Carol Baskin reacts to Joe Exotic's failure to get pardon

Although Joe Exotic and his team are disappointed that Donald Trump failed to pardon the "Tiger King" star on his way out of office, there is one person ecstatic about the decision: Carole Baskin.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

A happy Carole told TMZ, "If I understand the notice I got from the prison system, he's already gotten another month added to his sentence by not obeying prison rules."

In the waning hours of Trump's presidency, there had been murmurs that the outgoing POTUS may issue a pardon for the flamboyant "Tiger King" star, who is serving a 22-year prison sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot to kill Carole, his chief rival, as well as other animal abuse charges.

Ever since the popularity of Netflix's "Tiger King" docu-series, Joe's team has been trying to free him, and they hoped Trump would be sympathetic.

According to reports, Joe's team had a limo and hair and makeup team ready in the event that a pardon came through

"We are as disappointed that the President did not sign Joe's pardon, as we were confident yesterday that he would," Joe's team said.

Carole isn't crying, but handed out some free advice for the imprisoned former zookeeper.

"If Joe really had a change of heart, he could do what Mario Tabraue did to lessen his 100 year drug trafficking conviction to 12 years by turning state's evidence against the other animal exploiters," she said.

Clare Crawley and Dale Moss split: 'This is the healthiest decision for both of us'

It's over for "The Bachelorette" couple Clare Crawley and Dale Moss.

ABC/Craig Sjodin

On Jan. 19, TMZ reported that Dale, 32, broke things off with Clare, 39, over the weekend, and there is a suspicion that distance was a factor — he lives in New York City, while she lives in Sacramento, California.

Moments after the report hit the Internet, Dale confirmed the split on Instagram.

"I wanted share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways. We appreciate the love and support we've received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time," he wrote. "We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself – something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another."

https://www.instagram.com/p/CKPlh-RLHsc/

The split ends one of the fastest on-screen romances of all time. The duo met over the summer while filming "The Bachelorette" in a bubble environment. The moment Clare met Dale, she mentioned that he was "husband" material. She then continued to fall hard for Dale, essentially snubbing the other guys vying for her heart in order to focus entirely on him.

After just three weeks of filming, Clare left the show with Dale by her side. She was replaced by Tayshia Adams.

ABC/Craig Sjodin

Prior to the split, there had been reports that Clare and Dale were experiencing turbulence in their romance. Just a few hours before Dale's announcement, an Us Weekly source said, "Dale and Clare are technically still together but there are serious issues they are working through. They're in communication but on a break."

Interestingly enough, Clare posted an intimate image with her now-former fiancé to her Instagram on Jan. 9. He shared a video with her a few days earlier.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ2NhIGH9Gw/

Just last month, Clare mistakenly referred to Dale as her "husband," prompting many to wonder if they'd secretly tied the knot.

On Dec. 10, the former star of "The Bachelorette" posted a video on her Instagram Story in which she said, "Nothing makes me happier than grocery shopping with my husband." She later told her followers they were not married and blamed her wording on a "slip of the tongue."

While gushing about Dale in November, she said, "Everything he was looking for was everything I was looking for. He doesn't even realize he does this for me, but last night, I was having the worst anxiety ever, and [he] showed up when I was pacing around the pool with anxiety. He just grabbed my hand and paced with me around the pool. That's all I've ever wanted is a man to show up for me — not only when it's easy, not only when it's good and fun and pretty in ball gowns and all that. But, like, show up when I'm in my yoga pants and no makeup, and my hair's in a greasy knot. Like, show up for me. He's done that every single time."

Aaron Spelling's son, Randy, dishes on why he fled Hollywood

Randy Spelling grew up as Hollywood royalty as the son of mega-producer Aaron Spelling and brother of Tori Spelling. With that upbringing came tremendous pressure to be somebody special in Tinseltown, but it was a life Randy didn't want.

Bei/Shutterstock

In a chat with Page Six, the 42-year-old spoke about growing up the son of "such a legend" and why he decided to leave it all behind for a quiet life in Oregon.

"I realized I have to forge my own path because if I don't it's going to kill me," he said.

Aaron was one of the biggest names in entertainment while producing a string a massive hits, including, "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Charlie's Angels," "Dynasty," "Melrose Place," and "The Love Boat."

Jim Smeal/BEI/Shutterstock

While Randy's sister Tori went on to fame, he opted to become a life coach. Although he first thought that he would continue the family's glitzy legacy (in fact, it was all but assumed), his father's death in 2006 changed things.

"I was just trying to fill myself in any way I could and started filling myself with the wrong things and got caught up in addiction," Randy said. "So I went to rehab and after I thought, 'Gosh, I have this second chance, who do I want to be? What makes me happy? What am I here for?' And all these existential questions that I really set out on a path to answer."

Jss Images/BEI/Shutterstock

It was then that he discovered life coaching, something he's now done for 13 years.

"It was just, 'Hey this sounds really interesting,' so I did it and it was suggested I work with people and I started doing that and I realized, 'I think I'm good at it,' and it just propelled me to do more," he said. "I've been on both sides of the coin from having everything to being very concerned, 'How I am going to make this happen for my family?' and I can tell you happiness doesn't come from money. It can bring less stress and afford more choice but I work with people who have very little and CEOs and I can tell you happiness has nothing to do with money."

Tiffany Trump announces engagement on father's final day in office

Tiffany Trump is hearing wedding bells.

On Jan. 19, just 24 hours before her father leaves the Oval Office, Tiffany announced on Instagram that she has gotten engaged to boyfriend Michael Boulos.

While posting a snap from the White House, the 27-year-old wrote, "It has been an honor to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my amazing fiancé Michael! Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter!"

Michael commented, "Love you honey."

Tiffany and Michael have been dating for two years.

Michael, who reportedly hails from a wealthy Nigerian family, posted the same photo to social media.

"Got engaged to the love of my life! Looking forward to our next chapter together," he wrote.

The announcement comes as Tiffany's father, Donald Trump, enters his final 24 hours as President of the United States. Although Tiffany champions her father and was hopeful he'd be re-elected in the 2020 election, she hasn't had the presence that her older half-siblings have had on TV and on the campaign trail. Still, her Instagram feed often showed her at the White House or with her famous family.

Page Six notes that Tiffany, like many in her family, is looking to take up residence in South Florida.

Michael Douglas meets 1-month-old grandson for first time

The wait was worth it.

Back in mid-December, Michael Douglas' son Cameron Douglas welcomed a second child, a son, with his wife Viviane Thibes. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael was unable to meet his grandson for weeks.

Finally, on Jan. 19, the "Wall Street" actor was able to meet 4-week-old Ryder T. Douglas.

"First time I've seen my month old grandson, Ryder!," a bottle-carrying Michael captioned a photo in which Ryder comfortably nestles in his arm. The 76-year-old also added a smiling emoji and a heart emoji.

David Fisher/Shutterstock

Despite his physical absence from Ryder's life thus far — through no fault of his own — Michael has acted the part of a proud grandpa for the next Douglas generation.

On Dec. 23, he posted a photo of Cameron, Viviane, Ryder and their daughter, Lua, 3.

"Congratulations Cameron and Viviane! Welcome to the [world] Ryder T. Douglas!," Michael wrote.

As happy as Michael is to be a grandfather again, he's equally proud of his son, Cameron. The 42-year-old has overcome a drug-fueled past and embraced sobriety.

Cameron, who's grandfather was Kirk Douglas, was arrested in 2009 and sent to prison on drug charges. Two years later, while serving as an inmate, he was given a second sentence after being caught behind bars with items that tested positive for cocaine. Cameron was eventually released in July 2016.

While in prison, Cameron decided to get his life together.

"I believe the moment where I started to change direction was when I was given my second sentence," he said. "I was in solitary confinement and I felt something cracking or breaking inside of me. At that point, I knew I had two paths left open to me, and one path I probably would not have made it back from."

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas split: Report

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have parted ways after nearly a year together, according to multiple reports.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

"There is a lot of love still between the two of them," a source told Page Six. "The split is as amicable as can be. Ana is great, but I also think there's something to be said for the fact that Ben has a family and he really wants to be there for his kids and Ana is in a different place in her life."

Ben, 48, and Ana, 32, began dating after meeting on the set of "Deep Water." They were quickly seen vacationing in Cuba together. For most of 2020, Ben and Ana even quarantined together and the romance appeared to be moving quickly. In December 2020, People magazine reported that she even moved in with him.

Over the holidays, though, Ana made a trip home to see her family, sparking suspicion that the couple might be on the verge of a split.

In happier times, Ben and Ana were often seen on walks with his kids, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8, all of whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. Jen, sources said, even approved of Ana and was happy about the growing relationship the "Knives Out" star had with Ben's kids.

"It's sad, but for Ben, his children come above everything," Page Six's source said.

Pamela Anderson says 'vegans are better lovers'

Pamela Anderson believes there's a direct correlation between food and fun in the bedroom.

During an appearance on "Good Morning Britain," the former "Baywatch" beauty, who's been vegan for the past 30 years, made host Piers Morgan blush while discussing details of her love life. At one point, Piers asked if vegans make for better lovers.

Swan Gallet/WWD/REX/Shutterstock

"That's what I hear. I'm vegan. I'm fairly confident in that statement," she said on Jan. 18. "Absolutely, I think. But I think I've always had a lot of fun in that department."

As for why she's so confident in her stance, she said, "A lot of research went in to this."

Piers' question stemmed from a tweet Pam made over the weekend that read, "Vegans make better lovers. The cholesterol in meat, eggs and dairy causes hardening of the arteries (and not much else!)"

She added, "It slows blood flow to all the body's organs, not just the heart. You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan. A healthy body is a sexy body, and eating meat ISN'T healthy. It's been linked to heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and obesity – which are major causes of erectile dysfunction."

"No one needs to eat meat, since we can get everything we need from a healthy, vegan diet," she said.

REX/Shutterstock

Pam also claimed that vegan diets can help prevent future pandemics.

"COVID-19 and other deadly viruses like SARS, MERS, swine flu, and bird flu all spread from animals to humans. More viruses are sure to follow, since factory farms, live animal markets, and slaughterhouses are the perfect breeding ground for deadly diseases," she wrote. "Tofu, however, has never caused a pandemic!"

Miss Cayman Islands denies link to Armie Hammer amid scandal

Armie Hammer is on an island of his own when it comes to the Miss Cayman Islands pageant.

The organization was recently linked to Armie, but it has forcefully refuted any connection to the scandal-plagued actor.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Last week, the "Call Me By Your Name" star was reported to have a secret Instagram account under the handle el_destructo_86. The person running the account, supposedly Armie, implied that he was having a relationship with "Ms. Cayman," as a racy video of a woman appeared in the feed.

The org said the lingerie-clad woman on the Instagram feed is not Miss Cayman, nor does the woman have anything to do with Miss Cayman Islands.

"The Committee is very disturbed by the video and would like to confirm that the woman is not the reigning Miss Cayman Islands and has no affiliation to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant," the pageant said on its Instagram account. "The Committee and the reigning Miss Cayman regard this issue with the utmost seriousness and the matter has been reported to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS)."

It added, "The depiction of the woman in the video goes against all that our organization stands for and the Committee is consequently requesting that Mr. Hammer immediately remove all references to Miss Cayman from his social media channels."

Chelsea Lauren/Variety/Shutterstock

Last weekend Armie's name was trending on social media after he allegedly described himself as a "cannibal" in a leaked private message to a woman. As the week went on, more women came forward with bizarre and disturbing accusations against him.

The fallout prompted him to pull out of the film "Shotgun Wedding," which he was set to star in opposite Jennifer Lopez.

"I'm not responding to these b******* claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic," he told TMZ. "Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I'm grateful to them for that."

Kelly Osbourne 'feeling herself' while showing off weight loss

Kelly Osbourne has got it, and she's flaunting it.

The reality TV star took to Instagram this weekend to show off her 85 pound weight loss.

"Oh she's feeling herself today hunty!!!!," Kelly captioned a series of snaps that appear to have been taken in a trailer.

Last August, Kelly shocked her fans when she showed off a significantly slimmed figure on social media. She told one friend that she dropped 85 pounds. A few weeks later, she opened up about her weight loss, indicating it was helped by surgery.

"I did the gastric sleeve. All it does is change the shape of your stomach," she said on the "Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn" podcast. "I got that almost 2 years ago. I will never ever ever lie about it ever. It is the best thing I have ever done."

Lionel Hahn/Epic Records/PictureGroup/Shutterstock

The surgery, she said, is different than a "gastric bypass."

"All it does is move you in the right direction," she said. "So, anyone who's thinking of doing something like this, really think about that. I had to do a year of stand-alone therapy to prepare myself for the surgery before I even had it. All it is — is a push in the right direction. It doesn't solve all your problems. It's not a quick fix."

Not only has Kelly's body changed, but so has her mindset.

"The number one thing I had to do was get happy. I had to fix my head before I could fix my body. You can never go into this if you're not in a good mindset. I stopped drinking, which is the best thing I've ever done. I really wanted to fix the things that were broken in me," she said. "I'm not perfect. I still make a lot of mistakes. I have bumps in the road, I fall down, I get back up again."

Chrissy Teigen heads into 'horse world' for therapeutic reasons

In the wake of her recent pregnancy loss, Chrissy Teigen is taking the advice of her therapist and giving "horse world" a try.

On Saturday, Jan. 16, the cookbook author and mother of two shared a photo of a gorgeous brown horse with a white nose relaxing in a stall.

"My therapist says I need something that I do for just me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol," she tweeted. "Today begins my journey into the horse world. I hope this dude likes me … he's so handsome and appears lazy, I love."

https://twitter.com/chrissyteigen/status/1350466325353623554

Asked what is name is, Chrissy replied in the comments, "Cosmo!" adding that she hopes his name is a reference to the "Seinfeld" character, Cosmo Kramer, and that she's not Cosmo's owner.

Though she didn't immediately confirm if she was planning to take horseback riding lessons, the fact that her therapist suggested Cosmo made one follower point out she could be starting equine therapy, which can center around riding, or incorporate other kinds of equestrian work or interaction.

Chrissy's foray into "horse world" marks the latest in a series of changes she's made to her life since September, when she and her husband, John Legend, lost their third child, Jack, about halfway through Chrissy's pregnancy, due to complications related to the placenta.

The experience left Chrissy in a deep state of grief, as she later shared in a candid Medium essay.

But she's also told fans she's been able to move forward, thanks to therapy and other support systems.

Back in December, the model revealed she'd given up drinking.

She's also added tattoo tributes to both Jack and John, to her growing — and family-centric — ink collection.

A video of Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, rocking out in dance class went viral this week after Blue's grandmother, Tina Knowles Lawson, marveled at how much the 9-year-old resembles Bey's younger sister, Solange.

"Thi is Blue but I swear it looks like Solange dancing at this age ❤️," Tina captioned the adorable clip, which shows Blue pumping her arms and stomping her feet as she spins around slowly, checking out what the other girls in her class are up to.

By the end of the short video, a few of Blue's classmates start trying out moves that match hers as they watch her dance.

According to JustJared, the clip went viral as commenters compared notes on Blue's dance floor similarities to her famous mom, 39, and aunt, 34.

For some, like activist, author and teacher Rachel Cargle, Blue's Beyonce DNA was clearly centerstage.

"The way she looked around to VERIFY that no one was on her level," Rachel commented, "… then went back to work. … BABYYYYY! This is Beys child!"

Another user joked, "Blue said 'hold my Juicebox real quick '😂😂😂."

Granted, not a lot of kids are on her level when it comes to music and performance.

Blue was just 8 when she won an NAACP Image Award for outstanding duo, group or collaboration for her contribution to Beyonce's "Brown Skin Girl" and a Soul Train Award for video of the year for the song's video.

Last month, she was added to the list of Grammy nominees for Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl," an honor she shares with her mom and Beyonce's collaborators, SaintJhn and WizKid.

Dr. Dre released from hospital after brain aneurysm

After nearly two weeks in the hospital, Dr. Dre has been discharged and is headed home.

On Jan. 15, the hip-hop mogul was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, but TMZ reported that doctors are still monitoring him very closely, as he still needs constant attention.

James Gourley/REX/Shutterstock

"There are medical professionals at his home who will monitor him 24/7 for the next few weeks to make sure he's okay," the webloid said.

Dre was rushed to the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm on Jan. 4 — all but two days of his hospitalization were spent in the intensive care unit.

Despite his release, doctors still don't know what caused his brain bleed. Still, there is hope that the worst is over, and sources told TMZ earlier in the week that a "bad outcome" isn't expected, but doctors have told Dre's family to stay cautiously optimistic.

It's not publicly known whether Dre had surgery, but it seems likely.

Of course, brain aneurysms are very serious and result in death about half of the time. The majority of those who survive a brain aneurysm suffer permanent neurological damage.

After news of hospitalization made headlines, the rapper posted an encouraging message on Instagram.

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," he wrote on Jan. 5. "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

While speaking to his pal Luke Bryan on an episode of Party Barn Radio, the "Minimum Wage" artists said he's determined to get in better shape before tying the knot with fiancée Gwen Stefani. In fact, he's looking for double-digit weight loss.

"I feel like if I say 10, I have to do it. So, 10. It's out there now, I can't let people down," he said. "I've readjusted all the mirrors in the house. So they look like you when you're taking a selfie from up above, because you can't even stand and look at myself in the mirror."

"So I've rearranged them or they're kind of angled down, looking down at me," he added. "So I'm looking up and it's not so bad."

It's not known when Blake and Gwen will eventually get hitched, but she's indicated that she doesn't want to get married during a pandemic

"It's like, Blake, why couldn't you have done it before," she mused to Jimmy Fallon earlier this month. "Now we can't have a wedding with the pandemic. It's like sitting around going, OK, drag it out more!"

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

During that same conversation, the "Hollaback Girl" singer spoke to Jimmy about the moment that her country singer beau finally popped the question after five years together

"Wasn't expecting it at the moment that it happened, at all," she said on "The Tonight Show" on Jan. 5. "Didn't have any idea, nobody knew. I think he had told my dad on my birthday about two weeks earlier, and I gotta tell you, I was sorta like, What's happening with us?"

She began to doubt that Blake would ever pop the question.

"It was kind of in my mind like, We've been together a long time now. What's going on? I was in that place in my head," she said.

Before the proposal, reports claim, Blake got the approval from Gwen's sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6, whom she shares with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

Adele's friend hints that new music is coming within weeks

We might be less than a month away from new music from Adele.

It's been over five years since Adele dropped "25," but the wait will be over soon, according to one of her friends.

Will Heath/NBC

In a chat with Grazia UK, comic Alan Carr said he's heard some of the unreleased music, and "it's amazing."

Adele's name was brought up when the "RuPaul's Drag Race" host was asked who of the following women would drop music in February: Adele, Cardi B or Rihanna.

"Adele, isn't it? I've actually heard some tracks on it," he said. "Oh my God, it's amazing — so amazing."

It's believed that Adele's album is finished, and it's been unofficially dubbed "32," as that's the age she was when it was recorded. Previous Adele albums have all been named after her age during recording.

Upon hearing the new songs, Alan recalled telling Adele, "That voice is like an old friend."

He continued, "There are some people in the charts who sound a bit like Adele and then when you hear Adele's voice, you go, 'Oh no, there's only one.'"

WireImage

In referring to Adele's massive weight loss, Alan was asked if the songstress' voice had "gone skinny."

"No, no, no," he said. "She's still got a chunky but funky voice — don't worry."

Adele, for the record, has stayed mum on her plans to release music. Many wondered if she might tease a new song during her hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" last year, but that didn't happen. Likewise, she hasn't posted on Instagram since that appearance.

"Look after each other and go easy on yourselves," she wrote on social media after thanking the cast and crew of the NBC show. "I'm going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out til next year."

Mario Lopez dishes on chat with Dustin Diamond after cancer diagnosis

Bonded by Bayside.

Getty Images

On Jan. 14, Dustin Diamond's reps confirmed that the former "Saved By The Bell" star has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. A few hours later, one of Dustin's "Bayside High" classmates reveled that he reached to the ailing actor.

"I connected with Dustin earlier this evening and although the news of his diagnosis is heartbreaking, we remain positive that he'll overcome this," Mario Lopez tweeted alongside two pictures from the nostalgic show. "Praying for him & his family and for a speedy recovery. God Bless."

On Jan. 11, multiple reports revealed that Dustin had been hospitalized after feeling uneasy and experiencing pain all over his body. He also discovered a lump in his throat. Dustin's medical team felt it was "likely" cancer, and on Jan. 14, TMZ reported that those fears were confirmed. Dustin, the webloid explained, has stage 4 cancer and is also experiencing pain from shingles.

His rep later confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Dustin, who famously played Screech, had already started chemotherapy.

"It's serious, but we don't know how serious yet," Dustin's rep told EW. "He's at an undisclosed hospital in Florida and will probably go home after treatments. We just want him to get well soon."

Jonathan Hordle/Shutterstock

Dustin's health issues come amid the recent revival of the sitcom on Peacock. Several of Dustin's former castmates star in the new show, but the actor who played Screech wasn't offered a gig, perhaps given his fallout with the majority of the cast over the years.

In 2009, he released a book titled "Behind the Bell" that painted a dark picture of the show, alleging drug use and backstabbing. Most of the cast spoke out against the book, calling it fiction. In 2014, Lifetime released a movie largely based on the book: "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story."

Dustin eventually said he didn't write the book and apologized for it.

There is buzz that Dustin might make an appearance on the revival. "They've been talking, so we're keeping our fingers crossed," his reps said.
