Oscar winner who's a former child star reveals she 'almost died' after overdose led to stroke and six-week coma, more news

Overdose, coma and stroke revelations

Tatum O'Neal is lucky to be alive — and working hard to stay sober — after a drug overdose nearly killed her in 2020. "I almost died," Tatum, 59, reveals in a new interview published by People on Wednesday, July 5. According to the Oscar winner and her son, Kevin McEnroe, Tatum had been prescribed medications for neck pain, back pain and rheumatoid arthritis prior to the May 2020 overdose. When a friend found her unconscious in her home, she'd overdosed on those meds, along with morphine and opiates. The incident triggered a severe stroke and left her in a coma for six weeks. Once she finally regained consciousness, damage to her brain left her with aphasia, which the Mayo Clinic defines as a disorder that impacts the ability to communicate. "She also had a cardiac arrest and a number of seizures," says Kevin, whose dad is Tatum's ex, the tennis icon John McEnroe. "There were times we didn't think she was going to survive," he recalls, adding that "she had become very isolated" by that point in the Covid pandemic. Because of the aphasia, she "didn't know where she was" when she came out of the coma and "she couldn't say, 'I'm scared.'" She also couldn't see her kids because of Covid safety restrictions during the height of the pandemic.

Since then, Tatum has made impressive progress with both her physical recovery and her sobriety. "I was an addict my whole life," she says, "pretty much on and off, for the past 30 to 40 years." The former child star is now in daily therapy, attending 12-step meetings and continuing to work on recovering her language skills. "Every day I am trying," she says. "I want to be with my beautiful three kids."

Rumor fix

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" stars and real-life spouses Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney are addressing rumors Rob cheated — in terms as hilariously sarcastic terms as their show. On Monday, July 3, Kaitlin shared a Perez Hilton post referencing the Instagram gossip account DeauxMoi's claim she and Rob had "quietly separated after he cheated on her" during a recent visit to Wales.

Flipping the script, Kaitlin wrote: "It was me who had the affair. But it was not with someone from Wales. It was with a whale." She continued: "I've always loved whales. They're the bosses of the ocean and I'm attracted to power. We ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time." Retweeting Kaitlin's post, Rob chimed in, writing: "Sad to admit that the rumor is true. However some of the details are …. Incorrect." Rob and Kaitlin said "I do" in 2008 after meeting on the set of "It's Always Sunny." As for the Wales detail, Rob and Ryan Reynolds purchased Wrexham, the historic soccer club in North Wales, in 2020 for $2.5 million.

Bringing the 'Kenergy'

Director Greta Gerwig recently told Rolling Stone that when she was casting "Barbie," Ryan Gosling was the only Ken she ever imagined as Margot Robbie's leading man. And while her choice initially led to some skepticism on social media, the response to the comedy's latest trailer suggests most fans are feeling Ryan's "Kenergy." The new clip (via the Daily Mail) sees Ken recovering from a surfing injury. "Shredding waves is much more dangerous than people realize," Ken says after being told nothing's broken. Barbie, standing beside him, responds, "You're very brave Ken," earning a puppy dog eyes-look from Ken, who then hilariously reveals what he actually does for a living. "You know surfing isn't even my job, and it is not lifeguard, which is a common misconception," Ken says to the other dolls' surprise. "Actually, my job, it's just 'beach.'" After being assured he's awesome at his beach gig, Ken asks Barbie if he can come to to her house later. "Sure," she says. "I don't have anything planned tonight, just a big giant blow out party with all the Barbies, and planned choreography and a bespoke song. You should stop by!" After the clip surfaced on Twitter this week, fans began predicting Ryan's Ken would "steal the show," with one person swooning over the "little smile" he flashes when Barbie tells him "he's good at beach," and others gushing that they "have to see" the flick despite never having played with Barbies.

In a Rolling Stone interview published Monday, July 3, Greta admits Ken "was only ever Ryan Gosling" to her, "and it was a long journey." Later, she adds, "Who else could do this? It's some combination of Marlon Brando meets Gene Wilder meets John Barrymore meets John Travolta." "Barbie" hits theaters July 21.

Bruce's fault?

Paul McCartney says fans today have unrealistic expectations about how long a concert should last — and he blames the trend on Bruce Springsteen's habit of rocking out onstage for hours. Speaking to Conan O'Brien on a recent edition of the former late-night star's "Needs a Friend" podcast, Paul, 81, harkened back to the Beatles' golden age of the '60s, when a concert bill featured "a lot of people because nobody [played] long" for their set. "These days, pretty much there's the main act and there might be a warm-up act," he said, according to The Independent. "Now, people will do three or four hours. I blame Bruce Springsteen – I've told him so, I said, 'It's your fault,'" the singer continued. "You can't now do an hour. We used to do a half hour. That was The Beatles' thing – half an hour, and we got paid for it. That was it. A Beatles show, we were on and off like that. It didn't seem strange."

Paul's comments about Bruce come after his allegation his former bandmate John Lennon broke up the Beatles. "I didn't instigate the split. That was our Johnny," he told the BBC in 2021. "I am not the person who instigated the split. Oh no, no, no. John walked into a room one day and said I am leaving the Beatles. And he said, 'It's quite thrilling, it's rather like a divorce.' And then we were left to pick up the pieces."

Booze brand defense

After facing criticism for releasing a cocktail brand, Delola, despite her rep as a teetotaler and her marriage to recovering alcoholic Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez defended herself on Instagram this week. "You know what, I know that a lot of people have been talking about, 'Oh, she doesn't even drink, what's she doing with a cocktail out?' And to tell you the truth, for a long time I didn't drink," she said in a video posted on Tuesday, July 4. "Years back, as you will see from several photos of me out, over the past 10, maybe 15 years, I have been, you know, having the occasional cocktail," she continued. "I do enjoy the occasional cocktail. I do drink responsibly, I don't drink to get s*** faced. I drink to be social and to have a nice time and just relax and let loose a bit, but always responsibly."

J.Lo went on to say she'd been unsuccessful in finding a drink she "really loved" over the years. "And so like anything else in my life, I made it myself," she explained. The singer added that because Delola boasts a lower calorie content, "natural flavors" and is gluten-free, it suits her "lifestyle." It's unclear if the post changed many minds, though. "So awkward when she talks about drinking responsibly and not getting s*** faced knowing her husband suffers from alcoholism for years. 🤔," one person wrote in the comments. "Ben is an alcoholic. Not the time to start drinking or starting a vodka business," added another. When J.Lo first announced Delola in April 2023, another critic slammed the venture as "a money grab."

Early prison release

"Smallville" alum Allison Mack was released from federal prison a year early on Monday, July 3, after serving time for her role in the NXIVM cult, Deadline reported Wednesday. Charged with racketeering and racketeering conspiracy for her participation in the organization, Allison was originally sentenced to 36 months behind bars after prosecutors said she recruited and groomed vulnerable women to become sex partners for NXIVM leader Keith Raniere. Her sentence was reportedly short thanks to her help with a sex trafficking case against Keith, who was sentenced in 2020 to 120 years in prison. Before she was sentenced in 2021, Allison called her participation in NXIVM "the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life."

Self-taught style

Tom Cruise learned more than just speed-flying for his seventh turn as Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One." According to his co-star Hayley Atwell, Tom also learned how to handle his own pre-set glam needs while making the movie in 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. "There was, at one point, I think that he was doing his own hair and makeup because we were in the middle of the pandemic," Hayley said at the movie's Sydney, Australia, premiere, on Monday, July 3, per the Evening Standard. "He was moving massive props, just trying to help out to save time," she added. Tom later laughed as he recalled almost giving the movie's stylist "a heart attack" during a Zoom call where he "took the scissors out" and threatened to cut his own hair.

At 61, Tom still loves to film his own stunts, as he did for the latest installment of the spy franchise. In recent interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, Tom's described how he picked up speed-flying — a dangerous and fast combination of paragliding and hang-gliding — and rode a motorcycle off a cliff for the movie.

Celebrities are known for their roller coaster love lives — they fall in and out of love over and over again, sometimes with the same person. We're taking a look back at famous pairs who got back together after very public breakups, starting with this newly reconciled duo…

After months of nastiness, accusations and name-calling, Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann pulled the plug on their divorce in July 2023. TMZ reported that the two have been getting along well in recent days and want to work it out for the sake of their four young children. The former "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star's filing to dismiss her divorce petition came on July 7 — less than a week after she and the former NFL player were seen at church together. The reconciliation between the former Bravo stars, who both filed for divorce in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage, comes after some real vitriol — she accused him of drug use and being a safety risk around their kids, and he accused her of having a gambling problem. Kroy also said Kim needed a psychiatric exam for narcissistic personality disorder. Finances were also a problem for the couple in the lead-up to their split: The reality TV stars reportedly owe more than $1 million in unpaid taxes. The financial claims came several months after Kim and Kroy's Georgia mansion went into foreclosure and was set to be auctioned off. When news of their split emerged in April 2023, there was a deep conflict over who was responsible for their financial problems.

Adam Levine started dating Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo in 2012. They'd been together for about a year when the Maroon 5 frontman ended things. It wasn't long until the singer began a relationship with another Victoria's Secret model, Nina Agdal — but that romance was short-lived. It took dating someone else for Adam to discover "the one" had already been in his life for a few years. "Famous last words, 'I'll never get married,'" he recalled on "The Tonight Show" in 2013. "I still don't necessarily think you have to get married unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it's wonderful." Luckily, Behati felt the same and the two tied the knot in 2014. They've since welcomed three children together.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez started dating in 2001 after meeting on the set of the big-screen comedy "Gigli." They got engaged in 2002 while J.Lo was topping the charts with her hit "Jenny From The Block," which featured a video starring her A-list beau. The two made headlines for their every move as Bennifer, something Vanity Fair at the time called "the first of that sort of tabloid branding." But they called off their 2003 wedding just days before it was set to take place and ended their engagement months later in early 2004. Jennifer later said that Ben's discomfort with the amount of media attention surrounding their relationship was a factor in their split. She called it her "first real heartbreak" in an interview with People magazine and Entertainment Weekly's editorial director in 2016, adding, "I think different time, different thing, who knows what could've happened, but there was a genuine love there." They moved on to respective failed relationships with Jennifer Garner and Marc Anthony, and after Jennifer ended her engagement to another star, retired MLB slugger Alex Rodriguez, in April 2021, it wasn't long before Bennifer was back on. A little more than a year after the pair reunited, they finally tied the knot.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber met at a concert meet-and-greet as kids but didn't spark dating rumors until they reunited years later in 2014. They finally confirmed their romance in 2016 but ended things just a few months later. Justin, who'd ben on and off with singer-actress Selena Gomez for years, moved on with Sofia Richie and, as Hailey later explained to U.K. newspaper The Times, they were no longer on speaking terms. "We went through a long period of time when we weren't friends," she said after they were spotted together again in 2018. "We didn't speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on. We've moved past that." Just one month after giving it another go in the summer of 2018, Justin proposed. A few months after that, they eloped at a courthouse in New York City and then wed a second time the following year in South Carolina surrounded by friends and family.

In January 2023, William Shatner raised eyebrows when he attended the 20th Annual Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Los Angeles with a very special lady on his arm: his ex-wife, Elizabeth Martin. "My wife, she's the zest of life. She brings the flavor," he told The Mirror as they walked the red carpet together. The iconic "Star Trek" actor filed to divorce his fourth wife in late 2019 following nearly two decades of marriage. Per the terms of their prenup, Bill forked over $2 million in spousal support to Elizabeth in their divorce. It's unclear how exactly they found their way back to each other.

Good lucking "keeping up" with how many times these two have broken up and gotten back together… Khloe Kardashian began dating NBA player Tristan Thompson in 2016 and the pair welcomed daughter True in 2018 — just a few days after Tristan was busted cheating on the reality star. The couple powered through the rough patch, remaining together until it was revealed in 2019 that he'd cheated on her again — this time with her sister Kylie Jenner's then-best friend Jordyn Woods. Khloe ended it but in 2020, they reconciled and gave it another go… until 2021, when they once again split in the wake of more cheating allegations. They ultimately welcome a son together during a period of reconciliation but called it quits for good when Tristan welcomed a baby with another woman behind Khloe's back.

Rappers Cardi B and Offset have made headlines for years with their on-and-off relationship that began in early 2017. She spoke to The Fader about how much the Migos performer inspired her, saying, "It's been a blessing, me meeting him and meeting his friends. I see how hard they work and that motivated me to work even harder." The two quietly married later that same year but didn't tell fans, instead perpetuating that they got engaged on stage — until TMZ discovered a marriage license and outed them as Mr. and Mrs. However, it wasn't long before Cardi, who welcomed their first child, daughter Kulture, in 2018, announced on Instagram that she and Offset had separated in the wake of a cheating scandal. But by 2019, they'd gotten back together, making their first red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards, which led fans to believe all was good between them. That is, until the "Up" performer filed for divorce in 2020 … only to call it off one month later. As Cardi told fans during an Instagram Live in 2020, "It's really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it's really hard to have no d***." The couple then welcomed their second child, son Wave. The drama wasn't over. In June 2023, he publicly accused her of cheating, which she denied. They were hand-in-hand in Paris just a couple days later.

Dave Annable and Odette Annable met when she played his love interest on the final season of the hit ABC drama series "Brothers & Sisters." They tied the knot in Ojai, California, in 2010 and welcomed daughter Charlie Mae in 2015. But there were challenges, and the pair announced their separation in 2019. Then something unexpected happened: They reconciled. In 2020, they confirmed the news by posting identical smooching selfies on social media. "2020. It ain't all bad news. #TheAnnables," they wrote in the caption, with Dave playfully adding: "My post is better." They welcomed another daughter in late 2022.

Patrick Dempsey and Jillian Fink met in 1994 when the actor made an appointment at her Los Angeles hair salon. She recalled to People magazine in 2002 that she saw his name in her appointment book and thought it was a joke. They started dating and tied the knot in 1999, later welcoming three children: daughter Talula in 2002 and twin sons Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen in 2007. However, after nearly 16 years of marriage, Jillian filed for divorce in 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. It was a time of tumult — the same year, Patrick left "Grey's Anatomy." But he realized he didn't want his marriage to end and they started counseling. He also began to pull back from one of his favorite hobbies, car racing. "I [learned] to prioritize," he told People magazine. "Our union has to be the priority." They reconciled later that year and called off their divorce in 2016. Patrick later confessed to ES Magazine, "You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed."

Katy Perry began dating Orlando Bloom after they met at a Golden Globe Awards afterparty in 2016. They were together for just over a year when they stunned fans with a statement revealing they were taking time apart. "Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time," they said. Thankfully, their sabbatical was short-lived and the two were spotted at a concert together in a matter of months. The couple has remained strong since then: They got engaged in 2019 and welcomed daughter Daisy Dove in 2020.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade met in 2007 while co-hosting a Super Bowl party and soon became a couple, holding strong until 2013, when they unexpectedly hit a snag. "We kind of took a step back," the retired NBA star said of their break while on "The Tonight Show" that year. But it didn't last long. The pair got back together and were engaged by the end of the year. However, while they were on a break, Dwyane fathered a son, Xavier, with another woman. "At the end of day, we came back together and said, 'Listen, we want to continue this. We want to try to continue to get better each day,'" Dwyane said. The actress told Glamour in 2014 that the breakup was due to "distance and scheduling," as their lives had become too hectic to spend time together, but that "over the summer, I reassessed priories. I'd always wanted an awesome career with back-to-back projects, but I realized I wasn't willing to sacrifice my relationship for it." They went on to tie the knot in 2014. But they didn't make their debut as a couple until a pre-Screen Actors Guild Awards party in 2017, with the "Younger" star explaining to Vogue in 2019 that there "wasn't an instant spark" but that they'd formed a "nice friendship" right away. After only a few months of dating, however, they broke up due to their "busy schedules." By the end of the year, they gave it another shot, with Hilary joking on "The Talk" at the time, "It's going so great. I mean, this is the third time that we've dated." Their reps released a statement to People magazine that said the stars would "remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other." But the breakup didn't last long. Just months after their announcement, Justin told Vanity Fair, "She is the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person, OK? … I would rather not talk about her, because it's hurtful for me." They broke up briefly in 2003 then reconciled, with the singer proposing to Carey during a 2005 race by writing "Will You Marry Me? I'm serious!" on a pit board. The married in 2006 and split two years later, with Pink posting the news on her website, writing, "The most important thing for you all to know is that Carey and I love each other so so much. This breakup is not about cheating, anger, or fighting. I know it sounds like cliché bulls***, but we are best friends, and we will continue to be." However, the pair reconciled and started dating again in 2009. They've been together ever since, welcoming daughter Willow in 2011 and son Jameson in 2016.

According to Robert Lacey's book "Battle of the Brothers," the couple had a fight in 2007 that concluded with William dumping Kate over the phone. Thankfully, the break was short-lived and as William told ITV News shortly after their 2010 engagement, "things worked out for the better." They wed at London's Westminster Abbey in 2011 and soon welcomed three kids: Prince George in 2013, Princess Charlotte in 2015 and Prince Louis in 2018.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met on the set of "Game of Thrones" in 2011 and by 2012, they were dating. They soon split but were back on by 2014, Us Weekly reported. But they waited until 2016 to take their romance public. They announced their engagement in 2017 and got married in Rose's native Scotland the following year. The pair welcomed their first child, a son, in 2021.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey met while she was a host on MTV's hit music video countdown series "Total Request Live" and began dating after she was cast as his love interest in the music video for his 2006 ballad "What's Left of Me." They were together for three years before announcing a split in 2009. The break didn't last long and the couple were back on a few months later. "We're trying to figure things out. I don't pretend to know what the future holds, but everything's good," Nick told Us Weekly at the time. "Vanessa's a good girl, and I care about her a lot." And care he did: The two were engaged by 2010 and wed in the British Virgin Islands in 2011. But their road to the altar wasn't without its bumps. "Right before we got married, we broke up," the "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host said on Betches' "Comments by Celebs" podcast in 2018. "We broke up and we got back together the day before we went off and eloped. Yeah, we eloped. We went to Vegas and got married." JAY-Z was raised by a single mother who publicly came out as a lesbian in 2017. The rapper and businessman said he always knew his mom, Gloria Carter, was gay and cried with happiness when she finally told him the truth about her sexual identity. "Imagine having to live your life as someone else and you think you're protecting your kids. And for my mother to have to live as someone that she wasn't … [she] didn't want to embarrass her kids for all this time. And for her to sit in front of me and say, 'I think I love someone…' I mean, I really cried. That's a real story," Jay said on Netflix's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman."

In July 2023, Jay and wife Beyonce — as well as stars including Tyler Perry, Kelly Rowland, Robin Roberts and Corey Gamble — were there to support Gloria when she married partner Roxanne Wilshire in New York City.

Mandy Moore's mom, Stacy, divorced her father to be with another woman. The "This Is Us" star has said that she loves her "nontraditional," "extraordinarily close" family. "Nobody is hiding who they are. There are no secrets in our lives," the Emmy-nominated actress told People magazine of her mom, who identifies as a lesbian, and her two brothers, who are also gay. "I love and support my mom and my brothers with my whole heart. And nothing makes me happier than seeing anybody live their authentic self, and to choose love. If anyone can find love, I support it, I salute you and I celebrate that."

Wrestler-turned-movie star Dave Bautista's mother, Donna Raye, is gay. "I was always proud of who my mom was because she was always proud of who she was. In your face, f*** you if you don't like it, unapologetically loud and proud. And her son [paid] attention. BE LOUD, BE PROUD, BE YOU," he captioned a Pride Month post on Instagram in 2022, adding hashtags including #ProudSonOfALesbian. During Pride Month in 2019, the former WWE heavyweight champion — who's starred in everything from "Guardians of the Galaxy" to "Dune" to "Glass Onion" — praised his mama, writing on Facebook, "She never apologized for who she was or who she loved. Which is why I never did either. And never will! A strong lesbian raised a strong man … We lived in the Castro during the Harvey Milk years. She volunteered with every bit of strength and heartbroken energy she had with The Names Project. She still volunteers in San Francisco helping the homeless and mentally ill. She is the reason I am who I am. Every decent part of me as a human being is directly because of my mother."

In January 2022, Dave revealed that he had a tattoo of Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao's team logo on his forearm covered up when he learned Manny was a bigot. "I was a part of a team of a person I considered a friend and someone I really looked up to. Then he later came out publicly with some anti-gay statements and turned out to be an extreme homophobe. And so I had a huge issue with it," Dave explained in a tattoo tour video for GQ. "It's a personal issue with me. My mom's a lesbian. And I just could no longer call him a friend. And so I had it covered up."

MSNBC anchor Katy Tur's father is transgender. Zoey Tur — a pioneering helicopter pilot and journalist who famously captured the attack on Reginald Denny during the 1992 Los Angeles riots as well as O.J. Simpson's Bronco chase on the 405 freeway in 1994 — came out as a trans woman in 2013. "My dad said, 'I am a woman.' And I said, 'What? And my dad said, 'I'm a woman. I'm transitioning, I'm going to become a woman,'" Katy shared on "CBS Sunday Morning" in June 2022 while discussing her memoir, "Rough Draft." "And I remember being at first puzzled and saying, 'You gotta be joking. You're kidding, what are you talking about?' And my dad was adamant. 'I'm the wrong person. I'm going to become the right person. Don't you see? This is why I've been so angry.' And it was really just, it was a lot." Katy and Zoey became estranged, but Katy has denied claims it's because of her parent's transition. In her book and on CBS, Katy detailed "fits of anger" that her family endured from an often "abusive" Zoey when Katy was growing up. Zoey acknowledged the outbursts and behavior to CBS, admitting, "Throwing batteries? Probably, yeah. Punching walls? There were a couple. Paul said his late father, actor-dancer Thane Bettany, came out at 63 and entered what would be a 20-year relationship with love Andy Clark after divorcing Paul's theater teacher mother, Anne, following 25 years of marriage. After his partner died in 2015, Thane — who was in his 80s and ultimately passed away just months later — "decided to go back inside the closet and say that it had all been a big misunderstanding because he was a Catholic and concerned about getting past Peter through the pearly gates," the "Avengers" franchise star explained. "The shame he felt for his sexual identity was devastating. He was unable to mourn the person who I think was the love of his life."

Robert De Niro's father, artist Robert De Niro Sr., divorced the actor's mother in 1945 and came out as a gay man. The "Taxi Driver" actor made a documentary about his dad, "Remembering the Artist: Robert De Niro Sr.," to commemorate his legacy. "About his homosexuality? Yeah, he probably was [conflicted], being from that generation, especially from a small town upstate. I was not aware, much, of it. I wish we had spoken about it much more," the two-time Oscar winner told Out Magazine. "My mother didn't want to talk about things in general, and you're not interested when you're a certain age. Again, for my kids, I want them to stop and take a moment and realize that you sometimes have to do things now instead of later, because later may be 20 years from now — and that's too late."

Judy Garland's dad, Frank Gumm, was reportedly gay but was forced to live his life in the closet. Judy later married and divorced Vincente Minnelli, who was also rumored to be gay or bisexual.

Ally Sheedy's mother, literary agent and activist Charlotte Sheedy, came out as a lesbian after divorcing Ally's father, John J. Sheedy Jr., when Ally was 9. "It's difficult for me to understand a family member judging or not loving or accepting another family member because they are gay," the "Breakfast Club" alum told the Windy City Times. Ally's adult son Beckett, who previously identified as queer and gender fluid, is a trans man. Acceptance, Ally has said, all comes down to one question: "Do you love that person or not?"

The late Natasha Richardson and actress Joely Richardson's father, Tony Richardson, was bisexual but never acknowledged it publicly until after he contracted HIV. He died of AIDS-related complications in 1991. In 2011, Joely — whose mom is acclaimed actress Vanessa Redgrave — told The Telegraph, "My father's bisexuality is a foot note if anything, not a headline of what defined his great contribution to the arts."

Natasha Richardson and Joely Richardson's mother, actress Vanessa Redgrave (right), and aunt, actress Lynn Redgrave (left), grew up with a bisexual father, actor-director Michael Redgrave. The thin straps and straight neckline paired with a drop waist and full skirt were just icing on the cake.

You might not realize it… but you've seen (part!) of this dress before! Cate wore the shimmery sequined top portion to the 2023 SAG Awards earlier this year, but we much prefer this pairing. Let's take a closer look at the colorful geometric print she wore underneath…

We much prefer the subtle pop of color this pretty Armani Prive print brought to the look, which included shades of gold, periwinkle, emerald green and pink.

It was the middle of June so we'd like to know why Gabrielle Union thought a floor-length coat was a good option! The star arrived for an appearance on "Good Morning America" in New York City on June 13 in head-to-toe wool Michael Kors — a gray duster over a sweater dress that looked much more appropriate for fall or winter. Making matters worse? That massive medallion she wore around her neck… which was also plucked right from the runway along with the other elements of this look. Next!

A look we adored from the "Asteroid City" premiere in New York City on June 13? This one from Margot Robbie, who took a break from Barbie pink for the occasion. The star arrived in a darling Schiaparelli black-and-white minidress with a sweetheart neckline and a velvet corset and peplum detail that flowed into a pleated white skirt. Black pointy-toe pumps rounded out the great ensemble.

From the color to the draping to the delicate pleating, we're still daydreaming about the perfect summer selection Nicky Hilton Rothschild wore to the Max Mara Cruise 2024 fashion show in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 11. We loved every inch of it from the high neck to the floor-length skirt to the way she accessorized with a pale metallic clutch.

A floral jumpsuit? Sign us up! Jessica Chastain sported this stunning strapless Oscar de la Renta selection with floral and butterfly embellishments at the premiere of "The Flash" in Los Angeles on June 12. The wide-legged trousers were an interesting element, making this look feel like a breath of fresh floral air.

Diane Kruger wowed at the 2023 The Fragrance Foundation Awards in New York City on June 15 in this sweet and unexpectedly fabulous pairing of tan and vibrant red. The Jason Wu ensemble was comprised of a cheery red blazer with just a glimpse of a tan high-necked lace minidress underneath. The actress finished it expertly with a pair of strappy tan sandals.

Who's that girl? You can't tell, but there's an Academy Award winner in this incognito look. It's Jennifer Lawrence under that blue Polo baseball hat, which she paired with a white T-shirt and baggy navy trousers from The Row. Casual Pierre Hardy sandals and Dior sunglasses finished up this low-key look she donned in New York City on June 21.

While we appreciated the variation on the two-piece trend, La La Anthony's lime green design still underwhelmed at the premiere of "The Perfect Find" during the Tribeca Festival in New York City on June 14. Though it wasn't a crop top and low-waisted skirt pairing, the design utilized sheer mesh down the bodice to give a similar skin-baring vibe that we weren't wild about.

Floral! Lace! Ruffles! This Erdem dress Felicity Jones wore to the National Gallery Summer Party in London on June 15 had it all, and we loved every inch of it. From the high neck to the beaded flower details to the sweet pleating and ruffled tiers of lace, this midi-length frock was a hit.

You might have had a little deja vu when you saw Calista Flockhart at the "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" premiere in Los Angeles on June 14. That's because she wore the same yellow Ralph Lauren skirt she first rocked at the 1999 Emmy Awards 24 years ago! But we didn't like the styling as much this time around. Back then, the "Ally McBeal" actress wore it with a tied-up white button-down shirt. This time, the star paired it with an off-the-shoulder black top for a more contrasting look.

It's surprising, but the sleeveless black frock Katie Holmes wore to the American Ballet Theater's June Gala premiere of "Like Water for Chocolate" in New York City on June 22 was by Chloe. The crochet-style design included a see-through pattern at the waist and down the skirt for a more laid-back and casual vibe that we're not sure was red carpet worthy.

At first glance, we thought the slinky gold gown Vanessa Kirby wore to the "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1" film premiere in Rome on June 19 was iconic Versace chainmail. But a closer look revealed it was actually shimmery crystal embellishments atop a pretty pale gold fabric from Miu Miu.

Leave it to Julia Fox to don a completely sheer mint green jumpsuit. The star stepped out in this disastrous and daring look while shopping in New York City on June 12, topping it with a denim coat, denim heels and a pair of pink-lensed glasses.

While promoting her latest flick, "No Hard Feelings," Jennifer Lawrence has served up some polarizing looks, but this blazer-style minidress from Givenchy was one we could definitely get behind. The A-lister rocked it at the premiere in Berlin, Germany, on June 15 with a sheer blouse underneath and pointy-toe pumps for a new twist on sans-shirt styling.

Eva Longoria looked cool and comfortable while stopping by "The View" in New York City on June 12. The actress donned this pale pink silk pantsuit — complete with wide-legged trousers — with a blouse in the same hue for a monochromatic moment that looked easy and breezy enough for summer.

Nicky Hilton Rothschild showed us there's such a thing as too much yellow when she wore this dress to the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet Pride Event in New York City on June 14. Though we loved most of the socialite's looks this month, this tiered and layered frothy pick felt like overkill. It didn't help that she paired it with equally bold jewelry, adding massive turquoise pieces to the mix.

Emilia Clarke continued the floral dress trend, stunning in a midi-length Emilia Wickstead design featuring a strapless silhouette and a pretty red rose print at the "Secret Invasion" screening in Los Angeles on June 13… so much so that we'll excuse the underwhelming PVC pumps she paired it with.

The Loewe dress that Jennifer Lawrence wore at her "No Hard Feelings" premiere in Madrid on June 14 was a polarizing pick. The Academy Award winner's structural midi-length frock included a dramatically pronounced sweetheart neckline and a column-style silhouette in a shade that nearly matched her skin tone. The odd piece may have been helped by a pop of color or fun shoe, but simple black sandals and a red lip didn't salvage this one.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori, whom he married in a reportedly non-legally binding ceremony in early 2023, showed off some funky fashion ahead of church services in Los Angeles on June 4. Ye sported a shoulder-padded T-shirt, leggings and sock shoes. Bianca rocked an even wilder combo — a stocking-type dress with a flattened tubular shape around the neck that the internet compared to everything from a spare tire to a condom. Heeled ankle boots completed her bizarre church ensemble.

Hailee Steinfeld stunned at a screening of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" in London on June 2 in this unique silhouette by Blumarine. From the long bell sleeves to the sleek fit that culminated in a tiny train, this frock felt fresh and fun on the young star.

The star topped her sweet knee-length floral frock with a mismatched pattern — a swirly pastel-print cropped jacket — and pink pumps we could definitely see being worn on vintage "Sex and the City" episodes.

Kristen Stewart was on hand for Chanel's Metiers d'art Collection event in Tokyo on June 1 sporting a set of summer-ready white coordinates. We liked the tank top and miniskirt combo… but she lost us with the addition of socks and platform sandals, ruining the warmer weather vibe.

Rita Ora's mismatched Versace coordinates missed the mark at the Australia premiere of "The New Boy" at the Sydney Film Festival on June 7. The singer donned a tweed cropped jacket from the fashion house and a plaid miniskirt, completing her look with a pair of leather platform Mary Janes — and we weren't wild about any of it.

Remember the show "Bosom Buddies"? Did you catch the first run of the TV movie "Mazes and Monsters"? Tom Hanks, who starred in both of those for-the-ages projects, long ago went on to become a certified A-list talent. In celebration of his 67th birthday on July 9, 2023, we're taking a look back at some historical photos of the biggest — and most likable — Hollywood movie star in history.

Tom Hanks hasn't always been married to Rita Wilson: He wed actress Samantha Lewes in 1978 before he made it big (they're seen together here in 1983) but by 1987, they were divorced. They had two kids together: actor Colin Hanks and writer Elizabeth Hanks. Samantha lost her battle with bone cancer in 2002.

"Bosom Buddies," a sitcom with a shaky premise (cross-dressing to get cheap rent!), only lasted a couple seasons, but if you go back and watch it now, you can see Tom Hanks brimming with potential. He landed that role in 1980, and it wouldn't take Hollywood long to figure out that he could be way more than a sitcom cut-up.

In 1984, Tom Hanks starred opposite sexy mermaid Daryl Hannah in "Splash." The comedy was a big hit, and Tom proved he had a rare talent — the ability to play a normal guy who's also a leading man. Who also gets the super-beautiful mermaid.

Tom Hanks is seen here with Jared Rushton, the young actor who played his best friend in the 1988 movie "Big." This was another huge hit, not to mention a timeless film, and Tom scored his first Oscar nomination for his performance in the flick. Nobody plays a giant kid better than Tom Hanks. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who met on the set of "Bosom Buddies" and co-starred in 1985's "Volunteers," are seen here at the 1987 AMPAS Governors Ball following the Oscars. They tied the knot in 1988, welcomed sons Chester and Truman and are still going strong!

Tom Hanks proved his dramatic chops playing a gay attorney with AIDS in 1993's "Philadelphia." Here he is hoisting the Oscar he received for that performance. Of course, that would be far from his last award.

Let's not forget that in 1993, Tom Hanks also starred in a little charmer called "Sleepless in Seattle" alongside Meg Ryan. Here he is with co-star Rob Reiner.

Run, Forrest, run! In 1994, Tom Hanks starred in the epic drama "Forrest Gump" — and scored another Academy Award for his performance the following year. The win was remarkable in that it made him only the second actor, after Spencer Tracy, to win back-to-back Oscars.

Next up, Tom Hanks starred as astronaut Jim Lovell in 1995's "Apollo 13." The movie was a huge box office success, grossing more than $355 million on a $30 million budget. "Apollo 13" was also nominated for nine Academy Awards including best picture. It ultimately won for best film editing and best sound.

Also in 1995, Tom Hanks starred in one of the most popular animated films of all time — "Toy Story" — voicing Sheriff Woody. The movie went on to earn more than $373 million at the worldwide box office and three Academy Award nominations (including best original screenplay) and spawn multiple successful sequels.

In 1996, Tom Hanks co-starred alongside Johnathon Schaech, Liv Tyler, Ethan Embry, Tom Everett Scott and Steve Zahn in the "That Thing You Do!" The comedic movie, which tells the story of the rapid rise and fall of a fictional 1960s pop band, marked Tom's writing and directorial debut.

In July 1998, Tom Hanks was honored with a hand and footprint ceremony outside Hollywood's famed Chinese Theatre. Wife Rita Wilson was by his side.

Tom Hanks earned his fourth best actor Academy Award nomination for his work in 1998's "Saving Private Ryan." Tom starred as a WWII Army Rangers captain leading his squad to find a paratrooper who's the last living brother of four soldiers. The heartfelt Steven Spielberg film — one of the best war movies ever made — was also a box office hit, earning $481 million worldwide.

A few months after 1998's "Saving Private Ryan" hit theaters, Tom Hanks re-teamed with Meg Ryan for the December 1998 rom-com "You've Got Mail." It would mark the pair's third of four on-screen collaborations.

Tom Hanks lost 50 pounds to play a FedEx engineer who's stranded on an uninhabited island in the South Pacific following a plane crash in the 2000 movie "Cast Away" directed by Robert Zemeckis. Tom earned his fifth Oscar nomination for his work in the flick.

In 2002, Tom Hanks became the youngest ever recipient of AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented to him by Steven Spielberg.

Tom Hanks clutched the two trophies he won — for directing and producing the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers" — alongside collaborator Steven Spielberg at the Emmy Awards in 2002. Over the course of his career, Tom's won seven Primetime Emmys for his work making projects that also include "From the Earth to the Moon," "John Adams" and "The Pacific."

In 2006, Tom Hanks starred with Audrey Tautou in "The Da Vinci Code" — they're seen here together at the Cannes Film Festival that year. The movie made $758 million at the worldwide box office, but we can't quit staring at Tom's hair.

In 2008, Tom Hanks co-starred with son Colin Hanks in "The Great Buck Howard." Here they are together at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Three years later in 2011, Tom became a first-time grandma when Colin and wife Samantha Bryant welcomed daughter Olivia Jane.

In 2010, Tom Hanks reprised his role as Sheriff Woody in the critically acclaimed "Toy Story 3" (he's seen here at its premiere). The film was the first animated movie to cross the $1 billion mark and was the highest grossing animated film of all time until it was surpassed by "Frozen" in 2014.

For his performance, Tom earned Oscar, Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for best supporting actor.

In 2020, Tom Hanks starred in the war drama "Greyhound," for which he also wrote the screenplay. (This was the fourth film Tom had written.) The movie, which takes place during the Battle of the Atlantic in early 1942, is based on C.S. Forester's 1956 novel "The Good Shepherd." It received an Oscar nomination for best sound.

While he didn't take home the Golden Globe for best supporting actor in 2020, Tom Hanks didn't go home empty handed! The talented "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" actor was the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award, a Golden Globe Award given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that recognizes "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment."

In 2021, Tom Hanks starred in the post-apocalyptic drama "Finch" for Apple TV+. While the film received mixed reviews from critics, Tom was praised for his performance as the titular robotics engineer. He's seen here alongside his robot co-star, Jeff, at the movie's premiere.

In 2022, Tom Hanks starred as Col. Tom Parker, Elvis Presley's manager, in the hit Baz Luhrmann movie "Elvis." In May 2023, Tom Hanks received an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Harvard University. The star also gave the commencement speech to that year's graduating class while accepting his honor. During the festivities, he was presented with a Harvard volleyball as a nod to his role in "Cast Away."

Tom Hanks portrayed Harvard University professor Robert Langdon — who sets out to solve the mystery of an ancient secret society — for the first time in 2006's "The Da Vinci Code." For the movie that kicked off a franchise based on author Dan Brown's bestselling books, Tom sported longish hair that many fans likened to a wavy mullet.

In 2022's "Elvis," Tom Hanks took on the role of Tom Parker, Elvis Presley's legendary manager. For the Baz Luhrmann flick, the actor had to shave his head and undergo hours in the prosthetics chair, resulting in an uncanny resemblance to the historical music figure.

When it came time to reprise his role as Harvard professor Robert Langdon in "Inferno" — the sequel to "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons" — Tom Hanks stepped back into his old suits as he harnessed his problem-solving skills… but this time, fortunately, there was no mullet!

In the 2019 biopic "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood," Tom Hanks transformed into beloved cardigan-wearing children's show host Mr. Rogers. The performance earned Tom a well-deserved best actor nod at the 2020 Academy Awards.

In one of his most iconic roles, Tom Hanks played Chuck Noland in 2000's "Cast Away." For the part that saw him stuck on a deserted island with a volleyball named Wilson, Tom lost and regained 53 pounds in order to pull off the before-and-after versions of his character. He also had to grow a big beard.

In 2016's "Sully," Tom Hanks took on the role — and the look — of real-life hero Chesley Sullenberger, the former U.S. Airways pilot who managed to land his plane in the Hudson River and save the flight's passengers and crew in 2009.

Tom Hanks, is that you? In 2012's "Cloud Atlas," Tom played many roles and took on many different looks. He was Dr. Henry Goose, the hotel manager, Dermot Hoggins, Zachry and Issac Sachs — a nuclear engineer, seen here. In order to play him, Tom not only needed a lab coat but a red-haired wig and gold-frame glasses.

In "Cloud Atlas," Tom Hanks looked like a completely new man as he played Dermot Hoggins. For this character, Tom was bald with sideburns and an overly groomed goatee. The diamonds in his ears completed his thuggish look.

Tom Hanks won the Academy Award for best actor for his portrayal of Andrew Beckett in the 1993 film "Philadelphia." Andrew was a lawyer who hid from his law firm that he was homosexual and living with AIDS — and got fired. After he was dismissed, Andrew sued the firm. In order to play the part, Tom had to dye his hair gray and slim down.

Tom Hanks played Walt Disney in the 2013 period drama "Saving Mr. Banks." In order to look like Walt, Tom sported a mustache and slicked-back hair that aged him. Like Walt, he also donned suits with pocket squares.

Tom Hanks played Professor G.H. Dorr in 2004's "The Ladykillers," and he made the mastermind of a casino heist come to life when he altered his physical appearance for the role. With his hair curled in the middle of his forehead and a goatee, Tom looked like a calculating professor. His look was completed with a beige suit and matching bow tie.

In 2002's "Catch Me If You Can," Tom Hanks played Carl Hanratty, the head of the FBI's check fraud division. Tom looked period perfect in the '60s-set flick thanks to a fedora, retro half-frame eyeglasses and a vintage-style suit.

"Run, Forrest, run!" In one of his most famous roles, Tom Hanks played the titular hero in the 1994 drama "Forrest Gump." Forrest was a Southern gentleman who served in the U.S. Army — among many other interesting jobs. While he wasn't the most intelligent of men, he was incredibly endearing. In order to play the part, Tom sported a clean-cut look with a military-style buzz cut. His movie wardrobe consisted of plaid shirts and khakis for much of the film.

Tom Hanks not only wrote and directed "That Thing You Do!" but portrayed Mr. White in the 1996 movie. Mr. White was a Tone Records A&R representative who made stars of the band The Wonders. To get into character, Tom rocked sunglasses and looked very suave in his black suits.

With unkempt hair, a messed-up gray suit and Converse sneakers, a young Tom Hanks looked like a believable bachelor as he played Rick Gassko, an engaged man facing temptation to cheat on his fiancée, in 1984's "Bachelor Party."

In the 1998 war drama "Saving Private Ryan," Tom Hanks played Captain John H. Miller. For the role as a rugged U.S. Army officer, Tom sported scruff and a dirtied-up look in the trenches.

Tom Hanks starred as hitman Michael Sullivan in the 2002 crime drama "Road to Perdition." His 1930s criminal character came to life with the help of a mustache, a trench coat and a wide-brimmed hat.

Tom Hanks played the part of Commander Jim Lovell in 1995's "Apollo 13." For the role, he had short hair and stubble on his face. The detailed suit and headset made him look ready to survive in space.

When Tom Hanks played Captain Richard Phillips in the 2013 drama "Captain Phillips," he put on a little bit of weight, but most notably, his face looked different. With a gray goatee and wire-framed glasses, he looked like the real-life Richard. "Captain Phillips" was based on the true story of the 2009 hijacking of the United States container ship Maersk Alabama by a crew of Somali pirates.

Tom Hanks was 32 when "The 'Burbs" came out in 1989. For his role as suspicious neighbor Ray Peterson in the comedy-thriller, Tom grew out his big, curly hair.

Tom Hanks starred as Joe Banks alongside Meg Ryan in 1990's "Joe Versus the Volcano." Joe worked a clerical job in a factory with a demanding boss and suffered from a "brain cloud." Just one year after his hair was super curly in "The 'Burbs," Tom sported a long and wavy mane for the role of Joe.

In order to prepare for the role of baseball coach Jimmy Dugan in 1992's "A League of Their Own," Tom Hanks put on 28 pounds. In 2013, Tom spoke about how he won't be gaining weight for a role again after he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. "I'm 57 and I don't think I'm going to take on any job or go on vacation again and see to it that I can gain 30 pounds," he told The Guardian.

In 2007's "Charlie Wilson's War," Tom Hanks played the titular naval officer and former 12-term Democratic U.S. Representative from the 2nd district in Texas. As Charlie opposite Julia Roberts, Tom wore a white tuxedo and a side-slicked hairstyle. When he wasn't dressed up formally, he wore suspenders and ties and looked very conservative.

In 2020's World War II-set drama "Greyhound" — which he also wrote — Tom Hanks slipped on a uniform and transformed into U.S. Navy Commander Ernest Krause. While the character was fictitious, the film was actually inspired by true events.

"Obviously, I believe that's fine," he said on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. Stanley, who is straight, played gay characters in the 2006's "The Devil Wears Prada" and 2020's "Supernova." "I am always very flattered when gay men come up to me and talk about [my role in] The Devil Wears Prada or they talk about Supernova, and they say that, 'It was just so beautiful,' you know, 'You did it the right way," he said. "Because often it's not done the right way." In weighing on the hot-button topic, the "Hunger Games" star said actors are malleable and able to play different characters. "An actor is an actor is an actor," he protested. "You are supposed to play different people. You just are. That's the whole point of it."

Responding to rash of concert incidents

Try and die? While bemoaning a recent lack of concert etiquette, Adele issued a threat to fans who attempt to throw things on stage. During her Las Vegas residency show, the Grammy winner asked, "Have you noticed how people are forgetting f****** show etiquette at the moment and just throwing s*** onstage? Have you seen that?" Just last week, Bebe Rexha required stitches after a fan threw a cell phone at her face during a show; a few days later Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face with a rogue, airborne bracelet; in London, a fan tossed her mother's ashes on stage while Pink performed; over the past weekend, a sex toy was chucked at Lil Nas X. Adele wasn't about to suffer the same fate. "I f****** dare you, I dare you to throw something at me," she told her crowd. "I'll f****** kill you." Adele means business!

Home situation

He's had enough. Kevin Costner's estranged wife has overstayed her welcome in their family home and he wants her out by next week, new court documents state. Although a prenuptial agreement requires Christine Baumgartner to vacate the property within 30 days of a split, she has refused. The "Yellowstone" star's lawyers said Christine "grasps at straws with one baseless argument after another," which prevents the actor from residing solo in the home. The documents, obtained by People, said Kevin "respectfully requests that Christine be ordered to vacate his separate property residence forthwith and no later than July 13, 2023." The way Kevin sees it, he's just giving his ex what she wants, as she's the one who filed for divorce in early May. "For Kevin, it's pretty cut-and-dried," an insider told Us Weekly recently. "Christine wanted this split, so she should abide by the terms of their prenup [stating that she] had 30 days to move out after filing for divorce. This could be a bitter court battle. Kevin's a man of strong conviction and stubborn to the bone."

Scary night

Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark rushed her 2-year-old daughter to the ER after a scary medical emergency. The former "Vanderpump Rules" stars posted a video of Hartford Charlie Rose, 2, breathing heavy while sleeping. "Took her to the ER around 6:00 am. She has some breathing issues, possibly high asthma and lots of mucus in her lungs and a high fever," Beau posted on Instagram. "She's on her second 'breathing face thing machine,' with something that will open her lungs up more. Now we're just waiting, hoping this works the second time." After six hours at the hospital, the family returned home. "Her little belly breathing is what everyone was worried about," he explained. "So she's going to be on albuterol for the next two days with this breathing thing. But we might have to go back again tonight if she gets worse again." Stassi echoed much of her husband's statement while posting about their daughter, too, penning that it was a "long scary day at the hospital." The tot is "such a little solder," Stassi said on her Instagram Story.

Unsupportive parent

Michael Jordan is hoping his son's romance with Larsa Pippen is in the fourth quarter and nearly over. Marcus Jordan, 32, began dating the "Real Housewives of Miami" star, 48, earlier this year. The romance caught much attention because of both the age difference and because Larsa was previously married to Michael Jordan's longtime teammate Scottie Pippen. On July 2, a photographer saw Michael and asked whether he approves of his son's relationship with Larsa. The basketball great and former team owner gave a one word, easy-to-comprehend answer. "No," he replied. Interestingly, just last month Marcus told Us Weekly that his family was coming around on the romance. "They're warming up to it," he said. On the heels of Kyle Richards' separation from her husband of 27 years, fans are wondering if the reality TV star's relationship with country singer Morgan Wade played a role. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously," the duo said. People magazine reports that Kyle and Mauricio are still living together in the same home.

Star wrestler says he's 6 months sober after adopting major lifestyle changes

After years and years of pain and surgeries, Hulk Hogan finally got a stranglehold on his health.

While speaking to Men's Health for a "Gym & Fridge" video, the Hulkster recalled drinking "three Miller Lites and [taking] two Tylenols" before nearly every wrestling match of his career. After the post was over, his "meal" consisted of "probably 12 Miller Lites."

He's now six months sober and doesn't even take Tylenol.

"I don't drink alcohol at all," he revealed. "I just got tired of it. It got to be a way to numb me a little bit, because I had a bunch of crazy business problems and personal stuff going on. And I caught myself after I would train, getting too aggressive once again with alcohol. So I just had to stop it."

Hulk, 69, limits himself to water and organic, dairy-free food, a diet he's maintained for a few years. Since making the lifestyle change, he's lost 40 pounds.

"About 15 years ago my body kinda shut down on me. I had several knee surgeries, and then after wrestling 40 years almost, my body shut down on me," he said. "I went in for one back surgery and it was turned into 10 back surgeries. Both knees needed to be replaced. Both hips were replaced. A couple surgeries on my face from getting my orbital socket broken a couple times. And it ended up being 25 or 26 surgeries, or a couple more, over a 10- or 12-year period."

He added, "So it changed the game on me. It made everything different for me. And I changed my whole lifestyle because at the time, being in so much pain and getting older and older I couldn't carry that much weight. When you are sedentary and not wrestling or moving every night, it's easy to put weight on. So, I decided to drop weight and get down to about 265. Actually, the last time I weighed 265 was in ninth grade."

While the surgeries have corrected his health issues, Hulk still likes to feel a little pain from time to time.

"I feel great ya know," he told the outlet. "Without all the other extra stuff, you actually feel alive, because a little bit of pain makes you know you are alive."

Madonna's health is doing her no favors. When the pop star announced her 84-date global "Celebration" world tour earlier this year, she promised to give fans "the show they have been waiting for." It seems very likely that her fans are going to have to wait a little longer amid Madonna's recent health emergency. Page Six reported that the pop music icon was found unresponsive on June 24 and was subsequently rushed to a New York City hospital. There, she was reportedly intubated in the intensive care unit "for at least one night before having the tube removed." The report noted that the pop star was alert, responding and no longer in the ICU. On the heels of the health crisis, the "Celebration" tour was put on pause until further notice (a call that was not made by Madonna). In fact, she's still consumed by "Celebration" and has reportedly "rejected a proposal to scale back on the tour."

On July 5, TMZ reported that the "Like a Virgin" singer isn't exactly making leaps and bounds in her recovery. She's said to still be "weak and very tired" and spending a significant amount of time in bed.

There's growing suspicion that Madonna was basically trying to defy Father Time before her "Celebration" world tour. Sources close to the singer said she's been eyeing the successful tours of Taylor Swift and Pink and hoping to compete. "She is the one constantly pushing herself, but she has to realize that, while she is as good as the people she is working with, many of them are a fraction of her age and without her history of injuries," one of the 64-year-old star's friends told Page Six. "Of course, there are other acts older than her still on the road, but they aren't dancing and performing like she does."

There's a report that Madge was even in the studio with Katy Perry the same day she fell ill and collapsed. "She was working overtime, but she clearly burnt herself out and people around her have been politely reminding her that she is not 45 anymore, let alone 25. She needed to pace herself. Pushing herself so hard was extremely risky," a source told The Sun on July 2. "Many of us feel the constant remarks about her age have put pressure on her to compete, so we are relieved that she has been forced to take time out and put her health first. People were really worried about her." Still, a source told Page Six that Madonna remains totally absorbed with the tour and has already "rejected a proposal to scale back on the tour."

Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, confirmed her hospitalization but shied away from discussing the alleged intubation. "On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU," he shared in an Instagram post. "Her health is improving however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected." He added, "At his time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."

On June 29, CNN reported that Madonna had been discharged from the hospital and had been transported to her New York City home via a private ambulance. "She's in the clear," the source told CNN. According to reports, Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon, was by her mom's side throughout the medical incident. Similarly, several of Madonna's six children have been photographed visiting the home over the past few days. Page Six noted that a police escort was seen outside the singer's property.

While several friends are painting a hopeful picture of Madonna amid her recent hospitalization for a serious bacterial infection, TMZ says the pop star is far from out of the woods. In fact, the webloid said she's still bedridden and "vomiting uncontrollably." Still, Madonna fought against visiting with medical professionals despite her collapse last weekend. The webloid says Madonna's assistant was with her when she became unresponsive that fateful day. Her vomiting began immediately and hasn't really subsided. The infection is still "wreaking havoc on her body." On June 29, People magazine reported that Madonna is "feeling better and following doctor's orders and resting."

Madonna was "strenuously rehearsing" for her upcoming Celebration Tour prior to her hospitalization, Page Six said. A source told the outlet that the pop legend had been "putting in 12-hour days" for weeks while rehearsing at Long Island's rarely-used Nassau Coliseum. The venue, the former home of the New York Islanders, had a private event scheduled over the past weekend, so Coliseum employees didn't think anything of it when Madonna wasn't around for rehearsals. Little did they know she was intubated in the ICU.

Just hours before collapsing from a serious bacterial infection, Madonna appeared perfectly fine. The Daily Mail published photos of Madonna strolling around New York City on the afternoon of June 24. In fact, the pop star visited the Karl Lagerfeld exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in Manhattan with her assistant and one of her dancers that day. In the images, the singer dressed down in sweatpants, sneakers, sunglasses, and a baseball cap.

In the lead up to her hospitalization, Madonna ignored tell-tale signs that healthy issues were rearing their head. TMZ reported that the "Vogue" singer "battled a low-grade fever for a month before her body could no longer take it, collapsing and needing serious medical care." Madonna, the report states, was so busy preparing for her tour that she "mostly ignored her symptoms and never got checked out by a doctor." In Madonna's mind, her tour came first, and her health seemingly came second. Although the tour has been postponed, Madonna's inner circle is concerned that she might try to rush back, which may very well cause a health setback. TMZ said, "Madonna's doctors, and those around her, are worried she's going to go against doctor's orders and push to start her world tour ASAP … even though she's going to be required to rest up and recover for a while." Page Six said the decision to postpone the tour was made by Madonna's management team and not the pop star herself. "Madonna doesn't want to cancel her tour. She was having a blast in rehearsals and wants to get back to it when she's ready," a source said.

On June 28, the same day news of Madonna'a hospitalization broke, Rosie O'Donnell, the pop star's longtime pal, posted a throwback photo of the two doing yoga poses on a 1998 episode of the "Rosie O'Donnell Show." In providing a very brief update on the Material Girl's health, Rosie wrote on instagram, "She's feeling good 👍🏽 #madonna #love." Following the post, fans swarmed Rosie's Instagram feed to indicate that they've been worried about Madonna.

After Madonna's manager confirmed that the "Papa Don't Preach" songstress spent time in the ICU, a slew of her celebrities friends reacted with sadness and hope. Rita Wilson commented, "Sending Madonna my prayers for a speedy recovery." Rosie Perez said, "Sending prayers and support." Zooey Deschanel said, "Hope she feels better very soon!." Isla Fisher added, "Sending her so much love from us." Kathy Griffin came out swinging for Madonna, too, indicating she doesn't have any insight into the situation, but believed hateful comments were nothing more than "ageism and misogyny." "I don't like how people are already piling on and making fun of her being obviously quite ill, or collapsed, and she'll be fine – we don't know anything yet," Griffin said in a TikTok video. "I'm going to be honest, I think a lot of it is ageism and misogyny. Sorry, but as a 62-year old chick I deal with it all the time, and she's freaking Madonna!" The comedian added, "I don't care about her fillers; they're going to go away if she feels like it or not. I care about her health. I'm glad she can go back on this tour, and the tour is the greatest hits and she should be great."

Debi Mazar, one of Madonna's best friends, called the music superstar the "strongest gal I know." The "Entourage" actress' words come on the heels of Madonna's recent hospitalization and multi-day ICU stay. "Get well Sis! Rest,Restore,Reboot! Strongest gal I know…," Debi wrote on Instagram alongside a sepia-toned throwback photo. She added, "To all of her fans- Madonna is on the mend & home resting! #Warrior #Lioness."

'Melrose Place' star 'off the wagon' again following 20 rehab stints: Report

Worry is mounting after new images showed Heather Locklear looking disheveled while walking along an elevated ledge — the images come as a source says the once-sober "Melrose Place" star has reportedly fallen "off the wagon."

"Heather is drinking," a source told the Daily Mail, who published the aforementioned disturbing photos. "The family is very worried. Everyone feels helpless."

While several of the images show Heather looking distressed, video made things worse, as she was recorded walking along the elevated ledge of an office building in Malibu, Calif. Heather had to steady herself by holding on to pillars in order to avoid a steep drop onto the asphalt. She was talking to herself in another video.

"Tequila has always been her drink," a source said. "She can't stay away from it."

An insider also alleged that the actress "obsesses over her weight" and is taking the popular diabetes drug Ozempic to shed some pounds. Thus far, she's apparently down 40 pounds.

The "Spin City" star has battled demons for years, and People magazine reported in 2019 that Heather had been to rehab "more than 20 times." She has gotten sober several times over the years.

In 2006, after splitting from rocker ex-husband Richie Sambora, Heather was arrested for driving under the influence. In February 2018 police came to her home following a fight with her boyfriend. Once police officers arrived and tried to take Heather in for domestic violence, she allegedly became combative and attacked a cop. A few months after that, she was booked on two counts of misdemeanor battery upon an officer and emergency personnel following a drunken incident at her home.

The two incidents sandwiched an involuntary psychiatric hold at a Los Angeles hospital.

"Heather got off so easy with no probation or accountability after beating up cops and then threatening EMT ambulance drivers," the insider told the Daily Mail. "The no accountability has allowed her to continue to hide out on top of her mountain estate and drink her tequila body into a much larger unhappier figure."

Amid her struggles, Heather's fiancé, Chris Heisser, is doing his best to keep her afloat, but "he is battling alcohol too," the source said, dubbing Heather's behavior "unfair."

"[Chris] has to drive her for mandatory errands and try to sustain his career while lying to family and friends consistently hiding her alcohol and drug problems," the insider claimed. "[The couple] told friends she has been drinking again months ago and would return to rehab to no avail."

On Wednesday, July 5, a video showing Usher serenading the "Hustlers" actress began making the rounds on the Internet. That was all Keke's man, Darius Daulton Jackson, needed to see.

"It's the outfit tho.. you a mom," he tweeted, insinuating that his lady should be wearing something more conservative, given that fact that they welcomed a child in February.

After fans came to Keke's defense and ripped Darius, he doubled down on his thoughts.

"We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn't want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is," he tweeted. "This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe."

He ended his message with by saying, "I rest my case."

It seems that the shade toward Darius was too much more him to handle, as he reportedly deleted his social media.

Still, the "True Jackson, VP" actress wasn't about to be fazed by the drama. Although she's not directly responded to her boyfriend's comments about the sheer Givenchy dress, she did take to Instagram to post images from that evening.

On June 13, Kim Zolciak's lawyer released a statement to People magazine alleging that the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum's estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, emotionally abused her for years: "The emotional and mental abuse Kim has suffered from this man for so many years has taken a toll on her and, most heartbreakingly, their children," the lawyer said. The reality star and the former professional football player have been fighting for custody of their four minor children. (Kroy adopted Kim's two older daughters from previous relationships, but they're both adults now.)

Earlier on June 13, People reported that in new legal documents as part of their increasingly nasty divorce, Kroy alleged that Kim speaks to him "in a derogatory tone" and uses "abusive profane, and threat-laden language" in front of their kids. He also claimed that she fails to "pay adequate attention to the children" due to her alleged gambling addiction. He claims that since they called it quits, he's "picked up all the slack" where their kids are concerned — like "cleaning the home, picking up after the children, preparing their meals," etc. The duo filed to legally end their union in May following more than a decade of marriage.

On June 9, Page Six reported that, according to a source, Irina Shayk "was throwing herself" at Tom Brady at a celeb-stuffed wedding in Sardinia, Italy, in late May. "She followed him around all weekend," the source said. But according to the New York Post's gossip column, the football star told a friend he "wasn't interested" in the model. Irina's rep, meanwhile, slammed the account of what went down between the beauty and the former NFL quarterback, telling Page Six and other media outlets, "This story is completely false. It is a totally malicious and fictional account of the [weekend]." A DailyMail.com source, meanwhile, insisted that Irina and Tom are "just friends" and have "a purely platonic relationship."

On June 8 — after Bill Murray and Kelis were seen together several times in London — The U.S. Sun reported that the "Ghostbusters" actor and the "Milkshake" singer are dating. "They've met up in the States before … and now are meeting up in London while they're both here. They've clearly hit it off," a source said, adding that the age-mismatched duo — he's nearly three decades older than her — have been "getting close for a while."

They reportedly bonded over losing their previous spouses in recent years: Kelis's husband died in 2022 and Bill's estranged wife died in 2021. (She filed for divorce in 2008 but it's unclear if they ever legally ended their union.) "[They] both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them. Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap," the source said.

She then seemingly shut down the romance rumors by telling a different fan, "Maybe for now everyone's dumb and will believe anything but the best part is we are both blessed, rich and happy."

A member of NBA rookie Victor Wembanyama's security team allegedly assaulted Britney Spears in a Las Vegas restaurant on Wednesday night.

TMZ reports that Britney and her crew, which included husband Sam Asghari, arrived for dinner at Catch restaurant inside the Aria hotel at 8:30 p.m. on July 5. After being "swarmed by fans" upon entering the casino, the "Toxic" singer made the short walk across the hotel lobby into Catch. As soon as she got inside the popular restaurant, Brit spotted Wemby, who is in Vegas to play for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA's Summer League.

Britney, it seems, is a big fan of the recent No. 1 overall pick and wanted a picture together. After making her way to the 7'5" Frenchman, Britney reportedly tapped him on the shoulder. It was then that the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs allegedly "backhanded" Britney and caused her to fall to the ground. Her glasses were knocked off in the process.

In the aftermath of the chaos, Britney returned to her table. Soon after, the alleged assailant came over and apologized. The security man also said he didn't know who Britney was when he reportedly slapped her.

"You understand how it is when you're being swarmed by fans," he allegedly said, according to TMZ.

Britney accepted the apology and her security team hashed it out with Victor's security team. Before the evening was over, her security team filed a police report for alleged battery with the Metropolitan Police Department.

Victor is already one of my most hyped rookies in recent decades and is believed to be a generational talent. There was speculation last NBA season that teams would intentionally lose in order to increase their odds of being able to draft Wemby. He ultimately went to the Spurs.

Despite not having played an NBA regular season game yet, Wemby has already become a celebrity in his own right, as he's been pictured with Travis Scott, Michael Douglas and LeBron James. He also took batting practice at Yankee Stadium and threw out the first pitch before a game.

Grammy winner, husband moving to Australia to star 'new chapter': Report

G'day's are ahead for Pink and her family.

According to a report from New Idea, the "So What" singer is planning a "semi-permanent" move to Australia to begin a "new chapter" with husband, Carey Hart, and their kids, Willow, 11, and Jameson, 6.

"Australia will be such a special time. Setting up their much longed for dream base Down Under where they can escape the wintry months will be just what the doctor ordered," an insider said.

Pink has previously spoken about her Australian affection. Earlier this year while appearing on Australian 60 Minutes, she said she was "looking into" possible citizenship.

"Last year I was thinking about applying for citizenship, I am not even joking," she said.

Pink did not specify which Australian cities she's eyeing for a potential home base, but the Grammy winner and her family are reportedly scouring the country for a large plot of land big enough for a dirt bike track, similar to what they have at their California home.

"Pink and Carey have set a string of goals and all of it is hinging on Australia," the source said. "If they can work through their issues with the aim of having a great Christmas and New Year, then Australia will be the ultimate reward."

At a London concert, the singer opened up about going to marriage counseling with Carey, whom she briefly split from in 2008. The couple's relationship has been "hot and cold and everything in between," the source said.

"Pink admits there were times when things got so tense that being stuck at home seemed like a pressure cooker," continues the source. "This is a woman who admitted she once slashed Carey's tires during a particularly heated Thanksgiving. She can be testy!"

Any potential move likely wouldn't come until after Pink's Summer Carnival Tour, which will stop in seven Australian cities next February and March.

Former TV star going under the knife after 'mean comments'

Brandi Glanville is about to make some changes.

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star claims to have never had plastic surgery on her face, but she does plan to go under the knife soon.

"I've NEVER had surgery on my face. I'm so sick of all the mean comments," the 50-year-old tweeted. "I've aged & now these comments are p****** off my kids cuz they know the truth."

She added, "I've never been in bandages."

The best-selling author, though, acknowledged that she is gearing up to get "a lower face & neck lift," similar to what "Housewives" star Teddi Mellencamp once got.

"I think she looks amazing and I will eventually do my upper eyelids," she continued. "I don't know when because I have to have time for down time & right now luckily I don't!"

For Brandi's sake, hopefully she'll receive a different response than Teddi got following her surgery.

"Everybody went crazy," Teddi told told "Extra" last year. "I mean, there was way more positive than there was negative, but I kind of wanted to point out the negative because people continuously want to know all the details, but when you give them the details, they are upset about it."

She advised, "Truthfully, whatever makes you feel beautiful and makes you feel happy, do it."

The model is no stranger to cosmetic procedures. Just last year she admitted to getting liposuction after "constantly" being asked if she was pregnant. Interestingly, Brandi – who noted that she gained 20 pounds during the COVID pandemic — once said she didn't "believe" in liposuction, but she's since changed her mind. She has also admitted in the past to receiving Botox and fillers.

Back in April 2022, Brandi fought back against suspicion that she went under the knife to enhance her face.

"Ok I'm saying this once I had periodontal (gum) surgery on the right side of my mouth on my back right side because I had a cavity below the gum line," she tweeted at the time. "It is infected and swollen I am on my second round of antibiotics and when I do get plastic surgery I will be the first to say."

Psychological battle

Bowen Yang is putting himself first. The "Saturday Night Live" star announced that he's taking a break from his podcast, "Las Culturistas," to treat "bad bouts of depersonalization," a condition where he believes things around him aren't real. "Taking a very short break from ['Las Culturistas']. Bad bouts of depersonalization are f****** me up bad, but I am doing my best to get better!" he wrote on his Instagram Story, per Page Six. "Please take care, be soon." Depersonalization, often associated with people who've experienced trauma, is a psychological condition in which people have out-of-body experiences that cause them to believe that things around them aren't real, according to the Mayo Clinic. On 2021, the comedian told People magazine that his parents once sent him to a gay conversion camp. "There was a huge chasm of misunderstanding. Neither side really understood where the other was coming from, and it led to very dangerous situations overall," he said. "What was always constant was the intention of love from both sides. It pushed me into questioning what it meant, what was protected and what I should be protective about in terms of being a queer person. I don't take it for granted."

'Burnt out'

In the lead up to her "Celebration" world tour, Madonna was, to her detriment, working hard to try to keep up with her younger pop star peers. Sources are now wondering if that mentality is partially responsible for landing her in the ICU. "The countdown was well and truly on. Madonna had all her chips on one number, which was this tour," a source told The Sun. "She was working overtime, but she clearly burnt herself out and people around her have been politely reminding her that she is not 45 anymore, let alone 25. She needed to pace herself. Pushing herself so hard was extremely risky." The "Vogue" singer seemingly saw that Taylor Swift and Pink were on hugely successful world tours and she wanted to compete. "Madonna was in good spirits before the incident, but some friends had encouraged her to take it easy and find time for rest because of the grueling schedule she had ahead of her," a source added. In the end, the hospitalization might have been a saving grace. "Many of us feel the constant remarks about her age have put pressure on her to compete, so we are relieved that she has been forced to take time out and put her health first. People were really worried about her," the source said. "Nobody would say it out loud but there were concerns about another Michael Jackson situation if she doesn't slow down a bit. Everyone saw something like this coming because of her intense schedule but only a few were brave enough to tell her that they were concerned."

Health scare

"New Amsterdam" actor Tyler Labine is lucky to be alive following a near-fatal health scare. In a candid Instagram post, Tyler said he experienced a stomach ache but thought nothing of it, so he tried to just sleep it off. Unfortunately, the pain was worse the following day, so he went to the emergency room. "And then sometimes your tummy ache turns out to be a potentially fatal blood clot in your intestines and liver and you have to spend the next 3 days in the hospital trying not to die. Just sometimes," he wrote. In the post, the actor shared a series of videos and photos from the hospital and ambulance. "I'm doing alright. Slow recovery but I'm here with my family supporting me and my lovely girlfriend Martha taking care of me," he wrote. "I'm counting my blessings and just possibly reassessing what's really important to me in this life."

Sounding off

Ezra Miller isn't holding back after a protective order against them expired. Back on June 30, 2022, a woman filed a protective order against Ezra on behalf of her young child, who's now 12 years old. The mother claimed "The Flash" star acted inappropriately toward the child and harassing the family. With that court order now over, Ezra is sounding off. "I'm encouraged by today's outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood beside me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protection order was halted," Ezra, who uses they/them pronouns, said in a lengthy Instagram statement. The accusations, Ezra believes, "have been unjustly and directly targeted." "Protective orders are meant to provide safety for individuals, families and children who are in danger," they wrote. "They are not meant to be used as weapons by those seeking attention or fleeting tabloid fame or some sort of personal vengeance when there are people in true and dire need of these services."

Driving him crazy

Another driver is about to enter the roadways, and Luke Bryan is terrified. That driver is the singer's 15-year-old son, Thomas "Bo" Boyer. "He's 15 so he's doing the whole learner's permit nightmare," Luke said on Audacy's Katie & Company. "He is not a very good driver right now, so we're having to work with him pretty hard." It seems that things aren't going particularly smoothly, as Bo can't quite understand the difference between cars and off-road vehicles. "He's very frustrated right now because he thinks he knows how to drive, but he has no idea what he's doing," Luke said. "He thinks because he can operate a 4-wheeler or Polaris that he is quite proficient, but he is not, I assure you."

Strage fall

Man, she feels likes an ailing woman! Shania Twain took a hard tumble while performing on stage in Illinois over the weekend. Video posted to TMZ shows the country superstar walking on stage while "Don't Be Stupid" plays. She suddenly slipped and fell right on her behind. After the crowed audibly gasped, Shania threw her arm up and proclaimed "yeah!" She then went right back into the song as if nothing happened. A consummate pro.

Beautiful, delicate — and super dangerous

"Absolute terror." That's how Tom Cruise left the crew feeling on the set of "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" when he executed a speed-flying stunt. Tom learned the extreme sport — which combines paragliding and parachuting, but in a much faster, foot-propelled format, usually down the side of a very steep mountain — for the movie, according to a new featurette about how it was made, via Variety. "Mission Impossible" director Christopher McQuarrie calls speed-flying "one of the most dangerous sports in the world," pointing out, "While it may look similar, speed-flying is not skydiving. Skydiving is fairly predictable. Speed-flying is very unpredictable."

To Tom, however, "it's a very beautiful and delicate sport," particularly as it appears in the film. "We're gonna do spirals, and we're landing at an incredibly high speed, over 80 kilometers an hour," says the actor, who rode a motorcycle off a cliff for another scene for the film. According to Christopher, however, the beauty of speed-flying did little to ease the crew's concern for Tom's life when he filmed the stunt. "Behind the scenes, we were all in absolute terror," he admits. "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" hits theaters July 12.

She announced the news on Thursday, June 29 — the same day "The Kardashians" aired an episode devoted to Kourtney's sister, Kim Kardashian's glam team-centric trip to the DMV, which she'd had shut down for the occasion of updating her license photo. Kourtney's timing seemed like more than a coincidence to fans who've been following her feud with Kim on the current season of their Hulu show. Sharing a black and white pic of her license above "Kourtney Kardashian Barker," Kourtney wrote "Say my name" in the caption, tagging the location as "Department of Motor Vehicles."

"Kourtney is totally mocking Kim's episode from today 😂😂," one fan wrote in the comments. "The same day the episode came out. Dare I say there's still beef," another added. A third person chided the reality star, commenting, "Lol after Kim's license episode…. It's not a comp kourtney."

On Thursday's episode, Kourtney vented about Kim's collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana for Milan Fashion Week just four months after Kourtney had teamed up with the brand for her wedding in Italy. "It's almost like a greediness," she said at one point, per E! News. "If I look at the photos from the fashion show, half of the time I'm like, 'Is this my wedding?'" While Kim insisted she was careful about not stepping on her sister's toes with the looks she chose for Milan, Kourtney pointed out repeatedly that her issue with Kim's partnership went beyond the runway show. "This was definitely not about a brand," she said. "It was about my wedding."

Unfaithful ex

SZA had mixed feelings about traveling to London to play at the O2 Arena this week, thanks to an ex. "I never told anybody," the singer said at one point during her show, according to multiple social media videos. "But, like, my boyfriend cheated on me in this city before," she said with a chuckle. "It was f****** terrible. That's why I was really sad to come here … but you guys made it so much better. Thank you!" The crowd cheered as the opening of her hit break-up ballad "Nobody Gets Me" began. "This song is about my other trash ex-boyfriend," she noted. "I have bad taste in men."

Speaking to Hot 97 in 2022, SZA revealed "Nobody Gets Me," which samples Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You," was inspired by how low she felt after breaking up with an ex-fiance, and her initial fear she was "doomed" because "nobody understood me the way he did."

Mama's boy

When Pete Davidson got his big break on "Saturday Night Live" in 2014, his mother, Amy Davidson, was not about to let trolls talk trash about her kid on social media. "My mom used to have a fake Twitter account when I first got 'SNL,'" Pete revealed on the "Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers" podcast this week, according to People. "You know the traditional 'SNL' trajectory: you first get the show, everyone loves you and then they stop and you actually have to be good at the show and then they love you again," he explained. "It was, like, my second or third year, and it was a lot of 'he's not useful' typical Twitter comments. And my mom made a f****** fake Twitter account under the name @JoeSmith1355 and would respond to everyone."

Pete went on to recall how "specific" Amy was in defending her son. "Like, 'Actually, I heard he's working on himself and does that quite often,'" he said. Eventually, though, she was caught and got the boot from Twitter. "They found out because her usernme was @JoeSmith, but her profile name was Amy Davidson and the profile picture was Amy Davidson," Pete said. "So, it was a picture of my mom, with a name that said @JoeSmith1355, commenting on all these haters … She got my back, dude."

Following doctor's orders

After landing in the ICU with what her manager called a "serious bacterial infection," Madonna is recovering at home on New York City's Upper East Side, where "she's feeling better and following doctor's orders and resting," according to an unnamed People source. The update comes after her friends Rosie O'Donnell and Debi Mazar both posted about her health on social media, telling fans on Thursday, June 29, she was doing "better" and "on the mend" after the scare. The singer, 64, was hospitalized due to the infection on Saturday, according to her manager, Guy Oseary, who said she's expected to make "a full recovery" but will not be hitting the road for her Celebration Tour as planned. She was scheduled to kick off the shows in Vancouver on July 15 and had reportedly been rehearsing on a grueling schedule prior to getting sick. TMZ reported on Thursday that Madonna was still "vomiting uncontrollably" when she was released from the hospital after spending multiple days in intensive care. Page Six initially reported the singer was "unresponsive" at some point on Saturday before she was treated for the infection.

More abuse allegations

Marvel actor Jonathan Majors faces multiple new allegations of physical and emotional abuse ahead of his domestic violence trial, which is scheduled to begin in New York City on Aug. 3. Late on Thursday, June 29, Rolling Stone published a wide-reaching expose about the star featuring nine unnamed sources who claimed he was abusive with a woman he was dating, allegedly strangling her and abusing her, emotionally. The outlet's survey of Jonathan's past relationships, romantic and otherwise, reportedly dates back to his "time in graduate school" at Yale. One ex who went on record with her name, Haley Carter, said she dated Jonathan as a teenager and remembered him as "sweet, kind and gentle" and "not violent in any way." Other sources gave very different accounts, including one woman who reportedly called her relationship with the actor "emotional torture" and people who worked on movie and TV sets with Jonathan "where production members raised concerns over his treatment of crew," according to Rolling Stone.

In a statement about the piece, Jonathan's attorney, Dustin A. Pusch, said: "Jonathan Majors vehemently denies Rolling Stone's false allegations that he physically, verbally, or emotionally abused anyone, let alone any of his past romantic partners … [He] also denies any allegations of abuse, violence, or intimidation during his time at Yale." The lawyer also claimed Rolling Stone "purposefully ignored" the statements he gave the outlet "from Mr. Majors's actual past romantic partners attesting to his character and the falsity of the charges." Rolling Stone, meanwhile, reported that it contacted the six people Jonathan's attorney had shared statements from, including Haley. As far as the others, three people reportedly claimed never to have given the actor "permission to release such statements." A fourth said the statement in her name was neither "truthful" nor something she'd "approved," and the fifth didn't respond to Rolling Stone. In her defense of Jonathan, Haley told Rolling Stone, "he is exactly the opposite of what these allegations say."

Remembering Alan Arkin

Alan Arkin, whose decades-spanning career began on Broadway in 1963 with a Tony Award winning performance in "Enter Laughing" and led him to many more award-winning performances in movies like "Little Miss Sunshine" TV shows like "The Kominsky Method," has died at 89. His sons confirmed the news of his death on Friday, June 30, calling the actor, director, screenwriter and dad "a uniquely talented force of nature, both as an artist and a man." Colleagues past and present also paid tribute to Alan on social media on Friday, with Billy Crystal praising him as "our greatest actors," writing that he was, "hilarious, heartbreaking, and the ability to be terrifying, his range was amazing." Paul Reiser also remembered the late star, posting, "A world without Alan Arkin is …not so great. I've loved this man from the moment he came on screen in 'The Russians Are Coming..' ('Whitaker Walt!') I was 8. Getting to know him – and getting a laugh out of him – is a highlight of my life. RIP dear friend." Ellen Barkin recalled Alan's "astounding range" as well, writing, "He could do it all and he did. And brilliantly. Watching him over the years taught me so much about acting. Talent like this is rare indeed. Rest in Peace Alan Arkin." When he died, Alan had recently been cast in "The Smack," which was in pre-production, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Star struck

Kelsea Ballerini is being hailed as "a real class act" for her response after she was hit in the face on stage in Boise, Idaho, by an object that appeared to have been thrown by a fan. Video posted on social media shows a bracelet being hurled at the country singer before it hits her in the eye. In the footage, Kelsea looks startled then visibly winces before turning her back to the crowd as her bandmates rush to help her. After briefly pausing the show to walk off stage, she returns with her guitar. "Can we just talk about what happened?" she asks. "All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don't feel safe, please let someone around you know. There's security everywhere tonight. If anyone's pushing too much or you just have that gut feeling or anything, always flag it," she continues. "Don't throw things, you know?"

Kelsea shared a similar message on her Instagram Story after the show. "Hi. I'm fine. Someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye, and it more so just scared me than hurt me," she wrote, according to Entertainment Tonight. "We all have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown, and that's why I walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd all felt safe to continue. That's all I ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all."

This is the third time in a month a female pop star's been greeted by a flying object while on stage. In early June, Bebe Rexha had to have stitches after she was hit in the face with a concertgoer's cell phone in New York City. And in London on June 25, Pink briefly stopped singing when an audience member threw a small bag of ashes at the stage. It turned out to be the person's mother's cremated remains.

Health update

As he continues to recover from an undisclosed medical complication, Jamie Foxx "finally picked up the phone" to take a call from John Boyega, John told People at the June 27 premiere for the pair's new comedy, "They Cloned Tyrone." While John said his friend and costar is "doing well," an unnamed source later told the outlet Jamie's "still not himself" in the wake of his hospitalization. The People source also said Jamie is "getting the best care and working hard to recover," without sharing further details about the nature of his health problem. Jamie, 55, became ill in April while filming "Back in Action" with Cameron Diaz. His daughter, Corrine Fox said on social media a few weeks later that her dad was back at home, recuperating and in good spirits, but neither she nor her family members have revealed any specifics about what happened before the Oscar winner was rushed to the hospital. At Tuesday's premiere, Jamie's co-producer on "They Cloned Tyrone," Datari Turner, told People Jamie was "doing amazing" and would "be back at work very soon."

Calling out the 'wrinkle brigade'

Christie Brinkley called out trolls on Instagram on June 29 after spotting a slew of negative comments on a selfie she'd posted the day before. "Update: Whoa Nelly ! The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread!" Christie, 69, edited her initial "downtown girl" caption to read. "They are the people that scan celebrities pages, hoping to find some cellulite , wrinkles , or anything that they can point to to to critique," she continued, adding that the criticism "must be somd [sic] form of compensation for some thing they are lacking." She went on to praise supporters whose "kind and valuable" messages always seem to appear to balance things out. "Those are the comments that restore my faith and make my heart sing! Thank you sweet souls," she added.

Among the "sweet souls" who shared positive words in the comments was a user who wrote, "One of the reasons Christie has been & always will be one of the world's most iconic beauties is bc she leads with kindness." Others were less generous. "Yikes what happened to aging gracefully? You're not at all the beauty that I grew up admiring! Lay off the fillers," one person wrote. "Is this a photoshop cartoon or really [Christie]?" asked another. As the comment scroll gained more traction over the course of the day, though, the model seemed to have more and more folks on her side, like a user who called out Christie's critics, telling them, "This beautiful lady is not your punching bag. She is an amazing 66 year old woman who has paved the way for so many in the fashion industry … SHAME ON YOU."

Clarifying 'falsehoods'

Jada Pinkett Smith says her forthcoming memoir "Worthy" will cover "everything" about her "controversial life" — including, it seems, a clarification of narratives related to her marriage to Will Smith. "I think people have made a lot of assumptions. And you know what? Rightfully so," the actress recently told People in an interview about the book. "I have to take ownership of that, in regards to the narrative that I've participated in, the falsehoods about myself. In the book, I really explain all of that extensively as part of my reclamation journey." Asked if Jada would cover "everything," confirmed she would. "It just so happens that there's some moments that a lot of people are aware of that I'll be able to break down," she said.

One such moment could presumably be Will's infamous Oscars slap, when he hit Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada's shaved head during an award presentation. (Jada suffers from alopecia, which can cause severe hair loss as well as shame, as she explained on a subsequent edition of her show, "Red Table Talk.") Another moment that seems likely to appear in the book is the revelation that Jada and Will have given each other the freedom to pursue extramarital sexual relationships, which Will discussed extensively while promoting his own memoir in 2021. "Worthy" hits shelves Oct. 17.

William's salary revealed

It pays to be the Duke of Cornwall — about $7.5 million, to be exact. That's the private income Prince William received in 2023 courtesy of his new Duke of Cornwall title, which he inherited when his dad became King Charles III after Queen Elizabeth II's death, according to the Duchy of Cornwall's 2023 annual report, published June 29. William, who is also now the Prince of Wales, is reportedly entitled to receive the duchy's surplus profits, but he only got a portion of the approximately $30 million profits in 2023 because the duchy requested extra funds to manage the dukedom's changeover from Charles to William, according to the Independent. Despite that fact, William's already facing criticism from those who were expecting a detailed report of his expenditures related to Cornwall, as Charles always published when the title was his. A rep for Kensington Palace said there would be no such report at this time in part because William and Duchess Kate "have been working through with their Duchy and household team their plans and priorities for the Duchy and the household in the years to come, and how these support their work and charitable priorities."

Cameo condition

Before she agreed to reprise her "Sex and the City" role as Samantha Jones in Max's "And Just Like That," Kim Cattrall gave the network one condition — and it was fashion-related. "It's very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, 'What can we do?' I went, 'Hmmm… Let me get creative,'" Kim said with a giggle on "The View" on June 28, recalling the demands she made for returning after having said she'd never play Samantha again. "One of those things [was] … 'to get Pat Field back," she revealed, referencing the stylist for "Sex and the City," whose over-the-top looks spawned style trends galore during the show's long run. Patricia was not available to work on "And Just Like That," but she found a way to squeeze Kim's single-scene, Season 2 cameo into her schedule. Kim also discussed enlisting Patricia's help in finding "a great fr**** outfit" for the scene with the hosts of "Today" during an interview for the June 30 edition of the show. Describing her shopping trip to Bergdorf Goodman with the renowned stylist, Kim said, "It felt like dipping my toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon, and then a great martini."

'On the mend'

Madonna's longtime friend Debi Mazar shared an update on the singer's health after her manager confirmed she recently spent multiple days in the intensive care unit due to a serious bacterial infection. "To all of her fans-Madonna is on the mend & home resting!" Debi wrote on Instagram on Thursday, June 29, adding the hashtags "lioness" and "warrior." Debi's update comes one day after Page Six reported Madonna, 64, was rushed to a New York City hospital and intubated over the weekend after being found unresponsive. The outlet also reported she'd been working "12-hour days" in preparation for her upcoming tour. While her manager, Guy Oseary, has not confirmed those details of Thusday, he released a statement on Wednesday saying she'd been hospitalized but was expected to make "a full recovery." He also said her Celebration Tour will have to be put on hold for now.

Other celebrities who've weighed in with support for the star include her friend Rosie O'Donnell, who posted on Instagram that Madonna is "feeling good." Comedian Kathy Griffin, meanwhile, shared a TikTok video in which she called out social media trolls for "making fun of [Madonna] being obviously quite ill," comments she attributed to "ageism and misogyny." Pop music icon reportedly intubated in ICU after being found unresponsive

Madonna's "Celebration" tour has been postponed after she suffered a bacterial infection that landed her in the intensive care unit.

Page Six reported that the Material Girl was found unresponsive over the weekend and was subsequently rushed to a New York City hospital. There, she was reportedly intubated "for at least one night before having the tube removed."

The report noted that the pop star is alert, responding and no longer in the ICU.

Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon, was by her mom's side throughout the medical incident.

Amid speculation around her wellbeing, Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, confirmed the hospitalization but shied away from discussing the alleged intubation.

"On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU," he shared in an Instagram post. "Her health is improving however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected."

"At his time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour," he continued, adding that the impacted show dates will be rescheduled.

Madonna was set to kick off an 84-date global tour in Vancouver, Canada, on July 15. The tour was set to cover music spanning across her 40-year career.

"I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for," she said in a statement in January after announcing the tour.

The "Like A Virgin" singer's last social media post showed her rehearsing for the tour.

On Friday, June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court made two controversial rulings: First, it ruled that a Colorado web designer is legally allowed to refuse to work with same-sex couples for wedding websites. LBGTQ+ advocates claim the decision will result in discrimination against the gay community. Shortly after, the nine justices struck down President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan, calling it unconstitutional. Both rulings were 6-3, and the conservative majority prevailed. After the decisions, many celebrities and notable names weighed in on the rulings. Clearly referring to the LBGTQ ruling, Andy Cohen tweeted, "Legalizing discrimination. Incredible." He later added, "HAPPY PRIDE."
