Truth About Jennifer Aniston Helping Matthew Perry Get Healthy

There's a recurring storyline in the tabloids about Jennifer Aniston trying to help Matthew Perry get healthy, but it's completely fictional. Gossip Cop has debunked many variations of the theme. Here are a few wrong rumors.

Ron Galella, Ltd./WireImage

Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted NW for falsely claiming Aniston and the rest of the "Friends" cast were concerned about Perry's sobriety. The article was published after photos emerged of the actor looking a bit disheveled while taking a stroll in New York City. "Nobody would be surprised if [the 'Friends' stars] intervene and send him back to rehab," said a supposed source, adding that Aniston was "leading the charge." Perry's own spokesperson told us on the record that the report was fabricated. Although the actor has been open about his past issues with substance abuse, there's nothing to indicate he's off the wagon.

In February, Gossip Cop called out RadarOnline for wrongly reporting that Aniston and her "Friends" co-stars were sending Perry to rehab. The article was concocted after the actor tweeted about being "kicked out of therapy." The blog maintained that all of his former castmates were "united in their fears over Matt, as well as their shared mission to get him back on track." However, Perry later clarified on Twitter that he was referring to "one session" and was "back in therapy." Meanwhile, the actor's rep called the story "ridiculous."

Last September, Gossip Cop debunked a National Enquirer article claiming Aniston wanted Brad Pitt to help Perry get sober. The premise came on the heels of the "Friends" actor revealing that he had spent three months in the hospital after undergoing surgery for a gastrointestinal perforation. There was nothing to suggest that Perry's health crisis was due to substance abuse, but the tabloid maintained that Aniston wanted Pitt to intervene because he's been sober for a few years. Aniston's spokesperson assured us the scenario was totally made-up.

And finally, Gossip Cop busted the Globe last September for falsely claiming Aniston was staging an intervention for Perry with the help of their "Friends" co-stars. The publication said the actress was worried that Perry "could croak in six months if he doesn't get serious about his addiction problems and his health." In reality, Aniston didn't fear that the actor was on the verge of death, nor was she organizing an intervention for him. A rep qualified to speak on the actress's behalf told us the story was untrue. This ongoing saga surrounding Aniston getting involved in Perry's personal life is baseless.

Katharine McPhee Turns Down 'Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills'?

Katharine McPhee did not turn down a supposed offer to join "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. A spokesperson for the singer tells us she was never approached for the reality show.

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

"Katharine Snubs Housewives" reads a headline in the latest issue of OK! The accompanying article says Bravo execs wanted McPhee to replace Lisa Vanderpump, who's leaving the series after nine seasons. The magazine contends that the singer was thought of as a good replacement because she's married to David Foster, who was previously married to former "RHOBH" star Yolanda Hadid.

"Andy Cohen especially thought it would be a coup to get Katharine on the show," a supposed source tells the outlet. "It just screamed 'must-see TV.'" The alleged insider further contends that McPhee decided to turn down the offer after discussing the opportunity with Foster, who felt that the show "helped play into" his divorce from Hadid.

"In the end, she just didn't see it as the thing for her," adds the alleged tipster. "With 'American Idol,' she feels she's already done her time on reality TV." The questionable source adds, "She'd rather focus on her marriage than be tied down with drama."

The magazine hides behind an anonymous "insider" to sell its bogus story, but Gossip Cop reached out to McPhee's rep, who tells us on the record that it's untrue. The singer simply never received an offer to join the Bravo franchise. This report seems to have been concocted simply because she's very loosely connected to the show based on her marriage to Foster.

It's worth noting, Gossip Cop busted OK!'s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting last year that McPhee was in talks to join "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." That narrative clearly never panned out. This latest article seems to be backpedaling by maintaining that McPhee has "snubbed" the show. Just last year, however, she was said to be in negotiations for it. Neither premise is accurate.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop called out OK! earlier this year for falsely claiming McPhee and Foster were planning a $50 million wedding in Malibu. The singer and the music executive got married in London last month. It's fairly clear the tabloid's McPhee "sources" are either very unreliable or flat-out nonexistent. Regardless, we can confirm that the singer has never been in discussions for the "Real Housewives" franchise.

Miranda Lambert's Marriage 'On The Rocks'?

Miranda Lambert's marriage to Brendan McLoughlin isn't "on the rocks," despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. The spouses are going strong.

REX/Shutterstock

According to the National Enquirer, however, the relationship between the country star and the NYPD officer is in trouble because his family "doesn't like the fact that his whole life has been turned upside down." The outlet also maintains that Lambert was spotted "nursing drinks" alone in New York City last month while her husband was across town "with a bevy of babes in a Manhattan bar."

An alleged insider tells the magazine, "He came from a very macho profession and culture to a situation where he has no say in his own life because everything is controlled by Miranda and her money and her celebrity. He's been sucked into her vortex." The supposed source further contends that Lambert and McLoughlin, who've been married for less than a year, have had their fair share of "rocky moments," including "boozy fights" and giving each other the "silent treatment."

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Lambert, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us the magazine's article is fabricated. We're told the singer and her husband are very happy together. This past Monday, in fact, Lambert and McLoughlin goofed off for the cameras when paparazzi snapped photos of them holding hands while taking a stroll in New York.

The Daily Mail also posted photos from the couple's recent outing, noting that Lambert and her new husband looked "madly in love" while enjoying a day out together. Along with the pictures to prove it, the outlet noted, "They held hands tightly and laughed with one another on their stroll."

It's also worth mentioning, the spouses have been splitting their time between New York and Nashville, and it appears the arrangement is working for them. Just last week, Gossip Cop busted the Enquirer's sister publication, In Touch, for coming up with a similar story about Lambert turning to booze amid alleged marriage problems. The tabloid contended that the couple's "wildly different lifestyles" had taken a toll on their relationship. The premise wasn't true then and it's no more accurate now.

In May, Gossip Cop called out the Enquirer's other sister outlet, Star, for falsely claiming Lambert and McLoughlin were getting a divorce after just 122 days of marriage. That hasn't happened. These various articles concerning the state of the couple's relationship are baseless.

Robert Pattinson Unhappy With 'Batman' Salary?

Is Robert Pattinson unhappy with the salary he's getting for the upcoming Batman reboot? That's the false claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can set the record straight.

Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock

"R-Patz: Peeved Over Paycheck" reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. The accompanying article says the actor was hoping to score a major payday when he signed on to star as the Dark Knight, but he's "causing a stink" over supposedly making less than his peers in the industry who've played superheroes.

"Rob assumed he'd get more because he's paid his dues and has been working nonstop for more than a decade," a supposed source tells the magazine. "The fact that Chris Evans gets [more money] for playing Captain America in the Avengers film really bothers him, especially since the general assumption is Batman is a bigger franchise."

The alleged insider goes on to say that Pattinson is particularly annoyed because he "had to jump through hoops to even be taken seriously for the role." The questionable tipster adds, "He hasn't had to audition for anything in 10 years but had to do a screen test and attend meetings with studio bosses to get his foot in the door. He's only going to swallow this bitter pill because he knows there could be more films – and money – to come."

The tabloid's report simply isn't accurate. For starters, Pattinson's Batman salary hasn't been revealed by either Warner Bros. or any of the Hollywood trade publications. Star doesn't have any insight into how much the actor is making for the project. The Hollywood Reporter, however, did note that Pattinson's Batman salary was pre-negotiated before he officially won the role. The trusted entertainment outlet explained that decisions regarding "salaries, bonuses and even sequels" were put into place during screen test process, and the deal went into effect once Pattinson was officially cast.

Additionally, Pattinson has never been one to choose his roles based on a paycheck. In reality, the actor has avoided blockbusters and franchises in the years since the Twilight series ended. In a 2017 interview with GQ, Pattinson explained that he's more drawn towards art-house movies and working with filmmakers he finds interesting.

The actor has been embracing bigger films as of late, but his decision to do so isn't financially motivated. Pattinson is currently shooting Christopher Nolan's next movie, Tenet, an action epic revolving around the world of international espionage. When the project was announced, the actor explained in an interview hat he's "been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years," but made an exception for Nolan because he's the type of director "who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale." Pattinson clearly feels the same way about the upcoming Batman reboot.

This also isn't the first time we've had to debunk a story regarding the actor's casting in the comic book movie. Last month, Gossip Cop busted Star's sister outlet, Life & Style, for falsely claiming Armie Hammer was bad-mouthing Pattinson for getting the Batman role over him. This latest article surrounding the film is more nonsense.

Ben Affleck Dating Personal Chef?

Ben Affleck is not dating personal chef Gabrielle Coniglio, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the story. It's totally fabricated.

A Ware/REX/Shutterstock

"Ben's Cooking Up A Hot New Romance" reads a headline in the latest issue of NW. The accompanying article says the actor has hired a 28-year-old chef to get him on a vegan diet, but he's also been "getting saucy" with her. "She's impressed Ben in the kitchen, she listens to what he wants and has a lot of experience cooking vegan dishes," a supposed source tells the magazine. The alleged insider further contends that Affleck's neighbors recently saw Coniglio carrying groceries to his house in Brentwood while he was spending the afternoon with Matt Damon.

The outlet's article includes very few details about when and how this supposed relationship started. The tabloid's story is also based on claims from an anonymous "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Affleck's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that he's not dating Coniglio. The actor's rep didn't acknowledge whether or not she's even his personal chef, but we can confirm there's no romance between the two.

Additionally, NW has already proven to know very little about the actor's personal life. Just last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Affleck was pursuing a romance with Kate Beckinsale. The outlet contended that the actor was hitting on his Pearl Harbor co-star and planning to take her out on a date. The storyline was completely made-up.

Back in April, Gossip Cop called out the publication for wrongly reporting that Affleck was having a baby with then-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus. The ex-couple split shortly after we debunked the bogus story. In January, the untrustworthy magazine made up a ridiculous story about Jennifer Lopez dumping Alex Rodriguez to reunite with Affleck. The singer and the former MLB star got engaged two months later.

And last August, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner was taking him back for the sake of their kids. The exes finalized their divorce two months later. To say that NW has a poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about the actor's personal life would be an understatement. The tabloid's various narratives are consistently disproven by the passage of time. The same will follow suit for this latest article involving Affleck and the personal chef he's not dating.

Jordana Brewster, who starred in multiple "Fast & Furious" films with Paul, commented, "Beauty."

Meadow's uncle and Paul's brother Cody Walker commented "Bear! 😎."

Fans gushed over Meadow's stunning looks, while noting similarities between her and her beloved father, who died in a fiery car crash in 2013 at the age of 40. Meadow, Paul's only child, was 15 years old when her father passed.

Meadow has kept a low profile since that fateful day and didn't appear in last year's "I Am Paul Walker" documentary that featured much of his family.

"She's a reserved young lady. She's on the shyer, more reserved side," Paul Walker's brother Caleb Walker told E! News. "Maybe she needed a few more years, who knows. But we totally respect that. Obviously we would've loved to have her in it, but she wasn't ready."

Amber Portwood could lose 'Teen Mom' gig over alleged attack

Amber Portwood is likely to lose her "Teen Mom OG" gig if she's convicted in her recent domestic battery arrest.

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

The reality TV star is already "on thin ice," TMZ reports, for her July 5 arrest in which she allegedly wielded a machete during an argument with her boyfriend Andrew Glennon. Police said she eventually hit Andrew in the neck with a shoe while he was holding their 1-year-old son, James.

MTV plans to let the legal process play out, but will almost certainly drop her from the show if she's convicted in the domestic violence incident, TMZ noted. Amber has starred on the show for 10 years.

Amber has temporarily lost custody of James since the alleged attack.

The MTV star has been no stranger to the law over the years, as she's previously served jail time for hitting her ex, Gary Shirley, an incident caught on camera. She's also been arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the past. The network has always stood by her, but this would be different since a young child was involved.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department

The case initially made headlines after Amber was accused of striking Andrew on the neck with a shoe. However, last week, reports indicated the fight was much more explosive.

TMZ said that Amber and Andrew got in a "heated argument" in the early morning hours of July 5 that escalated to her allegedly attacking him with a machete. She never hit him with it, but she reportedly struck a door with it, and Andrew was on the other side of that door with their son.

When Andrew called police that evening, he claimed that their lives were in danger.

Prosecutors have charged Amber with three felony charges, including domestic battery, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and domestic battery in the presence of a child.

See Elle Macpherson's gorgeous sons all grown up

Elle Macpherson just did something she's never done before: She posed for a fashion photo shoot with her two gorgeous sons, Flynn and Cy Busson.

Tiffany Sage/BFA/REX/Shutterstock

The Australian supermodel decided to do it to mark some big birthdays. "The boys are coming of age, and [my health and wellness brand] WelleCo is turning 5, and I'm 55, so it's sort of this seminal moment in our lives," she told Vogue Australia for the magazine's August 2019 cover story. (Flynn just turned 21, and Cy just turned 16). "Vogue is an iconic brand, and we knew we'd be treated with respect. We've been asked for years."

Elle shared a slideshow of photos of her gorgeous boys on Instagram, and they both posted images from the shoot on their own social media accounts too.

But Elle and her sons' father — financier Arpad Busson, 56, from whom she split in 2005 (he went on to have a daughter with now-ex Uma Thurman) — always turned magazines down. "We kept the children out of the public eye. It was a decision that their dad and I made. We didn't think it necessary for them to be recognizable in public. Of course you can't stop paparazzi." Or, Elle adds, social media. "Now, with Instagram, the boys are public and they make their own choices."

While Cy is still a teen, Flynn now attends college in Boston where he's studying finance and real estate. He's also a pilot: According to Vogue Australia, he learned to fly at 16, earned his private license at 18 then went on to get his commercial license.

Flynn gushed about his mother — who long ago was nicknamed "The Body" — to Vogue Australia. "She is the best mother in the world, and I know everyone always says about their mum, but it really is true," he said.

Matt Baron/BEI/Shutterstock

"My mother has always been so incredibly devoted to me and my brother," Flynn added. "It has shone through everything from the way she chooses her jobs to the way she cooks dinner. I always knew we were her No. 1 priority, and I think that it's a very … I don't want to say it's a unique situation, but just from the conversations I've had with friends, I know that she's special, in the way she prioritizes us. Mum was always there picking me up from school. And even now, the stuff she does, even if it's literally just, 'You look tired. Drink more water.'"

https://www.instagram.com/p/BVKuHfLh4Xx/

Little brother Cy — who sometimes posts pics with his mom on Instagram — quipped, "[Or] drink more green juice.'" Added Flynn, "As much as, you know, that's annoying, it does show the level of devotion, right? But seriously, even when things haven't been easy, she put us first. I look up to her. My mother is a perfectionist, I don't think that's a secret. It's one of her greatest qualities, everything she does has to be up to scratch."

Kelly Clarkson says Taylor Swift should re-record songs amid Scooter Braun feud

Kelly Clarkson is clearly Team Taylor when it comes to the recent drama between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun.

Stewart Cook/REX/Shutterstock

Taylor accused the music manager of being a "manipulative bully" after he closed a $300 million deal with her former label, Big Machine, in June. In doing so, Scooter gained control over Taylor's old music catalog, which she had been trying to get back since leaving the record company.

Kelly took a pretty clear-cut stance in the public feud by suggesting Taylor should re-record her old songs for revenge in a new Tweet on Saturday, July 13.

"Just a thought," she tweeted directly to Taylor. "U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don't own the masters on exactly how U did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions."

The "Stronger" singer finished with a jab: "I'd buy all of the new versions just to prove a point."

Taylor took to Tumblr to express her disgust over Scooter last month, claiming that he had been bullying her from behind the scenes for years.

Among his other wrongdoings, she called him out for orchestrating her beef with Kim Kardashian over hubby Kanye West's song "Famous" and said ultimately, him getting the rights to her music was her, "worst nightmare."

"Now Scooter has stripped me of my life's work, that I wasn't given an opportunity to buy," she wrote. "Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it. This is my worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at 15 to someone for whom the term 'loyalty' is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says 'Music has value,' he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it."

While Scooter has yet to comment on Taylor's accusations, she's been quite vocal about her feelings.

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

On Wednesday, July 10, Taylor took the stage at Amazon's Prime Day concert in New York City with a suggestive rendition of her hit single, "Shake It Off," suggestively aimed at Scooter.

Without making any blatant statements, Taylor made sure to emphasize one specific line on the track, which calls out, "Liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world."

Jennifer Lopez 'working feverishly' to reschedule NYC concert shut down by blackout

Take that, blackout!

Jennifer Lopez was heartbroken when a blackout ruined her New York City concert at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, July 13, but she's doing everything in her power (pun intended) to get the show quickly rescheduled for disappointed fans.

"Gonna take more than a city-wide blackout to shut us down!" she captioned an Instagram video with good news on Sunday. "Rescheduling the show for Monday night!"

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz4ns-dAw1t/

Jenny sounded hopeful that her It's My Party Tour date could be changed, despite her busy schedule, as long as the lights actually come back on in time.

"Looks like if everything goes well and the power comes back on tomorrow," she explained in the clip, "[Madison Square Garden] is working feverishly to make this happen. I have said that I will come back on Monday before my show in Boston on Tuesday to do the show that we did not do tonight."

The blackout hit just as Jennifer was starting her performance and the crowd was swiftly forced to evacuate the venue.

With emergency announcements blaring overhead, she recorded a message backstage to apologize for having to cancel, but promised to make it up to her fans.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz4RNVNgnO7/

"I love you," she said in the clip. "I am so sorry that this happened in the middle of our moment this time. I'm going to get back to you guys as soon as I can with when we're going to reschedule the show."

On her way home, J. Lo returned to Instagram to further express her disappointment over the turn of events.

"I am devastated and heartbroken right now," she lamented. "I cannot tell you, on the second night of performing at MSG after such an amazing night last night, I just don't know what to say. I just want you guys to know that you're going to get your money's worth, that we are going to come back and we're going to do an amazing show for you."

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz4SVzeg2ui/

While Jennifer felt terrible about the mid-show cancellation, she also knew the situation was handled in the best way possible for everyone's safety.

She added, "I am so sorry that this happened. Obviously, it was beyond all of our control. The building handled it really well. They did the smartest thing for everyone's safety. So, I love you, I'm sorry and I will see you all very soon."

And despite the sudden evacuation, fans didn't let the blackout ruin their concert-going experience entirely that night.

Instead, some "JLovers" took to the streets outside of Madison Square Garden to keep the party and the music going!

Lea Michele honors late boyfriend Cory Monteith on sixth anniversary of his death

On Saturday, July 13, the "Scream Queens" actress shared a heartfelt tribute on Twitter to mark the sixth anniversary of Cory's death. The 31-year-old was found unconscious in a Vancouver hotel room, having suffered from an accidental drug and alcohol overdose.

"The light always remains," Lea captioned a serene seascape photo to commemorate her former flame, whose passing still came as a complete shock despite his public battle with substance addiction.

On the same day last year, she wrote a similar note: "There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone, the light remains."

Lea and Cory starred together on FOX's musical series "Glee" before striking up a romance off-screen in 2012.

She supported him even when his struggle with sobriety became difficult the following year, standing by his side during a month-long stay in rehab just months before his death.

Lea managed to find love again, having recently tied the knot to Zandy Reich, but she's kept Cory close to her heart by sharing memories of him on social media for special occasions, like his birthday.

"I know you're serenading everyone right now," she captioned a photo of Cory playing the drums in 2015. "We love you Cory! Happy Birthday."

In 2016, Lea made a more permanent declaration of love to the late star, getting a tattoo in honor of his "Glee" character's football jersey number.

"And one more for my Quarterback #5," she wrote to show off her new ink on Instagram.

After about a year of dating, Lea got engaged to Zandy, who's the president of AYR clothing company, in April 2018. They said their vows at Carneros Resort in California's Napa Valley the following year.

Will Smith toasts son Jaden with tequila shots for 21st birthday

Will Smith rang in son Jaden Smith's recent 21st birthday the right way … with shots of tequila, that is!

The "Aladdin" actor hosted a party for Jaden — who officially turned 21 on July 8 — at his home in Malibu and shared footage of their first father-son drink together during the festivities, along with moments from his sentimental toast.

"My son is the product of good parenting," Will wrote alongside a video on Instagram, featuring him and Jaden raising their first glass. "And GREAT Tequila!"

In the clip, Jaden's mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, suggests that they toast with tequila because, "That's how you got here!"

But before taking down the shots, Will made a touching speech with some funny, yet wise words for his growing boy, who dropped his new album called "Erys" earlier in the week.

"I'll tell you something my father told me on my 21st birthday," he began in another video. "Never break two laws at one time because you increase your chances exponentially of getting caught for both. So, only break one law at a time!"

On a more serious note, he added: "I'm really proud of you, just the way that you've grown in the past few years is what parents hope for. You take it seriously to contribute to the human family. You just make us proud every single day. So, here's to your 21st birthday today and here's to you being a full grown man. And, here's to you getting off my insurance."

Following his heartwarming words, Will and Jaden hugged it out and proceeded to party!

On hand at the bash were Jaden's half-brother, Trey Smith, sister Willow Smith and close family friend Jordyn Woods, who was recently exiled from the Kardashian-Jenner clan following her tryst with Tristan Thompson.

Her tight bond with the Smith family makes sense since she opted to share her side of the cheating scandal on Jada's series, "Red Table Talk," when the news broke.

"Forever," Jordyn captioned a photo with Jaden cutting his cake on July 10.

Ironically enough, Will ended up drinking way more than his coming-of-drinking-age son and started to get loose-lipped.

"Imma keep it real right now because I've kept from saying this since you were born," Will joked in another post after a few too many tequilas. "Most of the decisions, okay, that developed you were your mothers. I was at work, I wasn't home. Your mother did most of the work. I'm not gonna front."

"You good dad?" Jaden asks in the hysterical clip before keeling over in laughter over Will's drunken behavior.

We bet Will ended up with a mean hangover, but at least Jaden seemed to have a fabulous birthday.

Matt Damon tries to shoot an arrow at Chris Hemsworth; fails spectacularly

Sorry, Jason Bourne. Even trained assassins don't have the marksmanship required to take out Thor.

At least, that's our takeaway from a video Chris Hemsworth posted on Instagram on Saturday, July 13, that shows Matt Damon shooting an arrow at Chris, who catches the thing in mid-air.

Katie Jones/Variety/REX/Shutterstock

In the beginning of the clip, the guys can be heard bickering about one another's onscreen stunts, with Chris taunting Matt by saying the "Bourne" franchise star doesn't do his own stunts. (To be fair, Matt has said he does some stunts; others are done by a stunt double.)

As Chris teases Matt, Matt lifts a bow and suction cup arrow to his shoulder and lets the arrow fly right at the "Avengers" star.

Chris responds by simply raising one hand and snatching the arrow before it hits him — before chucking it straight at Matt's head, where it lands like a bull's eye. (To be fair again, Chris hails from Australia, land of Everything That Wants to Kill You. Matt was born outside Boston and went to Harvard, land of Ivy.)

After the cheers of off-camera onlookers die down, Matt can be heard making a faux-weepy crack about Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner's bow and arrow-wielding "Avengers" character.

"That's messed up, man," Matt says. "I never said Hawkeye wasn't cool."

Matt and Chris have a well-documented bromance that's extended to their families after years of hanging out together.

Back in 2014, Chris told GQ their friendship dates back to Chris' early days in Hollywood.

"We became friends around the time I started to work, and I've really benefited from watching how he handles himself," he said at the time. "Matt's just a normal guy who has the movie-star thing figured out."

People reports Matt and his wife, Luciana, frequently vacation with Chris and his wife, Elsa Pataky, and both couples' kids — sometimes in Australia. (Luciana and Elsa are so close they actually have matching tattoos.)

SplashNews.com

Speaking to People last year, Elsa gushed that Matt and Luciana are "such amazing people," adding, "We have three kids, they have four kids, so we ended up making the same plans because everything we do we do with our kids, so it's easier to do things with people that understand you."

"This song came out when I was 6 years old," Britney wrote alongside the clip, which showed her doing squats, fast side reaches and rowing with a resistance band.

"I was listening to it one day in my car, and called my manager and said 'hey this song is cool' … so I recorded it …. but forgot until my phone pulled it up the other day and I was like, damn forgot about that 🤦‍♀️," she continued in the post, adding, "Either way, great song!!!"

According to People, Brit's cover was a team effort remix with help from Italian singer, producer and DJ, Giorgio Moroder that landed in 2015.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about the track that year, Giorgio recalled that he was happily surprised to hear from the hitmaker when she approached him about collaborating.

"Britney came to my management company with the idea to do a particular song with me, which was interesting because usually it's the other way, with the producer offering a song," he said (via People).

In other recent social media posts pegged to fitness, Brit's shown off pics from a bike ride with her boyfriend Sam Asghari, shared how she avoids "bulking up" when she exercises and offered menu tips that she says have helped her lose weight.

The 37-year-old also remained mired in a battle to regain control of her personal life and finances as a judge looks into whether the conservatorship she's been under for years is still in her best interest.

Britney's father, Jaimie Spears, reportedly wants her to remain under the conservatorship, which he helms, and has been working to expand its jurisdiction to other states. Britney, meanwhile, reportedly wants more freedom.

Scarlett Johansson on casting backlash: 'I should be allowed to play any person'

Scarlett Johansson can't seem to decide whether it is or is not problematic for a cisgender woman to play a transgender man in on the big screen.

In a new interview with As If magazine (via Page Six), Scarlett revisits the issue in relation to her being cast in — and later, exiting from — "Rub & Tug," in which she was set to star as trans massage parlor owner turned crime kingpin Dante Tex Gill.

When her casting was initially announced last year, it came with plenty of backlash from members of the LGBQT+ acting community who called her out for taking one of very few opportunities male trans actors have to star in a movie that tells their story.

At the time, Scarlett initially responded to the criticism by citing award-winning cisgender actors who have played transgender roles. "Tell them that they can be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment," Bustle quoted her as saying.

She eventually changed her tune, though, and backed out of the movie.

"Our cultural understanding of transgender people continues to advance, and I've learned a lot from the community since making my first statement about my casting and realize it was insensitive," she said at the time.

In the As If interview, she seems to be back to Square One in her thinking, albeit with a more thoughtful explanation of her position.

"You know, as an actor, I should be allowed to play any person, or any tree, or any animal because that is my job and the requirements of my job," she told As If when asked about the casting shuffle.

"I feel like it's a trend in my business — and it needs to happen for various social reasons — yet there are times it does get uncomfortable when it affects the art because I feel art should be free of restrictions," she explained.

"I think society would be more connected if we just allowed others to have their own feelings and not expect everyone to feel the way we do."

Scarlett also pointed out the fact that what viewers ultimately see in the theater tends to veer pretty far off the original script, something actors have little if any say in.

"It's very rare that [the final cut] is what I thought I was making," she says. "Sometimes it's devastating, and sometimes it's a pleasant surprise."

"Rub & Tug" wasn't Scarlett's first brush with socio-cultural pressures in the context of filmmaking.

In 2015, she was cast in the remake of "Ghost in the Shell." Set in Japan, the movie's original main characters were Japanese. According to a report from Screencrush around the time of the reboot's 2017 release, the studio used post-production effects to make Scarlett and other white actors appear more Asian , which only heightened tensions about the so-called "whitewash" of her character.

It's unclear if she was referring to those post-production additions when she told As If that the finished product of a film rarely resembles what she thought she'd signed up for.

On Friday, July 12, the former "7th Heaven" star posted the most epic photo from a Limited Too modeling shoot in her youth, which features Jessica Alba.

In the photo, Biel, Alba, and three other girls, including designer Breegan Jane, model sweatshirts from the children's clothing line at a ski resort. Alba smiles widely while holding her ski, while Biel is a bit more shy, partially hiding behind another girl.

"I know it's the middle of summer, but THIS IS IMPORTANT," Biel posted on Instagram. "repost @JessicaAlba."

Alba first posted the photo in January 2018, which she geo-tagged to Mount Hood, Oregon.

"#Tbt this was one of my only "real" modeling jobs. I met @jessicabiel , I think I was 12 or 13… maybe 14? It was for Limited Too which was a kids line connected to The Limited. #90's," the Honest founder captioned the photo.

Biel explained to W Magazine in 2012 that she got her start in modeling as a pre-teen.

"When I was 11, I was in a competition sponsored by the International Modeling and Talent Association. You paid a certain amount of money and they taught you to walk a runway, present a comedic monologue, a dramatic monologue, a dance routine, and a song. My runway look was a one-piece bathing suit, a top hat, and a bow tie," Justin Timberlake's wife explained. "The competition was in L.A., and afterward I got a manager and an agent. I tried out for a billion things, and after three years, I was cast on the show 7th Heaven."

Carli Lloyd, who plays on the U.S. Women's National Team and won the World Cup earlier this month, continued her celebrations at Jennifer Lopez's concert on Friday, July 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Lopez, who is on her "It's My Party" tour, typically pulls a man out of the crowd for a special onstage experience, but in honor of Lloyd attending the show, she brought the 36-year-old two-time world champion up for a lap dance! Lopez first announced that the soccer champion, who is also a two-time an Olympic gold medalist, was in attendance at the concert. She then had her own champion athlete, fiance Alex Rodriguez, escort Lloyd from the crowd to the backstage area, according to reports.

"I've got a little present for you. Are you ready for this? I don't know if you're ready for this," Lopez said on stage. "I've got a little present for you. Actually, Carli, I got two presents for you."

Lopez then gave Lloyd a lap dance to the song "Birthday Sex," — fitting as Lloyd will turn 37 on July 16. The song then segued into Lopez's classic hit "If You Had My Love."

Earlier this week the 49-year-old shared her love for the USWNT on Instagram. "So proud of the World Champs #USWNT!!!! Fan since '99! #limitless #WomensWorldCup99 #RoseBowl #20thanniversary #letsgetloud!…," she captioned a video montage of top soccer moments between 1999 and today.

Reality stars Pauly D and Luann de Lesseps are collaborating on a song

Pauly D and Luann de Lesseps are a musical match made is reality TV heaven, and you'll soon hear about it — literally.

In a new interview with Page Six the "Real Housewives of New York City" star said she and the "Jersey Shore" fan favorite are collaborating to release a remix of her recent hit, "Feelin' Jovani."

Charles Sykes/Bravo

"We're still talking about it and working it out," she told the New York Post's gossip section. "With DJs, I like to hear their own version of how they would remix the song. We'll see what he comes up with."

Fans of Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" TV show may not be surprised, as the two spoke about working together during their joint appearance, despite the fact they just met.

"Andy was like, 'You two should collaborate on 'Feelin' Jovani,' and Pauly D was like, 'Yeah, I would love to do that,' and so the collaboration was born," she said. "Pauly D is very successful in his own right and he wanted to remix the song, so it's great."

Luann said she found Pauly to be "really charming."

"I'm definitely going to watch ['Jersey Shore']," she said. "I'm a fan because I met Pauly D. I really liked him. I didn't know what to expect."

Charles Sykes/Bravo

The new version of the song, she said, will be released "sooner than later."

If there's a new version of the music video — the first one featured "Housewives" stars Lisa Rinna and Cynthia Bailey — Luann wants to double down on Jersey.

"We gotta have Snooki and JWoww," she said. "They could be the Lisa Rinna and Cynthia Bailey of the video."

Helen Mirren cuts her own hair with kitchen scissors

Helen Mirren is still a cut above the rest.

While appearing on the British daytime talk show "This Morning" on Friday, Helen, 73, shockingly admitted that she's been known to use kitchen tools to style her hair, often giving herself a trim over the kitchen sink.

SERGEI CHIRIKOV/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock

"I said to my brilliant hair guy here, Stefan, 'The cut I have right now, Stefan, is something that I did with the kitchen scissors about a week ago in my kitchen,'" the Oscar winner said. "'So you know, maybe you could clean it up a bit for me?' So yes, I do cut my own hair."

Clearly, Helen's beauty regimen is far different from that of her peers.

"I have an issue with the word 'beauty.' Sometimes I clean up nice with a lot of help … So I want a new word instead of 'beautiful.' I think 'being' is a good word. My being tip is really to be curious and interested in other people and not think too much about yourself," she said. "Give your attention to other people and that has a way of making you, if you like, more beautiful in many ways."

Despite her DIY haircuts, one thing that Helen isn't as willing to sacrifice on is her makeup, telling the morning show, "I don't like the look of myself without makeup at all."

Reese Witherspoon shares amazing throwback pic with Selma Blair

Reese Witherspoon reached back into her vault of pictures to share an incredible throwback from the set of "Cruel Intentions" with pal Selma Blair.

Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images

"Look what I found in a buried time capsule labeled '1999' 😂," Reese captioned the 20-year-old Instagram snap that shows the women looking fresh-faced. "@selmablair and I share so many great memories together, from #cruelintentions to #legallyblonde she's always kept me laughing! 💫 #tbt."

It didn't take long for Selma to respond to her longtime friend, writing, "I love this. I would love to see you soon. You are such a driven force of power and it has changed me for the better. I always 🖤 you. Thanks for all the weekend food. Now I need some Draper James. I named my walker #sunny. Reminded me of your southern charm."

Selma then added a second comment, vying for a cameo on Reese's popular "Big Little Lies" show on HBO.

"Give me a spot in a doorway of #biglittlelies. No pressure. Just something great !! In the background. Just putting it out there buhbye 🤷‍♀️🙌🤩," the mother of one wrote.

Reese's Instagram picture clearly brought a smile to Selma's face, something she hasn't exactly been a constant thing as she continues to fight multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with last fall.

While Selma's been battling MS with grace, she acknowledges that it's a challenge more often than not.

"Here's a truth. I feel sick as all hell. I am vomiting and all the things which are not polite to speak of," she captioned a photo that showed her in bed in May. "The medical treatments take their toll. I am going to get through this. We do. This will pass. And to moms and dads who watch their kids sick on things we take to get better… I hold you."

She added, "I cannot imagine ever feeling ok again."

How 'Surviving R. Kelly' docu-series led to new indictments

The Lifetime series "Surviving R. Kelly" is partly responsible for the recent arrest of R. Kelly.

According to Page Six, a Homeland Security Investigations agent decided to investigate the singer after watching the disturbing docu-series in January.

"It was an agent on our trafficking unit who was watching that Lifetime show, 'Surviving R. Kelly,'" the Homeland Security Investigations source told the New York newspaper. "They were looking at the victims' interviews," he said, and realized that "this is so much bigger than [what] he has previously been charged with."

"It was just from watching these interviews in this documentary," added the source, who said that agents then traveled to interview the alleged victims from the documentary.

The embattled singer was arrested in Chicago on federal sex crimes charges in two states.

In the the 13-count indictment from the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Illinois, charges include child porn, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice.

In a separate five-count federal indictment out of the Eastern District of New York filed on Friday, R. Kelly is charged with racketeering and several violations of the Mann Act and allegations of forced labor.

The federal indictments accuse R. Kelly and members of his team of recruiting women and girls to engage in illegal sexual activity with the singer and later paying victims and witnesses to cover up his crimes.

"It's something that he's never been charged with before," the Homeland Security source told Page Six, referring to the racketeering charge.

R. Kelly's residence was searched on Friday while he was being held in a Chicago detention center.

"The charges arose from alleged conduct in the Northern District of Illinois as well as the Eastern District of New York," R. Kelly's attorney Steve Greenberg said in a statement. "The conduct alleged appears to be largely the same as the conduct previously alleged against Mr. Kelly in his current State indictment and his former State charges that he was acquitted of. Most, if not all of the conduct alleged, is decades old."

He continued, "Mr. Kelly was aware of the investigations and the charges were not a surprise. He had already assembled a team of outstanding federal litigators. He and his lawyers look forward to his day in court, to the truth coming out and to his vindication from what has been an unprecedented assault by others for their own personal gain. Most importantly he looks forward to being able to continue to making wonderful music and perform for his legions of fans that believe in him. A bail hearing will be held early next week, at which time Mr. Kelly hopes to be released from custody."
