Rod Stewart's son Sean hit by a truck, rushed to hospital

Rod Stewart's eldest son, Sean Stewart, is recovering from a serious car accident in which he was hit by a truck.

Sean, 42, posted a photo to his Instagram Story on Monday that showed him a neck brace, medical face mask and hospital gown.

"I got hit by a truck at a red light," he captioned the image. "Hard out here on these streets."

Page Six said Sean was "rushed to the hospital" after the accident.

On Tuesday, Oct. 25, Sean shared a photo from his bed with his dog by his side, indicating he was no longer at the hospital.

"Still in a lot of pain," he said. "Got my best friend by my side."

The pooch, he added, was his "doggy doctor."

Sean is one of Rod's eight children, and he's fairly most well known, largely due to his appearance on short-lived reality show "Sons of Hollywood" in 2017. Sean was also by his famous father's side during a New Year's Eve scuffle in Florida in 2019.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Rod told police he and his family were trying to get the children in their group access to a private event at the hotel. A security guard resisted, telling Rod and his group that they didn't have access to the area and asked them to leave. Around this time, Sean allegedly got "nose to nose" with the security guard. A skirmish eventually ensued and police said Rod then punched the security guard in his left ribcage area.

Both Rod and Sean eventually pleaded guilty to battery.

Dame Judi Dench has lost her vision, says she doesn't plan to retire from acting

Dame Judi Dench is going blind.

The beloved actress has lost the ability to read, write or see, but retirement isn't in her future, she told Louis Theroux on his upcoming BBC2 show, as reported by The Sun

Asked whether she'll return to a TV or movie set, the Oscar-winning actress deadpanned, "As long as I know there aren't things to fall over."

She added, "I don't want to retire. I'm not doing much at the moment because I can't see. It's bad. But I've got to teach myself a new way of learning."

What Judi lacks in vision, she makes up for with memory.

"I have a photographic memory so a person saying to me, 'This is your line' . . .  I can do that. And I have many people who can help me," she said. "I'll teach myself a way, I know I will. So long as I don't trip over doing it."

The "James Bond" actress, 87, said her lessening eyesight is affecting more than just her career.

"I went to a dinner a few weeks ago, a rather important dinner," she said. "It was so dark that I said to my partner David, who was next to me, 'Have I anything on my plate?' He said, 'Yes'. I said, 'Does it need cutting up? So he said, 'Yes' and I said, 'Would you do it?' He cut it up and handed something to me on a fork and that's the way I ate it."

The movie icon added, "I don't know if I finished it, I don't know what I did. I probably scooped it all up and over the side of the plate for all I know."

Former child star Jennette McCurdy explains why she defended her abusive mom for years

Jennette McCurdy has been candid about the happiness she felt when her "abusive" mother passed away, but she admits that she actually used to defend her mom in therapy sessions.

The "iCarly" alum told Drew Barrymore she often made excuses for how her mom, Debra McCurdy, was treating her.

Chris Pizzello/Invision/AP/Shutt

"Initially when I went to therapy, I did have my mom still on the pedestal and every time, I felt defensive immediately," she said. "Immediately I went into, 'well she did this, but it's because she's such a good mom, it's because she wanted me to be successful, it's because she wanted me to have a better [life]."

At the time, the former actress didn't realize what she was doing.

"I was so defensive, I didn't realize that I was at the time, but in retrospect, I see I was disclaiming every single thing that my mom did instead of just stating the reality or how I felt about it," she continued. "I was more concerned with how to keep my mom looking good than I was with expressing my true emotional reality."

Eventually, she figured out that Debra was "not perfect let alone abusive."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Last August, while promoting her book, "I'm Glad My Mom is Dead," the "Sam & Cat" star told "Good Morning America," "My mom emotionally, mentally, and physically abused me in ways that will forever impact me. She gave me breast and vaginal exams until 17 was years old… When I was 6 years old, she pushed me into a career I didn't want… She taught me an eating disorder when I was 11 years old — an eating disorder that robbed me of my joy and any amount of free-spiritedness that I had. She never told me my father was not my father."

A month later, she went into more detail on "Red Table Talk," reading a cruel letter that her late mom sent her

"'I am so disappointed in you,'" Debra, who passed away in 2013, began the email, which was also included in the book. "'You used to be my perfect little angel, but now you are nothing more than a little … s***, a floozy, all used up…"

In the letter, Debra called Jennette a "liar, conniving, evil" and an "ugly monster." She added, "You look pudgier too. It's clear you're eating your guilt.'"

"I told your brothers about you and they all said they disown you just like I do," she continued. "We want nothing to do with you. Love, Mom — or should I say Deb since I am no longer your mother?"

The letter ends, "P.S. Send money for a new fridge; ours broke.'"

How Ed Sheeran really felt when his James Bond movie theme song was replaced by Billie Eilish's track

Hurt feelings, but no hard feelings.

Back in 2020, Ed Sheeran was tapped to write a theme song for the next James Bond film, "No Time To Time." However, his work was all for naught, as he was replaced by Billie Eilish.

David Fisher/Shutterstock

"They changed directors and then they just changed scripts and that was it. We had done all the meetings, I started writing it," Ed said on "That Peter Crouch Podcast."

Still, despite the song shelving, the hitmaker would be more than willing to give Bond another go.

"Yeah, of course," he added, via Page Six. "I'm not gonna pretend it didn't hurt not doing it, but yeah I would. I think eventually as an English singer you've got to eventually do a Bond song. If they came back I'd be like, 'Yeah, of course.'"

Billie, the youngest artist to ever write a song for the 007 franchise, went on to win the "Best Original Song" Grammy for her "No Time To Die" theme song. She also won the Grammy for "Best Song Written for Visual Media."

'Smash' alum raises $72K to recover family member's bodies from ocean after plane crash

It's been two months since four of her family members were killed in a plane crash in an inlet of the Pacific Ocean, and now Broadway star Megan Hilty is trying to bring them all home.

Via a GoFundMe campaign, the "Smash" alum raised over $72,000 to hire a private company to search for her sister and nephew's bodies in Puget Sound off the Seattle, Washington, coast.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Initially, Megan had hoped to raise $50,000, but donations exceeded that. She plans to donate the excess money to the search and rescue team's foundation so it can help other families look for loved ones, she said.

Megan capped off the campaign after the number hit $72,512 within two days. Donations came in from notable names like Leslie Odom Jr., Katharine McPhee and Rachel Zegler.

"It is difficult to describe the depth of our gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received in such a short time. Because of this generosity, we will be able to start the recovery effort for Lauren, Remy & Luca immediately and hopefully bring some kind of closure to this unbearable tragedy very soon," she said on Instagram. "This tragic loss put us in an impossible situation and, to be very honest, it was incredibly difficult to ask for help."

On Sept. 4, Megan's sister Lauren, her husband, Ross Mickel, and their 2-year-old son, Remy, were aboard a Floatplane when it went down into Puget Sound near Whidbey Island. In all, 10 people died in the crash and there were no survivors.

In the days that followed, the National Transportation and Safety Board brought the plane up, and several victims were recovered, including Ross. Lauren — who was pregnant with her second child who she planned to name Luca — and Remy were not among the bodies retrieved.

In her GoFundMe plea, the "Patsy & Loretta" star said "chances are slim" that Lauren and Remy's bodies will be found, but "there is still a possibility we can find them, and we all agree that at the end of the day, we want to say we did everything we could to bring them home."

It's unclear what caused the plane crash.

James Corden says restaurant drama is 'beneath' him, isn't sorry about behavior

Sorry, not sorry.

After supposedly apologizing "profusely" over his bad behavior at a popular New York City restaurant, James Corden is taking back his mea culpa.

Earl Gibson III/Shutterstock

"I haven't done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this [interview,]" he told a New York Times reporter after the incident at Balthazar. "I was there. I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it's so silly. I just think it's beneath all of us. It's beneath you. It's certainly beneath your publication."

Balthazar owner Keith McNally took to Instagram on Oct. 17, to publicly 86 James from the restaurant, calling the "Late Late Show" host "a tiny Cretin of a man." In fact, the restaurateur said James is "the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago."

The restauranteur went into detail and described several instances in which James was "nasty" to servers and staff, including one episode in which the TV host allegedly berated a server after an omelette wasn't to his wife's liking.

Keith then rescinded the Balthazar ban after James "apologized profusely."

David Fisher/Shutterstock

Ironically, during the interview with the Times which took place at a restaurant, a woman at a nearby table complained about her meal.

"Happens every day," James said. "It's happening in 55,000 restaurants as we speak. It's always about eggs."

Thinking of his own situation, he said, "Can you imagine now, if we just blasted her on Twitter? Would that be fair? This is my point. It's insane."

After James' about face, the owner of Balthazar scolded James on Instagram.

"I've no wish to kick a man when he's down. Especially one who's worth $100 Million, but when James Corden said in yesterday's NY Times that he hadn't done 'anything wrong, on any level,' was he joking? Or was he denying being abusive to my servers? Whatever Corden meant, his implication was clear: he didn't do it," Keith said. "Although I didn't witness the incident, lots of my restaurant's floor staff did. They had nothing to gain by lying. Corden did."

He then had a proposition.

"I wish James Corden would live up to his Almighty initials and come clean. If the supremely talented actor wants to retrieve the respect he had from all his fans (all 4 of them) before this incident, then he should at least admit he did wrong," Keith said. "If he goes one step further and apologizes to the 2 servers he insulted, I'll let him eat for free at Balthazar for the next 10 years."

Taylor Swift ex and RFK grandson Conor Kennedy reveals he secretly fought in Ukraine as part of International Legion and was 'willing to die there'

Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Conor Kennedy has been secretly fighting Russian forces in Ukraine

Conor, the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has returned home safely and is now encouraging others to get involved.

"Like many people, I was deeply moved by what I saw happening in Ukraine over the past year. I wanted to help. When I heard about Ukraine's International Legion, I knew I was going, and I went to the embassy to enlist the next day," Conor, who dated Taylor for four months in 2012, wrote on Instagram.

Conor, 28, said only one person in the United States knew where he was, as he didn't want friends and family to worry about him. In Ukraine, he only identified himself accurately to one person.

"Going in, I had no prior military experience and wasn't a great shot, but I could carry heavy things and learned fast. I was also willing to die there. So they soon agreed to send me to the northeastern front," he said.

Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Conor, who is John F. Kennedy's great-nephew, didn't detail how long he was defending Ukraine against Vladimir Putin's Russian forces, but acknowledged it "wasn't long."

"I saw a lot and I felt a lot," he wrote. "I liked being a soldier, more than I had expected. It is scary. But life is simple, and the rewards for finding courage and doing good are substantial."

Despite knowing the risks, the scion said he would do it all over agin.

"This war, like all others, is horrific. The people I met were the bravest I have ever known. My fellow legionnaires — who came from different countries, backgrounds, ideologies — are true freedom fighters," he continued. "As are the citizens I knew, many of whom have lost everything in their long struggle against oligarchy, and toward a democratic system. They know this isn't a war between equals, it's a revolution."

According to Time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy set up the International Legion in February asking foreigners to help fight Russia. Within a week, 20,000 people from 52 countries signed up, the report said.

Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

The battlefield is a far cry from his day-to-day life, particularly when he was dating the pop star as a teenager. Fans believe that "Begin Again" from Taylor's "Red" album is about him.

"This war will shape the fate of democracy in this century. There's more to say about its politics and the role of western governments there," Conor wrote. "For now, I'll only urge you to help in your personal capacity. Join the legion, help on the border, or send medical supplies. Every day, someone there sacrifices everything for a lasting peace. They can't be asked to act alone."

Famous 'Deal or No Deal' alum backs show after Meghan Markle diss

Former "Deal or No Deal" model Claudia Jordan think Meghan Markle was off base in claiming she was "reduced to a bimbo" during her time on the show.

"I am not bashing Meghan. I am not invalidating her experience. It's sad she felt that way," Claudia told TMZ. "I didn't know she felt like a bimbo because that certainly wasn't the intention of the show. They wanted beautiful women to work on the show, like most television shows and commercials."

Arlene Richie/Shutterstock

The popular NBC game show ran for seven seasons and featured beautiful women opening briefcases for contestants. Megan was a "briefcase girl" during the show's second season.

"There was a a very cookie-cutter idea of what we should look like," she said on her "Archetypes" podcast about her time on the show. "It was solely about beauty and not necessarily about brains." She added, "I ended up quitting the show. I was thankful for the job, but not the way it made me feel, which was: Not smart."

Claudia, a "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum, agreed that there were "brilliant" woman on the show, noting many are now successful business owners and lawyers. However, she feels like she needs to defend the women amid Meghan's criticism of the show. She also took issue with Meghan indicating she was "forced to be all looks and little substance."

"'Forced' is not the right word and I wish she would have chosen her words differently," Claudia said, adding that she's often defended Meghan against the "unfair" media treatment she's endured from the British press.

"She was forced to endure that by being married to a royal family member," Claudia said, "'Deal or No Deal,' that's a bit of a reach."

Chris Jackson WPA Pool/Shutterstock

In her dis of the game show, Meghan said, "I would end up leaving with this pit in my stomach, knowing that I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage."

Claudia implied that Meghan may not have understood the job.

"I wanted to stand up for the other 25 women on the show that I think were brilliant and didn't feel like bimbos," she said. "We knew what [the show] was."
