Legendary supermodel, 66, reveals hip replacement surgery scar

A few weeks before her 67th birthday, Christie Brinkley revealed her recent hip surgery scar to her Instagram followers.

"I found swimming to be great rehab for my hip! Def the most fun too!" she captioned a photo slideshow of herself resting on a rock on the beach on Jan. 23. In the snapshot, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue legend is wearing a black one-piece bathing suit that reveals the scar that's healing on her right hip.

"I kept the scar covered from the sun for better healing, but one of the band -aids fell off. I wish I could start everyday with a snorkel! Hope you are all diving into a beautiful day! 🌝🤿🌊🐟🐠🐡🐬," she added.

Back on Jan. 5, the supermodel shared the news of her surgery with fans in a different Instagram post, though in that one, her scar was completely covered by flesh-colored bandages.

"New Year, New Hip! Yes that's a band aid on my hip. I injured my hip in a back country skiing helicopter crash on a mountaintop in Telluride many years ago," she explained in a lengthy caption next to a photo slideshow of an early morning snorkeling adventure. "The pain in my hip got a little bit worse each year. 12 years ago I was told it needed to be replaced but the surgery was daunting ! And I had things to do!

"But quarantine put a damper on any plans so I decided to finally take time for myself and do something about the pain that had progressively influenced my decisions," Christie continued. "I wanted to be ready to be able to say yes to opportunity. I had my surgery at Thanksgiving and I was dancing in my kitchen by New Years Eve and today I put on my long fins and explored the coral reefs propelled by my new hip!"

She then urged her followers to take care of themselves too. "I'm writing all this to say If you've been putting something off that could improve your well-being but hesitate out of some sort of fear, I suggest learning as much as you can about the process and the results and expectations," Christie wrote. "I found the best Doctor for my circumstances and voila! I can't tell you how happy I am to have done this. Now I can focus on getting back in shape and rebuilding my strength. Never to[o] old to get hip! 😜."

Tim Robbins divorcing wife he secretly married

Tim Robbins has filed to divorce Gratiela Brancusi — which comes as a surprise to many, as it wasn't public knowledge they were married.

TMZ reported that the "Shawshank Redemption" star filed divorce documents in Los Angeles on Jan. 27.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

Although it's unclear when Tim and Gratiela actually married, they've been linked for three years. The Oscar-winning actor brought the much younger beauty to the premiere of his HBO show "Here and Now" in February 2018. They later attended more events together but maintained a relatively under-the-radar romance.

According to divorce documents, they did not have children. Gratiela has yet to respond to the actor's divorce filing.

Tim famously dated Susan Sarandon for decades before splitting in 2009. They share two adult children: sons Jack and Miles.

Tim and Gratiela were last publicly photographed together at a New York Rangers hockey game in December 2019.

Pamela Anderson secretly married boyfriend over Christmas

Pamela Anderson is a married woman again.

The actress secretly married her bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst, on Christmas Eve, DailyMailTV reported on Jan. 27. This is her fifth marriage.

Swan Gallet/WWD/REX/Shutterstock

The couple tied the knot at her home in Canada.

"I'm exactly where I need to be — in the arms of a man who truly loves me," she told DailyMailTV, which published photos from their big day last month.

The nuptials were conducted by a local pastor, she said.

"I am in love. We were married Christmas Eve with both our families' blessing, everyone we know is happy for us," Pam, 53, said. "I was married on the property I bought from my grandparents 25 years ago, this is where my parents were married and they are still together. I feel like I've come full circle."

Pam wore a Cinderella-inspired blue bridal skirt and cream corseted ensemble styled by Janet Ross, the Daily Mail reports.

"I think this romantic property has a lot of healing energy, I'm at peace here," she said. "It's a big property but a few people passing by could see the fairytale gown with the long Princess Diana veil dragging in the mud. Heaven."

No family or friends were present.

Pam was first linked to her new husband last fall. "He's in his 40s. A real man, finally," a source close to Pam told Page Six of Dan. "He knows how to handle her. It's very cool to see. She's completely comfortable, and they're never out of each other's sight."

A source close to the couple told DailyMailTV of the model-actress and her new husband, "Pamela fell in love with the boy next door. This is who she would have ended up with if she never left Vancouver Island. It proves she's the same little girl that might have lived there all along. It's like everything else was just a dream. Pamela and Dan are doing wonderful things together. He is donating his time to build a barn for a local animal sanctuary. They are very involved in helping their community, including helping to find ways to positively support First Nations vulnerable children."

"Dan and Pam have huge hearts. And their small town of Ladysmith has fallen head over heels for this homegrown love story," the source continued. "Dan married the girl of his dreams and is so proud of Pamela's accomplishments. He supports her every move."

Less than a year ago, Pam reportedly married businessman Jon Peters, 74, though they split just 12 days later. She later claimed they were never legally married.

She was previously married to Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee from 1995 to 1998. She married Kid Rock in 2006. And she married producer Rick Solomon twice — once in 2007 and again 2013, though the first married was annulled.

'Mighty Ducks' star celebrates one year of sobriety

"The Mighty Ducks" star Shaun Weiss just achieved a big goal.

WireImage

The actor, who posed for a very troublesome mug shot last year, just celebrated one year of sobriety.

Shaun's friend Drew Gallagher posted about the accomplishment on Instagram on Jan. 27, sharing a picture of the man fans know as Goldberg from the 1992 film.

"Happy 1-year-sober for @shaunweiss What a journey and what a recovery!!! So. D—. Proud," Drew wrote in the caption.

Drew told TMZ that Shaun, 43, officially hit the milestone earlier this week and chose to delay his Christmas as part of the celebration, even waiting to open presents until Jan. 26 — the day he crossed the one-year sobriety threshold.

Fans have been invested in Shaun's wellbeing since his arrest in January 2020. At the time, police said the former child star broke into a home while high on methamphetamine. Shaun, who's had other legal problems over the years, was unrecognizable in his mug shot, which showed him looking frail and disheveled.

Marysville Police Department

Soon, Drew stepped in and promised not to abandon his pal in his time of need.

"[Shaun] is sick, he's mentally ill. He's just sick and everybody gives up on him," Drew told People magazine after the arrest.

With Drew by his side, Shaun began gaining weight and he even got new teeth, thanks to Los Angeles dentist Dr. Gabe Rosenthal, who donated the dental work. TMZ says Shaun is wearing temporary dentures for now, but his new set of teeth — top and bottom — are almost done.

GoFundMe

For the time being, Shaun is still living in a sober living house near Los Angeles.

Kelly Dodd threatens to leave 'Housewives' if nemesis returns

Kelly Dodd's days on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" may be numbered, and it all depends on one of her cast mates.

Earlier this week, Kelly spoke on Instagram Live about her future on the reality TV show.

"I know I cannot film with Braunwyn [Windham-Burke]," she said. "I know for a fact that I cannot film with her. There's just no way and if she comes back then I'm out because I know for a fact that I cannot. She's dangerous and calling people racists and homophobic."

Fans of the Bravo show know that Kelly and Braunwyn, who recently came out as gay, have been at odds for a long time.

In December 2020, Braunwyn blasted Kelly after the latter claimed that the former was once placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, something Braunwyn has denied. Kelly has also accused Braunwyn of using her past alcoholism and sobriety as a storyline.

"And … saying I'm a bad mom, I'm running around, like, traveling, well I was traveling, yes, but I was also selling two homes. And thank God I did because I'd be stuck with four mortgages, right?" Kelly said before criticizing Braunwyn for hanging out with the cast of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" last fall.

"I wasn't going to party it up with the Salt Lake City chicks," Kelly said. "If I'm coming back next year, I just can't come back next year filming with somebody so reckless. I just can't. If she's on, I'm probably out. So, that's probably the way it goes. And by the way, she says she couldn't film with me, so there you go."

Paris Hilton reveals she's undergoing IVF to start a family

Paris Hilton is getting ready to become a mother.

During an appearance on "The Trend Reporter with Mara" podcast, the former reality star revealed she's undergoing IVF and is ready to start a family with her boyfriend, Carter Reum.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

"He's just my dream guy… [Carter's] 100 percent [the one]. We talk about [planning a wedding] all the time and planning our babies' names and all of that," she said. "So I'm really excited to just move on for the next step of my life, and finally just have like a real life."

Paris, who turns 40 next month, added, "We have been doing the IVF, so I can pick twins if I like. Kim [Kardashian West] is actually the one who told me about that. I didn't even know anything about it."

The entrepreneur has been open about her desire to have kids. Last summer, she said she wanted a "mini me" and spoke about freezing her eggs.

"I think every woman should do it because you can really control it and not have that [feeling of], 'Oh my God, I need to get married,'" she told the British Sunday Times last August. "I want … twins, because then you get [a girl and a boy] at once."

Paris and Carter have been attached at the hip since they began dating. Last summer, she called him her "fairytale." In August, she gushed about him on Instagram.

"When we first met, I had no idea of the amazing journey I was about to embark on. My life was always empty, like I was missing something. But when I met you, I knew you were the one," she wrote. "You've filled my heart with so much love. I believe that everything happens for a reason because everything in my life, all the good and the bad, has led me right to you. You are my reason for me being so happy and feeling like the luckiest girl in the world! I love making you happy and promise to make you smile forever. Love so much handsome! Happy anniversary."

Lori Loughlin's husband denied early prison release

Mossimo Giannulli will remain behind bars, despite his pleas with a judge to let him serve the rest of his prison sentence at home.

KATHERINE TAYLOR/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock

Earlier this month, Lori Loughlin's husband claimed he was terrified of the coronavirus spreading in the prison system and asked the court to step in and allow him to serve the remainder of his five-month sentence in home confinement. According to TMZ, a judge said Mossimo's arguments weren't compelling enough and felt that he doesn't have a heightened risk of contracting the virus at USP Lompoc in Santa Barbara, California.

As part of Mossimo's plea, he said he'd been stuck in solitary confinement and argued that, due partially to the pandemic, the conditions in prison are "far more extreme than what the court recommended."

His complaints about isolation, the court said, aren't grounds for a home release. In fact, the court expressed that Mossimo should have essentially expected a quarantine upon entering prison. Now that his quarantine is over, Mossimo is in general population, the webloid says.

While the fashion designer bristles at his current housing arrangement, the judge said that prison systems are getting better at handling the virus and noted that vaccines are being rolled out, which should further help stop the spread.

Alex Berliner/BEI/Shutterstock

Back in March 2019, Mossimo and his "Fuller House" star wife were accused of paying a $500,000 bribe to get their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew team recruits despite neither girl participating in the sport. In May 2020, as part of a deal with prosecutors, they pleaded guilty for their roles in the case and were given prison sentences.

Lori was released from prison on Dec. 28 after serving two months. Mossimo is expected to be released on April 17, 2021.

'Fantastic Four' actor's wife tweets that he's 'leaving his family'

"The Mentalist" star Alice Evans has announced via Twitter that her husband, "Fantastic Four" actor Ioan Gruffudd, no longer loves her and has decided to "leave his family." However, that's only some of the drama.

Alberto Terenghi/IPA/Shutterstock

On Jan. 25, screen grabs published by Page Six show that Alice wrote, "Sad news. My believed husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week. Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven't been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me.'"

The tweet has since been deleted. Afterward, Alice quickly claimed that she didn't take down the tweet, alleged that Ioan, who many know from his bit role in "Titanic," deleted it.

"I didn't delete the tweet from a few hours ago about him leaving. He did. From my account," she said on Jan. 26. "And hell yes when I am being gaslit and mentally tortured then hell yes I will wash my linen in public."

Some fans questioned why Alice aired out her diary laundry that way, but one fan understood.  "I did the same when this happened to me. I think it's how one acknowledges there's no returning to what existed before," the fan wrote. "Accepting it by stating it publicly helps you to recognize the impossibility if reconciliation."

Alice agreed, "This is exactly why. And thank you. Six months of harassment: yes/no/maybe. I cannot live anymore like this."

Hannah Brown is still nursing 'DWTS' injuries

Hannah Brown won "Dancing With The Stars" back in fall 2019, but more than a year later, she's still dealing with injuries sustained during her time on the show.

AFF-USA/Shutterstock

"I think this political climate and with COVID has been hard for all of us and me too," she said on her Instagram Stories during a light walk. "Usually when I'm struggling, dealing with my mental health, I can go to working out. Well, for the past five months, maybe almost six, I haven't been able to work out like I used to."

The "Bachelorette" star did note that her physical and mental health are slowly getting better.

"I am still going to the doctor and trying to figure it out but I think a lot of my body hurting comes from some issues that started on 'Dancing With the Stars' and I just kept going from zero to 100 — I'm either all or nothing — and pushed it too much to where I now have, like, some issues that I am having to deal with physical therapy," she said. "So I've been doing that mostly and then going on some walks and bike rides, but honestly, that's it."

Hannah quickly added, "To clarify, have always had issues and pains but I think 'DWTS' put additional stress on those prior injuries."

John Salangsang/Shutterstock

In addition to her injuries, the reality TV star acknowledged that public criticism of her body hasn't been easy to hear or see.

"I'm starting to realize that more people can relate to this girl, the one who is struggling," she shared. "I'm just trying to be more honest about where I'm at. I know we all start in different places so some people stress me, they like to point out that I've gained weight, some people say I look great but I just want to feel good and I haven't felt good because I haven't been able to work out the way that I feel like my body needs."

She continued, "So instead of being zero or 100, I'm going to learn to show up where I can be right now, whether that's 50 percent, 60 percent, 35 percent my best; you've got to start somewhere."

Hannah, 26, also wrote, "My overall health is my #1 priority right now. So I'm going to continue to do all that I can right now — be more about trying new workout methods (I've always been a HIT workout, high cardio balls-to-the-wall athlete), learn to adjust and listen to my body, and continue to see medical advice to hopefully get some clarity soon!"

Miley Cyrus to perform for healthcare workers at Super Bowl

Miley Cyrus is putting her game face on for the country's heroes.

The singer announced that she'll perform for 7,500 vaccinated health care workers during the Super Bowl LV pre-game show. It's being dubbed the first-ever TikTok Tailgate.

"SUPER BOWL LV!!! 💗 🏈 I'll be there for TIKTOK TAILGATE!!!" she tweeted. "I can't wait to put on a show for the NFL's honored guests before the game…. Health care workers from Tampa and around the country!"

Broadimage/Shutterstock

Super Bowl LV will take place in Tampa, Florida. Earlier this year, the NFL announced that it will allow 22,000 fans into the stadium, including 7,500 vaccinated health care workers, who will receive free admission.

"These dedicated health care workers continue to put their own lives at risk to serve others, and we owe them our ongoing gratitude," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement earlier this year. "We hope in a small way that this initiative will inspire our country and recognize these true American heroes. This is also an opportunity to promote the importance of vaccination and appropriate health practices, including wearing masks in public settings."

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, a handful of NFL teams allowed socially-distanced crowds to attend games during the season. Likewise, the Super Bowl this year is expected to lack the usual in-person fanfare that it usually has. Still, it's not lacking star power, as The Weeknd is set to perform during the Halftime Show, and Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner." On the field, the Kanas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be led by two of biggest names in the NFL: Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, respectively.

Kate Hudson dishes on raising three kids with three different fathers

Raising children is hard… Try raising three kids from three different fathers. Welcome to Kate Hudson's world.

"I've got multiple dads. I've got kids all over the place," she joked during an appearance on the "Today" show on Jan. 24.

Kristina Bumphrey/Starpix/Shutterstock

Kate shares son Ryder, 17, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, son Bingham, 9, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy and daughter Rani Rose, 2, with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

"The only expectations I really have that are really high on my life is with my kids and with family stuff," she said. "Other than that, it's like, I just let it go, I do it, work my a— off, and then I walk away, and I hope for the best."

@KateHudson/Instagram

Kate's family dynamic certainly seems to work for her. Growing up, that wasn't the case — she's famously estranged from her birth father, Bill Hudson, and several of her siblings.

"I think that estrangement is unfortunately quite common," she said. "I think it's important for people to talk about that. Sometimes we need a little bit of talk and humor to move us into places where we can heal some of the wounds that have affected us from our families. If they can't reconnect or if it's too challenging, that it's okay, right?"

Rob Latour/REX/Shutterstock

The estrangement from her dad, she said, is a "41-year-old issue." The actress, who's 41, then praised the family she has now, including her mother, Goldie Hawn, and Goldie's longtime partner Kurt Russell.

"I have a beautiful mother. I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a huge, huge part in sharing what it is to have a dependable father figure in our life," she said. "But it doesn't take away from the fact that we didn't know our dad. People sometimes need to hear they're not alone in that."

Kodak Black seemingly reneges on $1M charity offer after pardon

While pleading for a Presidential pardon during Donald Trump's final months in the Oval Office, Kodak Black made a bit of a quid pro quo offer — the rapper promised to give $1 million to charity if he was pardoned.

"If The President Them Free Me, I'm Gonna Spend 1 million on Charity within The First Year I'm Out. That's on Everything," he tweeted on Nov. 27.

MIKE NELSON/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock

He officially received a pardon on Trump's last day in office. Not long after, several bloggers noticed that Kodak's promissory tweet had suddenly disappeared.

Kodak had served nearly half of his 48-month prison sentence before the pardon. The rapper had pleaded guilty to a federal firearms charge following an incident in May 2019. He also admitted to lying about his criminal history while acquiring firearms.

Since the pardon, social media has been reminding Kodak of his promise. His attorney, though, tells TMZ that he constantly donates to various charities and doesn't need to prove himself. He also questioned the charitableness of those questioning his intent.

"A statement promising something for something in exchange is not appropriate and although Kodak has always given to charity his whole career and will continue to do charity, not in exchange for anything. Some think this is a story. It isn't," his attorney said. "Instead of harping on a young Black man and how much charity he does, why don't we take a look at the amount of charity the writers of these articles do? Last week, Kodak pledged $100k to setting up a scholarship fund in the name of Meadow Pollack. The week before he donated $50k to barstool fund to help small businesses. That's $150k and he's been out 5 days."

PETA upset with 'Tiger King' star following Larsa Pippen visit

"Tiger King" star Doc Antle has once again angered the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and this time, their anger is linked to Larsa Pippen.

On Jan. 17, the socialite posted photos from Doc's zoo that show her in a pool with several tigers. Other photos show her kids playing with the animals at Myrtle Beach Safari.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CKJ1eSQh4QM/

PETA was not pleased. They sent a three-page letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture requesting an investigation into the "Tiger King" star for alleged violations of the Animal Welfare Act, TMZ reported, while also publishing a copy of the complaint.

"PETA has repeatedly reported Antle's dangerous stunts to the USDA… And yet, the USDA has apparently refused to take any meaningful action to prevent Antle from allowing these types of dangerous, direct contact stunts," the letter says.

PETA's biggest complaint is that Larsa and her kids had direct contact with the animals. In the letter, PETA also says the close contact put the animals at risk for COVID-19.

Doc told TMZ that Larsa took a tour of his property before shooting footage for a PSA on wild tiger conservation. Part of the tour included playing around with tiger cubs and primates. Doc added that he was compliant with USDA guidelines and recommendations.

Although the flamboyant and now-imprisoned Joe Exotic got the bevy of attention on Netflix's "Tiger King," Doc was also heavily featured in the series. Why Katie Couric's Trump comments could affect her future on 'Jeopardy!'

Producers at "Jeopardy!" are reportedly worried Katie Couric's recent remarks about Donald Trump and his supporters will turn off the show's largely conservative audience.

Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock

The former "Today" host — who's set to take over as a guest presenter on the trivia show in the wake of Alex Trebek's death — joined Bill Maher for a discussion about Donald Trump's legacy on the Jan. 15 edition of "Real Time."

During her appearance, Couric expressed frustration with congressional Republicans whom she said seem to be "believing the garbage that they are being fed 24/7 on the internet, by their constituents, and they bought into this big lie."

Couric added, "And the question is how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump."

She also expressed support for the outgoing president's second impeachment as well as his ban from Twitter, both of which came as Trump's comments at a MAGA rally were tied to the violent insurrection his supporters staged at the U.S. Capitol.

Speaking to Page Six in a report published late on Friday, Jan. 22, a "TV insider" said the veteran journalist's comments "immediately worried" "Jeopardy!" producers.

That's apparently because the show's demographic is older — the median age of its viewers is 64.2 — and "very conservative," according to the source.

"And the show has always steered clear of politics," the insider continued, noting that producers are concerned about the timing of her comments, which could spark "a backlash against her" from its key viewers.

"'Jeopardy!' viewers are quite a traditional bunch, and there's fears she might be too polarizing after this," the source said. "At the very least, she already appears to have ruled herself out of becoming the permanent host of the show."

NINA PROMMER/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock

Couric's comments have already come under fire from conservative pundits including Fox News contributor Joe Concha.

A second insider suggested similar concerns likely influenced the apology Ken Jennings gave in December for anti-Trump tweets he posted years earlier. That mea culpa came less than a month before he guest hosted the show.

"Katie will be under huge pressure to apologize also," the source predicted.

Alex Trebek, who died in November following a battle with pancreatic cancer, pre-taped a handful of "Jeopardy!" episodes shortly before his death. The final one aired on Jan. 8.

Couric will be the first woman to ever host the show. Actress Mayim Bialik and NFL star Aaron Rodgers are also on tap to serve as upcoming guest hosts.
