Chrissy Teigen shuts down online critic who called her 'classless'

Chrissy Teigen blasted a Twitter critic who unfollowed her social media profiles and called her "classless."

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

The name-calling came after the model posted about changing her Twitter profile picture, which features her on her Quibi show "Chrissy's Court." It was recently announced that Quibi was shutting down.

"guess I should change my chrissy's court header lol goodbye quibi, only I understood uuuuuu," Chrissy tweeted.

https://twitter.com/chrissyteigen/status/1336470805450919937

One particular user apparently took offense to Chrissy, writing, "It's official. I followed you on IG and here…. at first I thought you had funny interesting stories but now I realize you just go on about EVERYTHING.  Unfollow on both."

After feeling online heat, the person told Chrissy, "I didn't say anything horrible about you. What you just did was really classless."

Ironically, the account's bio says, "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice." This was pointed out by several of Chrissy's supporters.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

The user then accused Chrissy of tweeting far more than she does.

"160 tweets within one hour is in my opinion too much," the user wrote. "However the way she responded was completely classless."

Chrissy hit back, "I haven't tweeted for 3 days, then said 6 things. Lolllllll you are weird and angry."

The hater quickly shared a screenshot that said there had been 160 tweets about Chrissy in the last hour. A fan, however, told the troll that those aren't written by Chrissy, but rather tweets that "contained the words Chrissy Teigen."

Post Malone gifts 2,000 pairs of custom shoes to alma mater

There are a whole lot of people in Grapevine, Texas, rocking new Crocs today, and it's all thanks to Post Malone.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

While the rapper's Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II sold out within hours of their release on Dec. 8, Posty wanted to do something nice for his former high school, so he gifted a pair to every single student and faculty member there, TMZ reported.

After taking into account Grapevine High School's student body of 1,900 and its 100 teachers, that's about 2,000 custom Crocs.

Grapevine High's principal, Alex Fingers, told the school that Post saw the students and faculty being good "global citizens" and "good local citizens" amid the pandemic and wanted to reward them.

While donning the new Crocs, the principal said, "One of our own, Grapevine High School graduate Post Malone has noticed your work and decided to give you guys a little bit of something to send you into the holiday season on the right foot."

TMZ said a Google spreadsheet was distributed throughout the entire school last week, where everyone was told to put down their shoe size. At the time, they didn't know the reason for the questionnaire. After the foot sizes were all gathered, the announcement was made.

Principal Fingers said Post "loves Grapevine High School and the community that raised him here, and he wanted to do something to give back to the community that nurtured him and allowed him to have the levels of success that he's had."

On Dec. 8, Principal Fingers even tweeted out pictures of the kids receiving their new kicks.

"Thank you @PostMalone for always giving back to your community!" Principal Fingers wrote. "Your fellow @Grapevine_HS Mustangs are so proud of your success! #ThanksPosty #Posty."

As one of the few schools in the country open right now, the shoes were reportedly distributed in the safest way possible.

Tyler Perry reportedly puts $100k toward disgraced Hillsong pastor's rent

Tyler Perry is lending a helping hand to disgraced Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz and his family.

The movie mogul, according to The Sun, dropped nearly $100,000 so that the former man of God and his family can live in their 5,000-square-foot Los Angeles mansion for the next six months.

Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock

Carl and his wife, Laura, moved from New Jersey to Los Angeles in late October just days before they were were fired from the celebrity-favorite church due to his "moral failures" and "breaches of trust." Carl, who was once inseparable from Justin Bieber, later admitted that he had an affair.

"Tyler has been friends with Carl and his wife, Laura, for years and is sticking by them and their kids during this difficult time," a source told The Sun, adding that the ex-pastor has been "leaning" on Tyler since his fall from grace.

Another source said the men have spoken "consistently" over the past two months.

The pair have been friendly for years. In 2018, the "Madea" star posted a picture of him reading Carl's book, "Own the Moment." The men are also represented by the same public relations firm.

Bebeto Matthews/AP/Shutterstock

Since the firing, multiple allegations have come out suggesting that Carl stepped out on his marriage more than once.

Carl and Laura, who share three children, have reportedly been in "intense therapy" following the scandal. Further, on Dec. 8, People magazine reported that Carl was seeking treatment for "pastoral burnout."

"He has no ill will towards the church and recognizes that they needed to take some course of action to address his missteps," a source told the mag.

MTRX / BACKGRID

Carl's infidelity was said to be a primary reason for his falling out with Justin and Hailey Bieber.

"Carl's cheating has caused irreparable damage with many people he was close with, including Justin and Hailey," a source said following news of the firing in early November. "They were both extremely shocked and disappointed when Carl's confession came out."

Taylor Swift's cat-themed Christmas card is a thing of beauty

Merry Swift-mas!

Taylor Swift's Christmas cards have begun landing in friends' mailboxes, and they do not disappoint.

Charles Sykes/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

On Dec. 8, Louisville public radio DJ Kyle Meredith posted a photo of the pop star's card. On the front, it features Taylor's cats — Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button  — photoshopped into her "Folklore" album cover. The cats look festive, as one wears a scarf, another wears a Santa Claus hat and another dons a traditional party hat with a cocktail near its paw.

"Wishing you a season of moments so wonderful, they become folklore," the card reads on the inside. "Love, Taylor Swift and everyone at 13 Management."

Taylor also signed the card.

The seasons greeting comes while Taylor re-records her older music after she was denied the ability to ever purchase the master recordings from her first six albums. On Dec. 2, an early listen of "Love Story" was released as part of a Match.com commercial.

Last year, the "Betty" singer was livid after her former record label, Big Machine Records, sold to Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings, which she called a "worst case scenario." Included in that sale was Taylor's master recordings. Then, last month, Scooter sold the rights to her master's to an investment fund.

"As you know, for the past year I've been actively trying to regain ownership of my master recordings. With that goal in mind, my team attempted to enter into negotiations with Scooter Braun," she said on social media on Nov. 16. "Scooters team wanted me to sign an ironclad NDA stating I would never say another word about Scooter Braun unless it was positive, before we could even look at the financial records of BMLG (which is always the first step in a purchase of this nature. I would have to sign a document that would silence me forever before I could even have a chance to bid on my own work."

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

The wording of the NDA, she said, was akin to someone trying to "silence an assault accuser by paying them off." She maintained, "This was the second time my music had been sold without my knowledge."

Taylor wrote a letter to the new owner of her masters, Shamrock Holdings. In that letter, she was upfront in her plans to re-record her masters.

Braunwyn Windham-Burke says only one 'Housewife' has supported her

Braunwyn Windham-Burke is finding out who her friends are.

Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Over the weekend, just days after publicly coming out as gay, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star took to Instagram to post a photo in a beautiful black dress. She then invited her supporters and haters to comment on that particular photo so that she can keep the judgmental thoughts in one place.

"Okay, you've all got a lot of opinions about what's going on in my life, so instead of writing them on a cute Santa photo with the kids, you can write them here….get it out and then we can move on," she said.

Soon after, someone told her to "stay away" from former "Housewives" star Tamra Judge.

Gregory Pace/Shutterstock

Braunwyn, 43, quickly shot back, "Tamra has been the only person from Rhoc that has been there for me."

Of Tamra, Braunwyn continued, "She knew I was sober and kept it to herself, she knew we were struggling with our daughters mental health issues and listened, she got me through a day that was so hard I was physically shaking. Whatever you think you know, you don't [sic]."

The fact that the current and former "Housewives" stars are close isn't news. Braunwyn has spoken about Tamra on the popular reality TV show, and the women are often seen on social media together.

It appears that former "Housewives" star Meghan King is also there for Braunwyn, as she commented on the weekend's image in a cheeky manner.

"Ugh I hate it when people ruin my cute posts with unrelated opinions about my life!," Meghan wrote. "Btw you look like a massive b—- here and I AM HERE FOR IT!!!!!"

Braunwyn, a mother of seven, has been the talk of the Bravo franchise for the past week after she became the first "Housewives" star to publicly come out as gay

"It feels so good to finally be living my truth. I am a lesbian," she said on Instagram. "At 43 years old, I've finally been able to accept this part of myself and I've realized there are no rules about when someone should come out. This is my time."

Braunwyn is currently dating a woman named Kris.

Natalie Portman says she was 'sexualized as a child'

Natalie Portman has been in the public eye for nearly 30 years, but her young stardom and the film industry, in general, had a lasting affect on her intimate development.

While chatting with Dax Shepard on his "Armchair Expert" podcast, the actress spoke about breaking into the industry at the age of 12 in "Leon: The Professional," in which she played a girl living with an assassin.

DAVID SWANSON/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock

The movie was a hit, but Natalie's newfound stardom "didn't allow the full expression of who I was at that time," she said.

Over the years, the Oscar-winning actress, who's now 39, has been largely perceived as having a fiercely conservative lifestyle. That, she said, was something she did to protect herself.

"Being sexualized as a child took away from my own sexuality because it made me afraid," she said. "So many people had this impression of me that I was super-serious and prude and conservative as I got older. I consciously cultivated that because it was a way to make me feel safe. If someone respects you, they're not going to objectify you."

Charles Sykes/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Since her big break in 1994, Natalie has had big roles in a slew of massively-popular films such as "Star Wars," but she's also played several troubled characters, particularly in "Black Swan" and "Beautiful Girls." In 1997, she was offered the role of Lolita in the film of the same name. She turned it down because of the sexual content. In the film, Lolita is kidnapped as a child and becomes romantically involved with her captor. Natalie didn't want her real life to be likened to the character, she said of why she passed on the gig,

Afterward, she even went on to turn down other roles that involved love scenes or kissing.

"At that age you do have your own sexuality, and you do have your own desire and you do want to explore things … but you don't feel safe necessarily," she said. "You build these fortresses."

Dax noted that other child stars such as Miley Cyrus or Bella Thorne had different paths, as they had clean-cut Disney roles but later shared their thoughts on sexuality in very public manners.

"It's totally true," Natalie said.

In 2012, Natalie married choreographer Benjamin Millepied. They share two children.

Piers Morgan again denies he's the 'pigeon lady' in 'Home Alone 2'

A funny, harmless and seemingly baseless theory has again enveloped Piers Morgan, who's denying he was ever in the film "Home Alone 2."

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

On Dec. 7, a fan posted a meme that shows a side-by-side picture of Piers and the "pigeon lady" from the film. "I'm not saying that Piers Morgan is the Pigeon Lady from Home Alone 2 but have you ever seen them in a room together at the same time," the meme reads.

On Dec. 8 on "Good Morning Britain," Piers's co-host Susanna Reid brought up his resemblance to Brenda Fricker, the Oscar-winning actress who played the role.

"Can we just have a look at 'Home Alone 2' because, frankly, it is the best picture," Susanna said. "Because lots of people watch 'Home Alone 2' and wonder if this is you."

A flustered Piers shot back, "Why does this keep coming around? That is not me. I am not the bag lady in 'Home Alone 2.'"

Susanna then shared a Twitter photo of Piers covered in pigeons, taken while he was hosting "Good Morning Britain" in 2018.

"We have proof you're the bird lady," she said. "Everywhere you go, you attract the pigeons."

After the on-camera piece aired, a London-based media organization compared Piers to Brenda. On Twitter, he commented with angry-face emojis.

The "Home Alone" comparison has been popping up for several years now. In fact, Piers' own son tweeted about it in 2018.

"Chilled night watching Home Alone 2. Always forget you're in it @piersmorgan," Spencer Morgan wrote on Twitter.

Blac Chyna scores court win against Kardashians

Blac Chyna has scored a big win in her three-year court battle against the Kardashian family over the cancelation of "Rob & Chyna."

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Page Six reported on Dec. 7 that a judge ordered Bunim/Murray Productions, the company behind the defunct reality show, to hand over unaired footage from what would've been the second season of "Rob & Chyna."

Chyna's attorney claims the footage, which was filmed while she and Rob Kardashian were engaged, shows him supporting her after she underwent a medical procedure. According to Page Six, the judge also ruled that the production company has 45 days to hand over unaired footage from "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" filmed in March 2017. The footage supposedly shows the former couple discussing parenting their daughter, Dream.

KCR/Shutterstock

Chyna sued the entire Kardashian family in 2017 after her messy split from Rob. "Rob & Chyna" soon came to an end. After that, Chyna began claiming that the Kardashian family tarnished her reputation and torpedoed "Rob & Chyna" by using their influence at E! Network. The Kardashian family, her attorney alleged, interfered with Chyna's "highly lucrative contract" with E!, and their "illegal interference" caused the show to end. The Kardashian family claims "Rob & Chyna" was canceled because the duo split. Plus, the show had lackluster ratings compared to other Kardashian spinoffs.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Several months after the lawsuit, a judge dismissed Kim Kardashian West and Kris Jenner from the case.

Rob did not participate in the recent hearing.

"We have not filed an opposition to the court for this request because the footage has no impact on the case," Rob's attorney, Marty Singer, told Page Six. "However, we have requested Blac Chyna's OnlyFans footage and she has refused to release that footage to us."

Catherine Zeta-Jones suffers injury setting up Christmas decorations

On Dec. 6, the actress revealed that she injured her foot while setting up Christmas decorations at home.

"Ziplock Zeta foot fashion! Ice ice baby," she wrote alongside a video that shows her icing her left foot in bed.

"So I was putting up my Christmas decorations and an iron rod that's supposed to be a sculpture – that I don't even like –  fell on my foot, and it hurts," she said, recalling the incident. She added, "Happy Sunday!"

On Dec. 7, she acknowledged her hurt foot while posting a funny meme in which she concedes that working out and cleaning the house aren't in the cards today.

"Especially now with my holiday decoration injury," she wrote.

Catherine, 51, thanked her fans for all their well wishes.

Ironically, it was less than a week ago that the "Chicago" star took to Instagram to happily tout the holidays. In posting a video of late actress Vera-Ellen from 1954's "White Christmas" on Dec. 1, Catherine said, "Waking up on December 1st like Vera-Ellen. I am so ready for the holidays!!"

Man arrested for breaking into Tom Brady, Gisele's home

A homeless man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home owned by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen in the early morning hours of Dec. 7. The superstar couple, though, hasn't lived in the Massachusetts home in months.

Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

TMZ said the police raced to the home after multiple alarms went off. When authorities arrived, they found the intruder in the basement "laying on the couch in the middle of the room."

The man was arrested without incident and faces multiple charges, including breaking and entering, entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, attempted larceny and trespassing.

Rex USA

Perhaps not coincidentally, this isn't the man's first Tom Brady-related crime. Last year he was arrested for stealing one of Tom's jerseys from the New England Patriots Hall of Fame exhibit in Foxboro, Mass. During his getaway from that exhibit, he slipped, giving police a chance to nab him. He was wearing the jersey under a jacket.

That incident was referenced in the new police report, as it noted that the intruder has "several active warrants out of Wrentham District Court stemming from incidents that occurred in Foxboro, MA late last year."

Tom and Gisele were never in danger during the Monday morning break-in, as they were 1,300 miles away in Tampa, Florida, where Tom plays for the Buccaneers.

The home where the break-in occurred is currently for sale. TMZ notes that the 12,000-square-foot mansion was initially put on the market in late 2019 for $39.5 million. Tom and Gisele eventually dropped the price to $33.9 million.

The mansion is still for sale.

Selena Gomez found 'freedom' in speaking out about her mental health struggles

Hollywood's hardly known for encouraging traits like authenticity in its biggest stars. But that hasn't stopped Selena Gomez from staying true to herself when it comes to her work. In fact, authenticity is a driving force for the singer, actress and Rare Beauty creator.

Willy Sanjuan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Speaking at the virtual Teen Vogue Summit on Saturday, Dec. 5, Selena, 28, opened up about her own journey towards self-awareness and how she's funneled that growth into music like her new album, "Rare," and other projects, like her beauty line and HBO cooking show, "Selena & Chef."

"It's important for me to be authentic and to connect to something," she said in reference to her business interests as well as her acting and singing career. "Otherwise, it seems a bit pointless to me. It requires a lot of hard work. But the payoff is amazing."

On "Rare," for example, Selena looked deep into her own, internal struggles to find inspiration for new music. The results were a hit with critics and fans, alike.

"The whole theme of my last album was a lot of self-discovery," she explained. "A lot of being OK being alone and being vulnerable, being OK with not looking like everything else, like everyone else."

Victoria Will/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

In that, sense "Rare" was the product of the self-work Selena spent much of the past few years doing, both with and without professional help.

She's also long advocated for the importance of being open about mental health issues, having struggled with anxiety and depression for many years, particularly after the stress of her kidney transplant.

Asked about her commitment to being open about her mental health challenges, she explained how discussing those issues gave her a whole new perspective on them.

"I think it's less scary when you talk about it. So that's some sense of freedom that I gained once I did," she said.

"I think I had a moment where I felt different. Like, 'Why do I react this way? Why do I feel the way I do and nobody else does?' and I had to figure that out. I didn't want just to stay in this place of confusion."

Chelsea Lauren/Shutterstock

She hasn't wanted others to be stuck in that place, either.

"My journey personally has been all about my timing; when I felt like it was working, that's when I suddenly became so obsessed with making sure that everybody I knew understood that sharing your emotions [was] great," Selena said. "How I'm a huge advocate for therapy. How I feel like there are support groups for everybody, and it's OK … there's no way that people aren't feeling a certain way, whether they're figuring that out on their own or not, we all need each other."

The "Wizards of Waverly Place" alum returns to the small screen next year alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building," which Selena's also executive producing.

Reese Witherspoon, more stars riff on Garcelle Beauvais' Elf on the Shelf-inspired meme

With Los Angeles back under a stay-at-home order following a record number of new COVID-19 cases in one day, Hollywood A-listers including Reese Witherspoon, Mark Ruffalo, Elizabeth Banks and Gal Gadot are making the most of their downtime with an LOL-worthy new Instagram trend that started with a meme repost by Garcelle Beauvais.

Rob Latour/Variety/Shutterstock

In a nutshell? Instead of placing an Elf somewhere on a Shelf in their homes to ward off their kids' bad behavior before Christmas, celebs are putting pics of other stars whose names rhyme with theirs on their virtual shoulders.

ET traces the silliness back to a meme of Pharrell sitting on Garcelle's shoulder, which she reposted on Tuesday, Dec. 1, captioning the pic, "You've heard of Elf on a Shelf, now get ready for this…"

Clearly inspired, Elizabeth Banks took the meme one step further on Friday, editing a photo of herself to incorporate a small Tom Hanks on her shoulder …because why not?

Cue Reese, who Insta-waved at Elizabeth and took the whole thing even further. "Oh hey @elizabethbanks!" she posted on Saturday. "I see your Hanks-on-Banks and I raise you a Grease-on-Reese."

From there, things started going a little bananas. Think: Tony Stark on his costar, Mark Ruffalo:

How 'bout a tiny Tony Hawk, aka "skate," on Kate Walsh?

… or perhaps you'd prefer a nice Pedro Pascal on Gal Gadot?

Not one to be dissuaded by his seemingly un-rhymable last name, even Kyle MacLachlan got in on the fun and shared a selfie complete with a mini-Harry Styles smiling from the shelf of his shoulder.

And just like that, we have a whole new world of lockdown entertainment options …!

George Clooney's Flowbee endorsement wipes out company's entire stock

Even in today's shaky, COVID-19-tinged economy, a little love from George Clooney goes a long way.

James Veysey/Shutterstock

Last weekend, the actor revealed on "CBS Sunday Morning" that he's been cutting his own hair with a Flowbee for 25 years and counting. One week to the day later, Flowbee — a combination vacuum / hair clipper device that surfaced in the '80s — is scrambling to replenish its stock, which has sold out entirely, according to a new report from TMZ.

Flowbee Vice President Troy Hunts tells the outlet sales increased "tenfold" after George's shout-out last week. And that jump doesn't even account for the would-be customers who reportedly couldn't complete their orders, as the company's website was inundated with traffic.

According to TMZ, Flowbee is now in a holding pattern, thanks to what Hunts described as "the Clooney effect," which apparently came on the heels of an already strong sales year for the company, which grew more popular as salons and barbershops closed during the coronavirus pandemic.

At this point, Hunts said, it will be at least two to four weeks before Flowbee stock is back in action, stock-wise.

John Milne/SilverHub/REX/Shutterstock

On "CBS Sunday Morning," George, 59, was asked how he was adjusting to some of the daily life changes brought about by the pandemic. Missing out on hair cuts was not an issue for the star, who said that he bought a Flowbee two-plus decades ago and never looked back.

"My hair is really like straw, so it's easy to cut. You can't really make too many mistakes," he said, adding that his haircuts "literally take two minutes."

A few days later, during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," George helpfully demonstrated the ins and outs of Flowbee usage as Jimmy tried one out on his own noggin.

"You put the buzzer on," George said, lifting a Flowbee to his salt and pepper hair. "And you go to town."

Hunts, by the way, also said Flowbee has never worked with George and had no idea he was such an avid Flowbee user.

After the "Clooney effect" sales spike, though, he pans to send a thank-you gift to the actor "that will likely include a few free Flowbees."

Seems like the least he could do.

R&B singer Jeremih out of hospital after near-death COVID experience

Jeremih has been released from a Chicago hospital after nearly dying from COVID-related complications.

Just last weekend, the R&B singer was put on a ventilator in the intensive care unit, and things looked grim, according to friends' social media accounts.

MediaPunch/Shutterstock

In a statement to TMZ, Jeremih said, "First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful."

"I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude," he added.

Jeremih also gave specific thanks to Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent and Diddy, all of whom publicly called for prayers.

It's not known how long Jeremih was in the hospital, but Chance The Rapper tweeted about Jeremih's health battle on Nov. 14.

"I would like to thank all my fans and people around the world who prayed for me," Jeremih said on Dec. 5. "I'm getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons."
