Amy Grant details extent of memory loss following recent bike accident

Amy Grant is still trying to collect her thoughts.

Last summer, the six-time Grammy winner was injured after crashing on her bicycle in Nashville. Since then, she's had memory issues and even needs help remembering her song lyrics.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

"My memory is still coming back, and the stamina, they say 12-18 months after an injury like that," she told E! News in a story published on Jan. 17. "Six months in, so I feel really good! I anticipate just getting better."

Back in August, the "Baby Baby" singer was thrown from her bike after hitting a pothole. She was briefly hospitalized with a concussion. Although the accident kept her sidelined for months, Amy returned to the stage in November. Still, she needed the help of a teleprompter to recall lyrics of her songs.

As she continues to heal, the gospel singer isn't shying away from her memory lapses.

"Honestly, I can't remember what I don't remember," she said. "So, I was at dinner the other night with a high school friend. We used to spend the night at each other's houses. I said, 'I'm embarrassed to ask you, are you and your husband still together?' She said that Douglas died seven years ago, and it was like I had just heard it for the first time!"

An eternal optimist, Amy is also finding the good in her memory shortages.

"The brain is all about reconnecting all those things," she said. "But it's also been a bit of a blessing. Like, I saw someone at the airport, and they said, 'Hey, it's good to see you!' I said, 'Call me crazy. You're going to have to tell me your name!' It was someone I knew. Everyone would like this excuse! Everyone should do this. It makes life easier to just say the truth of what is."

Grammy winner Skrillex shocks fans with new look that has some comparing him to a 'Game of Thrones' character

New year, new me.

Eight-time Grammy winner Skrillex's signature look is no more. When the music producer burst onto the scene in his early '20s, he was known for his thick glasses and long hair, which was always combed to one side.

Jim Smeal/REX/Shutterstock

Skrillex, 35, is debuting a new look, and it has fans shocked (and impressed.) The Justin Bieber collaborator has now ditched the glasses, cut his hair and grew a manicured beard.

The new looks has Twitter doing a double take, and many social media users are comparing him to Jon Snow, Kit Harington's titular character on "Game of Thrones."

"Skrillex really did a 180…," one comment said.

Another said, "Wow! He looks hot af with short hair." Another added, "It's 2023 and now Skrillex is… Hot? What is happening."

Not only does Skrillex's have a new look, he also has a different outlook on life.

"Had the toughest year of my life in 22, as did so many others. I literally found myself with no drive and purpose for the first time in my life," he tweeted over the weekend, noting that his mother's death had a profound impact on him.  "I drank the pain away and kept going."

Once a prominent figure in the dance music and pop music scene, Skrillex retreated from the limelight for several years, which he addressed this week.

"People  ask why 'I've been gone' or 'fell off', rightfully so. Like I said , 22 was sort of my tipping point, I had to put everything on ice especially my projects/ career," he tweeted, acknowledging that he canceled festival appearances because he was working on himself.

"For the first time in 4-5 years I've found a new sense of peace. It took so much work and sacrifice to get here," he said. "Lastly, the support you've all shown over the years does mean the world and I'll continue to work on myself and not get into a situation where I have to cancel shows / go into hiding."

Kim Kardashian buys iconic Princess Diana necklace for nearly $200,000

Kim Kardashian is one step closer to royalty.

The reality TV star spent $197,453 on a cross necklace once worn by Princess Diana, TMZ reported on Jan. 18.

Back in 1987, Diana borrowed the 1920s pendant — which is crafted from diamonds and amethysts and hangs from a pearl rope — to wear to a charity event in London. According to The Guardian, the cross crafted by luxury jewelry company Garrard was a private commission first purchased by businessman Naim Attallah in the '80s. Because he and the royal were friends, he reportedly lent it to her to wear on several occasions.

Three decades after the Princess of Wales donned the necklace, the jewelry made its way to Sotheby's. Following her nearly $200,000 purchase, it's now headed to Kim.

The fact that Kim scooped up the iconic jewelry isn't surprising. Over the years, she's purchased pieces previously worn by icons like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor. Of course, she also wore one of Marilyn Monroe's most iconic dresses to the Met Gala last year.

The girl's got expensive taste!

Former '19 Kids and Counting' star Jinger Duggar Vuolo describes her family as 'cult-like,' explains why she's moved away from her parents' beliefs

"Harmful" and "cult-like." That's how Jinger Duggar Vuolo now describes her family's strict religious teachings.

Having grown up in the Duggar family, which came to fame on TLC's "19 Kids & Counting" and "Counting On," Jinger was raised as an Independent Fundamentalist Baptist, a very rigid form of Christianity based on the teachings of Bill Gothard. In 2017, though, she began questioning the "unhealthy ideology" and transitioned away from her parents' teachings. She's now happier than ever.

@jingervuolo/Instagram

"Fear was a huge part of my childhood," Jinger, 29, told People magazine in a story published on Jan. 18. "I thought I had to wear only skirts and dresses to please God. Music with drums, places I went or the wrong friendships could all bring harm."

While promoting her upcoming book, "Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling Faith from Fear" — which will be released on Jan. 31 — Jinger said, "There are a lot of cult-like tendencies" within her family and in the IFB religion.

"His teachings were so harmful, and I'm seeing more of the effects of that in the lives of my friends and people who grew up in that community with me," she said.

In IFB, women are thought to be inferior to men and are encouraged to be subservient to them. Alcohol, dancing and makeup are prohibited, as are high heels and anything shorter than ankle-length dresses.

"[Gothard's] teachings in a nutshell are based on fear and superstition and leave you in a place where you feel like, 'I don't know what God expects of me,'" Jinger said. "The fear kept me crippled with anxiety. I was terrified of the outside world."

Jinger, who married pastor Jeremy Vuolo in 2016, maintains that she's still Christian but has different beliefs than her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

"That's the beauty of this journey," she says. "The teaching I grew up under was harmful, it was damaging, and there are lasting effects. But I know other people are struggling and people who are still stuck. I want to share my story, and maybe it will help even just one person to be freed."

Witch dolls, loud music on repeat and walls: Shakira's split with ex reaching 'petty' level

Shakira is making sure her former mother-in-law can't stop by her house whenever, wherever.

The singer's home in Barcelona is adjacent to the home owned by Gerard Pique's mother, and some areas of the two properties are even connected. According to Spanish outlet Marca, Shakira began building a wall to separate the two.

James Veysey/Shutterstock

TV cameras reportedly spotted a cement mixer working around Shakira's house — this after she also took steps to make her ex mother-in-law's life miserable.

News of the wall build comes just days after the "Hips Don't Lie" songstress put a lifesize witch doll on her balcony to look over the home of Montserrat Bernabéu, Gerard's mother. Reports claim Shakira has bad blood with Montserrat because she was so quick to embrace her son's new romance with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti.

Last week, Shakira released a diss track aimed at Clara and her ex, whom she shares two sons with. In the lyrics, she sang, "You're acting so weird I don't even recognize you / I'm worth two 22-year-olds / You traded in a Ferrari for a Twingo / You traded in a Rolex for a Casio." She went on to insult Gerard's intelligence. "I was out of your league that's why you've settled for someone just like you," she ended.

Social media videos show that Shakira has been blasting the song on repeat from her home so that neighbors, including Gerard's mother, can hear it.

"Something really bad must've happened besides the infidelity, Shakira being super direct toward them, the witch, and listening to the song on full volume. I wonder what did they do to her poor queen," one person said.

Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock

Twitter, by and large, acknowledges that Shakira is being petty, but social media users are living for it.

Shakira, one person wrote, is "the petty standard we should all aspire to in 2023."

Another said, "I feel bad for anyone who doesn't understand spanish and doesn't understand the level of petty shakira reached with this song. Iconique."

Jennifer Lopez confirms she was meant to be part of iconic VMA moment

One of the most iconic moments in VMA history should have played out a little differently.

In a chat with E! News to promote "Shotgun Wedding," Jennifer Lopez confirmed a long-standing rumor that she was supposed to be a major player in the steamy 2003 VMAs performance wherein Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera smooched Madonna.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

"I was filming a movie in Canada and I met with Madonna and Britney," she said. "And I couldn't get off the film, so they got Christina to do it. I'm a huge fan of Madonna, I always have been."

The smooches has lived in pop culture infamy for two decades, but Britney's kiss with Madonna has garnered much more attention, partly because of editing.

Julie Jacobson/AP/Shutterstock

The performance began with Britney emerging out of a wedding cake in a white dress singing "Like A Virgin," just as Madonna did in her 1984 VMAs performance. Christina then joined, as did Madonna. With the three women on stage, Madge leaned over to kiss Britney. She then leaned over to kiss Christina. However, Christina's kiss was hardly shown.

"It was weird. And you know why they cut away for it? Because they cut away to get Justin [Timberlake's] reaction," the "Fighter" singer once said, noting that Britney and the NSYNC singer were no longer dating, having ended their romance a year prior after three years together.

Britney and Madonna recreated the kiss at the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" songstress' wedding reception last year

Kyle Richards denies using weight loss drug after amid slimmer figure

Kyle Richards' slimmer figure isn't propelled by pills.

The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star has been showing off a smaller figure, but she flatly denies that diabetes-turned-weight-loss drug Ozempic is the reason for the slim down.

"I have never tried ozempic and this is not from plastic surgery," she commented on Page Six's Instagram account after a critic claimed otherwise. Kyle then acknowledged her breast reduction surgery, telling the hater that she's been open about it ever since Andy Cohen accidentally outed the news

"I'm honest about what I do. But if giving plastic surgery the credit makes you feel better then pop off sister," Kyle lashed.

Afterward, another critic suspected that she took the drug.

"I am NOT taking Ozempic. Never have," she plainly stated.

Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Of late, laptop critics have accused other celebrities of taking Ozempic for a weight loss shortcut. After someone alleged that Khloe Kardashian took it, she shot back,  "Let's not discredit my years of working out. I get up 5 days a week at 6am to train."

"Please stop with your assumptions," she continued. "I guess new year still means mean people."

T.J. Holmes, Amy Robach lawyering up for possible ABC lawsuit

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are ready for a potential fight with ABC in the event that they lose their jobs over their relationship.

According to TMZ, the couple has obtained high-powered lawyers to represent them if things get litigious.

Photo Image Press/Shutterstock

Amy and T.J. were taken off the air in December after their romance became front-page news.  Sources told TMZ that they have not been officially told why they were yanked from "GMA3," particularly given that they were initially told no disciplinary action would be taken. Shortly after, though, ABC launched an internal investigation into the consensual romance.

The new report said race could become a factor if T.J. and Amy are fired or left off the air. One question that will be asked, the website said, is: "Has ABC ever used the morals or conduct clause to fire or discipline 2 consenting adults at equal levels when both were white?"

MediaPunch/Shutterstock

Should ABC discipline T.J. and Amy, it could have huge repercussions on in their reputations and financial future.

There is question as to whether the couple alerted ABC of the romance in a timely enough manner, but that seems to be a subjective argument — what's timely for one person, might not be timely for another.

"Are you supposed to inform your boss when you catch feelings?," one source asked.

Page Six said the two are "likely out" at "GMA3," but Amy could still salvage her future with the network.

"They have not been terminated yet, but I don't expect T.J. to be on again," a source the New York Post's gossip section. "They do want Amy to stay and be a part of things there, but likely not on 'GMA3.'"

Lisa Marie Presley 'coded multiple times' in hospital before death: Report

Lisa Marie Presley reportedly "coded multiple times" in the hospital after going into cardiac arrest on Thursday.

The lone daughter of Elvis Presley was in critical condition upon arriving at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in West Hills, Calif., While there, her heart stopped several more times before being pronounced dead, Page Six reported on Friday, Jan. 13.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

TMZ previously claimed that a housekeeper found Lisa's body unresponsive at her Calabasas, Calif., residence. Her first ex-husband Danny Keough — who'd been living with Lisa for some time — performed CPR until medics arrived. The report added that EMTs administered epinephrine and were able to find a pulse before she was transported to the hospital, where she was then put on life support.

No drugs appeared at the scene of the singer-songwriter's cardiac arrest, Page Six said.

The death came hours after Lisa, 54, had apparently been complaining of stomach pains and just two days after she attending the Golden Globe awards with her mom, Priscilla. Lisa appeared unsteady on her feet on the red carpet and held onto her manager's arm during one viral interview.

On Thursday, Priscilla announced her daughter's death.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla said in a statement. "She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."

Lisa Marie was mom to daughter Riley Keough, 33, son Benjamin Keough, who died in July 2020 at age 27, and twin girls Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14.
