Another Duggar in trouble with the law for allegedly endangering minor

The hits keep coming for the Duggar family.

TMZ reported on Dec. 10 that Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter of the reality TV family, was recently charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, but the incident went largely under the radar.

The circumstances surrounding the charge are still unknown, but a court clerk confirmed that Jana was cited on Sept. 9, 2021. She's due in court next month.

The report of Jana's legal situation comes just one day after an Arkansas jury found her brother Josh Duggar guilty of two charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Josh was immediately taken into custody. He will be sentenced at a later date, but he faces up to 40 years in prison.

Washington County Sheriff's Office

The former "19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar was arrested by federal agents on April 29 (just a few days after his wife, Anna, announced her seventh pregnancy) for possession of child pornography. The disgraced reality TV star allegedly possessed material which depicted the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, KNWA reported.

In court testimony, a Homeland Security agent said the amount of child pornography allegedly recovered from Josh's property is "in the top five of the worst of the worst that I've ever had to examine."

After Josh's conviction, his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, said in a statement, "This entire ordeal has been very grievous. Today, God's grace, through the love and prayers of so many, have sustained us. Our hearts and prayers are with anyone who has ever been harmed through CSAM [Child Sexual Abuse Material]."

They continued, "In the days ahead, we will do all we can to surround our daughter-in-law Anna and their children with love and support. As parents, we will never stop praying for Joshua, and loving him, as we do all of our children. In each of life's circumstances, we place our trust in God. He is our source of strength and refuge. Thank you for your prayers."

Josh's team says he plans to appeal the conviction.

Kim Kardashian files to be legally single, despite Ye's pleas to reconcile

Kim Kardashian's life is headed in a new direction, as she's reportedly filed court documents to become legally single and shed her married name of "West."

The filing comes less than a day after Kanye West, who legally goes by the name Ye, publicly pleaded with her for a reconciliation during a concert.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Kim is asking a judge to declare her single while she and Ye continue to work out custody and property issues. The filing is quite common with high-profile divorces. It also signifies that Kim is ready to officially move on from her third marriage.

The timing is interesting. Kim attended her ex's concert in Los Angeles on Dec. 9 and heard him freestyle the lyrics to his song "Runaway." At the end of the song he sang, "Run back to me … more specifically, Kimberly."

Since Kim filed for divorce earlier this year, the duo has put up a united front for their four children. TMZ said the former couple is committed to co-parenting and have a custody agreement in place.

For months, Kanye hasn't hidden his feelings about his marriage. In August, he and Kim even walked hand-in-hand out of a listening party for his "Donda" album, which sparked reconciliation rumors. Last month he said "God" would bring them back together and referred to Kim in an interview as his wife, which she technically is in the eyes of the law.

The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star has seemingly moved on from Ye, as she's been linked to "SNL" funnyman Pete Davidson.

Padma Lakshmi recalls 'mortifying' experience of press outing identify of baby's father

Padma Lakshmi said is was "mortifying" back in 2010 when the press was speculating about the identity of her unborn child's father, especially since she wasn't completely sure who it was.

Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock

On a new episode of PEOPLE's podcast "Me Becoming Mom," the "Top Chef" host described the media attention as "icky."

"I was sort of between relationships without going into the specifics. It definitely complicated the situation, and as we know, our society is a patriarchal society, so I knew that it was not the ideal way, obviously, to be in the situation I was in," she said. "I was just happy. That stuff was certainly there. It was in the background, it was always like a white noise presence. It certainly was icky when the press started snooping around in various countries — not just America, but in India, England, Australia. At that time, it was splashed all over the newspapers and it was mortifying."

Still, Padma, who welcomed daughter Krishna Thea with Adam Dell, tried to keep things in perspective.

"It was inconsequential because the main event was that I was going to be a mom," she noted.

Padma, 50, and Adam began dating in 2009. However, she and Adam weren't exclusive, as she was also seeing billionaire Teddy Forstmann.

In her memoir, "Love, Loss and What We Ate," Padma said she didn't know the identity of Krishna's father for months. When she told both men that she was pregnant, Teddy had a visceral reaction.

"I saw his face go white, then beet red," she wrote in the book. "It was as if the room could not contain him, or as if his body could not contain his fury at the information he had just received."

After the paternity test revealed he was not the father, Teddy still offered to raise the child as his own.

"He wasn't going to leave my side," Padma wrote. "Maybe he didn't know if he could stay in a romantic relationship with me or not. I think neither of us knew what was going to happen but he was resolute in making sure I wasn't alone. He held my hand and he held it very publicly."

Willie Garson's son shares pics from 'And Just Like That' premiere

Willie Garson's son, Nathen Garson, celebrated the premiere of "And Just Like That" with the cast of the show, a moment that had to have been bittersweet.

The premiere of the highly-anticipated sequel to "Sex and the City" came less than three months after Willie, who played the beloved Stanford Blatch, passed away.

"What a wonderful trip and what an amazing time I got to have. Thanks @justlikethatmax for a wonderful time and for inviting me to enjoy the season premiere of And Just Like That! Go check it out on HBOmax," Nathen caption a series of images with Chris Noth, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Willie adopted Nathen back in 2009 when he was 7 years old.

On Sept. 21, the 19-year-old announced on Instagram that his father had died from pancreatic cancer. Prior to that, Willie had not publicly disclosed his illness.

Although Willie was a large part of "Sex and the City," his death is not addressed in the sequel.

"Nobody's dead," showrunner Michael Patrick King told the New York Times last week. "Because it wasn't charming. And I knew that the audience would know."

In announcing Willie's death on Instagram, he wrote, "I love you so much papa. Rest In Peace and I'm so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I'm so proud of you. I will always love you, but I think it's time for you to go on an adventure of your own. You'll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I'm glad you can be at peace now. You always were the toughest and funniest and smartest person I've known. I'm glad you shared you're [sic] love with me. I'll never forget it or lose it."

Jamie-Lynn Sigler's ex-husband sentenced in $300 million stock scheme

Jamie-Lynn Sigler's ex-husband was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison for his involvement in a $300 million tax scheme.

Abraxas Discala, who was married to the "Sopranos" star from 2003 to 2006, was also ordered to pay $2.5 million in restitution, Page Six reported.

Prosecutors said Abraxas artificially inflated shares of unstable stocks and sold them off as a high to investors. The stocks then all crashed.

Abraxas, who was once the actress' money manager and the former CEO of now-defunct OmniView Capital Advisors, was convicted of the scheme in 2018.

"Discala conspired to manipulate trading activity in penny stocks in furtherance of a scheme to defraud the securities market and investing public of millions of dollars," the US attorney for the Eastern District of New York said in a statement. "With today's sentence, Discala has been held accountable for his crimes and the harm he caused to investors."

Josh Duggar's cousin reacts to guilty verdict: 'Thank you Jesus'

Josh Duggar's cousin Amy Duggar King has never hidden her thoughts about his child pornography case, having recently said she hoped for a conviction.

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

On Dec. 9, she got her wish after an Arkansas jury found the "19 Kids and Counting" alum guilty of two charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Amy chose not to celebrate after the verdict. Instead, she thought of the victim's, Josh's seven children, and the mental health of those involved in the six-day trial.

"May the juror's and Judge Brooks seek healing/counseling from all that was exposed to them," Amy tweeted after the verdict. "May the children grow up with real Godly men as father figures who will guide them and protect them. May the people who were once in disbelief have their eyes opened for the first time."

Amy, who made sporadic cameos on the Duggar family's reality shows, continued in a follow up message, writing, "May the daughters who were abused feel validated. You are truly beautiful and worthy of love. May there be intense counseling / healing. May there be wisdom for all those involved on how to move forward."

She finished her tweet: "Thank you Jesus. Justice has been served."

As jury selection began in Josh's case, Amy hoped for a guilty verdict and urged the judge to give the "ultimate sentence."

Josh will learn his fate at a future sentencing, but he faces up to 20 years in prison for each count.

Washington County Sheriff's Office

In court testimony prior to the trial, a Homeland Security agent said the amount of child pornography allegedly recovered from Josh's property is "in the top five of the worst of the worst that I've ever had to examine." Authorities said Josh, the eldest of the Duggar children, had more than 200 images of "child sexual abuse material."

Amy wasn't the only family member deeply invested in the case. Josh's sister Jill (Duggar) Dillard and her husband, Derick Dillard, attended much of the trial. The couple has fallen out with her famous family over the past few years.

"We just wanted to, among other things, see the facts for ourselves," he told People magazine after the verdict, adding, "America is the best country to get justice."

One day before the verdict, Derick tweeted that he was "praying for justice this morning."

Blac Chyna accused of threatening, detaining woman in hotel room

Police are looking into an incident in which Blac Chyna allegedly threatened a woman and held her "hostage" inside a hotel room.

The Sun said the former "Rob & Chyna" star threw a party inside a room at her Sacramento, Calif., hotel on Nov. 27. During that party, an incident allegedly occurred that resulted in Chyna refusing to let a woman leave the room, the report claims.

Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock

Video shows the woman bolting out of the room after Chyna opens the door.

"Everyone was enjoying themselves; the drinks were flowing and the energy in the suite was real good," party attendee Ron Knighton told the British publication. "Suddenly out of nowhere Chyna just yelled at my friend to shut the f*** up…"

Chyna, the man alleges, threatened physical violence against him and his female friend.

"The vibe immediately changed so at that point we thought it was best to leave – but when I went to walk out she shut the door behind me and kept my friend in the room," he said.

Ron said he waited in the hallway for 20 minutes while hearing his friend's pleas to leave the room from the other side of the door.

After the woman rushed out of the room, Chyna could be heard telling them to stay in the hotel hallway.

"We aren't staying anywhere. We are leaving!" Ron insisted. "You crazy!"

Still, video shows Chyna and members of her entourage following Ron and his friend to the elevators.

Ron continued recording in the elevator as the woman sobbed about how "mean" Rob Kardashian's ex was.

"It was really strange because the evening actually started really well," Ron said, but then Chyna "wouldn't let her leave even though my friend was crying and shouting – she was being a total bully. I don't know what she was trying to achieve but it was just embarrassing and a very disturbing end to the night."

The woman involved in the incident called police after leaving.

"A dispute between two parties occurred, and the incident was resolved at the scene by the individuals involved. No injuries were reported," a police spokesman told The Sun. "The department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation remains active."
