Newest NYC 'Housewife' revealed…

Elizabeth Savetsky, a fashion influencer who calls herself a "proud Jew & Zionist," is joining the cast of "The Real Housewives of New York," according to a report.

According to Page Six, Lizzy, a Fort Worth, Texas native, is someone who Bravo believes could breathe new life into the show, which has aired for 14 seasons. In recent years, fans have had a love-hate relationship with The Big Apple edition of the franchise. Realizing this, producers have cleaned house and are going with a new cast. (Some of the original "RHONY" cast members will be brought back for a separate "legacy" show.)

Lizzy has not commented on the report, but she is very active on Instagram, which is what producers want.

"Bravo found people aren't responding as well to the constant bickering and fighting of the [previous] cast. They're hoping that this new cast will be a bit more inspiring and attract the younger audience," said an insider.

The source said the women being wooed by Bravo are "already strong in the influencer space, and they are more aspirational. They're women who have their own brands, or at least strong Instagram followings."

Lizzy, for instance, has over 200,000 followers. A mom of three who's married to plastic surgeon Dr. Ira Savetsky, Lizzy often uses her social media to speak about accessories and her Jewish faith.

Page Six said producers are also eyeing Vera Wang executive Priya Shukla for the show.

Gary Busey responds to sexual assault allegations

Gary Busey is denying being inappropriate with several woman, claiming the sexual assault allegations levied against him are "made up."

On Tuesday, Aug. 23, TMZ posted a paparazzi video in which Gary said he doesn't regret what allegedly happened during the recent Monster Mania convention in New Jersey.

"I don't carry any regret with me ever," he said.

Gary was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact, one count of criminal attempt/criminal sexual contact and one count of harassment. According to one woman, Gary allegedly put his face close to a woman's breasts and asked where she got them, TMZ reported. He also tried to unhook her bra, she claimed. A different woman said Gary grabbed her buttocks. Further, a man alleged that Gary also grabbed his daughter's butt.

Still, Gary claims that "none of that happened."

In trying to paint the picture of that day, the Oscar-nominated actor said he was in a room with several woman for "10 seconds." Other witnesses were also in the room, Gary said, and he argued that those people will vouch for his innocence.

"They made up a story that I assaulted them sexually, and I did not," he said in the new video. "Nothing happened, nothing. It was all false."

The "Lethal Weapon" star is set to be arraigned on Aug. 31.

Kylie Jenner's lips are making headlines again. Over the weekend, "The Kardashians" star posted a video of herself dancing alongside her pal, Stassie Karanikolaou, while puckering up for the camera with extra-dramatic, heavily lined pouts. When another user criticized the look, writing "The lips, please," in the comments, Kylie clapped back. "It's the filter but go off," she told the troll dismissively, earning props from some fans — and more criticism from others. 'It's the filter but go off' I'd cry myself to sleep after that," one person replied. "Why is everyone talkin bout the lips when she literally looks fine… go do sun else w ur life," wrote another. Among the critics were users who branded Kylie and Stassie "unnatural queens," cracked jokes about the unnaturally large pouts and urged them to "stop with the lips before it's too much." Although she was clearly using a filter and heavy liner in the post, Kylie's spoken openly in the past about having gotten "temporary lip fillers" to tame her insecurity about their otherwise small size. She first revealed she had fillers in a 2015 episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," where she explained why she dodged the subject at first. "Everyone always picks us apart," she said at the time. "I want to admit to the lips, but people are so quick to judge me on everything, so I might have tiptoed around the truth, but I didn't lie."

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde address 'toxic negativity' from fans

For Harry Styles, navigating fame requires setting boundaries around his personal life, including his relationships and his sexuality, both of which tend to spark commentary and speculation online. "I've never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it's benefited me positively," Harry, 28, explains in a new cover story for Rolling Stone. "There's always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn't going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way." The singer's relationship with Olivia Wilde, 38, became public knowledge in early 2021 after they were photographed attending a wedding together. But Harry notes that he's never chosen to make his relationships public — or his sexuality. "Sometimes people say, 'You've only publicly been with women,' and I don't think I've publicly been with anyone. In his latest film, "My Policeman," the singer plays a closeted, gay police officer. "I think everyone, including myself, has your own journey with figuring out sexuality and getting more comfortable with it," Harry says, noting that his character's sexuality in "My Policeman" isn't the point. "It's about love and about wasted time to me." As for the toxicity? "That obviously doesn't make me feel good," Harry says. "Can you imagine going on a second date with someone and being like, 'OK, there's this corner of the [fanbase], and they're going to say this, and it's going to be really crazy, and they're going to be really mean, and it's not real. But anyway, what do you want to eat?'" He adds: "It's obviously a difficult feeling to feel like being close to me means you're at the ransom of a corner of Twitter or something. Despite the negativity Olivia's faced over her romance with Harry, the "Don't Worry Darling" director says most of Harry's fans are "deeply loving people." "What I don't understand about the cruelty you're referencing is that that kind of toxic negativity," she continues, dismissing it as "the antithesis of Harry." She adds: "I don't personally believe the hateful energy defines his fan base at all. The majority of them are true champions of kindness."

Gabrielle Union reveals new book was inspired by her 3-year-old's 'tantrums'

Gabrielle Union's not afraid to admit her 3-year-old's "tantrums inspired" "Shady Baby Feels," her second kids' book with husband and writing partner Dwyane Wade. Dubbed "a book of first emotions," the new picture book came out of the couple's experience helping their daughter, Kaavia, grow out of physical temper tantrums (and, as the name suggests, shady behavior). "The fact that we just kept saying, use your words, use your words, use your words. And it was just screaming, biting, kicking. Turns out she's got a great left hook," Gabrielle joked in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. "But [it's about] her understanding how to identify what she's feeling so she can communicate to us what she's feeling versus just these displays of her frustration and rage. Use your words: Are you scared? Are you tired? Are you bored? Are you frustrated? Just trying to help her understand what she is actually feeling so she can share with adults, so we can know how to help her," the actress explains. While Ben and Jen welcomed friends and family to their a second wedding in Georgia on Saturday, Aug. 20, Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams were busy tying the knot at a winery near Santa Barbara, California — and most of the bride's "Modern Family" co-stars were on hand to help them celebrate. On Sunday, Sofia Vergara shared a slew of cute photos from the wedding festivities, including snaps of Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould and Ariel Winter. "Luv u @jessetyler @justinmikita ❤️🌞#wedding," Sofia captioned a sweet pic of Jesse and his husband, Justin Mikita. Other pics on Instagram showed the "Modern Family" alums goofing off in the sunshine and enjoying food and drinks together. The show, which snagged 22 Emmys before it came to an end in 2020, aired for 11 seasons.

We've seen a lot of stylish button-downs on the stars this summer, but we have a few questions about the one Ellie Goulding picked! The singer stepped out in New York City on Aug. 15 in this extremely oversized blue blouse — we're talking sleeves that extended well past her hands. If the shirt selection wasn't odd enough, the styling took this one a step further — she wore it unbuttoned and tucked it into black belted trousers for a weird business-casual vibe.

Shockingly, this picture is not from the summer of 2004 but the summer of 2022! Nicky Hilton sported a bow-covered tunic-style top like we were used to seeing on the star in the '00s while leaving dinner in Los Angeles on Aug. 11. Her super-skinny jeans and pointy-toe pumps didn't help matters, giving this ensemble a serious retro vibe.

New mom Rihanna rocked a questionable getup in New York City on Aug. 12. From the denim miniskirt and vintage RZA tee to the oversized Y/Project thigh-high boots, massive Gucci bag and tiny shades, we wouldn't want to copy this one — but it certainly turned heads.

Jennifer Lawrence kept things breezy in a dark brown Matteau maxidress while grabbing lunch in New York City on Aug. 2. She accessorized the sleeveless number perfectly with matching sandals and tortoiseshell shades from Luv Lov.

Even completely makeup-free, Yara Shahidi looked positively stunning while out and about in New York City on Aug. 13. Her low-key look — a blue pinstriped button-down shirt tucked into denim cutoffs paired with chunky black Chanel sandals and a Goyard tote — was simple but made for a chic fashion statement.

Emily Ratajkowski rocked an interesting color palette in New York City on Aug. 11. The model sported a black tank top with lime green low-waisted flared trousers, which on its own was an interesting look, but her shoes are where things went awry. She opted to add brown Jamie Haller loafers to complete her summer ensemble. One accessory we did love? Those fun rectangular shades!

Colorful Versace is always a hit, as proven by Mindy Kaling, who stepped out in bold coordinates from the brand in New York City on Aug. 8. We loved her buttoned-up jacket and miniskirt combo in rainbow shades and the way she paired it with a top bun and black sandals to give it a more casual edge.

Julianne Hough showed off a funky crop top in New York City on Aug. 2. The star donned this collared short-sleeved black cropped tee with a pointed hemline and paired it with high-waisted khaki pants held up by a chunky black belt for a new twist on the ubiquitous shirt choice. Finishing the look? Off-white sandals and a cream-hued bag.

Though it was a questionable choice for summer, Sofia Richie stepped out for dinner in Santa Monica, California, on Aug. 12 in a cozy cashmere-blend Tory Burch sweater tucked into black trousers. She completed her sharp look with dark brown zebra-print Gucci loafers.

Though we appreciated the pops of color on the tie-dye Ralph Lauren sweatsuit Jennifer Lopez wore in Los Angeles on Aug. 8, it looked like a very warm outfit to be wearing in the Southern California heat. She finished the matching coordinates off with some stark white sneakers, pink sunnies and a green bag.

We adored the cream coordinates Aubrey Plaza wore in New York City on Aug. 9. From the spaghetti-strap crop top paired with a high-waisted skirt to the matching cream sandals, this look was a perfect summer ensemble that could easily transition from day to night.

_

Julia Fox showed off one of the strangest tops we've seen all season when she stepped out in New York City on June 22 — a funky V-shaped white creation. She added super-low-waisted baggy jeans and square-toed boots to complete the look.

_

Katie Holmes in head-to-toe Chloe was one of our favorite looks of the season! The star stepped out in New York City on July 20 wearing a tank dress and poncho from the brand in a pretty striped knit then finished off her look with a pair of Chloe's Nama sneakers.

Bella Hadid baffled us with this funky fit she wore in New York City on July 22. The supermodel opted for layered black and white cropped tanks, comically baggy denim shorts held up by a Jean Paul Gaultier x Supreme belt and knee-high black boots for a conflicting summertime vibe.

You don't have to put away your long-sleeved blouses in the summertime! Kaia Gerber opted for a blue button-down shirt worn over top a navy miniskirt and then finished things off with slouchy socks and New Balance sneakers while stepping out on a humid day in New York City on July 16.

We adored the dreamy butterfly-covered slip dress that Delilah Hamlin wore in Los Angeles on July 5 while shopping for flowers — but things went south at her ankles: The model paired the pretty frock with slouchy white socks and chunky black sneakers.

Gabrielle Union served up an equally odd and risky silhouette this summer. The actress rocked this questionable jumpsuit with daring cutouts and added some even more unfortunate shoes — awful heeled flip flops — while out and about in Los Angeles on July 23.

Sara Sampaio selected a sweet spaghetti-strap floral number to take her dog for a walk in Los Angeles on July 20. We loved the delicate pink floral print and the way she paired it with yellow sandals, a matching bag and some funky rectangular shades.

Scout Willis stepped out in some very unfortunate trousers on July 12. The star ran errands in Los Angeles in these very bold black-and-green striped pants, which she paired with even more puzzling picks — a mismatched gray tank top and ballet flats.

Selena Gomez sported this sweet pale yellow minidress, complete with bell sleeves, while in London on July 12. She added strappy pale blue heels for another pop of color and gold hoops to complete her chic summer look.

Ellie Goulding stepped out in London on July 14 in this shiny eggplant pick — a short-sleeved jumpsuit covered in red and purple patches — that left a lot to be desired.

Olivia Rodrigo showed how to rock black and white in the summertime while out in Santa Monica, California, on June 5. The singer wore a crocheted cardigan buttoned only half-way with a pair of white ankle-length bellbottom trousers and added chunky black platform shoes to finish it off.

Yara Shahidi was a vision in a rich purple pick by Philosophy Di Lorenzo Serafini. We loved the preppy vibe of the collar paired with the edgy cutouts as well as the way she completed the ensemble with tan pointy-toe pumps while out in New York City on July 20.

Paris Hilton was spotted in this questionable getup — a matching gray-and-black sweatsuit — in Los Angeles on June 29. Aside from not being cute, we were confused as to why the star sported such a covered-up look in the Southern California heat.

Cameras caught Keke Palmer looking radiant in New York City on July 21. The star stepped out in a neon green combo — a coat, matching trousers and heels — paired with a white crop top and tiny white bag for a summer-chic look.

Audrina Patridge was a vision in hot pink while out and about in Los Angeles on July 24. The reality star rocked her slip dress with a denim jacket tied around her waist then added black boots and a flower crown for some contrasting accessories.

Jennifer Lawrence epitomized easy, breezy new-mom summer style while going for a stroll in New York City on July 7. The movie star rocked a simple white tee with high-waisted, wide-legged tan trousers that included a pretty floral detail at the hemline above her strappy brown sandals. Rectangular shades and a simple brown tote bag rounded out this perfect warm-weather getup.

At 40, Sienna Miller remains a style icon. The beauty arrived at England's Glastonbury Festival on June 24 in this perfect summer music fest ensemble — a chocolate brown spaghetti-strap Mango dress, matching shades and a pair of heeled ankle boots.

Kristin Cavallari embraced an underrated color palette in the summertime — neutrals! The former reality star rocked an asymmetrical camel-colored midi-length frock with dark brown sandals and an ivory bag in New York City on July 11.

One of our least favorite summer looks so far was served up by newlywed Kourtney Kardashian. The reality star continued her new punk-inspired fashion vibe with a bomber jacket over a pink minidress while out in Malibu on July 9. She added chunky loafers and socks for a puzzling beach getup that we wouldn't recommend recreating.

Gemma Chan showed off Wimbledon chic on July 6 in this tennis green Louis Vuitton minidress. The cute pick included the brand's classic checkerboard pattern in green and white, striped black-and-white trim at the neckline and on the sleeves and a fun zipper detail down the center that made it feel sporty. The beauty added summer-ready white pointy-toe shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag to boot.

Want to wear your leather jacket in the summertime? Hailey Bieber showed us how while heading to church in Beverly Hills on June 29, opting to pair hers with a white T-shirt and denim cutoffs. Finishing off this impossibly cool look? Black-and-white sneakers and a pair of tiny shades.

What's more comfortable than leggings or bike shorts? Baggy sweat shorts. And if you're wondering how to wear them out in public this summer, Kendall Jenner graciously gave a tutorial after eating at Nobu in Malibu on June 26, pairing a pair of pale yellow shorts with a cropped gray tank worn underneath an unbuttoned light blue dress shirt. Finishing off this low-key look? A pair of black sneakers and thin dark sunglasses.

The beauty sported this sweet off-the-shoulder Ralph Lauren Collection dress, complete with delicate lace accents, and opted for some edgy accessories to jazz it up: a black belt and snakeskin heeled sandals.

We truly hope patterned pantashoes don't catch on this summer! Kim Kardashian stepped out in a wild skintight red, white and blue pair by Balenciaga and added a cropped white T-shirt while out in New York City on June 21.

Don't be afraid of prints this summer! Gigi Hadid stepped out in New York City on June 15 in these amazing checkered trousers that cut at the ankle. She otherwise kept her look super simple, letting the pants have the spotlight, adding just a white sweater and chic pointy-toe slingback flats.

_

We love a good pair of patterned coordinates, but Kristen Bell showed why proportions are so important as she arrived at the "Good Morning America" studios in New York City on June 20. This multicolored plaid pairing missed the mark because of an excess of fabric — those billowy sleeves with a peplum detail added to wide-legged pants felt like too much bold print. Despite not loving this busy ensemble, we did appreciate the dedication to the cheery shades with the addition of a lime green bag and tangerine pointy-toe pumps.

Impossibly cool Lori Harvey served up a perfectly laid-back summer look in Los Angeles on June 21 — a white bralette with high-waisted crossover wide-legged denim and a billowy white unbuttoned blouse over top. Completing her summer-ready look? A sleek updo, dark sunglasses, tan Hermes sandals and a basket purse.

Pants can make or break a look, as shown by Bella Hadid. The beauty stepped out in New York City on June 6 in these, well, very funky shiny skin-toned skintight pants. She added a tight white graphic tee and heeled boots for an overall confusing combination.

Nicole Scherzinger showed that you can flawlessly incorporate your swimsuit into your summer fashion this year. The singer was spotted at a beach bar in Mykonos, Greece, on June 30 in these cute printed coordinates — a bikini top and matching high-waisted trousers in a bold red-and-white-patterned fabric.

Hailey Bieber is one of the best dressed stars these days, so her off-duty super-casual outfits are typically fab. She's seen here in New York City on June 4 with husband Justin Bieber, in a bold orange monochromatic fit, furthering the baggy trouser trend, opting for a low-waisted olive green pair to which she added a cropped tank and chunky sneakers.

Alessandra Ambrosio gave us a good example of casual layers as she stepped out in New York City on June 8. The model sported a beige Maria Vittoria buttoned-up vest with some wide-legged, high-waisted Magda Butrym trousers. She added the shoe of the season — chunky slides — from Bottega Veneta and some layered jewelry and a lime green Fendi bag to complete her polished look.

Remember what we were saying about proportions? Gigi Hadid showed another example of doing it wrong while out and about in New York City on June 20. The model stepped out in a blue utility jacket worn atop a super-cropped white tank then added baggy brown low-slung trousers and a pair of high socks and sneakers for a confusing combo of cuts.

Bust out those bike shorts! This athleisure staple is the perfect pick for a hot summer day, as exemplified by Bella Hadid in New York City on June 5. She added an unusual top — a striped cardigan only buttoned at the top — and slouchy socks and sneakers to complete her effortlessly cool summer look.

Pantsuits aren't going anywhere, even in the warmer weather. Hailey Bieber showed off the right way to rock these coordinates with this camel suit by Sportmax. She elevated the simple suit with unique accessories — those two-tone Jimmy Choo heels are gorgeous — while out in New York City on June 15.

Alessandra Ambrosio showed how to dress during that in-between hot and cool June weather. The model paired a pale green sweatshirt with comfy-looking white drawstring trousers and white Prada sandals while out in Los Angeles on June 9.

Aubrey O'Day is calling her Instagram feed a "museum of ART" after a fan called her out for Photoshopping herself into desirable vacation images.

A look at the singer's Instagram feed appears to show Aubrey in India, Bali, Greece, Bora Bora and a myriad of other enviable places. The problem is that the Danity Kane alum likely didn't go to any of these places recently. On Sunday, Aug. 21, a TikTok user called out Aubrey for editing images from "other content creators" or "random promotional images."

In a response to the viral TikTok video, Aubrey posted a clearly edited photo that shows her in an extremely skimpy bikini hugging Jesus Christ. She jokingly tagged her location as "Heaven."

While her "Heaven" location was clearly in jest, she took issue with those mocking her Instagram feed.

"And not that I need to explain myself, but I've been in this industry for over 20 years and have been traveling the world since I was 7. If I want my Instagram to be curated like a museum of ART then that's what the f*** is going to happen," she said in part of her fairly profane Instagram caption.

Aubrey, 38, even seemed to think she's doing her 953,000 Instagram followers a favor by sharing the images of locations that are difficult to get to.

"I'm an artist, a REAL creator. Funny enough, back in February, the singer posted a sun-kissed photo implying she was in Bali. The following day Aubrey posted several bikini photos insinuating that she was enjoying the snow in Mammoth Mountain in California.

At no point does Aubrey — who's been accused of altering images before — acknowledge that the images are edited. Still, in her clapback, she demanded that followers "respect my aesthetic."

Shakira reportedly 'very angry' after ex breaks their post-breakup 'pact'

Over the weekend, Spanish media outlet Socialite published a video of the 35-year-old soccer star blatantly making out with new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, 23, at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia, Spain.

A source close to the Grammy winner said Shakira is livid about the loved up images, saying, she's "very angry to see the father of her children with his girlfriend in public."

Amid cheating claims in June, Shakira and Gerard — who share sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7 — announced the end of their 11-year relationship. Soon after, multiple media outlets reported on the "pact" the former duo made.

Spanish TV host Laura Roige reflected on Gerard and Clara's romance.

"It is evident that there is a relationship. I have seen a lot of love. It will hurt Shakira a lot because this is a Gerard Pique that we have never seen. I have never seen him like this with the singer," Laura said.

A source told The Sun that Gerard moved on from the "Hips Don't Lie" songstress with the PR student rather quickly.

"Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months. She is a student who also works for him in his office, organizing events," the source said. "They have been keeping quiet about their relationship but those around them all know what is happening.'

The source continued, "People have been helping him keep the romance hush-hush and have wiped Clara's social media accounts so people can't find photos of her. That alone makes his mates think he is actually quite serious about being with her."

Why Casey Affleck skipped Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's lavish wedding celebration…

Over the weekend, much was made over Casey skipping out on his brother's lavish wedding ceremony in Georgia. The Oscar-winning actor only added to the confusion when he told paparazzi he was missing Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's gathering because of "other things."

It turns out that those "other things" involved taking his son Atticus to soccer practice.

Over the weekend, the "Manchester by the Sea" star shared a message on Instagram welcoming Jen to the family. In the comment's section, Casey's girlfriend, Caylee Cowan, seemed to reveal the "Manchester by the Sea" star's reasoning for eschewing the wedding.

"Hey, if you weren't in town Saturday to take Atty to soccer practice then who would've helped the kid who broke his arm?" she wrote in a since deleted comment. "You're a good man. I love you."

Prior to the post, a source told People that Casey would miss the nuptials because of "family, parental obligations at home."

Although the absence could be seen as a snub, Casey's aforementioned adoring post dispelled that notion quickly.

"Good things are worth waiting for," Casey captioned a throwback image of him walking with Ben and Jen. "Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love."

Mariah Carey was vacationing in Italy and the Hamptons when her $5.65 million Atlanta mansion was burglarized. "This is still an open investigation, the information may be limited," police told Page Six on Aug. 15, confirming the burglary. It's not known what was taken. Prior to the break-in, Mariah had been posting vacation images on social media, perhaps alerting thieves that she wasn't home.

Missing… but not

An Australian actress went off the grid last week after telling her family she was going on a date with someone she met on a dating app. For four days, Laura McCulloch's family was on a manhunt, claiming she was "missing." Then, on Aug. 16, Laura was found alive… and in jail. That same day, her family confirmed that Laura was no longer "missing." According to California's Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to a restaurant on Aug. 12 after Laura got too rowdy. The actress, who's starred in several well-known musicals, allegedly threw a drink on two people (including a 2-year-old child). As police tried calming the situation, Laura made things worse. "Upon arrival, officers contacted Ms. McCulloch who showed obvious signs of intoxication. While conducting the investigation, McCulloch charged the at the officers while yelling expletives," a police report said. "Despite efforts to calm her, McCulloch continued to display aggressive behaviors. During efforts to detain her, she became physically combative, kicked at officers and bit one officer on the shoulder." Laura was released on Aug. 16 on her own recognizance.

Shall we call them Bradajkowski? In mid-August, Deux Moi reported that Brad Pitt has been spending time with Emily Ratajkowski in the wake of her recent split from producer husband Sebastian Bear-McClard. Sources told the Instagram gossip account that the A-list actor and the model spent "hours" dining together in "a private room" at a "very fancy Parisian restaurant" and later were seen together at New York City's Pearl Oyster Bar. No major media outlets have yet confirmed the rumored romance.

Cause of death

Anne Heche ultimately died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries following her fiery accident, the Los Angeles County coroner announced on Aug. 17. The official said Anne also suffered a sternal fracture due to the impact from the steering wheel when she crashed her car into a house on Aug. 5. Her death — she was declared brain dead six days after the tragic crash — has been listed as accidental.

Hollywood reaction

The entertainment world had some thoughts about Liz Cheney's defeat in the Wyoming Republican primary election. To little surprise, the congresswoman soundly lost her primary on Aug. 16, almost exclusively due to her impeachment vote for former President Donald Trump and because of her help leading the Jan. 6 committee. "I've always been a sucker for anybody who would walk the walk when the price of doing so is so personally high," actor Ron Perlman tweeted. "Thank you Liz Cheney; I will never vote for you but I will always admire you!" Country singer John Rich took great pleasure in the defeat. "I hope Liz Cheney and [former Vice President Mike] Pence both run for President. They need to be defeated as many times as possible," he wrote.

Personal reveal

1990s R&B singer Tevin Campbell has officially come out as gay. "What makes me happiest right now is how far I've come in life," the former child star said on the Aug. 17 episode of the "People Every Day" podcast. "You know, there are a lot of child stars that don't make it. But a lot of us do … and the fact that I've embraced me." Tevin's personal reveal came after he seemed to hint at his sexuality earlier this year. Back in March, he tweeted, "Tevin is…" followed by a rainbow flag emoji. He quickly deleted the tweet. On the podcast, Tevin argued that he didn't conceal his sexuality, claiming his friends have known all along. "I didn't hide anything about me. I didn't try to act a certain way or anything," he said. "You just couldn't be [gay] back then." These days, things are different. "It wasn't like that in the '90s, but I'm glad I get to see it. I'm glad that's changing," he said. "There are a lot of kids, especially young Black boys that need to see representation. They're not being taught to love themselves because of who they are."

Sad news

Richard Engel, the chief foreign correspondent at NBC News, and wife Mary lost their eldest child earlier this month, he heartbreakingly revealed on Aug. 18. Henry — who in 2017 was diagnosed with Rett syndrome, a rare and so far incurable genetic neurological disorder that leads to severe physical and cognitive impairments — was 6. "Our beloved son Henry passed away. He had the softest blue eyes, an easy smile and a contagious giggle. We always surrounded him with love and he returned it, and so much more," Richard shared in a heartbreaking tweet, linking to a memorial page on the Texas Children's Hospital website. Henry died on Aug. 9.

Divorcing

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Michelle Branch split from her husband of three years, the Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. The singer filed a six-page divorce complaint in a Nashville on Aug. 12. The filing came less than 24 hours after she was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge at the couple's home. Michelle reportedly admitted to police that she slapped her husband, a fellow Grammy winner, in the face after she alleged he cheated on her while she was home with their 6-month-old baby.

Cosmetic procedure

Joe Jonas is taking steps to maintain his youthful looks, and he's open about it. In a chat with People magazine published on Aug. 16 as he announced his partnership with the Botox alternative Xeomin, a double-filtered more purified version of the botulinum toxin, the singer acknowledged getting injectables to combat frown lines and a scar between his eyebrows. "We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth," he said. "I don't think it's necessarily something that we have to shy away from." Joe said he doesn't get any "over the top" cosmetic treatments. "There were all these talks at one point, like, 'Oh, men can't do this' or 'It's weird for guys to do that,' and I think there's a stigma that's fading, and I like that," he said. "Guys are more openly wearing makeup, and it's great to see. It's like, do whatever you want, you know? It's a beautiful generation that we're living in."

The fan crush has to be secretly gratifying, as the actor told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year that he was once told he wasn't "handsome enough" to be a leading man.

"I remember I was so desperate. I auditioned for Prince Caspian in 'The Chronicles of Narnia' and I thought, 'This could be it, this could be it,'" he said. "And that handsome, brilliant actor Ben Barnes ended up getting the role. I think it was down to me and him, and I remember I was obsessed."

Will Smith's ex-wife Sheree Zampino is defending her ex in the wake of fallout over the now infamous moment at the 2022 Oscars when he stormed onstage and slapped Chris Rock. "I hope people allow [Will] to be human," Sheree, who shares 29-year-old son Trey Smith with Will, told the Daily Mail in an interview published Friday, Aug. 19. "I really hope for that because I stand in support of him, we are on good terms." She added, "You cannot heal without forgiveness." Will has largely avoided the public eye since the incident, which was sparked by a joke Chris made about Will's wife Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head. (Jada has been open about the fact that she suffers from alopecia-related hair loss.) He did make an effort to apologize to Chris, however, in the statement he shared on Instagram the day after the awards show. From Sheree's perspective, her Oscar-winning ex deserves some margin of error for his response to Chris' joke. "[Will] gives so generously, he puts love into everything he does, he's so gracious so kind," Sheree said. "He has given us years of laughter. I hope people allow the opportunity for him to be human." Her words echo those of Will and Jada's daughter, Willow Smith, who referred to the slap as a moment of her dad's "humanness" that was at odds with his celebrity status in a recent interview with Billboard. "I see my whole family as being human, and I love and accept them for all their humanness," Willow told the outlet this summer. "Because of the position that we're in, our humanness sometimes isn't accepted, and we're expected to act in a way that isn't conducive to a healthy human life and isn't conducive to being honest."

Ben Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner won't be joining Ben and Jennifer Lopez's second wedding festivities in Georgia this weekend, though she was invited, Hollywood Life reported this week. According to a source, the "Alias" star has to miss the celebration because she's "hard at work on a project in Texas … but she's been totally supportive of her kids being there and is really positive in general about the whole thing." Dwyane Wade files to legally change name, gender of teenage daughter

Dwyane Wade is helping his 15-year-old legally change her name and gender. According to documents viewed by The Blast (via Page Six), the retired NBA star formally filed a petition Los Angeles to change his teen's name from Zion Malachi Airamis Wade to Zaya Malachi Airamis Wade. The filing also asks the court to change Zaya's gender to female in legal documents, in accordance with her gender identity. Dwayne, who's now married to Gabrielle Union but shares Zaya with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, notes in the documents that Siohvaughn has "received notice" of the filing, but said he has "full authority" to assist Zaya in making the changes. Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her show in 2020, Dwyane explained that he and Gabrielle "take our roles and our responsibilities as parents very seriously," telling her that they look for the "best information that [they] can, the best feedback that [they] can, and that doesn't change because sexuality is now involved in it." Later that week, he told Robin Roberts in a separate interview that Zaya's "known since she was 3 years old" that she does not identify as male. "Along this way, we've asked questions and we've learned," he added. "But she's known."

Olivia Newton-John honored with 'Grease' screenings to benefit cancer research

"Grease" is returning to the big screen this weekend in honor of Olivia Newton-John, who died on Aug. 8 at 73 after a long battle with breast cancer. Beginning Friday, Aug. 19, more than 100 AMC theaters across the country will screen the classic 1978 musical as a tribute to the late star, the company announced Thursday. Tickets to the special showings will cost just $5, with $1 from each ticket sold going to breast cancer research via the AMC Cares Charitable Fund, the company said in a press release. Following Olivia's death earlier this month, her "Grease" co-star and close friend, John Travolta, was among the scores of social media users who posted public remembrances of the singer and actress. Ambulance called to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez wedding venue

According to MailOnline, Ben's mother, Chris Anne Boldt, suffered a leg injury at the wedding venue on Friday, Aug. 19, and medical attention was required.

A source told DailyMail.com that Ben's mom fell off a dock and cut her leg. The "Argo" star reportedly found her and called an ambulance.

Pictures from the Georgia property showed an ambulance on property, and witnesses said medics stayed on property for about 20 minutes.

Ben and Jen are already married, having eloped in Las Vegas last month. However, Ben reportedly told pals afterward that he and his new wife would be having a bigger, more formal ceremony. Alec Baldwin feared Trump supporters would kill him after 'Rust' shooting

Alec Baldwin feared for his life last year after Donald Trump publicly suggested that the actor intentionally shot and killed Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust."

While rehearsing a scene for the now-shelved indie-western, Alec pointed a gun at Halyna. Unbeknownst to him, the gun was loaded when it discharged.

Halyna's death has been ruled accidental.

Shortly after the incident, Trump, who's no fan of Alec's, theorized on a podcast that the actor loaded the gun himself. "In my opinion, [Alec] had something to do with it," Trump said.

Reflecting on that moment, Alec told CNN in a new interview, "That was the only time that I was worried about what was going to happen. Here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me saying I was responsible for the death."

Speaking about the Capitol riot specifically, in which Trump supporters attempted to stop the certification of Joe Biden's Presidential victory, Alec referred to Brian Sicknick, the police officer who died as result of that insurrection.

"They killed someone," Alec said of the Jan. 6, 2021, mob. "You don't think that I think to myself: Are some of those people going to come and kill me?"

The stress from the fear has "taken years off my life," Alec said. "There is just this torrent of people attacking me who don't know the facts."

The "Boss Baby" star credited his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, for helping him during that time.

"If I didn't have my wife, I don't know where I would be right now … If I didn't have her, I probably would have quit, retired, gone off, you know sold everything I owned, got a house in the middle of nowhere and just you know did find something else to do, sell real estate," he said.

During the course of the interview, Alec maintained his innocence, saying Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the on-set armorer, and assistant director Dave Halls, who handed Alec the gun, are to blame for the accidental death.

"Someone put a live bullet in the gun who should have known better," Alec told CNN. "That was [Hannah's] job. Her job was to look at the ammunition and put in the dummy round or the blank round, and there wasn't supposed to be any live rounds on the set."

"There are two people who didn't do what they were supposed to do," he added. "I'm not sitting there saying I want them to, you know, go to prison, or I want their lives to be hell. I don't want that, but I want everybody to know that those are the two people that are responsible for what happened."

A fun, edited video to begin the trip showed Elizabeth donning a denim jacket and straw hat before her flight. After walking through the airport door, she came out the other side in Greece donning a white bikini bearing cherries.

Photos published by the Daily Mail on Thursday, Aug. 18, show a spring flooring has been put down for the party weekend, which will reportedly make use of multiple buildings on the property. In addition to the grand mansion, the estate, which sits on more than 86 acres and overlooks the North Newport River, features a 10,000 square-foot Oyster House, a cottage and a large farmhouse that was once a barn, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. On Thursday, the Mail reported tents were being set up on the grounds, along with trucks packed with food, furniture and ice machines. According to an "Extra" source, "Ben's new message to guests is, 'We're making our union truly official," with the three-day festivities.

Jonah Hill deletes his Instagram amid anxiety attack battle revelation

Jonah Hill has reportedly taken down his Instagram account ahead of the release of "Stutz," a new documentary about his mental health struggles and long battle with anxiety. Page Six reported the star's social media change on Wednesday, Aug. 18, just one day after Jonah announced he won't be promoting "Stutz" or any other projects in the near future in the interest of protecting himself as he works to improve his mental health. "The whole purpose of making this film is to give therapy and the tools I've learned in therapy to a wide audience for private use through an entertaining film," Jonah said in a statement published by Deadline on Tuesday. "Through this journey of self-discovery within the film, I have come to the understanding that I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public facing events," he explained, noting that he won't be making the usual promo rounds with "Stutz" or other work. "If I made myself sicker by going out there and promoting it, I wouldn't be acting true to myself or to the film," he said of the doc, which he also directed. In closing, Jonah, 38, admitted, "I usually cringe at … statements like this, but I understand that I am of the privileged few who can afford to take time off." He added that he hopes both his open letter and the new film will make it more normal for people to talk and act on this stuff. So they can take steps towards feeling better and so that the people in their lives might understand their issues more clearly." Kanye West consented to a rare interview this week amid criticism of the large black construction bags being used to display his Yeezy Gap line. As one viral tweet shared by a Gap salesperson indicated, the bags are freestanding piles on the floor of the store. Ye previously shared on Instagram that the new designs were inspired by "the children" and "the homeless," according to the Los Angeles Times. Asked about the response to the bags — widely assumed to be of the trash variety — Kanye told Fox News' Eric Shawn he refuses to "apologize" for his approach. Brad Pitt reacts to $20.5M settlement for Katrina victims in lawsuit over faulty homes

Brad Pitt is coming to the end of a long legal saga that began after homes his Make It Right Foundation built in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina turned out to be full of mold, structural damage and other issues. Brad, who was no longer working with the foundation when the problems began to arise, was nonetheless named in a class action suit filed by affected homeowners. He also reportedly helped broker the $20.5 million settlement that was reached in the suit on Tuesday, Aug. 16, according to The Guardian. The settlement is being funded by the environmental organization Global Green (which was not named in the suit) and will reimburse plaintiffs for repairs they've had to make on their would-be sustainable, flood-protected houses. "I am incredibly grateful for Global Green's willingness to step up and provide this important support for the Lower Ninth families," Brad said in a statement. "We collaborated in the early days post-Katrina and we are very fortunate to have Global Green's generous continuing commitment to help address the challenges around these homes and others in need." The settlement still needs to be signed off on by a judge, but is expected to be approved.

Luke Wilson shares an update on 'Legally Blonde 3'

At long last, we have a status update on "Legally Blonde 3," the (allegedly) forthcoming next addition to Reese Witherspoon's Elle Woods-Goes-To-Harvard Law franchise. Luke Wilson — who played Elle's tall, dark, handsome and lawyer-y love interest in the first two films — appeared on "Good Morning America" on Thursday, Aug. 18, where he revealed he and his co-stars recently reunited for a chat. He also took a stab at guessing why the project might be stalled two years after Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor signed on as screenwriters. "I think I know as much as you all, but we did have a Zoom call get-together last summer where the whole cast — Jennifer [Coolidge], Matthew [Davis], Selma [Blair] — all got together and talked, so it really was great to see everybody," Luke shared, per Entertainment Weekly. As for that delay? "Reese is such a sharp individual, I think she's probably just waiting for the script to be right and the time to be right," he said. "It'll be really fun to make another movie." Anne Heche's podcast co-host breaks her silence on Anne's death

Heather Duffy, the co-host of Anne Heche's "Better Together" podcast since 2020, broke her silence on the "Donnie Brasco" star's death this week with a moving tribute to Anne on Instagram. Explaining that she needed time "to process the profound loss of my beautiful friend with the kindest soul I've known," Heather praised her friend and colleague for her honesty and loving nature, and for taking a "stand for equality" when she went public with her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in 1997. "We have come a long way because of her truth, bravery, and kindness in that moment 25 years ago when she chose to bring a woman as her date to the premiere of 'Volcano,'" Heather wrote. She also noted how "harshly" Anne was judged by some members of the press for dating Ellen. "She was way ahead of us, and we are all just catching up," Heather continued before addressing the late star directly: "Fly free, my friend. This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you." Anne's death on Sunday, Aug. 14, was ruled an accident by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner-Coroner on Wednesday. According to CNN, the coroner reported her death was caused by smoke inhalation and thermal injuries sustained when she crashed her car into a house in Los Angeles on Aug. 5. The accident caused a severe brain injury and coma from which Anne never regained consciousness. She was 53.

Prince Harry returned to Africa this week as part of his work as president of the nonprofit conservation group, African Parks, People reported. The Duke of Sussex also turned up in a handful of photos on Twitter after apparently traveling through Vilankulo Airport in Mozambique. A rep tells the outlet Harry is in Africa while "welcoming and co-hosting a group of U.S. officials, conservationists and philanthropists as they tour protected wildlife and nature areas." Speaking to the United Nations about conservation and climate change in July, Harry recalled how he fell in love with the continent of Africa on his first visit there when he was 13. "It's where I've felt closest to my [late] mother, [Princess Diana], and sought solace after she died," he said at the time, "and where I knew I had found a soulmate in my wife." Duchess Meghan accompanied her husband to New York City for his U.N. speech, but she reportedly skipped the trip to Africa this week.

Jon Gosselin, meanwhile, has accused Kate of blatant theft, telling The Sun his ex is living off their children's trust and dubbing her a "hypocrite."

In newly-unveiled 2019 legal documents, the "Kate Plus 8" star admitted to twice withdrawing $50,000 from the kids trust, adding, "I will have to keep borrowing from it to survive."

In fact, she claimed her eight children owe her money to make amends for her paying for their private school.

"So I mean I'm not looking to collect that but I borrowed $100,000 from the kids' trust," she claimed in the legal docs. "And it owes me $387,000 technically."

In the court filing, Kate said that assets from Hannah's and Collin's accounts were being used to "meet her and the children's expenses." Interestingly enough, Kate ended up buying a $750,000 lakeside home in North Carolina that same year. Jon insisted that Kate has yet to reimburse the children's accounts and said her justification for dipping into the trust is "crazy."

Hannah and Collin have been living with their dad since August 2021. Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah all live with Kate. The pair's older twins, Cara and Madelyn, are in college.

"It's disgusting and it's morally wrong," Jon told The Sun of the money matter. "Parents are not supposed to withdraw any money from these accounts without permission and without drawing up paperwork that they will pay it back — but she has produced no paperwork and no payments have been made. You can't just live off your kids' money."

"It makes me feel disgusted. She has been on TV telling the world she has saved her children's money when she's actually been stealing from them – she's a hypocrite," he continued. "There's been no remorse from her at all. Now they're 18 she thinks she can get away scott-free."

Jon said Colin and Hannah called their mother about the missing money recently.

"Hannah and Collin are really mad," he said. "Hannah called Kate the other day about it but Kate didn't seem to care. I don't know what the other children know about this money. I want them to know about this. Now Hannah and Collin are 18 – it's up to them to file a civil suit against her to get the money back. It's an obscene amount of money and it's their money."

Ryan and Eva, who met in 2011 while filming "The Place Beyond The Pines" together, are fiercely private and rarely give fans a peek into their personal lives. Although Eva has taken a break from acting, Ryan continues to take roles. In a chat with heat magazine, the "Barbie" actor said he thinks about he and Eva's two daughters — Esmeralda Amada Gosling, 7, and Amada Lee Gosling, 6 — when deciding on a project.

"I'm like a dad first, and part of the reason for doing the film ['The Gray Man'] was this opportunity for us to go to these interesting places and be there with my kids," Ryan said.

"From this experience I've learned that when you're body hurts, don't let it slide and take care of it, you must see different doctors until some of them find the problem and heals it," she said in October 2021 on Instagram. "Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important."

Nadya Suleman made international headlines back in 2009 when she welcomed octuplets. Those kids are now teenagers.

On Wednesday, Aug. 16, the proud mom shared a picture of the infamous children as the 13-year-olds headed off to school.

What's often forgotten is that Nadya was already the mother to six children when she welcomed the world's first-surviving octuplets. Nadya, 47, noted that the older siblings — several of whom are now legal adults — did not want their pictures shared.

"I respect their choice, so should you," she addressed her critics.

After the post, many of Nadya's followers applauded her for respecting her children's privacy and others commented on how beautiful her children are. The vast majority, though, couldn't believe the octo-kids are teenagers!

Last year, Nadya reflected on giving birth to the children, saying she never asked for the "Octomom" nickname.

"Octomom, conceived by the media, was birthed in the perfect storm: Between the Great Economic recession of 2007-2009, and the pinnacle of tabloid media sensationalism, I was the perfect prey; a convenient target, with a bullseye on my back, for people to blame their economic hardship on," she wrote on Instagram in August 2021. Nadya says she was "both cyber and physically stoned" by society back in 2009, recalling rocks being thrown at her house and car.

"The downside of elf ear surgery probably outweighs the upside," he suggested. Angelina Jolie says working with her kids on 'Without Blood' 'felt natural'

At least two of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six kids are already following in their parents' Hollywood footsteps. The former couple's sons, Maddox, 21, and Pax, 18, both worked in the assistant director's department on Angelina's upcoming directorial effort, "Without Blood," starring Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir. "We work well together," Angelina recently told People. "When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural." "Without Blood" was actually Pax's second time joining his mom at work behind-the-scenes, his first being her 2017 film, "First They Killed My Father," which he shot still for, according to People. Angelina's interview comes on the heels of her recent trip to Atlanta to drop off daughter Zahara, 17, at Spelman College, the HBCU where she's now a freshman. Asked what she's most proud of when it comes to her kids — she also shares daughter Shiloh, 16, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 14, with Brad — Angelina praised their unique spirits. "I'm proud that they are all very much their own people," she said. "Very different and still a very close family that learn from each other."

In the lyrics to Demi Lovato's new single, "29," the singer looks back on a past relationship with someone 12 years younger — an age gap that matches the difference in age between Demi, 29, and her 42-year-old ex, Wilmer Valderrama. And while she hasn't confirmed that's who inspired the track, Demi opened up about its heavy content — including issues of sexual consent — in a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Low. "I would be lying if I said I didn't have a ton of anxiety about putting out this song," said Demi, who uses they/them and she/her pronouns, according to People. In the first verse, Demi sings: "Petal on the vine / Too young to drink wine / Just five years a bleeder / Student and a teacher / Far from innocent / What the f*** is consent? / Numbers told you not to / But that didn't stop you." At other points in the song, the singer indicates that at 29, they wouldn't consider dating a 17-year-old. Despite her anxiety, Demi explained she decided to record the song because it's her "truth … and I do still walk that line very finely." Ultimately, she added, "I've learned that sometimes saying less is more. And it's taken me to 30 years old to maybe learn that, but here I am approaching the way that I express myself differently in front of the media because it's OK to have boundaries."

Kid Cudi reveals he had a stroke in rehab

Kid Cudi was battling more than depression when he checked himself into rehab in 2016. As the rapper and actor reveals in a new interview with Esquire, he suffered a stroke just two weeks after his mental health treatment began. He was subsequently hospitalized and underwent physical rehab on top of the mental health assistance he so badly needed at the time. For months, he battled slowed-down speech and movement while working on healing just about every part of himself. "Everything was f*****," he admits. He finally started to feel he was making progress in 2017 during an audition for the Broadway play, "Lobby Hero." Though he didn't get the part, he did have to memorize lines and perform them and he felt strong about how the experience went. "I proved to myself that I could do it," he explains. "I needed that at the time. I was happy. Like, damn, my brain is still strong. I didn't lose something in that s*** that happened." Six years after rehab and therapy, Kid Cudi is feeling a lot more whole. "I actually can say, at 38, that I love myself," he says. "And I couldn't have said that six years ago. I can say that with confidence now and truly believe it, and it shows." He's also determined to keep talking about his mental health issues. "It's a lot of pressure, but it keeps me alive. So I'll take it. It doesn't stress me out," he says. "It keeps me thinking, 'Nah … You gotta be here. Let old age take you out.'" Cudi's new animated Netflix series "Entergalactic" premieres Sept. 30.

Hollywood veteran Gina Lollobrigida, 95, announces Senate run in Italy

A 95-year-old veteran of Hollywood's Golden Age could be Italy's next rising star politician. Gina Lollobrigida, who got her start as a beauty pageant contestant and model in the '40s, made her Hollywood breakthrough in John Huston's "Beat the Devil" in 1954. The gorgeous star went on to juggle roles in both the U.S. and Europe opposite the likes of Burt Lancaster and Rock Hudson before launching a photojournalism career, according to Entertainment Weekly. She's now announced her run for Senate in the newly founded Sovereign and Popular Italy (ISP) party. "I was just tired of hearing politicians arguing with each other without ever getting to the point," she told Corriere della Sera in an interview published over the weekend. "I will fight for the people to decide, from health to justice. Italy is in bad shape, I want to do something good and positive." She added that Mahatma Gandhi "for his nonviolence" has served as an inspiration for her political aspirations.
