Wynonna Judd reportedly plans to contest Naomi Judd's will after snubbing

When there's a will, there's a way.

A fight for a portion of Naomi Judd's fortune is likely to begin.

Shortly after Naomi took her own life on April 30, reports indicated the country music legend left daughters Wynonna and Ashley completely out of her will. MailOnline claimed Wynonna is particularly upset about the snubbing, believing she's entitled to at least some of the $25 million fortune.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

"With Wynonna, her mother leaving all of her wealth to Larry sticks in her craw," a source told the British tabloid. "Her feeling is Naomi built her fortune at least partially on the back of Wynonna's own hard work.

Wynonna plans to contest the will, the report said.

"She was the one who was the lead singer of The Judds dating back to the 1980s and took Naomi from working as a nurse to being a star," the source continued. "It was Wynonna's amazing voice that pushed them over the top."

While Wynonna is reportedly willing to take the matter to the courts, Ashley has accepted her late mom's decision.

"Ashley Judd has no problem with her late mother Naomi leaving her entire $25 million fortune to her second husband Larry Strickland," the source told Daily Mail. "With Ashley it's never really been about the money."

Naomi's will requested that husband Larry Strickland have "full authority and discretion" over any property that is an asset to her estate "without the approval of any court" or permission from any beneficiary of the estate.

Legal experts believe Naomi deliberately left the girls out of the will.

"It is common to name the spouse as the executor of a will," said attorney Holly Davis, "but leaving out her daughters seems pointed, like a purposeful act on Naomi's part."

Victoria Beckham and daughter-in-law engaged in 'non-stop petty drama'

Nicola Peltz isn't exactly getting the warmest welcome into the Beckham family due to a "petty" feud with Victoria Beckham, a new report alleges.

Laurent Vu/SIPA/Shutterstock

Page Six seemed to confirm rumors of strife between the two women.

"They can't stand each other and don't talk," a source close to the family told the New York Post's gossip section.

Nicola, 27, only joined the family in April after she married Brooklyn Beckham. Since then, multiple reports imply that the women don't see eye to eye.

"The build-up to the wedding was horrendous," the source said, adding that Nicola, who appeared in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," didn't want the former Spice Girl involved in the wedding planning whatsoever. "She wouldn't clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal."

Nicola apparently feared that Victoria, a world-renowned star, would steal some of her wedding shine.

The "non-stop petty drama" between the in-laws is also having an effect on 23-year-old Brooklyn, 23, the source claimed, adding that Posh was very upset after her eldest son posted a cover of British magazine Tatler that called Nicola "The New Mrs. Beckham."

"[David and Victoria] haven't spoken to him much in the last few months," the source said.

Katharine McPhee says 'woke' voters are making L.A. 'sad'

Los Angeles is in such a "sad state" right now the Katharine McPhee refuses to wear jewelry outside of her house.

The singer has been taking to her Instagram Stories over the last few days to voice her frustration about L.A., which she perceives to be crime-ridden. She also used the opportunity to support mayoral candidate Rick Caruso.

Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock

On Wednesday, July 3, the "American Idol" alum posted a news story about an elderly man getting attacked in Beverly Hills.

"This is literally my worry and thought every time I go out now. We need @rickcarusola," she wrote, adding that it happened in "Bh proper." She added, "What's this world coming to? @streetpeopleofbeverlyhills I blame every single woke voter."

"Seniors getting beat up in [Beverly Hills] while walking. Keep voting for this. What a sad state this city is in," she said.

In following, Kat shared a text conversation with her friend Sara Mann.

"Don't wear your Rolex," Sara told Kat. In response, Katharine wrote, "No rings no watches."

The "Smash" star added, "This is the real life text/convos you have with fam and friends about living in La now. We need @rickcarusola." Katharine then posted a photo of herself seemingly at a restaurant without jewelry.

"No rings watches or anything out in La anymore," she wrote before again throwing her support behind her preferred mayoral candidate.

Melanie Lynskey details being body-shamed during 'Coyote Ugly'

"Yellowjackets" star Melanie Lynskey is getting candid about a body-shaming incident that took place while she filmed the 2000 movie "Coyote Ugly."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

"All the girls had this regimen they had to go on. It was ridiculous," the actress told The Hollywood Reporter. "I was already starving myself and as thin as I could possibly be for this body, and I was still a [size] four."

Melanie, who was 23 years old when she filmed the iconic movie, said one of the crew members was particularly harsh on her and other actresses.

"There were already people putting a lot of Spanx on me in wardrobe fittings and being very disappointed when they saw me, the costume designer being like, 'Nobody told me there would be girls like you,'" she said. "Really intense feedback about my physicality, my body, people doing my makeup and being like, 'I'm just going to help you out by giving you a bit more of a jawline and stuff.' Just the feedback was constantly like, 'You're not beautiful. You're not beautiful.'"

Sara Jaye Weiss/Shutterstock

The costume designer listed in the credits is not the one that disparaged Melanie.

"The costume designer who initially worked on Coyote Ugly left for some reason, & a lovely kind woman named Marlene Stewart took over and she was AWESOME," the actress clarified on Twitter.

She added, "The first person was mean, the person credited was not. And my answer was kind of a jumble – I had experiences with makeup artists offering to help my face look better but that did not happen on Coyote Ugly. The hair and makeup team were amazing and so kind and among the best I've ever worked with."

'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' actress, 76, is a victim of elder abuse, her family claims

Edie McClurg, who famously starred in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and a slew of other films, is being victimized by a man living in her home, the actress' family claims.

CBS via Getty Images

Edie's family said in court paperwork that a man named Michael L. Ramos claims to be a "long time" friend and was attempting to marry her. The family equates it to elder abuse. As the 76-year-old suffers from dementia, the family believes that she might not even be aware of what's happening.

Michael, the court documents claim, managed to "finagle" his way into the actress' life and has been living in her home since 2017. Edie, who is under a conservatorship, has "never been involved [in] a romantic relationship" with Michael, her family insists, but fear that he "has or may be assaulting [Edie] and that she may not even know that it is happening to her."

Michael has denied assaulting or sexually abusing Edie.

A conservatorship judge has previously allowed Michael to live in Edie's California house for "companionship." He is apparently unemployed and doesn't pay rent or expenses.

Court documents show that the judge ordered that Michael "may not enter into a valid marriage" with the "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" star. Amid the judge's decision, the lawyer for the conservatorship is now making moves to get him out of Edie's life altogether.

According to the New York Post, Edie's family initially sought a conservatorship in 2019 after Michael allegedly "tried to influence the handling of her estate by reportedly getting her to sign documents."

Edie has more than 200 acting credits and has voiceover work in "The Little Mermaid," "A Bug's Life," "Cars" and "The Rugrats Movie."

Tom Cruise interrupted couple's hike before parachuting off cliff

Tom Cruise had a funny exchange with an English couple after interrupting their serene day atop a mountain in the United Kingdom to film a stunt.

Just moments before filming the sequence for "Mission: Impossible 7," the actor arrived via helicopter to the top of England's High Crag. After noticing a couple relaxing on the mountain's peak, Tom apologized. After ending the very brief interaction he then paraglided off the cliff.

"Sorry for disturbing your peaceful walk with all the noise — I like your dog," Tom apparently shouted at Sarah Haygarth at the 2,440 foot summit.

Image Press Agency/NurPhoto/Shutterstock

In sharing the moment with The Sun, Sarah recalled Tom getting dropped off and immediately getting his parachute ready, as though he was going to jump off the mountain.

Sarah shouted, "Are you really going to jump off there?," to which Tom nodded and simply replied, "See you later, folks."

Just like that, the "Top Gun" star walked to the edge and jumped.

"He was as cool as a cucumber," Sarah said. Her husband, Jason Haygarth, added, "Before this the most famous person I'd ever met was Richard Madeley. I ended up having a wee stood next to him in the [restroom.] This tops that by a country mile."

Several videos have been posted to social media over the past few days showing Tom paragliding over the area.

Dev Patel breaks up stabbing at Australian gas station

"Slumdog Millionaire" star Dev Patel is being hailed a hero after he helped deescalated a stabbing in Australia.

Reports out of Adelaide, Australia, claim a man and woman got into a heated argument at a gas station. Seeing this, Dev and several witnesses got in the middle of the fight in an attempt to break it up. 7News said the woman stabbed the man in the chest in the midst of the fight before being separated.

David Fisher/Shutterstock

"Dev acted on his natural instinct to try and de-escalate the situation and break up the fight," a rep for the "Lion" star told 7NEWS.com.au. "The group was thankfully successful in doing so, and they remained on site to ensure that the police and eventually the ambulance arrived."

Dev, who's been living in Australia with his girlfriend, stayed at the convenience store to speak to police.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, whereas the woman was arrested.

Although Dev is getting credit for helping in the scary situation, his rep said there are "no heroes."

"This specific incident highlights a larger systemic issue of marginalised members of society not being treated with the dignity and respect they deserve," the rep said. "The hope is that the same level of media attention this story is receiving (solely because Dev, as a famous person, was involved) can be a catalyst for lawmakers to be compassionate in determining long-term solutions to help not only the individuals who were involved but the community at large."

'Yellowstone' star Kevin Costner trends after backing controversial GOP candidate

According to polling, Rep. Liz Cheney's reelection bid for the House of Representatives is an uphill battle, but she has one major Hollywood heavyweight throwing support her way.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the Wyoming congresswoman tweeted out a picture of Kevin Costner rocking a pro-Cheney t-shirt while on the set of "Yellowstone." The white t-shirt read, "I'm for Liz Cheney."

In her caption, Cheney wrote, "Real men put country over party."

Despite her long history as a staunch conservative, Cheney is on the outs with Republicans after being one of 10 party members who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump following the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. She's also the co-chair of the member of the House select committee investigating the attack, in which rioters violently attempted to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden's victory. Throughout the hearings, Cheney has often called out members of her own party for continuing to embrace Trump, opining that the party has largely chosen the former POTUS over America.

Regardless, Cheney's days in Congress appear to be limited, as she trails Trump-backed GOP challenger Harriet Hageman by double-digits in nearly every poll.

Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock

Costner, for that matter, has said in the past that he isn't a down-the-line party voter, describing himself as a firm independent.

"I vote for who I think has the best interests of the country and how we sit in the world," he told the Daily Beast in 2020. "The Democratic Party doesn't represent everything that I think, and neither does the Republican Party right now — at all. So, I find it too limiting."

On Sunday, Mick Jagger's 35-year-old girlfriend shared a series of Instagram images in a skimpy black bikini while relaxing poolside. Melanie didn't reveal her idyllic location, which was nestled in green foliage.

JoJo Siwa clears up confusion over suspicion she hates the word 'lesbian'

Words matter. JoJo Siwa was forced to clarify comments in which she said she doesn't like the word "lesbian."

The YouTube star, who is openly gay, recently told Yahoo! Life that she doesn't like the term. However, in a TikTok video, she insisted that it's a matter of phonetics, not definition.

John Salangsang/Shutterstock

"I never said that lesbian was a dirty word and I never, ever would say that it's a dirty word because it is not," she said on TikTok. "It is not a bad word, it is not a slur, and it is especially not a word that I am ashamed of saying or ashamed of identifying as by any means."

She continued, "I don't hate the word lesbian. Whenever someone talks to me about my sexuality I just say that I'm gay. It's not the word that flows off the tongue for me, if that makes sense."

Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock

After the Yahoo! interview, the "Dance Moms" alum confused her fans after saying "lesbian" is "just like a lot," adding that she feels the word is too often associated with masculinity.

"You can be queer and be girly. I think that's a thing, is a lot of times 'lesbians' are taken to be masculine," she said. "If you're a lesbian you're supposed to be, do you want to be a boy? That's not the case. There are plenty of very feminine lesbians."

JoJo, 19, came out as gay in January 2021. Soon after, she announced that she was dating Kylie Prew. The duo has been off and on since.

The "JoJo Goes" star made news last week after dubbing Candace Cameron Bure the "rudest" celebrity she's ever met, which stems from a denied photo opportunity eight years ago. In a Page Six video, JoJo called it a "rough experience." Since then, the two women have supposedly patched things up. In an Instagram video, the "Full House" star even declared there was "no drama on the JoJo front." But, just hours after Candace's video, her 23-year-old daughter, Natasha Bure, stirred the pot and took a swipe at JoJo.

"Respectfully, someone saying no to taking a photo with you is not a 'rough experience," she wrote on her Instagram Story on Thursday, July 28. "This generation is so sensitive and has zero backbone. Grow up. There are bigger issues in the world than this." She added, "For someone to say that they don't want to take a photo with you or that it's a bad time because they're working is not a 'rough experience.' There are people who are dying in other countries, there are children who are starving. Those people are having a rough experience."
