Rihanna said yes! OK, it was just a music video, but fans of the expectant star and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, were treated to a wedding scene nonetheless in a video for Rocky's new song, "D.M.B," on Thursday, May 5. Written, directed and produced by Rocky, the video was shot in New York City last summer, according to People, which explains why Rih's belly is not its current third-trimester-of-pregnancy size. The video shows the couple falling in love in various settings before they tie the knot, with Rihanna decked out in a red gown and veil. "I was lost then, but I found you / I was slim thick with a bounce too," Rocky raps in the single, which was reportedly intended to serve as an "ode to the classic love story," per People. In real life, it's been a rough few weeks for Rihanna and Rocky's love story. After the couple arrived from Barbados at Los Angeles International Airport in April, they were greeted by police who arrested the rapper in connection with a November 2021 shooting. He was released from jail later that day.

More than three decades after "Top Gun" first hit theaters, Tom Cruise proved he still feels the need for speed by showing up at the world premiere of "Top Gun: Maverick" in the Maverick-branded helicopter he's been piloting since the film went into production. After stepping out of the chopper in a suit and aviator shades to join Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly and more of his castmates on the USS Midway in San Diego, Calif., on Wednesday, May 4, Tom told ET, "I do fly that helicopter, but not today." The 59-year-old star also chatted with press about what it was like to play Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell 36 years later and why the premiere meant so much to him. After "years" of "lockdown and shooting … I'm seeing faces again and this is humanity back, you know? It's an honor to be here for me," he explained. Asked about similarities and differences between the original film and the new follow-up, Tom replied: "I wanted to let the audience know you're in safe hands. But it's also, how do you measure how much is too much? We're not going to do a cover of the first one. It has to have its own story." He went on to say the two movies "have to be chapters" of the same narrative, "not something that is visually and story-wise the same character and same kind of world." "Top Gun: Maverick" hits theaters May 27.

Kim Kardashian reveals why Kanye West stormed out of 'SNL' during her monologue

Last year, when Kim Kardashian hosted "Saturday Night Live" for the first time, Kanye West reportedly helped with some of her jokes and even flew across the country to support her when she took the stage. But he apparently stormed out of the studio before his ex was even done with her monologue. As viewers learned on this week's edition of "The Kardashians," Kanye's feathers were ruffled by two specific things Kim said in her opening chat. "He walked out on 'SNL' like mid-monologue, so I haven't talked to him since," Kim told her sister Khloé Kardashian in a scene from the May 4 episode, filmed in October 2021. "He's upset over the fact that I said the reason I divorced him – used the word 'divorced' – he wished I'd said the word 'filed for divorce.' And he's upset that I also used the word 'rapper.' He said, 'I'm so much more than a rapper. I can't believe you said rapper.'" In her monologue last fall, Kim set up the joke in question with: "I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he's the richest black man in America, a talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids." Then came the punchline: "So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality." (The Skims creator filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021.) Speaking to Khloe on the Hulu show, Kim continued: "I've sat there through so many speeches that have not been the most comfortable for me, but that was my partner and I stood by him. I would never embarrass him and walk out and leave … He's so used to getting exactly what he wants … I've never seen anything like it. Good for him, but hey, it's not going to happen here." In a confessional, Kim explained she joked about herself and the rest of her family throughout the monologue and said her ex took the comments too much to heart. "I never want to offend anyone and I never want to hurt anyone, but also that's what this monologue was for; it was to make a joke," she said. "I made fun of myself, I made fun of my mom, I made fun of everything that's personal to me and it's all fun and games and apparently it wasn't to him." Kim previously told i-D magazine everyone in her family gave her a green light on teasing them on "SNL." She said the only joke she yanked was one about Khloe and her ex, Tristan Thompson.

Amber Heard testifies against Johnny Depp: 'nothing I did made him stop hitting me'

Amber Heard returned to the stand for her second day of testimony in Johnny Depp's defamation trial on Thursday, May 5, where she told the court she got physical with her then-husband, Johnny, only after he allegedly hit her repeatedly. While a former marriage counselor for the couple has testified she witnessed "mutual abuse" between the actors, Johnny has denied Amber's claims both in and out of court. "In these fights, I would try to stand up for myself," Amber said at one point no Thursday, according to People. "By December 2014, I was pushing back, I'd push him off me, I tried to hit his hands away. I tried to always get back up, which would sometimes — not sometimes, almost always made it worse, always seemed to provoke him. But I tried," she continues. "I would yell at him, scream at him. I'd call him ugly names. So ashamed of the names we'd call each other. It was awful. And we both got into that pattern. I felt so angry that this was happening to me, and it just felt so unfair." She went on to claim, "Nothing I did made him stop hitting me," including her alleged approach of "just not responding physically, not responding verbally, just staring at him." She said she also "tried going to a different place" and attempted "to threaten that if he hit me again that I would call the police." She added, "police were called several times," she said. "I tried to do everything. I even threatened to leave him — tried to leave him. Nothing was working. And I think by this point in our relationship, we're both saying awful things to each other, screaming at each other and, unfortunately, when Johnny would start hitting me, he'd just win. I don't know how else to describe it." She has also testified that Johnny sexually assaulted her during their marriage. Johnny filed the $50 million suit against Amber over a 2018 op-ed in which she described surviving domestic abuse. She did not name him, but he claims he was understood to have been her attacker.

In 2019, before the pandemic threw its years-long wrench in Hollywood budgets and plans, Mike Myers told Entertainment Weekly he was "working on making" another Austin Powers movie "a reality." That was the last we heard of a future for the "international man of mystery" and his nemesis, Dr. Evil — until now. In a new interview with Jess Cagle on his Sirius XM show, Mike was asked about a possible return to the franchise. "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project, should it exist or not exist," he quipped, adding that he'd "love" to reprise his multiple roles in the franchise. Jess's co-host Julia Cunningham heard that as a probable "yeah, baby!" "It feels like 'yes,' I'm sorry. It feels like you want to say yes," she said. "It feels like a confirmation that it's gonna be announced," Jess said in agreement. Mike stuck with his cryptic humor about the whole thing, though, telling the co-hosts his comment "was a non-confirmed confirmation confirmation." According to EW, the Austin Powers trilogy has grossed more than $677 million since it launched in 1997.

Hoda Kotb's daughters couldn't wait for May 8 to celebrate their love for their mom this year. "Mother's Day came early. Lucky me #melting," the "Today" host captioned an Instagram video this week that showed her daughters, Haley, 5, and Hope, 3, holding hands as they lead Hoda down the stairs in their PJs. The walkabout turned out to be a series of surprises the girls had set up in advance to honor their mom. "If you look ahead, there's a special note on one stair," Haley told Hoda. When her little sister hollered, "I see it!" Haley reminded her, "It's for mommy." The note was a pencil-scrawled, "Happy Mother's Day," with a few letters adorably written on top of each other. Hope then asked if it was Mother's Day and Haley said it was not — then she paused. "Or is it Mothers Day?" Haley asked Hoda, who clarified that it was coming up "next week." Once everyone got downstairs, the girls sang "Happy Birthday" to their mom, filling in "Happy Mother's Day" instead. On the table waiting for Hoda were school pictures of Haley and Hope and a cup of coffee. They'd also made drawings and posted them around the room. The icing on the cake was a box of raisins, which Hope presented to Hoda, who by then was welling up and telling them "thank you" and "I love you." "All I heard was, 'Go upstairs for 15 minutes,' which kind of scared me,'" Hoda said with a laugh to Willie Geist on "Today" on Wednesday, May 4. "I was like, 'OK.' And I came down. Haley made a cup of coffee. She made it in the Keurig … She goes, 'I used an oven mitt, and I brought it over.' I was like, 'That could have been a disaster,'" Hoda joked. Getting more serious — and emotional — she praised their hard work, telling Willie, "They spent time making something all by themselves." Hoda adopted her daughters with her then-partner Joel Schiffman. The pair announced in January that they'd called time on their relationship and engagement.

Hollywood is reacting to the attack that knocked Dave Chappelle to the ground at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this week, after an audience member jumped onstage and tackled the comic during the Netflix is a Joke festival. Police arrested and charged 23-year-old Isaiah Lee with a felony of assault with a deadly weapon after the incident on on Tuesday, May 3. And although Dave was unscathed by the assault, it left stars including Madonna, who was at the show, and comic Howie Mandel, a bit shaken. "Last Night was Strange……….,And disturbing for so many reasons!" Madge posted on social media, sharing a selfie with her all-access pass from the show. "The World is upside down. 🙏🏼. #davechappelle," she added. Howie, meanwhile, told press he's now anxious about performing again. "Not to comment on what happened at the Academy Awards, but I thought that that opened the flood gates," he told E! News one day after the incident. "We're already as comedians being attacked as far as being canceled for something that you don't like, something that you find offensive, something that you think is too soon," he said. "You saw what happened at the Academy Awards, and I thought that just triggers — violence triggers violence. And I think this is the beginning of the end for comedy." On "Extra" later that day, he admitted he's now "afraid" to go onstage himself. Howard Stern had a different perspective on "The Howard Stern Show" on Wednesday. "This guy jumped up onstage and attacked Dave Chappelle," Howard said, per Page Six. "As soon as that happened, did they let him go back to his seat and laugh and sit next to his wife and then give them an award? No! They took him backstage, they broke his arms and hands so bad." In a statement, Dave's rep said, "As unfortunate and unsettling as the incident was, Chappelle went on with the show," adding, "Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock helped calm the crowd with humor before Chappelle introduced the last and featured musical guests for the evening." The attacker reportedly was carrying a "knife blade" when he went after Dave, who is "fully cooperating" with police, according to CNN.

The former race car driver opened up about her health on Instagram on Wednesday, March 4, just a week after getting her breast implants removed.

"I wish I could of told this 32 year old girl that boobs won't make you more perfect or have it all or be more feminine," she wrote alongside a throwback photo in a bikini, which was taken before she had implants.

"These were my reasons and to me these narratives are the problem. Implants just feed into it. Culture feeds into it. Social media feeds into it. Filters feed into it. Unhealed trauma feeds into it," she said. "The work is always an inside job. The real question is – how can I do the emotional work to see myself as perfect, having it all, and feminine? When we do that, we won't seek outside validation or a way to get it."

On April 27, Danica got her 7-year-old implants removed after she believed they were poisoning her. She clearly wishes she would have never gotten them.

"The world is just a mirror to show us where we are not healed," she wrote on social media. "Super grateful to be feeling better so quickly. To be clear, the transparency of the dangers of implants are an issue. I also understand that mastectomy's require options. However, all I'm saying is, if we don't have an insecurity issue… any potential risk or danger go away."

In a separate post, Danica, 40, said she feels less inflammation after the explant surgery.

"The last couple years have been a very frustrating journey with my body," she said. "Thank god it's finally letting go of the inflammation to me from my toxic implants."

Sophie Turner reveals how 'live-in therapist' helped her manage anxiety, eating disorder

With one little girl at home and another baby on the way, Sophie Turner is adamant about protecting her family from unwanted attention, particularly because of how its affected her own mental health in the past. In a new interview with Elle UK, the former "Game of Thrones" star, 26, confirms she's expecting another child with husband Joe Jonas. She also opens up about her experience with an eating disorder that led to her hiring a "live-in therapist." It was that counselor, she says, who helped her stop "spinning out" about negative feedback on social media, which she now mostly avoids. "And my daughter never asked for any of this," Sophie says of the attention on her family. "I know what it can do to your mental health to be in this industry, and to be photographed every day and have the comments. It's not something I want her to deal with unless she says, 'This is what I want to do.'" Describing her "love-hate relationship with social media," Sophie admits what she sees in online comments could "completely consume" her were it not for one great piece of advice she was given. "For a long time, I was quite sick with an eating disorder and I had a companion … It's a live-in therapist, who would ensure I wasn't doing anything unhealthy with my eating habits," she explains. "One night, I was playing over and over in my mind a comment I'd seen on Instagram. I was like, 'I'm so fat, I'm so undesirable,' and spinning out. She said to me, 'You know, no one actually cares. I know you think this, but nobody else is thinking it. You're not that important.' That was the best thing anyone could have told me." Today, Sophie goes to therapy weekly and keeps Instagram off her phone because it makes her "incredibly anxious." Now, she says her depression and anxiety issues are "manageable," telling Elle: " I have the tools. I know what's good for me and what's not good for me. I know what I have to do to get myself in a good headspace. It's not debilitating – I know how to get myself out of it."

Chris Rock reacts to Dave Chappelle being attacked on stage: 'Was that Will Smith?'

Chris Rock has largely avoided talking about the now-infamous moment Will Smith slapped him on stage at the 2022 Oscars — that changed when a man rushed the stage at this week's Netflix Is a Joke Festival and tried to tackle Dave Chappelle. On Tuesday, May 3, Dave was at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles introducing Black Star when a man police have since identified as Isaiah Lee, 23, ran onto the stage and knocked Dave onto the ground, according to People. Chris, who performed earlier at the festival, along with Jamie Foxx and others bolted over to help the comic as security grabbed Dave's attacker. "Everybody compose themselves. I want this to be a peaceful moment," said Dave, who was reportedly uninjured in the attack. Chris, meanwhile, couldn't help but make a crack about Oscars incident, joking, "I thought that was Will Smith!" A rep for the Los Angeles Police Department later told People the man who rushed the stage has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon and was carrying "a replica handgun with a knife." As of Wednesday afternoon, he was being held in police custody on $30,000 bond, according to the outlet. A rep for Dave later issued a statement that said the comic "refuses to allow last night's incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment."

Kim Cattrall gets candid about the 'Sex and the City' reboot

In a new interview with Variety, Kim Cattrall finally addresses how the writers of HBO Max's "Sex and the City" reboot, "And Just Like That," dealt with her refusal to reprise her Samantha Jones role. She also weighs in on whether she was "ever friends with" her former "SATC" co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, or if things were "always contentious" between them. "I guess it's how you define friends," Kim, 65, told the outlet in a Q&A published in its 2022 Women in Power issue. "I think we were colleagues. My colleagues aren't my friends. It was professional," she added. As for the way the rebooted series dealt with Samantha's absence — by establishing she'd moved to London amid a rift with former pal, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica), then interspersing the episodes with texts from Samantha and references to her life abroad — Kim sounded unimpressed. "It's odd, isn't it? I don't know how to feel about it," she said. Kim Kardashian on marrying again: 'Fourth time's the charm!'

As Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's romance continues to blossom, a scene from the next episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians" features Kim's thoughts on whether she'd marry again. And it sounds like the answer (albeit a premature one) is yes. In a teaser clip for the Thursday, May 5 episode, Kim is talking about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's wedding plans with her mom, Kris Jenner, and engaged friends, Simon Huck and Phil Riportella. When Kris predicts Kravis won't "wait too long to get married," Kim points out that they were already trying to have a baby. "To me, a baby you're stuck for life," Kim says. Dolly Parton voted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame despite initially bowing out

It's a good thing Dolly Parton had a change of heart about declining her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination — because she was voted in, anyway. On Wednesday, May 4, the Rock Hall announced Dolly will join a 2022 class of inductees that also includes Eminem, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, the Eurythmics, Duran Duran and Pat Benatar this year. Dolly, 76, said on social media in March that while she was "flattered and grateful to be nominated" this year, she didn't think she'd "earned that right" to compete against artists whose music is truly rock. In order to avoid taking votes away from such artists, she said she would "respectfully bow out" of her nomination. The Rock Hall responded by clarifying that ballots were already in the hands of voters and that inductees are "not defined by any one genre." Speaking to NPR last month, the country legend conceded that she would accept the honor were she offered it. "It was always my belief that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was for the people in rock music, and I have found out lately that it's not necessarily that," she explained. "… If they can't go there to be recognized, where do they go? So I just felt like I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it, certainly more than me, because I never considered myself a rock artist." In an announcement about this year's inductees, Rock Hall chairman John Sykes said "each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock 'n' roll." The induction ceremony is slated to be held Nov. 5 in Los Angeles.

Blac Chyna's mom launches $400k GoFundMe to appeal Kardashian-Jenner defamation suit ruling

In the wake of Blac Chyna's courtroom loss to the Kardashian-Jenner family, Chyna's mom, Tokyo Toni, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the cost of appealing the defamation suit. Chyna filed suit against the reality star relatives on grounds they intentionally damaged her career and tanked any possibility of a second season for the reality show she starred in alongside Rob Kardashian, "Rob & Chyna." Her mom, who was banned from the courtroom for her behavior during the two-week proceedings, dubbed the new GoFundMe, "Cheering for Blac Chyna" and is asking for $400,000 in donations. As of Wednesday afternoon, she'd raised just over $800. In a statement to Page Six after the ruling, Chyna's lawyer, Lynne Ciani noted, "the jury found that Chyna had not physically abused Rob," seemingly claiming that as a semi-win. "Number two," she continued, "the jury found that all four defendants intentionally interfered with [Chyna's] contracts with the E! Network. We will appeal the remainder of the verdict."

Demi Lovato shows off new 'duality' tattoos after adjusting their pronouns

"Duality." That's how Demi Lovato captioned a shot of their new tattoos on social media this week, showing off the brand new black words "love" on one shoulder and "fear" on the other. The new "duality" ink post surfaced shortly after the nonbinary singer adjusted their pronouns on Instagram, tacking on "she/her" beside "they/them." It's been a busy year for Demi in the tattoo department, according to Page Six. In addition to "love" and "fear," the singer's added song lyrics (to Beautiful Chorus' "Infinite Universe") to their hand, a large spider image to their head (when it was shaved) and the words "choose love" to their arm. Demi came out as nonbinary in May 2021, explaining on a podcast at the time that they felt they/them "best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am, and am still discovering."

Khloe Kardashian live tweets about Tristan during poorly-aged 'Kardashians' episode

Oh, how hindsight is 20/20.

On Thursday's episode of the "The Kardashians," Khloé Kardashian spoke happily about how she and Tristan Thompson had reconciled, even praising the NBA player about the "effort" he was putting into making their relationship work.

It's believed the episode was filmed in October 2021, two months before it was revealed that Tristan fathered a child with fitness model Maralee Nichols. The date of conception was during the time he and Khloe were officially back together.

Khloe's tweet came while saying on the reality TV show that she was "hopeful" about life with Tristan.

"When we broke up, I learned how well him and I got along and what good friends we are and what good partners we are," she said, "and I have a lot of hope and faith and optimism for our future together."

Soon, that would all blow up after Maralee's pregnancy was reported. Of course, Khloe has been a bit of an apologist for Tristan, despite his repeated unfaithfulness to her.

Back in 2018, just two days before Khloe gave birth to she and Tristan's daughter True, videos emerged of him cheating on the reality TV star with several women. In the following days, he was then linked to even more women.

Khloe stayed with him through all the allegations and videos.

Then, in 2019, he was again accused of cheating on Khloe, this time with Kylie Jenner's then-BFF Jordyn Woods. In the fallout, Khloe split with her beau but blamed Jordyn for the alleged hookup, which also resulted her Kylie removing her longtime pal from her life. Khloe flat out said Jordyn — not Tristan — was the reason for the family fracture.

Fans, though, turned on Khloe and ripped her for backing the Chicago Bulls player. Soon after, she changed her tune. Almost immediately, Tristan tried winning Khloe back and he often left flirty comments on her Instagram. As time went on, a reconciliation seemed imminent. In 2020, the duo officially reconciled and Khloe tweeted that the entire Jordyn-Tristan incident was "hearsay."

Then, in 2021, an Instagram model said she was intimate with Tristan, too, but claimed he told her that he was single at the time.

Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman reportedly set wedding date — and it's soon!

Simon Cowell will be a married man next month, according to a new report.

The "America's Got Talent" host and longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman have set a June wedding date in London, and their 8-year-old son, Eric, will be involved, The Sun reported.

"Simon cannot wait to have Lauren as his wife and didn't see the point in delaying it. He has taken charge of the planning and the date has been set for June," a source told the British publication. "The ceremony is going to take place in London, with their son Eric front and center, naturally."

The source added, "It's been a long time coming and now Simon wants to get Lauren up the aisle as quickly as he can."

The 62-year-old music mogul first met Lauren, 44, in 2004 while she was married to one of his good friends. They went public with their relationship in 2013, and Lauren soon announced she was pregnant. Last Christmas Eve, Simon popped the question in front of Eric and Lauren's son from a previous marriage.

Count Lili Reinhart as someone who didn't want to see Kim Kardashian wearing Marilyn Monroe's dress at the 2022 Met Gala… however, it's not because she thinks the reality TV star isn't worthy.

The "Riverdale" actress is slamming Kim for undergoing an extreme diet in order to fit into the dress.

"To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are… because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month…all to fit in a f****** dress?" Lili wrote on her Instagram Story. "So wrong. So f***ed on 100s of levels."

While Lili didn't mention "The Kardashians" star by name, it was clear who she was talking about, as Kim told Vogue that she lost 16 pounds in three weeks via diet and exercise in order to fit into the iconic dress Marilyn wore in 1962 while singing "Happy Birthday" to President John F. Kennedy.

After the Met Gala on May 2, Kim indulged in doughnuts and pizza because she was "starving."

"I haven't had carbs or sugar in almost a month, definitely three weeks," she said, equating it to "preparing for a role."

Lili, though, saw little redeeming about the situation.

"To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting," she wrote.

The 25-year-old, who has suffered from body dysmorphia, urged her social media followers to essentially boycott "stupid, harmful, celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies."

In concluding her fiery post, she added, "I am not generally an angry person but I swear to God, the toxicity of this industry sometimes really gets to me and I have to do my little Instagram-story rants to release my rage."

It's been more than four decades since the "Star Wars" franchise debuted with 1977's "A New Hope." Since then, the galaxy far, far away has expanded to include a prequel trilogy, a sequel trilogy, several animated series, a handful of spinoff films, two live-action TV shows and much, much more. In honor of Star Wars Day on May 4 — as in "May the 4th be with you" — Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at early and former "Star Wars" cast members to see how their lives have changed over the years.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Mark Hamill was a young and relatively unknown actor who won the role of Luke Skywalker in 1977's "Star Wars," which would later become "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope."

In an attempt to avoid being typecast as Luke Skywalker-esque characters, Mark Hamill turned to Broadway. He then enjoyed a second calling as a voiceover actor, voicing characters on "Batman: The Animated Series," "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance," "Regular Show" and "Metalocalypse." He also voiced Chucky in the 2019 "Child's Play" remake, had stints on "Knightfall" and "The Flash" and popped up in 2014's "Kingsman: The Secret Service." He married dental hygienist Marilou York a year after "A New Hope" debuted. (They've since welcomed three children.) He's returned to the role of Luke Skywalker several times over the years, most recently on an episode of "The Book of Boba Fett" in early 2022.

Harrison Ford was a star on the rise when he won the part of Han Solo, the captain of the Millennium Falcon in 1977's "A New Hope."

Despite his fame and success playing iconic characters like Indiana Jones and Han Solo, Harrison Ford is easily one of the most private stars in Hollywood. In 2010, he wed Calista Flockhart after an eight-year courtship. (They're parents to her adopted son, Liam.) He was married twice before: He and Mary Marquardt, with whom he has two sons, divorced two years after "A New Hope" debuted, while he and screenwriter Melissa Mathison, with whom he has a son and a daughter, separated in 2000 following nearly two decades of marriage. Harrison's other biggest hits include "Blade Runner," "Witness," for which he earned an Oscar nomination, "Patriot Games," "The Fugitive" and "Sabrina." In recent years, he's returned to several of his most iconic roles: Han Solo in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, Rick Deckard in 2017's "Blade Runner 2049" and the titular archaeologist in an upcoming fifth installment in the "Indiana Jones" film franchise.

Carrie Fisher beat out actresses including Jane Fonda, Meryl Streep and Diana Ross for the role of the beautiful but tough Princess Leia Organa.

Carrie Fisher went on to appear in "The Man with One Red Shoe," "Hannah and Her Sisters," "When Harry Met Sally" and more, though she turned to mostly smaller films, voice work and guest-starring spots on TV following the '90s. She actually thrived behind the scenes and became a script doctor, performing uncredited polishes on movies like "The Wedding Singer" and "Sister Act." She also wrote and starred in a one-woman play, "Wishful Drinking," that enjoyed a successful Broadway run and became the basis for her book of the same name — one of several works she penned. It also inspired an Emmy-nominated HBO special. (Additionally, she scored Emmy nominations for her guest-starring roles on "30 Rock" and "Catastrophe.") The beloved daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer-actor Eddie Fisher — who was briefly married to Paul Simon in the early '80s and welcomed a daughter, actress Billie Lourd, with former partner Bryan Lourd — claimed in her 2016 memoir, "The Princess Diarist," that she and Harrison Ford had an affair while shooting "A New Hope." Sadly, Carrie — who was open about her struggles with bipolar disorder and addiction over the years — died of cardiac arrest at the age of 60 in late 2016. (Multiple drugs were in her system at the time of her death.) She returned to the role of Princess Leia — now known as General Organa — in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, which was filmed before her death.

The charming Billy Dee Williams was the perfect fit for the role of equally charming Lando Calrissian in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." Like his pal Han Solo, the former con artist was a scoundrel who ultimately put his own interests aside to assist the Rebel Alliance in their time of need.

Billy Dee Williams is fond of his "Star Wars" alter ego: He's voiced Lando on episodes of "Robot Chicken," "The Cleveland Show" and "Star Wars Rebels" as well as in "The Lego Movie" and several video games. He then returned the role for the first time on-screen in nearly 40 years in 2019's "The Rise of Skywalker." His other biggest hits include 1989's "Batman," in which he portrayed Harvey Dent, "The Ladies Man," "Undercover Brother" and the 2017 "Dirty Dancing" made-for-TV movie. He also had stints on "NCIS" and "General Hospital" and is an accomplished artist — his paintings have appeared in solo exhibitions around the country and are hanging in the National Portrait Gallery and the Smithsonian. He has been married three times and has three children from two of those marriages.

Hayden Christensen portrayed Anakin Skywalker in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith," beating out superstars Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Phillippe for the role of the Jedi Knight on a tragic path to the dark side.

Hayden Christensen received mixed reviews for his performance as Anakin Skywalker in "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith" — he even won two Razzie Awards for worst supporting actor. Sadly, the former Golden Globe nominee's career never fully recovered. He starred in "Factory Girl," "Awake" and "Takers" as well as "Jumper," "New York, I Love You" and "American Heist" — all of which featured his longtime off-and-on partner Rachel Bilson. The duo, who got engaged in late 2008, welcomed a daughter, Briar Rose, in 2014. They called it quits for good in 2017 amid reports that he had an inappropriate relationship with Emma Roberts, his co-star in 2018's "Little Italy." Hayden is set to portray Darth Vader on the upcoming Disney+ series "Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Before Hayden Christensen took on the older version of the role, sweet-faced Jake Lloyd portrayed Anakin Skywalker in "The Phantom Menace."

Aside from voicing young Anakin in a series of video games, Jake Lloyd only acted once more after "The Phantom Menace" debuted: in the sports drama "Maddison," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001 but didn't land in theaters until 2005. After he retired from acting over the cruel bullying he suffered from classmates, he retreated from public life — save for the occasional convention appearance. In 2012, he said that he destroyed all his "Star Wars" memorabilia and that he refused to re-watch the films. The former child star, who reportedly studied psychology at Chicago's Columbia College, landed in hot water with the law in 2015 when he was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license and resisting arrest after leading police on a high-speed car chase. Jake, who suffers from schizophrenia, spent some time behind bars before he was transferred to a psychiatric facility.

James Earl Jones voiced Darth Vader in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, while English bodybuilder David Prowse was the man inside the iconic costume.

James Earl Jones — who turned 90 in 2021 — went on to star in "Coming to America," "Field of Dreams," "The Hunt for Red October," "The Sandlot" and more. He also voiced Mufasa in "The Lion King" (both the original 1994 cartoon and the 2019 remake), continued his long-running Broadway career and racked up Emmy nominations for his work on "By Dawn's Early Light," "Heat Wave, "Gabriel's Fire," for which he won in 1991, "Picket Fences," "Under One Roof," "Frasier" and "Everwood." The Oscar-nominated actor, who voiced Darth Vader in 2016's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," returned to the role of King Jaffe Joffer in the 2021 sequel "Coming 2 America." In 1982, he married his second wife, actress Cecilia Hart, with whom he has one son. She died in 2016.

Alec Guinness starred as Luke Skywalker's mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi — who'd been living in solitude under the name Ben Kenobi — in 1977's "A New Hope."

Alec Guinness was already an Oscar winner by the time he was cast in "Star Wars." He actually earned another Academy Award nomination for his work as Obi-Wan Kenobi in "A New Hope." Two years later, he took home an honorary Oscar, and in 1989, he scored yet another nomination for his work in "Little Dorrit." His other biggest hits include an Emmy-nominated turn on "Smiley's People," the "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" miniseries and 1984's "A Passage to India." The English actor, who released three memoirs between 1985 and 1999, wed actress-playwright Merula Sylvia Salaman in 1938. They had one son, actor Matthew Guinness, and were still together when Alec died at 86 in 2000 from liver cancer.

Ewan McGregor won the role of young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy. During filming, the Scottish star took special care to ensure that his portrayal of the Jedi Master closely resembled the speech and mannerisms of the original Alec Guinness version of the character.

Ewan McGregor — who's set to return to the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi on an upcoming Disney+ series — has starred in a number of buzzed-about projects since his first stint in the galaxy far, far away. In 2013, he earned a Golden Globe nomination (his second) for his performance in "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen." Five years later, he won his first Globe for his work on "Fargo," for which he also scored an Emmy nomination. His time on the TV show is memorable for another reason, though: In 2017, the Scottish star left his wife of more than two decades — Eve Mavrakis, with whom he shares four daughters — and quickly moved on with co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, with whom he connected on set. They welcomed a son, Laurie, in June 2020 and tied the knot in April 2022. His other biggest hits include "August: Osage County," "The Impossible," "Angels & Demons" and the 2017 live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast," in which he voiced Lumière. In recent years, he's starred as the adult version of Danny Torrance in 2019's "Doctor Sleep," shared the screen with his second wife in 2020's "Birds of Prey" and portrayed the titular designer in the 2021 miniseries "Halston," for which he finally won an Emmy.

George Lucas chose acclaimed actor Liam Neeson to play Obi-Wan Kenobi's mentor, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, in 1999's "The Phantom Menace." It was Qui-Gon who discovered the Force in young slave boy Anakin Skywalker and took him under his wing.

Liam Neeson went on to star in a wide range of films — from "Gangs of New York" and "Kingdom of Heaven" to "Love, Actually" and the 2010 reboot of "The A-Team." He also starred in the "Taken" franchise, appeared in Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy and voiced Aslan in the three mid-aughts "The Chronicles of Narnia" movies. In recent years, he's churned out an insane amount of movies — most notably "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs," "Widows" and "Men in Black: International." Sadly, Liam experienced tragedy in 2009 when his wife of 15 years, Natasha Richardson, died after suffering a head injury during a skiing lesson. Their sons were born in 1995 and 1996.

Natalie Portman graced the screen as Padmé Amidala in all three "Star Wars" prequel films. She fell madly in love with Jedi Anakin Skywalker — and died of a broken heart after he turned to the dark side.

In 2005, the same year she said goodbye to the "Star Wars" franchise, Natalie Portman earned her first Academy Award nomination for her work in "Closer." Six years later, she took home her first Oscar for her performance in "Black Swan." The film also marked a major win in her personal life: She fell in love with choreographer Benjamin Millepied, whom she married in 2012. Their son, Aleph, was born in 2011, and their daughter, Amalia, arrived in 2017. The former child star — who made her feature film directorial debut with 2015's "A Tale of Love and Darkness" — earned her third Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in 2016's "Jackie." Her other biggest hits include "V for Vendetta," "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "Annihilation." She's also known for her work as Jane Foster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe — she's set to return to the role in July 2022 in "Thor: Love and Thunder."

Peter Mayhew — whose height was the result of Marfan Syndrome — was the perfect choice to play Han Solo's tall, furry companion Chewbacca in the first six "Star Wars" films. He didn't provide Chewie's iconic voice, though. That was the work of sound designer Ben Burtt, who created the Wookiee's distinctive roar by mixing the growls of different animals.

Peter Mayhew didn't act much outside of the "Star Wars" franchise. He starred on the short-lived 1981 series "Dark Towers," voiced a character in a 1997 "Dragon Ball" movie, portrayed a version of himself on an episode of the 2012 series "Breaking In" and had small roles in the indie films "Killer Ink" and "Yesterday Was a Lie." The English actor reportedly married his wife, Angelique, in 1999 and moved to her native Texas, where they raised three daughters and he eventually became a U.S. citizen. Peter also wrote two children's books: "Growing Up Giant" and "My Favorite Giant." He retired from the role of Chewbacca due to health issues following 2015's "The Force Awakens" and died of a heart attack at 74 in April 2019.

In what seems like an impossible feat — considering his speech consists of only electronic tones — R2-D2 easily became one of the most beloved characters in the "Star Wars" franchise. Actor Kenny Baker, who has dwarfism, brought life to the feisty and spirited droid in the first six films in the franchise.

Kenny Baker's biggest hits outside of the "Star Wars" franchise are "Flash Gordon," "The Elephant Man," "Time Bandits," "Amadeus," "Labyrinth" and "Willow." He also appeared in the 1982 made-for-TV movies "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Ivanhoe," starred on the BBC miniseries "Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader," tried his hand at stand-up comedy in the late '90s and released a 2009 memoir, "From Tiny Acorns: The Kenny Baker Story." He portrayed R2-D2 in the first six "Star Wars" films — through "Revenge of the Sith" — and served as a consultant on 2015's "The Force Awakens." The English actor, who was married to actress Eileen Baker for more than two decades until her death in the early '90s, died at 81 in 2016. He had two sons with his wife and an alleged third child with another woman before he and Eileen tied the knot. He did not recognize his oldest son as his own.

English actor Anthony Daniels is both the body and the voice of C-3PO in all nine installments in the "Star Wars" saga — from "A New Hope" to "The Rise of Skywalker."

Anthony Daniels has voiced C-3PO in various "Star Wars" animated series and video games over the years, as well as in "Ralph Breaks the Internet" and "The Lego Movie." He also portrayed the protocol droid in 2016's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and played a new character, Tak, in 2018's "Solo: A Star Wars Story," making him the only actor to appear in every major live-action "Star Wars" movie so far! He also reportedly serves as an adjunct professor for Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center and released his memoir, "I Am C-3PO: The Inside Story," in 2019.

Yoda was voiced and puppeteered by Jim Henson veteran Frank Oz, who also voiced beloved Muppets Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Grover, Cookie Monster and Bert, to name a few! The actor-director continued voicing the Jedi Master after the beloved character went CGI.

In addition to his work as Yoda and with The Muppets, Frank Oz — who performed on "Sesame Street" between 1969 and 2014 — popped up in "The Blues Brothers" and "Blues Brothers 2000," "An American Werewolf in London," "The Dark Crystal," which he co-directed with Jim Henson, "Trading Places" and "Labyrinth." He also voiced Subconscious Guard Dave in 2015's "Inside Out" and most recently appeared on-screen in 2019's "Knives Out" and in the 2021 indie film "Echoes of Violence." On top of all that, he's an accomplished director: He helmed "The Muppets Take Manhattan," "Little Shop of Horrors," "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," "HouseSitter," "The Indian in the Cupboard," "In & Out," "Bowfinger," "The Score," the 2004 remake of "The Stepford Wives," "Death at a Funeral," "What About Bob?" and more. He married motivational speaker Victoria Labalme in 2011 after his marriage of more than 25 years to first wife Robin Oz came to an end in 2005. He has four children.

Kim Kardashian was denied Marilyn Monroe dress loan before she lost 16 pounds to fit into it for the Met Gala

The internet's favorite celeb power couple Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson made their second red carpet appearance as a couple at the Met Gala on Monday, although Kim's iconic fashion choice for the evening arguably stole the spotlight. Kim, 41, arrived in the dress Marilyn Monroe wore six decades ago to sing "Happy birthday, Mr. President" to John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden in New York City. According to the New York Post, Kim is now the only person aside from Marilyn to ever wear the skintight piece, which is bedazzled with more 6,000 hand-sewn crystals. Speaking to La La Anthony for Vogue on the red carpet, Kim said she was inspired to go with a Marilyn theme after the 2021 Met Gala. Hoping to try it on, she said she reached out to the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum in Florida, which bought the slinky number in 2016 for $4.8 million. "They came with armed guards and gloves. I tried it on and it didn't fit me," Kim recalled. She couldn't alter it so she said she had to lose 16 pounds by embarking on extreme diet, skipping all carbs and sugar for three weeks. Kim also went platinum blonde for the night, a la Marilyn. "It was like preparing for a role," Kim told Vogue. After her red carpet stroll, the SKIMS creator changed into a replica since the dress is now valued at around $10 million.

Don Lemon accuser drops sexual assault case, will pay CNN star $77k in sanctions

Dustin Hice, the man who accused Don Lemon of sexually assaulting him in a bar in 2018, has dropped his lawsuit against the CNN anchor. When Dustin filed the lawsuit nearly three years ago, Don denied the allegations with support from the network, which released a statement saying Dustin had "displayed a pattern of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts" and tried to shake Don down for "an exorbitant amount of money," according to Deadline. This week, Dustin said (via his attorney): "After a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive into my memory, I have come to realize that my recollection of the events that occurred on the night in question when I first met CNN anchor Don Lemon were not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit. As a result, I am dropping the case." Deadline also notes a federal judge determined in March that Dustin "tampered with evidence and tried to bribe witnesses" in the case. The judge then hit Dustin with $77,000 in sanctions, payable to the CNN anchor. Don, meanwhile, remained silent on the update, though his lawyer put out a statement on his behalf in which she called the case "a crass money grab." She also said that because Don is "a gay Black man in the media, he has had to deal with these sorts of attacks for quite some time," and urged news outlets to be more careful with the kind of "misreporting" that's been published regarding this case. The suit will no longer go to trial, but Dustin remains on the hook for the $77,000 sanctions payment, according to Deadline.

The real Rihanna skipped Met Gala, but she was there in spirit

Now in her third trimester of pregnancy, Rihanna skipped the 2022 Met Gala on Monday, May 2, but she was still there in spirit, thanks to Vogue and the Met Costume Institute. Late Monday night after the "Gilded Glamor and White Tie"-themed fashion bash, Vogue shared a video tribute to Rih in which a CGI marble statue of the Fenty mogul had been erected in the Met's gallery alongside other historic works of art. "The statue of 'Eirene (The Personification of Peace)' is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries. But now we've got @badgalriri, straight off this month's Vogue cover," the magazine captioned a video of the statue. The piece riffs on Rihanna's recent Vogue cover, which shows her in a stunning Alaia bodysuit, baring her belly in profile. "Shut down the met in marble! what's more gilded than that? Lol!" Rihanna wrote alongside the video on her own Instagram page. "Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y'all bad for this one!" Rihanna's been making waves with her daring and creative maternity style ever since she and partner A$AP Rocky announced they were expecting earlier this year (via photos of Rih decked out in Chanel showing off her belly, of course). "When I found out I was pregnant, I thought to myself, 'There's no way I'm going to go shopping in no maternity aisle,'" she told Vogue in her new cover story. "My body is doing incredible things right now, and I'm not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?" Rih added, "I'm hoping that we were able to redefine what's considered 'decent' for pregnant women."

Laine Hardy's 'American Idol' reunion special sparks fan backlash after his spying arrest

Apparently, the show must go on? "American Idol" faced criticism on social media on Monday, May 2, for airing a Laine Hardy reunion special after the Season 17 winner was arrested for allegedly bugging his ex-girlfriend's dorm room. Laine, 21, was booked and questioned by Louisiana University Police on April 29 after they found probable cause to charge the singer with a felony count of interception and disclosure of wire, electronic or oral communication, Page Six reported last week. A police report from the arrest indicates the woman said she found the recording device under her futon and provided what she said was a screenshot of a Snapchat conversation with Laine from earlier this year in which he admitted he had bugged her room but said he'd discarded the device. On Monday's show, which was reportedly taped earlier this month, Laine was joined by 2019 finalist Laci Kaye Booth on the special, where they teamed up for a rendition of "Draggin' My Heart Around," originally recorded by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty. "Wait, so #AmericanIdol are just going to put Laine Hardy on without even addressing his recent arrest? I'm confused by this. He was arrested, right?" one person tweeted when his "Idol" special aired. Another slammed the choice to include Laine so soon after his arrest as "disrespectful" to his ex. "Shameful, disappointing & triggering to many people," the Twitter user added. Last week, Laine posted on social media that he is being "fully cooperative" with police. As of Tuesday morning, "American Idol" had not yet responded to Page Six's request for comment.

Jack Nicholson's 'The Shining' axe sells for $175k

After a recent bidding war between 12 would-be buyers, the axe Jack Nicholson famously wielded in 1980's "The Shining" has been sold for a whopping $175,000, TMZ reported on Monday, March 3. The piece hit the auction block via GottaHaveRockandRoll auction house, after selling to a previous owner for $61,000. The axe — which is actually lightweight and made of foam and resin — is the one Jack's character uses to smash through a door while hunting Shelly Duvall before he utters his maniacal "Here's Johnny!" line. The $175,000 price included a $35,000 buyer's premium, an additional fee tacked onto the hammer price that's usually earmarked for administrative and other expenses.

NeNe Leakes claims Bravo 'blacklisted' her amid discrimination lawsuit

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" veteran NeNe Leakes told TMZ this week that she believes Bravo execs "blacklisted" her when asked about her recent discrimination lawsuit. NeNe filed suit against the network, its parent company, the show's production companies and Bravo's Andy Cohen on April 20 on grounds the show allowed Kim Zolciak-Biermann to make racist comments at and about her for years without consequence. Speaking to TMZ, NeNe said it "felt like it was the right time … a few years ago" to sue, "but I was constantly being retaliated against, being blacklisted, not able to work, being silenced, and so, you know, it was difficult to do." She added that claims the suit was her way of retaliating for not being offered a "RHOA" spinoff of her own are "ridiculous." In a statement about the filing, NeNe's attorney, David deRubertis, previously told Page Six, "From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives."

Despite everything that's gone down between them, Matt James still sees a future with his on-again girlfriend, Rachael Kirkconnell. "At this point in my life, I wouldn't be dating someone that I wouldn't consider marrying," Matt tells ET. "That's the end goal and that's what we're working towards." The couple famously appeared on "The Bachelor" in 2021 and got serious before Rachael was hit with multiple allegations of racist online behavior. Rachael apologized and the two split but later rekindled their romance once the cameras had stopped rolling on the season. Matt's currently promoting his new memoir, "First Impressions," which details how the two worked out their relationship and agreed to move forward, among other things. "The hardest part was actually going on the show, because I had my doubts if something like that could work," Matt tells ET. "I'm fortunate that I put those [doubts] aside because I'm in a great relationship now with Rachael… The hardest part for me was being vulnerable up front. When I did that, putting it on paper was easy."

Meghan McCain visits her dad's grave with daughter, Liberty

Meghan McCain spent a quiet moment with her 1-year-old daughter, Liberty, at the site of her father, Sen. John McCain's grave this week, nearly four years after he lost his battle with brain cancer. "Love hard. Grieve hard. Miss you every day," "The View" alum wrote in a caption alongside photos from the pair's United States Naval Academy Cemetery visit. During a recent appearance on People's "Me Becoming Mom" podcast, Meghan, 37, revealed Liberty "does this thing with her hands" that her dad "used to do that all the time." She said "it's stuff like that" that reminds her of her parents now that she's a mom. "… With my dad in particular, he was just so much for so much of my life in so many different ways," she said at the time, adding that the way she loves Liberty is "just pure." "She's just perfection," Meghan said. Meghan's father died on Aug. 25, 2018; she and Ben Domenesch welcomed Liberty in the fall of 2020.

Cameron Diaz has found herself in a sticky situation… again!

On May 3, the former actress turned back the clock and gave a fun nod to that infamous "hair gel" scene from "There's Something About Mary."

In the Instagram video, comedian Benito Skinner shows up at Cameron's home with her Avaline wine in tow. Not only that, but he was also dressed like Cameron's character was in the 1997 movie, donning a red dress and "gelled" hair.

Cameron initially reacts awkwardly after seeing Benito, but she quickly plays along and recreates the legendary scene. Soon, the two were dressed identically as they sipped on her canned wine.

"@bennydrama7 bringing @avaline cans over was not the weirdest part of our dinner," she captioned the video. In the comment's section, Benito wrote, "CHEERS TWIN!!!"

Since the comedy was released 25 years ago, the "hair gel" scene has become rather iconic, and it inspired thousands of Halloween costumes.

Following "There's Something About Mary," Cameron went on to star in a bundle of high-grossing movies. However, she quit acting and hasn't starred in anything since 2014's "Annie."

During a "Sweetest Thing" reunion with costars Selma Blair and Christina Applegate back in 2018, Cameron said, "I am actually retired."

While appearing on Kevin Hart's "Hart to Heart" last year, the "Charlie's Angels" alum said she still loves acting but decided she wanted to simplify her life.

"I just really wanted to make my life manageable by me," she said. "My routine in a day is literally what I can manage to do by myself."

What Portia de Rossi wants Ellen DeGeneres to do after show ends…

Ellen DeGeneres' eponymous talk show doesn't end until later this month, but Portia de Rossi is already thinking about what's next for her wife.

"Well, honestly, I just want you to do something that makes you really happy," the "Arrested Development" actress told her wife on "Ellen" on May 3. "But I want to make sure that you continue being a teacher because that's really what you've been for everybody."

She added, "I just feel like more than ever, we need love and light and laughter. So I hope that you continue to do something like that. Like stand-up, for example. Or, whatever."

Portia, Ellen's wife of 14 years, made it clear that she doesn't really have "an opinion" on Ellen's next move, but thinks standup comedy would be a natural progression.

Funny enough, there was a time when Portia wasn't thrilled with Ellen's comedy routine.

"When I did my special 'Relatable,' I did it after not doing stand-up for 15 years and she had never seen me do stand-up before," Ellen said. "She had seen my specials but she had never seen me live and she was petrified. She's like, 'Why do you want to do this to yourself?' She just, really, was against me doing stand-up again. And then ever since I've done it, she now can't wait to go back on the road. She wants me to tour. She wants me to do Vegas."

Portia then chimed in, "Yeah, I do! Because you're so good at it."

Elsewhere in the episode, Portia recalled watching the very first Ellen show back in September 2003 and remember the effect it had on her. At the time, Portia was still closeted.

"Ellen was kind of like the litmus test for young actors in Hollywood because we just, her success meant so much to us, it kind of meant, 'Can I be authentic and honest and still be able to pay the rent?' I remember watching the first episode of the show standing the entire time and I remember, I was alone, I remember saying out loud to the TV, 'She did it,'" Portia recalled. "Because you could just feel the magic – oh my gosh I'm emotional already – you could feel the magic of the show, and I just knew that it was going to be around for as long as you wanted it to be."

Although the Kardashian-Jenner squad was not in the courtroom when the verdict was rendered, they were often in attendance during the trial, and many of them even testified. Bill Murray says he and a female colleague from the upcoming film "Being Mortal" are "trying to make peace" after Fox Searchlight shut down production over a complaint regarding allegedly inappropriate behavior. When the studio announced it was halting work on the project, it didn't name any of the parties involved, according to an April 20 Deadline report. Bill addressed the shutdown in an interview with CNBC over the weekend, telling the outlet he's continued to reflect on the implications of his behavior and how something he "thought was funny … wasn't taken that way" by the other person involved. "We had a difference of opinion; I had a difference of opinion with a woman I'm working with," he explained, without naming the woman. "I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn't taken that way. The company, the movie studio wanted to do the right thing. So, they wanted to check it all out and investigate it and so they stopped the production. But as of now we're talking and we're trying to make peace with each other." He went on to point out that "things change and the times change," including perceptions about comedy and humor. "I think the most important thing is that it's best for the other person. I thought about and that it's not best for the other person, doesn't matter what happens for me," he concluded. Looking ahead, the actor said he hopes both he and the woman can "go back into work and be able to trust each other" so they can complete the Aziz Ansari-directed film, which stars Bill alongside Keke Palmer and Seth Rogen. It's not clear whether Bill will be invited back to finish shooting or if he'll be replaced.

Angelina Jolie visits children displaced by the war in Lviv, Ukraine

Angelina Jolie made a surprise appearance in Lviv, Ukraine, on Saturday, April 30, where she spoke with children who were injured in the deadly Russian missile strike at a railway station last month. The strike is believed to have specifically targeted kids, as one missile was emblazoned with the words "for the children" in Russian, according to the Associated Press. Despite her UN Special Envoy for Refugees post, a rep for the group told the Washington Post Angelina was traveling "in her personal capacity." She reportedly met with civilians who've been internally displaced as well as volunteers providing medical services and counseling to Ukrainians as Russia's devastating invasion of the country enters its third month. Photos of the star talking with people in a Lviv cafe and meeting with volunteer chefs from Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen also popped up on social media as she made her way to a boarding school to hear from students there. "The impact the war is having on a generation of Ukrainian children is devastating to see," Angelina said in a statement to NBC about her visit. "No child anywhere should have to flee their homes, or witness the murder of their loved ones, or experience shelling and the destruction of their homes. Yet that is the reality of so many children in Ukraine and around the world."

Fans think Pete Davidson's new tattoo pays tribute to Kim Kardashian's kids

Pete Davidson appears to have some new ink in honor of his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. The tattoo — one of many in the "Saturday Night Live" star's collection — is on Pete's neck and reads "KNSCP," according to Page Six, which snagged a photo of the tat over the weekend. The shot spurred fans on social media to post guesses about what each letter stands for, with most seeming to agree the "K" is likely for Kim. Drew Barrymore responds to backlash over Johnny Depp, Amber Heard trial comments

Drew Barrymore has apologized for comments she made on her show about Johnny Depp's $50 million defamation suit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. During a chat with Anthony Anderson last week, Drew dubbed the trial a "seven-layer dip of insanity," among other things, and questioned why the proceedings are being televised and livestreamed. Johnny sued Amber over a 2018 op-ed she wrote about surviving domestic abuse for the Washington Post, claiming that while she doesn't name him in the piece, readers presumed he abused her, since she's made such allegations in the past. The actor has long denied those claims. After Drew's comments aired on her daytime talk show, she was hit with backlash from viewers on social media who said it was wrong to use a trial stemming from abuse allegations as fodder for jokes. "How would she feel if people laughed at her childhood trauma," one person asked on Twitter. Drew circled back to make amends on Instagram on Sunday, May 1. "It has come to my attention that I have offended people with making light of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard," she said in a video post. "And for that I just want to deeply apologize and appreciate everyone who spoke out because this can be a teachable moment for me and how I move forward and how I conduct myself." Jimmy Kimmel tests positive for COVID-19, names guest as replacement host

Jimmy Kimmel announced he tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, May 2, and will be taking time away from "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" until he's safely recovered. In the meantime, the late-night host said one of this week's scheduled guests has agreed to cover for him. May 2 is officially Megan Thee Stallion Day in Houston

Megan Thee Stallion's hometown of Houston honored the rapper for her local philanthropy work over the weekend, presenting her with a key to the city and proclaiming May 2 "Megan Thee Stallion Day." "Megan Thee Stallion has an extraordinary entertainment career, but we wanted to honor her for what she does offstage to lift people's lives in underserved communities," Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said at a televised ceremony on Sunday, May 1, according to Pitchfork. "She assisted people after the 2021 winter storm, during the pandemic, and helped those struggling with homelessness. I look forward to watching her grow as an artist and humanitarian," he added. Megan, 27, later told Instagram followers the May 2 date was chosen to honor the shared birthdays of her late mother and grandmother, who died within weeks of one another in 2019. (Megan's father died when she was 15.) "Both of these women helped me grow into the woman that I am today," the rapper said while accepting her award, according to an ABC 13 video. "I don't know what kind of lady I would be if granny didn't raise me to be so kind and so giving," she continued. "You could walk by these ladies' house and they givin' out dollars, candy– whatever they've got, they're givin' it out the door. And I always wanted to be just like that." She's making a pretty good start on that goal so far: In February, the rapper launched her new Pete and Thomas Foundation, which aims to support "positive change in the lives of women and children, senior citizens, and underserved communities in Houston" and beyond, according to its website. She then shed some light on the timeline of their relationship and confirmed rumors that she and James had a wedding before he divorced his first wife: "He was separated when I met him, and so once we realized that we could have children and I could start IVF, it was important for me to do the gathering of our family and do the picture of me in the white dress. So we had a wedding ceremony, knowing that it wasn't fully legal. … I didn't care about the actual piece of paper for a divorce," she said, acknowledging that people thought she only "cared about money" and was "gold-digging."

On April 25, E! News reported that Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers recently called it quits for good. "Shailene tried to give it another shot and was spending time with Aaron. But she quickly saw that everything was on his terms and nothing was going to change. There was no reason to continue and she's done with it again," said a source. The following day, a People magazine source echoed that the "Divergent" actress "felt everything was on Aaron's terms," which "wasn't making her happy." Multiple media outlets reported in mid-February that the Emmy nominee and the professional football player — who got engaged in 2020 — had gone their separate ways. They then spent the bulk of March fueling reconciliation rumors.

On April 26, The Sun reported that Madonna and dancer Ahlamalik Williams, who's 35 years her junior, recently called it quits after more than three years of coupledom. "Madonna has thrown herself into a busy social life and has been seeing her friends and family after the split. She has a packed schedule, working on her upcoming biopic, new music and looking after her family. Things have been on and off with Ahlamalik for a while. There's a lot of love but for now they have decided to separate. They are still on good terms and there are no hard feelings, but they are at different places with their lives. They spent months together on tour and in lockdown, but now he has moved out of her home. With them both working on other things, it was hard to keep their romance alight," a source told the British tabloid.

During an interview with "Access" that debuted online on April 22, Jana Kramer casually revealed that she and her boyfriend of about six months, Ian Schinelli, recently called it quits. When asked to share her best advice to someone going through a breakup, the singer-actress replied, "I'm kind of going through it right now. … It's good. I think what I would say, though, is, 'Your story isn't over. You're never gonna be alone. It's not as bad as it seems in the moment. And I think time is a beautiful thing and to just know that God has bigger plans for you in store.'" Jana first sparked rumors that she and Ian had gone their separate ways when she suddenly unfollowed him on Instagram and deleted old photos of him.

On April 25, People magazine broke the news that Allison Williams and "The Last Kingdom" star Alexander Dreymon secretly welcomed a son named Arlo sometime in late 2021 or early 2022. According to a source, they started dating in late 2019 after connecting on the set of the 2020 action-adventure film "Horizon Line." Said the source, who spied the "Girls" alum wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring while out with the actor and their baby boy, "They seemed to be very happy and very much in love. … They are both private people individually, and they made the decision to keep this happy news to just a small circle of family and friends. But they're over the moon." Not long before Allison apparently started seeing Alexander, she and Ricky Van Veen released a joint statement announcing that they'd parted ways after less than four years of marriage. Ricky also bounced back quickly, marrying Chelsea Clinton's business partner, Caroline Kassie, in July 2021 following a two-year courtship. "I think it's one of those things where Allison and Ricky are both with their forever people now. They remain on good terms, but everyone who knows them agrees that it was for the best," said a second People source, adding that Allison and Alexander "haven't been hiding" their relationship but simply "doing their best to keep a low profile."

On April 21, E! News confirmed speculation that, according to a source, Lili Reinhart is "casually seeing" actor Spencer Neville, the handsome young man with whom she was seen packing on the PDA at a party during Coachella. "It's very new but she's really into him. They met through the industry and were introduced by a few friends. Lili and Spencer spent the entire weekend together at Coachella and had a lot of fun," said the source, adding that the "Riverdale" star and the "Days of our Lives" alum are "very playful together." Noted the insider, "Lili has been spending a lot of time focusing on herself and Spencer has been the first person since her breakup [from 'Riverdale' co-star Cole Sprouse] that she's been really into. Everyone around her says she seems very happy right now and her friends think Spencer is great."

In late April, the Internet came together to identify Lizzo's secret boyfriend: actor and stand-up comedian Myke Wright. The twosome actually go way back: They co-hosted the 2016 MTV series "Wonderland" and have been photographed together several times over the years. (They're pictured with fellow "Wonderland" co-host Rachael Finley in 2016.) It's unclear when exactly their relationship turned romantic.

Not so fast! On April 19, Tom Schwartz took to Twitter to shoot down an unfounded rumor that he was "boldly holding hands and making out" with "Vanderpump Rules" co-star Raquel Leviss during Coachella. "The comfort level between these two [made it seem like it] wasn't a first-time hookup," read an anonymous sighting circulating Twitter. "Guys hate to break it to you but I wasn't at Coachella," tweeted Tom, who recently separated from wife Katie Maloney. Raquel, meanwhile, ended her engagement to James Kennedy late last year. She was seen with several other "Vanderpump Rules" stars — including Katie — at Coachella.

In late March, JoJo Siwa revealed that she was no longer single following her late 2021 split from her girlfriend of nearly a year, Kylie Prew. After the "Dance Moms" alum failed to identify her new love, fans began to speculate that she and her ex had quietly reconciled. During an interview with "Extra" that debuted online on April 25, JoJo refused to confirm or deny that she and Kylie are back together again: "I mean, listen, I will [answer this] one day," she said. "I'm not saying yes or no. I should have told her I was doing press today and asked her what she wanted me to say." She also said of her relationship, "I'm very happy. I'm very much so in love. I am really lucky that I'm loved unconditionally by this human, and she is awesome. … We're long distance, which is always hard. On April 25, Larsa Pippen was snapped during what appeared to be a dinner date with real estate mogul M. Patrick Carroll in Miami. The hangout — during which the reality star looked all dolled up in a backless LBD and heels — sparked rumors that she and the entrepreneur, who's worth hundreds of millions (if not billions) of dollars, are a couple. (See photos here.) Patrick appeared serious with Ukranian model Alina Baikova in late 2021. Although she hasn't made an appearance on his Instagram feed since January, it's possible, of course, that they're still together and that his dinner date with Larsa was strictly professional.

Sean Penn recently said he's still in love with his third wife, Leila George, but according to TMZ, the pair finalized their divorce on April 22. The "Animal Kingdom" actress filed to legally end their marriage of just 14 months in October 2021. Since then, she and the Oscar winner have sparked several rounds of reconciliation rumors.

On April 14, Michelle Dockery and fiancé Jasper Waller-Bridge — "Fleabag" and "Killing Eve" writer-producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge's younger brother — made their red carpet debut as a couple at the London premiere of "Anatomy of a Scandal." The "Downton Abbey" actress and the film and TV producer were first publicly linked in late 2019 and announced their engagement in January 2022.

According to TMZ, Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay Smith got remarried on the rooftop at Resorts World Las Vegas on April 24 — more than six years after they first tied the knot and nearly two years after they reconciled following a brief separation. (He re-proposed on New Year's Eve in 2020.) Reality stars NeNe Leakes, Tammy Rivera and Melody Holt were on hand for the over-the-top red-themed affair, which featured thousands of red roses (see them here), an 8-foot cake and a performance from the groom. "I love you forever and always — a million times, a million years. I will always choose you," Crystal said in an Instagram video leading up to the vow renewal ceremony.

During an interview with "Access" that debuted online on April 26, Lionel Richie revealed that Elliot Grainge asked his permission to propose to the "All Night Long" chart-topper's daughter, Sofia Richie … and struggled through the process. "He was a nervous wreck, poor guy. I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived it. I was going to rib him a little bit, but I didn't want to play — he was going to faint," said the bride-to-be's proud papa. "It was wonderful. They're deeply in love. All I can say is: That's what you really want as a dad." Lionel added that he loves Elliot and has "known him since he was 12." Said the Grammy winner of his little girl, "She's in good hands."

According to People magazine, Soleil Moon Frye and her estranged husband, Jason Goldberg, filed the paperwork to finalize their divorce on April 22. Per the terms of their settlement, the film producer will pay the former child star $18,996 per month in spousal support and $17,281 in child support. Meanwhile, she's set to fork over $631,000 in exchange for their former marital home in the Los Angeles area. The former couple will share joint custody of their four children, plus royalties from "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and the 2021 "Punky Brewster" reboot. (Soleil will not be forced to split her royalties from her earlier work including the original "Punky Brewster.") The pair separated in 2020 following more than two decades of marriage.

Paulina Gretzky — the eldest child of hockey great Wayne Gretzky and actress Janet Jones — married Dustin Johnson at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, on April 23, she confirmed on Instagram two days later. The model-actress — who appeared in "Grown Ups 2" and the 2009 "Fame" remake — and the professional golfer started dating in early 2013 and got engaged later that year. They've since welcomed two sons.

On April 23, "Big Brother" alum Christie Murphy and Jamie Martin — who legally tied the knot when they obtained a marriage license in New Jersey in late 2021 — married again in Tulum, Mexico, where they joked about eloping early in their relationship. "It was the most special day of both our lives," the brides, who got engaged in Paris in August 2021, told Us Weekly. "It was perfect! We both just keep saying that it was literally the best night of our lives. Such a blast and so connective."

On April 17 — just two months after "My Unorthodox Life" star Julia Haart filed to divorce Silvio Scaglia — Page Six reported that he's already moved on: The billionaire has been seeing socialite Michelle-Marie Heinemann for "the past few months." Confirmed his rep, "[They] recently began dating and are very much in love. [They] look forward to spending their future together." On the April 12 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Julia said that she and Silvio had been "planning the divorce for almost a year."

On the April 21 episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Tiffany Haddish described her love life as "interesting" and "an adventure" and said that she's "back on the dating apps" following her late 2021 split from Common. She then dished on her dating dealbreakers and shared what she's looking for in a man: "Good credit score because I need to know you're responsible," she said. "You need to have good hygiene — that's really important to me. I can't stand bad breath and funky armpits. … I've been attracted to a lot of hip-hop kind of guys, and I don't mind men wearing jewelry, but if you own a bunch of diamonds but you don't own no land, that's a problem for me. … Land then diamonds. While serving as vice president and head designer of Versace over the last few decades, Donatella Versace has kept the brand at the forefront of the fashion world. The blonde icon (seen here in 1991 when she was about 36) has always recognized the importance of the relationship between fashion and celebrity, and by harnessing the support of superstars, she continues to maintain the Versace name's global fame. In honor of the dynamo Italian designer's 67th birthday on May 2, 2022, join Wonderwall.com as we take a look back at her life and career in pictures.

Donatella Versace joined a fashion-forward family when she was born on May 2, 1955, in Reggio, a town in Italy's Calabria region. Older brother Gianni Versace was an up-and-coming designer and their mother had a dressmaking business. She's seen here with Gianni in Paris in 1990.

Donatella Versace picked her trademark look early on, and she credits brother Gianni Versace with dyeing her hair its signature platinum blonde shade when she was 11. She once told Harper's Bazaar, "I have never looked back." (She's seen here looking glam at a party in 1992.)

In the early 1980s, Donatella Versace married former Versace model Paul Beck. The pair had two children, Allegra and Daniel, but split in 2000. The family is seen here in 1992.

Gianni Versace started his company in Milan in 1978 and sister Donatella Versace and brother Santo Versace helped out with the business. Donatella is seen here with Gianni at a Rainforest Foundation Benefit in 1994.

Donatella Versace started designing for the company's Versus line in the 1980s — brother Gianni Versace created the line as a gift to her. Gianni Versace was tragically murdered in Florida in July 1997. Donatella Versace then became the creative director of the Versace group. "When my brother was murdered, I had the eyes of the whole world on me and 99% of them thought I wasn't going to make it. And maybe I thought the same, at first," she told The Guardian in 2017. "My brother was the king, and my whole world had crashed around me." She's seen here with brother Santo Versace at Gianni's memorial service in Milan in 1997.

It was a year filled with tragedy for Donatella Versace: In August 1997 — less than two months after the murder of her brother, fashion designer Gianni Versace — family friend Princess Diana was killed in a car accident in Paris. A solemn Donatella Versace walked the runway at the conclusion of Versace's haute couture presentation in Paris in July 1998. It was her first show as the head of the fashion house following the death of her brother, Gianni Versace, the previous year.

During the 1999 Met Gala, which paid tribute to the "Rock Style" exhibition, Donatella Versace donned a tropical-print gown with a plunging neckline that would become extremely famous the following year…

In February 2000, Jennifer Lopez wore an instantly iconic green Versace dress with a plunging neckline to the Grammy Awards. Donatella Versace created the look, which elevated her family's fashion house and marked a major turning point in her life and career following brother Gianni Versace's tragic death a few years earlier. (Former Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt has said that Google Images was created as a response to the wave of online searches for the look.)

In October 2002, Donatella Versace and brother Santo Versace previewed the "Versace at the V&A" exhibition — which honored their late brother Gianni Versace's life and career and featured several of his most iconic creations — at the V&A museum in London.

Icons unite! In October 2002, Donatella Versace was joined by daughter Allegra Versace and longtime pal (and Versace muse) Madonna, plus the pop star's daughter, a pint-sized Lourdes Leon, and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton at a party celebrating the "Versace at the V&A" exhibition — which honored Donatella's late brother Gianni Versace's life and career and featured several of his most iconic creations — at the V&A museum in London.

Donatella Versace has a sense of humor! She's seen here posing with comedy star Maya Rudolph, who's dressed as the designer, during the 2002 VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Maya for years impersonated Donatella in sketches on "Saturday Night Live."

In 2004, Donatella Versace sought treatment for cocaine addiction, which she battled after her brother's death. "I couldn't stand the pain," she told Vogue in 2005. "I had to hide my feelings. What better way to hide your feelings than with drugs?" She also shared that it was family friend Elton John's intervention that got her into rehab. She's seen here with the music star at his annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in March 2006.

In July 2007, Donatella Versace reunited with her ex-husband, Paul Beck, and their two kids — daughter Allegra Versace and son Daniel Versace, who's become extremely private over the years — at the opening night of "Thank You Gianni, With Love" at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The ballet honored the life and career of Donatella's late brother, Gianni Versace, and marked the 10th anniversary of his death.

Donatella Versace designed a Versace collection for H&M in late 2011 with the intention of helping the luxury brand reach a wider audience. She assured fans the collaboration would be "quintessential Versace," and it worked: People lined up overnight to get their hands on the pieces, which ranged from $19.95 costume jewelry to a $299 leather jacket. Donatella even made an appearance at a London H&M store to meet fans. She's seen here at the launch in November 2011.

Donatella Versace posed with Versace muse Lady Gaga and a furry friend — makeup artist Frederic Aspiras's dog Fozzi, who frequently traveled with Gaga early in her career — on a balcony at Palazzo Versace in Milan in October 2012. The following year, Gaga released an ode to the fashion icon, "Donatella," on her "Artpop" album.

Rapper Nicki Minaj interviewed Donatella Versace for Interview magazine in December 2011 and got the designer to talk about her close friendship with Prince and the supermodels of the '90s. She also shared with Nicki one of her beliefs about fashion: "To be comfortable — that can't be in the vocabulary of fashion. If you want to be comfortable, stay home in your pajamas." Did you do a double-take? In 2013, Gina Gershon portrayed Donatella Versace in the Lifetime made-for-TV movie "House of Versace." In 2018, Penelope Cruz starred as Donatella on the series "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story," earning Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her efforts.

Donatella Versace brought daughter Allegra Versace as her date to the 2014 Met Gala. "I don't tell many people my last name," Allegra told Harper's Bazaar in 2007, adding that she goes by "[my father's last name] Beck more than Versace" in her personal life. The socialite also stays away from her designer mom's famous friends. "It's not like I want my mom's friends to take care of me!" she said.

Versace dominated the 2015 Hollywood awards season, outfitting more stars — including Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston — than any other fashion house. In March 2015, Donatella Versace told V Magazine that she sees Jennifer Lopez as an ideal Versace woman. "Versace is about strength, individuality and power. It's also about loving life, making the best of every moment, and being true to who you are. This is how I define Versace, and it's also how I define Jennifer." Talk about an iconic (and nostalgia-inducing) fashion moment! During Milan Fashion Week in September 2017, Donatella Versace had a lineup of iconic '90s supermodels wear her creations: Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen all hit the runway with the designer.

At the 2017 British Fashion Awards, Donatella Versace won big! That evening, the designer to the stars took home the fashion icon award. "I am truly honoured to be collecting the Fashion Icon Award at The Fashion Awards in 2017," she said in a statement. "For 40 years, my brother and I have done what we love and that is a legacy I am honored to continue and uphold. We have celebrated empowerment, joy and of course glamour. We have championed a community of people who share our values and together with them have created truly iconic images in the world of fashion. I am truly humbled by how Versace has been embraced across the decades, across the world and across the generations."

Donatella Versace posed with Katy Perry, who donned a Versace creation for the occasion — and topped many best-dressed lists as a result — at the 2018 Met Gala, which paid tribute to the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination" exhibition. She took home another notable prize a year later. Donatella Versace won the international award at the CFDA Fashion Awards in June 2018. "It means so much," Donatella told the CFDA. "So many feelings are going through my head it's almost impossible to describe it. When they told me, I did a double take! I was at home having dinner with some friends when I got the call… I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I felt humbled and honored at the same time. Receiving this award crowns a very special moment for me and for Versace and I couldn't be happier. We have worked so hard to get to this point and I am so proud of what we are achieving."

In November 2018, Donatella Versace became the first woman to be named designer of the year at the 20th GQ Men of the Year Awards.

Donatella Versace made headlines when she recruited friend and muse Jennifer Lopez to close out the Versace show during Milan Fashion Week in September 2019. J.Lo donned a plunging green tropical-print gown designed by Donatella that was reminiscent of her iconic 2000 Grammys dress. The two women conspired to pull off the surprise stunt after reuniting at the Met Gala earlier that year: "We were sitting together at the table. I took a look at her, and she looked so gorgeous and she was so sweet, and she hasn't changed a bit since the first time," Donatella told Vogue's Anna Wintour. "And I said, 'Would you do it again, Jennifer?' And she said, 'Why not, let me check my schedule.' That happened in like two seconds. … This is what I like about her. She's very instinctive. She doesn't have to ask too many managers what to do."

In September 2021 — as the delta wave of the coronavirus pandemic began to abate — Versace made a triumphant return to in-person events with a star-studded showing during Milan Fashion Week, which went digital the previous year. Donatella Versace closed out the Versace Spring/Summer 2022 presentation with muse Dua Lipa.

Donatella Versace supported longtime friend Elton John by attending the 2022 iteration of his annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party that March. The music superstar was unable to attend the West Hollywood bash due to a scheduling conflict with his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour, but it was still a family affair: Donatella reunited with Elton's husband, David Furnish, and their two sons — Zachary and Elijah — plus the boys' godmother, mutual pal Lady Gaga.

During the 2022 Grammys, Donatella Versace teamed up with Versace muse Dua Lipa and the chart-topper's "Sweetest Pie" collaborator Megan Thee Stallion to spoof an iconic moment from the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards. (More than two decades ago, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston made light of their rumored rivalry by wearing the same brown dress to present an award together during the MTV award show.) After Dua and Megan took the stage in the same Versace dress to present the Grammy for best new artist, Donatella joined them on stage, removed Dua's skirt completely and took away half of Megan's skirt to reveal two distinctly different looks. "Now we both look like winners," exclaimed Megan as the overall unnecessary bit — which was cute but certainly not iconic — came to an end.

Scott Disick shares three children and a long history with Kourtney Kardashian, but he might be persona non grata at her wedding.

On a preview for Hulu's "The Kardashians," Scott is seen speaking to Khloe Kardashian in a kitchen. During the conversation, Khloe appeared to ask Scott how his children — Mason, Penelope and Reign — reacted to Travis Barker's proposal.

"They were upset," he said of the kids he shares with Kourt. "They didn't understand why they weren't there."

Much of the Kardashian-Jenner family was on hand for the engagement, which happened on the beach in Montecito, California.

While chatting with Khloe, Scott said he's hopeful the children will be invited to the wedding.

"Am I invited to the wedding?," he then openly wonders. A straight-faced Khloe answers, "I don't know."

In the same preview, Kendall Jenner asks Kourtney if she has any "sympathy" for Scott. "It doesn't feel like you do," she plainly states.

Around the time of the engagement, reports said Scott was struggling with the reality that Kourtney had very much moved on from him.

"Scott hasn't really wanted to deal with Travis and Kourtney because he didn't feel like he'd have to," a source told People magazine. "At first, it seemed like it was just a casual relationship to him, nothing serious. So he pretty much put that on mute … thinking that eventually, they'd break up."

The source added that the father-of-three was "being forced to deal" with the fact that Kourtney wants a future with the drummer.

"If he's going to co-parent with Kourtney, which he has been, he has to process this and make his peace with it," the source said.

Danny Bonaduce has 'mystery illness' doctors are 'trying to solve'

Danny Bonaduce is dealing with a "mystery illness" that's confounded doctors, but he's taking the news in cane-assisted stride.

On April 29, the former "Partridge Family" star announced on Twitter that he was taking a "temporary medical leave" from his radio show.

"I'm still working towards receiving a diagnosis. What I know is, I need time to focus on my health," he wrote alongside the photo of himself being assisted by a cane.

A few days later, on May 1, Danny's sister, Celia Bonaduce, thanked fans for their well wishes and detailed the actor's health struggle a little more.

"Many of you have reached out to see what's going on with my brother Danny. Thank you," Celia wrote on Facebook. "Along with Dairy Queen dipped cones and your messages, he is feeling the love."

Celia then added that her brother's health issue is still unclear, but she revealed why he currently needs a cane.

"We are not being coy when we say this is a 'mystery illness,'" she said. "In layman's terms, his balance sucks- super sucks."

Danny, though, is taking it all in stride, tweeting, "Charlie Chaplin, Willy Wonka, Danny Bonaduce. I've joined the club of cool guys with canes."

Katy Perry 'almost accidentally killed' Lionel Richie after taking tumble on 'Idol'

Katy Perry is flipping over the latest "American Idol" season.

The pop star took a fall on the "Idol" set while dressed as "The Little Mermaid" on Sunday's episode.

Video of the incident shows Katy kicking her feet up on the judge's table while Ryan Seacrest talks. Suddenly, as Ryan reacted to a loud bang, the camera panned to Katy, who was on the ground after tumbling off her chair.

"Oh!" Ryan said while running over to Katy, her mermaid tail kicking up into the air. As she was injured, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie — both of whom eventually helped Katy back up to her chair — laughed hysterically at their fellow judge.

Kay had been holding a prop fork in her hand and implied that she nearly stabbed Lionel during the fracas.

"Flippin' your fins you don't get too far," she captioned a video of incident. Katy also noted that she "almost accidentally killed" the "All Night Long" singer with the fork, which was known as "dinglehopper" in the classic Disney film.

After a somewhat embarrassed (but laughing) Katy got back in her chair and thanked her fellow judges, the audience began chanting her name.

"Hell with mermaid!" Luke yelled to the camera. Lionel added, "I love it!"

Earlier in the day, the "Firework" gave her fans a peek at her mermaid outfit, including behind-the-series of images that showed her team painstakingly fitting her into the tight outfit.

Is 12-year-old Mason Disick really spilling the tea about his famous family? An Instagram account under the name @itzangel_j – has been making all kinds of claims about the Kardashian-Jenner family lately, and there's speculation that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian's eldest child is the one secretly in charge. Among the things the Mason-linked account has claimed: Pete Davidson proposed to Kim Kardashian but she said the timing wasn't right; Pete and Kim want a child; Khloe Kardashian will welcome a child "soon" via surrogate; Kris Jenner is secretly engaged to longtime beau Corey Gamble; and Kylie Jenner intentionally had her second child on 2-2-2022 even though her son wasn't due for two more weeks.

Alleged murder attempt

"90 Day Fiancé" star Caroline Schwitzky survived an alleged murder attempt at the hands of her boyfriend. A police report obtained by TMZ said Cole Goldberg was taken into custody and charged with first-degree attempted murder after an argument got out of hand aboard a boat in West Palm Beach, Florida, on April 24. Witnesses told police that Caroline and Cole were on the boat when he aggressively grabbed her and prevented her from getting away for more than 20 minutes. The police report said Caroline eventually freed herself and jumped in the water to escape. While she swam to a nearby boat, Cole reportedly jumped in after her and allegedly tried to push her head underwater. Bystanders screamed for Cole to stop and several eventually jumped in the water to help rescue Caroline.

Twitter wizard

On April 26, it was officially announced that Elon Musk was buying Twitter for $44 billion. The world's richest man said he planned to make Twitter a legitimate free speech square under his leadership. Amid the transaction, many in entertainment voiced their opinions on, coincidentally enough, Twitter. Joe Rogan called Elon a "superhero." Referring to Elon's role as Tesla CEO, Stephen Colbert joked, "So, are tweets self-driving now?" Meghan McCain wondered, "Maybe we can make this space more fair and hospitable again."

Olivia Wilde got a surprise on April 26 while standing in front of more than 4,000 people: custody papers. Deadline reported that Olivia was at CinemaCon in Las Vegas screening the trailer for a movie she directed, "Don't Worry Darling," when someone approached from the front rows of Caesars Palace's Colosseum theater and slid a manila envelope on the stage to her feet. It was initially believed that the envelope contained an unsolicited movie script. But it soon emerged that the envelope — which had the words "Personal and Confidential" on it — actually contained custody papers from her ex, Jason Sudeikis, concerning their two children. Olivia handled the dramatic interruption gracefully and held the envelope on the CinemaCon stage while continuing to discuss the trailer. A source confirmed to Wonderwall.com that the envelope contained custody papers. "Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis," a source said. "Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner."

Car crash

Jared Padalecki was involved in a "very bad car accident" and he nearly didn't make it out alive, a "Supernatural" co-star revealed. During a convention for the CW show on April 24, Jensen Ackles addressed Jared's absence, revealing for the first time that the "Gilmore Girls" actor had suffered injuries in a car crash. "He wasn't driving. He was in the passenger seat, and he's lucky to be alive," Jensen said. "I miss my buddy. Jared sends his love. I spoke with him yesterday. He's sad he can't be here." There were no fatalities in the crash. On April 26, Jared broke his silence. "Hey y'all! I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. I'm definitely on the mend and hoping to return to filming later this week," he wrote on Instagram. "I'm so lucky to have had the best care and be surrounded by people who love me. So grateful for everyone."

Leaving late night

James Corden has extended his contract with CBS through the middle 2023 — after that, he will exit "The Late Late Show" for good. By the time he ends his reign on the late night CBS show next year, James will have been at the helm for eight and a half years. "It's been it's a really hard decision to leave because I'm so immensely proud of the show. I'm thrilled to be extending [for a year]," he told Deadline on April 28. "I always thought I'd do it for five years and then leave and then I stayed on. I've really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure." James said he's unsure whether he and his family will move back to the U.K. once his show ends. "It's something we think about and we talk about a lot but we haven't really made a decision on that yet. That's the life side of things which we'll figure out," he added. "I love living here. I love everything it's given. My family and I have never taken this incredible adventure for granted. Every day I drive down Sunset to work and I just think I'm from High Wycombe."

Single lady

Madonna and her much-younger boyfriend of three years, Ahlamalik Williams, have split up. On April 26, The Sun reported that the Material Girl, 63, has been telling friends she's single again. Madge and Ahlamalik, a 28-year-old dancer, haven't been seen together since January. "Things have been on and off with Ahlamalik for a while. There's a lot of love but for now they have decided to separate. They are still on good terms and there are no hard feelings but they are at different places with their lives," a source said, adding, "They spent months together on tour and in lockdown, but now he has moved out of her home. With them both working on other things, it was hard to keep their romance alight."

Kardash kourt

The defamation trial between Blac Chyna and the Kardashians got heated this week after Rob Kardashian, who shares a child with his former fiancé, testified that she pulled a gun on him and beat him with a metal pole. "It wasn't a real type of love or we'd have been married. I didn't want to be married to someone like that," he testified on April 27. "It was a toxic relationship and nothing I'd want my daughter to see, or how I was raised or how my father raised me. It was a toxic relationship from day one." Rob indicated he was at the lowest point in his life when he started dating Chyna. In referring to the alleged gun incident, which Chyna claimed was a "joke," Rob said, "She tried to kill me." Corey Gamble, momager Kris Jenner's beau, also claimed on the stand that he saw Chyna "hit" Rob. During a week of testimony, Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian testified that they had concerns about the romance from the beginning, but both denied ever demanding that E! cancel "Rob & Chyna," which lasted only one season. Interestingly enough, Chyna's team petitioned the court to let her re-do her testimony, but the judge denied the request. The case is now in the jury's hands.

Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars' fashion hits and misses of the month, starting with this ensemble… Jenna Dewan arrived for an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" in New York City on April 28 wearing this killer neon green suit by L'Agence. She paired a blazer by the brand with wide-legged trousers and silver platform heels for a stunning spring look.

Keeping with the bright shades, Gigi Hadid arrived at the Prince's Trust Gala in New York City on April 28 in this look straight from the runway. Her hot pink Valentino pick was a hit with us — we loved the neon tights, heels and off-the-shoulder embellished minidress combo.

Elle Fanning served up a sweet, more subdued multicolored look at a screening of "The Girl From Plainville" in Los Angeles on April 28 in a vintage Givenchy Haute Couture dress featuring an all-over stripe pattern. She smartly paired it with gold Christian Louboutin sandals.

While we appreciated this fresh menswear-inspired ensemble, we weren't wild about Julia Roberts' shorts and blazer look at the "Gaslit" premiere in New York City on April 18. The movie star rocked the all-Gucci ensemble — a gray blazer, a white dress shirt, a cummerbund and plaid shorts — with black heels for a unique outfit we wish had incorporated a little more color. But there was one detail we loved…

Julia Roberts' Gucci shorts suit included a sweet butterfly brooch on the blazer that added a little whimsy to the menswear-inspired getup.

The funky outfit by Todd Oldham included a horse-emblazoned minidress underneath a multihued cardigan for maximum color that ultimately clashed with the addition of black boots.

Julia Roberts put her stamp on the pantsuit in this pale yellow look — a blazer, blouse and wide-legged trousers all in the spring-ready shade — while arriving at "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" studios in New York City on April 18. The only mistake with this outfit? Pairing it with severe black shoes instead of a similarly light-hued pair.

Chloe Sevigny loves to push the fashion envelope, so we're not surprised she picked an unorthodox dress for the premiere of season 2 of "Russian Doll" in New York City on April 19. Unfortunately, the one-shouldered Carolina Herrera gown in pink and black wasn't a hit. From the weird ruffle detail to the mismatched asymmetrical touches, we weren't wild about this look.

Dan Stevens arrived at the premiere of "Gaslit" in New York City on April 18 in this… colorful getup. The actor looked like a bizarre work of art in the Licong Gong layered look. The busy ensemble included shades of red, purple, orange and yellow and ended with an equally bold pair of multicolored booties.

Peyton List showed off her Coachella-ready outfit at the Revolve Festival in Indio, California, on April 17 — a double-denim ensemble with a lengthy vest and wide-legged jeans paired with a tiny tan bralette and cowboy boots. Though it wouldn't have worked anywhere else, this one was perfect for a festival vibe.

Megan Fox showed off her fab physique at The Daily Front Row's Sixth Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards in Beverly Hills on April 10 in this long-sleeved brown minidress complete with a waist-cinching corset in the same fabric. Camila Cabello's absolutely wild all-denim Diesel ensemble certainly made a statement during her "Today" show performance in New York City on April 12… we're just not sure it was a positive one. The singer rocked a denim duster coat with a multi-hued denim top and high-waisted crossover baggy jeans and then finished things off with — you guessed it! — even more denim with her gloves and boots!

Alessandra Ambrosio showed off her warmer weather style in Los Angeles on April 13. Unfortunately, she added in too many colors. What started out strong with a cropped orange tank top paired with high-waisted cream trousers ended up a bit of a mess when she added a bright red baseball cap and busy gold-and-white sneakers.

Kaley Cuoco sported this sweet black gown — a sleeveless number with a subtly checkered bodice, a straight neckline and a full, subtly pleated skirt — at the Los Angeles premiere of her show "The Flight Attendant" on April 12.

Darling in Dior! Amanda Seyfried turned up to the finale screening of her hit Hulu series "The Dropout" in Los Angeles on April 11 in this short-sleeved green minidress that she paired with black strappy sandals for a low-key yet chic red carpet moment.

Sofia Carson's look at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on April 9 certainly started out strong — we loved that cheery orange Giambattista Valli minidress — but the styling ruined the look. Pairing the sweet ruffled dress with dramatic black leather boots missed the mark.

Not so mellow yellow! Garcelle Beauvais rocked a sweet bold yellow pantsuit in New York City on April 13 and added another shade of the springtime hue with her bag, then kept the accessories coming with white loafers and a bold necklace.

Karamo Brown might have been judging fashion over at E! during awards season, so we were stunned by what he wore to the CMT Music Awards on April 11: a bizarre one-piece creation. He styled the wide-legged look with a jacket and fancy cowboy boots while also rocking a black hat — a puzzling combination.

There's a new guy in Katie Holmes' life. One year after the "Dawson's Creek" alum's New York City-centric romance with chef Emilio Vitolo fizzled, the actress was spotted sharing a public smooch and holding hands with Grammy-nominated musician Bobby Wooten III in the Big Apple on Thursday, April 28. It looks like they know each other pretty well, too — photos published by People show show Bobby hugging Katie's mom. The pair reportedly spent Thursday visiting Central Park and the Guggenheim Museum, sticking to the subway to get around town. In addition to playing bass with the likes of David Byrne, Bobby, 33, has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Mac Miller, Jennifer Hudson and Rick Ross, according to NYU's Clive Davis Institute, which lists him as an adjunct professor in the Tisch School. Like Katie, 43, Bobby hails from the Midwest (he's from Chicago while her hometown is Toledo, Ohio). Katie, who reportedly dated chef Emilio in 2020 and 2021, is currently directing and starring in a film adaption of the novel, "Rare Objects."

Pete Davidson supports Kim Kardashian at Blac Chyna trial closing arguments

As the Kardashian-Jenner family listened to closing arguments at Blac Chyna's $100 million defamation trial against them on Thursday, April 29, Kim Kardashian had some support from boyfriend Pete Davidson, who sat in the audience during the proceedings, according to Today.com. Chyna, the mother of Rob Kardashian's daughter, Dream, filed suit against her ex's family based on allegations they intentionally tanked the reality show she starred in with Rob when they were together by damaging her reputation. She also claims they destroyed various business deals for Chyna, that affected the viability of her TV career. When Pete arrived, he hugged Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, and sister, Kylie Jenner, then sat beside a member of the Kar-Jenner family's security staff near the back of the courtroom, Today reported. During closing arguments, Kim's family's lawyer said the "central problem in this case" was that "Rob & Chyna" "was never her show," according to People. Instead, he argued, "It was a show about a relationship. It was about both of them." When the relationship failed, he added, the content that was intended to be a "lighthearted romantic comedy" "became dark and heavy," which he said is the real reason it was canceled. Chyna's attorney, meanwhile, reportedly argued there was no truth to claims her client staged a "murderous attack" against Rob, noting that if he had been genuinely afraid for his safety he would have called 911 and removed their daughter from the home. On Friday, the court found "no evidence" Kim was "responsible" for defaming Chyna, Page Six reported.

Dolly Parton confirms she'd accept Rock Hall induction after all

Dolly Parton has changed her mind — politely, of course — about her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, saying she will accept an induction "gracefully" should she be chosen. In March, the country legend shared a statement in response to her nomination for the next class of Rock Hall inductees, saying that while she was "extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated," she didn't feel that she'd "earned that right," since she's never considered herself to be a rock musician and she didn't want to split votes on a more qualified candidate. The Hall quickly replied by announcing she could still be inducted since inductees are not limited to artists who focus on rock and roll. Fast forward to Dolly's interview with Rachel Martin on the Friday, April 29 edition of NPR's "Morning Edition," and it seems she's changed her tune. Asked, "What do you do if, despite your objections, you're still inducted?," Dolly replied: "Well, I'll accept gracefully. I would just say thanks and I'll accept it because the fans vote." Explaining her previous statement, she added: " But when I said that, it was always my belief that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was for the people in rock music, and I have found out lately that it's not necessarily that. But if they can't go there to be recognized, where do they go? So I just felt like I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it, certainly more than me, 'cause I never considered myself a rock artist. But. obviously, there's more to it than that."

The fashion world bid farewell to Andre Leon Talley on Friday, April 29, at a star-packed memorial at the Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York City's Harlem neighborhood. Style icons including Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss joined designers Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Carolina Herrera, as well as Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour for the sprawling private service. At one point during her speech in praise of Vogue's trailblazing first Black editor and former creative director, Anna Wintour teared up, getting visibly emotional despite her sometimes rocky relationship with Andre, according to the Daily Mail. Naomi, Carolina and Diane reportedly spoke as well. The service comes just days before the 2022 Met Gala, which the Mail reports Andre helped plan. The fashion journalist died on Jan. 18 at a hospital in White Plains, New York, after suffering complications from a heart attack and COVID-19. He was 73.

Ellen DeGeneres shares heartfelt goodbye message after filming final show

That's it for "The Ellen Show" — well, sort of. On Thursday, April 28, Ellen DeGeneres filmed the final episode of her long-running daytime talk show, set to air May 26. "When we started this show in 2003, the iPhone didn't exist," she wrote in a goodbye post on Instagram after wrapping the shoot. "Social Media didn't exist. Gay marriage wasn't legal," continued the star, who became the first sitcom lead to acknowledge she was gay in 1997, when she came out both on her show and in Time magazine. "We watched the world change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not," Ellen continued in her post. "But whatever was happening, my goal was always for the show to be a place where we could all come together and laugh for an hour." In closing, she told fans: "Being invited into your lives has been the greatest privilege of my life and has brought me incredible joy. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." The 64-year-old comic announced she planned to give up the series last spring, saying she felt the current 19th season "was the right time to end this amazing chapter." Around the same time, she clarified on "Today" that her decision to end "Ellen" wasn't due to allegations she fostered a "toxic workplace." "If it was why I was quitting, I would have not come back this year," she said in 2021. "I really did think about not coming back, because it was devastating. It started with attacks on me and attacking everything that I stand for and believe in and built my career around…I am a kind person. I am a person who likes to make people happy."

Christina Hall says ex Ant Anstead's custody filing 'deeply saddens' her

Christina Hall (previously, Christina Haack) says her ex, Ant Anstead's filing for sole custody of their 2-year-old son Hudson "deeply saddens" her as she filed a response to his claims this week. In his filing, Ant claimed he was already acting as Hudson's "sole parent," with Christina spending only seven to nine days a month with him, while he covered the rest. "What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested," Christina told People in a report published on Friday, April 29. In her own filing, she denied her ex's claims that she's been generally absent in Hudson's life. "[I was] shocked to see the false allegations against me and [Ant's] belief that he has been failing to protect our son by sharing custodial time with me," Christina and her attorneys said in the response. "That is why there is a huge discrepancy in his mind from our accurate schedule. His attempt to mislead the court is transparent when presented with the true facts," she added, describing herself as a "supportive coparent" and sharing what she says is an "accurate schedule" of the time she spends with her son. On Thursday, Ant's ex parte application was denied, meaning the court didn't find the situation to be an emergency that warrants an immediate hearing. "I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them," Christina told People. A hearing is scheduled for June 28, according to the outlet.

Chelsea Handler says stress, heart issue caused 'hospital scare'

Once we entered the post-vax era of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chelsea Handler hit the road on a standup tour to help fill the "dearth of joyfulness" she saw in the world. But when she had "a hospital scare" a few months ago, she realized she needed to chill out and laugh more as much as her audience. "I had a hospital scare after a show … a couple months ago," she told E! News in an interview published this week. "I had this cardiomyopathy, which means, like, an adrenaline shot to the heart," she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, cardiomyopathy is a serious, progressive disease that affects how the heart pumps blood to the rest of the body. Left untreated, it can be life-threatening and lead to heart failure. "I was like, 'Was this an instance, or was this building?'" she recalled asking. "And the doctor says, 'Well, it's an instance, but you've basically been very stressed for a long period of time, and you probably did not recognize that.' And I was like, "Oh, s***,'" Chelsea continued. "[The doctor] goes, 'I don't know a lot about you, but isn't your whole shtick that you don't take yourself too seriously?' And I went, 'Yeah …' And he goes, 'Well, then you should start taking your own advice because you're taking yourself too seriously.'" At that point, she told E!, she realized she needed to make some changes. "I thought, 'God, you're right. What am I doing here? I'm stressed out so much that I landed in the hospital?'" The comic, 47, ended up canceling a few shows. Though she says she's "fine now," she took the experience as "a good reminder to let everything go."
