TV star recalls personal lows after divorce coincided with rising fame, more news

'Weird' new normal

The last year of Jeremy Allen White's life has "been insane," the actor told British GQ in a September 2023 cover story interview. "A lot of high highs, a lot of terribly low lows," he added. Jeremy's acclaimed Hulu show "The Bear" was recently OK'd for a third season and his new movie, "The Iron Claw," hits theaters Dec. 22. But as his career in Hollywood has started to explode, Jeremy's suddenly been forced navigate the public's newfound interest in his personal life — including his split from Addison Timlin, who filed for divorce in May after nearly four years of marriage.

"It's such a weird aspect of this thing that I truly never thought I would ever deal with whatsoever," Jeremy admits. "It's not fun, and it's not nice, and it's really weird." He and Addison share two young daughters, who've been photographed by paparazzi in recent months despite their dad's pleas for privacy. The surge in curiosity about Jeremy's offscreen interests also sparked a slew of rumors and tabloid headlines after he wrote "wow" on a photographer's Instagram post that featured model Alexa Demie clad in lingerie for a campaign. As he told GQ, the "wow" was simply intended as a compliment to the photographers. He reached out to his publicist about the gossipy response, he recalled, and told her, "'I just need to shut the f*** up." She agreed.

"When we last met, I think that was the beginning of what's been going on in my personal life," Jeremy told GQ's interviewer. "So that's when I was rocked the hardest and it's taken me a year to find some footing again, I guess."

Pregnancy loss

In her new book of original poetry, "Pretty Boys Are Poisonous," out Nov. 7, Megan Fox writes about having endured a miscarriage at 10 weeks into a pregnancy. The "Transformers" star shares three sons with ex, Brian Austin Green. But the pregnancy she and fiance Machine Gun Kelly lost would have been the couple's first child together.

"I've never been through anything like that in my life," Megan said in a Nov. 7 segment on "Good Morning America." "I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately … trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?'" she explained.

"I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh … but now / I have to say / goodbye," she writes, in part, about the pregnancy loss, per Harper's Bazaar. "I will pay any price," Megan continues. "Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?"

Other poems in the book are similarly raw, with many tackling difficult themes, including abusive relationships and depression. "These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," Megan wrote on Instagram in August when she announced the book. "I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins." She added that she hopes her writing "can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."

Elvis Presley reveal

At 81, Hollywood legend Barbra Streisand had an enormous amount of ground to cover when she set out to write her new memoir, "My Name Is Barbra," out Nov. 7. That must explain the book's length, which clocks in at 997 pages in print and a whopping 48 hours and 14 minutes on Audible, according to Variety. The tome spans everything from the "Yentl" star's acting and singing careers to her love life, including romances with fellow celebrities that almost happened, but ultimately failed to launch.

The Oscar winner also reveals Elvis Presley was once a more literal kind of would-be leading man. As reported by People, Barbra was in the early days of production on her 1976 classic "A Star Is Born," when producer (and her boyfriend at the time) Jon Peters urged her to consider his "idol," the King, for the role that would eventually go to Kris Kristofferson. According to Barbra, she and Jon met Elvis in Las Vegas after checking out one of his performances. He was "interested" in the role, she writes, but things got off to a funny start when Elvis showed up for their meeting late, blaming his arrival time on a girl who'd been talking his ear off backstage. Barbra adds that Elvis divulged he didn't know if he should disappoint the girl he said was driving him "crazy," so she'd been on his plane.

Despite his interest in being cast alongside Barbra, the role went to Kris in part because Elvis' infamous manager, Colonel Parker, demanded too much money, Barbra alleges. "In any event," she writes, "I had no regrets about Elvis. Kris was it."

'GMA' absence explained

After missing weeks of airtime on both "Good Morning America" and "Fox NFL Sunday," Michael Strahan is expected to remain off the air for at least the next few days while he manages undisclosed "family matters," a rep for ABC tells People. "Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters. We appreciate everyone's thoughts and concerns," ABC told the outlet in a statement published Nov. 7. According to People, the morning show co-anchor "is healthy," though little more is known about his situation. Michael's also been away for two weeks from his analyst post on "Fox NFL Sunday." On Nov. 5, Fox Sports commentator Curt Menefee said his colleague was out "dealing with a personal family matter," according to the Los Angeles Times. He's been laying low on social media, as well, staying silent since Oct. 25, when he posted about his game show, "The $100,000 Pyramid."

Michael, 51, shares four adult children, ranging in age from 19 to 31, with two exes. On Nov. 7, Entertainment Tonight reported the star was expected to be back on the air next week, citing an unnamed source.

Family divide

As the Isarael-Hamas war continues to divide communities around the world, Jon Voight issued a scathing critique of the views expressed by his daughter, Angelina Jolie, on the deadly conflict. "I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God's honor, God's truths," said the conservative actor in a video posted to Twitter. In his message, which featured an American flag behind him, Jon also suggested Angelina and others "on the left" are spreading lies about Israel's motives.

Angelina — who spent much of the last two decades years working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and advocating for people trapped in conflict zones worldwide — called out Israel's response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks in two recent Instagram posts. Though she called Hamas' surprise attack that killed an estimated 1400 Israelis "an act of terror," she condemned Israel's response in Gaza, where airstrikes have reportedly killed nearly 10,000 civilians, the New York Times reported on Nov. 7.

"This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population who have nowhere to flee. Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave," she wrote in a Nov. 1 post, writing elsewhere that "millions of Palestinian civilians … are being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law." Shen also accused world leaders of being "complicit" for "refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire."

Jon, who was raised Catholic, argued Israel's intense response "is justice for God's children of the holy land." He continued, in part: "The Israeli army must protect thy soil, thy people. This is war. It's not going to be what the left thinks, it can't be civil now."

Angelina and her father were estranged for many years but reconnected around the time of her split from Brad Pitt in 2016. In May, RadarOnline.com reported she and her father had "lost contact again."

A 21-year-old Priscilla Presley rocked a white dress with embroidered lace sleeves encrusted with delicate pearls for her May 1967 wedding in Las Vegas while Elvis Presley, then 32, wore a classic tuxedo. She accessorized with a rhinestone tiara and massive tulle veil.

TV star and famed mother of eight 'desperate for money,' in 'dire' financial straits

Kate Gosselin reportedly raked in $250,000 an episode when she starred on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" from 2007 to 2009 and continued to earn a significant paycheck while starring with her children on other iterations of the show for years. She parlayed her reality TV fame into high-paying speaking gigs and even a turn on "Dancing With the Stars," banking an estimated $500,000.

Six-figure paydays are now a thing of the past for the mother of eight, who's struggling make ends meet and is in "dire" financial straits as opportunities on reality TV have dried up for her, a new report has alleged.

The claims come amid a fight between the former TV star and her ex-husband over alleged unpaid child support.

In 2022, Kate Gosselin claimed that ex-husband Jon Gosselin owes her $132,875 in unpaid child support. At the time, she asked a Pennsylvania court to enforce the payment, but the case remains ongoing.

According to a November 2023 report in the The U.S. Sun, she's barely getting by amid the legal battle.

"She is suing for support for money that was created by domestic relations in 2012. It was at the time she wanted legal custody of the kids so she could film and earn more money. She is relentless and desperate for money so she is now trying to sue," a source said. "Kate hasn't had a job other than reality TV for 17 years. She is doing what she can to get money. It looks like Kate's financial situation is dire."

In Touch recently reported that Kate Gosselin knows that her star has faded.

"She's fallen quite a ways from being one of the country's top reality stars," a source said. "Kate is currently living a very quiet and boring life in North Carolina. She doesn't date and has very few friends — actually, her best friends are pretty much her kids."

"Kate lives paycheck to paycheck… There hasn't been a glam squad for a very long time, so Kate looks totally different. She stays home a lot, watches a lot of TV," the source added.

The mother of eight hasn't appeared on reality TV in years, though she still gets recognized in public. The experience is "not always positive," according to the source: "Kate continues to get a lot of hate from people. She doesn't have it so easy," the insider said.

Amid the ongoing lawsuit, Kate's lawyer, Richard J. Puleo, threw shade at Jon Gosselin, saying, "The docket speaks for itself and 90 percent of the time, if not more, what you hear from Jon or his sources are complete outright lies. May want to check the docket, apparently his most recent attorney, which I believe is his 10th or 11th, needs to be withdrawn because Jon can't pay him or owes money, which is the normal route for him. That speaks volumes."

Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin have been at odds for years, but things took a turn for the worse last year when he accused her of "stealing" from their kids.

In 2019 legal documents, the "Kate Plus 8" star admitted to twice withdrawing $50,000 from the kids' trust: "I will have to keep borrowing from it to survive," she said at the time.

She then claimed that her eight children actually owe her money for their private school education.

"I'm not looking to collect that but I borrowed $100,000 from the kids' trust. … And it owes me $387,000 technically," she claimed in the legal docs.

Jon told The Sun in response, "It's disgusting and it's morally wrong. Parents are not supposed to withdraw any money from these accounts without permission and without drawing up paperwork that they will pay it back — but she has produced no paperwork and no payments have been made. You can't just live off your kids' money."

Music star's new spouse accuses his former partner of putting their kids' lives in 'jeopardy'

Kanye West's wife, Bianca Censori, is railing against the rapper's ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, after the reality TV star spoke about the lack of security at his apartment.

On a recent episode of "The Kardashians," Kim opened up about her oldest child with Ye, daughter North West, spending time at his Los Angeles apartment.

"North, she'll go to her dad's, she'll be like, 'Dad is the best. He has it all figured out. He doesn't have a nanny. He doesn't have a chef. He doesn't have security. He lives in an apartment,'" Kim told sister Kourtney Kardashian.

Bianca, who married Ye last December, is livid with Kim's security revelation.

Bianca Censori believes Kim Kardashian should stay in her lane when it comes to Kanye West's living situation.

"Bianca thinks it was quite tacky of Kim to divulge this information on 'The Kardashians' and, by doing so, she was actually putting her kids' safety in jeopardy," a source told DailyMail.com. "The public doesn't need to know that their kids would be without protection at any time. She just wants Kim to stop talking about her husband Kanye in a negative light to try and make herself look better."

A source insists that Kanye no longer lives in that apartment and does, indeed, have security now.

A second source told DailyMail.com that Kanye West wants his four children to have a simple lifestyle.

"Kanye loves his kids and wants the best for them and wants them to certainly enjoy what they are provided from their parents' successes, but he also wants them to live a simpler life and appreciate what they can work hard for," the source said. "Kanye doesn't want his kids to be jaded and spoiled, he wants them to know they can do anything, but it just takes a little more hard work to achieve that."

Kim Kardashian and Bianca Censori don't appear to have a relationship with one another.

In September, a source told Page Six that Kim "absolutely does not want to talk to [Bianca]."

"Kim is actually a firm believer in letting people be on their own journey and figure out life. She would never call someone and warn them. Kim has very much moved on. Kim only wishes Kanye and Bianca the best," the source said.

The new report about Kanye West's living situation comes as the music star is spending time away from Los Angeles.

Social media images show that he and daughter North West are in Dubai together. (TMZ reported that they recently traveled to Saudi Arabia.)

It does not appear that they were joined by the other three children whom Ye shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Kanye's new wife, Bianca Censori, also did not appear to be on hand for the father-daughter getaway.

"My So-Called Life" star A.J. Langer — who played Rayanne Graff on the cult-hit '90s show — might not be acting much anymore, but she did take on a new role… as the Countess of Devon.

A.J. set herself up for the title when she married attorney Charles Peregrine Courtenay — also known as Lord Courtenay and the son of the Earl of Devon — in 2004. Charles then became the 19th Earl of Devon upon his father's death, making A.J. his countess.

The couple relocated to London in 2015 with their two children, Lady Jocelyn Skye Courtenay and Lord Jack Hayden Langer Courtenay.

But they didn't get their happily ever after: In October 2023, the earl confirmed their 18-year marriage was over.

"After much care and consideration, Charles Courtenay, the Earl of Devon, and Countess of Devon, Allison Joy Courtenay, have made the decision to separate and to divorce," read a statement from Powderham Castle. "Charlie would like to express his gratitude for his partnership with A.J. and all that they have created together as parents, friends and partners both in Los Angeles and at Powderham. The well-being of their wonderful children is the highest priority, as he and A.J. focus upon co-parenting in the years ahead."

Oscar winner Jessica Chastain wed Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, an executive with the French fashion brand Moncler, in 2017 after nearly five years of dating.

They got married in Treviso at the Passi de Preposulo family estate Villa Tiepolo Passi — which has been the family's residence since the 1800s — in northern Italy. Gian Luca's family have been members of the nobility for centuries and can trace their history back to the 900s. Though she's remembered today for her epic film career, Rita Hayworth's off-screen exploits also made big news, especially in 1949 when she married Prince Aly Khan, the son of Sultan Mohammed Shah, Aga Khan III. Born in Belgium as Diane Simone Michelle Halfin, Diane married Germany's Prince Egon of Fürstenberg in 1969. The marriage produced two children, Prince Alexander and Princess Tatiana, and ended in 1972. Diane is no longer able to use the title of princess, but she kept the last name and arguably made it even more famous by attaching it to her fashion empire.

Mexico-born actress Laura Elena Harring's greatest role to date was in the 1999 mindbender "Mulholland Drive." But she had already taken on another interesting part in her private life: In 1987, she married Germany's Count Carl-Eduard von Bismarck-Schönhausen, giving her the title Countess von Bismarck-Schönhausen. Laura later divorced the count but retained her title.

Born Lisa Najeeb Halaby in Washington, this royal has the distinction of being the only American-born woman to be crowned a queen. In 1978, the Princeton graduate — who was on the university's women's ice hockey team and went on to work internationally as an urban planner — married King Hussein of Jordan, taking the name Queen Noor. She sat on the Jordanian throne until her husband's death in 1999. She remains active in philanthropy on the world stage to this day.

Even if you don't know history, seeing "The King's Speech" or "The Crown" should have taught you about Wallis Simpson, the American whose relationship with Prince Edward, heir to the British throne, caused an uproar during the 1930s. Wallis was still married to her second husband when her royal boyfriend became King Edward VIII upon his father's death. But she'd never became queen, because he wasn't allowed to marry a divorcée with two living ex-husbands as he was also head of the Church of England — so Edward abdicated for love. They married in 1937, becoming the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and lived the rest of their lives in exile.

Barbara Hutton — the socialite known as the "Poor Little Rich Girl" as a result of her vast wealth but dramatic and highly publicized personal life — married seven times, and five of those unions were with nobility or royalty. The Woolworth heiress's first husband, Alexis Mdivani (pictured), was a Georgian prince. Then, from 1935 to 1938, she was married to Danish nobleman Count Kurt von Haugwitz-Hardenberg-Reventlow. Bruce Springsteen and a pal are providing an update on his health issues. In September, Bruce and the E Street Band released a statement announcing that the rock icon "has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor's advice." The statement added that all scheduled 2023 shows were being pushed to 2024 "out of an abundance of caution."

"Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year," The Boss — who turned 74 in September — said.

The postponement news came as his inner circle had been imploring him to slow down. But now things are looking up…

Nearly two months after Bruce Springsteen's health forced him to postpone his tour, the rocker's pal and bandmate Steven Van Zandt is painting a hopeful picture. The "Born in the U.S.A." signer is in "great shape," Little Steven told People magazine in an interview that debuted online on Nov. 6.

"We're gonna come back stronger than ever in March," the E Street Band guitarist said. "It was a very, very intense first six months of the tour — maybe our most intense ever. And so we're gonna come back with that same intensity, and it's gonna be great."

In October, Bruce Springsteen also dished on his health and thanked fans for their patience on his SiriusXM E Street Radio show, "From My Home to Yours." After introducing himself as "your favorite rock star with a b**** of a bellyache," Bruce said peptic ulcer disease has been a "monster" to deal with.

"Let me take a moment and thank my fans affected by our postponed shows for their understanding," he said. "I am deeply sorry but this belly thing, despite my ability to laugh at it, has been a monster and is still unfortunately rocking my internal world."

Bruce Springsteen's family had been worried that his health could take a nosedive if he didn't take a break from touring to relax.

Prior to the Sept. 27 postponement announcement, the 74-year-old rock icon had already pushed back a string of shows in the United States to treat symptoms of peptic ulcer disease. Reports said his his inner circle, including wife Patti Scialfa, were imploring him to get healthy before returning to the stage.

"Bruce has had a rough couple of years," an insider told DailyMail.com in early September. "He's had COVID several times and even had to pull the plug on shows in August due to getting the latest strain. This was just a couple of weeks ago and it really takes a toll on someone of his age."

This wasn't the first time Bruce Springsteen has had a health-related setback. Back in 2013, he underwent throat surgery. In that instance, doctors cut open his vocal chords to repair damaged discs in his neck. A source told DailyMail.com that Bruce "hasn't been the same" since that surgery.

"It has really had an impact on his overall well-being," the source added. "Everyone wants him to just focus on his health and not push himself."

Despite knowing that rest and downtime are the best things for him, Bruce Springsteen is bound to get restless.

"Bruce hates not being able to do what he loves," a source told DailyMail.com. "Although an ulcer doesn't sound serious, it can be and can require surgery."

A second DailyMail.com insider was quick to note that it's not all doom and gloom for Bruce Springsteen.

"Bruce isn't dying which is the best-case scenario, he isn't hiding from any other lingering problems, the ulcers that he has are just kicking his a** and making it very uncomfortable to perform the way that he and his fans expect," the second source said. "Bruce is in amazing shape and with this setback, it just sucks because once Bruce is in tour, he fully encompasses himself with it."

"It is who he is, so this bump in the road frustrates the hell out of him, but his stubborn nature was nurtured by his band mates and wife who convinced him to get healthy now so something worse doesn't happen down the line," the source added.

The family-appreciated tour hiatus that Bruce Springsteen is on will be worth it in the long run. A source told DailyMail.com, "He has to listen to his doctors over his demanding work ethic he puts himself through and he is actually doing it and will give the rest of his shows 120 percent."

Bruce, they added, will be "back before you know it" after having a "few stress-free weeks and rest."

Teri, however, denies that account (more on that later…)

In his new memoir, "If You Would Have Told Me" — which hit bookshelves on Oct. 24 — the "Full House" star recalls being in "overwhelming" agony over what he saw. At one point, he even thought about having a physical altercation with the other man, though he ultimately thought better of it after seeing his "ripped abs," John told People magazine while promoting his book.

The man John Stamos found in bed with girlfriend Teri Copley was none other than "Who's the Boss?" star Tony Danza, John claims.

"Seeing him, realizing it was him and stuff, it was hard. I mean, it was awful," John told People magazine.

"At first I was like, 'I'm going to kick his…' I didn't know it was [Tony] yet. I see his abs. I'm like, 'Maybe not. F*** it.' And I ran," he said. "But I remember running down the driveway with tears streaming down my face and I didn't want anyone to see me."

When John Stamos saw Teri Copley in bed with another man, he didn't recognize him at first — but he soon realized who it was thanks to a quick glance in an unfamiliar car parked outside — and Elton John.

In his book, John explains that he looked into an unfamiliar car parked outside Teri Copley's home as he left and saw a poster of the model-actress — which she'd signed "My Dear Tony" — on the front seat, People magazine reported.

"I jump in … start the car, and Elton John is still singing, and that's when it hits me," John writes. "I mouth the words to his most famous lyrics and realize the name of my rival: 'Hold me closer, Tony Danza.'" (The frequently misunderstood lyrics is actually "Hold me closer, tiny dancer.")

He added, "It took me a long time to get over that."

John Stamos was "breathless" after the alleged cheating incident.

"I can't explain it, but I would've rather been punched in the nose again or something because the pain is so overwhelming," he told People magazine while promoting his memoir, adding that it was "physically painful" and "worse than anything."

Ultimately, he realized Teri Copley "wasn't the right girl" for him.

Teri Copley is fighting back on John Stamos's claim, insisting the two weren't together when she and Tony Danza were intimate.

"I wondered, 'What was John doing there?' because we had broken up," she told People magazine. "He just looked at me and shook his head and walked away."

After all these years, John feels that Teri is a "nice person."

"I mean, it wasn't right to cheat on me, but I was too immature; I wasn't a man," he told the magazine. "I didn't become a man for a long time and I think she was… I don't know. I was broken."

In a lengthy YouTube video, Teri Copley further argued against John Stamos's account of the evening in question. Teri claimed the "Full House" actor didn't catch her in bed with Tony Danza: She was "fully dressed" and opened the door when he arrived, she said, adding that Tony's car was in full view in the driveway.

"[John] just shook his head and looked at me like, 'How could you?'" she claimed. "Well, I looked at him and didn't say anything either. I just looked at him like, 'What do you care?'"

"He certainly didn't come in my house and find me in bed naked with a sheet over," she continued. "I mean, none of that happened."

Teri noted that she and John broke up after she got a phone call from the actor's mother.

"She called and she said, 'Teri, I know that you love John, but don't plan on marrying him because he has no intention of marrying you,'" she recalled. "I remember like it was yesterday."

Teri — who admitted she was very "young" at the time — dumped John after that call. A few days later, she reconciled with Tony, whom she'd previously dated.

Actor killed in car crash with three of his children

Taraja Ramses — a prominent Hollywood stuntman whose credits include "Black Panther" and "Avengers: Endgame" — was killed in a horrific car crash in Georgia on Halloween. Three of his children also perished in the accident.

WSB-TV News reported that Taraja was driving his truck with five of his kids when he plowed into a tractor-trailer that had broken down on a freeway exit ramp. The stuntman and two of his children — his 13-year-old daughter and his 8-week-old daughter — were pronounced dead at the scene. A few days later, Taraja's 10-year-old son also passed away from injuries sustained during the accident.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay paid tribute to Taraja Ramses on Instagram on Nov. 1.

"Taraja. Regal. That's the word that comes to mind when I think of him. He walked like a king. And to me, always acted like one. He was a part of our crew family at ARRAY. He left us last night forever in a way that makes the hearts of all who knew him break into a million pieces," she wrote. "Taraja. We'd talk about art and his family. My goodness, did he love his children. A happy, whole love. Beautiful to behold. He loved making movies and TV too. Held many positions over the years. Immersing himself in all aspects of the craft.

"I remember one day on set, we didn't have enough Black background actors for a key scene. I had to recruit my crew members to be on-camera. Taraja was the first to say yes. Yes, I'll do my real job and then jump into this wild scene playing a tough guy with a gun for you. From there — everyone else said yes too. He was that kind of person. A leader. A light. Taraja. His name is like music. We will continue to sing it. Bless his soul. Bless his memory. Bless his loved ones and the many comrades he leaves here as he journeys on."

Taraja Ramses' mom, Akili Ramsess, spoke of her son's fatal accident on Instagram.

"My beautiful, loving, talented son Taraja @chop.saki, along with two of my grand babies, his 13 yo daughter Sundari and his 8-week old newborn daughter Fujibo, were killed the previous night in a horrific traffic accident," she captioned a slideshow of photos on Nov. 2. "My grandson, his 10yo son, Kisasi, 'Sauce the Boss,' is on life support. Two of my granddaughters survived, the 3-yo Shazia is still hospitalized but is recovering with minor injuries."

"All who knew and met him know how special Taraja was. He had a deep capacity for love and loved his children more than all. He loved his martial arts, motorcycles and all things related to filmmaking. He [had] a very droll yet wicked sense of humor and yet could be as cornball corny as can be. Sundari, Sunny as she was called, also reflected that special light. Funny and loved to dance. Oh God! I can't believe they're gone! We are grieving and remain prayerful for my grandchildren's recovery. Thank you to so many who have already reached out with kind words and prayers," she added.

On Nov. 4, Akili tearfully announced that Kisasi had died.

"Kisasi Adebayo joins his father Taraja @chop.saki and sisters Sundari and Fujibo on their journey. May God bless all their souls. You all will be missed," she wrote.

After the deaths of Taraja Ramses and three of his children, a GoFundMe was set up to help his mother, Akili Ramsess.

"We will continue to update this posting with more information as it becomes available and as Akili and her family are ready to release it," the GoFundMe page explained. "I know you share our feelings that this devastating loss is unfathomable, and we are just trying to take a first step in helping Akili down the very long road ahead. Please give what you can."

With a goal of $150,000, the fund has raised more than half of that as of Nov. 6. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay chipped in $5,000.

Taraja Ramses's longtime pal said the loss of the "Creed 3" stuntman is heartbreaking.

"When I first heard about it, I broke down," X3 Sports trainer Tony Tucci told WSB-TV News. "I had to sit down… He was always a family man. [Taraja's children] would come and sit and watch him train, and they would jump in and start training too."

"He was just an amazing person," Tony added. "We have a great loss to this world. It makes you reflect and gives you a new perspective on everyone you need to call every day. Because you never know when your last words are going to be to someone."

"I'm very fortunate to have the life that I do," he told People magazine. "And I think that if the public might find a little interest in, 'Oh, he looks like his famous dad,' that's great. That means they're talking about my family in a positive light and remembering our dad and our mom and our family in a way that honors them."

In 1995, Christopher Reeve was paralyzed in an equestrian accident. The "Superman" icon passed way nearly a decade later in 2004. Two years later, his wife, Dana Reeve, died from lung cancer despite the fact that she never smoked.

"Knowing that my dad and my mom together as a couple inspired millions of people is so touching to me, because I saw them, first and foremost, as mom and dad," their son, Will Reeve, told E! News in November 2016. "They just did what they had to do as parents, as husband and wife and as citizens of the world. It just so happened that because they were such incredible people, the work that they did and the life that they lived in a public-facing way touched others."

Six days after he was found unresponsive in a hot tub, Matthew Perry's family and co-stars gathered to mourn and honor the actor — who died at 54 on Oct. 28 — during a private funeral and memorial service in Los Angeles on Nov. 3.

Matthew's "Friends" co-stars — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer — were among the limited number of guests who joined the beloved actor's parents and stepparents to say goodbye as he was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park near the Warner Bros. Studios lot where his iconic NBC sitcom was filmed, People magazine and other outlets reported.

Earlier on the same day as his funeral, Matthew's loved ones announced they'd launched a foundation in his name to continue the work he'd been doing prior to his death to support people battling addiction. "In the spirit of Matthew Perry's enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction, we embark on a journey to honor his legacy by establishing the Matthew Perry Foundation," the organization said in a press release, "guided by his own words and experiences, and driven by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible."

The star had long struggled with drugs and alcohol. He wrote candidly about his path to sobriety in his memoir, "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing," and he also said he wrote the play "The End of Longing" as "a personal message" about addicts and "people who love people like me."

"When I die, I know people will talk about 'Friends,' 'Friends,' 'Friends' — and I'm glad of that, happy I've done some solid work as an actor, as well as given people multiple chances to make fun of my struggles on the world wide web," he once said. "But when I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if 'Friends' were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people."

Parenting payout

Fatherhood doesn't come cheap. Al Pacino, 83, became a dad for the fourth time in June when his girlfriend — 29-year-old producer Noor Alfallah — welcomed their son, Roman. Now, a Los Angeles judge has ordered the "Scarface" star to pay Noor more than $30,000 a month in child support, Page Six reported on Nov. 2. Al was further ordered to fork over $110,000 before those monthly installments begin, the outlet noted, plus $13,000 to cover the cost of a "night nurse" and to make an annual $15,000 education fund deposit for the baby. The Oscar winner will also be responsible for paying "any medical bills outside of health insurance coverage," according to Page Six.

Despite the hefty payments, a rep for Al told the Huffington Post that he and Noor are still an item. The two share joint legal custody of their little one, but Noor has primary physical custody of Roman. Al, who also has three adult children, began dating Noor "sometime during the pandemic," Page Six reported last year.

Sober birthday

"Six years ago." That's how Jessica Simpson captioned a photo she shared on her Instagram Story on Nov. 2 to mark the sixth anniversary of the day she stopped drinking alcohol. She first posted the November 2017 snapshot — which shows her sitting alone in a pink sweatsuit wearing a downcast expression — two years ago, in honor of her four-year sobriety anniversary. At the time, she wrote that she'd come to see "an unrecognizable version of myself" in the image.

"I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity," she captioned the image in part. "Personally, to do this I needed to stop drinking alcohol because it kept my mind and heart circling in the same direction and quite honestly I was exhausted. I wanted to feel the pain so I could carry it like a badge of honor."

"The drinking wasn't the issue. I was. I didn't love myself. I didn't respect my own power. Today I do," she concluded.

Stunt regrets

Sylvester Stallone is having second thoughts about his famous affection for doing his own stunts, he reveals in the new Netflix documentary "Sly." When the actor, now 77, was 62, he broke his neck on the set of "The Expendables." "Truthfully, I never fully recovered," Sly says in the doc, according to Insider. "It did such a number on my body, I've never been the same… Never," he added.

He initially kept the injury under wraps while the movie was still in production but later recounted the gruesome fight scene in which he fractured his neck to FHM magazine in 2010: "I had to have a very serious operation afterwards," he said of the "vicious" moment on set. "I now have a metal plate in my neck." In the same interview, he recalled having instructed Dolph Lundgren "to try to knock me out while the cameras were rolling" while shooting "Rocky IV." "At one point, he hit me so hard on the top of the head I felt my spine compress," Sly said. "He then hit me with an almighty uppercut. That night my chest and heart started to swell, and I had to be helicopter-ambulanced from my hotel to a nearby emergency room."

In "Sly," the action star said he's often wondered, "Was it really worth it? Are you doing this for people's approval? Really, that's almost like a child needing a pat on their head by their father. That's constant encouragement. But it's true."

Asked about Sly's stunts and injuries, his "Expendables" co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger said in the doc, "It's not uncommon for an action hero to get injured on set, but I think it is clear that Sly drove it to the extreme. I thought it was too much."

'Grooming' claims

Priscilla Presley is shedding new light on her once-controversial romance with Elvis Presley. The Presley family matriarch was just 14 in the early '60s when she started seeing The King, who was 24 at the time. But she's not convinced terms like "grooming" are applicable, despite the age gap. "It was a different time," she told Piers Morgan on the Nov. 2 edition of his "TalkTV" show, "Uncensored," according to "Entertainment Tonight."

Asked how she responds to those who claim Elvis acted in a predatory manner when she was a teen, Priscilla replied, "I don't know about grooming me, I didn't take it at that." Instead, she said Elvis appreciated her ability to listen at a time when he was mourning the death of his mother and angry at his father for moving on with someone new.

Piers suggested a musician would be "canceled" for pursuing a teenager in 2023.

"I understand," Priscilla replied. "But I was 14 in Germany and there was always people around. Our talks were, yes, private but he never, ever, ever was aggressive, nor did he ever make love to me." She added, "I was somehow, like I said earlier, someone he trusted to talk to and pour his heart out."

Kat Von D is getting into detail about her decision to ditch "witchcraft" and turn to Jesus. On a November 2023 episode of the "Relatable" podcast, the "L.A. Ink" alum explained that COVID lockdowns forced her to reevaluate her "perspectives," and she soon found herself longing for spirituality. The former reality TV star admits to being "miserable" during the pandemic: She realized that the choices she and her husband, Leafar Seyer, made "obviously [haven't] worked for us."

"I'm on fire for Jesus. I don't plan on this dimming out," she added.

Kat Von D was born in Mexico to parents who were Christian missionaries. When she moved to the United States at age 6 with her parents, Kat began "straying" from Christianity. The makeup mogul admits that during her teenage years, she began "resenting" the church and getting into tarot cards, mediation camps and spiritual retreats.

"As I got into my 20s, I started looking — without knowing — into new age stuff," she said. Soon, she began reading and gathering occult books.

Now 41, Kat no longer has a relationship with that lifestyle.

When the COVID pandemic began, Kat Von D started "re-evaluating" her life.

"Going down the list of what I'm doing with my life and what my perspectives are, and then it got to the part of my spirituality and that's where I started really rethinking a lot of things," she said. Kat eventually started watching sermons every Sunday.

"I just desired more and more and more and so I just started studying the Bible," she said.

Before long, the Bible became her book of choice. She began to see her occult books, meanwhile, as "crutches."

"I came to this really awesome realization that night that I don't want these crutches in my life anymore – and that's what I really saw them as. I just want Jesus," she said. "I feel like it's a very narrow road. I feel like these breathing techniques or spellwork or nature worship – all of these things are just crutches. They're not really my answer. I would rather eliminate any distractions and this is just what works for me."

In 2022, she revealed that she had gotten rid of all her witchcraft literature.

Now, Kat Von D is following a spiritual path that even saw her recently getting baptized.

"I'm on fire for Jesus. I don't plan on this dimming out," she said. "The more and more I learn the more and more excited I get about things and the more at ease I am about what's happening in this world and what's happening in my marriage or in all of it."

Learning religion as an adult is more "meaningful and real than it is when you're a child," Kat Von D said.

She also believes she's happier than friends who still practice witchcraft.

"The ones that are dictating their life through tarot or some of the witchcraft stuff, even the meditation stuff… they're all so miserable," Kat said. "They're the most broke people, usually most of them are single, they don't have stability — and I'm talking both financial and the love around them. There's always this drama and dread and doom and gloom, and I was one of them. I would look around at the Christian friends and they're not perfect by any means but I [thought], 'I want what you have, I want the light that you have.'"

Although Kat Von D admired her Christian friends for their "light," it was also Christians, in general, who gave her the most hate about her baptism.

"You would think all the hate would be coming from people who are against religion or against Christianity. It was really the Christians who were the worst," she said on Instagram. "It was really sad to see this critical display of judgment from Christians … because that isn't Christ-like to judge people or judge people's journey."

On the "Relatable" podcast, she said people accused her of "faking" the religious ceremony or doing it as a publicity stunt.

"I'm not an idiot. I knew that when I posted that video that people would have questions," she said, adding that it was "one of the most important days" of her life.

"To publicly proclaim this was me setting some things right. It was important to me to share that because I could have just kept it to myself and just kept going on but I was like, no, this is something I want to celebrate and I want to be open and honest about it," she said.

At 83, Al Pacino became a father for the third time. In June 2023, the Oscar winner's then-29-year-old girlfriend of more than a year, producer Noor Alfallah, gave birth to a son they named Roman Alfallah Pacino.

Three months later, Noor filed for full physical custody and asked a judge to give Al "reasonable visitation" rights as well as share legal custody with him, Page Six reported. Bizarrely, despite Noor's custody action, she and Al remain romantically involved. "Al and Noor have successfully worked together and have mutually reached agreements regarding their child, Roman," Al's rep told Page Six, adding, "They are still together."

By early November, they'd hammered out a deal: TMZ reported that a judge approved Noor's custody request as well as an agreement for Al to pay $110,000 in child support up front and $30,000 a month moving forward — with an additional $90,000 year-end payment due depending on his earnings each year. The acting legend — who was already paying $13,000 a month for a night nurse — will also add $15,000 a year to an education fund and handle any of Roman's medical expenses outside insurance.

Al was 60 when he welcomed twins Anton and Olivia with then-girlfriend Beverly D'Angelo and 49 when he had his first child, daughter Julie, with then-love Jan Tarrant. There's more than a 33 year age gap between Al's oldest and youngest children.

David Foster became a father for the sixth time at 71 in 2021 when wife Katharine McPhee, who's 34 years his junior, gave birth to son Ren. After raising five daughters, all of whom are now adults (he also has multiple grandchildren), the producer-composer has acknowledged that being an older father is different. The 16-time Grammy winner told People magazine in February 2022 that it's nice to have a different pace of life than he did when his girls were born. "It's just great being a dad," he said. "It's too cliché to say 'Now I have more time,' but I do: I have more time. Without any reflection on any of my other children, whom I all love equally, and equally as much as my son."

In January 2023, David opened up even more about being a septuagenarian dad, explaining how it's "not better or worse, just different. I still work, I'm still gone a lot, but maybe the time is a little more precious to me because I got more runway behind me than I have ahead of me now," he told People, adding that it takes "patience" to be a father to a toddler. "I was not patient when I was young," he admitted. "I was arrogant and just on the move." He's also realized he has something he can give his son that maybe a younger father couldn't. 'Complicated' love

"Friends" alum Matthew Perry, who died over the weekend at age 54, "would love that the world is talking about how talented he was," his former fiancée Molly Hurwitz wrote, in part, on Instagram on Monday, Oct. 30. "And he really was very talented," she continued before recalling the joy of seeing Matthew come to appreciate his acting talent as they rewatched "Friends" together. "Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical," Molly shared.

"But, I obviously knew that man in a very different way, too. While I loved him deeper than I could comprehend, he was complicated, and he caused pain like I'd never known," she said of the star, who wrote about his long struggle with addiction in his memoir, "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing." "No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. I have tremendous gratitude for that, for everything I learned from our relationship." Noting that Al Anon "is an invaluable resource for those who love someone struggling with this destructive disease," Molly added, "Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace."

Matthew was found dead in his hot tub on Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed in a statement over the weekend. The investigation into the actor's cause of death is ongoing and "could take weeks or months," experts told the New York Times. Prior to his death, Matthew was working on a foundation he hoped would help others with addiction issues, People reported on Monday.

'Small Town' song defense

Jason Aldean remains confused by the backlash sparked by his 2023 song "Try That In a Small Town" and the video he originally released with it. In a new interview for "CBS Mornings," the country star was asked to share his first response to critics who said, as interviewer Jan Crawford put it in a preview clip (via Entertainment Weekly), the music and footage "had racist, undertones and … was like a call to arms." Looking taken aback, Jason replied by asking "how?"

The video was shot at the site of a 1927 lynching and paired Black Lives Matter protest footage with lines like, "Got a gun that my granddad gave me/They say one day they're gonna round up/Well, that s*** might fly in the city/Good luck." As Jan reminded Jason, it was therefore received as "a threatening kind of video for Black people." Jason seemingly disagreed.

"There was people of all color doing stuff in the video, that's what I don't understand," he said. "You know, there was white people in there. There was Black people. I mean, this video did not shine light on one specific group and say, 'That's the problem.' So, and anybody that saw that in the video, then you weren't looking hard enough in the video is all I can tell you."

Courtroom drama

"Shame on you, Chase Robinson!" a visibly irked Robert De Niro told his former assistant in a federal courtroom in New York City on Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to The New York Times. It was the Oscar winner's second day on the stand as he defends himself against an ex-employee's allegations that he subjected her to gender discrimination and retaliation. The jury is also slated to hear claims Robert made about Chase in the lawsuit his company filed against her following her 2019 resignation from Canal Productions, where she started in 2008 as the star's assistant before being promoted to vice president.

Chase claims in her lawsuit that Robert referred to her as his assistant long after she was promoted to V.P. of Production and Finance, assigning her tasks like "vacuuming his apartment and mending his clothes" while paying her less than male employees. Robert, meanwhile, claims Chase improperly used company money on personal expenses, binge-watched "Friends" on the job and diverted more than $450,000 worth of airline miles to her personal account, among other things.

During his tense time on the stand on Tuesday, the actor was asked about Chase's claim he routinely called her while he was using the restroom. "Give me a break with that nonsense," he reportedly replied. At another point, he admitted he "berated her" and may have called her a "spoiled brat," but said, "I was never abusive. Period." He also reportedly said he may have asked her to scratch his back once or twice, as she's alleged, though he denied the request was "lewd."

Psychotic breaks

Shortly after wrapping the first season of Netflix's "Bridgerton" in 2019, Ruby Barker says she suffered her first of two "psychotic breaks from that show" and was quietly hospitalized. The actress (seen here between co-stars Polly Walker and Kathryn Drysdale) says she had "no support" from Netflix or show creator Shonda Rhimes' team during that time — and soon experienced a second psychotic break and hospitalization.

"It was really covered up and kept on the down-low because the show was going to be coming out," the British star said on Oxford University's "LOAF Podcast" on Oct. 28, according to E! News. "Not a single person from Netflix, not a single person from Shondaland since I have had two psychotic breaks from that show have even contacted me or even emailed me to ask if I'm OK, or if I would benefit from any sort of aftercare or support," she alleged.

It didn't help matters that her character on the Regency-era drama, Marina, "was very alienated, very ostracized" in the storyline, which involved a secret pregnancy, an unsuccessful abortion and a forced marriage to the brother of her late lover. "During filming," Ruby said her own mental state "was deteriorating." She was hospitalized one week after shooting the show's first season, then discharged amid massive "Bridgerton" buzz, a demanding promotional schedule and an exploding fan base.

"My life was changing drastically overnight, and yet there was still no support and there still hasn't been any support all that time," she recalled. "So it was trying really, really hard to act like it was OK and that I could work and that it wasn't a problem." Shonda and Netflix have yet to comment on the claims.

Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, could have a reality show in the works starring the couple and their seven young children. In a recent edition of SiriusXM's "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast, Alec, 65, told Kelly Ripa that he and Hilaria have been pitched ideas about appearing on their own show and they are considering it, in large part because it's not feasible for Alec to work on location for long stints.

"Everything's about my family," Alec said, according to "Entertainment Tonight." "I have really tried in the last several years — once we had five and then six, and then seven kids, I can't go anywhere for any length of time." The actor and his wife, 39, share daughters Carmen, 10, Lucia, 2 and Ilaria, 1, and sons Rafael, 8, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 5, and Eduardo, 3. He shares 28-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

"In the old days I'd jump on a plane and go to L.A… It was easy to pick up and go. [Now] I need 12 plane tickets — nannies, kids, my wife. … I need, like, 11. They don't even have 11 seats in the business class section of the plane," he explained. "So everything we did and then shows we have considered and pitches we've heard, and even one or two pitches we've made about our family and that reality show has all been so we could stay home and just work from home. I'm desperate to try to work from New York."

Actors Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz are engaged, multiple outlets reported on Monday, Oct. 30. The news first surfaced after the couple was photographed in costume — channeling the classic horror flick "Rosemary's Baby" — while leaving Kylie Jenner's Halloween bash over the weekend, with Zoe's new sparkler in view on her left hand. Sources later confirmed to People and "Entertainment Tonight" that the two are engaged.

Asked about their relationship in 2022, Zoe told GQ, "He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

BravoCon — which takes place in Las Vegas this year beginning on Nov. 3 — will be missing a face familiar to Bravo fans: Ramona Singer.

The former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" has reportedly been axed from the convention (and her job!) in the wake of news that she texted a racial slur to a reporter who was investigating claims that she exhibited a series of offensive behavior — including using the N-word while speaking to Black crew members — while working on the Bravo show.

When asked about Ramona Singer being disinvited from BravoCon, Andy Cohen told Page Six: "Well, I mean, I think, listen, not to dwell on it, but I think just the events of this week led to her not being here. I think it was the right call, and period dot."

The "Watch What Happens Live" host — who executive produces the "Real Housewives" franchise — remained coy when asked about Ramona's future with the network.

"Well, I mean, we already shot 'RHONY Legacy,' so you will see her there," he said, referring to "The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy," which is set to debut in December.

On Oct. 30, Vanity Fair published a lengthy article exposing some of the bad behavior taking place behind the scenes in the "Real Housewives" franchise. According to the report, Ramona Singer once used the N-word in a conversation with a Black "Housewives" crew member.

After a fight with Eboni K. Williams — the first Black star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" — Ramona allegedly "slammed her hands on the table" and uttered, "This is why we didn't need Black people on the show… This is gonna ruin our show," a production source said.

Ramona denied the moment ever occurred: "I never said that. It's a terrible lie," she told Page Six when the claims first came to light in 2021. "It's very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me."

Ramona Singer continues to deny much of what has been alleged.

However, after the Vanity Fair article debuted, she texted a Page Six reporter about the alleged slur. While defending herself, she texted another slur.

"And the word I used was 'NWord' … not n*****," she allegedly texted the reporter.

Elsewhere in the exposé, Vanity Fair reported that "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast members took a "virtual education session" before Eboni K. Williams joined the show. The meeting touched on topics such as "Black women," "microaggressions" and "lexicon" and encouraged the women to avoid racist tropes such as "Black fathers are not present for their children," Vanity Fair reported.

According to Eboni, Ramona Singer allegedly chimed in, "What if they don't have a father? Why can't I say that? Most of them don't." After she received pushback, Ramona argued that she read a statistic about Black fatherhood in a study.

Ramona confirmed she participated in an eduction session: "The training included 'open dialogue.' In that spirit, I asked a question about a statistic I had read about single-parent households, where children with single-parent households were statistically less likely to succeed than two-parent households," she told Vanity Fair.

At one point, Ramona Singer waded into racially-charged waters while addressing a Black crew member: "There's so many of you guys here now, please don't change your hair as I'm not gonna be able to remember anybody's names," she said.

The TV star confirmed she made that comment, though she insisted it was taken out of context: "It was strictly a commentary on my inability to remember names. … As an example, just last week I saw a photo with me and Travis Kelce from 2016 on 'Watch What Happens Live' and I thought he was Jax Taylor," she told Vanity Fair.

Referring to the incident, two witnesses told the magazine that Ramona said, "There's so many Black chicks!" Ramona denied ever using those words, though she used the term "Black chick" on season 13 of "The Real Housewives of New York City."

Ramona Singer wasn't just given the boot from BravoCon.

On Nov. 2, Page Six reported that she was also fired from her real estate job at Douglas Elliman due to her alleged actions. The "Real Housewives of New York City" star joined the real estate firm in November 2021.

"It's official!! I am so excited to get started," she said on social media at the time. After joining, Douglas Elliman said Ramona "brings deep sales and marketing experience, fearless entrepreneurial instincts and a singular sense of style to the Elliman family."

Ramona no longer appears on the agency's website. A link to her bio page now says: "Page Not Found."

"Priscilla" — a new biopic about Priscilla Presley and her relationship with Elvis Presley based on her bestselling book — opened wide in theaters on Friday, Nov. 3. The couple's late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, had some real issues with the film's script, though: She called it "shockingly vengeful and contemptuous."

Variety got its hands on several emails Lisa sent to director Sofia Coppola four months before her sudden death in January 2023.

"Priscilla" is largely based on Priscilla Presley's 1985 memoir "Elvis and Me." Both the book and the movie highlight Priscilla's courtship with Elvis Presley, which kicked off when she was 14 and the King of Rock and Roll was 24.

Lisa Marie Presley was clearly not happy with the direction of the film.

"My father only comes across as a predator and manipulative. As his daughter, I don't read this and see any of my father in this character. I don't read this and see my mother's perspective of my father. I read this and see your shockingly vengeful and contemptuous perspective and I don't understand why?" Lisa wrote to director Sofia Coppola.

Priscilla, who was married to Elvis from 1967 to 1973, is credited as an executive producer on the film.

"I will be forced to be in a position where I will have to openly say how I feel about the film and go against you, my mother and this film publicly," Lisa Marie added.

"Priscilla" director Sofia Coppola replied to Lisa Marie Presley, "I hope that when you see the final film you will feel differently, and understand I'm taking great care in honoring your mother, while also presenting your father with sensitivity and complexity."

The two women exchanged emails in September 2022, just weeks before the film went into production.

In her emails to filmmaker Sofia Coppola — who's "The Godfather" director Francis Ford Coppola's daughter — Lisa Marie Presley argued that her mother, Priscilla Presley, wasn't thinking about her marriage and courtship with Elvis Presley in the context of modern-day sensibilities about age-mismatched romances.

"I am worried that my mother isn't seeing the nuance here or realizing the way in which Elvis will be perceived when this movie comes out," Lisa Marie wrote in her emails, according t Variety. "I feel protective over my mother who has spent her whole life elevating my father's legacy. I am worried she doesn't understand the intentions behind this film or the outcome it will have."

Lisa Marie went on to reference Sofia's own famous family: "I would think of all people that you would understand how this would feel. Why are you coming for my Dad and my family?" she wrote.

Lisa Marie Presley went on to share a story about one of her twin daughters, Harper Lockwood, who was made aware of the "Priscilla" film.

"I had to explain that we are going to have to endure another hit in our lives. That there is going to be a movie about her grandfather that is going to try to make him look really, really bad but it's not true," Lisa Marie wrote to filmmaker Sofia Coppola. "I had to explain that her beloved grandmother is supporting it. These two little girls have been through so much in the past seven years, enduring my divorce and horrific custody battle and then losing their brother. We've all been drowning."

On Jan. 12, 2023, Lisa Marie Presley died at 54 after going into cardiac arrest.

Soon after, many of her pro-Palestine followers commented on the post begging her to address the conflict on her huge platform. There was a sentiment that the "Only Murders in the Building" actress should address the situation because of her position with UNICEF.

When she did eventually speak about the conflict, she only further upset followers on both sides.

On Oct. 30, Selena Gomez posted an Instagram message to explain why she hadn't publicly commented on the conflict.

"I've been taking a break from social media because my heart breaks to see all of the horror, hate, violence and terror that's going on in the world," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific. We need to protect ALL people, especially children and stop the violence for good."

"I'm sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag. I just can't stand by innocent people getting hurt. That's what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But a post won't," she added.

Selena Gomez then shared a photo of her younger sister, Gracie Elliott Teefey, and tried to humanize her thoughts.

"Having a sister everyday has made me tragically sick. I would do anything for children and innocent lives," she wrote.

Still, there was ample vitriol thrown Selena's way.

As the conflict escalated, Selena Gomez disabled comments on her Instagram, but fans are still able to comment on that aforementioned Oct. 4 post, which has nothing to do with the conflict and was posted three days before Hamas launched a series of terrorist attacks in Israel.

The comments condemning Selena were so relentless that she's now considering getting rid of her Instagram altogether.

In a since-deleted Nov. 2 message, Selena said, "I'm taking a break and deleting my Instagram. I'm done. I do not support any of what's going on."

As of now, her Instagram remains active.

LAPD's homicide division is investigating sudden death of NBC sitcom star

The Los Angeles Police Department has its heavy hitters investigating the untimely death of "Friends" star Matthew Perry in his hot tub at 54 on Oct. 28. The department's Robbery Homicide Division is looking into the case, though foul play is not suspected, TMZ reported.

When it comes to high-profile cases within the Los Angeles Police Department's jurisdiction, it's standard operating procedure for the Robbery Homicide Division to get involved and make sure nothing nefarious took place. The division has the experience and necessary manpower to handle media-intensive situations like Matthew Perry's death.

Coincidentally, the same division investigated Michael Jackson's death, which was ultimately deemed a homicide.

Matthew Perry was found dead in a hot tub in his backyard in Los Angeles's Pacific Palisades area on Oct. 28. He appeared to have drowned.

According to TMZ, Matthew played pickleball that morning then sent his assistant on an errand after he returned home. When the assistant arrived back at the house, he found the "Friends" star unresponsive and called 911.

Although Matthew Perry had a history of substance abuse and addiction issues, no illicit drugs were found on the premises, TMZ reported. Authorities did find anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs and a medication for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease — which is often used by people with emphysema or chronic bronchitis — at Matthew's home. (The "17 Again" actor was a cigarette smoker for much of his life.)

A toxicology report will determine what, if anything, he had in his system when he died, but it will be weeks before the coroner's office can share its findings.

An autopsy has already been completed.

During a 2022 interview with podcaster Tom Power to promote his memoir, "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing," Matthew Perry spoke about how he wanted to be remembered — and it wasn't for his work on screen.

"I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. I'm still working through it personally, but the best thing about me is that if an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says, 'Will you help me?' I will always say, 'Yes, I know how to do that. I will do that for you, even if I can't always do it for myself.' So I do that wherever I can — in groups or one on one," he said. "And I created the Perry House in Malibu, a sober-living facility for men. I also wrote my play, 'The End of Longing,' which is a personal message to the world, an exaggerated form of me as a drunk. I had something important to say to people like me and to people who love people like me."

"When I die, I know people will talk about 'Friends,' 'Friends,' 'Friends' — and I'm glad of that, happy I've done some solid work as an actor, as well as given people multiple chances to make fun of my struggles on the world wide web," he continued. "But when I die, as far as my so-called accomplishments go, it would be nice if 'Friends' were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people. I know it won't happen, but it would be nice."

Kate Beckinsale is in no mood to be trolled this week — dental surgery will do that to the best of us. Alas, this didn't stop Instagram trolls from going into attack mode when the actress, 50, shared a post-op photo of herself in a wheelchair with an ice pack wrapped around her head, a gauze-stuffed mouth and what looks like leftover makeup from a Halloween party the night before.

"Just for balance and to answer a question I am sometimes asked 'do you ever take a bad picture' may I direct you to the absolute D*** MAGNET that left the dentist surgery this morning," Kate captioned the shot on Nov. 1. Some users responded by praising her fashion choices for the surgery (including a sweatshirt that read, "F***") or pointing out that she still looks amazing in the pic. Others, however, accused her of having had plastic surgery.

"You don't need work done to your face. This is a bad example to young girls growing up saying you can't age gracefully," one person commented. "Was she getting work [done?] You don't need it," asked another. A third called her a "princess" for using a wheelchair.

At first, Kate tried to be nice in her replies, telling the "princess" hater that wheelchairs are "mandatory" after general anesthesia and asking, "Have you ever seen someone after they've had a wisdom tooth pulled? It looks quite different from a facelift."

But the nasty comments continued to pour in and she soon changed course — with hilarious results.

"PSA to all young women, do not get your wisdom teeth removed because this b***end doesn't like it," she replied. "I'm sorry for setting a bad example and not just letting myself get an infection, not treat it, get sepsis and die. Because that's what a good example setting women would do. You utter t***."

As Kate's pal, Selma Blair, wrote in the comments… "Still got it."

Opioid cycles

"Friends" creator Marta Kauffman recalls Matthew Perry being "happy and chipper" when they spoke just two weeks before he was found dead in his home on Oct. 28 at 54. But as she shared in a Nov. 1 "Today" interview, she was also worried about him at times in recent years. Matthew's long struggle with addiction was no secret, nor was the toll his substance abuse took on his body. In his memoir and in interviews, the actor opened up about having undergone more than a dozen gastrointestinal surgeries to address issues caused by his use of opiates. As Marta pointed out, recovering from surgery caused by opioid abuse sent more painkillers his way.

"I was concerned about him," she said of the period when they were shooting 2021's "Friends Reunion." "Knowing that he'd been through everything he'd been through, and every time he had surgery they're giving him opioids for pain, and the cycle starts over again. So, yes, I was concerned about what point in the cycle he was in that moment."

Two weeks before his death, though, she said he seemed happy and healthy. "He didn't seem weighed down by anything," Marta recalled. "He was in a really good place, which is why this seems so unfair."

The "Friends" star's cause of death has not been confirmed as of Nov. 2, but authorities have said there were no signs of foul play.

Pre-show ER visit

At 52, Missy Elliott's music career is already awash in historic moments and major hip-hop milestones. But success doesn't always prevent anxiety — and Missy has the hospital records to prove it. In a Nov. 2 interview on "Good Morning America," the four-time Grammy winner revealed she was hospitalized right before she joined Katy Perry onstage for the 2015 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

"I didn't know how huge, how many people watched the Super Bowl. When I did it, I ended up in the emergency room. My anxiety kicked in," Missy said, as reported by ET. Having long avoided discussing her sexuality publicly, the rapper said she was nervous because of rumors about her sexuality, which she's long avoided discussing in public.

"Because it was a secret and then, the day before, people started whispering, 'I think Missy is coming out [during] Katy Perry's set.' I started freaking out. So in the wee hours of the morning before the Super Bowl, before I performed, I was at the emergency room," she continued. "It feels good to be in a time now where you can talk about it. Because you realize, there's a lot of people who suffer from anxiety."

Missy's anxiety revelation came as she prepared to become the first woman rapper to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 3.

'Unbearable' loss

For Priscilla Presley, losing her only child, Lisa Marie Presley, in January 2023 was nothing short of "unbearable." The ex-wife of Elvis Presley reflected on Lisa Marie's death on the British show, "TalkTV," telling Piers Morgan how she was still mourning the recent deaths of her grandson, Benjamin Keough, and mother, Anna, when Lisa Marie died suddenly of a bowel obstruction at age 54.

Lisa Marie's son Benjamin, 27, died by suicide in 2020. Priscilla's mother passed away the following year at 95. "It's like a large part of your life is taken away," she said. Elsewhere in the interview, she recalled the last moments she spent with Lisa Marie. The pair had attended the Golden Globes together and were having a post-show drink when Lisa Marie said her "stomach really hurts." They shared what Priscilla noted was "the last hug I gave her," and called it a night. Lisa Marie died two days later.

Priscilla also addressed her battle with granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, over Lisa Marie's estate. On Oct. 30, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge finalized a settlement the family agreed to earlier this year. Among other details, Riley remains the sole trustee and Priscilla gets a $1 million payment. She's also now allowed to be laid to rest beside Elvis at Graceland, where she'll serve as a paid "special adviser" to the estate, according to People.

Asked about Riley, Priscilla said, in part, "I love her … Riley and I have always been close. I think Riley will be great, she has asked me a few things about what to do. I want to help her with Graceland." She added, "I trust her."

Settlement finalized

In addition to sharing new details about the death of her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, with Piers Morgan in a new interview for "TalkTV," Priscilla Presley addressed her battle with granddaughter, actress Riley Keough, over Lisa Marie's estate.

Lisa Marie had removed her mother from her will in 2016. Circumstances including the recent death of her son, Benjamin Keough, left the star's daughter, Riley Keough, as sole trustee. Priscilla initially disputed this in court, but eventually agreed to a settlement with her granddaughter. On Oct. 30, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge finalized that settlement, which keeps Riley on as the sole trustee but grants Priscilla a $1 million payment and permission to be laid to rest beside her ex, Elvis Presley, at Graceland, where she'll serve as a paid "special adviser" to the estate, according to People.

Asked about the dispute and her relationship with Riley, Priscilla said, in part, "I love her … Riley and I have always been close. I think Riley will be great, she has asked me a few things about what to do. I want to help her with Graceland. She has a good head on her shoulders," she added. "I trust her."

Cryptic post

Armie Hammer has returned to social media after a long silence that followed disturbing sexual abuse allegations. The jury's still out on the meaning of his cryptic post, though. On Nov. 1, the actor shared a clip from the classic 1968 Burt Lancaster film, "The Swimmer," which he appeared to be watching on a laptop while aboard a train. The scene shows Burt's character, Ned, clad only in swim trunks as he races a galloping horse along a fence in a field. Armie didn't caption the post, though he apparently scrubbed the rest of his Instagram to make way for the clip, now the only item on his page.

In "The Swimmer," Ned declares one late summer day that he'll "swim his way home" by jumping in the pools of every neighbor on his route. Soon after announcing his plans, he stops to challenge a horse to a race, which he loses. His pool journey soon shows he's alternately loved and despised by people he considered friends. According to Roger Ebert's review, "We learn something about this man's life at every poolside, until finally we are able to piece together a story of his disgrace and failure."

Armie stepped back from public life after multiple women accused him of sexual abuse, in some cases including violent fetishes, in 2021. The scandal triggered a loss of acting work for Armie and a divorce from his wife, Elizabeth Chambers.

Though he was never charged with a crime and has said the relationships were consensual, he admitted in a February 2023 interview that he'd emotionally abused women. He also revealed he was sexually abused as a teenager.

Emmy winner reveals he nearly lost a hand amid health crisis

Michael J. Fox's health has been top of mind since he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991. But a few years ago, he suffered a "tsunami of misfortune" surrounding a different health issue: He was nearly paralyzed, broke his arm and almost lost a hand, he told Town & Country in an interview that debuted online on Nov. 2.

Back in 2018, Michael J. Fox underwent spinal cord surgery to remove a benign tumor that was unrelated to his Parkinson's. The tumor had threatened to paralyze him.

Things didn't get easier from there, though. During his four-month rehabilitation, the "Back to the Future" icon fell in his kitchen one night and broke his arm.

The actor — who always managed to turn lemons into lemonade in his younger years — recalled being in pain on the kitchen floor and saying, "F*** lemonade. I'm out of the lemonade business."

Since that kitchen fall — which he now says was "nothing" — Michael J. Fox has broken his other arm and shoulder, smashed his orbital bone and cheek and broken his hand.

"My hand got infected and then I almost lost it," he told Town & Country. "It was a tsunami of misfortune."

When he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991, Michael J. Fox was told that most patients with the incurable degenerative disease die within 20 years. MJF has defied the odds. When his time does come, though, he won't be afraid.

"One day I'll run out of gas," he said. "One day I'll just say, 'It's not going to happen. I'm not going out today.' If that comes, I'll allow myself that. I'm 62 years old. Certainly, if I were to pass away tomorrow, it would be premature, but it wouldn't be unheard of. And so, no, I don't fear that."

In 2000, Michael J. Fox started the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. His goal was to raise money to help scientists find a cure. Town & Country reports the foundation brought in $199 million in private donations in 2020 and the next year funded $233 million in grants. In the spring of 2023, a study funded primarily by MJF's foundation reported that Parkinson's can now be detected in living people.

"When I was diagnosed, it was like a drunk driving test," Michael said. "Now we can say, 'You have this protein, and we know that you have Parkinson's.' It opens the gates for pharmaceutical companies to come in and say, 'We've got a target and we're going to dump money into it,' and when they dump money into it, good things happen."

In 2021, a romance blossomed between the children of stars who came to fame in the 1990s.

On New Year's Day 2022, Frances Bean Cobain — the daughter of rockers Courtney Love and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain — revealed in an Instagram post that she'd been dating pro skateboarder Riley Hawk, the son of skateboard legend Tony Hawk and Cindy Dunbar, his first wife and high school sweetheart. "I wanted to share a few moments that were captured/created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy, Frances captioned a slideshow of images that included shots of Riley, who commented, "Happy new year my love!"

In October 2023, Frances and Riley tied the knot in Los Angeles in a wedding officiated by her godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe.

Actor Lewis Pullman and actress-musician Rainey Qualley, who performs under the name Rainsford, made their red carpet debut as a couple at the world premiere of his film "Top Gun: Maverick" in San Diego on May 4, 2022.

The couple started dating in September 2020 and seemingly split in 2023.

Lewis is the son of actor Bill Pullman and his wife, dancer Tamara Hurwitz, and Rainey is the daughter of model-actress Andie MacDowell and her ex-husband, model Paul Qualley.

Sean Stewart, who's the son of music star Rod Stewart and model ex-wife Alana Stewart, married another Hollywood scion — "Ocean's Eleven" producer Jerry Weintraub's daughter Jody Weintraub — in Las Vegas hours after proposing during a Valentine's Day dinner in 2023. "Sean asked her while they were out to dinner at Catch. They married shortly after getting their marriage license at 10 p.m. at Little Church of the West," a source close to the couple told People magazine. The former "Sons of Hollywood" reality TV star and Jody, a producer, have known each other since high school. They "share a best friend," the source told People, "which was the reason why they kept reconnecting over the years. They both have famous families, they just get each other." They're "so much alike" and were "born two days apart," the source added.

"Emily in Paris" star Lily Collins, who's the daughter of Genesis rocker Phil Collins and ex-wife Jill Tavelman, married director Charlie McDowell, who's the son of actress Mary Steenburgen and actor ex Malcolm McDowell, in 2021 after more than two years of dating.

On Feb. 14, 2022 — Valentine's Day — Ryder Robinson, who's the son of actress Kate Hudson and The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, took to Instagram to share this since-deleted photo of himself kissing then-girlfriend Iris Apatow, who's the daughter of actress Leslie Mann and filmmaker Judd Apatow. Ryder captioned the pic — which served as the teens' public coming out as a couple — with a simple red heart emoji.

Exactly a year later on Valentine's Day in 2023, Iris took to Instagram to debut her new boyfriend: model and filmmaker Henry Haber. It was the first official confirmation that she and Ryder had called it quits.

A blast from the past! Former "Today" anchor Katie Couric made us want to sing "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" when she dressed as sultry Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" for her old morning show's 2005 Halloween special.

Taking inspiration from real life, "Weekend Today" anchors Lester Holt and Amy Robach dressed as singer Susan Boyle and "Britain's Got Talent" judge Simon Cowell for the 2009 Halloween special. Their costumes were a nod to Susan's jaw-dropping singing audition that went viral that year.

Longtime "Today" show weatherman Al Roker has serious Halloween costume style. For the show's 2005 Halloween special, Al transformed into superhero sidekick Robin and arrived on the scene at Rockefeller Plaza in the Batmobile alongside former anchor Matt Lauer (not pictured), who dressed as Batman.

The theme for the "Today" show's 2008 Halloween special was favorite storybook characters from nursery rhymes and fairy tales. Former anchor Meredith Vieira turned into the beloved wooden boy, Pinocchio, while Hoda Kotb transformed into the woodland's basket-carrying stealth ninja, Little Red Riding Hood.

Kathie Lee Gifford — who retired from "Today" in 2019 — got into the fairy tale spirit back in 2008 as the Big Bad Wolf from "Little Red Riding Hood," but her warm smile made it hard to see her as anyone remotely dangerous.

Is there any costume more amazing than Al Roker as Steve Urkel from "Family Matters"? The "Today" anchors went with a '90s theme for their 2016 Halloween special and that gave Al the inspiration for this hilariously dorky look complete with oversized spectacles and springy red suspenders. He's clearly feeling himself in this pic and we love it.

Here's former "Today" star Tamron Hall dressed as escort Vivian Ward from the 1990 hit movie "Pretty Woman" for the morning show's 2016 Halloween special. We can't get over how amazing Tamron looks in this costume!

For their 2017 Halloween special, the "Today" show went country and y'all, we can't get over how funny Carson Daly and Savannah Guthrie look as musicians Billy Ray Cyrus and Kenny Rogers. The duo walked down a New York City street with Carson carrying a guitar, giving onlookers a huge laugh. Check out Savannah's amazing blue boots! We think Kenny would approve.

Disgraced former "Today" anchor Matt Lauer got in on the country music action when he transformed himself into iconic singer-actress Dolly Parton for the morning show's 2017 Halloween special. Dolly, as it turns out, even had a hand in helping with Matt's costume.

Somehow Al Roker makes a better Willie Nelson than the actual Willie and we're not sure how we feel about that. Al's hilarious folk-country transformation for the 2017 "Today" show Halloween special included Willie's trademark gray braids, beard and headband and relaxed look that says "I'm higher than an airplane right now."

Dressed as the "Peanuts" gang, the broadcasters turned a spooky holiday into one of childhood magic. The 2007 theme for the "Today" show's Halloween special was the iconic comedy series "The Munsters." Former anchor Meredith Vieira looked positively spooktacular as Lily Munster, while we barely recognized Al Roker in that amazing Grandpa Munster costume!

The theme for the "Today" show's 2009 Halloween special was "Star Wars." Natalie Morales took the throne as Queen Amidala, who was played by another Natalie on the big screen — Natalie Portman — in the 1999 reboot of the space saga.

"Today" show besties Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford got into the "Star Wars" swing of things in 2009 with their incredible film-inspired costumes. Hoda's Yoda is movie-screen good while Kathy's C-3P0 looks a little more attainable for the at-home viewer.

Al Roker gave the world his version of Harrison Ford's Han Solo during the "Today" Halloween episode in 2009.

2011's big royal wedding inspired the "Today" show's incredible Halloween theme the same year. We're talking about the nuptials between Prince William and Duchess Kate, who exchanged vows in front of a worldwide audience on April 29 that year. In this fun group pic we have Savannah Guthrie as the father of the groom, Prince Charles, Al Roker as Prince Harry, Natalie Morales as the bride's sister, Pippa Middleton, former anchor Ann Curry as bride Kate Middleton and former anchor Matt Lauer as groom Prince William.

For the "Today" show's 2010 Halloween extravaganza, the staff went pop culture crazy! One of the best costumes of the day was Meredith Vieira's spot-on recreation of Lady Gaga's look at the Grammy Awards that same year. Peep another pop culture hero, Superman (aka Al Roker), in the background!

Can you guess the controversial future president Katie Couric impersonated for the 2004 "Today" show Halloween special? If you guessed Donald Trump, you'd be right. The theme for the year was TV personalities and at the time, Donald was the star of the reality series "The Apprentice." Honorable mentions from the show's costume file that year include Al Roker (not pictured), who dressed as Oprah Winfrey, and Matt Lauer (also not pictured), who channeled hotel heiress-turned-tabloid star Paris Hilton.

From one president to another! On the 2010 Halloween episode of "Today," former host Tamron Hall posed as then-president Barack Obama. The show's theme that year was pop culture favorites, making President Obama a natural costume choice. Tamron even impersonated the pres, saying, "As you can imagine, I'm pretty busy right now, but when I was invited to see the crowd at the 'Today' show, I could not resist… God bless America. Happy Halloween!"
