Inside Britney Spears' return to Las Vegas for first time since ending 4-year residency

Remember me?

Back on Dec. 31, 2017, Britney Spears ended her Las Vegas residency after a highly-successful four-year run. Over the weekend, the pop star returned to Vegas for the first time since that final show, but this time she wasn't under her father's thumb.

On March 5, Britney and her fiance Sam Asghari headed to Sin City to celebrate his 28th birthday.

"There was no drama," a source told Page Six. "She got picked up in a Rolls Royce, [was driven] to the hotel and had a great time."

After checking into the Presidential Suite at the Crockfords tower of the newly-opened Resorts World, Sam and Britney reportedly had a couple's massage. They were later joined by Brit's assistant, one of Sam's longtime friends and his wife for a private dinner at Wally's. During the dinner, which took place inside a private speakeasy within the restaurant, the group listened to jazz singer Katie Welch, who gave a glimpse of her cover of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" on Instagram.

"So crazy story," Katie wrote on her Instagram. "Last night I had the honor of performing for one of my idols. I got to perform a private dinner show for Britney Spears and her fiancee Sam Asghari. To have the privilege of entertaining one of  the greatest entertainers of our time was truly surreal."

"Britney has been such an inspiration to me and had such and enormous impact on the performer that I am," the jazz singer continued. "She looked so beautiful and so happy, laughing & dancing, wrapped in the arms of the life of her life. As a true Britney fan, nothing makes me happier than seeing her so happy and free."

Following the dinner and show, Sam joined UFC legend Chuck Liddell at UFC 272. Britney, meanwhile, retreated back to her suite and "just relaxed," Page Six's source said.

Resorts World President and CEO Scott Sibella told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Britney and Sam's Vegas vacation was "just a getaway" for pleasure and there were no talks of a residency deal.

On March 7, Britney even posted a video from the weekend that shows her and Sam dancing at dinner.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca0PTuhruB-/

"Thank you baby for always reminding me what life is about," she said of her man. "Joy, laughter, and living… My experience was a woman's dream."

Britney initially launched her "Britney: Piece of Me" show at Planet Hollywood in December 2013. Originally slated for a two-year run, the pop extravaganza was extended for two more years after the show sold out time and time again. Ten months after wrapping that show, Britney announced her second Strip residency production, titled "Domination." However, she pulled the plug on that show before ever taking the stage.

In between then and now, Britney's 13-year conservatorship, helmed by her father, was terminated, giving her universal freedom. Over the weekend, Britney reflected on her history in the city while torching her father and the rest of her family.

"Wow!!! Being a guest in Las Vegas is way better than being me … or wait … is it because my family got to be the stars when I worked in Vegas???" she wrote in the since-deleted Instagram post. "I mean … they were given star treatment … spas … alcohol … the whole 9 yards. But guess what!!! This was my first time!!! It was absolutely lovely being treated like an equal in Las Vegas for the first time in 13 years … huge difference!!!… I don't have to entertain my family anymore and be their puppet."

'Jurassic Park' stars reunite 29 years after original movie

Talk about a reunion that makes you want to scream!

Amblin/Universal/Kobal/Shutterstock

Over the weekend, OG "Jurassic Park" stars Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill stars reunited, and they shared some amazing pictures in the process. Sam first got in on the action, posting a photo with Jeff and Laura from dinner.

He then added a snap of with Jeff in front of the iconic "Jurassic Park" logo, and both men did their best dinosaur impressions.

"We are SO lethal these days," Sam joked.

Jeff later posted an epic selfie with his pals from the Universal Studios Lot in Los Angeles.

"I remember these guys," Laura noted another reunion picture that proves all three have aged like a fine wine.

The three, of course, struck up a friendship after starring in 1993's "Jurassic Park." Jeff, Laura and Sam will all reprise their roles as Dr Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, respectively in this summer's "Jurassic World: Dominion."

This might be the most extra Kris Jenner thing ever…

The Kardashian-Jenner dish doesn't stop!

It's no secret that the Kris Jenner is beyond wealthy, but it turns out that she's so rich that she has a room in her home dedicated entirely to dishes and nothing else.

A post on lifestyle blog Poosh reveals that the Kardashian-Jenner momager keeps a museum-worthy china collection in a "walk-in closet," which includes a $598 Hermes cup and saucer, a $640 Gucci teapot and a $460 Hermes plate, among other valuables.

"The room is impeccably organized and perfectly displays her impressive collection of designer dinnerware sets," the blog says.

Kris' collection includes custom coffee mugs and "a range of timeless and rare table sets," the blog adds.

Poosh, which is owned and operated by Kris' daughter Kourtney Kardashian, shared photos of the over-the-top room.

"It's like a mini museum with excellent lighting surrounding each set and not a teacup or plate out of place," the article continued, "truly a work of art."

Chris Hemsworth's wife was reportedly 'stuck' for days without cell reception after flooding

As floods devastated Australia's New South Wales recently, Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, apparently found herself without a way to contact friends and family, including her husband.

According to The Daily Telegraph's Confidential, Elsa was essentially stuck at home with her children after the entrance to their mansion was "completely flooded." In addition, the weather knocked out cell reception.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

"She was there on her own with her three young children because Chris is currently overseas filming (Extraction 2)," a source reportedly told the publication. "Elsa was stuck in her house for a number of days with no phone reception."

After waters finally receded in front of her house, the actress began helping neighbors affected by the catastrophe.

Elsa made no mention of her alleged situation while sharing heartbreaking Instagram images of drowning towns — images show water so high that cars and homes are being swallowed. One image even shows people gathered on the roof of a home while awaiting help.

"Northern Rivers and beyond had been hit by the worst floods in history. People have spent hours waiting on rooftops to be rescue," Elsa wrote on social media. "Thanks to all those who are able to help save people and animals stranded by the floodwaters, you are the real hero's."

She added that it's "so amazing to watch how everyone pulls together in a disaster and helps the community."

Chris also posted graphic images from the flooding.

"Absolutely devastating watching some of the worst floods in Australia's history hitting Queensland and NSW," he wrote. "Heroic efforts by everyone involved in rescuing thousands of people who have been stranded. Lots of love to everyone who has been effected and a big shout out to all who had a boat or jet ski and launched straight into rescue missions without hesitation." Those people, he said, are "true heroes."

And, more bad news: Turbulent weather is expected this weekend, potentially hindering relief efforts.

Marisa Tomei still hasn't been paid for 'King of Staten Island'

Marisa Tomei has apparently been waiting two years for her paycheck from "The King of Staten Island."

While speaking with Rolling Stone, the Oscar-winning actress said she never got paid for playing Pete Davidson's mom in the fictionalized version of the comedian's life.

Jim Ruymen/UPI/Shutterstock

"I actually just was talking to Pete today, because I was like, 'I never got paid for that. Did you?,'" the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" actress said. "In this age of transparency, can we talk?"

"But despite that, I had a rollicking good time," Marisa, 57, said, adding that she was initially "intimidated" by Director Judd Apatow's approach to improv, which the film featured much of. "I'm with all these stand-up [comics]. It was so freeing. Really changed how I approach each character going forward."

Marisa quickly pivoted to praise Pete, too.

"He's just so f—— real, and he's unfiltered, but very sensitive," she said. "So he's almost an irresistible combination. And he's good-looking, even though I played … let's just put the mom thing aside. Let's, like, never mention that again."

Mary Cybulski/Universal/Kobal/Shutterstock

Funny enough, when the film was released in 2020, fans and media immediately wondered if Pete would end up dating Marisa, as he's been linked over the years to a bevy of beauties.

"No, that's insane," he told Jimmy Kimmel of the prospect of dating his on-screen mom. Pete, however, is taken in the romance department, as she's been dating Kim Kardashian since October.

Bob Odenkirk was bankrupt before 'Breaking Bad'

Bob Odenkirk was financially broken before "Breaking Bad."

In fact, the Emmy-nominated actor said he was actually bankrupt and his business manager was encouraging him to take out a $900,000 loan to "stay afloat," he told Howard Stern this week.

Stewart Cook/Shutterstock

At the time, Bob was directing projects that "weren't great" and didn't pay well. He admits he lacked creativity and was visionless. Soon, he was in a "financial hole" and taking any gig that he could get his hands on, regardless of pay.

His business manager told him, "'Money is money, whatever you can make. If somebody offers you $3,000, if he offers you $300, make that money today, bring some through. That's all you gotta do. If you just do that, we're gonna be ok,'" Bob remembered. "I proceeded to live that way. Instead of being my picky, snooty self I said, 'Look, work's work, let's do it. Let's act, direct.' I pursued commercials. I directed some commercials. I had a good time doing it."

Then, before the second season of "Breaking Bad," Bob's phone rang.

"I get a phone call, 'They're gonna offer you a role on 'Breaking Bad,' the show 'Breaking Bad" — not a popular show or a big show at the time — 'and don't say no,' my agent says," Bob recounted. "And I was like dude, I haven't said 'no' in a year and a half, but maybe you didn't notice that."

MediaPunch/Shutterstock

The "Better Call Saul" actor had no plans of turning down the role, but he still looked into it, having not heard of the AMC show.

"I still checked it out, I still wanted to know what the hell the show was," he said. "I called a friend, somebody I'd been writing with, Reid Harrison, and he goes, 'Oh, that's the best show on TV. You gotta do that. That's the best thing there is.'"

Of course, "Breaking Bad" turned Bob's career and checking account around, as his portrayal of Saul Goodman earned him a prequel spinoff, "Better Call Saul," which is set to conclude after its sixth season in April 2022.

Jerry Springer reveals his true feelings about his infamous talk show

With all the storylines and explosive fights, "The Jerry Springer Show" was chaos at its best. No one, though, would accuse the show of being overtly newsy… not even the host.

"I can't think of anything more fun," Jerry told Page Six of his legendary eponymous talk show. "I mean, I never took it seriously. I always knew it was a stupid show. But it's fun, and people enjoyed it."

NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via

While it's almost impossible to not have an opinion about the show, you can't understate its success, as it aired for 27 seasons between 1991 and 2018. In all, over 5,000 shows aired. Initially, "The Jerry Springer Show" dealt with politics and mainstream issues, but it quickly changed and focused on cheating, race, paternity and other tantalizing issues that were gritty and largely eschewed on network TV.

The show, Jerry said, had "a democratic quality to it."

"'Seinfeld,' 'Frasier,' 'Friends,' it was always well-scrubbed-looking, upper middle class people. And that was it, and all of a sudden my show comes on," Jerry said, taking pride in the fact that he gave a platform to people who "had never really been on television before."

Interestingly, but today's standards, Jerry, 78, thinks his show is tame, especially when compared to what can be found on social media.

"Our show is like 'I Love Lucy,'" he joked.

S Meddle/ITV/Shutterstock

These days, Jerry is still on TV, but in a much different facet. The former lawyer and politician is now the star of "Judge Jerry," which is in its third season of syndication. In a drastic shift from his talk show, the TV icon maintains a courtroom that isn't boastful or brash.

"It's just not my personality. No one would take it seriously if all of a sudden I started [yelling]. A lot of people watched for 27 years my crazy show, but I'm never yelling at the guests, I'm never cursing," he said. "So it's easier to be yourself than to play any other role. That's what I feel, right?"

Courteney Cox recalls real life ghost encounter that made her sell her house

Let's just say Courteney Cox and an unwanted houseguest weren't friends.

While appearing on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" recently, the actress revealed that she once moved out of a home she owned because it was haunted.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

The Los Angeles house was previously owned by burlesque dancer Gypsy Rose Lee and songwriting legend Carole King.

"I didn't believe it at first," the "Scream" star said of the alleged hauntings. However, Carole acknowledged the ghostly history of the home and even came over to perform a séance.

"So, Carole King came over to my house and she said there had been a divorce that was really ugly, and there was a ghost in the house," Courteney said. "And I was 'Yeah, whatever.' But other people who had stayed there with me — like, friends of mine — said they had an encounter with a woman who was sitting on the edge of the bed."

Scott Kirkland/PictureGroup/Shutterstock

Courteney was still quite skeptical until she got a delivery at the door one day.

"I was at the house one day, not being a believer. And the doorbell rang," she recalled. "It was a UPS guy or something, and I opened the door and he said, 'Do you know this house is haunted?' "And I go, 'Yeah, why? Why do you think that?' He goes, 'Because there is someone standing behind you.'"

In that very moment, the "Friends" icon decided to sell the house.

"It was so scary. I couldn't sleep there alone ever again," she said. "You just don't think of it the same way. You start seeing things."

Pat Sajak defends 'Wheel' contestants after 'dumbest' clip goes viral

Pat Sajak is defending the contestants involved in what's been descried as the "dumbest two minutes in Wheel of Fortune history."

On March 1, a clip of that evening's show went viral after it took contestants eight turns and 10 attempts to solve a puzzle a very easy puzzle with only four unturned letters left.

The correct answer was "Another Feather In Your Cap." However, guesses included "Another Feather In Your Hat," "Another Feather In Your Lap" and "Another Feather In Your Map." Twitter was dumbfounded at the missed answers.

But, the "Wheel of Fortune" host sees it differently and urged viewers to "have a little heart."

Patrick Lewis/Starpix/Shutterstock

"It always pains me when nice people come on our show to play a game and win some money and maybe fulfill a lifelong dream, and are then subject to online ridicule when they make a mistake or something goes awry," he began a lengthy Twitter string. "Last night's 'Feather in your cap' puzzle was a case in point. Sitting at home, it seems incredible that they couldn't solve it, but I knew in real time what was happening."

"The first attempted solve was 'Feather in your hat' which, by the way, is how a lot of people say it," he continued. "So all three players thought it was a good solve, and were stunned when I said it was wrong."

Pat urged his followers — and "Wheel" fans — to get into the mindset of contestant.

"Now imagine you're on national TV, and you're suddenly thrown a curve and you begin getting worried about looking stupid, and if the feather isn't in your hat, where the heck can it be? You start flailing away looking for alternatives rather than synonyms for 'hat,'" he wrote. "And, of course, when it's solved, you want to crawl in a hole. I've been praised online for 'keeping it together' and not making fun of the players. Truth is, all I want to do is help to get them through it and convince them that those things happen even to very bright people. But mocking them online and calling them names?"

After the show, many could't believe what they witnessed. Actor Josh Gad tweeted a clip of the segment, adding, "God help us all." Business sports writer Darren Rovell tweeted, "The dumbest two minutes in Wheel of Fortune history."

Pat didn't take too kindly to those opinions.

"These are good people in a bad situation under a kind of stress that you can't begin to appreciate from the comfort of your couch. Good-natured laughter is one thing. Heck, they laughed at themselves. But, hey, cut them some slack. Unless you're there, you have no idea how different it is in the studio," he said. I have fun with players and I tease them occasionally, but when things go wrong, I feel for them, and I try to salve the wounds on camera and off. So, yeah, it was an oddly entertaining puzzle and it's okay to laugh at the situation. But have a little heart. After all, you may be there one day. And no one wants to be trending on Twitter."

Britney Spears details why she posts topless, risqué pics on Instagram

Britney Spears is hiding nothing from the world … and we do mean nothing!

Over the past several months, the pop star has often posted topless or even naked pictures of herself to Instagram, often times without much explanation. She did so again multiple times over the weekend. On March 1, she explained why her Instagram feed can sometimes be X-rated.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

"Alrightyyy then folks … showing my bod in French Polynesia as a rebel and free WOMAN !!!!" she captioned a non-scantily clad Instagram post. "I WILL DO BIG LETTERS CAUSE I THINK THAT MEANS IT'S IMPORTANT AND I DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT OUT … SHOWING THINGS OF IMPORTANCE …"

Fans were quick to back Britney, who has been in control of her own life ever since her 14-year conservatorship was terminated in November

"This is how freedom and autonomy should look. I can't imagine how it must feel," one person commented on a topless snap. Others called her a "Free Spirit." In fact, fans seemed to be most concerned about Brit's skin, as they implored her to use sunscreen.

The pop star is expected to open up about her conservatorship in the near future in a tell-all memoir. Page Six recently reported that Britney signed a book deal said to be worth as much as $15 million.

Judge declares Kim Kardashian legally single after Kanye fires lawyer

Kim Kardashian is direction-less… She's no longer a West.

On March 2, a judge granted Kim's request to be declared legally single, effectively ending her marriage to Kanye West. Kanye's new lawyer of less than a day did not object to the judge restoring Kim's single status.

Laurent Vu/SIPA/Shutterstock

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star attended the hearing via a video call, TMZ reported, but Kanye was MIA, which was somewhat expected. Kanye did score one small win. A judge granted the rapper's request that in the event that either of them dies, any right to get reimbursement of money that's supposed to be divided up will be preserved.

The judge, though, rejected Ye's request that Kim be forbidden from transferring any assets she has in a family trust.

Wednesday's hearing came just hours after Ye fired his latest divorce attorney and hired a new one. Since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, Kanye has had four divorce lawyers.

According to TMZ, Kanye often goes back and forth about his relationship with Kim. One day he wanted a divorce, the report said, but the next day he wanted to fight for his family. Kim had been steadfast in her desire to divorce.

Salma Hayek shares video of hilarious (and ill-timed!) wardrobe snafu with Fran Drescher

Stuck in the middle with you!

Salma Hayek was her usual stunning self at the SAG Awards over the weekend, but her evening was far from flawless. On March 1, the "House of Gucci" actress shared an Instagram video that showed her and Fran Drescher in the bathroom in the midst of a wardrobe snafu: Salma's glove somehow got stuck in Fran's dress!

"It's stuck," the Oscar-nominated actress told Fran as another woman worked feverishly to get them unstuck.

"I can't even believe it," Fran said while the Instagram video was being recorded. As the women stood there linked, Fran then pitched Salma on her "green council."

To make matters even more stressful, the incident happened just before Salma was set to go on stage and present the award for Male Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie. "You're coming out to present with me," Salma halfheartedly joked.

Funny enough, Salma was involved by proxy in another bathroom mishap moments later on stage. After announcing Michael Keaton's win for "Dopesick," she stood there by herself for a moment. Suddenly Michael came running to the stage and revealed that he'd gotten stuck in the bathroom!

"My glove got stuck on the great @officialfrandrescher dress, so I got stuck in the bathroom right before I had to present the award to @michaelkeatondouglas who was also stuck in the bathroom," Salma captioned the video.

Bob Saget's widow discusses her 'grief' nearly two months after his death

Bob Saget's widow, Kelly Rizzo, is learning to deal with her grief one day at a time, but the outpouring of support from friends, family and strangers is helping.

"I just wanted to take a second to say to everybody that it has not gone unnoticed. I have been incredibly grateful and appreciative of all of you for the love and support," she said in a series of videos posted to her Instagram Stories.

Charles Sykes/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

With the help of Instagram, Kelly has even become close with strangers over the past two months.

"So many people have shared their stories with me of the loss that you've been through, and you've poured out your heart, and it's just really kind that you've tried to help me by sharing your stories," she said. "This whole grief thing is something that I've learned recently. A lot of people don't really understand. You don't really like to talk about it. It's not a very fun topic, but it's something that at one point or another we all go through."

Bob died on Jan. 9 in his Orlando, Florida, hotel room. An autopsy revealed that the "Full House" star died from "blunt head trauma" after an accidental and unwitnessed fall, likely in the bathroom. There were no signs of foul play or drugs at the scene. He was 65.

In discussing her grief, Kelly said, "Even though I'm still very new to this world, I feel I've had kind of a crash course in it. Especially doing it very publicly, it adds a whole other level that takes it to this different place that you understand in a certain way."

The lifestyle blogger has tried to respond to as many well wishers as possible.

"I can assure you that the kindness you all have shown has been a little bright spot and has made this a bit easier," she said, fighting back tears. "And the thing that has really helped is seeing how much you all loved Bob because this outpouring is something, like, I don't think anybody has ever seen."

Heather and Terry Dubrow recall 'come-to-Jesus' moment that saved their marriage

Heather and Dr. Terry Dubrow never really came that close to splitting up after gaining reality TV fame, but they once had to have a very real talk about the state of their marriage as it started to show cracks.

Through it all, "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star and "Botched" surgeon managed to push through when so many marriages have fallen victim to reality TV.

Rob Latour/Variety/REX/Shutterstock

"We had one really bad, bad year where the show was affecting us," Heather told Page Six. "I think it may have been the first year Terry was on 'Botched,' and so we weren't together a lot because I was doing 'Housewives.' I was having a bad season. He was on 'Botched,' he was having a good season."

The differences were increasingly putting a strain on their marriage.

"We weren't communicating. There was there was just a lot going on and we had to have a real come-to-Jesus-moment and sit down," she said, noting they vowed to not "get a divorce over being on TV."

Tearing down a marriage because of TV fame is "not an acceptable thing to happen," Heather insisted.

For the duo, that was a turning point, and they've never looked back.

"In our 25 year relationship, we have been through every struggle. Intimacy struggles when I felt bad about myself, financial struggles, we've had lost several millions of dollars. We've had other kinds of things with our family," Terry said. "All the big-ticket items, we have learned how to get through them. We have very significant resources at this point in our relationship."

Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock

The couple, who married in 1999 and share four children, still quibble about silly things, but their foundation is strong. Heather and Terry have even added a new reality TV show to their stable, as they both star in E!'s new show "7 Year Stitch," which helps couples on the verge of a divorce repair their relationships.

In thinking about his own home life, Terry said, "You have to learn how to fight. That's a really important part of continuing on in a healthy relationship, to realize it's natural to have disagreements and big fights, it's just how you navigate those fights. You have to learn how to keep that level of respect [and] how to not say it… And we have tons of respect for each other."
