Comedy star has 30 lesions on her brain, more stars with multiple sclerosis

Join us as we take a look at the celebrities who've been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system and occurs when the immune system attacks nerve fibers and sheathing in the brain and spinal cord…

Christina Applegate revealed she'd been diagnosed with MS in a 2021 post on Twitter. Since then, she's been increasingly vocal about her experience, opening up in interviews and on her "MeSsy" podcast with co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also suffers from MS. That drive to share comes in part from Christina's breast cancer battle, she said in a March 2024 episode of Dax Shepard's "Armchair Expert" podcast.

The actress said she gets frustrated when she hears cancer survivors feign positivity, knowing she was dishonest with herself and others about how she felt after undergoing a double mastectomy in 2008. Now, she can only be real when it comes to discussing her health battle — including symptoms like the 30 painful lesions she has on her brain and how "mad" she is about her diagnosis.

"When I had breast cancer at 36 years old, I went out and I was the good girl talking about, 'Oh, I love my new [breasts]!' — that are all scarred and f***** up. What was I thinking? My first interview was with Robin Roberts when I had cancer and I'm sitting there lying my a** off about how I felt," she recalled.

After the interview, the "Married… with Children" alum "fell into the wall and sobbed because it was a lie," she said. "It was me trying to convince myself of something, and I think that did no service to anyone," she explained. "Yes, I started a foundation right away. Yes, I did all the things I had to do. And we raised millions of dollars for women to get MRIs who were at risk. Yes, we did a good thing, but at the back of it, I was taking off my bra and crying every night, and I wish that I had said that."

In a 2022 interview with The New York Times promoting the third and final season of her hit show "Dead to Me," the Emmy winner revealed that the Netflix series took a five-month production break so she could focus on her health amid her battle with MS. "There was the sense of, 'Well, let's get her some medicine so she can get better.' There is no better. But it was good for me. I needed to process my loss of my life, my loss of that part of me," Christina said, adding that she's angry and is "never going to accept" her diagnosis, which followed mobility issues.

She further revealed that she depended on a wheelchair to navigate the show's set, struggled to shoot on warmer days and was unable to walk or stand without support. "If people hate [the new season], if people love it, if all they can concentrate on is, 'Ooh, look at the cripple,' that's not up to me. I'm sure that people are going to be, like, 'I can't get past it.' Fine, don't get past it then. But hopefully people can get past it and just enjoy the ride and say goodbye to [the characters]."

In 2016, "The Sopranos" alum Jamie-Lynn Sigler publicly shared that she'd been secretly living with multiple sclerosis for 15 years at the time. "I can't walk for a long period of time without resting. I cannot run. No superhero roles for me," she told People magazine. "Stairs? I can do them, but they're not the easiest. When I walk, I have to think about every single step, which is annoying and frustrating."

In 2019, Jamie-Lynn, who has two children with husband Cutter Dykstra, penned an essay for Shondaland.com in which she said that MS has made her recognize how strong she really is. "MS — any chronic illness, really — becomes your whole family's disease, not just your own. It affects our daily choices, and while sometimes I resent that, it has also made me see how strong I am," she wrote. "I am there for [my kids] each and every day."

Actress Arleen Sorkin — the original voice of the DC Comics character Harley Quinn and a star on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" — died in August 2023 at 67 years old after a long battle with multiple sclerosis, a rep for her husband, television producer and screenwriter Christopher Lloyd, confirmed to Entertainment Weekly.

"We will always remember our dear Arleen for her immense generosity of spirit," her family said in a statement. "Talented, yes, and dogged, too, as evidenced by her tenacious, decades-long fight with a terrible disease. But more than that, she was a loving presence in the lives of her two boys, Eli and Owen; her mother, Joyce; her brothers, Robert and Arthur; and the countless other children, old and young, whom she took under her beautiful wing over the years.

"It's a sad day for us, but a joyous one, too," her family added, "knowing how many people today are summoning her memory and smiling."

In 2018, Selma Blair publicly shared that she'd been diagnosed with MS. A year later, she arrived at the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party and walked the red carpet with a cane.

Since then, the "Cruel Intentions" and "Legally Blonde" actress — who competed on "Dancing With the Stars" in the fall of 2022 but had to drop out during week 5 after doctors determined her body had "taken a hit" and the exertion had become "way too much for the safety of my bones," Selma explained — has been incredibly candid about living with the disease and has given fans an inside look at her life in her book "Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up," which was published in 2022.

"Living with MS is not as bad as I thought it would be. It's also way worse, she wrote, as reported by The Guardian. "My particular experience with this disease is that it has affected every inch of my body, from scalp to marrow. If I stand up too quickly, I fall. If I'm triggered by anything where I don't know the outcome, I can't speak. I sweat through my clothes, but I'm freezing."

She continued, "If I don't take my meds, I cannot feel my body. I don't know if I'm sopping wet or getting frostbite. Without my meds, I also lose the ability to speak. When I'm in a flare, I sound like a tantrum-throwing toddler, distraught and gasping for breath. I sometimes choke when I eat. I am sometimes incontinent."

Jack Osbourne was just 26 when he was diagnosed with relapse-remitting MS in 2012. The news came just weeks after his first child, daughter Pearl, was born. Nearly a decade later, the former MTV reality TV star told People magazine that he was feeling "great" despite his diagnoses. "I'm feeling really, really well, you know, I haven't had any significant MS flare-ups in a long time. I exercise a lot. I do a bunch of jujitsu. I'm great."

Former talk show host Montel Williams revealed his MS diagnosis in 1999. At the time, he'd been living with the disease for 20 years. "I don't consider myself a patient. I'm a survivor," he said during the launch of "My MS: Second Act" in 2019. "It doesn't make me any more special, but it's given me the opportunity to share with so many others who also suffer from MS." Every time he was able to share his story, explained Montel — who founded The Montel Williams MS Foundation to help other survivors — "I got feedback from people who said it made a difference in their lives… It wasn't like I had changed that much from before the diagnosis. But I also realized that by not being alone, by talking about it and sharing my experiences with others, I found people in similar circumstances."

In October 2022, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Emma Caulfield Ford — who celebrates her 51th birthday on April 8, 2024 — revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that she was diagnosed with MS 13 years earlier. "I woke up one morning and the left side of my face felt like there were a million ants crawling on it," the "WandaVision" and "Agatha: Coven of Chaos" actress said. "It was like an out-of-body experience… I'm like, 'No, that's not possible.' I'm like, 'What are you talking about?' [The doctor] was very matter of fact about it. It was literally a kind of nightmare."

The "WandaVision" actress initially hid her condition from those she worked with because she "didn't want to give anyone the opportunity not to hire me." She explained, "There are already plenty of reasons to not hire people, reasons most actors don't even know. 'You look like my ex-girlfriend… You're too short. You're too tall. You look mean. You look too nice. You don't have the right color eyes.' I knew in my bones that if you talk about this, you're just going to stop working. That's it." Despite the challenges of the disease, Emma's spirits were high. "Truthfully, my attitude is not crumbling under the fear of 'what if' or 'what can,' or 'what has' for other people," she said. "I just have to keep going."

Comedian Richard Pryor was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1986. He lived with the increasingly debilitating disease for nearly 20 years, until he died in 2005 following his third heart attack. "MS is a very strange disease. I didn't know anything was wrong at first, the s*** just crept up on me," the lauded comic once told Entertainment Weekly, adding that "The MS really started going downhill in 1990. … We take so much for granted, but man, lose the movement of your legs and you begin to take a closer look at life."

Ann Romney, the wife of U.S. Senator Mitt Romney, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998. An advocate for MS research, the former first lady of Massachusetts established the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston in 1999.

Oscar-nominated actress Teri Garr felt MS symptoms nearly 16 years before she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in 1999. She went public with her diagnosis in 2002 when she appeared on "Larry King Live," saying, "When things slowed down, it was either the MS or that I'm a stinking actress, so I chose to believe it's the MS… There's definitely fear and misunderstanding out there about what MS is, and that's one of the reasons why it's so important to me to go out and talk about it."

Father-and-son singers Alan Osmond and David Osmond are both living with multiple sclerosis. Alan, a member of the famed family musical group The Osmonds, has primary-progressive MS, which is a less common type of the disease. David, who's performed as a member of the Osmond Brothers Second Generation, has the most common form: relapse-remitting MS. "It took me some time before I was ready to take an active approach to treating MS. I eventually realized that I was just coping and not doing everything I could to actively manage the disease," David told MS Focus Magazine. "Treating relapsing MS early is a crucial part of managing it… Everyone's experience with relapsing MS is different, so I would encourage anyone living with the disease to talk with their doctor about which treatment option would be best for them.

Canadian R&B singer Tamia was diagnosed with MS in 2003. The "Into You" and "Officially Missing You" singer first felt symptoms around the same time her husband, former NBA player Grant Hill, was dealing with a knee injury. "Initially, I thought I was not going to tell anyone because I didn't know exactly what it was," she told Jet magazine. "I didn't want anybody to take it as my being weak or anything. I just didn't want to tell anyone because I didn't have a lot of information on it." The mom of two has since become more vocal about living with the autoimmune disease. "Ultimately one of the reasons that I could bounce back and get a grasp on my health right now is because I found it early. It's important to know your body. If the doctors keep sending you home, keep going back until you get the answers that you need. That's what I did."

In 2019, Everclear rocker Art Alexakis penned an open letter to his fans revealing his MS diagnosis. The singer-guitarist discovered he had MS three years earlier following a car accident. He underwent a series of MRIs and other tests for the tingling and numbness he felt in his arm and was later told he has relapse-remitting MS. "The more I found out about MS, the more a lot of things started making sense, he explained. "It explains why I have had balance and gait problems for the last 10 years, it helps explain why I have had a higher sensitivity to heat and cold, and why I don't have the energy, vigor and razor sharp memory that I had 10 years ago. I thought it was just me getting older."

Trump rants about 'fire sale' of his properties while failing to meet $464 million bond

Donald Trump is having some money issues.

In February 2024, Judge Arthur Engoron ordered the former president to pay $464 million in his New York civil fraud case after he was found liable for overvaluing his real estate holdings for better rates. Now, he's having a hard time finding an insurance company to underwrite his bond.

In a new court filing, the former president's attorneys said Trump has approached 30 underwriters to back the bond, but they all declined. Obtaining a bond for that amount — even for someone who proudly says he's a billionaire — is "a practical impossibility," his lawyers said. As news of Trump's money troubles surfaced, he took to Truth Social to rant about the judgement and the judge.

"Judge Engoron actually wants me to put up Hundreds of Millions of Dollars for the Right to Appeal his ridiculous decision. In other words, he is trying to take my Appellate Rights away from me. Nobody has ever heard of anything like this before," Trump claimed on March 19. "I would be forced to mortgage or sell Great Assets, perhaps at Fire Sale prices, and if and when I win the Appeal, they would be gone. Does that make sense? WITCH HUNT. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!"

Amid his financial problems, several top names took to social media to sound off… and Trump continued to post messages on Truth Social attacking Judge Engoron as well as New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Net worth is completely different than cash in the bank. We were in a zero interest rate environment for a long, long time. So keeping cash in the bank or even money markets was dumb. In fact, searching for yield is what killed small banks last year. Also dumb was keeping interest rates that low for that long. Something Trump demanded more of.

So you can argue that Trump put himself in this situation by making sure that the only way to grow his net worth was non cash investments. You can also argue Trump sucked at growing his net worth which led to him putting himself in this position by lying to banks about his assets. There is only one reason to lie on a loan application – you have to.

On a more macro basis, Ted. Even if rates were along a long term trend line for the past ten years, few people are keeping more than 45 percent of their assets in liquid assets. And as far as the bond companies Trump's assets are mostly interests in commercial real estate and foreign assets. No bond company is loaning against them in this commercial real estate market, if ever."

Rocket with satellite bound for the moon launches in China: All the best pictures

The space race continues! One week after SpaceX launched another test flight of the Starship rocket NASA plans to use on lunar missions, China launched a satellite designed to communicate with lunar landers on the far side of the moon.

Relay satellite Queqiao-2 blasted off aboard a Long March-8 rocket in China's Hainan province at 8:31 a.m. Beijing time on March 20, according to the China National Space Administration. The satellite will reportedly replace its predecessor, the Queqiao-1, in orbit around the moon ahead of China's scheduled 2024 mission to send the Chang'e-6 spacecraft to the moon's far side.

In 2018, China became the first country to land on the far side of the moon when its Chang'e-4 successfully arrived on the moon's previously unseen side. Since the far or "dark" side of the moon never faces Earth, satellites are needed to relay information back to the ground station from lunar rovers there.

On March 20, the Long-March 8 carrier rocket spent 24 minutes en route to its destination before dispatching the satellite, according to the South China Morning Post. The launch mission was deemed "a complete success" by the China National Space Administration, the outlet reported.

Back in 1989, Patrick Swayze charmed audiences as a bouncer and fighter with a heart of gold in the action flick "Road House." On March 21, 2024, Prime Video released a new take on the film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, professional fighter Conor McGregor (who steals every scene he's in), Lukas Gage, Billy Magnussen and more.

Amazon's streaming service sums up the film — which scored better reviews than many feared a remake might — like this: "'Road House' stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter trying to escape his dark past and his penchant for violence, in this adrenaline-fueled actioner.

"Dalton is barely scraping by on the reputation that still precedes him when he is spotted by Frankie (Jessica Williams), owner of a roadhouse in the Florida Keys. She hires him to be her new bouncer in hopes of stopping a violent gang working for crime boss Brandt (Billy Magnussen) from destroying her beloved bar.

Rachel Uchitel, the woman who infamously had a longtime affair with Tiger Woods, became the subject of Donald Trump's ire after she turned down his invitation to appear on "The Apprentice," she reveals on her new "Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel" podcast.

Tiger's mistress said Trump soon denied he'd ever spoken to her, but she later attended a party at the future president's Florida home, and he acted like he was in "eighth grade" with his antics, Rachel said, as reported by Page Six, which got an early listen to the podcast in March 2024.

On her "Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel" podcast, the former nightclub host said Donald Trump contacted her in the midst of her scandal with Tiger Woods in 2009.

"He called me personally when I happened to be in the middle of my scandal and my name was the most famous name … probably in the world for a good hot minute," she said, referring to the world learning of her affair with the golf legend.

The purpose of Trump's call was to invite Rachel to be on "The Apprentice."

Rachel Uchitel initially agreed to do "The Apprentice," but she soon turned it down because she "felt like it was a bad idea," she said on her new podcast in March.

"I backed out and instead I went on 'Celebrity Rehab' because I felt a connection with Dr. Drew," she explained.

_

According to Rachel Uchitel, Donald Trump was miffed that she rebuffed him and told the press he didn't "even know" her and had never spoken to her.

"What an a******. It was because I chose someone else over him," Rachel said on her podcast.

Shortly after, Trump called her to "apologize" and invite her to his New Year's Eve dinner at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

However, he wasn't about to let her forget her past.

While attending the party at Mar-a-Lago, Rachel Uchitel noticed a man walking around trying to troll her.

"[Donald Trump] hired someone that was a Tiger Woods impersonator to walk around the room and try and get a photo with me," she said on her podcast. "I mean, how dumb, like, we're talking about someone in, like, eighth grade."

With King Charles III sidelined by cancer treatments back in England, Queen Camilla headed to Northern Ireland for an official visit — solo — in March.

The monarch's wife of nearly 19 years attended an event to mark World Poetry Day and met some of the British country's artisan and family producers including owners and staff from Coffey's Butchers Knotts Bakery and Arcadia Delicatessen.

She also shared an update on the king's health, telling a shop assistant, "He's doing very well. He was very disappointed he couldn't come," HELLO! magazine reported.

The Academy Awards honor the year's biggest achievements in filmmaking, but the 2024 Oscars also featured some major music moments: All five nominees for best original song had their turn in the spotlight this year.

Ryan Gosling brought the Kenergy to "I'm Just Ken," while Billie Eilish performed "What Was I Made For?" from the "Barbie" movie (again). A group of indigenous performers made history with their anthem from "Killers of the Flower Moon." A five-time Grammy winner honored his wife. A pop star brought the heat. And an opera superstar shared the stage with his son while honoring the film professionals we lost in the past year.

But which music moment was the one that had everyone talking?

No. 6: Becky G, "The Fire Inside" from "Flamin' Hot"

Becky G brought the heat to the 2024 Oscars with her performance of "The Fire Inside" from "Flamin' Hot," which Diane Warren wrote.

She took the stage solo, emerging from the dark in a midriff-baring all-black ensemble (and a jaw-dropping 100-carat diamond necklace from Zales honoring the brand's 100th anniversary — see it next) as a circle of flame blazed on the screen behind her. (Unfortunately, the backdrop proved to be distracting, making us think of the Eye of Sauron from the "Lord of the Rings" franchise… which probably wasn't the point!)

As the singer-actress launched into the chorus, a girls choir joined her on stage. The girls donned white button-down shirts with red trousers, leaving Becky looking somewhat out of place in her bralette, opera gloves and ruffled duster.

Still, the vocals were flawless in this short but sweet performance.

No. 5: Jon Batiste, "It Never Went Away" from "American Symphony"

Jon Batiste brought a tear to our eyes with his rendition of "It Never Went Away" from his Netflix documentary "American Symphony," which chronicled a high point in his carer that coincided with his wife's leukemia battle.

As he sang while playing a grand piano, scenes from iconic love stories — "Shakespeare in Love" and "Brokeback Mountain" among them — played across the image of a full moon on the screen behind him.

As he belted out the final notes, video from his 2022 nuptials played — a fitting tribute to his missus and muse, Suleika Jaouad.

No. 4: Billie Eilish and Finneas, "What Was I Made For?" from "Barbie"

On the red carpet preceding the 2024 Oscars, Billie Eilish previewed the "simplistic" performance of "What Was I Made For?" from the "Barbie" movie that she and brother Finneas would deliver later in the evening: "It's simple and it's minimal and it's nice," she said.

Yet the star siblings managed to pull off a lovely surprise: As Billie whisper-sang her way through the ballad, accompanied by her big brother on piano, a curtain opened to reveal an orchestra playing behind them. It added an extra oomph to the number, which Billie and Finneas just performed a month earlier at the 2024 Grammys.

The duo ultimately won the Oscar for best original song for "What Was I Made For?" — which also won two Grammys: song of the year and best song written for visual media.

Billie and Finneas previously won an Oscar for their song "No Time to Die" from the Bond movie of the same name.

Famed opera singer Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo Bocelli, handled the Oscars' "In Memoriam" segment, delivering a flawless duet of "Time to Say Goodbye" that was kicked off by a string quartet.

As the music built — and more and more ballet dancers took the stage — a full orchestra joined in. There wasn't a dry eye in the house by the time the father-son duo belted out the final notes.

Composer Scott George made history at the 2024 Oscars: He's the first indigenous person to score an Oscar nomination for best original song — for "Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)" from "Killers of the Flower Moon" — as well as the first member of the Osage Nation to earn an Academy Award nomination.

He may not have taken home top honors, but he certainly delivered an award-worthy performance of the song from the Martin Scorsese-helmed drama: George joined the Osage Tribal Singers for a trimmed-down rendition of the song during the awards ceremony. The group formed a drum circle with 10 men keeping beat as nine women stood behind them dressed in a spectacular rainbow of traditional Osage robes. As they sang, 10 Osage dancers performed behind them, forming the outer circle.

With the orange lights encircling them, as well as the yellow sphere projected onto the screen behind them, George and the Osage Tribal Singers perfectly evoked an Oklahoma sunset.

No. 1: Ryan Gosling, "I'm Just Ken" from "Barbie"

Ryan Gosling brought the house down with his kenergetic performance of "I'm Just Ken" from the "Barbie" movie. He started from the audience, clad in a fantastic all-pink ensemble, and sent "Barbie" co-star Margot Robbie into a fit of giggles as he shook his head at her while singing that he's "always number two" — behind her Barbie, of course.

He then placed his black cowboy hat on his sister's head and made his way to the stage, where he joined a fleet of tuxedo-clad dancing Kens — including "Barbie" co-stars Simu Liu, Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa and Kingsley Ben-Adir — as well as "I'm Just Ken" co-writers Mark Ronson, who played a pink guitar, and Andrew Wyatt, who tickled the keys from behind a pink piano.

As the music built, Ryan karate-chopped pink planks, spun through the air while several Kens lifted him above their heads and vibed with Slash, who made a surprise appearance to contribute some of his signature guitar shredding. (See Slash next…)

As the number came to an end, Ryan returned to the audience, where he handed over the mic to the women of "Barbie" — Margot and America Ferrera, plus director Greta Gerwig. He also briefly passed the mic to his "La La Land," "Gangster Squad" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love." co-star Emma Stone, who later joked that she broke her dress while singing along to the '80s power ballad-inspired track.

Ryan sang the final notes as pink fireworks erupted across the stage behind him.

Amid reconciling with his pregnant wife following a cheating scandal and claims he sexually assaulted multiple women — which he's denied — Grammy-nominated country singer Jimmie Allen secretly welcomed twins with another woman: Amari and Aria, who were 9 months old when Jimmie publicly announced the news in March 2024.

The big reveal came when he posted snapshot of all six of his children to his Instagram Story. "I have 6 kids. I love each one of them. I refuse to let anyone make me feel ashamed of any of my children. The only opinion I care about is theirs," he wrote. Up until that moment, it was believed that he had four children.

On May 17, 2023, Jimmie Allen posted "this too shall pass" on Instagram. While he didn't explain why he shared those words, it seems logical that he was referring to a lawsuit that was filed by his former day-to-day manager accusing him of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking and emotional distress. From the sound of it, many are not giving Jimmie a pass, despite his hopes.

Jimmie's professional problems began on May 11 after the woman, who filed under the name Jane Doe, detailed several alleged assaults and groping incidents — including some she says took place in cars and hotel rooms, often when she and Jimmie were alone and traveling on work trips — that happened between 2020 and 2022, a time during which Jimmie was married. The "Best Shot" singer admitted to a two-year affair but claimed everything was consensual. Still, in the immediate aftermath of the allegations, many companies and organizations linked to Jimmie began keeping their distance.

Then, on June 9, a second woman came forward to claim Jimmie sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel room and surreptitiously recorded them being intimate without her permission.

Jimmie Allen went public with an apology to his wife for "humiliating" her with what he regards as an affair with his former day-to-day manager — which that woman has characterized as sexual assault, something Jimmie denies. "I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair," he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post on May 18. "I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something that she did not deserve at all."

He added, "I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father. I'm working on becoming a better person that my kids can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me." The "Best Shot" singer, who is currently expecting another child with Alexis, continued, "This business takes so much from you. It's full of temptations that can cripple you and ruin everything you've built. I'm ashamed that I wasn't strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer be a victim of my weaknesses." In closing, Jimmie urged other to "seek help" when needed. "Don't be afraid of your weakness, surround yourself with people that WILL help you."

Another one. On June 9, 2023, a second woman identified as Jane Doe 2 filed a lawsuit claiming that Jimmie Allen sexually assaulted her. She said she randomly met the singer on an airplane in 2022. After Jimmie got her phone number, he pursued her for two months. After assuring the woman that he and his wife were separated, the duo met up in Las Vegas. There, she said, she was sexually assaulted. The woman acknowledged that she consented to sex initially but then asked Jimmie to stop several times; he didn't, she claimed. In addition, the woman alleged Jimmie secretly recorded the encounter. "Allen sexually assaulted Jane Doe 2 in his hotel room and then passed out," the lawsuit reads. "Extremely upset by the assault, Jane Doe 2 was leaving the hotel room when she discovered that Allen had surreptitiously and, without her consent, placed his cell phone in the closet facing the bed and had been videotaping the entire event." According to Variety, the woman took the phone, flew home, turned the device into the authorities and filed a police report. She's suing the Grammy-nominated singer for battery, assault, invasion of privacy and emotional distress.

Elizabeth Fegan, who represents both Jane Does, told Variety in June 2023 that she'd been approached by more Jimmie Allen accusers. "We have spoken to more women, and I expect that there will be more lawsuits," she said.

In the wake of the woman's claims, Jimmie attempted to clear his name…

On July 13, 2023, Jimmie Allen countersued Jane Doe 2, claiming the sex was consensual — and so was videotaping the encounter. In legal docs, Jimmie agreed with her story regarding how they met. But he alleged the woman said she was "fine" with the sexual encounter being filmed. In his countersuit, he went on to claim the two had consensual, unprotected sex, and the camera was always in plain view on a shelving unit at the foot of the bed. Jimmie fell asleep after the sex. Upon waking up, he noticed that both the woman and his phone were gone. The woman turned the phone over to police, and he still doesn't have it back, he says. In maintaining his innocence, he added, "As the son and brother of rape victims, and the father of daughters, these false claims are extremely hurtful to me and everyone around me."

Jimmie Allen's record label, Stoney Creek Records, suspended the singer after the initial lawsuit was filed. "In light of today's allegations against Jimmie Allen, BBR Music Group has decided to suspend all activity with him, effective immediately," the label said in a statement on May 11, 2023. Stoney Creek Records is a part of BBR Music Group.

One day after the first sexual abuse lawsuit was filed, Jimmie's management company, The Familie, announced it was suspending its relationship with the star. "Given the nature of the allegations in the lawsuit filed on Thursday, The Familie has decided to suspend management activities with Jimmie Allen effective immediately," it said in a statement.

CMAFest in Nashville — one of country music's biggest annual events — dropped Jimmie Allen from the lineup on the heels of the sexual assault accusations in 2023. The CMA-winning artist was set to play Nissan Stadium on June 11.

_

In lockstep with Jimmie's Allen's record label and management company, the Grammy nominee's booking agency, United Talent Agency, also decided to step back. "We have suspended our representation of Jimmie Allen due to the recent allegations against him, which we take seriously," a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023.

Jimmie Allen was set to give the commencement address at Delaware State University on May 12, 2023, one day after the first sexual abuse lawsuit was filed. He dropped out. University officials said they were "notified by Jimmie Allen, the scheduled keynote speaker for its May 12 undergraduate commencement, that he will be unable to participate in the ceremony…"

Jimmie Allen's partnership with ice cream company The Frozen Farmer seemingly ended in the midst of the sexual abuse lawsuit fallout. Back in March 2023, the country singer partnered with the company — which once scored a deal on "Shark Tank" — for its Miss Angie's Peach Cobbler Frobert. The sweet treat was inspired by a recipe from Jimmie's mom, Miss Angie. TMZ noted that neither Jimmie's likeness nor the dessert is anywhere on the company's website anymore.

Jimmie Allen's publicist at Full Coverage Communications parted ways with the Grammy-nominated artist in May 2023 after the initial sexual abuse scandal made headlines.

On the personal front, Jimmie Allen's estranged wife, Alexis Allen, announced on Mother's Day 2023 that she and the singer were expecting a baby boy later in the year. Weeks earlier in April, Jimmie and Alexis made two big announcements in the same statement, letting fans know that they'd separated and were expecting a third child. Two weeks later, Jane Doe filed her abuse lawsuit.

In September 2023, Jimmy Allen and Alexis Gale welcomed their third child and only son together, Cohen.

Then in October, the singer's representatives told People magazine that Jimmie and Alexis had reconciled.

But it turns out that while Alexis was pregnant, another woman was too: In March 2024, Jimmie announced that an unnamed woman had given birth to his twins, Amari and Aria, nine months earlier, making him a father of six.

Brielle, who was born in 1997, still appears on "Don't Be Tardy" with the rest of her family and, like her mom, has become a big fan of plastic surgery procedures like lip-plumping.

Not very many kids get the opportunity to grow up or spend significant time in the White House. As Barron Trump celebrates his 18th birthday on March 20, 2024, join us as we take a look at where presidents' sons and daughters ended up…

Former President Donald Trump's youngest child, Barron Trump, was just 10 when his father was sworn into office in January 2017. Barron's mother is Donald's third and current wife, Melania Trump, and he is the couple's only child together.

In the months after his father became president, Barron remained in New York City with his mother so he could finish out the school year where he was raised then transferred to St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, the following school year after he and his mother joined Donald in the White House.

Barron Trump is now an adult!

After attending St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, during dad Donald Trump's presidential term, he transferred to Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2021.

In March 2024, the celebrity scion — who's grown to a reported 6 feet, 7 inches tall — turned 18. Barron — seen here at grandmother Amalija Knavs' funeral in January 2024 — is set to graduate from high school in 2024.

Amy Carter — the youngest of former President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter's children and the only one to live with her parents during their tenure in Washington, D.C. — moved into the White House in 1977 when she was 9 and lived there for four years.

With her three older brothers already grown, she was kept company by her Siamese cat, Misty Malarky Ying Yang.

Following her father's term in the White House, Amy Carter returned to her native Georgia with her parents and finished high school before enrolling at Brown University. Amy — who was a headline-making political activist in the '80s and '90s — later graduated from the Memphis College of Art and earned a master's degree in art history from Tulane University.

She's a mother to Hugo Wentzel — who in 2023 appeared on "Claim to Fame" and later revealed he'd started dating actress and TV host Jenny McCarthy's niece, tattoo artist Olivia Aquilina, after they connected on the ABC reality show — with first husband James Wentzel, a computer consultant. Following their divorce, Amy wed Jay Kelly and welcomed her second child, Errol Carter Kelly.

Amy — seen here speaking at mother Rosalynn Carter's November 2023 funeral — is a member of the board of counselors of the Carter Center, which was founded by her father, President Jimmy Carter, to advocate for human rights around the globe.

Ivanka Trump — one of former President Donald Trump's three children with his first wife, the late Ivana Trump — worked closely with her father for years. The University of Pennsylvania grad previously served as the executive vice president of the family business, the Trump Organization, and appeared on Donald's popular NBC series, "The Apprentice." So it was no surprise that when her dad took office in January 2017, Ivanka — despite her lack of political experience — became a senior adviser in his administration. Her husband, Jared Kushner, also served as a senior adviser.

After her father left the White House, Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner moved to Surfside, Florida — a suburb of Miami — with their three children. They've built their real estate portfolio in the state ever since. Despite working closely with her father during most of her adult life, including in the White House, when asked about his 2024 presidential run, Ivanka revealed in a 2022 statement that looking to the future, "I do not plan to be involved in politics."

Malia Obama is the oldest child of former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. Malia, who was born on the Fourth of July in 1998, was 10 when her dad became the 44th president of the United States.

Malia Obama graduated from Harvard in 2021 and has been working to establish herself in the entertainment industry. During her undergrad years, she interned on the set of HBO's "Girls" and at the Weinstein Company. More recently, she worked as a writer on the Amazon Prime series "Swarm" and on a short film for actor Donald Glover in 2023.

Former President Donald Trump's eldest child with the late Ivana Trump, Donald Trump Jr., worked closely with him in the family business prior to his presidential term. Don Jr. has served as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization, alongside younger brother Eric Trump, and was a boardroom judge on NBC's "The Apprentice" like his sister, Ivanka Trump. He was very active in his father's 2016 presidential campaign but unlike Ivanka, he didn't take an official position in the administration during their dad's term, instead opting to continue to work for the Trump Organization.

In 2018 — during Donald's presidency — Don Jr. split from his wife, Vanessa Haydon, with whom he shares five children. The same year, he began dating former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle. Their engagement was revealed in 2020.

These days, Donald Trump Jr. is still engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle. He made another major change in recent years too, moving from his home base of New York City to Florida like other members of his family. He's remained politically active, supporting his father on social media, at rallies and at appearances at the Conservative Political Action Conference and Turning Point Action USA Conference. He launched a podcast, "Triggered with Don Jr.," in January 2023.

Eric Trump — former President Donald Trump's youngest child with the late Ivana Trump — for years worked closely with his father, serving as an executive vice president of the Trump Organization and appearing on his dad's TV series, "The Apprentice," as a boardroom judge. Eric was also a part of Donald's 2016 presidential campaign, serving as a key adviser and fundraiser. But once his father took office, he took a step back from politics and continued to run the Trump Organization alongside brother Donald Trump Jr.

While his dad was in office, Eric became a father for the first time: He and wife Lara Trump welcomed son Eric in September 2017 and daughter Carolina in August 2019.

Much like his siblings, Eric Trump left New York for Florida following his father's time as president, moving to Jupiter — where he and his wife and kids live in a Trump National Golf Club gated community — in 2021.

Eric has continued to stay in the public eye, often via appearances on conservative TV networks. Wife Lara Trump regularly made appearances on Fox News as an official contributor before parting ways with the network in November 2022 because her father-in-law launched his 2024 presidential campaign.

Tiffany Trump — former President Donald Trump's youngest daughter, who's his only child with second wife Marla Maples — was busy graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and applying to law schools in 2016 while her father was running for president. The year of his inauguration, 2017, she enrolled in law school at Georgetown University; she graduated in 2020. Amid her studies, Tiffany made time to campaign for her father in both in 2016 — she spoke at the 2016 Republican National Convention — and 2020.

At the end of her father's term in January 2021, she revealed some big personal news: Michael Boulos, a billionaire's heir, proposed to her at the White House.

Tiffany Trump married Michael Boulos in November 2022 after four years together and a White House engagement. (Fun fact: She met Michael while spending time in Greece with her friend Lindsay Lohan!) It's unclear if she'll be active in her father's 2024 presidential campaign.

Sasha Obama lived a relatively normal high school life — at 15, she got a summer job like many kids her age — working at the takeout window of Massachusetts seafood restaurant Nancy's in Martha's Vineyard. But one thing set her apart from the rest of the employees: She was flanked by Secret Service agents at all times.

After high school, she attended the University of Michigan as a freshman before transferring to the University of Southern California. She graduated in May 2023. Since then, she's remained in Los Angeles where she reportedly lives with big sister Malia Obama.

Barbara Pierce Bush — who was named after her grandmother, former first lady Barbara Bush — was born one minute ahead of twin sister Jenna Bush in 1981, technically making her the oldest of George W. Bush and Laura Bush's twins. Grandfather George H. W. Bush was elected the 41st president when she was 8. She was 18 when her father was voted into office in 2000.

During father George W. Bush's presidency, Barbara Bush attended Yale University. She's gone on to do philanthropic work including co-founding and serving as the president of a public health nonprofit, Global Health Corps. She's also opted to step into the political arena, appearing in a 2011 video for the Human Rights Campaign advocating for gay marriage in New York.

Barbara and twin sister Jenna Bush Hager penned a book together, "Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life," that was released in 2017. Barbara married screenwriter Craig Coyne in 2018 in an intimate ceremony at the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, so that her paternal grandfather, who was in bad health, could attend. The couple then hosted a bigger wedding in Texas in 2019 and welcomed their first child, daughter Cora, in 2021.

Jenna Bush, the younger Barbara Bush's twin, was also 18 when her father, George W. Bush, was elected the 43rd president of the United States.

Jenna Bush, who now goes by her married name, Jenna Bush Hager, was known as the wild twin during her father's presidency. She enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin while he was in office and was charged with two misdemeanors in 2001 — one for possession of alcohol under the age of 21 and the other for using a fake ID. But Jenna's crazy days are far behind her now! She married Henry Chase Hager in 2008 and has since welcomed two daughters and a son — Margaret Laura, whom they call Mila, was born in 2013; Poppy was born in 2015; and Henry was born in 2019.

He had attended Yale, went to Harvard Business School and served in the Texas Air National Guard. The younger George married Laura Welch in 1977 and welcomed twin daughters, Barbara and Jenna, in 1981.

After George H.W. Bush left the White House in 1993, son George W. Bush's career in politics truly got started. He became the governor of Texas in 1995 and served until 2000, which is when he ran for president. He won the election, beating Al Gore, and served two terms before returning to Texas.

Since holding the country's highest office, George has penned a memoir, "Decision Points," which was published in 2010, and started painting as a hobby. He later collected some of his paintings of veterans and assembled them into his 2017 book, "Portraits of Courage," donating proceeds to the George W. Bush Presidential Center. He's also now a proud grandfather of four.

Jeb Bush was 35 when his father, George H.W. Bush, was elected president and had already attended the University of Texas at Austin, married Columba Garnica Gallo in 1974 and welcomed three children: son George Prescott, born in 1976; daughter Noelle, born in 1977; and son Jeb Jr., born in 1983. He started his political career in the mist of volunteering for his father's presidential campaigns and, after relocating his family to Florida, got involved in politics in the mid-'80s ahead of his dad's big win.

Jeb Bush became governor of Florida in 1998 and made history as the state's first Republican governor to serve two terms. He campaigned ahead of the 2016 presidential election, vying for the Republican party's nomination, but ultimately lost out to Donald Trump. He's now co-chair of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, which he heads with sister Dorothy Bush Koch. Jeb is also the founder and chair of ExcelinEd, an organization focused on education reform.

Neil Bush was 33 when George H.W. Bush became president. He married Sharon Smith in 1980 and they had three kids: daughter Lauren, born in 1984; son Pierce, born in 1986; and daughter Ashley, born in 1989.

After his father's presidency ended in 1993, Neil Bush continued to work as a businessman in Texas. After dealing with son Pierce's learning difficulties, Neil co-founded the educational software business Ignite! Learning to help kids learn via different mediums. Neil's also advocated against over-medicating children, in particularly taking a stand against Ritalin and other meds prescribed to children with ADHD. Neil has also worked as a consultant for various businesses and served as chairman of the philanthropic group Points of Light, which attempts to increase volunteerism all over the world.

Neil and wife Sharon divorced in 2003. He remarried a year later, tying the knot with Maria Andrews in 2004. More recently, Neil's son, Pierce, tried his hand at the family business, running for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020, though lost his election in Texas's 22nd district.

Marvin Bush is George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush's youngest son. He was 32 when his dad won the 1988 presidential election and had already graduated from the University of Virginia, married Margaret Conway and welcomed his first child via adoption, daughter Marshall. They adopted their second child, son Charles, in 1989 during the elder Bush's presidency.

Marvin Bush has largely stayed out of politics. The businessman has been director of HCC Insurance Holdings and served on the board of directors of Securacom, a security company. He made headlines during the 2016 presidential election for openly supporting Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson despite coming from a Republican family.

Dorothy Bush — the youngest child of George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush — was 29 when her father was inaugurated. Prior to that, she'd attended Boston College, graduating in 1982, and married first husband William Heekin LeBlond that same year. The two share children Samuel, born in 1984, and Nancy, born in 1986. They split in 1990 during her father's presidency. Dorothy remarried during her time as first daughter, exchanging vows with Robert P. Koch in 1992.

After George H.W. Bush left office, Dorothy Bush Koch welcomed two more kids with second husband Robert Koch. The couple added son Robert in 1993 and daughter Georgia three years later in 1996. Since her dad left office, Dorothy has worked to commemorate his legacy, penning "My Father, My President: A Personal Account of the Life of George H. W. Bush" in 2006. She also sponsored the commission of a ship named after her father, the USS George H.W. Bush, in 2009. Country music singer Jimmie Allen is now a father of six. He shared the surprising news on social media in March 2024, explaining that he'd recently welcomed twins with another woman amid his divorce from wife Alexis.

Here's the breakdown: Jimmie's eldest child is Aadyn, his son with an unnamed woman from a previous relationship. He has three kids with former wife Alexis: daughters Zara and Naomi and son Cohen, who was born in 2023 after they announced plans to divorce. He also welcomed twins — Aria and Amari — in 2023 four months before Cohen's birth. The Nashville music star has not publicly identified the twins' mother.

"I have 6 kids. I love each one of them. I refuse to let anyone make me feel ashamed of any of my children. The only opinion I care about is theirs," Jimmie wrote on his Instagram Story.

In November 2023, famed chef Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana announced that she'd given birth to their sixth child — son Jesse James. "One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls…. Done," Gordon wrote on social media.

There are 25 years between Jesse and his eldest sibling: Gordon and Tana are also parents to four adult children — Matilda, twins Holly and Jack, and Tilly — plus a much younger son, Oscar, who was born in 2019.

Former NFL MVP Cam Newton is gearing up to welcome his eighth child. On Oct. 27, 2023, actress-comedian Jasmin Brown — the former Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots quarterback's girlfriend — took to Instagram to announce that she's pregnant with her first child.

Cam, meanwhile, has seven older children from two previous relationships: He shares five children with ex-fiancée Kia Proctor and two kids with ex La Reina Shaw.

In her pregnancy announcement, Jasmin poked fun at the fact that she's the third woman to welcome a child with the NFL star: "Third times a charm tour," she captioned a photo of herself holding up three fingers while posing alongside a sign reading "Baby Momma 3."

In July 2022, Elon Musk confirmed a report revealing he quietly welcomed twins with one of his top executives, artificial intelligence expert Shivon Zilis, in November 2021 just weeks before he had a daughter via surrogate with former partner Grimes — which means he's a father of 10. "Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far," the Tesla and SpaceX CEO tweeted. "Mark my words, they are sadly true." He then joked, "Maybe Tesla should make a highly configurable Robovan for people & cargo?" Elon had son Nevada with his first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, in 2002; the baby died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) at 10 weeks. Call it a comeback! After years away from the limelight, Megan Fox reemerged with a vengeance in 2020 with a slew of new projects, a hot new romance and a brand new wardrobe worthy of this new chapter in her life and career. The "Transformers" alum rarely plays it safe these days: Whether she's embracing bold colors and cuts, sporting body-baring looks or coordinating ensembles with beau Machine Gun Kelly, there's A LOT to appreciate for Megan stans and casual observers alike.

Megan's also been more open about her appearance, even detailing what work she's had done on a March 2024 episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" star said she had her breasts "done conservatively" between the "first and second 'Transformers' movies" then "had them redone after I was done breastfeeding my kids." She also confirmed that she'd recently had her implants fixed. Megan also "had my nose done when I was in my early 20s" and copped to using Botox and fillers. She's never, however, had a face lift, brow lift or "any liposuction or body contouring or anything like that," she added.
