Britney Spears' manager stages 'career intervention,' begs her not to 'throw in the towel': Report

Britney Spears hasn't released an album since 2016, but one of her closest confidants is begging her to get into the game.

In fact, a source tells the Daily Mail that Cade Hudson, Brit's close friend and manager, staged a "career intervention" in Mexico recently, reportedly telling her she "cannot throw in the towel yet."

Rob Latour/Shutterstock

"Cade wants to see Britney get back to doing what she loves to do, as she is a talented artist," the source said. "He knows that she is still passionate about this."

"He wanted to have a career intervention and, at the same time, really help her to get back to herself," the source continued. "He told her she cannot throw in the towel yet and he has reminded her of who she really is."

If anyone can get through to Britney it might be Cade, as they two have been fiercely close for more than two decades, including the duration of her 13-year conservatorship. He's said to be one of the few people that the pop star actually trusts.

They recently vacationed together in Mexico without Britney's husband, Sam Asghari.

"Their time together has been super special and relaxing and has been eye opening for her, to say the least," the Mail's source said. "Working with Britney during her rise to fame has been one of Cade's proudest accomplishments in life. In the process, she became like family to him."

The alleged career intervention comes two months after those close to the "Toxic" singer supposedly felt that a life intervention was direly needed. Multiple reports claimed friends, business associates and others in Britney's inner circle have grown increasingly worried about her behavior and mental health… so much so that an intervention was planned — then suddenly scrappedTMZ reported, after Britney caught wind of it.

"I'm afraid she's gonna die," one source in regular contact with Britney told TMZ at the time.

Jennifer Lopez accused of 'flipping for a dollar' over 'off-brand money grab'

Jennifer Lopez is being skewered on social media for launching an alcohol brand despite the fact that she doesn't drink.

On Wednesday, April 5, the pop star formally announced the formation of Delola, an Italian coast-inspired beverage similar to Aperol.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

"I just wanted to create something better — something better tasting, better ingredients, something I would want to drink with my friends and family, and that is Delola," she said in a video.

While J.Lo might have expected her fans to applaud her latest business endeavor, the opposite happened: They accused her of a shameless cash grab.

"Jlo you don't drink. This is like something that is known and has been pointed out on numerous occasions. I mean….I get it- a coin is a coin- but mama you don't drink alcohol," one person commented on Instagram. According to Page Six, another added, "But you literally don't drink? This is such a money grab ugh."

Several fans wondered why Jen didn't create a non-alcoholic brand.

"Oh wow. This is disappointing," wrote one person. "Why not create a NA brand considering you've been outspoken about the negative effects of alcohol and that you yourself don't drink? This feels so off-brand for you, genuinely curious why you're selling alcohol."

Some people pointed out that her husband, Ben Affleck, has struggled with alcohol abuse in the past.

"For argument sake, sure it's business and it's about money, but it just seems fake AF to be promoting alcohol under the guise of 'living a little' when she talks about how bad alcohol is for her skin and is not part of her lifestyle (not to mention Ben's past issues). But hey, we'll all flip for a dollar right?" an annoyed fan opined.

Sofia Richie reveals she's converted to Judaism

Bride-to-be Sofia Richie is taking a big step as she nears her nuptials.

The model revealed on social media that she's converted to Judaism ahead of her wedding to fiancé Elliot Grainge.

"What a magical day," she wrote on her Instagram Story over a photo of herself signing a document written in Hebrew.

The daughter of Lionel Richie thanked a cantor, Nathan Lam, for helping her "along this journey of converting to Judaism." Alongside the image, which was published by Page Six, Sofia said her conversion "has been one of the greatest experiences of my life."

She concluded her message with five Star of David emojis. "Today was that day!!!" she said.

Sofia, 24, was raised Christian and even attended a Christian school in the Los Angeles area. Elliot was raised Jewish.

The couple began dating in 2021 and got engaged in April 2022.

Back in 2016, Sofia openly spoke of the importance of religion in her life, telling Complex magazine that she thought it was "really cool and important" to attend Bible study.

"First of all, you need to love yourself cause that's the only way you're going to get by and be OK as an individual," she said. "But it's important to make other people feel loved because you never know what they're going through."

Fired teachers at music star's unorthodox private school make troubling allegations about conditions for students in new lawsuit

Kanye West and his Donda Academy school are being sued by two fired teachers who claim multiple education, health and safety codes were violated, even insisting that bullying ran rampant and that students were forced to eat lunch on the floor.

The women both say they were fired as retaliation for sounding the alarm on the alleged violations, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

Among other things, the two women claim that students were given one lunch option every single day: sushi. Other than water, they were not allowed to bring any outside food or drink into the school, all but ensuring they only ate sushi. Ye also didn't want children using forks or utensils, the suit says.

Kanye, who reportedly spent $10,000 a week on sushi, also didn't allow chairs in the unaccredited Christian school, forcing children to sit on foam cushions or stand. While teaching, teachers were allowed to stand or use a stool.

The lawsuit continues to paint a troubling picture of an unorthodox school, as the teachers allege Ye didn't allow crossword puzzles or coloring sheets, and they say all classrooms were on the first floor of the building because the rapper is "afraid of stairs."

According to TMZ, the suit also claims Kanye did not allow artwork to be hung on walls, and no one was allowed to wear jewelry because he simply "did not like jewelry." Students were also forbidden from wearing Nike and Adidas products and were required to dress in black from head to toe.

Also, Donda Academy didn't have a janitor and there were no trashcans outside classrooms or in the kitchen, the suit says. Allegedly, there wasn't a school nurse on staff, and student medications were stored unsecured in a closet with other expired medications.

The women further claim the building's doors were locked and students were not allow to venture outside until school was out for the day. Even recess was held indoors at all times.

Teaching, the women claim, was complicated by the fact that no lesson plans or proper disciplinary procedures were in place. The school, they say, was rife with bullying and physical assaults against peers and teachers.

Citing the lawsuit, the webloid says the women tried to bring attention to these issues but were "threatened" and told not to reach out to Kanye under any circumstances. Also, the women say the school consistently stiffed them in their paychecks by upwards of $2,700 per pay period.

Ultimately, the women — who are both Black — were fired, which they attribute to racial discrimination and retaliation.

The Donda Academy has had a topsy-turvy few months, and the drama appeared to be tied to Kanye's antisemitic rants last fall. On Oct. 27, 2022, Donda Academy announced that it was shuttering for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year, "effective immediately." The school's principal claimed they would reopen for the 2023-2024 school year, but shortly after, parents received an email from the school claiming it had reopened.

Scarlett Johansson says her ego is 'too fragile' to be on social

Scarlett Johansson just doesn't have a strong enough mentality to deal with social media.

The actress appeared on Dear Media's "The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast" and was asked why she's not on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok or any other social media forum.

"I can't. My ego is too fragile," she said. "I can't deal with it. My brain is too fragile. I'm like a delicate flower."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

That's not to say the "Black Widow" star hasn't briefly dabbled in social media. In fact, she recalled the one time she "wasted 17 minutes" looking at a single profile of someone she didn't really even know.

"I spent 20 minutes looking at somebody's Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine … like, now I know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in Burbank," she said. "I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog and change my life in all these ways. I felt so bad, like I was missing out on this random person's life."

Rob Latour/Shutterstock

Back in 2011, the two-time Oscar nominee said she eschewed social media because she didn't "feel the need to" brand herself "in that way."

She does, however, occasionally appear in videos on the Instagram and TikTok pages for her skincare company, The Outset.

"I mean, it's definitely fun. Anytime I see it in the office, I then become a 3-year-old with their mom's phone where I'm completely absorbed into it," she said of seeing the company's account. "It's fun, though."
