More bad blood! William Shatner labels 'Star Trek' costars 'bitter and embittered'

William Shatner's relationship with his "Star Trek" costars has been tense and nonexistent for years. In fact, many of them have had no issue publicly criticizing the actor for his behavior on the set of the show, and he now thinks he knows why: publicity.

"Sixty years after some incident they are still on that track. Don't you think that's a little weird? It's like a sickness," he told The Times. "I began to understand that they were doing it for publicity."

Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

It was reported that William and Leonard Nimoy had a strained relationship when the latter passed in 2015; the late Nichelle Nichols, who played lieutenant Ulhura, accused him of being "cold and arrogant," William acknowledged in his memoir "Boldly Go: Reflections on a Life of Awe and Wonder."

Perhaps the largest critic of William is George Takei who starred opposite the Captain James T. Kirk star in the 1960s series. George often jabs at William, even doing so when the Priceline spokesman went to space on billionaire Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin capsule.

"So 90 years old is going to show a great deal more on the wear and tear on the human body, so he'll be a good specimen to study," George tweeted after the flight. "Although he's not the fittest specimen of 90 years old, so he'll be a specimen that's unfit!"

Shortly after seeing the tweet, William said he feels "pity" for his former costar. But, in his new interview, William didn't mince words in speaking George or other costars from the sci-fi show.

"George has never stopped blackening my name," he said. "These people are bitter and embittered. I have run out of patience with them. Why give credence to people consumed by envy and hate?"

Former 'Survivor' winner elected to Kentucky's House of Representatives

Welcome to the political jungle. Nick Wilson, who won the 37th season of "Survivor," can chalk up another victory — he was elected to Kentucky's House of Representatives this week.

CBS via Getty Images

Nick, a republican, ran unopposed in his 82nd district, TMZ noted, making his win far less suspenseful than his days in the Fiji jungle.

The former reality star, who announced last year that he would be running for the seat, first appeared on the long-running CBS show in 2018. He ended up winning the $1 million prize after being crowned the winner of that season, dubbed "David vs. Goliath." The season also featured Mike White, the creator of "White Lotus," and former WWE wrestler John Hennigan.

In 2020, Nick returned to the show for "Winners at War," which pitted him against other champions of the past. He didn't fare as well in that run, ending up in seventh place.

Nick Lachey takes potshot at Jessica Simpson marriage, Twitter unimpressed

Nick Lachey seemed to take a swipe at his marriage to Jessica Simpson during the "Love Is Blind" reunion this week, and it's not sitting right with everyone.

Per TooFab, the 98 Degrees frontman and his wife, Vanessa Lachey, were cohosting the Netflix show's reunion when Nick spoke to contestant Matt Bolton about his marriage to Colleen Reed. Like Nick, Matt had been married once before.

Boston Herald/Shutterstock

"It's always better the second time around," Nick told the contestant while sitting next to Vanessa. After the quip, Matt uttered, "Cheers to that." The two men also fist-bumped.

It's rather apparent that Nick was referring to his four-year marriage to Jessica, but Twitter was not feeling it, as some argued that it was "disrespectful" to bring "The Dukes of Hazzard" star into the conversation.

"Nick Lachey bumping fists with Matt about his first marriage to Jessica Simpson did not sit well with me," one person commented, as other echoed similarly.

Nick famously married the fashion mogul in 2002, and their marriage was chronicled on MTV's "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica." Jessica eventually filed for divorce in 2005, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her memoir, Open Book, she said their marriage started to spiral as the reality show started filming.

In 2011, Nick went on to marry Vanessa, and the couple shares three children. Like Nick, Jessica also remarried, tying the knot with former NFL player Eric Johnson in 2014. Jessica and Eric share three children, as well.

Fans ridicule Madonna as she licks from dog bowl in video

Madonna might be a little too thirsty for attention.

Fans are mocking the Material Girl after she shared an Instagram video that showed her, among other things, getting on all fours and licking water out of a dog bowl. The video, in which she also poses sexually with various products, is set to the song of the Stooges "I Wanna Be Your Dog."

The video begins with Madonna, 64, posing on a motorcycle in a neon green sweater paired with tight booty shorts and above-the-knee boots.

After posting the video, the "Vogue" singer's Instagram followers sounded off, insisting she's ruining her legacy. Many called the video "embarrassing" or "pitiful."

"None of this is thought provoking or 'different.' You lost touch. You used to be ahead of the game. You created it," one person argued. "This is all screaming desperation to stay young or relevant."

Many fans were rather nuanced in their criticism.

"Its so sad to see you destroy the Iconic Madonna Style! Im sorry I have been your fan since I was a kid.. and I just cannot accept this garbage style.. no class.. no elegance you have created for yourself! It has no meaning.. no depth.. this is not Art.. this is you destroying the Iconic Madonna that you created!," one said.

Another wrote, "What have you done to yourself? You do realize a 64 year old woman drinking from a dog's bowl looks ridiculous right?"

Multiple fans noted that they were unfollowing Madonna because they didn't like seeing the icon this way.

"After 40 years of being an artist, your form of visual art went down to licking a dog bowl !!," one fan shared. "If your creatively dried out..let it be.. don't ruin it for your lifetime fans who are used to getting the best out of you… You have no idea how much it hurts to see you so desperate, destroying your legacy."

Aaron Carter's final days revealed as friend describes death scene

Aaron Carter's pal is detailing what it was actually like inside the singer's home in the hours after his death

Gary Madatyan and Melanie Martin, Aaron's on-and-off fiance, were allowed inside the California home after police cleared it. On the surface, everything appeared normal, Gary said, but then he went into the bathroom.

Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

"After they removed the body from the house, they allowed just a few people to get into the house. We just wanted to go in there and see if any blood or any alcohol or anything was in the house," Madatyan told "Entertainment Tonight." "I went to his bedroom. The bedroom was normal. I went to the bathroom where the bathtub was full of water, like, yellowish color."

Gary also said he saw aerosol cans in the house, which furthers the belief that the "I Want Candy" singer was huffing compressed air

"I personally think he was on medication and had fallen asleep in a bathtub … I think it's a tragic accident, because he loved life. He had so many plans," Gary said. "Even though he had mental issues, addiction, he loved life."

The longtime friend insists that he never personally saw Aaron huffing but suspected the crooner was abusing compressed air following a September Instagram Live video in which Aaron seemed to spraying and inhaling something. At the time, Aaron claimed he'd been sober for five years and was "trolling" his followers with an air freshener.

"He looked terrible. He lost so much weight. He was not acting normal. His mind was not there," Gary told ET of Aaron's final days. "I heard he's taking a lot of medication, not specifically illegal drugs, but he was on a lot of medication."

On Nov. 8, TMZ reported that Aaron had been in and out of rehab therapy sessions up until his death. In fact, Aaron missed a session on Friday, Nov. 4, and it's possible he was dead by then. His body was discovered on Nov. 5 by his housekeeper. The webloid added that the singer had stopped the program briefly, but was reinstated last week.

While the singer reportedly had addition issues, it seems that he was trying to get his life on track, as he had just wrapped a pilot for a sitcom called "Group" last month, a show that revolves around group therapy. In it, Aaron played a fictionalized version of himself.

The singer's manager, Taylor Helgeson, also told TMZ that Aaron was working on new music and wanted to mend fences with his family, who he had a complicated relationship with. Aaron, the webloid shared, "planned to use the music to tell them just how much he loves them, especially Nick."

Fran Drescher applauds Disney for dropping vaccine mandates

Fran Drescher, the former "Nanny" actress and SAG-AFTRA president, praised Disney for reportedly axing a requirement that the cast and crew of its American productions be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Deadline said the new decision affects 12 of its shows, including "Grey's Anatomy" and "9-1-1."

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

Fran, who is vaccinated, celebrated the move in an impassioned social media video, which she captioned, "@disney pulls the plug on vaccine mandates! Way to go Mickey!!!!"

"So to think that every human on the planet can take one vaccine is ludicrous," she said. "And to make that one vaccine the criteria for who is allowed to work, travel, dine, go to theatre … is an infringement on the Disabilities Act, the Freedom of Religion Act, and body sovereignty."

Fran, who swings a heavy bat in Hollywood based on her position within the Screen Actors Guild, continued, "We as a nation must be very careful that fear does not turn into fascism. When equal citizens stop being equal, when cards must be presented to identify whether you are included or excluded, we stand at a tipping point of an America I no longer recognize."

The two-time Emmy nominee applauded the Mouse House for "taking the position not to vaccine mandate their sets any longer."

"The problem with discrimination is that there will always be good people who justify it because of an extreme condition" she said, "but it is those times especially when we must fight even harder to protect the sanctity of freedom for all and never succumb to an us-versus-them mentality."

Judge Judy hilariously recalls neighbor Justin Bieber purposely avoiding her

Judge Judy Sheindlin says her former neighbor Justin Bieber was "scared to death" of her during his younger years and claimed that he even took measures to purposely avoid running into each other.

Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock

The infamous TV personality publicly criticized the "Sorry" singer back in 2014 following his DUI. After that, the Biebs decided that crossing paths with the judge was a bad idea.

"He's scared to death of me," she told Access Hollywood. "There was a period of time before he grew up — when he was foolish, and doing foolish things."

She continued, "I must have said something about it, and then, I understood that he was paying the front door people to let them know when I was there, coming and going, so he wouldn't have to bump into me."

Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

Back in 2014, Judy didn't mince words when speaking about Justin.

"Being a celebrity is a gift," she told CBS Los Angeles at the time. "You could either treat it reverently or you could make a fool out of yourself. And he's doing a very good job of making a fool out of himself."

"I think it's sad," she continued, adding, "And nobody's going to remember that he was a marginal singer. But they're going to remember a young kid who had a chance to have it all and who is blowing it by acting like a fool."

Police called to keep the peace as Aaron Carter's fiancé moves out

Melanie Martin, Aaron Carter's on-and-off fiancé, officially moved out of the singer's home on Tuesday, Nov. 8, but she wasn't alone.

According to TMZ, sheriff's deputies were called to the Lancaster, Calif., home to "keep the peace" while Melanie retrieved her belongings. It's not known if Melanie was the person who requested authorities, but the report claimed the call came from a woman.

MediaPunch/Shutterstock

Why someone, possibly Melanie, felt the need for police presence is unclear.

Photos showed several moving trucks parked at Aaron's home, and Melanie was seen wearing a hoodie. Reports said several other people helped her pack and load up the moving trucks.

Authorities have already determined that no crime took place at the home, but Aaron's cause of death hasn't been determined. Evidence seems to suggest that the "I Want Candy" singer died by accident.

KCR/Shutterstock

The crooner's body was discovered in a bathtub on Nov. 5 by his housekeeper. Two days later on Nov. 7, TMZ reported that multiple cans of compressed air were found in Aaron's bedroom and bathroom, leading investigators to believe he may have been huffing before his death. A friend who was allowed into the home after Aaron's body was removed later confirmed that he saw aerosol cans inside the house, which furthers the belief that the 34-year-old was huffing compressed air.

Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

Prescription pills were also allegedly found.

Further, the DailyMail.com reported some disturbing allegations from the day Aaron's body was found, claiming his medically trained neighbors heard a frantic 911 call on a police scanner and ran over to the house to assist before medics or police arrived. However, despite being armed with a defibrillator, the housekeeper — the same one who found Aaron — allegedly denied them entry to the home. The neighbors also claimed the housekeeper initially refused to let sheriff's deputies into the home.

'Crocodile Dundee' actor Paul Hogan, 83, reveals rare health condition has left him 'feeble' and frail

Paul Hogan's health is taking a bite out of his appearance and mental state.

The "Crocodile Dundee" icon told "A Current Affair" that he's losing muscle and weight at a rapid pace due to retroperitoneal fibrosis, a disorder that affects the abdominal cavity via inflammation and extensive scar tissue.

Jasin Boland/Bungalow/Silver Lion/Kobal/Shutterstock

"[I've] been better. I had a problem on the aorta in the kidney and the treatment fixed it, but it shrunk me," he told the TV program. "I just… I've lost all my body fat and the muscles all shrank and the strength hasn't come back, because it left me feeble."

Paul, 83, said his 24-year-old son, Chance, has to open jars for him because he can't muster up the strength to twist lids.

"Quite a few of my friends on diets hate me for it because I try and eat everything fatty and lardy you can think of. Everything they're not allowed to have. I can't put on an ounce," Paul said, adding that prescribed steroids are also not working. "They shrink your muscles and [they're] supposed to make you fat, but I got thinner and thinner and thinner. I'm now in the business of trying to put a bit of fat on… because you feel the cold too much when you've got no body fat."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

The fact that his health is in decline is far from typical for Paul, as he stayed in shape for decades and "maintained" his fitness until he was 79.

"I was still fit. I'd still take out most 40 year olds," he insisted. "And then I turned 80 and it's lovely that saying that 'turning 80 is not for sissies' because things start to fall apart.'

Considering his health issues, Paul said he wants to sell his Venice Beach, Calif., home and return to his native Australia, but he doesn't want to leave his son.

"I'm not in the place I'm meant to be, but I'm not allowed to complain about anything," he said. "I've had such a gifted life. I've had so many wonderful things happen to me without deserving them so I shouldn't complain but, yeah, ideally I'd rather be back in Sydney because I miss the rest of my family there."
