Khloe Kardashian claps back after she's criticized for holding daughter on red carpet

Hold on, Khloe Kardashian has something to say.

The reality TV star clapped back at online trolls on Friday, April 8, after she was criticized for temporarily holding her 3-year-old daughter, True, on the red carpet of the premiere of "The Kardashian's."

Action Press/Shutterstock

The ever-judgmental Twitter mob felt that True was too old to be carried. Khloe, though, wasn't having it.

"For the people who comment that I hold True too much… I'm gonna hold my baby until I can't hold her anymore," she tweeted.

Referring to the media frenzy on the red carpet, Khloe noted she wanted to to protect her mini-me.

"When there's tons of cameras around, flashing lights, peps yelling things…I want my baby to feel safe," she said.

While True is seen being carried in some photos from the evening, others show her standing on the ground beside her mom and other family members.

In her final sign off, Khloe told her critics to concern themselves with their own issues and stop keyboard parenting from afar.

"Worry about your own children," she said. "We good over here."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy's wife, Peta Murgatroyd, sent a 'goodbye text' as he was stuck in Ukraine after invasion

With Maksim Chmerkovskiy stuck in Ukraine as Russian forces began bombing, Peta Murgatroyd wondered if she'd ever see her husband again. Desperate to pour her heart out, she sent him a message, all while knowing that it might be the last one he ever saw.

"I literally wrote him a text, almost a goodbye text like if something happens," she told "Entertainment Tonight" on Thursday, April 7.

Maks Chmerkovskiy/Instagram

While Peta was in Los Angeles, Maksim had been in Kyiv judging the "World of Dance Ukraine" competition. On Feb. 24, Russia began launching rockets. After a few days in the Ukrainian capital, Maksim escaped to Poland via train.

"To get the phone call and to see him frantically packing his bags trying to get out of the hotel was just like, I had a heart attack nearly. I had to sit myself down and calm down for him," Peta said. "And then the next eight days [that Chmerkovskiy was there] were life-changing. Absolutely life-changing."

Maksim documented much of his ordeal on Instagram, giving followers a real-time depiction of what was happening in Kyiv.

The former "Dancing With The Stars" pro eventually made it to Los Angeles, but he soon returned to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees.

"I was lucky that Peta was with me on this. I made that commitment. We are working with Barnova 27, my organization. We're pushing out. We're working on other ways of getting other things into the country and what's needed," he told "ET." "We're working on developing livable towns, makeshift towns that can maybe serve as something else, [trying] to attract technology, 3D printing and so on."

"This is what I'm dedicating myself [to], but I think it's very important to also make sure people don't forget about it," he continued. "I realized when I got home that this is so far away and it's hard to retell the story over and over. So, I'm just using this opportunity to also say, like, 'It's going on right now.' People are just now starting to need even more help, and we should stay with it."

Chrishell Stause reveals what she did with her wedding ring from Justin Hartley

Chrishell Stause, homeowner. That has a nice ring to it!

The "Selling Sunset" star revealed this week that she sold her old wedding ring, given to her by ex-husband Justin Hartley, and used the funds to buy a $3.3 million home in California's Hollywood Hills.

David Buchan/Shutterstock

"When sometimes life gives you lemons, sometimes you've gotta add a little vodka," Chrishell told Kelly Clarkson on the singer's eponymous TV show. "I was trying to, you know, make the best out of a situation."

Chrishell was married to the "This Is Us" star from from 2017 to 2021. She claimed the split was callous, allegeding the ink on Justin's divorce papers wasn't even dry when media outlets began reporting the news.

"I found out because he texted me that we were filed [for divorce]," she said on a 2020 episode of  "Selling Sunset," confirming earlier reports that she was "blindsided" by the sudden divorce

While chatting with Kelly about the decision to sell off the ring, the "Since You've Been Gone" singer approved.

"I mean, what are you supposed to do, keep wearing it? I think that's amazing," Kelly said. "You did something good with the money."

Soon after their Justin and Chrishell's divorce was final, the former soap actor secretly married Sofia Pernas. Chrishell, for her part, was has been briefly linked to fellow "Dancing With the Stars" alum Keo Motsepe and her "Selling Sunset" boss Jason Oppenheim. She's now single.

In addition to her wedding band banter, Chrishell also spoke about her new book, "Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work." Much of the memoir is devoted to her past relationships.

"I do think that this was just a cathartic situation because so much is said out there, on social media and in the news, and sometimes there's not a lot of context," she explained. "I am healed; there's no anger there. So it's nice to kind of give context and tell a story that I know a lot of people have related to."

Vanessa Hudgens has the ability to interact with ghosts: 'The unknown is scary'

That's the spirit, Vanessa Hudgens!

In a new chat with Kelly Clarkson, the "High School Musical" star said she can speak to "ghosts."

"I've accepted the fact that I see things and I hear things," she said. "The unknown is scary. But I recently was like, 'No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I'm going to lean into it.'"

David Fisher/Shutterstock

Vanessa, 33, notes she's had "a lot" of experiences with paranormal activity.

"I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there was, like, you know those ducks that you pull [the string]? It's a toy. There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started going alongside me," she shared.

Since then, the actress has dug deeper into her ability, revealing she did her "first real paranormal investigation" and discovered she likes the "spirit box," which analyzes "radio frequencies really quickly."

"Something about the electricity that it creates allows spirits to speak through it," she said of the equipment.

Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

Over a decade ago, Vanessa told People magazine that she experienced a ghostly situation while filming "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" in North Carolina.

"North Wilmington is one of the oldest, most haunted places in North America," she said in 2011. "I was chasing around my ghost for, like, 10 minutes solid, and then it got way too freaky, and I just left."

She added, "I feel like [the ghost] might have lost a husband at war and she's waiting for her man to come back to her. It was definitely a female spirit. I could tell."

Avril Lavigne, Mod Sun confirm engagement with picturesque Instagram posts

Avril Lavigne has found her happy ending.

Two days after the "Complicated" singer was photographed wearing a diamond ring on that ever-so-telling finger, she and her beau, Mod Sun, confirmed that they are engaged.

Jim Ruymen/UPI/Shutterstock

On April 7, Mod shared images of him popping the question on a boat in Paris.

"The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done. I had a dream where I proposed in paris. I pulled out a ring + asked you to wear it," he captioned a series of engagement snaps. "I was on one knee as I looked in your eyes. You're too beautiful for my words to describe. I grabbed your hand + took one last breath… I said "will you marry me?" + she said "yes". I love you Avril."

Avril shared the moment to her Instagram, as well, writing in French, "Oui! Je t'aime pour toujours," which translates to, "I love you forever."

The picturesque engagement, which happened with the Eiffel Tower in the background, occurred on March 27.

While Avril, 37, wasn't wearing the ring while attending the Grammys last weekend, but she didn't hide it while running errands around Los Angeles on April 5.

The engagement sets Avril's third marriage in motion, as she was previously hitched to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010, and Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger from 2013–2015.

Back in January 2021, Avril began dating Mod Sun. Things appeared to get serious rather quickly, as he even got her name tattooed on his neck after less than a month of dating. Further, at the Grammys, the "Sk8er Boi" singer said told E! News "fell in love" after finishing her ironically-titled "Love Sux" album.

In a chat with Kelly Clarkson last month, she added, "I went into the studio and literally was like, 'Here is where I am at. I am over love. I'm jaded on love right now.' So I wrote that song 'Love Sux' and that set the tone for this album. And then a couple of days later, I had a boyfriend. I'm literally never single."

Mod, for his part, hasn't been shying away from his feelings either.

'Hunger Games' actress helps rescue dog from abuser

Jena Malone helped save a small dog who was being abused on the side of a Los Angeles street this week.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

The "Hunger Games" actress told NBC LA that she was driving on Sunset Blvd. when she saw a man repeatedly beating a dog. She then pulled over and chased him down and others joined. Once some the group caught up with the man, they beat up the man while waiting for police.

News video showed Jena and others holding the dog — named Champion — after the incident was over. The "Goliath" star said Champ was taken to an animal hospital and treated for a fractured rib, broken bones in his hind legs and a fracture in the right paw.

The man, who was arrested for animal cruelty, was actually not the dog's owner. The pooch had been missing for a week, and has since been reunited with its family.

Jena tweeted about the incident afterward.

"This was really scary. I saw a man kicking repeatedly a small dog on the sunset, yanking him up in the air and absolutely choking the dog. I yelled at him to stop from my car but he wouldn't. I got out of my car to try and get the dog but he started running," she wrote. "So I started chasing him. I saw other people watching on the street upset, as they must have seen the same abhorrent behavior I witnessed, so I tried to signal a man in an orange vest to run with me to chase him. Cause at that point I really didn't think I was going to be able to get the dog back by myself. After another block of chasing him down I looked back and there were 5 other men behind me pursuing him. Which felt like a miracle."

She continued, "So at this point I held back and let them take the lead as I have no business trying to restrain a full grown man.  I went back to get my car (it was still running ) and drove to see if they caught him. 6 blocks down from where the chase began a big group had gathered and it look like the man no longer had the dog. So I pulled over to make sure that dog was going to be cared for. I didn't see the brawl but I was told that the man did not give up the dog without a fight."

After police arrested the man, Jena said, "I waited with dog til another cop came to take them to the hospital. The dog was covered in filth and looked like it had been not taken care of for months."

Todd Williamson/JanuaryImages/Shutterstock

Although she wasn't a part of the fight, she's sorry that the incident "ended in a brawl." Still, she insists that the dog would have died had she and the others not intervened.

On April 6, Jena found out the dog was chipped and back with his owner.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help take care of Champ's medical bills.

Mira Sorvino details her UFO encounter

Mira Sorvino has had an out-of-this-world experience.

The "Shining Vale" star recalled seeing an alien spacecraft — at least she believed it to be that — while in Malibu one night.

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

"I have seen a UFO, for real. There is nothing else to explain it. I woke up in the middle of the night. We were in a rented house in the Malibu Hills after our home was affected by the [2018] Woolsey Fire," she said while on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" on Wednesday.

The actress recalled waking up and deciding to look at the moon through the window of the home.

"All of a sudden, this ball that looked the color of a halogen light, a pinkish light, this huge ball zoomed over the ocean. (It) hung over the ocean for about two minutes. And I just stared at it," she said. "All of a sudden, just as fast as it arrived, it just disappeared. There's nothing we have on earth, that I'm aware of, that our technology can do, that could do that for except for a UFO. It was crazy."

Other Malibu residents reported seeing something similar at the time.

"It was weird. It hung there as I was looking at them. It was like, 'Are you looking at me?'" Mira said, adding, "I believe."

Mira's sighting came just before the United States government released a 2021 report on UFOs that didn't confirm or debunk the existence of alien life.

Paula Patton reacts after fried chicken recipe goes viral for all the wrong reasons

Paula Patton doesn't give a cluck what you think about her now-infamous (and ridiculed) chicken recipe.

Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock

One month ago, the actress posted an Instagram video of her making fried chicken — the recipe, she said, was passed down by her mother, Joyce Patton. For 30 days the social media video was a non-issue, but Paula's chicken-frying abilities suddenly went viral this week due to a bombardment of critical comments on Instagram and TikTok.

The debate began on April 4 when a TikTok user edited a video of Paula's cookery, saying the "Precious" star just "ruined" her day.

"Where are your seasonings, Paula," the TikToker said, who was later dumbfounded that the actress didn't add seasoning to the chicken, but rather the grease that the chicken cooked in.

The poultry police also took umbrage with Paula's method of washing the chicken.

On April 5, Paula responded to the chicken cooking connoisseurs, saying, "It's all good because everybody's got their own way of making things."

"And I'll take suggestions, I'll make a new kind of fried chicken, but I'm gonna always make my mom's chicken the way she did it," she continued. "We put the seasoning in the oil and all that. It's just the way we do it."

The mother-of-one captioned the new video, "Peace, love and fried chicken." Paula did, however, disable the ability to comment, which was smart, as the ever-vocal chicken eating community would have probably roasted her, which was happening for days.

In fact, the aforementioned critical video has been viewed more than 6 million times and has over 27,000 retweets within just two days.

You know what we say: Love, peace and chicken grease.

Kourtney Kardashian shares pics from faux Vegas wedding: 'Practice makes perfect'

Kourtney Kardashian says "a little tequila" was consumed before she and Travis Barker headed to a Las Vegas wedding chapel early Sunday morning.

On April 5, the reality TV made headlines amid reports that she and her Blink-182 fiancé got hitched a few hours after his performance at the Grammys, even getting an Elvis impersonator to officiate. However, it turns out the couple never legally got married, as they had not applied for a formal wedding license.

Sources later said the couple did the faux wedding for fun.

On April 6, Kourtney even took to Instagram to share snaps from their "ceremony" at One Love Wedding Chapel.

"Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2am, after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license)," she captioned a series of shots showing the couple in matching sunglasses and leather jackets.

Referencing a future (and real) wedding, she added, "Practice makes perfect."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

After posting the 10 snaps, Kim Kardashian posted chapel emojis in the comments section. Travis, meanwhile, commented with a husband and wife emoji. He also posted a few images from the fake Vegas wedding on his Instagram Story.

According to TMZ, the couple didn't allow the venue to take any photos, instead bringing their own photographer and security.

Oasis singer (once again) rips Harry Styles, calls his music 'worthless'

Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher still has disdain for Harry Styles

In a chat with the Daily Star, the notorious curmudgeon blasted the former One Direction singer, believing he's not a "real musician." Noel's biggest issue with Harry seems to stem from the fact that that "Watermelon Sugar" singer got his start on "The X-Factor."

Shutterstock

"'The X Factor' is a TV show. It's got nothing to do with music, it's got nothing to do with music whatsoever, and anything that has come from that, that's got nothing to do with music," he said.

Clearly Noel despises the TV show, but Harry and his "worthless" music really get under his skin.

"You're not telling me Harry Styles is currently in a room somewhere writing a song. With any joy, he'll be surrounded by a lot of girls," Noel said. "I can assure you he's not got an acoustic guitar out trying to write a middle eight for something."

Jordan Strauss/AP/Shutterstock

This is far from the first time the "Wonderwall" singer has taken issue with Harry. Back in 2017 he told Absolute Radio that he disagreed with fellow artists collaborating with Olivia Wilde's beau.

"People of my age have let themselves go, they're fat, balding idiots with fading tattoos. They sit in their garage and write s*** like 'Sign of the Times' for Harry Styles. Which, quite frankly, my cat could have written in about 10 minutes," he said.

The Harry hate doesn't run in the family, as Noel admitted that his wife, Sara MacDonald, likes the One Directioner's music.

"I don't mind the song, my wife was falling over herself, 'Have you heard Harry Styles' new song? It's like Prince.' I was like, 'Without even hearing it, I can assure you it's not like Prince,' " he said.

Similarly, Noel's brother also said he's a bit of a Harry fan.

"I don't mind it, man. There's some interesting bits in it," Liam Gallagher, who's had a long-running feud with Noel, once told NME. "Fair play to him. I'm sure, like, it's a bigger f****** cost. I've got the weight of Oasis still hanging over me and I'm sure I'll always be that guy from Oasis, so I'm sure he's carrying an equal weight. If he wants to get out of that pop world and into something with a bit more substance, I think that's a good thing."

Aloha! Padma Lakshmi, 51, shows off insanely fit bikini body during Hawaiian vacation

The plates of food on "Top Chef" aren't the only things sizzling!

Padma Lakshmi showed off her insanely fit bikini body on Instagram on Monday while sharing a video from a Hawaiian vacation with her 12-year-old daughter, Krishna. The video, set to Imua's "Menehune Beach Bum Boogie," showed the model and her mini me, who Padma often refers to as "Littlehands," splashing around in the water and playing on a rope swing, a la Tarzan.

"Boogie woogie," she captioned the video. "We found this wonderful secluded beach on our way north to Hanalei."

She added, "Littlehands and I had so much fun playing with the rope swing and watching the 'iwa birds (or frigatebirds) gliding and diving in the air."

The video opened with Padma, 51, flaunting her physique while standing at the end of the beach. She then smiled for the camera while exiting the water in a black bikini.

A slew of Padma's Instagram followers saw the video as a heartwarming video of a mother and daughter. Others simply couldn't take their eyes off of Padma.

"Lord have mercy. Padma," one person wrote alongside three fire emojis. Another said, "We are not worthy of so much beauty!!!"

Padma has documented much of her jealous-inducing vacation on Instagram, first sharing from a helicopter tour of Kauai.

She later shared images from lunch and from a monastery. But, to little surprise, it was a video of Padma in a pink bikini that caught fire online.

"New perfume? No, just chlorine and the Hawai'i breeze," she captioned the video of her hanging out in and around the hotel pool. Thus far, the video has been liked over 72,000 times. Even actress Ali Wong was smitten with Padma's frame, writing, "Hubba hubba Padmaaaaaa!!!!!"

Mark Wahlberg explains the gross way he gained 30 pounds for new role: 'It was not fun'

While transforming into real-life boxer-turned-priest Father Stuart Long, all Mark Wahlberg had to do was eat… and eat… and eat for a month and a half. It was "not a lot of fun."

"I had six weeks to put on about 30 pounds. I started with 7,000 calories for the first two weeks and then 11,000 calories for the final four weeks," The "Father Stu" star told Entertainment Tonight.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

"None of it was fun, except for the first meal was amazing, because I hadn't eaten anything up until that point. But after that, when you're already full and you have to eat again, and at my age it's just not a healthy thing to do, to try to put on that kind of weight in that amount of time," he added.

Not only was Mark putting on weight via food, he also began drinking olive oil by the glass every day.

"I wasn't eating anything that you would think, 'Oh my God, I get to sit on the couch and eat ice cream and pizzas,'" he explained. "… I tried to do it in a healthy way. It was a dozen eggs and a dozen pieces of bacon, two baked potatoes, a Porterhouse steak, two bowls of white rice, and a glass of olive oil. The first two weeks were high proteins. The second two weeks were a lot of carbs. The last two weeks starches, and then sodium, just to kind of get as bloated as possible. So not a lot of fun."

Still, Mark continued his infamous morning gym sessions while preparing for "Father Stu."

"I had to get up the appetite, so I would go in there and try to lift as heavy as possible just to get hungry," he said. "And then I'd have the weight gainer shakes as well and all that stuff. But none of it was fun. There's nothing worse than when you're full from the last meal and you have to eat again."

In the end, Mark said it was worth it, as he's thrilled with the outcome of the movie. Plus, he sees similarities between him and the real Father Long.

"We both had very difficult childhood upbringing, both kind of searching for our calling, and, I think, both kind of getting to a place where we wanted to do more good and serve God, and certainly appreciating all the blessings that have been bestowed upon me," Wahlberg said. "… Now having me continue to echo his message and take that responsibility on myself after the film is over to continue to do more substantial work, and continue to bring people together and promote a message of hope and faith."

Fans gushing over Mayim Bialik's 'subtle' Jeopardy makeover

No question about it, people are loving Mayim Bialik's new look on "Jeopardy!"

When the "Big Bang Theory" alum returned to her hosting gig last week, she debuted a new hairstyle — gone are the brunette curls that she traditionally wears, as they've been replaced with straight strands.

Fans were quick to notice the hair transformation, and they took to social media to sound off with glee.

"Mayim, you look fabulous! Love your hair like this. Cute hair!!!," one commented on the "Jeopardy!" Instagram. Another added, "Whoever is styling Mayim, bravo!! You should get a raise. The differences are subtle, but perfect!"

An Instagram user wrote, "Love you new look.. Very professional very clean very fabulous very worthy of you!"

Other fans believed Mayim's style was slightly upgraded, too. "She looked stunning in the orange/brown combo. The belts are very flattering," one user said following an episode last week. Another called the outfit "outstanding."

Along with Ken Jennings, the actress took over the "Jeopardy!" hosting gig last year. Still, neither is the "permanent" host as now, but the "Call Me Kat" star would love to make it official. She even has the blessing  of the family of the late Alex Trebek, who famously guided the show effortlessly for decades.

"I got to meet them when we dedicated the stage and just feel so humbled around them," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I want to only honor. You can't match him, so there's no need to try, but do it continuously, and have their blessing and feel what they are doing is supporting that legacy."
