'Cobra Kai' star Sean Kanan nearly died while filming 'Karate Kid III'

Sean Kanan made a name for himself after starring in "Karate Kid III" in the late '80s, but his work almost never saw the big screen. In fact, he almost died during filming and then made some questionable decisions to keep his role.

The actor, now 55, revealed that she suffered internal bleeding while shooting the third installment of the "Karate Kid" films.

In a chat with DailyMail.com, Sean recalled feeling some pain in his thigh while filming the franchise's third installment, but he believed it was nothing more than a minor injury from all the karate he'd been doing. Soon after, during a production halt for a Christmas hiatus, Sean and a pal headed to Las Vegas.

"I passed out in the Dunes Casino and it turned out that the pain in my leg was internal bleeding and it was the blood dripping down on my femoral artery," Sean said. "I'd been bleeding for days and so they rushed me to the hospital. They said, 'We don't know if we can save your life – we're going to try.'"

The "Bold and the Beautiful" vet added, "It was the scariest thing that's ever happened to me in my life."

In that moment, Sean was several weeks into playing bad boy Mike Barnes and he was fearful of being recast.

"I knew if they cut through the abdominal muscles, I'd be out of the film. There's no way to get back to heal that quickly," he said.

In the end, the doctors were able to avoid slicing through his abs.

"They obviously saved my life. And, I got a call from the studio – no flowers, no balloons – just you need to be back at work in, I think it was like, 12 days or something or we're going to recast," Sean said, recalling that he was "crushed" and then angry by the studio's response.

To this day, he still thinks the studio handled his situation poorly.

Still, knowing that being recast was a real possibility, Sean asked to be discharged against medical advice. Then, just days after being released from the hospital for a near-fatal injury, he shot nearly all of his own stunts.

"I wound up being able to do all my own stunts [with] the exception of, I think, one driving stunt I didn't do," he said. "When people ask me [if] 'Karate Kid III' [is] a special movie to me, I think a lot of people think it is because it inserted me into this worldwide phenomenon. It's not because of that. It's because at 22/23-years-old, I remember I was faced with my own mortality. They didn't know if I could live."

"I had to fight," he continued. "As I was going into surgery, I could feel myself getting cold and getting tired and slipping away. I knew I could just … go to sleep."

As a permanent reminder of that experience, Sean sports a 15-inch scar down the center of his abdomen.

"As terrible an experience as it was at the time, I wouldn't trade it because it was one of the most defining experiences of my life," he said. "And it's a hell of a story."

Fast forward to 2022, Sean has reprised his Mike Barnes character for season 5 of Netflix's "Cobra Kai," calling it a "humbling" experience to work with Ralph Macchio again.

"It was great to be able to work with Ralph now as a man, as opposed to being like this 22-year-old kid who was just getting into the business," he said. "It was bizarre. At one point, Ralph and I were just looking at each other. Do you believe this? It's humbling."

The "Real Housewives of New York City" star spoke happily about her sober lifestyle while on SiriusXM's "Jeff Lewis Live," claiming she's slimmer than ever since cutting out alcohol.

"It's just become a lifestyle for me that is just so much better," she said. "I'm happier. I'm healthier. I lost weight."

Luann's struggle with alcohol is well known. The reality TV star was arrested on Christmas Eve 2017 in Palm Beach, Florida, after she allegedly attacked a cop while she was drunk. As part of a plea deal, she was prohibited from drinking alcohol. She was against taken into custody — in handcuffs — in 2019 for probation violations.

Earlier this year she fell off the wagon again and was kicked out of a gay piano bar, Page Six reported.

While speaking to Jeff, Luann said she's sober again.

"You spend a lot less on Ubers, you don't have to apologize the next day for something you did, you don't wind up, like me, on Page Six, 'cause you, you know, screwed up somewhere," she said. "I just feel like it doesn't work for me like it used to. You know, I used to have like hair the dog and then the next day drink, but it didn't work anymore."

"I've been forgiven a couple times for my faux pas, let's put it that way," she continued. "And I just feel like I don't wanna ask anymore for forgiveness. I don't wanna be in that position anymore. I don't wanna feel that shame and blame the next day. It's just not worth it."

Jessica Simpson gets needle-free face lift: 'It gives me chill bumps'

Jessica Simpson is facing it.

On Thursday, Oct. 13, the fashion mogul revealed that she had a noninvasive face lift, and she even posted video of the skin treatment called Emface.

"It tickles," Jessica said during the procedure. "It gives me chill bumps."

With several pads attached to her face, the doctor asked Jessica if she's "having fun yet."

"Yeah," she said, "I get it."

Jessica has strong and funny reactions to the procedure, particularly when the doctor, presumably Beverly Hills Dr. Brian M. Kinney, turns up the intensity on the pads. "I've been kissed by Emface, just all over," she said while people can be heard laughing in the background.

After posting the video, Jessica said, "Getting kissed by @emface and can't wait to see my results!"

The 20-minute needle-free procedure is said to treat muscles and facial skin, giving patients fewer wrinkles. On its website, Emface claims it "remodels & smooths skin by heating the dermis and increasing the levels of collagen and elastin fibers." It further said the procedure reduced wrinkles by 37% and has a 23% "lifting effect."

Jessica is just one of several celebrities who's partnered with Emface. Rebel Wilson and Brooke Burke have both previously praised the procedure.

Rachel Bilson talks forgiveness with Bling Ring member who once burglarized her home

Despite having "conflicting feelings" about the idea, Rachel Bilson recently used her "Broad Ideas" podcast to confront one of the Bling Ring members who burglarized her home more than a decade ago. "To be grown up and actually have real conversations is more important than harboring any awkwardness, animosity, any negative feelings that might come along with it," Rachel told her guests, sisters Alexis Haines and Gabby Neiers, according to ET. As the conversation kicked off, Alexis said she hadn't been part of the group when it targeted Rachel's house. Gabby, however, had broken in and taken belongings including Rachel's mother's engagement ring. "I am so sorry that I ever made the choice to go into your home that night," Gabby told Rachel. "I wish that I could take it back. It's been a living nightmare for you for the past 10 years, 11 years. As a mother now, all you want to do is protect your babies, and I know that I stripped you of feeling safe in your home and I am so sorry," she said later in the show. Rachel, 41, replied by saying she believes Gabby is "genuinely sorry" for what she did when she was only 15. "I learned the lesson to detach from material possessions, because every material possession of mine was taken," she recalled. "That feeling of violation, it's hard to describe unless it's happened to you personally." At another point, Gabby described having tried to "forget" about what she'd done, telling Rachel, "I stole your ability to feel safe in your own home. That's the pain that I sit with." Rachel ultimately urged her to "let go" of those feelings, saying she'd done so long ago. "You obviously have remorse for going into the house and taking things and I see that," Rachel told Gabby. "You guys did come here. It's a very vulnerable position to be in. It takes a lot to confront anything in your past that is uncomfortable in any way." According to Alexis, Gabby apologized on-camera to Rachel for Netflix's "The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist," but the network edited it out.

Tom Cruise slated to take the first-ever civilian spacewalk outside the International Space Station

Tom Cruise could soon become "the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the [International] Space Station." That's according to Universal Pictures Chair Donna Langley, who recently shared an update on the studio's plan to launch the "Top Gun: Maverick" star into space to shoot part of an action film that's been in the works since 2020. Tom, who's famously done most of his own stunts for the "Mission Impossible" films, and director Doug Liman pitched the movie to Donna on Zoom at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she told the BBC in an interview published this week. "[The movie] takes place on earth, and then the character needs to go up to space to save the day." When the project got a green light two years ago, Universal boasted it would be the first scripted feature film to shoot in space. As of last year, both NASA and Elon Musk's SpaceX had signed on to prepare and send Tom on his way, though it's unclear if they're still involved, according to Insider. Deadline reports the cost of producing Tom's space film could soar as high as an estimated $200 million. That's not too bad, considering the star's latest project, "Top Gun: Maverick," has already grossed $1.48 billion worldwide since its May 2022 release.

Paris Hilton says reform school staff performed sexually abusive 'medical exams' on her as a teen

Paris Hilton has come forward with new allegations she was sexually abused as a teen by staff at Provo Canyon School, the Utah reform facility where she's previously said, under oath, she was abused physically and emotionally in the late '90s. "I opened up in a @NYTimes video about something I've never discussed before," Paris tweeted on Tuesday (Oct. 11). "At Provo Canyon School, I was woken up in the middle of the night by male staff who ushered me into a private room and performed cervical exams on me in the middle of the night," she wrote, sharing a link to her interview with the New York Times. The outlet spoke with multiple people who, like Paris, say they were sent away to facilities for troubled teens that ended up traumatizing them even further. "Very late at night, this would be around like three or four in the morning, they would take myself and other girls into this room and they would perform medical exams," Paris recalled in the video. She went on to allege the nonconsensual "exams" were performed not by doctors but by staff members, who used "their fingers." Said Paris: "And it was really scary, and it's something that I really had blocked out for many year. But it's coming back all the time now, and I think about it. And now, looking back as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse." At least one other survivor replied to Paris' tweet by saying the same thing happened to her "both times" she attended the school. On Twitter, Paris recalled, "I cried while they held me down & said, 'No!' They just said, 'Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you'll go to Obs.'" Now 41 and married, she said she's going public now with "these painful memories" so she can "heal and help put an end to this abuse."

'American Idol' runner-up Willie Spence dies at 23

Soul singer Willie Spence, whose "American Idol" performance of Rihanna's "Diamonds" helped him land the Season 19 runner-up title, has died, the show confirmed on Wednesday (Oct. 12). He was 23. Douglas Now, a local news outlet in Willie's hometown of Douglas, Georgia, reported on Tuesday that he died "due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Tennessee." Katharine McPhee, who worked with Willie when she returned to "Idol" as a mentor last year, posted about the "tragic news" on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night. "Sweet @williespenceofficial passed away in a car accident. Only 23 years old," she shared (via Us Weekly). "Life is so unfair and nothing is ever promised. God rest your soul Willie. It was a pleasure to sing with you and to know you." She also shared a clip of the two talking about their shared experience of dedicating their music to loved ones they'd recently lost. "One of the things I think is really special about you and that I love about singers is their ability to make you feel like you're telling a story," she said in the video. Season 19 finalist Caleb Kennedy, posted about Willie as well, telling the late singer, "Your voice will forever be in my heart. I'm gonna miss you so much big guy can't wait to hear that voice when I make it up there!! 💔." The official "American Idol" Instagram remembered Willie as "a true talent who lit up every room he entered and will be deeply missed."

John Stamos can't see a 'Full House' reboot without Bob Saget

John Stamos says he can't imagine rebooting "Full House" now that his best friend and longtime co-star Bob Saget is gone. "It's just not the same without him," John told E! News when asked if he would ever reprise his role as Jesse in a reboot. "There's something missing, there's a piece missing." Bob, who played Danny Tanner on the beloved sitcom, was found dead in his Florida hotel room in January at age 65. His death inspired an ongoing wave of tributes to the late comic and actor, including one for Netflix that John described as "beautiful" in his conversation with E!. "Every chance I get, I talk about him," he said of his friend. "If we're real quiet, we could hear him complaining right now that I don't talk about him enough," he joked. "We'll continue to do tributes to him, but I don't know about a 'Full House' one, though." The longtime friends starred in all eight seasons of the original show, which ran from 1987 until 1985. They also appeared in Netflix's "Full House" revival, "Fuller House," which aired for five seasons beginning in 2016.

Oprah Winfrey reveals she underwent double knee surgery

Oprah Winfrey has a newfound appreciation for every part of her body after undergoing not one, but two knee surgeries in 2021. "I had double knee surgery last year," Oprah, 68, said in a class on gratitude for her series, "The Life You Want" on Tuesday (Oct. 11). "I had knee surgery in August, and then I had another knee surgery in November," she shared. "When I came home the first time, I literally could not lift my leg. I couldn't lift my heel off of the bed, and I vowed if I was ever able to get up, walk around, and move again — that I would take advantage of movement, exercise, and of being able to be fully in my body." Despite the severe pain, she eventually exercise to her recovery routine. "As I was rehabilitating, I started hiking. Everyday, I tried to hike more and do more," she said. "My appreciation for every organ and every limb has expanded exponentially," Oprah added.

Cyndi Lauper credits late mom with inspiring new abortion fund

Cyndi Lauper has launched of a new fund in support of organizations fighting to protect and advance women's rights — including their right to access safe reproductive healthcare. Named in honor of her classic '80s hit and the Women's March signs it inspired a few years ago, the new Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund is a response to the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade earlier this year, Cyndi told People. "If you don't have control over your own body, how can you be anything but a second-class citizen?" she asked. "Now, the government has control over your body — not you. What should be a private medical decision between you and your doctor is now a government decision. So, this is a big issue for me." The singer, 69, also credited her late mom, Catrine, with helping to inspire her push to protect women's rights. Having watched her mom go through two difficult divorces when Cyndi was young, she recalled, "I got to see firsthand the inequalities and the dichotomy of what it was like to be a woman in the world." As part of the fundraising efforts, the pop star has also released a video for a new version of her moving 1993 song, "Sally's Pigeons," which tackled the unnecessary death of a teenage girl caused by an illegal abortion. Reflecting on the deaths she read about earlier in her life when "you couldn't have a safe [abortion] procedure," Cyndi added, "Young people don't know what it was like. I saw it every day. I knew how it affected a lot of young women."

Wonderwall.com rounded up the biggest bombshells from season 2 of "The Kardashians" — which debuted on Hulu on Sept. 22, 2022, and drops new episodes on Thursdays — starting with this revelation that's sure to make your jaw drop… Kourtney Kardashian explained on the Oct. 6, 2022, episode of "The Kardashians" that her husband, Travis Barker, helped her learn to love her new curves. "Every day Travis is like, 'You're perfect.' If I make one complaint, he's like, 'You're perfect. You're so fine. … You're so fine. You've never been better.' And now I'm so into it," she said. She added during a confessional, "Having a partner who's so supportive of me and always complimenting me no matter what, it's just helped me to really embrace the changes — and actually to the point where I love the changes now. … When I was super skinny, it's a time that I was super anxious — not about eating, not about staying at a certain weight, but just from being in toxic relationships. I used to always say this: When I'm super skinny, just know I'm not happy." The mother of three — who split from Scott Disick in 2015 following nearly a decade of off-and-on coupledom — went on to gush over her new figure: "My a** is amazing. I'm so into my thicker body. I looked at photos of my body when I was so skinny, it is cringey," she said. She concluded by saying she loves "being curvier" and channeling "that queen energy" and "embracing the woman" she's become.

Kourtney gained 10 pounds during her IVF journey

On the Oct. 6, 2022, episode of "The Kardashians," Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she gained 10 pounds while pursuing IVF as a means of welcoming a baby with husband Travis Barker. "I used to be, like, 95 pounds — and then 105 became my new normal weight. I'm 115. I used to be stuck on the number. … I used to go so much by weight," she said while prepping for a scantily-clad photo shoot. Explained the mother of three, "Obviously my body's changed, but it was, like, all of the hormones that the doctors put me on." She added during a confessional, "Eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body — mentally and physically. It's taken a lot to get me to the place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes." She also noted that "everyone always comments in every photo" that she posts on Instagram that she looks pregnant amid her recent weight-gain.

People thought Kim was Kendall's mother when they were younger

On the Oct. 6, 2022, episode of "The Kardashians," Kim Kardashian and her younger half-sister, Kendall Jenner, traveled together to Italy for Milan Fashion Week. During a confessional, Kim said that she's "always taken on these momager roles" when she's traveling with her family — especially with Kendall. "Kendall and I have a really special relationship," Kim said. "I was 16 when she was born. I would always have to go on work trips with my mom and be Kendall's babysitter, and everyone thought I was her mom. Kris explained how she named her six kids — and briefly forgot her only son's middle name

On the Sept. 29 episode of "The Kardashians," Kris Jenner explained how she named her six children: "I knew my kids' names before they were born," she said. "I loved the name Kourtney, and then I thought it would be really interesting to put a K on it. So that was easy. And then Kim, Christmas is my favorite day of the year, and I love the name Noelle, so that was gonna be maybe her name. But then it didn't start with a K and Koelle sounded really weird, so it was Kimberly Noelle. And then Khloe, I loved Chloé the designer, and then I tried Khloe with a K and that was really good too. Kim, Kendall and Kylie were concerned about Khloe's dramatic weight-loss

On the Sept. 29 episode of "The Kardashians," which was filmed in early 2022, Kim Kardashian revealed that several members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan had concerns about Khloe Kardashian's dramatic weight-loss amid Tristan Thompson's paternity scandal following an affair. "You look very skinny," Kim told her sister, adding that Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner texted her to "say that they were a little concerned" because Khloe had gotten "really skinny" at the time. "I said, 'I think she's a bit stressed. … No, guys, she's fine. … You absolutely have every right to be concerned, but I'm telling you, she's fine,'" Kim recalled. Later in the episode, Kendall told Khloe directly while hugging her, "You look so skinny. … You feel so skinny."

Kylie was pressured to name her son Wolf

On the Sept. 29 episode of "The Kardashians," Kylie Jenner told mom Kris Jenner that she and Travis Scott had landed on their son's "official name" after previously changing their minds about calling him Wolf. "I'm not gonna announce it yet because God forbid we change it again," she said before revealing that Khloe Kardashian is the one who originally came up with Wolf. "We really didn't have a name. I just thought it was gonna come to us when we saw him — and it didn't. Tristan previously proposed to Khloe, but she said no and never told her family

On the Sept. 29 episode of "The Kardashians," Kim Kardashian revealed that Tristan Thompson proposed to Khloe Kardashian — but she said no and kept the unsuccessful proposal a secret from her family: "He proposed and you never told us. I asked him months later — the night after I thought it happened — and he's like, 'Oh, I did it months ago. She didn't tell you guys?'" Kim recalled. She later added in a confessional, "I'll never forget Tristan calling me, and he was gonna propose to her on Valentine's Day, which was, like, a year since they had [a round of cheating] drama. … And then I called him, like, the day after, and I was like, 'Hey, I never heard anything from Khloe. Oh my God, did you propose?' And he was like, 'Oh yeah, I did in December.' Oh my God, she didn't tell us." Explained Khloe of her decision, "I said, 'I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I'm engaged to anyone.' And that's why I said, 'I'm not comfortable accepting this right now because I'm not excited to tell my family.' And as hurtful as that probably was for him to hear, it was the truth. I'm not ever gonna accept something and give someone false hope, and I said that to him."

Kourtney can't keep up with the ever-expanding Kardashian-Jenner clan

On the second episode of season 2 of "The Kardashians," which debuted on Sept. 29, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she'd lost track of how many nieces and nephews she has. "I have no idea. Maybe 12? I honestly don't know," she said as little sister Kylie Jenner welcomed her second child.

Kris has a condo in Beverly Hills she forgot about

"I forgot you even had this place," Khloe Kardashian told Kris Jenner during a visit to her mother's condo in Beverly Hills on the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians," which was filmed in the spring of 2022. "This is a cute little place, if I must say so myself," said Kris, adding that she last visited the property over Christmas. "This is our gift-wrapping station. This is Santa's workshop," she said. Replied Khloe, "I can't wait to be wealthy enough to forget I have property somewhere — just like, 'Oh, I have a condo in Beverly Hills? I forgot about that!'" Kris later explained in a confessional, "Here's the thing: I have a condo and my mom has one and my cousin [Cici Bussey] has one, and we all live nearby and I kind of forgot it was there. That sound so ridiculous, doesn't it?" The mother-daughter duo then cleaned out the condo's fridge, which was mostly stocked with bottles of champagne. ("In case of emergency," said Kris.) As the two women filled a trash bag, Khloe teased her mom, "You take out the trash? Good for you!" Joked Kris, "Just dump it over the side. It bounces down on the sidewalk and then you go around and pick it up. As long as you don't hit anybody, you're fine." Kris promised to take down the trash herself — "I'm sure you will," said Khloe — but could then be seen handing off the bag to someone standing outside her front door. "Can you run that down to the trash? Maybe there's a chute or something. Just don't lock yourself out," she told her mystery assistant.

Khloe transferred embryos to her surrogate "a couple days" before learning Tristan was having a baby with another woman

On the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians," Khloe Kardashian revealed that she and Tristan Thompson "did an embryo transfer" for their second child — the baby boy they welcomed via surrogate in July 2022 — "a couple days" before news broke confirming the professional basketball player was welcoming a son with Maralee Nichols, a woman with whom he had an affair. "We did an embryo transfer days before Thanksgiving [in 2021], and I found out about Tristan's situation the first week of December. It's just so close, I wouldn't want anyone to think I did this after the fact. Why would I want to have a baby with someone who's having a baby with somebody else? Because I'm not that much of a sociopath. I'm a lunatic, but not, like, that deranged," Khloe told little sister Kylie Jenner.

Tristan encouraged Khloe to get the ball rolling on their second child "by a certain date"

During a confessional on the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians," Khloe Kardashian alleged that Tristan Thompson "encouraged" her to start the process of welcoming their second child via surrogate "by a certain date" — before his son with Maralee Nichols arrived in late 2021. "In hindsight, he always knew when the other baby was being born," she said, adding that she later learned the basketball star found out on July 2, 2021, that Maralee was pregnant. "It was just a great thing, I thought, to expand our family — thinking it was, like, this real, healthy, loving, protective type of family," she explained.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan felt like Tristan used his second baby with Khloe to "trap" her in a relationship with him

During a family meeting about how to support Khloe Kardashian in the wake of Tristan Thompson's paternity drama on the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians," Kendall Jenner noted that the basketball star was "encouraging Khloe to go forward" with their baby plans while fully aware of the fact that he was also weeks away from welcoming a child with another woman. "It's almost like he wanted to trap her," she said. Agreed Kris Jenner, "Well, he wanted to hang on to her for sure and thought that maybe if they [welcomed a second child together], she would marry him." It's no secret that in spite of his consistent bad behavior, Tristan hoped to marry Khloe. In the spring of 2022, Maralee Nichols claimed that the basketball star once told her, "I'm engaged but I will be married soon."

Khloe teased that her son's name starts with a T

On the premiere of the second season of "The Kardashians," Khloe Kardashian revealed that her son's name "is gonna start with a T." Said the reality star, "Those are really the only names I've been looking at." Over the course of the episode, her friends and family members offered up a variety of suggestions. Kris Jenner suggested Tyler, Tucker, Tatum, Talbot, Thandy, Terrace and Travis. "We could name him Travis and just have an easy three," she joked, referencing Kourtney Kardashian's husband Travis Barker and Kylie Jenner's partner Travis Scott. Kris later threw Khloe a lion-themed baby shower — in honor of the little one's due date, which would make him a Leo — during which several more names were thrown into the mix including Ten, Tiger, Tide, King Triton, Teo and Tupac. While the group laughed off Tupac, Tide appeared to receive nearly unanimous approval. But not everyone was on board with the T-name trend. After Khloe's surrogate gave birth, the mom of two's first-born child, daughter True Thompson, called her new baby brother Snowy. When Khloe took her newborn son home from the hospital, she referred to him as "No-Name Johnson."

Khloe iced out Tristan in the wake of his paternity drama

Khloe Kardashian told pal Malika Haqq on the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians" that Tristan Thompson was "excited" about welcoming their second child together. "[He] wants this. He keeps asking me questions, and I just won't answer him," she said. Later, she told sister Kim Kardashian that she didn't want Tristan in the delivery room when their surrogate gave birth. Ultimately, Kim joined Khloe on the big day, though she ultimately allowed Tristan to visit their new son in the hospital following his birth.

Khloe worried that True would out her baby news

"I'm gonna have a baby brother!" Khloe Kardashian's daughter, True Thompson, excitedly told her mom's best friend, Malika Haqq, on the season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians." Explained the reality star, "I told her [about the baby] because Kylie [Jenner] made me tell her." Khloe added that the news is "fun" for True because her cousin Stormi Webster also has a baby brother. (Kylie and boyfriend Travis Scott welcomed a son in February 2022.) "She just, like, tells people — like when she sees [Kylie's] baby, she'll say, 'I'm gonna have a brother too!' And I'm like, 'Hah, no you're not.' Cause she'll just tell random people. That's the tough part," said Khloe.

Khloe gave birth to True early due to stress following Tristan's first cheating scandal

On the premiere of the second season of "The Kardashians," Khloe Kardashian revealed that she welcomed her first child with Tristan Thompson, daughter True Thomspon, weeks early due to stress following his first cheating scandal in 2018: "When I had True, I found out 48 hours before she was born that Tristan was cheating on me and then I went into labor weeks early because I was so stressed out," she said.

Brandy cites 'dehydration' as cause of reported seizure

Brandy is in a Los Angeles hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure at her home.

TMZ reported that paramedics got an afternoon call on Tuesday, Oct. 11, about a woman suffering a seizure at the singer's home. The website said the patient was Brandy.

The Grammy winner was taken to a local hospital, and it's believed she's still there.

"It appears she will recover," TMZ said, noting that Brandy's parents are at the hospital with her.

It's unknown what led up to the medical incident or if other factors are at play, but Brandy said on social media that she suffered from dehydration, among other things.

"To my beloved fam, friends, and starz, thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors' orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition," she wrote. "Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon."

Brandy was last seen in an official capacity in July while attending Jenifer Lewis' Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. On January 30, she performed the National Anthem at the NFC Championship Game, as well.

Bill Murray reportedly paid $100K to settle female co-worker's claim he 'straddled' and 'kissed' her on set

New details are emerging about Bill Murray's allegedly "inappropriate behavior" on the set of "Being Mortal," which was was shut down by Searchlight Pictures in April. According to Puck, the 72-year-old "Caddyshack" star paid a woman $100,000 in a settlement after she filed a report claiming he straddled her and kissed her through a mask on the set of the film. The woman was reportedly a "much younger" production assistant. She later filed a report about her claim, as did a co-worker who saw her interaction with Bill, Puck reported this week. According to the outlet, Bill dismissed his behavior as "jestful," while the woman described his actions as "entirely sexual" and said she was "horrified." The update comes amid recent claims by Geena Davis in her memoir about Bill using a massager on her on set in the 1980s, despite her protests against it. Speaking to CNBC in April, Bill addressed the claim this way, according to The Guardian: "I did something I thought was funny and it wasn't taken that way," he said. "The movie studio wanted to do the right thing so they wanted to check it all out, investigate it and so they stopped the production."

Kathie Lee Gifford defends Regis Philbin, says she won't read Kelly Ripa's memoir

athie Lee Gifford doesn't see "the point" in Kelly Ripa's decision to rehash the uglier sides of her working relationship with Regis Philbin. "I was very sorry to see the headlines," Kathie Lee said on "Good Day New York" on Monday (Oct. 10). "We see headlines all the time, you know, you never know what's true and what's not true… I went, 'I hope this isn't true. I just hope it isn't.' Cause what's the point? You know, I don't get it. … I'm not gonna read the book." In Kelly's new memoir, "Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories," the "Live!" host — who replaced Kathie Lee in 2001 following her predecessor's 15-year run on the morning show — describes a variety of ways Regis allegedly made her feel inferior or put her down during their decade on the air together. Though Kelly writes, "I loved him and still do," she says the experience of co-hosting the show with Regis was hardly a "cakewalk," citing examples like his alleged request to have her name appear smaller than his on the show's branding and the time Kelly says he referred to her as "it" when she was pregnant. Kathie Lee, meanwhile, seems to have had a very different experience. "He was 15 years the best partner I could ever, ever have professionally. But he was my friend. We were dear friends and after I left the show for the next 20 years we became better friends. Dearer friends. I saw him two weeks before he died," she said on the Fox 5 show. "We always just picked up right where we left off," Gifford recalled. "We were absolutely perfect together for television. We never had an argument, not an unkind word in 15 years. So that was my reality. … Lord, protect [Regis' widow] Joy and the girls from this," she added. "In all the years I've known him, I never saw him unkind to anybody." Kathie Lee didn't comment on Kelly, specifically, telling the "Good Day New York" host she won't "say anything ugly about anybody … I'm just saying my reality is something completely different than that."

Kaley Cuoco reveals she nearly had her leg amputated after equestrian accident

Kaley Cuoco is lucky to have both of her legs — and "The Big Bang Theory" was lucky to continue — after the star nearly lost a limb in an equestrian accident in 2010. The actress and her "Big Bang Theory" colleagues describe the terrifying incident in the new book, "The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series," (via Vanity Fair). "That was the darkest, most frightening time in all twelve years [of the show]," series creator Chuck Lorre recalls. "Kaley could have lost her leg. It was a series of miracles that allowed us to get through that and for her to come out the other end of that healthy." A longtime competitive horse jumper, Kaley fell from her horse in Los Angeles when something scared the animal at a ranch in Los Angeles. While trying to jump over the star, the horse instead came down on her left leg, leaving her severely injured. "They were talking about amputating her leg, which was devastating to hear," said Kaley's former costar (and boyfriend) Johnny Galecki. "Before I went into surgery, they made me sign something that said, 'We don't know until we get in there and see this leg, and it could come out that you don't have it anymore,'" Kaley recalls in the book. "That wasn't the case, obviously, but I had to sign something that said, 'OK, you can.' Everything ended up fine, and I was up and working a week later, but the doctors acted like I was never going to walk again. It's still too much for me to go into, and it sounded way worse than it was. And of course it was spiraling and everyone was freaking out, which I get. It scared people." Johnny agreed. "It scared people in a good way, myself included," he said. "The first day I saw [her] in that state, I just shed tears in my garage." In the end, Kaley had to be written out of just two episodes of "The Big Bang Theory." The hit show aired its series finale in 2019 after 12 years on the air.

Angela Lansbury dies at 96

After nearly eight decades on big and small screens alike, Angela Lansbury has died. She was 96. "The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday," her family said in a statement. Jessica Simpson's memoir inspires Amazon series starring John Stamos, Katelyn Tarver

Jessica Simpson's bestselling memoir, "Open Book," is headed to a small screen near you. Jess revealed the big news on Tuesday (Oct. 10), after Deadline reported Amazon Freevee ordered a pilot for a series inspired by the star's raw 2020 autobiography, which featured revelations ranging from Jessica's battle with alcohol and stimulants to the truth about her relationships with Nick Lachey and John Mayer. "'Open Book' has opened the door to all of my wildest dreams as an artist, author and entertainer," Jessica wrote in a long Instagram message. "This project holds my heart completely, infatuates my mind on every level, and deeply seduces my soul to the core. I have spoken about determined patience frequently. Not until now, in this very moment do I get to share the reward of how it feels on this side of the rainbow," she continued. The 30-minute pilot stars Katelyn Tarver as pop star Sadie Sparrow, and John Stamos as Butch, an older musician and songwriter working with Sadie. Elon Musk's response to an anti-Semitic tweet from Kanye West has exacerbated fears about how the world's richest man might run the social media platform, should his $44 billion deal go through. Elon welcomed Kanye back to Twitter over the weekend after the rapper's Instagram account was frozen because of a post that featured anti-Semitic sentiments. "Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!" Elon told Ye in response to a tweet about Mark Zuckerberg having banned him, according to Deadline. Soon after that, Ye tweeted that he was going to go "death con 3 on Jewish people," and was promptly banned on Twitter, too. That's when Elon said he jumped back in the conversation. "Talked to Ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart," the Tesla exec tweeted on Monday (Oct. 10). As The Washington Post has since pointed out, Elon's reaction seems like a good barometer for how he'll handle hate speech if and when he does buy Twitter. "Between a growing field of state laws that seek to restrict content moderation and Elon Musk's determination to loosen Twitter's policies, posts such as Ye's could soon become more prevalent online," The Post explained. Twitter users had mixed reactions to Elon's seeming support of Kanye, though a number of them suggested Elon's approach to the Kanye situation would be impossible to replicate every time. As one person put it, "Elon's content moderation plan is just him having one-on-ones with each awful person."

A pair of videos Madonna shared on social media over the weekend left the internet more than a little confused. On TikTok on Sunday (Oct. 9), the Queen of Pop, 64, appeared to come out as gay in a post she captioned, "If I miss, I'm gay!" The video showed her holding up a pair of pink undies before she throws it at a trash can and misses. "Did I just witness Madonna coming out, good for her," one commenter wrote. Other users couldn't seem to decide whether the singer "has been an out bisexual for literally decades," as one person put it, or if she was sharing what another deemed a "historic moment," since she's only publicly dated men. (Madonna was photographed kissing rapper Tokischa at New York Fashion Week, but it's unclear if they're an item.) Meanwhile, over on the pop star's Instagram, a selfie video she simply captioned with three heart emojis inspired some less-than-kind reactions. The video shows Madonna with bleached eyebrows, pink hair, very full lips and extremely smooth skin, though it's not clear if she was using filters. While some fans noted her youthful looks, others declared she now looks more like Marilyn Manson than Madonna. "She doesn't even look like Madonna anymore," one user wrote. "Sad. I thought she'd age gracefully and show women they don't need to change themselves." So far, the buzz hasn't hurt in either direction — Madonna soared to the No. 1 slot on Google's search topics on Monday, according to NBC News.

Selena Gomez invites the world inside her battles with anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, as well as lupus, in her candid new documentary, "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me," out Nov. 4 on Apple TV+. The singer and actor, 30, released a trailer for the film in honor of World Mental Heath Day on Monday (Oct. 10), sharing the two-minute teaser on Instagram alongside a caption that read, "Every breath, a breakthrough." Directed by Alek Keshishian, who made Madonna's acclaimed 1991 doc, "Truth or Dare," "My Mind & Me" is the product of six years of footage covering some of Selena's most challenging personal struggles since her mid-20s. "Just be who you are, Selena," she says in a voiceover. "No one cares what you're doing. It's about who I am. Being OK with where I am. I am grateful to be alive." Speaking over a montage of footage, Selena later promises herself, "I am going to stop living like this," then asks, "How do I learn how to breathe my own breath again?" Selena, who revealed her lupus diagnosis in 2015, has spoken openly in the years since then about how the disease has impacted both her mental and physical health. "My whole life since I was a kid I've been working. Scarlett Johansson thought her career was over after she was 'pigeonholed' and 'hypersexualized'

There was a period in Scarlett Johansson's career where she worried she was finished after being typecast into into "hypersexualized" roles. Speaking to Dax Shepard on his latest "Armchair Expert" podcast, Scarlett, 37, reflects on her evolution as an actor since 1994, when she she starred in "North" at just 9 years old. She continued working in the years that followed, but her breakthrough performance came with 2003's "Lost in Translation," where the then-17-year-old star played a woman in her 20s. "I kind of became objectified and pigeonholed in this way where I felt like I wasn't getting offers for work for things that I wanted to do," she recalled, according to ET. "I remember thinking to myself, 'I think people think I'm 40 years old.' It somehow stopped being something that was desirable and something that I was fighting against." Looking back, she said the realization frightened her. "Because I think everybody thought I was older and that I'd been [acting] for a long time, I got kind of pigeonholed into this weird hypersexualized thing. I felt like [my career] was over," she explained. "It was like, 'That's the kind of career you have, these are the roles you've played.' And I was like, 'This is it?' The runway is not long on that," she continued. "So it was scary at that time." Today, Scarlett's happy some progress has been made when it comes to how women in Hollywood get stereotyped and typecast as love interests and objects of desire. "Now, I see younger actors that are in their 20s. It feels like they're allowed to be all these different things," she explained. "It's another time, too. We're not even allowed to really pigeonhole other actors anymore, thankfully, right? People are much more dynamic."

Harvey Weinstein sex crimes trial gets underway in Los Angeles this week

Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes trial was slated to begin in Los Angeles with jury selection on Monday (Oct. 10), as the former producer faces charges that could put him behind bars for life. Harvey — who was extradited from New York, where he's serving a 23-year prison sentence after being convicted of rape and other sex crimes — is accused of sexually assaulting five women in separate incidents between 2004 and 2013, according to a local ABC News affiliate . Although the women will be identified as Jane Does, California Gov. Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom is among the accusers and plans to testify. ABC reports the other women involved also intend to testify. Harvey, 70, has pleaded not guilty. "Like many other women, my client was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein at a purported business meeting that turned out to be a trap," Jennifer's attorney, Bel Fegan, said in a statement, according to ABC. "She intends to testify at his trial in order to seek some measure of justice for survivors, and as part of her life's work to improve the lives of women. Please respect her choice to not discuss this matter outside of the courtroom."

Eva Mendes shuts down claims she 'quit acting'

Eva Mendes has not retired from Hollywood, as she reminded Instagram followers on Friday (Oct. 7). Sharing a clip of multiple old headlines that claim she "quit" or disappeared from making movies, Eva wrote in the caption, "I never quit acting." The mother of two went on to explain that she shifted her focus when she "wanted to be home with my babies and fortunately my other business ventures allowed me to do that more than acting would." Adding that she was also "not excited about the stereotypical roles" she was being offered when she was making movies regularly, the star noted that her offers were "especially" less appealing "after working on the film LOST RIVER," alongside her partner, Ryan Gosling. A few days later, she told People magazine that she met her beau — who works as a philanthropic strategist for California State University — at a bar in Los Angeles. "He's in that same space of wanting to be of service. And I think that's one of the things we get along on, though he did introduce himself first as a poet," she said of their connection.

On Oct. 3, Vanity Fair excerpted a portion of the new oral history of "The Big Bang Theory" — "The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story" — in which former co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, who dated from 2008 to 2010, open up about their off-screen romance. "I had a very big crush on Johnny early on. I was so not even hiding it. He has such swagger. We were both dating people at the time, but I only had eyes for Johnny. Then, when I found out he had eyes for me too, I was like, 'Uh‑oh, this is going to be trouble,'" said Kaley, adding that "there was chemistry" between them and "it was obvious there was always something there." (Johnny, meanwhile, noted that he had "zero idea" Kaley had a crush on him off the bat.) The pair shared their first on-screen smooch before they took their real-life relationship to the next level late in the first season. Things took a turn, they said, when they shot a PDA-packed scene in an elevator shaft. "I think we fell a little in love in that elevator shaft," recalled Kaley before describing the scene as particularly torturous to shoot. Explained Johnny, "[We] knew that something mutual was felt, and that it was going to be more of a distraction from the work to try and continue to ignore it than to actually recognize it and surrender to it." Once Kaley was back on the market, she and Johnny started spending more time together off set: A few hours after she broke up with her boyfriend at the time, she joined Johnny and their co-stars for a cast getaway at a ranch in Montecito, California, where she made a move on Johnny by asking him to kill a bug in her luxury cabin. He declined because she was "literally jilted from a relationship four hours earlier," he explained. ("I couldn't believe he turned me down. I still think he turned me down because he knew what I was doing," she said.) Not long after that, Johnny invited Kaley to join him at a bar for a glass of wine. She was there within 20 minutes even though she was 45 minutes way when he texted — "She just hauled a** [to get] there," Johnny joked. "That's really pathetic that I just didn't even make him wait for like ten minutes," said Kaley. They ended up making out and then going back to her place, where she showered and sat on his lap "wearing nothing but a towel," recalled Johnny. "I was like, 'Okay, I guess we're dating!'" But they worked hard to keep their real-life romance under wraps, which is part of the reason why it ultimately fizzled…

In Vanity Fair's excerpt of "The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story," Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki revealed that they were in disagreement over whether or not to go public with their romance. "Johnny can get really in his head and want to hide, whereas I'm the direct opposite. I would have told everybody the next day at the table read. I would have announced it and said, 'We're together!' But he was like, 'We can't tell anyone!' So we kept it quiet," Kaley recalled, noting that "it was easier to keep it hidden" because social media wasn't as prevalent at the time. "When we were dating, Johnny was very worried about ruining the fans' outlook on [our characters] Leonard and Penny, because they weren't even dating yet at that point in the series. He was so cerebral, and I'm like, 'What?! Who f****** cares?!' … I was just so crazy about him, I wasn't thinking that way." Ultimately, their differences drove them apart. "I think one of the things that created a chasm between us was my strict policies of privacy, and Kaley being very, very open about her life. I was very uncomfortable with being public about it, and I think that hurt Kaley's feelings a little bit, and I can understand that. It certainly wasn't because I was embarrassed of her or our relationship, but I wanted to be protective of the audience's acceptance of Penny and Leonard, and without distraction from the tabloids. … At a certain point it felt like we were living this lie because we were going to award shows and functions and pretending like we're not a couple, when in fact we were a very loving couple," Johnny said, adding that they also "had very different interests" and wanted to experience life differently. In September 2010, Kaley came clean about the relationship during an interview with CBS's Watch magazine. She and Johnny were working on their friendship at the point — even as they struggled to shoot their on-screen alter egos' breakup and eventual reconciliation. "I adore the friends that we are. I think I might value my relationship with her more than any other previous relationship or relationship afterwards. … We just have such a bond that I appreciate so much. And I think that's part of our great friendship," Johnny said. Added Kaley, "We really adored each other, and we were lucky because as our breakup was happening, there was no foul play, there was nothing bad about our relationship… it just ended. Yes, there was some hurt there for a bit, but it didn't take us that long to go back to what we were before we were dating and be friends. He was front row at both of my weddings, and we've been so supportive of each other ever since. We adore each other."

On Sept. 29, the Bravo Housewives Instagram account shared unfounded rumors that Heather Dubrow has been "skipping out" on shooting season 17 of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" because "cheating allegations" centered around her husband of more than two decades, Dr. Terry Dubrow, have been "circulating" online. According to the rumor, which originated on Deux Moi, an unnamed star of "RHOC" hasn't been seen shooting with her co-stars "for weeks," and "word on the street" is that "her husband's affairs surfaced" and she's concerned the other women will "air it all out" on camera. Heather caught wind of the allegations and commented on Bravo Housewives' post, "This is not true, on any level." On Oct. 3, People magazine shed some light on how Brad Pitt connected with his rumored new love interest, Emily Ratajkowski: "He was introduced to Emily by a friend in the art world. There is an attraction, but nothing serious going on. She is obviously gorgeous and very into art as well. They have a lot to talk about and always have a great time when they hang out. They stay in touch when they don't see each other," said a source. A second People source noted that the model is "bright [and] articulate" and "has the vibes that Brad likes," while a third insider said that the A-list actor is helping the brunette beauty move on from her "unexpected and devastating" split from Sebastian Bear-McClard — which has been "very rough for her." On Oct. 4, Page Six broke the news that, according to multiple sources, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady have hired divorce lawyers amid ongoing issues in their marriage related to the star quarterback's decision to un-retire from the NFL. "I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it is. I don't think there will be any coming back now. They both have lawyers and are looking at what a split will entail, who gets what and what the finances will be," said one source, clarifying that Tom and Gisele's issues are not about "just one thing." A People magazine source, meanwhile, said that while the supermodel has hired a divorce lawyer, her estranged husband is "trying to figure out what to do" while looking for representation himself. A second People source alleged that "this is not something that just happened today." Explained the second insider, "Gisele has been talking to a divorce lawyer for awhile but to my knowledge has not filed anything and is still talking to Tom about their issues." The source also pointed out that it's not a guarantee Gisele will ever officially file for divorce.

On Sept. 28, Dua Lipa and Trevor Noah stepped out in New York City for an intimate dinner date during which the comedian was snapped pecking the Grammy winner on the cheek. "It was clear they were into each other and sat close together throughout the meal. They left together and walked, stopping for long embraces and on the second kiss with hugs," a spy told DailyMail.com, which published exclusive photos of the duo's headline-making night out on the town. A source later told HollywoodLife of the rumored new couple, "Things are very new for Dua and Trevor, but she's enjoying spending time with him. Dua has told friends that she had an amazing time hanging out with him and she thinks Trevor is very sweet. She definitely sees potential and thinks they have great chemistry with each other. … They are not in a committed relationship and things are not serious between them at this point. According to Us Weekly, former "Sister, Sister" star Tia Mowry filed to divorce Cory Hardrict in Los Angeles on Oct. 4 following 14 years of marriage. She reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, indicated that neither she nor the "American Sniper" actor should pay spousal support to the other and asked for joint legal and physical custody of their two children. Tia later confirmed the breakup news on Instagram, captioning a photo of herself and Cory, "I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. Marvel and DC writer-director James Gunn — who's helmed the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movies and "The Suicide Squad," plus the "Peacemaker" TV series — and actress Jennifer Holland took to Instagram on Sept. 30 to announce that they recently tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony officiated by the groom's brother, "GOTG" actor Sean Gunn, at Kevin Costner's Dunbar Ranch in Aspen, Colorado. "After over 7 years together, I finally married the love of my life, @jenniferlholland. What an incredible, beautiful, stunning day surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world," James captioned a slideshow of wedding photos. The bride, meanwhile, captioned her own slideshow of wedding photos, "James! Thank you for sharing your love, life and family with me. On Oct. 4, photographer Elaine Siemek took to her Instagram Story to shoot down rumors that she was caught on camera cheating on her boyfriend, "Outer Banks" star Rudy Pankow, in early September. "Y'all stupid as hell for thinking that's me," she wrote, adding that on the day she was allegedly seen kissing another man, she and the actor were actually "flying from Barbados to Italy." According to People magazine, which published exclusive wedding photos, Trace Bates and Lydia Romeike tied the knot at the Hill Barn in Jefferson City, Tennessee, on Oct. 1. "Today our lives changed forever! We move from being best friends to being husband and wife — so surreal! There are no words to describe how excited we are! We have waited for this day for so long," they said in a joint statement. The duo got engaged in April.

"Teen Mom OG" star Cheyenne Floyd married Zach Davis on Sept. 29, they announced on Instagram, captioning a slideshow of wedding photos, "Mr. & Mrs. Davis." They got engaged in April 2021 following several years of off and on coupledom and welcomed a son in May 2021.

It's official: On Oct. 4, E! News reported that Iyanna McNeely filed to divorce "Love is Blind" season 2 co-star Jarrette Jones in Chicago on Sept. 23. She reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. "As most know by now, Iyanna and I have decided to go our separate ways. In doing so, we're still moving forward with the decision to file for divorce. I'll continue to wish Iyanna nothing but happiness and success with every future endeavor. I'm thankful for the continued support from everyone and hope for understanding during this difficult time," Jarrette said in a statement to People magazine after his estranged wife filed to legally end their marriage. Tragic story

The daughter of late TV star Michael Landon is still trying to find answers regarding the August death of her 24-year-old son, Dylan Lupia, who was struck by a Los Angeles city bus and was "left to die on the side of the road," she told DailyMail.com in a story published Oct. 4. Shawna Landon, one of the "Little House on the Prairie" star's nine children, alleged that the bus driver didn't stop after hitting her son. "I just want answers. It's all I think about. How can you not know you just hit a human being? This man didn't even stop to see what happened, nor did he call 911. My son was left to die on the side of the road," Shawna said. "There are still so many unanswered questions, and as a mother I will do everything in my power to get answers." It's believed that Dylan, Michael's grandson, was walking on a bike trail in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, when the bus hit him. Shawna added, "Dylan's wallet was found on him and it still contained his ID, money and his credit card. However, his car keys and cell phone were missing."

The court has spoken

Chalk it up as a loss for Scientology. On Oct. 3, the United States Supreme Court shut down the Church of Scientology's request to keep a Danny Masterson lawsuit out of the public eye. Back in 2019, four women and one of their husbands filed a civil lawsuit against the controversial church, claiming they were being harassed, stalked and surveilled after accusing the "That '70s Show" star — a prominent Scientologist — of sexual assault. Scientology argued that the lawsuit should be handled by the church's private arbitration, citing the fact that the accusers — all former members — signed contracts barring them from suing the church. The church won its initial case but a California appeals court overturned the ruling earlier this year, claiming the accusers no longer live under Scientology rule because they aren't practicing members anymore. On Oct. 3, the SCOTUS said it would not take up the case, which let the appellate court's decision stand.

Legend lost

Loretta Lynn, the groundbreaking singer commonly referred to as the First Lady of Country Music, passed away at 90 this week. Over the course of Loretta's six-decade career, the "Coal Miner's Daughter" singer notched 24 No. 1 songs and and 11 No. 1 albums. "Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, Oct. 4, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills [Tennessee]," her family said in a statement. Dolly Parton called Loretta a "wonderful human being, wonderful talent." Kid Rock called Loretta a "beautiful soul." Carrie Underwood tweeted, "She was a cantankerous little pistol…friendly and sweet…never afraid to be herself and speak her mind."

"The Bachelor" ball

The record is better than the rose. Cory Youmans — the husband of a former "The Bachelor" contestant — is the lucky fan who caught Aaron Judge's record-breaking 62nd home run ball in Texas on Oct. 4, and he's already turning down seven-figure offers for the historic memorabilia. The millionaire vice president of Fisher Investments' wife, Bachelor Nation alum Bri Amaranthus — who appeared on Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s "The Bachelor" season in 2018 — posted a photo of the record-breaking baseball on Instagram. "That's my man @thejudge44 #62," she captioned the photo. On Twitter, she shared a video of Cory holding the ball while being escorted by stadium security. "THIS IS MY HUSBAND," she wrote alongside the clip. Front Row Sports reported that Cory has already turned down a $2 million offer for the ball. With the homer, Aaron set the single-season American League home run record, having passed Roger Maris's previous home run total of 61, which stood for 61 years.

"Miracle" pregnancy

Two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank, 48, is pregnant. The actress announced the news on "Good Morning America" on Oct. 5. "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time," she said, adding that she and her husband of four years, social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, are expecting twins: "I can't believe it." Later the same morning, she appeared on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" where she said she was "feeling good" in her second trimester and called her pregnancy "such a blessing. It's a total miracle. It's unbelievable."

"Rust" settlement

The husband of Halyna Hutchins — the cinematographer who was fatally shot on the set of "Rust" in October 2021 while star Alec Baldwin was rehearsing a scene — has settled a wrongful death lawsuit with Alec Baldwin and producers of the indie Western. As part of the settlement, Matthew Hutchins signed on to be an executive producer on the project, which will complete filming in 2023. "All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident," an Oct. 4 statement said. Terms of the settlement aren't known. While the lawsuit pertaining to Halyna's death is over, the same can't be said of the criminal investigation. TMZ reported that the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office in New Mexico is still investigating the shooting and will forward its findings to the District Attorney, who will then decide if anyone will be prosecuted.

Feud week

Khloe Kardashian. Gigi Hadid. Hailey and Justin Bieber. Jared Kushner. Those are just a few of the celebrities Kanye West feuded with this week. On Oct. 4, Ye brought up the January birthday party of his daughter Chicago, which still rankles him. In a new Instagram post, Ye said he wasn't invited (but he was in attendance) and accused ex-wife Kim Kardashian of "kidnapping" the tot. Her sister Khloe Kardashian publicly fired back at Ye for bringing up the "birthday narrative … again," adding, "Enough already. We all know the truth and in my opinion, everyone's tired of it." In an unrelated story, Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson called Ye "irresponsible" for wearing a T-shirt at his Paris fashion show on Oct. 3 that said "White Lives Matter." Ye then shot back at the journalist, prompting the Biebers and Gigi to defend Gabriella. "You wish u had a percentage of her intellect," Gigi commented to Ye. "You have no idea haha…. If there's actually a point to any of your s***. She might be the only person that could save u. As if the 'honor' of being invited to your show should keep someone from giving their opinion? Lol. You're a bully and a joke."

Triple-bypass surgery

Teller — one-half of the legendary magic-comedy duo Penn & Teller — just underwent open-heart surgery, his team confirmed this week. It's unknown what led Teller, 74, to undergo the triple-bypass. However, the duo has since postponed a series of shows while the star recovers. "Teller underwent bypass surgery on [Sept. 29] here in Las Vegas and is resting and recovering well," the duo's manager told the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Oct. 3. "Under doctor's orders, he will be off stage over the next several weeks with an eye towards returning to performances in late November or early December."

Dwayne Johnson reveals why a presidential run isn't likely

Dwayne Johnson is choosing children over country.

The "Black Adam" actor has long been thought of as a potential (and popular) Presidential candidate, but he said a run for the country's top office is "off the table" for now.

"It'd be my honor to serve you, the people," he told CBS Sunday Morning. "I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy."

The Rock has three daughters — Simone Johnson, 21, Jasmine Johnson, 6, and Tiana Johnson, 4.

"That's the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, number one," he added, "especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters' lives."

Reflecting on his professional wrestling days in which he traveled the country for weeks on end, he said he learned his lesson in regard to being away from Simone. Campaigning for POTUS — or being the commander-in-chief — would often keep him busy… too busy to be an effective father.

"I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years when my first daughter's growing up in these critical age and this critical time in her life and that's what the presidency will do," he said.

The "Jungle Cruise" star spoke more about his decision on Instagram, too.

"With midterms here and a presidential election 2 years away, I've been approached by the most influential in politics on both sides of the aisle asking and supporting that I run for President," he said. "It's a humbling, grateful and inspiring feeling to even have these conversations, as I'm not a politician nor have I ever aspired to be one."

Saying he's a "patriot to my core," he insisted that fatherhood is the top priority.

"To raise 'em and always be there, during these critical years in their life," he said. "I know what it's like to not be there all the time as a father, because of an unrelenting work schedule. I won't let that happen ever again. Choosing parenting over presidency."

A Newsweek poll from last year indicated that 46% of Americans would support The Rock for POTUS, which is more support than either potential 2024 candidates Joe Biden or Donald Trump.

It also became a pop culture phenomenon that spawned a TV series, books, dolls, accessories and an entire new language that became quintessential '90s slang. The mostly unknown ensemble cast also turned into some of the hottest young stars of the decade. To celebrate Cher Horowitz star Alicia Silverstone's 46th birthday on Oct. 4, 2022, Wonderwall.com is taking a look at what its stars are up to now…

Alicia Silverstone led the "Clueless" crew as Cher Horowitz, Beverly Hills' resident teen matchmaker, a girl with the power to sweetly manipulate teachers into giving her better grades, turn any student into the most popular girl in school and seemingly develop a computer program to always have the best fashion ensemble.

"Clueless" made Alicia Silverstone a household name. Following the comedy's massive success, the star — who skipped signing on for the TV adaptation — struggled to garner another major hit, taking roles in flops like 1995's "The Babysitter," 1997's "Excess Baggage" and 1999's "Blast from the Past." She also notably starred as Batgirl in the critically reviled "Batman & Robin" in 1997. "Clueless" was a breakout moment for Stacey Dash, who was 28 but playing 16 at the time of filming. The New York City-born actress reprised her role as Dionne on all three seasons of the film's TV adaptation. She then got parts in 2003's "View from the Top" and television shows like "Eve," "CSI," "The Game" and "Single Ladies." Stacey generated buzz for her work in Kanye West's "All Falls Down" music video in 2004 and a nude Playboy pictorial in 2006. Since then, the star has made more news for her politics than her acting. Stacey joined Fox News as a conservative commentator in 2014 and came under fire for numerous comments she made as an outspoken Republican. Fox News ended their contract with Stacey in 2017 and she soon attempted a California congressional run in 2018 though withdrew from the race a month after announcing her candidacy. Brittany Murphy became one of the biggest breakout stars of "Clueless." She followed it with roles in 1996's "Freeway" and 1999's "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Girl, Interrupted." Brittany also secured a lead voice role on the animated hit series "King of the Hill" for 13 seasons beginning in 1997. The Atlanta-born star made her Broadway debut alongside Allison Janney in a 1997 production of "A View from the Bridge." Brittany became a box office force in the 2000s with her work in 2001's "Don't Say a Word," 2002's "8 Mile," 2003's "Uptown Girls" and "Just Married," and 2005's "Sin City." Breckin has also written and voiced characters for the Adult Swim hit "Robot Chicken" since the show's debut in 2005, garnering himself an Emmy nomination. He was more recently seen on the NBC drama "Good Girls" in 2021. Breckin was married to film director Deborah Kaplan, with whom he has two kids, from 2001 to 2014. He's been dating actress Linsey Godfrey since 2017.

Justin Walker portrayed Christian, the new heartthrob on campus. Cher is determined to make him fall for her, and after having her assortment of romantic advances dismissed, discovers Christian is actually gay.

Justin Walker followed the hit teen comedy "Clueless" with films like 1997's "The Journey: Absolution" and 1999's "Splendor Falls" and an appearance on the series "V.I.P." in 1999. He co-hosted the talk show "The X Show" in 1999 and amassed only a handful of credits before leaving acting in the mid-2000s. Justin moved into the world of business, owning a restaurant in Rancho Mirage, California, and becoming a partner and CMO of Draftster.com, a defunct fantasy sports-wagering website. He hasn't made many appearances since leaving acting. Dan Hedaya played Cher's strict-but-loving father, Mel, a well-paid litigator who wants nothing but the best for his daughter. Mel trains her on the art of negotiation but struggles to tell the difference between a Calvin Klein dress and underwear.

Post-"Clueless," established character actor Dan Hedaya appeared in movies including 1996's 'The First Wives Club," 1997's "Alien Resurrection," 1998's "A Night at the Roxbury," 2000's "Shaft" and 2001's "Mulholland Drive." The Brooklyn native also had small roles on "ER," "Law & Order," "Judging Amy," "Yes, Dear" and "Person of Interest." Dan has slowed down his acting career in recent years but was seen in 2016's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and has popped up on TV shows like "Gotham," "The Mindy Project" and "Blue Bloods."

The lovable Mr. Hall was played by Wallace Shawn. As Cher's debate teacher, Mr. Hall is a stickler for excellence, and Cher's determined to find him love in the hope that happiness will make him go easier on his students.

A few months after "Clueless" came out, Wallace Shawn voiced Rex in "Toy Story" then returned to the role for all three sequels. He also returned as Mr. Hall on the first season of the "Clueless" TV series. Since then, Wallace has lent his voice to projects like "The Incredibles" and "Chicken Little" and had major arcs on TV shows like "Gossip Girl" and "Crossing Jordan." More recently, he was seen in hits like "Book Club" in 2018 and "Marriage Story" in 2019. He now stars on the hit CBS comedy "Young Sheldon." Wallace's longtime partner is writer Deborah Eisenberg.

Twink Caplan portrays the intelligent and good-natured Ms. Geist, another of Cher's teachers-turned-pet projects who she's determined to set up with Mr. Hall in hopes of finding happiness for the pair.

Twink Caplan reprised her role as Ms. Geist on the "Clueless" TV series and executive produced the show. She's since appeared on TV shows like "Just Shoot Me," "Community," "CSI" and "Frasier" and popped alongside Darren Criss on the 2020 Quibi musical comedy series "Royalties."

Get ready to feel old. "She's All That" star Rachael Leigh Cook's 43rd birthday is on Oct. 4, 2022, so to celebrate, Wonderwall.com is running down our all-time favorite high school rom-coms! The iconic 1999 teen movie "She's All That" starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr. had it all: a beautiful dorky girl, a sensitive popular guy, a stupid bet, prom and all the drama in between. Audiences loved it so much, it reached No. 1 at the box office in its first week of release. Given just how iconic it was, it's no surprise that a gender-swapped remake debuted in 2021.

A reimagining of a classic fairytale set in the early aughts? Umm… count us in! 2004's "A Cinderella Story" stars Hilary Duff as Sam Montgomery, a teenage outcast who, under the screen name PrincetonGirl818, has a secret AIM-based relationship with a fellow teen who goes by Nomad. As their relationship deepens, they decide to meet in person at the Halloween Ball — where Sam realizes that her mystery man is none other than Austin Ames (Chad Michael Murray), the most popular guy in school. Throughout the course of the flick, we see Sam struggle with whether or not to reveal her true identity to Austin. Just as she decides to put her heart on the line, we come to realize that her evil stepsisters have a plan of their own in the works.

Teen rom-coms might have briefly fallen out of style, but they're back and better than ever — as proven by "To All the Boys I've Loved Before." The movie based on the book of the same name immediately became a must-see hit when it dropped on Netflix in 2018 thanks to its witty dialogue, refreshing casting and charming plot. Lana Condor stars as Lara Jean Covey, a high school junior who's written love letters to all her crushes instead of telling them how she felt. When the letters are stolen and mailed out, Lara starts to pretend-date popular classmate Peter Kavinsky, played by Noah Centineo, as a distraction. Of course, their fake romance soon becomes the real thing. Can't get enough? It's spawned two sequels.

What happens when you've freshly graduated from high school but you've yet to profess your love to the girl of your dreams? 1999's "Can't Hardly Wait" explores this dilemma. Ethan Embry stars as Preston Meyers, an unpopular nice kid who hopes to tell his longtime love, Amanda Beckett (Jennifer Love Hewitt), how he feels before he leaves for a writing fellowship in Boston. As luck would have it, though, Preston and Amanda keep missing each other — despite both being at the same party!

Hilary Duff wasn't the only teen queen of the early aughts! In 2003's "Freaky Friday" — which is a reimagining of the 1976 film of the same name — Lindsay Lohan shines as rebellious teen rocker Anna Coleman, who wakes up one day in mom Tess Coleman's (Jamie Lee Curtis) body. The stakes are high for the Coleman women — not only does Anna have a pivotal audition coming up, but Tess is one day away from her wedding! Amidst their constant bickering and efforts to reverse the spell, Anna must also grapple with her growing crush on misunderstood heartthrob, Jake (Chad Michael Murray), while in her mother's body.

Our hearts melted when Heath Ledger serenaded Julia Stiles on the soccer field in "10 Things I Hate About You." The 1999 flick is the perfect high school romance movie with its witty one-liners, heartfelt poems, fantastic source material (Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew") and all-star cast (Heath, Julia, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gabrielle Union). In fact, "10 Things I Hate About You" was so great that it opened at No. 2 at the box office during its first weekend right behind "The Matrix."

What better way to exact revenge on a serial cheater than by making him genuinely fall for a girl… before you rip them apart? 2006's "John Tucker Must Die" — which stars Jesse Metcalfe as the playboy in question — explores this unideal scenario. When three popular girls from disparate cliques (Sophia Bush, Arielle Kebbel, Ashanti) come to realize their supposedly doting boyfriend is actually dating all three of them, they recruit new girl Kate (Brittany Snow) to help them break his heart. By posing as the girl of his dreams, Kate gets John to begin to fall in love with her — but despite initially being on board with the plan, Kate begins to grow a conscience.

A high school rom-com list without "Clueless"? As if! "Clueless" truly defined a generation. We lived for the sweet romance between Cher, played by the perfect Alicia Silverstone, and her ex-stepbrother Josh, played by an adorable Paul Rudd. Add the amazing wardrobes, fabulous teen life and iconic '90s language and "Clueless" is the perfect teen film.

We might have come to know and love Shane West for his brooding portrayal of bad boy-turned-good guy Landon Carter in "A Walk to Remember," but two years earlier, he took on a much more lighthearted role! 2000's "Whatever It Takes" — a modern retelling of Edmond Rostand's "Cyrano de Bergerac" — stars Shane as geeky teen Ryan Woodman and James Franco as dimwitted jock Chris Campbell. Recognizing that they occupy two disparate social circles, the boys agree to help each other win the affections of their crushes — Ryan's into ultra popular Ashley Grant (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) while Chris has the hots for endearingly bookish Maggie Carter (Marla Sokoloff). Their plan, however, begins to go awry when they realize they might be in pursuit of the wrong girls.

You're a part-time lover and a full-time friend! 2007's "Juno" is a heartwarming coming-of-age flick about a teenager who must decide what to do after finding out she's pregnant. Elliot Page stars as Juno MacGuff, who, despite initially contemplating getting an abortion, ultimately agrees to a closed adoption with a seemingly happy couple (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman). In addition to feeling the pressure of having to care for another life, Juno also comes to realize her own growing feelings for Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera), her boyfriend and the father of her baby.

Oh, the aughts — a truly magical time for the good ol' high school romantic comedy! Based loosely on William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," 2001's "Get Over It" stars Ben Foster as Berke Landers, a heartbroken high school student who wants nothing more than to win back his ex-girlfriend (Melissa Sagemiller). Thanks to the help of Kelly Woods (Kirsten Dunst), his best friend's younger sister, Berke joins the school musical in an effort to be closer to his ex. What Berke doesn't account for, however, is that the increased time he's been spending with Kelly makes him see her in a new light.

Aw, "Sixteen Candles" — what many (including us) would consider to be the quintessential teen romance film. After a run of bad luck, nerdy sophomore Samantha, played by '80s teen queen Molly Ringwald, ultimately gets the perfect 16th birthday gift when she shares a kiss over a cake with her senior knight in shining armor, played by Michael Schoeffling. The 1984 movie, directed by John Hughes and co-starring Anthony Michael Hall, is a must-see for any rom-com fan.

Quincy McCall and Monica Wright might end up married by the end of "Love and Basketball," but their romance started years before while they were in high school. The 2000 movie about high school sweethearts has it all: the signature prom scene, funny '90s lingo and a "first time" moment that may be the sweetest in Hollywood. Starring a young Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps, "Love & Basketball' is not to be missed.

Amanda Bynes is charismatic in this romantic comedy inspired by William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." 2006's "She's the Man" — which also stars Channing Tatum, Laura Ramsey and Alex Breckenridge — follows teenager Viola Hastings, who devises a plan to pose as her twin brother, Sebastian (who's off pursuing a music career in London), after the all-girls soccer team at her high school gets cut. Viola strikes a deal with her roommate, Duke Orsino: If he helps her make the boys team, she'll help him get the girl he's long been crushing on. Of course, things go awry when Viola begins to develop feelings for Duke herself!

A high school romantic comedy that's equally, if not more focused on the experiences of the parents than the teenagers? That's a film we'd love to see! 2018's "Blockers" stars Leslie Mann, John Cena and Ike Barinholtz as Lisa, Mitchell and Hunter, three parents who, after finding out their daughters — who are best friends — made a pact to lose their virginity on prom night, make it their mission to intercept it. But as the night progresses, Lisa, Mitchell and Hunter come to question the intentions behind their mission.

We love "Love, Simon" for taking the teen rom-com story and reviving it in the best way possible. The heartfelt films centers on a cute, popular guy (played by Nick Robinson) who comes to terms with his sexuality and finds love with a fellow male classmate. "Love, Simon" — the first film by a major Hollywood studio to focus on a gay teenage romance — grossed $66 million worldwide. It's funny, sweet and wonderfully acted — all the ingredients for a flawless rom-com.

The 1978 high school-set musical "Grease" is legendary for its fabulous songs, perfect choreography and iconic love story. The movie follows T-Bird Danny Zuko, played by a young and super-attractive John Travolta, and Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson, played by a gorgeous Olivia Newton-John, as they navigate love and friendship. "Grease" might be more than 40 years old, but it's just as amazing today as it was back then. Fun fact: The "Grease" soundtrack was the second bestselling album of the year in 1978.

An early aughts movie starring Christina Milian? We should consider ourselves blessed. 2003's "Love Don't Cost A Thing" revolves around Alvin Johnson (Nick Cannon), a geeky and gifted high school student with a vast knowledge of engineering who strikes up a deal with popular girl Paris Morgan (Christina): He'll fix her mom's damaged car so long as they date for two weeks. After Paris agrees, Alvin is quickly thrust to the top of the social ladder, but he soon realizes that maintaining that status may come at a cost.

Each "High School Musical" movie is perfection in its own right, but there's something particularly captivating about the second installment. "High School Musical 2," which debuted in 2007, sees the gang working at a New Mexico country club for the duration of summer. However, while the experience was meant to bring them all closer, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) becomes wrapped up in the superficiality of it all — from hanging around Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) to neglecting his friends in an effort to network with basketball bigwigs. A particular relationship that suffers as a result? Troy's romance with Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), who doesn't like the person he's become.

"Never Been Kissed" is a unique high school rom-com considering neither of its main characters are actually students. In the 1999 flick, 25-year-old reporter Josie, played by the lovable Drew Barrymore, returns to high school as an undercover student for a story. There, she meets and falls for her teacher, who's played by Michael Vartan. "Never Been Kissed" has an all-star cast (Drew, Michael, Molly Shannon, John C. Reilly, James Franco, Jessica Alba) and a super-cute story, all contributing to its $84 million in earnings.

In addition to spawning several noteworthy quotes and catchphrases, 2004's "Mean Girls" gave us an adorable teen romance. The film that started it all! 1999's "American Pie" stars Jason Biggs, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Chris Klein as a group of friends who make a pact to lose their virginity before graduating high school. While there's no shortage of raunchy scenes in the coming-of-age sex comedy, it's surprisingly filled with a ton of heart. (Jim and Michelle forever.)

We loved the sweet romance between cheerleader Megan Bloomfield (played by Natasha Lyonne) and her fellow conversion therapy attendee Graham Eaton (played by Clea DuVall) in 2000's "But I'm a Cheerleader." The teen satire follows Megan after her family sends her away to "cure" her lesbianism. There, she finds love with the charismatic Graham. "But I'm a Cheerleader" is unique, hilarious and endearing, all qualities that make it one of the best.

Sure, we all love Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan, but Princess Mia Thermopolis is our hands-down favorite royal. In 2001's "The Princess Diaries," American high school student Mia not only finds out she's actually a European royal but finds love with her best friend's brother, fellow classmate Michael Moscovitz. The Disney teen movie, which grossed over $165 million, starred future A-listers Anne Hathaway and Mandy Moore and the legendary Julie Andrews. 10/10!

Who didn't have a crush on Michael Cera back in the day?! In 2008, the Canadian cutie starred in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" alongside Kat Dennings. The romantic comedy, which is based on Rachel Cohn's novel of the same name, revolves around Nick, a heartbroken bass player who can't stop thinking about his ex-girlfriend, and Norah, the daughter of a respected record producer who's equally as passionate as Nick about music. One fateful night, Nick and Norah find themselves traversing around the city together looking for Norah's drunk friend (Ari Graynor). Of course, sparks begin to fly between the two unsuspecting teens.

Get the tissues ready! "A Walk to Remember" might be the sweetest, saddest teen romance movie we've ever seen. The 2002 film follows Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan as they fall in love and confront her battle with leukemia. We nearly ran out of tissues watching Landon kiss Jamie after her breathtaking performance in the high school play. Starring Mandy Moore in her breakout role and Shane West, "A Walk to Remember" is a true classic.

Falling in love with a guy a year older than you who's about to go off to college is complicated enough. Throw in the added drama that he's the older brother of your best friend, and you've got a total disaster on your hands. In 2018's "The Kissing Booth" — the first of three installments in the franchise — Joey King stars as Elle Evans, a teen who unexpectedly finds herself in a secret romance with her lifelong best friend Lee Flynn's (Joel Courtney) older brother, Noah (Jacob Elordi). To Elle's dismay, Lee is less than willing to accept his bestie's blooming relationship because it violates the rules of their friendship. Yikes.

_

Our list wouldn't be complete without this John Hughes film! "Pretty in Pink" is the ultimate teen rom-com thanks to Brat Pack members Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy and scene-stealer Jon Cryer. Molly stars as Andie, an artsy outcast who falls for Blane, her popular and rich classmate. Their relationship faces an uphill battle thanks to their different social statuses. Meanwhile, Andie's dorky best friend, Duckie, is secretly in love with her. Released in 1986, "Pretty in Pink" is a cult classic that everyone should check out.

"Easy A" has to be one of the most creative teen films we've ever seen. Loosely inspired by "The Scarlet Letter," "Easy A" follows Olive, a clean-cut student who decides to spice things up and lie about losing her virginity. Her little white lie soon turns her life upside down, but Olive finds happiness (and love) with the school mascot, Todd. "Easy A" is the film that helped propel Emma Stone to super-stardom and solidified Penn Badgley as a total heartthrob.

What happens when you mix a classically trained ballet dancer and a med school-bound hip-hop kid from opposite worlds? True love, of course! Sara Johnson and Derek Reynolds' love takes center stage in 2001's "Save the Last Dance," in which they overcome different backgrounds, the death of a loved one, gang associations and teen angst. Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas shine in this teen-focused rom-com.

So what if "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is a superhero flick?! The Marvel movie, which was released in 2019, stars Tom Holland as high schooler Peter Parker/Spider-Man, who goes on a class trip to Europe in hopes of growing closer to his longtime crush, MJ (Zendaya). Of course, as soon as they touch down in Italy, Peter is recruited by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to put a stop to some of the diabolical villains threatening the continent. The film follows Peter as he struggles with juggling his duties as Spider-Man with his hopes to get the girl of his dreams.

2019's "The Perfect Date" stars Noah Centineo as Brooks Rattigan, a technology-savvy teen who creates an app that allows him to pose as a fake date, which he uses to earn money for college. His seemingly foolproof plan, however, begins to unravel when he falls for a girl he was paid to take out.

_

From its super-cute story to its legendary theme song, "Drive Me Crazy" is a blast across the board. The 1999 movie stars Melissa Joan Hart (a '90s icon) and Adrian Grenier (our childhood crush) as next-door neighbors who decide to fake-date each other to make their real crushes jealous. The twosome soon realize that they already have true love — with each other. "Drive Me Crazy" was a major hit, grossing over $22 million — plus it gave us one of Britney Spears' best songs!

"Say Anything" has a ton of moments that make it one of our favorite teen rom-coms of all time, but the most iconic has to be the boombox scene. The grand gesture we've all been waiting for IRL! After losing his girlfriend Diane, Lloyd Dobler plays "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel outside of her window to show his love. Starring John Cusack and Ione Skye, "Say Anything" received rave reviews from critics and audiences when it opened in 1989.

If you had the chance to go back in time and redo it all, would you? "17 Again" considers this wild possibility. The romantic comedy follows 37-year-old Mike O'Donnell (Matthew Perry), a washed up high school basketball star who gave up a promising career to marry his pregnant girlfriend and raise their child. Now, nearly 20 years and another kid later, Mike's grown to resent his wife (Leslie Mann) and the life they've created. When Mike is inexplicably transformed back into his 17-year-old self (Zac Efron), he gets the chance to right his wrongs and fix his past — which, we come to realize, may jeopardize his present.

"Dope" is definitely one of the dopest movies we've seen so far. The 2015 indie flick has a hilarious and heartfelt story, phenomenal acting and the perfect soundtrack, making it one of the best. "Dope" follows Malcolm Adekanbi, a geeky teen from Inglewood, California, who falls for Nakia, a cool and classy girl who's struggling to get her GED. Their sweet romance is complicated when Malcolm is forced to help out a drug dealer acquaintance. Shameik Moore and Zoe Kravitz excel in this feel-good film, which was produced by Forest Whitaker.

2011's "Prom" explores several intersecting stories about teenagers as they prepare for what's supposed to be the most magical night of their young lives. "Friday Night Lights" alum Aimee Teegarden stars in one storyline as Nova Prescott, an innocent, rule-abiding senior who begins to fall for Jesse Richter (Thomas McDonell), a misunderstood guy at school. Nicholas Braun, Danielle Campbell, DeVaughn Nixon, Cameron Monaghan and Nolan Sotillo also appear in this high school rom-com.

Despite having aspects of a romantic comedy, this film also marks one of Hilary Duff's more dramatic roles. 2004's "Raise Your Voice" stars the teen queen as Terri Fletcher, a young girl from Flagstaff, Arizona, who dreams of being a singer-songwriter. Following the tragic death of her older brother, Paul, who was also her biggest supporter, Terri decides to attend a prestigious summer music program in Los Angeles, despite her overbearing father's wishes. There, Terri hones her craft and falls in love with a fellow musician named Jay (Oliver James).

The 1982 coming-of-age comedy-drama "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" follows Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a beautiful teen who majorly lacks experience in all things dating. After taking advice from pal Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates), Stacy finds herself in a complex love triangle with boy-next-door Mark Ratner (Brian Backer) and his more confident companion Mike Damone (Robert Romanus). Simultaneously, the lauded high school romantic comedy follows Sean Penn's Jeff Spicoli, Stacy's surfer classmate who butts heads with their principal, Mr. Hand (Ray Walston).

After meeting by happenstance at a high school party, teens Dave Hodgman (Dylan O'Brien) and Aubrey Miller (Britt Robertson) strike up a conversation that leads to so much more. While Dave is initially hung up on Jane (Victoria Justice), the girl in his friend group who's long been the object of his affection, he begins to develop feelings for Aubrey. Soon, Dave and Aubrey find themselves agreeing to lose their virginity to one another… a decision that seems simple, in theory. 2012's "The First Time" explores first loves, first heartbreaks and the power of first experiences.

No high school rom-com list would be complete without this classic! 1963's "Bye Bye Birdie" is one of the first teen romance movies to come out of Hollywood. The legendary musical stars Ann-Margret as Kim MacAfee, a lucky high school girl who's selected to kiss young rock 'n' roll star Conrad Birdie before he heads off to war. The kiss causes problems for her high school sweetheart Hugo Peabody, played by Bobby Rydell, but the couple reunites in the end. "Bye Bye Birdie" delighted audiences back in the '60s and continues to do so today.

It's no fun being the girl in the friend group that no one wants to date — and it's especially no fun when you're given a totally demeaning nickname. 2015's "The Duff" stars Mae Whitman as Bianca, the designated uglier, less attractive friend of her pretty girlfriends who enlists help from the hottest guy in school, Wesley (Robbie Amell), to become more confident. A seemingly simple plan grows increasingly complex when Bianca and Wesley realize they might have feelings for each other.

Country music legend Loretta Lynn is gone at 90. "Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills [Tennessee]," her family announced on Oct. 4, 2022. To honor the icon, Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at her life and career in photos.

Loretta Lynn was born on April 14, 1932, in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, to Clara and Ted Webb. Loretta, who was named after famed actress Loretta Young, had seven other siblings. She's seen here with her family circa 1955.

Loretta Lynn had a tough childhood — she grew up in poverty in Kentucky. Her father, Ted, was a coal miner and her mother Clara worked hard as a homemaker raising eight kids. Loretta is seen here as a teenager in Kentucky in 1950 two decades before she wrote a song inspired by her experience, "Coal Miner's Daughter," in 1970.

_

Loretta Lynn married Oliver Vanetta Lynn, who also went by Doolittle, in January 1948 at was just 15. The couple, pictured here in 1955, wed after just a month of knowing each other. When she was seven months pregnant with their first child, Loretta and Oliver moved to Custer, Washington. Their tumultuous marriage would go on to influence her songwriting.

_

In 1960, Loretta Lynn released her debut single, which she also wrote — "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl." She and her husband drove from radio station to radio station in an effort to self-promote the single. The track peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard country songs chart. This was only the beginning for Loretta, whose songs were seen as pushing the boundaries of country music due to their focus on themes like women's rights and infidelity.

_

Loretta Lynn — who formed her own band, the Trailblazers, with brother Jay Lee — performed at clubs throughout the 1950s. It didn't take long for Loretta, who joined the Grand Ole Opry in September 1962, to become the No. 1 female recording artist in all of country music — her 1962 single "Success" was her first massive hit. The Kentucky native, who made her first Opry appearance in 1960, is seen here at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville the same year she joined.

1967 marked the year in which Loretta Lynn hit No. 1 with "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)." The album went on to become one of the first by a female country music artist to sell an impressive 500,000 copies. Loretta is seen here with BBC journalists David Allen and Stephen West at the International Festival of Country and Western Music that same year.

In 1971, Loretta Lynn began her professional partnership with country singer-songwriter Conway Twitty. The pair — seen here together in an undated photo — had five consecutive No. 1 songs together: 1971's "After the Fire Is Gone" (which earned them a Grammy), 1971's "Lead Me On," 1973's "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man," 1974's "As Soon as I Hang Up the Phone" and 1974's "Feelins."

Loretta Lynn is seen here with her twin daughters, Peggy and Patsy, who were born in 1964, in March 1972. 1972 was also a monumental year in her career — Loretta became the first woman to ever be recognized by the Country Music Association as entertainer of the year.

In 1973, Loretta Lynn — who's seen here performing on ABC's "Jack Paar Tonite" that same year — had another track, "Rated X," peak at No. 1. The song stands out in her discography as one of the most controversial, as it tackles the bias against women who get divorced.

_

Loretta Lynn's husband, Oliver Lynn, joined her at the 1975 Country and Western Music Awards. At that time he was working as the president of Loretta Lynn Enterprises Inc., a company formed in 1973 to oversee her businesses.

_

Loretta Lynn performed at a very important venue in April 1978 — the White House! Yep, President Jimmy Carter, seen here embracing the star, invited her to Washington, D.C., for an evening of country music.

_

Loretta Lynn celebrated another massive accomplishment in 1978 — she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer is seen here with her plaque, which helped close out an impressive decade: The Academy of Country Music went on to name her Artist of the Decade at the end of the '70s.

_

In 1980, Loretta Lynn's 1976 autobiography, "Coal Miner's Daughter," was adapted into an Academy Award-nominated film of the same name. Loretta was portrayed by Sissy Spacek (pictured with her on stage that same year), who went on to win the Oscar for best actress!

_

A family affair! Loretta Lynn posed with singer sister Crystal Gayle and their mother, Clara Webb Butcher, at the Country Music Awards in 1980.

Loretta Lynn's husband, Oliver Lynn — seen with her at a benefit concert in New York City in 1982 — was by her side for decades. But after nearly 50 years of marriage — and six children together — he passed away in 1996 at 69. She put her career on hold near the end of his life to care for him when he got sick — he had heart surgery in 1992 and complications from diabetes led to the amputation of his feet and, later, his legs.

The '80s marked a pivotal decade in Loretta Lynn's career. In 1983, she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, followed by an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988. Loretta is seen here on stage during Bob Hope's 80th birthday celebration in 1983.

After stepping out of the spotlight for some time, Loretta Lynn returned in 1993 with the release of the album "Honky Tonk Angels," which she recorded with Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette (pictured here together back in 1980). The album was a major success — in addition to peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard country chart, "Honky Tonk Angels" sold upwards of 800,000 copies and the track "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" earned both Grammy and Country Music Association Award nominations.

Loretta Lynn guest starred on an episode of "Roseanne," which aired in January 1993, alongside Roseanne Barr.

_

Iconic! In 1995, Loretta Lynn was honored with the Pioneer Award at the 30th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.

_

In 2000, Loretta Lynn released her first solo album in 12 years, "Still Country," which included the track "I Can't Hear the Music," a song she dedicated to her late husband, who'd died four years earlier. She's seen here performing that same year.

_

In 2002, Loretta Lynn — seen here at a book signing in New York City that same year — published her second autobiography, "Still Woman Enough," which was followed by another release two years later. In 2004, she released her first cookbook, "You're Cookin' It Country." Eight years later, in 2012, Loretta released a third autobiography, "Honky Tonk Girl: My Life in Lyrics."

A reason to celebrate! In 2003, Loretta Lynn was lauded at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.

_

2004 was a significant year in Loretta Lynn's acclaimed career in country music. That year, she released her 42nd studio album, "Van Lear Rose," which was produced by the White Stripes' Jack White (who also played guitar and sang backup on some tracks). The album, which was praised by Rolling Stone as the second best of that year, earned a 2005 Grammy Award for best country album.

In 2010, Loretta Lynn was honored with a Grammy lifetime achievement award after five decades in music. That evening, her twin daughters, Peggy and Patsy, accepted the award on their mother's behalf.

Among Loretta Lynn's many siblings are two other famous singers — Peggy Sue and Crystal Gayle. The sisters posed with Loretta at the Grammy Salute to Country Music event honoring Loretta in Nashville in 2010.

In 2016, Loretta Lynn — seen here with Bravo host Andy Cohen while visiting his show, "Watch What Happens Live," to promote her work that year — released her 43rd studio album, "Full Circle," which included musical features by Elvis Costello and Willie Nelson. It was Loretta's 40th album to rank within the top 10 on Billboard's bestselling country list.

A few weeks after this photo was taken during a performance at the Louisville Palace in March 2017, Loretta Lynn suffered a stroke. More health problems followed, including a 2018 fall in which she broke her hip.

As Loretta Lynn's health recovered, she kept earning awards. She's seen here at the Loretta Lynn Ranch with her Cracker Barrel Country Legend Award in September 2019.

In 2020, a statue of Loretta Lynn was unveiled at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. The life-sized artwork was in good company, joining statues of fellow music icons Little Jimmy Dickens and Bill Monroe.

In January 2021 — two months before releasing her 50th studio album, "Still Woman Enough," which shares its title with her 2002 memoir — an 88-year-old Loretta Lynn took to Instagram to share this photo of herself after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. "Well, I bundled up and Peggy Jean and I rolled out of Hurricane Mills so I could get this vaccine. I'm sure glad to get it and am sure ready to put Covid in the rear view mirror! And I enjoyed the mom daughter time, too!" she captioned the pic.

After years of flirting with a possible White House bid, Dwayne Johnson says a presidential campaign is now "off the table." Instead, he says his first priority is fatherhood. "The Rock" addressed his on-off interest in the Oval Office in a teaser clip from the next edition of "CBS Sunday Morning." "It's off the table. Yes. It is off the table," he emphasized in the clip, released Friday (Oct. 7), via Consequence Film. "I will say this because it requires a B side to this. I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. Especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters' lives," said "The Rock," who shares Simone, 21, with ex Dany Garcia, and Jasmine, 6, and Tiana, 4, with wife Lauren Hashian. "Because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years in my first daughter's growing up in this critical age and at this critical time in her life." Dwayne, 50, said in 2017 that running for office was "a real possibility." Three years later, he said he'd "seriously considered" it again. He was still open to the idea in 2021, when he told USA Today he'd consider a presidential run "if that's what the people wanted." Speaking to CBS, however, he clarified that's no longer the case. "My No. 1 priority is my daughters," he said. "Sure, CEO sounds great. But the No. 1 thing I want to be is daddy. That's it."

Taylor Swift says 6-year romance with Joe Alwyn is behind 'Lavender Haze'

Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, had writing credits on her "Folklore" and "Evermore" album. Now, the actor's inspired the very first track of Taylor's upcoming release, "Midnights," due out Oct. 21. "I happened upon the phrase 'lavender haze' when I was watching 'Mad Men,'" Taylor explained in an Instagram video posted in the early hours of Friday (Oct. 7). "And I looked it up because I thought it sounded cool, and it turns out that it's a common phrase used in the '50s where they would just describe being in love. Like, if you were in the lavender haze, then that meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow – and I thought that was really beautiful," she continued. Despite all the public scrutiny about her romance with Joe, Taylor said the couple tends to shrug it off and focus on what matters — their love. "My relationship for six years, we've had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it," she said. "And so this song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff. I hope you guys like it." On TikTok and Instagram, Taylor also unveiled the track listing for "Midnights," which includes a song with Lana Del Rey called "Snow on the Beach."

Beyonce slams Right Said Fred's claim she never got permission to use 'I'm Too Sexy' on 'Renaissance'

Beyonce vehemently denies she sampled Right Said Fred's 1991 hit "I'm Too Sexy" on her new track, "Alien Superstar." The British pop duo — brothers Fred and Richard Fairbrass — claimed in an interview with The Sun earlier this week that Beyonce never asked permission to use their music "because she is such an arrogant person." They also suggested they weren't credited as co-writers or properly paid for use of their song. Beyonce's reps, however, slammed every one of those claims as "erroneous and incredibly disparaging" in a statement published by The Daily Mail on Friday (Oct. 7). "Permission was not only granted for its use, but [Right Said Fred] publicly spoke of their gratitude for being on the album," the statement read: "For their song, there was no sound recording use, only the composition was utilized. Permission was asked of their publisher on May 11, 2022 and the publisher approved the use on June 15, 2022. They were paid for the usage in August, 2022. Furthermore, the copyright percentage of the Right Said Fred writers with respect to the use of 'I'm Too Sexy' is a substantial portion of the composition. Collectively, the Right Said Fred writers own more than any other singular writer and have co-writer credit. This accusation is false." In Right Side Fred's initial interview, the brothers were quoted as saying were never approached by the singer to begin with. "Normally the artist approaches us but Beyonce didn't because she is such an arrogant person she just had probably thought 'come and get me.' So we heard about it after the fact …," they claimed, adding, "To use our melody they need our permission so they send us the demo and we approve it and if so we get a co-write credit."

William Shatner declares everything he thought about space 'was wrong' one year after Blue Origin trip

William Shatner says he had it all "wrong" about space. In his new book, "Boldly Go: Reflections on a Life of Awe and Wonder," the "Star Trek" alum reveals his 2021 space shuttle flight on the Blue Origin completely changed his mind, but not in the way he expected. "I love the mystery of the universe. I love all the questions that have come to us over thousands of years of exploration and hypotheses," he writes in an excerpt published this week by Variety. When he left the Earth's atmosphere and looked out into space, however, he says, "There was no mystery, no majestic awe to behold … all I saw was death." Earth, not space, turned out to be the compelling part of his trip. "It was life. Nurturing, sustaining, life. Mother Earth. Gaia. And I was leaving her," he explains. "Everything I had thought was wrong. I had thought that going into space would be the ultimate catharsis of that connection I had been looking for between all living things — that being up there would be the next beautiful step to understanding the harmony of the universe." For the actor, 91, the experience ultimately made him appreciate his own planet more than ever. "I discovered that the beauty isn't out there, it's down here, with all of us. Leaving that behind made my connection to our tiny planet even more profound," he writes. It turns out, William "was not alone in this feeling." Known as the "Overview Effect," it's "not uncommon among astronauts," according to the star's book. Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan's Archewell Foundation launches $1M grant program for women who've inspired teens

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back to work at their Archewell Foundation after traveling to London to say goodbye Queen Elizabeth II. On Friday (Oct. 7), the couple's nonprofit announced a new venture in partnership with the VING Project to donate $1 million in grants to women who've inspired teens and "defied life's hardships," according to Today.com. The idea grew out of Meghan's "Archetypes" podcast, which sees Meghan and guests like Serena Williams and Mariah Carey "investigate, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back," according to Spotify. "Two things that bring me great joy are supporting women, and the spirit of giving," Meghan said in a statement about the campaign. "With the return of 'Archetypes,' Archewell Foundation and VING have come together to create the perfect combination of these loves. By donating $1 million in grants to women in need, our hope is not to only provide support where it may be felt deepest, but also empower young adults to embrace the gift of giving at an early age." Teens aged 14 to 18 are invited to nominate women who've inspired them; chosen nominees will each receive $1,000, Today reports. It hasn't been all work and no play for Harry and Meghan since their return, though. On Wednesday, TMZ spotted the couple snuggling up to one another and dancing to Jack Johnson at his show at the Santa Barbara Bowl.

Tori Spelling clarifies comments about reuniting with her mom, brother for the first time in 20 years

When Tori Spelling shared a photo from her recent reunion dinner with her mom Candy and brother, Randy, her caption, "I don't think the 3 of us { just the 3 of us} have gone out to dinner together in 20 years," left followers thinking she'd been estranged from her family for two decades. That's not the case, she recently clarified to Entertainment Tonight. "I meant that just the three of us have not had dinner in 20 years because it was always, like, with our families," she explained, adding that Randy has two kids, she has five and they live in different states. Randy hadn't flown anywhere since before the pandemic, she said, so his appearance in Los Angeles was a special surprise for their mom. But the gathering was extra-meaningful to Tori because it can be so easy not to make time for the people we love, especially after two years of lockdowns and health dangers. "It's so important and I feel like life is too short and we forget that," she said. "I think because life keeps going and so you say to yourself, 'I gotta make plans with this person, I gotta make an effort,' and then you don't because your life keeps going. And it's important now to really take that time and I think I'm finally starting to get that."

Miss USA rocked by favoritism, cheating claims as contestants storm off stage

There is no peace in the world of the Miss USA pageant.

The organization is being rocked by cheating and favoritism accusations, and contestants aren't hiding their feelings, as several walked off the stage when Miss Texas, R'Bonney Gabriel, was crowned the new winner.

Several contestants are convinced that R'Bonney was the predetermined winner, as evidenced by the lead up to the Monday, Oct. 3, crowning ceremony. The seemingly-shunned women point to the fact that the Asian and Filipina American was hugely tight with Miss USA director Crystle Stewart and visited a plastic surgery spa, a key part of the winning prize, weeks before being crowned. The eventual winner — Miss Texas — also participated in a pageant coaching business that is run by Crystle, which solidified the women's friendship.

Miss Montana, Heather Lee O'Keefe, took to TikTok to outline the cheating claims.

"Most of the Miss USA contestants feel very strongly that there was favoritism towards Miss Texas USA and we have the receipts to prove it," she said in a TikTok video, via MailOnline. "We are putting our titles on the line, putting our reputations on the line."

In another video, she said, "That's how strongly we feel about believing and standing up for what is right. There is many of us who have even said we are willing to relinquish our titles to take this stand because that's how serious we are about this."

While it's customary for Miss USA contestants to stay on stage and applaud the winner, video showed the beauty queens leaving in a mass exodus after R'Bonney's win.

Miss Texas' rivals believe the fix was in long before the crowning evening. A video of Crystle doing R'Bonney's hair weeks before the ceremony is just one piece of the controversy. In addition, Heather pointed to a video of R'Bonney being pampered at the NIZUC Resort & Spa over two months ago — the resort tweeted out the video shortly after the win. The spa visit is typically gifted in the days after the win, not months before.

"@MissUSA was crowned less than 24 hours ago, yet she already got her sponsored vacation to @NIZUCResort," Heather said. "Are you kidding me? I was giving y'all the benefit of the doubt, but this is just embarrassing at this point."

Miss Texas, Heather also claims, was the only one featured on the Miss USA website. Further, it turns out that one of the judges of Miss USA is allegedly the founder of a beauty company affiliated with NIZUC.

"Ever since Miss Texas was crowned a couple months ago, she has been shown favoritism by the Miss USA organization through their businesses that are also all owned by the same woman," Heather said.

Former Miss USA contestant Jasmine Jones, who has been involved in pageantry for a decade, also said the favoritism is "obvious" and insisted the mass exodus was a "big tell-all" that "something was off."

"In the background, girls were literally clapping [weakly] and they started exiting the stage before she even turned around for her congratulatory hug from other contestants," she said. "Before she even got halfway down the runway for her crowning moment, the contestants behind her were exiting the stage."

Several women in the Class of 2021, Heather alleged, have filed a lawsuit against the organizers.

Sharon Osbourne backs Kanye, agrees Black Lives Matter is a 'scam'

During his weeklong war against his estranged family, various models and a litany of fashion gurus, Kanye West dubbed the Black Lives Matter movement a "scam." He has a supporter in Sharon Osbourne.

The former "The Talk" co-host was asked her take on Kanye's views and his now-infamous White Lives Matter shirt, to which she remained mostly mum. Admitting she's not totally up to speed on the situation, Sharon is confused by Ye's viewpoints but also equally confused by the backlash surrounding them.

"I don't understand why white lives don't matter," she told TMZ cameras. "Everybody matters, don't they?"

One thing she's lockstep with Kanye on is his feelings pertaining to BLM, as he recently called it a "scam" on social media.

"We gave $900,000 to [BLM] and I'd like my money back," Sharon said. "I wish he could have said that before."

The British personality didn't indicate when she donated to the organization, but most presume it was in 2020 after the George Floyd killing and ensuing uprising.

While Kanye claims there are calls for him to be "canceled," Sharon thinks that notion is preposterous — this, of course, coming from someone who was effectively canceled last year over her support of pal Piers Morgan.

"You can't stop people from living their lives," Sharon said, adding that you can curb support Kanye in a multitude of ways. "Don't go to his social media, don't listen to his music, leave the guy alone. Let him do what he does and if you don't like him, do that. Leave him alone."

The interview comes as Adidas is said to be reviewing its partnership with the rapper, something Sharon sees as pure posturing.

"They won't cut their ties," she said, "they make too much money from him."

Michael Landon's grandson dies after being hit by L.A. city bus

The daughter of late TV star Michael Landon revealed that her son was struck by a Los Angeles city bus and claims he was "left to die on the side of the road."

Shawna Landon has been trying to bring attention to Dylan Lupia's death on Instagram since mid-August. On Wednesday, Oct. 5, she spoke to MailOnline about the mystery that she says continues to surround the 24-year-old's death.

Dylan, his mother says, was walking along the bike lane in the coastal city of Rancho Palos Verdes on August 17 when Metro Local 344 bus struck him and continued down the road. It's believed that Dylan died instantly from head injuries.

"I just want answers. It's all I think about. How can you not know you just hit a human being This man didn't even stop to see what happened, nor did he call 911. My son was left to die on the side of the road," Shawna said.

MailOnline claims the bus didn't stop because the driver thought someone was trying to vandalize the vehicle. However, the driver did call LA Metropolitan Transportation Authority after making the next stop.

Why the grandson of the "Little House on the Prairie" star was walking on the road isn't known. In addition, his car has also not been found.

"There are still so many unanswered questions, and as a mother I will do everything in my power to get answers," Shawna said. "Dylan's wallet was found on him and it still contained his ID, money and his credit card. However, his car keys and cell phone were missing."

Of course, Michael never met Dylan, as the actor passed from pancreatic cancer in 1991 at the age of 54.

"I know he would have been devastated that something like this happened to Dylan, and he'd want me to get to the bottom of it," Shawna said. "My son was a great kid, but he battled mental health issues. When he was 14, he was diagnosed with being on the spectrum and although he was high functioning, he struggled to hold down a job and have healthy relationships. He was living on his own when the accident occurred."

Look, to this day, any role that anybody gets, it's only because he's passed on it beforehand. It doesn't matter what anyone tells you. It doesn't matter how friendly you are with the directors. All those people that I've worked with multiple times, they all offered every one of those roles to him first. I had one of those people actually tell me that," he revealed. "So, thank you, Leo, because literally, he gets to choose everything he does. And good for him, he's phenomenal." Although Christian and Leo, both 47, have one Oscar-win each under their belts, Christian insisted Leo's acting skills extend beyond his own. So does Christian ever take it "personally" when he gets a role Leo passed on? "No," he said. "Do you know how grateful I am to get any d*** thing? I mean, I can't do what he does. I wouldn't want the exposure that he has either. And he does it magnificently. But I would suspect that almost everybody of similar age to him in Hollywood owes their careers to him passing on whatever project it is." Christian's new David O. Jada Pinkett Smith to publish 'no holds barred' memoir

Jada Pinkett Smith is set to release a new, "no holds barred" memoir detailing her "unconventional upbringing in Baltimore" as the child of two addicts, her "rise to stardom," her "complicated marriage to Will Smith," and more, People reported on Thursday (Oct. 6). Jada's book deal with Dey Street Books comes as the "Red Table Talk" host and actress, 51, continues to navigate what she's described as a time of "healing" with her family in the wake of Will's infamous Oscars slap incident back in March. In her memoir, the star "chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey" from deep depression "to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power," according to a press release. The book will also delve into the "crisis" Jada endured at age 40 and the "excruciating choices she was forced to make to redefine her life in every way," the release continued, adding that at its core, the book details "two unexpected love stories, one being Jada's complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being the one with herself." As Will confirmed to GQ in 2021 while promoting his own memoir, he and Jada have a non-monogamous marriage and have both had sexual relationships with others since they tied the knot in 1997. Jada's as-yet-untitled memoir is due out in the fall of 2023.

Justin Bieber has postponed the remaining dates on his Justice World Tour through 2023, and his fans are not too happy with the news. The announcement appeared on the tour's Instagram page on Thursday (Oct. 6) and made no reference to Justin's health, which he cited last month when he said he was taking a break from touring to prioritize his health after struggling with facial paralysis due to Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome. At the time, sources told TMZ the star's mental health state was also a factor. "Justin Bieber announces the Justice World Tour ended with Rock in Rio," Thursday's announcement read. "All remaining dates of his world tour postponed to next year … ticketholders will be informed on next steps as updates occur." The tour was previously scheduled to continue through March 2023, with a break around the holidays. After multiple postponements and show cancelations, however, fans are growing frustrated, as they made clear in comments on Thursday's post. "Just cancel the rest of the tour at this point and give everyone a refund I can't even remember how long ago I bought tickets it's been that LONG!" one user griped. "The way you handled the situation was unprofessional from the beginning, start caring about us please," wrote another. Dozens of others urged Justin to cancel the whole tour and issue refunds immediately. Some positive responses appeared in the comments, too, with one person writing, "Hope that Justin gets all the time in the world to rest before going back on tour." Those sentiments were largely outnumbered by refund demands and complaints, though.

Sharon Osbourne shares an update on Ozzy's Osbourne's Parkinson's battle

Sharon Osbourne is opening up about Ozzy Osbourne's battle with Parkinson's disease, a progressive nervous system disorder that can cause tremors, muscle control problems, speech issues and more. "Suddenly, your life just stops, life as you knew it," Sharon says in a ITV's "Paxman: Putting Up with Parkinson's" (via People). Ozzy, 73, was diagnosed with the disease in 2003 but didn't go public with it until 2020. "When I look at my husband, my heart breaks for him," Sharon admits. "I'm sad for myself to see him that way, but what he goes through is worse. And sometimes when I look at him and he doesn't know I'm looking at him, I'm like crying." Sharon, 69, recalls how Ozzy was always "very energetic" and "loved to go out for walks" before he was diagnosed with the disorder, which is now causing him sleep problems, as well. "The positive thing is with the family we spend so much more time together and I just love my husband more than I did three years ago," she added. In addition to Parkinson's, Ozzy's also been in and out of hospitals in recent years for a variety of reasons. In June, Sharon said on "The Talk" that her longtime partner was having surgery that would "determine the rest of his life." She didn't elaborate, but the Black Sabbath frontman later assured fans on Twitter that he was doing well and recovering at home.

Kourtney Kardashian says she loves 'being curvier' after gaining weight from IVF

After months of IVF, Kourtney Kardashian has some new curves — and she's learning to embrace them. "So obviously my body's changed. But it was all of the hormones that the doctors put me on," Kourtney, 43, said on "The Kardashians" on Thursday (Oct. 5), according to Entertainment Tonight. "Eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body mentally and physically. I think it's taken me a lot to get me to the place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes." The mother of three admitted she sometimes struggles to avoid internalizing negative comments about her weight on social media, but said her husband, Travis Barker, has been so supportive through it all that she's now "into" her new figure. "Every day, Travis is like, 'You're perfect.' If I make one complaint, he's like, You're perfect. You're so fine …,'" she explained. "Having a partner who is so supportive of me and always complimenting me, no matter what, it's just helped me to really embrace the changes and actually to the point where I love the changes now." It hasn't hurt that she associates times in her life when she weighed significantly less with being "anxious" and stuck "in toxic relationships." She was focused on her weight, rather than celebrating her curves at the time. "I used to be, like, 95 lbs.," she recalled. "And then 105 became my new normal weight. I'm 115. I used to be stuck on the number. I also love being curvier. It's just channeling that queen energy and embracing the woman that I am."

Elton John, more stars accuse Associated Newspapers of tapping their phones in new lawsuit

Elton John, Prince Harry and Elizabeth Hurley have filed suit against Associated Newspapers on grounds the publisher tapped their phones, homes and cars and paid off police officers to obtain personal information, TMZ reported this week. The stars are part of large group of plaintiffs involved in the lawsuit, which also alleges the publisher has used "illicit means" such as "impersonating hospital staff to access medical" information and other private details about their lives, including their bank accounts. A rep for the company, which publishes The Daily Mail and other news sites, denies the allegations. "We utterly and unambiguously refute these preposterous smears which appear to be nothing more than a pre-planned and orchestrated attempt to drag the Mail titles into the phone hacking scandal concerning articles up to 30 years old," the spokesperson told TMZ. "These unsubstantiated and highly defamatory claims, based on no credible evidence, appear to be simply a fishing expedition by claimants and their lawyers, some of whom have already pursued cases elsewhere," they added.

Britney Spears responds to her mom's public apology

Britney Spears has no interest in accepting her mother's recent public apology. After Lynne Spears begged for her daughter's forgiveness and asked the singer to "unblock" her on social media so they could talk, Britney, 40, responded with a since-deleted Instagram post in which she told Lynne, "take your apology and go f*** yourself." Britney's post rehashed more of the alleged abuse she suffered during her 13-year long conservatorship, recalling her fear of being sent to another psychiatric ward by her father and conservator, Jamie Spears, if she broke any of his elaborate rules for her life. "For 13 years, I had to meet doctors weekly to bring up my past which made it worse !!!" she wrote in part, according to Billboard. Accusing her "whole family" of being "drunk or stoned" like most of her audiences, Britney she was the "saint who was scared to move or I knew my dad would put me somewhere if I didn't cooperate," at the time, when her earnings were reportedly supporting her family. "Not one m************ person stood up for me !!!" she continued. "Mom take your apology and go f*** yourself !!! And to all the doctors for f****** with my mind … I pray you all burn in h*** !!!" Britney's conservatorship was terminated in November 2021, but she's still battling her father in court over his alleged mishandling of her estate.

While appearing on "The Tamron Hall Show," the "Reno 911!" star and wife Jessica Betts explained why each of them have "Cora" tattooed their bodies, despite it not being either's name.

The whole thing began when Jessica asked the actress what her birth name was. Niecy said "Carol," but Jessica heard "Cora." Jessica then proceeded to call Niecy "Cora" for almost two years.

"One day, she said, 'Why do you call me Cora?' And I was like, 'That's your name!'" Jessica recalled.

Niecy emphatically corrected her wife.

"I thought it was something that the cool kids called each other in New York on the street," Niecy said. "I said, 'My name is not Cora' and [Jessica] said, 'It is now.'"

The misheard name is now incredibly meaningful to the duo, as they both got it inked. Jessica's "Cora" ink appears on her neck, whereas Niecy has a tattoo that reads "Mrs. Cora Betts" on her hip.

"It's up and stuck…. JB, I'm Always & Forever your 'Cora' @jessicabettsmusic #IYKYK," Niecy captioned a video of the ink.

Jessica replied, "My Cora.. period."

In the wake of Naomi Judd's death, the singer's daughter Wynonna Judd says there's no truth the rumors she and her sister, Ashley Judd, are fighting about their mom's estate. In a new interview with People, Wynonna, 58, recalls hearing the reports during a recent visit to her sister's home. "Someone told me while I was at Ashley's house, 'Hey, did you know that they're saying this about you?' I went, 'Huh? I'm fighting with Ashley? Oh. Again?'" she says. "Fighting over what? I have such a great life. Ashley has a great life. Why would we be fighting over the will?" According to Wynonna, her mother's husband Larry Strickland was named the estate's executor and Wynonna and Ashley will "split" the estate following his death. "I am the last person in this family — and if Ashley was here, I'd hope she'd agree with me — who knows stuff like this," she says, referencing the will. "I'm not savvy enough to go, 'I'm going to contest the will.' It never occurred to me." Though she admits she Ashley have had a rocky relationship, she also says they've grown closer since Naomi died by suicide in April. "I feel like we're connected in a way that is so different because I'm an orphan. Both my parents are gone, and I'm relying on Ashley," the singer explains. "She's relying on me in a different way that's about compassion. It's not about being successful and smart and capable. It's about, 'I love you.' 'I love you, too.' We're vulnerable with each other, and we're tender." Wynonna adds: "As sisters, we disagree on so much. But when it comes to our mother, we both look at each other and go, 'She was quite the character.'"

Reese Witherspoon and her 23-year-old daughter Ava know the world thinks they look just alike. They just don't understand why. "The Morning Show" star, 46, revealed that tidbit during an appearance on "Today" this week (via ET). When producers flashed a photo of Reese and Ava on the screen, Jenna Bush Hager exclaimed, "Y'all are twins!" Cue Reese's almost bewildered response: "Oh, you think so?" she asked. "Do you see it?" But you have to really nurture your adult relationship with your children, too, and give them respect and space to become who they are and not who you want them to be."

Rihanna admits she's nervous about her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance

Just days after Rihanna confirmed she'll headline the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, the singer told TMZ how she's feeling about the upcoming performance — her first in years. "I'm nervous, but I'm excited," she told the outlet on Tuesday (Oct. 4). Asked if she might collaborate with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, for the show, she replied in a teasing voice, "Maybe girl …!" If the singer incorporates other artists, there's a good chance Rocky could be on the bill. The rapper, who welcomed a child with Rihanna on May 13, featured the singer in his video for "D.M.B." earlier that month (along with a marriage proposal, made and accepted via his-and-hers diamond grills that spelled out "MARRY ME?" and "I DO"). The two have also been spotted hitting music studios together in Los Angeles and New York City together as recently as Monday. The Fenty creator, whose last album was 2016's "Anti," has been inundated on social media for years with fans' pleas for new music. She's opted to focus instead on the fashion and beauty ventures that helped make her the world's wealthiest female musician. But she has said an album's in the works. "I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album," she told Vogue in 2019. "Reggae always feels right to me," the Bajan star said at the time. "It's in my blood. It doesn't matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves. It's always the same high. Even though I've explored other genres of music, it was time to go back to something that I haven't really homed in on completely for a body of work." She clammed up when asked about a potential release date. But given that Rihanna's signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation — the same company that serves as the NFL's "Live Music Entertainment Strategist" and executive produces the Super Bowl's halftime shows — a February 2023 release seems like a strong possibility.

Alec Baldwin reaches settlement with Halyna Hutchins' family in fatal 'Rust' shooting

Alec Baldwin and the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed last year on the set of "Rust" when a gun Alec was holding went off, have reached a settlement in the wrongful-death suit Halyna's husband filed against Alec and the film's other producers. As part of the undisclosed settlement, all parties agreed that the movie will resume filming in January 2023, but with Halyna's widower, Matthew Hutchins, serving as executive producer. "I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin)," Matthew said in a statement on Wednesday (Oct. 5), according to CNN. "All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident." Alec's attorney, Luke Nikas, also released a statement on Wednesday, as did director Joel Souza, who was injured in the same shooting incident that killed Halyna. "Throughout this difficult process, everyone has maintained the specific desire to do what is best for Halyna's son," Alec's lawyer said, in part. Joel, meanwhile, issued a lengthy statement in which he praised Halyna and her "amazing work" extensively. "In my own attempts to heal, any decision to return to finish directing the film could only make sense for me if it was done with the involvement of Matt and the Hutchins family," he said, in part. "Though certainly bittersweet, I am pleased that together, we will now complete what Halyna and I started. My every effort on this film will be devoted to honoring Halyna's legacy and making her proud." Matthew and his family originally filed the lawsuit in February on grounds the producers of "Rust," including Alec, violated multiple industry safety standards and cut corners to save money. Alec and others involved in "Rust" still face other legal hurdles, despite the settlement. The Santa Fe County District Attorney's Office recently said in a request for funding in case charges are brought that four people, including Alec, could still be charged in Halyna's death. How and why live ammunition was loaded in the gun Alec was told contained none and was "cold" before it went off has yet to be determined, according to The New York Times. The Times also notes there's been no confirmation on whether Alec will return to his starring role in "Rust" when production resumes.

Kanye West calls Khloe Kardashian a liar in new Instagram rant over Chicago's birthday party

Kanye West's Instagram tear continues … and now Khloe Kardashian's involved. While defending the "White Lives Matter" shirts he debuted this week in Paris on Instagram, Ye connected a fashion critic's negative response to the shirts with a claim his ex, Kim Kardashian, refused to tell him where their daughter's birthday party was. That would be Chicago West's birthday party, which Kanye attended, as Khloe chimed in to point out. In her comment, which began with "Ye I love you," Khloe also begged him to "STOP tearing Kimberly down and using our family when you want to deflect." She added: "Again with the birthday narrative. Enough already. We all know the truth and in my opinion, everyone's tired of it." On Wednesday (Oct. 5), Ye shared a screenshot of Khloe's comments, then tore into her, using all caps. "You are lying and are liars y'all basically kidnapped Chicago on her birthday so she could remember her father not being there," he wrote. He went on to claim Travis Scott gave him the birthday party address so he could make it. "That's how y'all play black fathers," he continued. He claimed the Kardashians also threw an early party before his son Psalm's birthday while he was flying home from Japan. "The first I heard about it was seeing pics of the party online," he wrote. Finally, the Yeezy designer added, rather confusingly, "I should see my children 100% of the time but since there's a separation it should have been 50% of the time." Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021. Since then, Kanye's repeatedly used social media to criticize how Kim parents their four kids.

Hilary Swank, 48, reveals she's expecting twins

Hilary Swank and her husband, Philip Schneider, are expanding their family — by two! The actress, 48, revealed on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday (Oct. 5) that she's expecting twins. "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is, I'm gonna be a mom!" she said on the show, according to Entertainment Tonight. "I'm gonna be a mom and not just of one, but of two … I can't believe it." Hilary also stopped by "Live With Kelly and Ryan" on Wednesday to discuss her new drama, "Alaska Daily," but that conversation soon turned to her pregnancy, as well. "It's such a blessing, It's a total miracle," she told the hosts, adding that twins run in her husband's family. The actress and entrepreneur tied the knot four years ago after meeting on a blind date.
