be vastly different from hers, having grown up as the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"It's definitely not a lot of people's average childhood, but I don't know if any of us look back at our childhoods and think of any of them as average," she said in 2021. "I guess it was unique to me and my sisters' experience."

'Friends' star's former spouse admits he was intimidated by her career and that his insecurities contributed to their split

David Arquette is admitting that Courteney Cox's fame had a negative impact on their marriage.

While speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show, the actor confirmed that he "absolutely" felt threatened by his then-wife's success on "Friends," especially because she's "someone who's at the top of the television, iconic world."

"I have some of the traditional male things where I want to like, you know, provide and pick up the check and, you know, be the breadwinner,"  the "Scream" star said, according to Page Six.

David and Courteney were married from 1999 to 2012, but her massive success led to  "pain" and "arguments."

Eventually David realized he needed to work on himself.

"A lot of it has to do with the way you're taking things, the way you're saying things, the way you're responding to things, the way you're allowing other sort of outside influences affect how you feel about yourself," he said.

In the end, the marriage couldn't be saved, but the exes have always maintained an amicable relationship.

"He's my favorite person in the world," she told People magazine in 2012 as their divorce was finalized. "No matter what happens in our future, he's my very best friend."

Dog The Bounty Hunter's daughter loses six pets — three cats, a dog, a gecko and a snake — in house fire

Bonnie Chapman, the biological daughter of Dog The Bounty Hunter and Beth Chapman, is dealing with another blow to her life after a house fire destroyed her belongings and resulted in the deaths of her six pets.

Although Bonnie said her "heart is obliterated," one of the few silver linings was that she was able to save the ashes of her late mother.

Bonnie Chapman/Instagram

Bonnie told TMZ she was at work on Tuesday when she got a call explaining that her Virginia home was on fire. She immediately packed up her things and headed toward the rental home.

"I thought maybe it was a mistake, maybe it was the house next to us," she said.

After getting into her neighborhood, it was clear that her house was ablaze and her life was literally in ruins. Her pets — which included three cats, a dog, a gecko and a pet snake — all died of smoke inhalation.

"I lost some of the photos from my mother and some of the belongings of hers, but I was able to salvage some of them," she said. "I was able to salvage the ashes I have of my mother. That was one of my main worries."

Beth passed in June 2019 following a lengthy battle with throat cancer

In the aftermath of the fire, Bonnie plans to remember her animals with cremation rings or by commissioning artwork of them.

While the fire is clearly devastating, Bonnie is finding solace in the fact that Beth and her favorite cat, named Plum, can now be together.

"I hope my mom is happy to have Plum with her because that cat helped her thru everything," Bonnie said.

On April 28, Bonnie spoke about the fire and her pets on Instagram, saying they "passed swiftly and without injury."

"On the evening of April 25th, my furry family joined my mother in heaven. My mother loved my pets, and I know she is showering them with love. My heart is obliterated," she wrote. "To know they passed without me will hang with me for the rest of my life. I gave all of them a wonderful life filled with treats, salmon, long nature walks, steak, chicken, and endless nights filled with cuddling."

She later added, "I cherished every moment I spent with these babies and am devastated that I wasn't able to save them. I would have given my life for any of them. They were my reason to live in my darkest moments. Each and every one of them will be remembered. Until we meet again, my babies, I miss you all with every fiber of my being. Thank you for the memories and love. Rest in peace."

'Top Chef' host explains why she took her 13 year old off social media

Padma Lakshmi's daughter's social media channels have been cooked.

The "Top Chef" host no longer allows Krishna, 13, to use Instagram, TikTok, Twitter or any other platform, and Padma says it's really for her daughter's own good.

Kristina Bumphrey/Shutterstock

"I took social media away from her because I felt like she was comparing herself to a lot of people and images that really aren't good for a teenage girl," she told Us Weekly at the Time100 gala on April 26. "She's very smart and bright, and my job is to shepherd her on the path of being the best of yourself."

Knowing that her daughter is at a somewhat awkward age — no longer a child, but certainly not an adult — Padma said she's advised Krishna to "be kind to herself."

Krishna, though, often appears on Padma's social media, but that's different, as the "Taste the Nation With Padma Lakshmi" host controls the content. Earlier this year, Padma posted a video showing her cooking in short tank top, but Krishna stole the show as she covered her mom's chest with her hand. The teen said she was "censoring."

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

Padma was actually mom-shamed for the video, but she clapped back at haters who claimed that the teen was uncomfortable.

"First if all it's a JOKE. And my daughter isn't uncomfortable with me or my boobs or my posts, nor does she read these comments unless I show her because she isn't on social media," she wrote. "It's really not that serious folks.

The model noted that Krishna is too busy with "her studies" to worry about social media.

Ivanka Trump shares first message since father Donald Trump's arrest

Ivanka Trump is back is back on social media for the first time since her father's arrest.

The former first daughter has been largely silent since former President Donald Trump, her father, was indicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and conspiracy. However, after nearly a one-month hiatus from social media, Ivanka returned to Instagram on Monday, April 24, and she brought the heat… the Miami Heat, actually.

In her first posts since that her dad pleaded not guilty in a New York City courtroom, Ivanka shared images to her Instagram Story from the Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks game. Not only did she share a video and picture form her courtside seat, the 41-year-old also shared a pregame picture from the hardwood with her 7-year-old son, Theo.

In the snap, the tot donned a shirt showing his support for Heat star Tyler Herro. His mom dressed stylishly in a black sleeveless top and white wide-leg pants.

Ivanka Trump /Instagram

They were both seemingly thrilled with the result of Game 4, which saw the Heat win 119-114.

The snaps came nearly a month after the former POTUS was arrested in connection with an alleged hush money payments scheme involving adult film star Stormy Daniels that allegedly went down before the 2016 presidential election. The court hearing on April 4 followed Trump's criminal indictment — an indictment that came nearly two weeks after the former POTUS said he would be arrested. Trump called the indictment "an attack on our country."

While Ivanka didn't publicly comment on the arrest, she did release a statement after the indictment.

"I love my father and I love my country. Today I am pained for both," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern."

Prior to the basketball game images, Ivanka's most recent post was a birthday tribute to Theo.

"You bring so much joy and love into our lives every day with your kind, positive, and energetic spirit. I love you to the moon and back again!," she wrote alongside an image of Theo with a skateboard-shaped birthday cake. "May this year bring you laughter, love, adventure and many more trips to the skate park."

John Stamos drops unexpected 'Full House' confession about Olsen twins

John Stamos wanted nothing to do with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the early "Full House" days, and he in fact got them fired after the pilot was filmed.

The actor dropped the bombshell while on Josh Peck's "Good Guys" podcast, saying he "couldn't deal" with the twins, who were 11 months old at the time of the pilot.

Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock

John recalled him and Dave Coulier filming a scene with the girls, both of whom were "screaming."

"They wanted to be anywhere else but there, and so did I," he said, adding that the crew kept unsuccessfully swapping out the twins. "I just couldn't deal with it. I said, 'This is not going to work. Get rid of them. I can't work like this.'"

John said it was "obvious" to everyone that Mary-Kate and Ashley were making the workplace difficult. However, everyone quickly found out that the grass wasn't always greener on the other side after a different set of twins were hired.

"We tried the other kids and it didn't work," he recalled. "I said, 'Bring the Olsens back. These kids are terrible.'"

All and all, the Olsen twins were only away "fired" for a few days.

Disney General Entertainment Con

After John was asked if the girls, now 36, know that he once got them canned from the show that made them child stars, he replied, "They do now." Then, referring to the twin's reported $500 million net worth, John joked, "Now they own this building we're talking in."

Things worked out rather well for the Olsen twins, as they starred in the hit sitcom for eight seasons.

After botched procedure, Sharon Osbourne admits she 'pushed it' too far going under the knife

After multiple cosmetic procedures, Sharon Osbourne is cutting plastic surgery out of her life.

The former daytime talk show host's entire outlook on going under the knife changed two years ago after a facelift, which didn't go according to plan.

"That one put me off and it frightens me," she said, according to The Sun. "I really f****** pushed it with the last facelift and I am now like, no more. Time is against me, I cannot have another facelift."

Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock

The facelift, she joked, was so botched that "one eye was different to the other. I looked like a… Cyclops."

Not only is Sharon stepping away from surgery, she's always been limiting her time in the limelight as she cares for husband Ozzy Osbourne, who suffers from Parkinson's disease.

"This is the longest time Ozzy has ever been at home. He is driving me crazy, every f****** day," she said. "Ozzy said to me during Covid, 'Do you think we are spending too much time together?' I'm like, 'Yeah, but where the f*** do I go? I can't go to a hotel, what do you want me to do? Where do you want me to go?'"

S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock

While Sharon is clearly irritated at times with her husband, Ozzy has his own frustrations, too.

"The biggest love affair of Ozzy's life is his audience and performing. He misses the live audience, he misses his fans terribly," Sharon said. "He feels he's let them down. Performing is what he is born to do."

Due to his health, the Black Sabbath rocker had to cancel his tour commitments earlier this year.

"Ozzy says to me that he can't do anything as good as performing. I get heart-broken when I hear him say that and knowing he cannot go out and do what he is meant to do," Sharon said, "but he will get there."

Paris Hilton shares surprising feelings about influencer culture

You could argue that Paris Hilton was an "influencer" before anyone knew what the term actually meant. She was the original "famous for being famous" type of person. But, times has changed and she now feels that being "Internet famous" isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

"It depends if you can actually turn that into a brand and a business that's sustainable. I think there's some good and the bad that comes with it," she told BBC Radio 2. "Obviously there is so much toxicity and I can't even imagine being 13 years old and dealing with these unrealistic standards of beauty, the filters, people coming on the trolls and the comments that's a lot, you have to have a really tough skin."

"But I think if you have a talent, a phone and Wi-Fi you can build a brand or something," she adds, "so I think it's exciting if you can use it in the correct way."

While it's no secret that Paris came from money, she's also created her a massive multimillion dollar brand over the years via TV shows, perfumes, songs and a DJ career. The new mom is also looking to release another album, the follow up to 2006's "Paris," which spawned the hit "Stars Are Blind."

"I am in the studio writing and producing, recording, gearing up for a summer tour for Pride a summer of 'sliving.' It's been so much fun I have so many incredible songs," she said, adding that she's teamed up with many famous friends for her music. "They've been writing amazing songs and sending them over, I'm so excited, especially songs by Meghan Trainer, Miley (Cyrus) and Sia, all my girls! We're all just on group text and especially ever since I performed Stars Are Blind with Miley and Sia at new year we've just been talking loads about it. It's just been so inspiring just being around such amazing talented women."
