Kanye West dons 'White Lives Matter' shirt with woman who once dubbed Kim Kardashian a 'prostitute'

Kanye West is again making a shocking statement, and he's linking arms with a woman who recently demonized his ex-wife.

On Monday, Oct. 3, the rapper donned a shirt bearing the words "White Lives Matter" across the back. Not only was Kanye wearing the shirt, but so did right-wing commentator Candace Owens.

Candace even shared a Twitter image showing her and Ye linking arms in the attire. Candace provided no caption, instead letting the picture speak for itself.

The pairing, while not hugely surprising, comes just weeks after Candace went on a tangent about Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner.

"Kim Kardashian is a billionaire today, and she is, by the way, still selling sex," Candace said on her Daily Wire show on Sept. 15. "I now hold the opinion that Kim Kardashian is a prostitute. And I'm not going to edit this opinion: Kim Kardashian is a prostitute; her mother is a pimp — worse than a prostitute."

Kanye, for that matter, has sided with conservative politics for several years, which wasn't always the case. In 2005, he famously declared, "George Bush doesn't care about black people." However, 10 years later, Ye aligned himself with Donald Trump and was often seen sporting a Make America Great Again hat, a show of support for the former POTUS.

After wearing the "White Lives Matter" slogan, conservatives predictably applauded the clothing. Liberals predictably slammed the duo for the clothing choices.

Billy Eichner seems to blame homophobia for 'Bros' box office flop

Billy Eichner seems to be blaming straight people for the dismal box office receipts of his new gay rom-com.

The comedian had high hopes for "Bros," which he co-wrote and executive produced. After the first weekend of the highly-publicized film being in theaters, reports indicated that the movie only hauled in $4.8 million in the United States and Canada. It was expected to far exceed that number.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, Billy took to Twitter to explain the lower-than-expected turnout, and he all but blamed homophobia.

"Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore etc, straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn't show up for Bros. And that's disappointing but it is what it is," Billy wrote. "That's just the world we live in, unfortunately."

In the pre-release marketing effort, Billy leaned heavily into the fact that the film was the first of its kind, as it featured an entirely LGBTQIA+ cast.

"Everyone who ISN'T a homophobic weirdo should go see BROS tonight! You will have a blast!," the "Billy on the Street" star continued on Twitter. "And it *is* special and uniquely powerful to see this particular story on a big screen, esp for queer folks who don't get this opportunity often. I love this movie so much. GO BROS!!!"

Billy claimed that the audiences who did see the film are loving it.

"Last night I snuck in and sat in the back of a sold out theater playing 'Bros' in LA," he wrote. "The audience howled with laughter start to finish, burst into applause at the end and some were wiping away tears as they walked out. It was truly magical. Really. I am VERY proud of this movie."

Wonderwall.com is taking a look at some of the singers who've confirmed they've gone under the knife — or whose changing appearances have sparked speculation that they've had work done — starting with this singer, who celebrates her 38th birthday on Oct. 3, 2022… Ashlee Simpson stepped out of the shadow of big sister Jessica Simpson in 2004, launching her own MTV reality show that documented the making of her debut album, "Autobiography," which was a massive hit that topped the Billboard charts. A year after the release of her second album, "I Am Me," she made headlines for sporting a very different nose…

Though Ashlee Simpson debuted a much different nose in 2006, she refused to confirm she'd gone under the knife. She told People magazine at the time, "Everybody's already saying it, so I just don't talk about it." When pushed to confirm or deny the nose job, she replied, "Maybe. Who knows!" In 2007, her dad, Joe Simpson, confirmed it for her, telling Fox News, "Girls have their own ideas. Anyway, there was a real problem with her breathing and that was cured."

Joe Jonas opened up about his experience with injectables in 2022 after partnering with the Botox alternative Xeomin, a double-filtered more purified version of the botulinum toxin that's used to smooth wrinkles, frown lines and crow's feet. He said he loved the results, especially after using Xeomin to minimize a scar between his eyebrows. The pop star told Allure that he "didn't feel like I was a different person [by using it]" and that it "gave me that confidence that I think we all want to feel as we get older."

'Queen of Versailles' Florida mega-mansion sustains massive damage from Hurricane Ian

The Orlando mega-mansion at the center of the "The Queen of Versailles" documentary has been absolutely ravaged by Hurricane Ian, and its owner estimates damages could exceed $10 million.

"Versailles is a DISASTER! Water flooded the house and we can't even wrap our heads around the damage. Luckily we're ok," Jackie Siegel, known as the "The Queen of Versailles," tweeted on Friday, Sept. 30.

Jackie shared images and videos of the damage with TMZ, and they show several inches of standing water filling most of the ground floor. In addition, portions of the ceiling caved in and have significant water damage. Just before Hurricane Ian, workers finished laying 24-carat gold molding in the living room and pieces of it are on the floor. The outdoor patio was also under several inches of water.

"There's a flood coming into Versailles," she said in a video. "My back patio is a giant lake and all this water is coming into Versailles… This whole place is soaked."

TMZ said Jackie has begun the process of pumping water outside of the home, which is costing $100,000.

Modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France, the Siegel family home is rather infamous, largely due to the aforementioned 2012 documentary, which showcased the construction of the 90,000-square-foot mansion. Once dubbed the largest single-family house in America, the home has been under construction since 2004, but due to a series of setbacks over the last 18 years the family has yet to spend a night there.

Prior to Ian, Jackie and her husband, Westgate Resorts founder David Siegel, hoped to finish construction by 2023. Because of damages from the hurricane, that date has been pushed back. While the home's been under construction, the Siegel's have been living in a home about a mile away from Versailles.

To celebrate the fictional family that made us all want to be Keatons, Wonderwall.com is checking up on the cast of this beloved sitcom to find out what they're up to (and look like) today.

Rising young actor Michael J. Fox starred as Alex P. Keaton, the Wall Street Journal-reading conservative-minded teen who looked up to Republicans like Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan. Contrasting with his progressive, liberal-leaning family, Alex's primary goals were to attend an Ivy League school and to get rich using "Reaganomics."

By the time "Family Ties" ended in 1989, Michael J. Fox was already a husband, father and bona fide superstar. Headlining box office films like "Teen Wolf" and "Back to the Future" (as well as the sequels), Michael's career in Hollywood seemed unshakable. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor, who married his "Family Ties" co-star Tracy Pollan a year before the show ended, continued to make films like "Casualties of War," "Cold Blooded," "Life with Mikey," "Mars Attacks!" and more and lent his voice to popular animated characters in films like "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey," "Stuart Little" and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire." In 1996, Michael returned to the small screen with "Spin City," earning himself two additional Golden Globes and another Emmy over his next four years on the show. Incredibly, Michael achieved all of these successes while privately battling a diagnosis of early-onset Parkinson's disease, which was rapidly progressing, making it impossible to hide from the public. In 1998, Michael bravely shared the news of his diagnosis with the world and in 2000 made the decision to retire from acting to focus on his health and to launch the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for this debilitating disease. But his retirement was short-lived. Following the 2002 release of his first of four memoirs, he returned to the small screen as a guest star on several TV shows. In 2006, he landed his first recurring role in years on "Boston Legal." Since then, he's appeared on "Rescue Me," "The Good Wife" and spinoff "The Good Fight" and the short-lived "The Michael J. Fox Show." Michael is still happily married to Tracy, with whom he has four kids, after more than 30 years.

Meredith Baxter starred as architect, mom, wife and general bad a** Elyse Keaton on "Family Ties." Elyse was a work-from-home mom who, like every woman in the world, struggled to find a balance between her family, work and personal passions. What made her incredible was that she didn't apologize for making more money than her husband or pursuing a career she loved.

Reeling from a divorce the same year "Family Ties" came to an end, mom of five and Emmy nominee Meredith Baxter kept busy, starring in 13 made-for-TV movies and one big-screen film over the next five years. In 1996, Meredith landed her first recurring TV role since "Family Ties" on the short-lived comedy series "The Faculty," which was canceled after just one season. She continued to star in TV movies such as "The Inheritance" and "Miracle in the Woods" before appearing on two episodes of "Spin City" to comically play the mother of Michael J. Fox's Mike Flaherty, much to fans' delight. Since 1997, Meredith has appeared in at least 20 made-for-TV movies and four films and enjoyed recurring roles on numerous TV shows including "Cold Case," "Family Guy," "Dan vs." "The Neighbors," "The Young and the Restless" and "Finding Carter." In 2009, Meredith publicly shared with the world that she's a lesbian. Two years later, she released the memoir "Untied: A Memoir of Family, Fame, and Floundering." In 2013, Meredith married longtime partner Nancy Locke.

Michael Gross played light-hearted and lovable dad Steven Keaton on "Family Ties." Steven was an ex-hippie and father of four who worked as a manager for a local radio station.

Stage and screen actor Michael Gross appeared in the made-for-TV movie "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" the same year "Family Ties" ended and followed that up with a role in the thriller "Tremors" alongside Kevin Bacon. Michael continued to work on the small screen too, appearing in TV movies like "With a Vengeance," "Avalanche," "Hijacked: Flight 285," "The Making of a Hollywood Madam" and "Batman Beyond: The Movie" while also appearing on the big screen in smaller movies. In 2000, he returned to the theater for the first time in two decades to appear in a Broadway production of Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and that same year, he appeared on an episode of "Spin City" as Michael J. Fox's character's therapist. In 2001, Michael took on a recurring role on the hit medical drama "ER" and in 2003, he appeared on the TV series "Tremors." Over the years, Michael's made numerous appearances on shows like "The Drew Carey Show," "Medium," "Boston Legal," "Parks and Recreation," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Last Man Standing," "The Affair" and, more recently, "Grace & Frankie" from 2015 to 2019, the year he also appeared in the holiday-themed flick "Noelle."

Justine Bateman starred as Mallory Keaton, the oldest sister on "Family Ties." Throughout the series, Mallory was portrayed as somewhat of an airhead with a great sense of style. Even though her character was meant to be a contrast to her smarter older brother, Alex, Mallory often surprised herself and others with her intellect and wisdom.

After leaving "Family Ties," Justine Bateman transitioned to the big screen, appearing in films like "The Closer," "Primary Motive," "The Night We Never Met" and "Say You'll Be Mine." Justine, who happens to be the older sister of actor-director Jason Bateman, also kept one foot in television, appearing over the years on shows like "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "Men Behaving Badly," "Out of Order," "Californication," "Desperate Housewives" and "Easy to Assemble." After marrying real estate developer Mark Fluent in 2001, Justine — an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress — continued to work on screen but by 2008, she was ready for something different. In addition to making her directorial debut with the TV documentary "Speechless," Justine also wrote her first TV script — for the series "Wizards of Waverly Place." She also made headlines for going to college in her 40s, graduating from UCLA with a degree in computer science and management in 2016. But this mom of two isn't finished making her mark in Hollywood. She wrote and directed the 2021 drama "Violet" starring Olivia Munn and Justin Theroux and appeared in the comedy flick "The Allnighter" in 2022.

Tina Yothers starred as determined and often stubborn younger sister Jennifer Keaton on "Family Ties." Jennifer was a tomboy who wasn't afraid to stand up to her older brother or parents when she knew she was right.

In recent years, Tina Yothers has been a California-based stay-at-home mom, she told Entertainment Weekly in 2015. (She's seen here in 2012.) In fact, the former child star has remained low-key since "Family Ties" ended in 1989, appearing in just a handful of made-for-TV films and TV shows including "Laker Girls" in 1990 and "Married with Children" in 1996. We briefly saw Tina again in 2008 when she appeared on Season 6 of "Celebrity Fit Club" as she sought to lose weight following the births of her children, Lillian Grace in 2005 and Robert Jake in 2007. We wouldn't see her again until 2012, when she appeared alongside her husband, Robert Kaiser, on an episode of "Celebrity Wife Swap."

The adorable Brian Bonsall starred as youngest brother Andy Keaton on "Family Ties." Andy was often seen as older brother Alex's mini-me, humorously parroting many of his conservative values throughout the series.

After a brief career in Hollywood following the end of "Family Ties," including roles on shows like "Shades of L.A." and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and in films such as "Father Hood" and "Blank Check," Brian Bonsall walked away from acting in 1994 at 13. Ten years later, he was arrested in Boulder, Colorado, on suspicion of drunk driving. Over the next few years, Brian repeatedly turned up in the press for alleged criminal behavior, which included 2007 and 2010 arrests for domestic violence. In 2017, he married girlfriend Courtney, whom he's called his "best friend." They welcomed their first child, son Oliver, in 2019. The once troubled star has also been focused on a music career, most recently with the indie punk band Sunset Silhouette (he sings and plays guitar). In 2019, they released their first LP, "Far Beyond Suburbia," and continued to perform in the Denver area.

Scott Valentine (center) starred as Nick Moore, Mallory's hunky artist boyfriend on "Family Ties." Nick was a major heartthrob who drove Mallory's dad crazy by always saying "Aaay!"

You're not going to believe where Scott Valentine ended up after melting our hearts on "Family Ties." He appeared in numerous made-for-TV movies like "Without Her Consent," "Dangerous Pursuit," "After the Shock" and "The Secret Passion of Robert Clayton." He also appeared in "Killer Instinct," "To Sleep With a Vampire," "The Unborn II" and "Till the End of the Night," although none were able to catapult his career to the next level. Scott even continued to act on television dramas including "Phantom 2040" and "Black Scorpion." By the early aughts, the former heartthrob was ready to take on a new challenge: real estate and venture capitalism. He became a managing partner for the investment firm Merit Capital and by 2005 was on the move once again, this time as a managing director at Excelsior Capital, a position he still holds today. He hasn't completely ditched the acting bug, however: He appeared in two short films in 2019 and 2022.

Marc Price starred as Alex's close friend Irwin "Skippy" Handelman on "Family Ties." Skippy was the accident-prone sidekick who was secretly head-over-heels in love with Alex's sister Mallory.

Marc Price appeared in a handful of films like "Killer Tomatoes Eat France!" and "Little Devils: The Birth" and made-for-TV movies like "Class Cruise" and "Teen Win, Lose or Draw" and made a near-seamless transition from acting to working as a stand-up comedian, following in the footsteps of his famous father, Al Bernie. He's opened for top comics like Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld and has worked behind the scenes as a producer on shows like "Comedians Unleashed," "Funny Money" and the one-hour Showtime special he created in 2010, "Green Collar Comedy Show." He continues to perform in comedy shows across the country.

On Sept. 27, TMZ broke the news that Kenan Thompson's ex-wife, Christina Evangeline, is dating his former "Saturday Night Live" co-star Chris Redd, who also appeared on 20 episodes of his short-lived sitcom "Kenan." According to the webloid's sources, Christina and Chris became official sometime within the past year — long after she and Kenan started living separate lives several years ago — and there's "no bad blood" between the two comedians.

The Big C

Katie Couric has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The legendary newswoman made the health reveal on her website on Sept. 28, noting that she's been living with the news for a few months. "June 21, 2022, was the first day of summer, my 8th wedding anniversary, and the day I found out I had breast cancer." She added, "I felt sick and the room started to spin. I was in the middle of an open office, so I walked to a corner and spoke quietly, my mouth unable to keep up with the questions swirling in my head." Katie had surgery in July to remove a tumor from her breast and she underwent radiation, which ended this week.

Final texts

In the days leading up to his death, Anthony Bourdain was not the jovial man his audience came to know and adore. Instead, he was fed up with his fans, his fame and his relationship with actress Asia Argento, a new book claims, as reported by The New York Times on Sept. 27. Many of the Anthony's last texts appear in the unauthorized biography "Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain," which gives some insight into the famous chef's state of mind and hits shelves on Oct. 11. "I hate my fans, too. I hate being famous. I hate my job," he apparently wrote to his ex-wife Ottavia Busia-Bourdain. "I am lonely and living in constant uncertainty." The famous chef was also "incensed" after seeing images of Asia dancing with another man. "I am okay. I am not spiteful. I am not jealous that you have been with another man. I do not own you. You are free. As I said. As I promised. As I truly meant," he allegedly texted Asia one day before his death. He added, "But you were careless. You were reckless with my heart. My life."

R.I.P.

Coolio, one of the most influential rappers of the '90s, passed away at 59 on Sept. 28. According to reports, the "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper was found in the bathroom of a friend's house in Los Angeles. It's believed that he suffered a heart attack, but those reports are unconfirmed. TMZ reported that police sources confirmed drugs or paraphernalia were not found in the bathroom. Medics reportedly worked for 45 minutes to revive Coolio. After his death, many celebrities honored the "Fantastic Voyage" rapper. "I remember him being nothing but gracious. 30 years later I still get chills when I hear 'Gangsta's Paradise,'" "Dangerous Minds" star Michelle Pfeiffer shared on social media.

Proposal rejection

Khloe Kardashian rejected a marriage proposal from Tristan Thompson, she revealed on the Sept. 28 episode of "The Kardashians." The reality TV star never even told her family about the proposal because she wasn't "proud" of the union, she said. "I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I'm engaged to anyone. And that's why I said I'm not comfortable accepting this right now because I'm not excited to tell my family," Khloe told sister Kim Kardashian. "As hurtful as that probably was for him to hear it was the truth. I'm not ever gonna accept something and give someone false hope." Tristan welcomed a child with fitness trainer Maralee Nichols in December 2021, news that came as a surprise to Khloe and torpedoed their relationship.

Prison situation

Ryan Grantham, the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" actor who was convicted last week of killing his own mother, is scared he'll become a victim of abuse in prison because of his slight stature. His lawyer is trying to get him into a medium security prison. Chris Johnson, a lawyer for the actor, told TMZ on Sept. 27 that Ryan could be "physically, psychologically and sexually intimidated" by hardened criminals. Although Ryan is 24, he has a slim stature, weighing about 100 lbs and standing just 5-foot-2. The lawyer feels that age, size and mental state should all be considered for prison housing. Six months ago, Ryan pleaded guilty to a second-degree murder for the 2020 death of his mom, Barbara Waite. Prosecutors alleged that Ryan shot his mother in the back of the head as she played piano at her home. He then had plans to assassinate Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau but turned himself into police before doing anything.

Family news

Sarah Jessica Parker caused quite the stir when she abruptly left New York City Ballet's 10th Annual Fall Fashion Gala on Sept. 28. Shortly after, a source told Page Six she exited due to a "sudden devastating family situation." Then, on Sept. 29, SJP announced she left to be by the side of her stepfather during his final breaths. "Our family is sad to announce that after an unexpected and rapid illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at age 76," the "Sex and the City" star's family said in a Sept. 29 statement. "In his last moments he was surrounded with the love and gratitude of his adored wife Barbara of 54 years, and children, including Sarah Jessica Parker." The statement continued, "Paul will be remembered with the spirit of loving kindness which was his faith, his special delight in his 13 grandchildren, and his sustained belief in making the world a more charitable, tolerant, and beautiful place for all."

Carrie Underwood's upcoming tour plans are fueling marriage trouble: Report

Carrie Underwood's marriage is hanging by a thread and her upcoming tour is at the center of the discord, claims a new report.

A source tells RadarOnline that Carrie's husband, Mike Fisher, is growing tired of being a stay-at-home dad and wants to pursue a career as a professional hockey coach. The country music singer, though, is not a fan of Mike, a former NHL player, traveling so much again. Instead, she wants him to travel with her and their children — Isaiah, 7, and Jacob, 3 — on her upcoming 43-date concert tour, her longest concert trek ever.

"Carrie says she can't function without her family with her on tour, and she doesn't want to slough the kids off on a babysitter," the source said. "But for Mike, when he goes along on Carrie's tours, it's a lot of chasing their kids around!"

Mike, Radar alleges, is beginning to see his 12-year marriage as one-sided.

"Mike gets a lot of offers to go into coaching. But when he brings it up to Carrie, she says absolutely not," the friend said. "She reminds him when he was playing traveling all over North America, they barely saw each other."

After a 20-year NHL career, Mike retired in 2018. Still, he wants to be around the game, which has left their marriage at a crossroads, claims the report.

"He has dreams too," the source reportedly close to the couple said. "You just feel if the two of them can't reach a happy medium in their personal and professional lives, their marriage is doomed!"

This is hardly the first time the couple has been hit with marriage-trouble rumors. This time, though, fans are pointing to Mike's absence from Carrie's Instagram. Although Mike did appear in a Sept. 15 post, the video was actually a throwback from three years earlier. Prior to that, Mike was seen in a June photo on Carrie's Instagram — that was also a throwback. Further, Mike was not with Carrie at a taping of CMT Giants earlier this month, but they did recently have a date night. He also attended the Grammy Awards with her in April.

"She puts on a happy show for the cameras, but there's a lot going on behind the scenes," a source told OK Magazine in June. "If you ask people who know them, they'll say [their marriage] is far from picture perfect. The truth is they've had issues for years."

Fred Ward, who was already an established actor by the time he landed his "Sweet Home Alabama" role, appeared in a handful of lesser known films before going on a brief acting hiatus in 2006. He made his return to the small screen with appearances on "ER" and "Grey's Anatomy." His last credited role came in 2015 on an episode of "True Detective." Fred died at 79 in May 2022.

On Aug. 2, 203, former "The Bachelorette" star Gabby Windey revealed that she's in a relationship with a woman, making her the show's first queer lead. (Other Bachelor Nation shows have previously featured gay leads — more on that later!)

"I have been seeing someone for a couple months, and I've been keeping it a little more private because it is a bigger story and a bigger conversation because I'm dating a girl," she said on "The View."

Added the reality star of her sexuality, "I think it was always a whisper in me that just got louder and louder, and I didn't really know to pay attention to it. I think, you know, when this happens, there's some shame, obviously, surrounding it. So I think I had to, a little bit, navigate through the shame, like, what is it? Where is it coming from? But ultimately, like I said, I always just want to kind of like, do me, do what I want, figure it out later."

The former reality TV star later revealed on Instagram that her girlfriend is comedian and TV writer Robby Hoffman. "Told you I'm a girls girl!!" she captioned a slideshow of photos with her love.

Gabby first competed for Clayton Echard's heart on season 26 of "The Bachelor" before getting engaged to Erich Schwer on season 19 of "The Bachelorette." They split a few months later.

"Bros" — which hits theaters on Sept. 30, 2022 — made history when it became the the first gay romantic comedy released by a major movie studio. The Universal Pictures release features Billy Eichner, who's now the first openly gay man to co-write, executive produce and star in a major studio film. The comedy also featured an entirely LGBTQ+ cast.

Actor-comedian Molly Kearney became the first out nonbinary cast member on "Saturday Night Live" when the NBC sketch-comedy show kicked off its 48th season in October 2022. The performer — who uses the gender-neutral pronouns they/them — previously appeared on the Amazon Prime Video series "A League of Their Own" and on Disney+'s "The Mighty Ducks."

During an early 2021 interview with Time magazine, the Brothers Osborne frontman T.J. Osborne publicly came out — and officially became the first and only openly gay man signed to a major label in the country music genre. "I'm very proud to put this out there. I want to let you all know that have gotten to know me over the years, that person you know is me — and now you just know more about me," the country crooner — who noted that he'd been out to his friends and family for years — later said in an Instagram video.

Back in 1997, Ellen DeGeneres publicly came out as a lesbian on the cover of Time magazine: "Yep, I'm Gay," read the headline. She then appeared on the April 30, 1997, episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and spoke with the talk show host about her potentially career-ending news. Just hours later, an episode of her then-popular ABC sitcom, "Ellen," saw her character also come out to her therapist, who was played by Oprah. It was a huge pop culture moment: Her "Ellen" character, Ellen Morgan, officially became the first gay character to lead a TV show while the real-life Ellen became the first openly gay actress to portray a lesbian on television. Years later, while reconnecting with Oprah during a 2015 Master Class interview, Ellen reflected on the milestone, sharing that though she received backlash, the experience of publicly coming out also allowed her to deeply connect with fans: "I remember the first letter I got, where somebody said I saved their life. They were going to kill themselves and they didn't because of what I did," she said.

Laverne Cox is officially a Barbie girl! In honor of the history-making actress's 50th birthday on May 29, 2022, Mattel released a special Tribute Collection Barbie doll in her likeness — the very first trans Barbie! "What excites me most about her being out in the world is that trans young people can see her and maybe get to purchase her and play with her, and know that there's a Barbie made by Mattel, for the first time, in the likeness of a trans person," the "Orange Is the New Black" alum told People magazine of the honor. The four-time Emmy nominee went on to explain why Barbie in particular means so much to her: "I begged my mother for a Barbie doll and she said no because I was assigned male at birth. And when I was in my 30s, I was in therapy and telling my therapist that I was denied the opportunity to play with Barbie dolls. And my therapist said, 'It's never too late to have a happy childhood, and what you should do for your inner child is go out and buy yourself a Barbie doll,'" she explained.

In 2014 — after decades of primarily cisgender actors portraying transgender characters on screen — trans performers finally saw a major change in the tides. That year, trans actress Laverne Cox blazed a trail for her peers with her work on "Orange Is the New Black." The show's breakout star picked up an Emmy nomination for her work on the dramedy, marking the first time an openly transgender person earned a nomination in an acting category. She went on to score three more Emmy nominations for her work as Sophia Burset — a trans woman in prison for credit card fraud — on the hit Netflix series.

Billy Porter made LGBTQ+ history at the 2019 Emmys when he was named best actor for his work on "Pose" and officially became the first openly gay Black man to win the award for best lead actor. On a March 2019 episode of Jameela Jamil's Instagram show "I Weigh Interviews," British singer Sam Smith came out as nonbinary. "I'm not male or female. I think I float somewhere in between," said the Grammy winner, who still preferred male pronouns at the time. Later that year, however, the "Stay with Me" chart-topper took to Instagram to announce that they were officially adopting they/them pronouns. (It was one of the first times a major celebrity opened up publicly about being nonbinary and changing pronouns!)

In 1998 — shortly after Ellen DeGeneres came out and paved the way for better representation of LGBTQ+ characters and actors on television — "Will & Grace" debuted on NBC. It was the first primetime sitcom to feature gay characters as leads and went on to become a massive hit. Eric McCormack played the titular Will Truman, a gay lawyer whose comic foil, gay actor Jack McFarland, was brought to life by Sean Hayes. (Megan Mullally and Debra Messing rounded out the cast.)

"Brokeback Mountain" was a huge deal in 2005: It marked the first time a same-sex romance succeeded with both critics and audiences in a significant way. The film centers around two cowboys in early '60s Wyoming who fall in love but succumb to the societal pressures of the time to hide their romance. The award season darling earned multiple Academy Award nominations — including acting noms for stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal — and ended up winning three including best director for Ang Lee as well as best adapted screenplay and best original score.

In 2019, Bachelor Nation featured a same-sex couple for the very first time. On season 6 of "Bachelor in Paradise," Demi Burnett — who competed for Colton Underwood's heart on season 23 of "The Bachelor" (more on him next) — chose Kristian Haggerty, a woman she briefly dated during a break between the two shows, over male contestant Derek Peth. After Demi shared that she'd been seeing a woman back home, producers invited Kristian — who'd never appeared on a Bachelor Nation franchise before — to join the series. The two women picked up right where they left off and got engaged on the season finale. (Ultimately, however, it wasn't meant to be.)

The first gay Bachelor! On an April 2021 episode of "Good Morning American," former professional football player Colton Underwood, who starred on the 23rd season of "The Bachelor," publicly came out. "I've ran from myself for a long time. I've hated myself for a long time. And I'm gay. And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. And the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know," said the reality star, who previously dated women but was known for joining Bachelor Nation as a virgin. (He even earned the nickname The Virgin Bachelor.) Later, he told Variety that while in the closet, he learned to "hide in plain sight behind a football mask and hunting and fishing and the things that this world tells us is 'masculine' and 'manly.'"

The 1994 ABC series "My So-Called Life" featured Wilson Cruz's Rickie Vasquez — the first openly gay Latino teen on television. In 2017, Wilson — who's also openly gay — opened up to Time about taking on the iconic and groundbreaking role: "It was life-altering," he said. "People come up to me all the time to tell me how much the show and character affected them, and I always tell them it meant just as much to me. Because that role literally saved my life. It saved my relationship with my family, and it changed the trajectory of my career. It was an honor to play him."

Ryan Murphy's "Pose" made waves when it debuted on FX in 2018. The '80s-set drama — on which Michaela Jaé Rodriguez starred — focused on New York City's predominantly Black and Latino LGBTQ+ ballroom scene amid the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The groundbreaking series, which came to an end after three seasons, featured the largest cast of transgender actors to appear in lead roles on any show in television history. But that's not all… In 2022, MJ won the Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a TV drama — and became the first trans actress to win a Globe in a major acting category. (The previous year, she became the first transgender person in history to score an Emmy nomination in a lead acting category.) Plus, when Janet Mock directed the sixth episode of the first season, she became the first transgender woman of color to write and direct any episode of television EVER!

A June 2021 episode of "Sesame Street" made history when it introduced the show's first family with two gay fathers. "Sesame Street has always been a welcoming place of diversity and inclusion. So I'm so excited to introduce Nina's brother Dave, his husband Frank and their daughter Mia to our sunny street," star Alan Muraoka, who also co-directed the episode, wrote on Facebook. "Love is love, and we are so happy to add this special family to our Sesame family."

The 2000s ushered in an all-new perspective on gay romance. On a 2000 episode of The WB's teen drama "Dawson's Creek," Kerr Smith's character, Jack McPhee, kissed his on-screen boyfriend, Adam Kauffman's Ethan. The sweet lip lock went down in history: It was the first time a real kiss between two men aired on primetime television.

Lil Nas X gave music fans a pretty cool first in 2019: On the last day of Pride Month that June — while his smash hit "Old Town Road" continued to dominate the charts and break sales records — he came out as gay on Twitter. "Some of y'all already know, some of y'all don't care, some of y'all [aren't gonna mess with me] no more. But before this month ends I want y'all to listen closely to [my song] 'C7osure,'" he tweeted. He concluded his message with a rainbow emoji — and became the first artist to come out while simultaneously topping the charts with the No. 1 song in America.

In the summer of 2021 — less than a year after JoJo Siwa publicly came out as queer — the former child star partnered up with Jenna Johnson to become the first same-gender duo to compete together on "Dancing With the Stars." Said the "Dance Moms" alum of the history-making move, "I'm excited that I get to do it. I think it breaks a wall that's never been broken down before. … Not only do I now get to share with the world that you get to love who you want to love, but also, you get to dance with who you want to dance with. I think it's really special. … There [are] a lot of barriers that we're going to have to break through. Who leads? How do you dress? What shoes do you wear? But I think it's all something that I'm looking forward to." Said host Tyra Banks at the time, "You're making history, JoJo. This is history."

The film "Moonlight" got eclipsed by the infamous mix-up at the 2017 Academy Awards during which Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway erroneously announced that "La La Land" won the Oscar for best picture — a distracted accountant handed them the wrong envelope — while "Moonlight" was the true victor. But after the dust settled and the error was corrected, "Moonlight" made headlines for another reason: It became the first film centered around LGBTQ+ characters to win the prestigious Oscar for best picture!

A short film with a massive impact! In 2020, the Pixar animated SparkShorts film "Out," which centers around a young man who comes out to his parents with the help of his pet dog, debuted on Disney+. It's the first time Pixar, an animation studio under the Disney umbrella, has released a project featuring a gay lead character — a huge moment for LGBTQ+ kiddos and families watching from home!

Though it seems totally commonplace now, the family-friendly ABC sitcom "Modern Family" made waves when it debuted in 2009 by including a long-term same sex couple among its leads. The partners — Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Mitchell and Eric Stonestreet's Cameron — went on to adopt a child and to marry over the course of the long-running series, which highlighted same-sex parenting and helped normalize its depiction on primetime TV.

The American version of "Queer as Folk" — which is based on a British series of the same name — debuted on Showtime in 2000. The drama quickly became a huge hit — it was the No. 1 show on the premium cable channel at the time. It was also the first American television drama to revolve around the lives of gay men and women. Over the course of its five-season run, it touched on issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community like coming out, same sex marriage, adoption and discrimination in the workplace. A reboot (featuring Kim Cattrall, Juliette Lewis, Ed Begley Jr. and Nyle DiMarco in recurring roles) is set to debut on Peacock on June 9, 2022.

Throughout the 2000s, Showtime continued to set the bar for quality television depicting the LGBTQ+ community. Their next popular offering? "The L Word," the first TV drama primarily centered around lesbians. The show premiered in 2004 and ran for six seasons until 2009, picking up a cult following along the way. In 2019, Showtime dropped a sequel series, "The L Word: Generation Q," which the network renewed for a third season in early 2022.

In 2019, an openly gay woman competed in the Miss Universe pageant for the very first time. Miss Universe Myanmar Swe Zin Htet came out as a lesbian in an interview posted on the Missosology forum shortly before the pageant kicked off in Atlanta that December. "I want the world to accept the LGBTQ+ community and their right to choose their own path and pursuit of happiness," she said, as reported by CNN. "We should always have the freedom of choice and promote equality."

Gay representation spread to teen flicks with 2018's "Love, Simon." The critically acclaimed film became the first mainstream teen rom-com to feature a gay lead. It also spawned a TV show — "Love, Victor" — that premiered on Hulu in 2020.

In June 2021, Kataluna Enriquez was crowned Miss Nevada USA and officially became the first transgender woman to win a competition in the pageant's history. "My community, you are always in my heart. My win is our win. We just made history. Happy pride," she captioned a photo of herself on Instagram.

In 2019, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez became the first trans woman of color to portray Audrey in a major production of the cult musical "Little Shop of Horrors." But she wasn't the only member of the LGBTQ+ community to headline director Mike Donahue's iteration of the beloved horror-comedy — which debuted in 1982 — at the Pasadena Playhouse in the Los Angeles area. Broadway star George Salazar, who's gay, starred as Seymour Krelborn.

It may not seem that revolutionary now, but the original iteration of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" (starring Thom Filicia, Ted Allen, Carson Kressley, Kyan Douglas and Jai Rodriguez) made a major impact on American audiences when it debuted on Bravo back in 2003. The reality show — which saw members of the LGBTQ+ community helping transform the lives and looks of straight men — was completely unprecedented. In 2018, Netflix rebooted the series as "Queer Eye" with Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk and Jonathan Van Ness. An upcoming seventh season is reportedly in the works.

Miles Teller broke royal protocol at 'Top Gun: Maverick' premiere because he got 'lost' in Prince William's eyes

Woopsy. It seems Miles Teller broke royal protocol when he met Prince William and Duchess Kate at the "Top Gun: Maverick" premiere in London earlier this year. His excuse? He got "lost" in "Prince William's eyes." During a chat with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" on Wednesday (Sept. 28), Miles admitted that he "messed up" immediately when he was introduced to the royals. "You're not supposed to extend your hand right off the bat unless they do. But I felt the vibe, so I'm like, 'I'm going in, I'm going in,'" he recalled with a laugh (via Entertainment Tonight). Despite being given a run-through of royal "dos and don'ts" prior to the couple's arrival, Miles said he got thrown off when it came time to actually say hello. "To their credit, they were very disarming," he explained. When Jimmy showed the audience a photo of Miles and William shaking hands, the actor joked: "I think right there, I'm honestly lost in Prince William's, in his eyes … I mean, blue as the bluest ocean, Jimmy, what do you want? Bora Bora." As for Kate, the star said she's "beautiful and very cordial" and "regal" but "with William," he added, "… I don't know. I just blacked out." Still, Miles thinks he has the prince in his corner going forward. "I think he's a lifelong fan now," he quipped. "I was just picking up what he was putting down."

Selena Gomez urges fans to use 'kind words' after spotting 'vile' online hate

Selena Gomez addressed fans on TikTok Live this week in a serious post about "vile" online hate. The singer and Rare Beauty creator's video surfaced just one day after Hailey Bieber discussed the timeline of her relationship with her husband (and Selena's ex) Justin Bieber, on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. Though Selena didn't mention Hailey in the video, a slew of fans made it clear in comments on Twitter that they assume she was responding to hateful online reactions to Hailey's interview. "I think some of the things that I don't even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting, and it's not fair, and no one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner that I've seen," Selena told fans on Thursday (Sept. 29), according to TooFab. "All I have to say is, it's incredibly ironic that I would release something that is all about kind words, because that's exactly what I want," she continued, referencing her Rare Beauty line and its stated mental health mission. "If you support Rare, I cannot thank you enough, but know that you are also representing what it means. And that is — words matter …," Selena added. "I just want all of you to know, that I hope that you understand that this is much bigger than anything else. And I'm really grateful to all of you for hearing me out. So, have a wonderful rest of your day." In her podcast chat, Hailey said there was no crossover between her romance with Justin and Selena's, despite what fans have long suggested on social media. Hailey also confirmed she's been in touch with Selena in recent years. "That's why I'm like, it's all respect. It's all love," the model explained. "That's also why I feel like if everybody on our side knows what happened and we're good and we could walk away from it with clarity and respect, then, like, that's fine."

Maren Morris defends 'heated' response to Brittany Aldean's transphobic comments

Country star Maren Morris says she got "heated" when she responded to Jason and Brittany Aldean's recent transphobic comments on Instagram because "we're talking about people's lives." In a new interview pegged to GLAAD's upcoming Spirit Day campaign to fight LGBTQ youth bullying, Maren explained that becoming a mom has "amplified" her "empathy bone," making her more sensitive to disinformation, particularly when it comes to trans youth. "There are a lot of people that believe things that are just untrue about trans youth and gender-affirming care and what it actually entails," she explained. "When we talk about having these hard conversations and doing it with a loving heart, yeah, it's coming from a good place. But I don't think you can do this all the time with sunshine and rainbows," the singer added. "I think you need to have the tough conversations so people can understand what's going on. You can save someone's life by having the right information." Last month, Maren called out influencer Brittany Aldean after she said in a makeup tutorial, "I'd really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase." Critics, famous and otherwise, immediately slammed Brittany for so casually dismissing issues around trans youth and their right to identify with whatever gender makes sense to them. (Brittany's husband, singer Jason Aldean, chimed in to support his wife in the comments.) Over on Twitter, meanwhile, Maren told Brittany, among other things, "sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie." Maren was also asked about her recent comments to the Los Angeles Times about possibly skipping the Country Music Awards this year. "Do I feel like for three hours that night [I want to] have a weird energy with people?" she asked the GLAAD rep. "I don't know."

Anne Heche's estate battle heats up as her son denies 'vile' claims made by the late star's ex in new filing

Anne Heche's 20-year-old son, Homer Lafoon, filed additional documents this week in his battle with Anne's ex, James Tupper, for control of the late star's estate. In the new filing, Homer takes issue with multiple aspects of James' attempts to validate the terms of a document he says constitutes Anne's will. James, who's the father of Anne's younger son Atlas, 13, previously claimed Anne emailed him a will in 2011 and asked the court to either appoint a "neutral third party private professional fiduciary or, alternately, himself as executor of Anne's estate," according to Entertainment Tonight. James also claimed in the filing that Homer wasn't "suitable" to manage the estate because of his age, his unemployment status, his alleged estrangement from his mom before her death and his alleged lack of communication with his half-brother Atlas since then. Homer denies those allegations in the new filing, calling them "inaccurate and unfounded," asserting that it's James who interfered with his attempts to see Atlas that created any disconnect he now has with his little brother. Homer also calls the claim he was estranged from his mother when she died "vile" and false. Finally, Homer's new docs assert the 2011 document Anne emailed James isn't a valid will, as the signature on it is neither Anne's nor was it witnessed by two people, as required by law.

Karl Lagerfeld inspires 2023 Met Gala theme

On Friday (Sept. 30), organizers of the annual Met Gala announced the 2023 event's theme will honor late Chanel, Fendi and Chloe designer Karl Lagerfeld. Set for the first Monday in May, the fashion event coincides with an exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute called "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," that looks at the journey of Karl's designs from sketch to garment, according to the New York Times. Twitter's reaction to the news was a (predictable) mix of glee and horror, with much of Hollywood seemingly avoiding the topic altogether. That's probably because of the late designer's reputation for making anti-Semitic, racist and "fatphobic" comments. "Oooh, people can show up on the red carpet and recite their favorite Karl Lagerfeld quotes about fat people, sexual assault, immigrants and the Holocaust," griped one user. "So many to choose from. Bravo, Anna Wintour." Others defended the choice and pointed to the designer's undeniable impact on fashion history and the Met Gala itself. Celebs who've opted for Karl's Chanel designs for the annual benefit gala include Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart, Mary-Kate Olson, Dakota Johnson, Penelope Cruz and Anna Wintour, who "almost exclusively wears Chanel Haute Couture to the annual fundraiser," according to Page Six. The 2022 Met Gala celebrated "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" as its theme and saw Kim Kardashian infamously donning one of Marilyn Monroe's most famous dresses for the red carpet.

Nick Cannon welcomes baby No. 10

Nick Cannon's family has grown once again. The "Masked Singer" host announced the birth of his tenth child — his third with Brittany Bell — on Friday (Sept. 30), a "fellow Libra" named Rise Messiah Cannon, according to a post on Nick's Instagram. "Another Blessing!!! As my journey on this planet becomes more and more remarkable and unfathomable, all I can do is thank God and continue to ask the Most High to order my steps," Nick wrote, adding an acknowledgement that his brood's "dynamic" is "to some unimaginable." He went on to gush about everything Brittany has taught him about "about parenting, psychology, spirituality, love and just life in general," and described the "BlessingWay" they held in lieu of a traditional baby shower. According to Nick, Rise's birth was "probably the most difficult labor and delivery" he's ever seen … and he's seen, um, quite a bit. Rise was born less than two weeks after Nick welcomed a new baby girl, Onyx Ice, with model Lanisha Cole. He's reportedly expecting his eleventh child soon, as well — with Abby de la Rosa, who shares twins with the television personality. In July, model Bre Tiesi gave birth to Nick's son, Legendary Love.

Ed Sheeran's Marvin Gaye copyright case will head to trial, judge rules

Shakira's not the only celeb facing a trial in the coming months. A judge has ruled Ed Sheeran will stand trial on allegations he ripped off Marvin Gaye's 1973 hit "Let's Get It On" for his song "Thinking Out Loud," Entertainment Weekly reports. The singer's legal team had asked to have the suit tossed on grounds there's no copyright available for chord progression and harmonic rhythm, the aspects of Ed's song that are being contested. "There is no bright-line rule that the combination of two unprotectable elements is insufficiently numerous to constitute an original work," the judge wrote, in part. Ed was first sued over the song's alleged ties to Marvin Gaye's classic track in 2016; EW reports that case has yet to be settled. The case headed to trial was filed two years later by a company that owns a portion of the music written by the plaintiff in the previous case, a co-writer on the Marvin Gaye song, according to EW. The trial date has not yet been announced.

Among the mothers of Nick Cannon's children, Mariah Carey is easily the most famous. Nick and Mariah welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon on April 30, 2011. Alyssa Scott was once a model on Nick Cannon's "Wild 'n Out" show. The duo welcomed son Zen in June 2021 — just nine days after Nick and Abby De La Rosa welcomed twins Zion and Zillion. Sadly, Zen passed away in December 2021 from brain cancer when he was just 5 months old. "Zen's mom, Alyssa, was just the strongest woman I've ever seen. Never had an argument, never was angry. Was emotional when she needed to be, but always the best mom, and continues to be the best mom," Nick said of Alyssa, who still works as a model, following their baby boy's death. In early November 2022, Alyssa announced that she and Nick were pregnant again.

In late July 2022, Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon welcomed a son, Legendary Love Cannon. Bre is a model and Southern California realtor who works for The Oppenheim Group. She also stars on Netflix's "Selling Sunset." She was previously married to ex-NFL player Johnny Manziel.

LaNisha Cole, a photographer and former model on "The Price is Right," never hid her pregnancy, but her child's paternity was a mystery until she announced in September 2022 that she'd given birth to a daughter, Onyx Ice — and Nick Cannon was revealed as the father. LaNisha collects handbags, many of which were hand painted by her father. Back in 2003, she was the lead in Pharrell Williams' music video for "Frontin." According to reports, Nick and LaNisha dated for a few months in 2017 and again in 2020.

"She walks in the room and she said, 'Thank you so much, you guys have worked so hard. By a show of hands if there are any Virgos in the room, can you just raise your hand?'" Heather shared on the Aug. 23 episode of the "JustSayin' with Justin Martindale" podcast. After dancers raised their hands, J.Lo then told them, "Thank you so much for coming," before they they "had to leave after a full day of auditioning for Jennifer Lopez," Heather recalled. Heather admitted she wasn't in the room at the time but defended the claim, explaining that she heard the same anecdote repeated by different dancers. "This is hearsay but true," she said, adding, "When one person says something, could be true [but] when multiple people say something… it's like, 'Oh, that happened.'" She also revealed that auditions would often last eight hours, during which "you're not getting any money" and "people [are] judging you the whole time."

According to the report, the home has a massive kitchen, bedrooms filled with high-end furniture, a huge cinema, large reception rooms and a private garden — plus neighbors including comedian Ricky Gervais and rock star Liam Gallagher.

On Sept. 19, TMZ reported that Kim Kardashian dropped a fortune on a stunning property in Malibu that's 14 miles up the coast from ex-husband Kanye West's $57 million home that that rapper is currently renovating. Kim's sprawling 7,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style estate has 4 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms and sits on a secluded, well-protected ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As for how much the SKIMS founder shelled out on this luxurious pad, which was previously owned by supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber? A cool $70 million. On top of that, she's keeping her $60 million estate in nearby Hidden Hills!

Imagine being so successful that you lose track of the properties you own! Such is reality for momager Kris Jenner. "I forgot you even had this place," Khloe Kardashian told Kris during a visit to her mother's Beverly Hills condo on the season 2 premiere of Hulu's "The Kardashians" on Sept. 22 (which was filmed in the spring of 2022). "This is a cute little place, if I must say so myself," said Kris, adding that she last visited the property over the holidays in 2021. "This is our gift-wrapping station. This is Santa's workshop," she said. Khloe replied, "I can't wait to be wealthy enough to forget I have property somewhere — just like, 'Oh, I have a condo in Beverly Hills? I forgot about that!'" Kris later explained in a confessional, "Here's the thing: I have a condo and my mom has one and my cousin [Cici Bussey] has one, and we all live nearby and I kind of forgot it was there. That sounds so ridiculous, doesn't it?" Kris and Khloe later cleaned out the condo's fridge, which was stocked primarily with bottles of champagne — "in case of emergency," Kris quipped.

Although Britain's Princess Charlotte is just 7, she's already been branded an "icon" on Twitter, thanks to an adorable moment caught by cameras at her great-grandmother's funeral. The move came as Charlotte stood next to big brother, Prince George, 9, as they waiting for Queen Elizabeth II's coffin to pass by them on its journey to Windsor Castle after her state funeral in London on Sept. 19. Charlotte leaned over to her brother at one point, telling him, "You need to bow." The future king — who's now second in line to the throne — followed his little sister's cue and gracefully bowed, while Charlotte curtsied as the royal hearse drove by. "Princess Charlotte is so sassy I love it! Even when Prince George is king she'll still be bossing him about," one person tweeted, sharing a clip of the interaction.

During a Sept. 21 appearance on the "Today" show, filmmaker, writer and actor Tyler Perry opened up to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about what prompted him to offer his Los Angeles home and his personal security team to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in early 2020 when they left as senior working members of the royal family. "It was a very difficult time for them," Tyler explained. "What I know about the two of them, that I wish the world knew, is how much they love — these two people love each other. They found each other — out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other. The love they have is really, really moving, and I just wanted to do anything I could to support them." In a recent interview with The Cut, Duchess Meghan revealed that she had never met Tyler before she, husband Prince Harry and son Archie Harrison stayed at his Beverly Hills estate for a few months before buying their current residence in Montecito, California. She also said that Tyler gave them a grand piano as a housewarming gift, telling them to "write the soundtrack for your life."

Following Queen Elizabeth II's death on Sept. 8, fresh attention was paid to the British royal family's wealth and land holdings, which show that with King Charles III now on the throne, eldest son Prince William has inherited a private estate valued at around $1.2 billion, according to CNN. William, who's now first in line to the throne, now oversees the Duchy of Cornwall estate — and now holds the Duke of Cornwall and Prince of Wales titles — after inheriting them from his father. The duchy, which dates back to 1337, is made up of almost 140,000 acres of land and property in southwest England and the revenue it generates is "used to fund the public, private and charitable activities" of the Duke of Cornwall, now William. He's not obligated to pay any form of tax on his estate, though he's expected to follow Charles' lead, as the king voluntarily started paying taxes in 1993. "Of course, voluntary income tax [is] not a fixed rate, and they don't have to declare how much income they're making their tax on," explained royal finance expert and author Laura Clancy. "So actually it's just like plucking a figure out of thin air." In 2021, Forbes reported that the queen's personal wealth was approximately $500 million. Most of that now goes to Charles.

Nichelle Nichols — who portrayed Communications Officer Lt. Nyota Uhura on "Star Trek" — will receive an appropriate send-off later this year when her DNA and ashes are launched "between 150 million to 300 million kilometers into deep space" on Celestis Inc.'s Vulcan Rocket, the company announced on Aug. 25. Nichelle — the first Black woman featured in a lead role on a network television series — worked for many years to recruit minority astronauts, though she never made it to space herself before she passed away on July 30 at 89. Nichelle's ashes will be in the company of some of her former "Star Trek" colleagues including the show's creator, Gene Roddenberry and his wife, Majel Barrett Roddenberry; "Star Trek" engineer actor James "Scotty" Doohan; and Douglas Trumbull of "2001: A Space Odyssey" fame, according to "Entertainment Tonight." Nichelle's son, Kyle Johnson, will also give a portion of his DNA so he can be by his mother's side in spirit on her journey. "My only regret is that I cannot share this eternal tribute standing beside my mother at the launch," Kyle said in a statement. "I know she would be profoundly honored for this unique experience and enthusiastically encourage all of her fans to join us vicariously by contributing your thoughts, affections, memories, [Nichelle-] inspired successes, dreams, and aspirations via email to be launched with her on this flight!"

We're not surprised in the slightest! On Sept. 5, Cardi B and Offset celebrated son Wave's first birthday with an extravagant car-themed celebration. "WAVE,SET,GOOOO!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my love," Cardi wrote on Instagram alongside a series of sweet snapshots from her baby boy's birthday bash that featured incredible decorations including enormous balloon displays surrounding a slew of expensive sports cars, an indoor playground, free themed clothing for guests, candy stations and more. Baby Wave even had his own mini car that he could cruise around in!

Oh, to be an Emmy nominee! The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, and according to Page Six, the television stars who were honored that evening were recipients of a truly enviable swag bag. Contents of the gift bag worth a casual $70,000 included an African safari, a grill, an NFT art piece, a three-night stay at a villa in the Dominican Republic, a three-night stay at a Turks & Caicos resort and more high-end items. Emmy winners including Zendaya and Jason Sudeikis were invited to stop by the eBay and GBK Brand Bar Luxury Lounge to collect their coveted gift.

During her extravagant wedding ceremony on Aug. 20 at husband Ben Affleck's Riceboro, Georgia, estate, Jennifer Lopez did something only J.Lo could do: She donned not one, not two but three couture wedding dresses! On Sept. 1, Abby De La Rosa — who shares 1-year-old twins Zion and Zillion with Nick and is expecting again — took to Instagram to show off the new digs Nick purchased for her. "Here's to beautiful new beginnings. I'm so grateful," she captioned the video. In confirming that he had, in fact, bought the house, Nick responded, "You are more than welcome!! It's the least I can do, Thank you for the unconditional love and the most precious gifts any human can ask for!! BEAUTIFUL New Beginnings!"

Always an original, the raven-haired beauty has simultaneously raised eyebrows and inspired envy with her unique ensembles for decades. Wonderwall.com is taking a look at her show-stopping style through the years. First up? While posing for a fashion shoot in 1978, the singer-actress rocked a barely-there sparkly golden outfit by Bob Mackie that showed off her amazing figure. Pairing the metallic frock with silver strappy sandals, it was evident even back then that Cher was willing to take risks when it came to fashion.

This is classic Cher back in 1973 at an appearance on "The Glen Campbell Show" with Sonny Bono. The star wore a bright, multicolored frock that showed off her bare midriff and ended in the popular bellbottom style of the day.

It's an ensemble that would really raise eyebrows and draw criticism today, but Cher wore a Native American-inspired look during a photo session in Los Angeles in 1977. (The "Half-Breed" singer has claimed she has Cherokee ancestors.)

Rocking an outfit that exemplified the era, Cher donned an off-the-shoulder black shirt with cropped baggy leather pants in 1982. The singer completed the look with a gold belt and awesomely '80s feathered hair.

The '80s were a tough time for everyone in the fashion department… even stylish superstars like Cher. The icon donned this bizarre combo of a tied-up, bedazzled black tank top with a pair of leather pants featuring, well, a whole lot of geometric cut-outs for seemingly no reason in 1984. To cap things off, she rocked striped socks and one — yep, one! — fingerless glove.

Cher really wanted to make a statement at the 1986 Academy Awards, so she turned to the flamboyant and eccentric designer Bob Mackie. This two-piece black creation — which she topped with an epic headpiece — featured sharp points that showcased Cher's amazing abs.

Returning to the Academy Awards in 1988, Cher won the Oscar for best actress for her performance as the young widow in "Moonstruck." Cher donned a black sequined Bob Mackie gown for the occasion and showed off both the barely-there gown and her new Oscar statuette after the ceremony.

Walk like an Egyptian! Never afraid to don an extravagant costume for an occasion, Cher rocked a Cleopatra-style frock to endorse her new fragrance in 1988. It bared her belly and also included a massive, elaborate headpiece.

One of Cher's most iconic looks? Her getup in the music video for her 1989 song "If I Could Turn Back Time." Shot on the battleship USS Missouri in Long Beach, California, Cher famously sported thigh-highs and what was essentially lingerie underneath a leather jacket fit for a rock queen. Add some big hair and heels and you've got one of the most famous outfits in music video history. And fortunately for all of us, Cher replicated the look numerous times throughout her career…

At the Academy Awards in 1998, Cher opted for a headpiece and beaded gown once again. But this time in a flesh-toned color. The dress showed plenty of skin, a Cher signature, but earned the star a place on quite a few worst dressed lists that year.

Cher welcomed the aughts with some sparkly pants! At the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2000, the legendary star sported these shimmering rainbow trousers, adding multicolored makeup to match. Brightening things up even further? Those glittery blue and green shoes and a bright purple sequined top. Why she chose to top things off with an otherwise plain and simple denim jacket? The world may never know…

Sparkly pants became Cher's signature in 2000. The star also sported some blinged-out bottoms at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles in September that year. This time they were glimmering gold and she paired them with a tan patterned blouse, a gold leather jacket and some skinny red shades.

Rounding out the trifecta of stand-out pants? Cher's Primetime Emmys look in 2000! The star once again donned a loud and fancy pair of trousers for the occasion, though this time they were an indigo shade with bedazzled purple jewels, and kept everything ivory on top. She also switched back to platinum locks, rocking them long and straight while sporting purple and pink makeup shades.

Ditching her signature dark locks, a blonde Cher hit the red carpet for an America Online party in Hollywood in 2002. Even though her hair wasn't in its usual style, her ensemble was classic Cher: a glimmering gold jacket, gold pants and a tiny top.

Cher switched it up with a Wild West-inspired outfit at the VH1 Divas concert in 2002. Rocking a whole lot of turquoise, the then-platinum-blonde singer's jeans even featured faux chaps.

Getting back to her costume roots, Cher performed in this glitzy fur-trimmed number during a "Farewell" tour stop in Germany in 2004. The snow queen look featured Cher's signature sequins and jewels and was dreamed up by her longtime fave designer, Bob Mackie.

Cher showed Lady Gaga that she was the real queen of rocking unique ensembles at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The same year Gaga showed up in a meat dress, Cher chose to dust off her famous 1989 "If I Could Turn Back Time" look. At 64, Cher looked just as amazing in the outfit as she did at 43. Major gladiator inspiration! Getting back to her gold and leather roots, Cher rocked a gold headpiece, a pleated black skirt over leather pants and a shirt complete with sheer sleeves for a 2013 appearance in New York. With the bold, loud look, Cher showed that she had no intention of ever slowing down her over-the-top fashion.

Age is nothing but a number! Cher stepped out in short shorts, fishnet tights and a bedazzled leather jacket for an appearance on the "Late Show With David Letterman" in 2013. It's safe to say there are plenty of 20-somethings who would love to have this then-60-something star's amazing legs.

For Cher's 2014 "Dressed to Kill" tour, it seemed only fitting that she embrace her love of headdresses. Performing in an elaborate costume complete with a massive rainbow feathered headpiece designed by Hugh Durant, the singer evoked some major nostalgia for her costumed past.

She's still a fashion darling in her 70s! Cher attended the 2015 Met Gala on the arm of none other than Marc Jacobs. Not only did the designer dress her in this geometrical sequined long-sleeved gown, but he cast her in campaigns for his fall-winter line later that year.

As the recipient of the Billboard Icon Award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, Cher performed her classic hit "If I Could Turn Back Time." Not only did she sound the same — she looked the same too! She took the stage at 71 sporting the iconic sheer and sparkly bodysuit she wore in the track's music video, which was shot nearly 30 years earlier! It was, of course, topped off with a timeless leather jacket.

Cher's career was still thriving in 2018 when she starred in "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again." While attending the musical movie's London premiere, Cher donned this long black jacket by Ann Demeulemeester over a sheer top and black high-waisted trousers — which was certainly a more demure look than we're used to seeing on the edgy star.

Cher closed the Balmain runway show during Paris Fashion Week in September 2022 wearing a skintight marbled black bodysuit with architectural shoulders over matching leggings and black platform boots, showing that at 76, she still had the body of a teenager!

On the Sept. 29, 2022, episode of "The Daily Show," host Trevor Noah announced plans to step down as the Comedy Central series host seven years after he took over for Jon Stewart. "I found myself thinking throughout the time, everything we've gone through — the Trump presidency, the pandemic, just the journey, the more pandemic," he said, "And I realized that after these seven years, my time is up. But in the most beautiful way, honestly." He added, "I've loved hosting the show. It's been one of my greatest challenges. It's been one of my greatest joys. I've loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly s***** on the worst days. We've laughed together, we've cried together. But after seven years, I feel like it's time." To mark the news — which came one day after he was romantically linked to a new celebrity (more on their dinner date in a minute) — Wonderwall.com is sharing some tidbits about the comedian so you can get to know him a little better.

He dated a famous American actress…

In August 2020, Trevor Noah was linked to "Friday Night Lights" actress Minka Kelly as media outlets reported that the duo were quarantining together in his New York City apartment. "They're making plans for a future together, and it's a very stable relationship," a source told People magazine at the time. They went Instagram official in January 2022 when Minka posted a photo of them with friends during a trip to South Africa, but as the year went on, they split again. Trevor was previously in a relationship with model-singer Jordyn Taylor, from whom he split in 2019 after nearly four years together. In September 2022, Trevor made headlines when he stepped out with a beautiful and talented British pop star…

He seems to have moved on with a famous British singer…

In late September 2022, Trevor Noah made headlines when he was spotted having an intimate dinner with British pop star Dua Lipa at Miss Lily's, a Jamaican restaurant in New York City. After their meal, they were photographed walking together, hugging and kissing before going their separate ways, DailyMail.com reported alongside photos of the affectionate outing.

He was raised in South Africa during apartheid

Although he's now based in the United States, Trevor Noah is native to a different country: South Africa. The comedian, who's biracial, was born in Johannesburg during apartheid, a period of strict racial segregation and discrimination against nonwhites. "It was illegal to be mixed (to have a black parent and a white parent), but it was not illegal to be colored (to have two parents who were both colored)," Trevor wrote for Literary Hub. "So my mom moved me around the world as a colored child." His childhood was also plagued with the constant fear that he'd be taken away from his mother. "For the longest time I thought she meant that the other kids were going to steal me, but she was talking about the police. Children could be taken. Children were taken. The wrong color kid in the wrong color area, and the government would come in, strip your parents of custody, haul you off to an orphanage."

He speaks eight languages

Trevor Noah can speak eight languages: English, Xhosa, Zulu, Afrikaans, Southern Tsongo, Tswana, Tsongo and conversational German! "I think it was something I inherited from my mother, who learned to do it," he told NPR's "Fresh Air" podcast of code-switching between various languages and accents. "I, like a baby duckling, was merely mimicking the survival traits that my mother possessed, and I came to learn very quickly that language was a powerful, powerful tool."

He's paid his staff from his own pocket

Trevor Noah is a great guy who cares about his staff on "The Daily Show" — a lot. In 2020, he paid the salaries for 25 furloughed crew members from his own earnings during the production's hiatus early in the coronavirus pandemic, Variety reported. "These are the people who have been on the show with Trevor from day one and help him put on the show," a source told the outlet. "Trevor is personally covering their salaries until the production business opens again. He respects his crew tremendously and feels it's only right that they get through this together."

He's a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Sure, we've come to know Trevor Noah for his skilled comedy and progressive views — but did you know he also lent his voice to a character in a major motion picture? In 2018, he made a small cameo in Marvel's "Black Panther" voicing Griot — the A.I. system that was invented by Letitia Wright's Shuri. Trevor (seen here with Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Tessa Thompson and the late Chadwick Boseman) praised the film for its "authenticity" while also noting that "people loved it back home" in South Africa.

He's built up a serious net worth

"The Daily Show" host, who replaced Jon Stewart on the Comedy Central show in 2015, has made quite the name for himself as one of the world's highest paid comedians. Trevor Noah's current net worth? An estimated $100 million!

He was once (briefly) a soap opera actor

Trevor Noah: former soap opera actor? It's hard to believe, but it's true! The year was 2002 when an 18-year-old Trevor earned his first-ever acting role on the South African soap opera "Isidingo" — he played a teenager at a party. The role was so minor, he didn't even get credited for it!

He pretended he knew how to play tennis so he could hang with Bill Gates and some sports superstars

Another fun fact about Trevor Noah? He's a good sport! In 2020, the Emmy winner played tennis with superstars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as well as billionaire Bill Gates in an exhibition match for the Roger Federer Foundation. "I don't know how this happened, but I think I've become friends with Bill Gates… I've just met him many times, and we have conversations," Trevor said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." "And then one day he phoned and he said, 'Hey, do you want to play tennis with me?' And I was like, 'Yeah.'" The only problem? Trevor wasn't exactly familiar with the sport! "I said, 'I'm in, I'm in.' I didn't know how to play tennis though! But I didn't want to tell them this."

He got his big break in America on "The Tonight Show"

Trevor Noah and Jay Leno go way back! In 2012, Jay actually invited Trevor to perform on "The Tonight Show" as a guest comic. This was a monumental occasion in the young comedian's career — it was his first gig in the United States and it resulted in two more on the show.

His predecessor is a big fan

Before he became the host of "The Daily Show," Trevor Noah was a news correspondent on the series in 2014. While chatting with radio host Howard Stern, former "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart spoke about how Trevor has been exceptional as his successor. "For Trevor, it's a part of him. It flows from him naturally… It makes it better. The show is better," Jon said.

His memoir was a bestseller

In 2016, Trevor Noah released the memoir "Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood," which earned a spot on The New York Times Best Sellers list. In the book, in which he recounts his upbringing in South Africa during apartheid, Trevor candidly speaks on how racism shaped his identity. "I think sometimes it's nice to have perspective on these issues, just so that you understand that it's not a unique problem that one country deals with, but rather an idea that society as a whole deals with across borders," he told "Here & Now."

He had surgery to repair his vocal chords

In December 2018, after losing his voice following a gig in his native South Africa, Trevor Noah realized that his medical condition was way more serious than he'd thought — he ended up needing surgery to repair his vocal cords. "I hate canceling shows but I also hate the idea of losing my voice forever so I'm postponing all this year's stand-up shows and working hard on rehabbing my voice," he wrote on Instagram. "Thank you again for the love and support. I appreciate you."

He has two stand-up specials you can watch right now

Of his many comedy performances, Trevor Noah currently has two stand-up specials available to stream on Netflix: 2017's "Trevor Noah: Afraid of the Dark" and 2018's "Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia."

He navigated a tricky stand-up scene in South Africa

Prior to making the move to New York City, Trevor Noah worked hard to establish himself as a comic in South Africa. But according to the host of "The Daily Show," fear of incarceration due to criticizing the government limited his scope as a comedian. When asked by Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" if there was a big stand-up scene in South Africa, Trevor replied, "no, because there wasn't a big freedom scene." He continued, "If you were gathered in a group, especially if you were Black people, you would go to jail, because obviously you were planning something."

He's not shy about sharing his views

Trevor Noah isn't one to shy away from getting political or taking a stand. Following the killing of George Floyd in 2020, he denounced police brutality during an at-home recording of his show. "I think the real question we should be asking is why does there need to be a protest in the first place," he said. "If I had a magic wand I wouldn't be trying to fix protests, I would use it to get the police to stop brutalizing Black people, that's why protests are happening."

With one long sleeve and one sleeveless side, a high neck and an asymmetrical cutout at the waist, there was a lot to take in, making this black dress anything but boring. The high slit in the ankle-length skirt finished things off, making this one of our favorite looks on the superstar in years. Aquazzura sandals completed the stellar ensemble.

Yikes! It's a little too early for Christmas wrapping, but that didn't stop Gabrielle Union from dressing like a gaudy gold present at a screening of "The Redeem Team" In Los Angeles on Sept. 22. The Valentino combo of a minidress and coat in the same matching shiny fabric gave us serious tinsel vibes — we just weren't fans of the metallic red carpet moment.

A Celine dream! Margot Robbie looked like a glam goddess at the "Amsterdam" premiere in London on Sept. 21 in this sleek Celine number with cutouts down the bodice and a cape detail that flowed behind her down the red carpet. Her jewels were just as captivating…

Wacky proportions are never our favorite, so the Alexandre Vauthier number Jurnee Smollett wore in New York City on Sept. 23 was not a hit for us. Though we loved the color — that vibrant blue! — the comically oversized jacket paired with Bermuda shorts made for a very funky silhouette that felt like a kid borrowing clothes out of their mom's closet. We did, however, love the addition of a turtleneck and those strappy sandals.

Naomie Harris wowed in Galvan London at an event for Sotheby's in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France, on Sept. 16. The beauty embraced the changing of seasons with this warm fall shade — a rich bronzy color — then topped it with a stunning necklace and gold bracelets to give it a standout edge.

Mariah Carey embraced the sheer skirt trend in this incredibly sparkly number at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 24. Though we appreciated her dedication to shimmer — look at the diamonds she added to her already all-over sequins — we weren't wild about the way this skirt flowed into a semi-sheer design.

Gemma Chan scored a style hit in Louis Vuitton. It's no surprise, since the beauty is one of the fashion house's ambassadors, but this stunning pale blue feathered gown she wore to the "Don't Worry Darling" premiere in New York City on Sept. 19 blew us away. The sleeveless frock included a black bow detail at the waist and even featured a feathered train that trailed behind her.

Emily Ratajkowski served up chic off-duty model style during Milan Fashion Week in Italy on Sept. 22 rocking a black long-sleeved mock turtleneck crop top and low-slung Versace trousers. Simple black sandals and rectangular shades rounded out this look.

Ana de Armas wore this disappointing Brunello Cucinelli ensemble ahead of an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in New York City on Sept. 19. The look — a three-piece suit in a shiny gunmetal gray fabric — felt very matronly on the young star, and those black heels didn't do her any favors either.

Lily James has been slaying in Versace looks all year, and the dress she wore to the Versace show in Milan on Sept. 23 was another winner. The star rocked this LBD that was anything but boring thanks to an an edgy asymmetrical cutout down the center. She accessorized with a chunky gold necklace and bracelet and added strappy black pointy-toe heels that kept the all-black theme going.

No one can say Priyanka Chopra is afraid of color. The star sported this wild tie-dye pantsuit at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Sept. 25, adding crisp white sneakers to this insane all-over rainbow look.

Salma Hayek was a vision in glamorous Gucci at the Kering Foundation's Caring for Women dinner in New York City on Sept. 15. This evening gown included tulle-trimmed sleeves that flowed into a shimmering black floor-length skirt that ended in a sparkling hem. Her accessories — a diamond and onyx necklace and a puffy bag — elevated the whole look.

Gigi Hadid made the case for Converse sneakers while out and about during Milan Fashion Week in Italy on Sept. 22. The beauty wore the classic shoes in a tan shade with a burgundy jumpsuit featuring a white T-shirt underneath for a laid-back look.

Vanessa Hudgens embraced a Versace houndstooth print at the fashion house's Milan show on Sept. 23. We loved the coordinates — an oversized blazer and tiny miniskirt — but when paired with that shimmery silver crop top, this look lost us.

Upon first glimpse, we thought Katie Holmes was wearing a long denim skirt. But nope, those are just extremely wide-legged jeans. The star sported the unfortunate pants pick at the Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program Luncheon in New York City on Sept. 20, adding a white top and an oversized printed cardigan to complete the casual ensemble. Square-toed flats and a metallic Chanel bag completed the look.

We don't typically love the full-gloves look, but the edgy cut of this top paired with the tapered long skirt made it work. Metallic sandals finished off this youthful ensemble.

It's a rare moment when Penelope Cruz sports a designer other than the French fashion house, so it was a treat to see her arrive at the Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 6 in this vintage Dolce & Gabbana number. The dreamy white frock from 2011 included thin straps and tiered lace down to the ruffled hemline. Despite breaking the age-old rule that says you shouldn't wear white after Labor Day, we adored this departure from her usual Chanel looks.

The fashionista wore the gorgeous design — flared pants and a black velvet corset embellished with hand-painted flowers crafted from organza, molded leather and crepe paper — to the "Tar" premiere during the Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 1. Sarah Jessica Parker is paying tribute and bidding farewell to her late stepfather, Paul Giffin Forste.

On Friday, the "Sex and the City" alum shared a black-and-white photo of Paul, who passed away this week.

"Godspeed. RIP," she captioned the image. "Strong like a bull. Til the end. At home and among all those who loved you dearly, you will be missed always."

SJP caused some confusion when she pulled out of the New York City Ballet's 10th Annual Fall Fashion Gala on Sept. 28, in which she was being honored. Shortly after, a source told Page Six that the 11th hour decision to withdraw was due to a "sudden devastating family situation."

Then, on Sept. 29, SJP announced she pulled out to be by the side of her stepfather during his final breaths.

"Our family is sad to announce that after an unexpected and rapid illness, Paul Giffin Forste passed away yesterday at age 76," the "Sex and the City" star's family said in a Sept. 29 statement. "In his last moments he was surrounded with the love and gratitude of his adored wife Barbara of 54 years, and children, including Sarah Jessica Parker." The statement continued, "Paul will be remembered with the spirit of loving kindness which was his faith, his special delight in his 13 grandchildren, and his sustained belief in making the world a more charitable, tolerant, and beautiful place for all."

Khloe Kardashian's on-off relationship with Tristan Thompson has been a bit messier than even Khloe's family realized. It turns out Tristan proposed before he impregnated another woman while he and Khloe were still together. According to a new report from Buzzfeed, there were two proposals, the second of which Khloe accepted, meaning she and Tristan were actually engaged when the NBA star's paternity scandal broke in December 2021. That's not how Khloe framed her version of Tristan's marriage proposal history on this week's "The Kardashians," though. In a confessional on the Thursday (Sept. 29) episode, Khloe seemed to say Tristan proposed in December 2020 and she declined. Citing "sources with knowledge of the situation," however, BuzzFeed reported Thursday that Tristan "actually proposed to Khloe for the first time in December 2019 when they weren't officially together." BuzzFeed's source claims Khloe declined at the time, but the stars "revisited the subject of an engagement in February 2021, and this time she accepted." The outlet's insider goes on to say that while the two kept the engagement private, they were, in fact, still engaged up until Tristan's paternity scandal broke in December 2021. Either way, Khloe said on this week's show that she didn't even tell her sisters Tristan had proposed because she was still wary of what was in store for the romance, given Tristan's multiple past cheating incidents. "I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I'm engaged to anyone," Khloe said, "and that's why I said I'm not comfortable accepting this right now because I'm not excited to tell my family." Ultimately, of course, Khloe and Tristan split, he 'fessed up to fathering a child with Maralee Nichols, and the two proceeded with their plans to welcome a sibling for their daughter via surrogate. "Now that my son is here, I get to move on and I get to enjoy," Khloe said at one point during the Season 2 premiere of the Hulu show. "It's almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me."

Anthony Bourdain's partner Asia Argento appears to have responded to a new unauthorized biography about the late chef

Amid controversy over the new unauthorized biography about Anthony Bourdain, his final hours and private details about his relationship with Asia Argento, the actress shared what appeared to be a reaction to the book on Instagram Stories. It was a picture of her wearing a T-shirt featuring an image of bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman, on top of which were the words, "Stop Busting My B****," People reported on Thursday (Sept. 29). Those same words are the last ones Asia communicated to Anthony, via text, before he died by suicide in 2018, according to the first page of the book, "Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain," by Charles Leerhsen. Asia's final text to Anthony was reportedly a response to his question, "Is there anything I can do?" The couple had been fighting a lot at the time, according to the author, but the chef also expressed deep dissatisfaction about other major aspects of his life, including his fame and his work, in his final days. In response to Asia's "stop busting my b****" text, Anthony simply wrote, "Okay," according to the book. The New York Times reported earlier this week that family members, former colleagues and close friends of Anthony's have slammed the book as defamatory, "fabricated," and "totally wrong." In an email to the Times, Asia said she hadn't read the book but, "I wrote clearly to [the author] that he could not publish anything I said to him."

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation trial returns via 'Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial'

If the streaming feed from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's explosive defamation trial over the summer somehow left you wanting more of the pair's post-marital messiness, you're in luck. That's thanks to Tubi, which airs a new, made-for-TV movie about the former couple's courtroom drama on Friday (Sept. 30). A teaser clip (via Entertainment Weekly) of "Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial" shows Amber (Megan Davis) on the witness stand testifying in grim detail about the various ugly incidents that allegedly went down during her marriage to Johnny, as well as why she finds herself traumatized all over again while rehashing it all. Johnny (Mark Hapka) pops up in the trailer too, giving his own version of the events that led to the marriage's highly publicized demise. "I have the right to tell the truth," says "Amber," per EW. "I have the right to say what happened to me. I hope I get my voice back. It's all that I want." The clip shows "Johnny," meanwhile, telling the court: "This has not been easy for any of us. No matter what happens, I did tell the truth and I have spoken up [on] what I've been carrying on my back for six years." "Hot Take" also reportedly touches on James Franco's connection to Johnny and Amber — he was slated to serve as a witness but was not called — and the controversy around Amber's treatment on social media during the trial. In "real life," the jury decided Johnny and Amber had defamed each other, but awarded significantly more damages to Johnny, who initially filed the suit over Amber's Washington Post op-ed about survivors of domestic abuse. He claimed she implied he abused her with the piece, though she never named him.

New details emerge in Coolio's death as Michelle Pfeiffer, more stars mourn his passing

New details are emerging about rapper Coolio's unexpected death at age 59 on Wednesday (Sept. 28). The "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper was reportedly found in the bathroom of a friend's house in Los Angeles, and is believed to have suffered a heart attack. In a new statement to Entertainment Tonight, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed paramedics attempted to revive Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey Jr., for 45 minutes after they arrived on the scene at 4 p.m. before he was pronounced dead. No drugs or drug paraphernalia was found in the bathroom, per reports. Coolio's death appeared to have been a shock to those who knew and loved the rapper, including Michelle Pfeiffer, who starred in the film "Gangsta's Paradise" appeared in. "Heartbroken to hear of the passing of the gifted artist @coolio," she wrote on social media Wednesday. "A life cut entirely too short. As some of you may know I was lucky enough to work with him on 'Dangerous Minds' in 1995. He won a Grammy for his brilliant song on the soundtrack – which I think was the reason our film saw so much success," she continued. "I remember him being nothing but gracious. 30 years later I still get chills when I hear the song. Sending love and light to his family. Rest in Power, Artis Leon Ivey Jr." Ice Cube was among the first celebrities to post about the star's death. "This is sad news," he wrote on Twitter. "I witness first hand this man's grind to the top of the industry. Rest In Peace." Speaking to ET on Wednesday, John Legend also expressed surprise about the news. "We are losing people at too young of an age. Coolio made some great songs, it was a soundtrack of our lives," he told the outlet. "He is gone too early and tragically, it's so sad."

Kelly Osbourne reveals gestational diabetes diagnosis

Kelly Osbourne was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a type of the disorder that can surface when a pregnant woman's body struggles to make enough insulin. The expectant star opened up about the diagnosis in a new interview with People, explaining that she'd noticed "rapid weight gain, fatigue and ankle swelling" as well as sugar cravings, which she'd never had before. When her doctor diagnosed her, Kelly, 37, admitted she initially worried she'd caused it somehow. "At first I thought it was something that I had done," she said. "I only got diagnosed with it well into my third trimester, so it wasn't like I developed it, as some people get it, from the get-go when they're pregnant. I got it in my third trimester and basically, I thought it was something that I had done wrong." Once she knew what was going on, though, she was able to make changes that helped dramatically. "As soon as I cut the sugar out, I had a bit of a headache for a while. I'm not going to lie. It's a bit of a shock to your system," she shared. "Overall, my skin cleared up. I don't have to wear any makeup. My friends that haven't seen me since I started my third trimester, now that they see me, they're like, 'Whoa. What changed? Your skin is perfect,' and I know that sometimes that has to do with pregnancy, but I had pregnancy acne. I cut the sugar out, and it completely went away." Kelly continued. "I haven't had to wear compression socks once since I cut the sugar out, which is unreal for pregnancy," she added. "I just have more energy. I'm sleeping better. You don't realize what it's doing to you until you take it away is all I can say." Kelly, who's expecting her first child with Slipknot's Sid Wilson, also chatted about other ways pregnancy's affecting her, including the drive she now has. "I wish I had this kind of incentive prior because I've never been able to stick to anything a hundred percent the way that I have been doing this because I'm not doing it for myself. I'm doing it for my baby," she explained. "But I have learned — I can't even begin to tell you the changes that it's made."

Kate Hudson says she's still emotional about son Ryder going off to college

Kate Hudson's still adjusting to life at home with two kids instead of three, now that her 18-year-old son, Ryder Robinson, has gone off to college. "It's hard to even talk about," Kate told "Access Hollywood" on Wednesday (Sept. 28). "I'll have a moment where I'll just start crying because something will just hit me that he's not here. But he's having a blast. He's in the city. He's, like, ready. That makes me so excited. I'm so excited for his future." Kate, who shares Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, added, "When you see your kids thriving and feeling good in their skin, that's all I can ask for." 10-year-old email about control of Anne Heche's estate at center of feud between her son, ex

Anne Heche's death is continuing to cause quite the family feud.

Following her death, Anne's 20-year-old son, Homer Laffoon, filed a petition to be named executor of her estate, and he asked that he and his half-brother, Atlas Tupper, be their mother's sole heirs.

Shortly after, Anne's ex-boyfriend, fellow "Men In Trees" actor James Tupper, submitted an email that the actress supposedly sent him in 2011, an email wherein Anne asked him to run her estate.

"FYI in case I die tomorrow and anyone asks. My wishes are that all of my assets go to the control of Mr. James Tupper to be used to raise my children and then given to the children," she supposedly wrote.

Homer is now fighting against that email, saying it wasn't a legal document and should be illegitimate, Page Six reports. In fact, he says Anne commonly sent messages like this.

In his court filing, Homer acknowledges that the email is real, but said it "fails to satisfy the legal requirements for a valid formal witnessed will" because it "was not signed by [Heche] and does not have two witnesses who signed the document during [her] lifetime."

He added, "Mr. Tupper repeatedly refers to the email … as a 'will.' However — as a matter of law — the email does not qualify as either a holographic will or formal witnessed will."

Anne and James dated for 10 years and share 13-year-old Atlas, but the duo had not been together in the four years leading up to her death.

"This document, which fails to qualify as a will on the same basis as the email … makes no reference whatsoever to Mr. Tupper, which is not surprising given their acrimonious breakup in 2018," Homer argues.

Homer said Anne even sent a similar email to a bookkeeper after contacting COVID-19 in 2020.

In his argument to be executor, James said Homer is unemployed and too young to be given the responsibility of managing his mother's funds. He also said Homer and Anne were estranged, and insisted that the 20-year-old has had no contact with his half-brother since Anne's death. James further alleged that Homer changed the locks on the home Anne and Atlas shared, preventing the teen from gaining access to his belongings inside.

Homer's augments are "unfounded personal attacks" and "frivolous legal claims," James said.

Coolio, the man who sent us all on a "Fantastic Voyage," passed away at the age of 59 on Sept. 28, 2022. According to reports, the "Gangsta's Paradise" rapper was found in the bathroom of a friend's house in Los Angeles. It's believed that he suffered a heart attack, but those reports are unconfirmed. TMZ said police did not find drugs or paraphernalia in the bathroom. Following the death, many in entertainment publicly mourned Coolio.

Meghan and Cuffe's marriage was stunning in its speed — the couple met, married and split up all within three months. (President Biden attended the September 2021 nuptials, which took place at Cuffe's childhood home in Pennsylvania.) In December 2021, Meghan confirmed that she and Cuffe were over.

Meghan opened up about her trip down the aisle while on SiriusXM's "Jeff Lewis Live," saying her partnership with Cuffe felt like an "arranged marriage."

In chatting with Us, the former reality TV star described how "weird" it was having secret service at her nuptials.

"The craziest moment for me, was when my daughter said, 'Mommy, what are those guys doing?' And there were two snipers with these, like, massive guns, like, walking because the president was getting ready to leave," she explained. "So they're packing up and going, so they have these massive guns. And I said, 'Oh honey, those people were there to protect the president because the president was here.' And she said, 'President Biden.' And I said, 'Yeah.' She goes, 'No, he wasn't!'"

Although the marriage didn't work out, Meghan said the Biden's "felt like family."

"The wedding day was great. It was so much fun, intimate and his family's wonderful. I mean, I don't have a bad thing to say about the Bidens at all," she said. "They were so warm and normal and welcoming."

As Hurricane Ian headed for Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday (Sept. 27), Tom Brady evacuated to Miami with the children he shares with wife Gisele Bundchen, according to People. As of Tuesday, Gisele was due to "be there with the family," a source told the outlet. On Wednesday, however, Page Six reported the two are staying in separate residences for their evacuation. Tom's team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has also relocated to Miami ahead of the storm. According to a statement from the team, they expect to practice at the Miami Dolphins' facility beginning on Wednesday, and will plan to stay there "through the end of Week 4 preparations, if necessary." Tom and Gisele's temporary move with the kids –Vivian, 9, Benjamin, 12 and Tom's son/Gisele's stepson Jack, 15 — comes amid growing speculation that the longtime couple could be headed for a split. Gisele was not on hand for Tom's recent home opener in Tampa, though their children attended the game. Asked about her absence, a source told People the supermodel "continues to be dedicated to her kids and is working on personal projects." While Gisele made it clear she's still supportive of Tom in an interview for Elle's October 2022 cover story, she also referenced "concerns" about his "un-retirement" from the NFL. "Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present," she said of her Tom. "I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too."

Lizzo plays former President James Madison's crystal flute (while twerking)

Lizzo made history at her show in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday (Sept. 27), when she briefly played an ornate, crystal flute that belonged to former President James Madison. The singer and classically trained flutist did so while twerking, naturally, as the crowd at Capitol One went wild. "B****, I just twerked and played James Madison's crystal flute from the 1800s! We just made history tonight!" she excitedly told the audience, adding a thank-you to the flute's current owner, the Library of Congress, for "making history freaking cool." (NPR reports "at least one other person" has previously played the flute, but not onstage.) A little Twitter sleuthing reveals Lizzo was invited to check out the Library of Congress' collection of historic flutes by the presidentially appointed Librarian of Congress (and apparent Lizzo fan), Carla Hayden, who tweeted an invite to the singer last week. "The @librarycongress has the largest flute collection in the world with more than 1,800. It incl Pres James Madison's 1813 crystal flute," she wrote on Sept. 23. "We would love for you to come see it and even play a couple when you are in DC next week. Like your song they are 'Good as hell.'😉," she added. Lizzo promptly RSVP'd, writing, "IM COMING CARLA! AND IM PLAYIN THAT CRYSTAL FLUTE!!!!!" The crystal-coated flute reportedly dates back to 1813, when it was custom-made for President James Madison's second inauguration. As a fan who was at Lizzo's show later told NPR, "It's not often you see founding father's personal artifacts reclaimed as a symbol of pop culture and a celebration [of] Black female empowerment." The Library of Congress later tweeted that the instrument was back in the library, "safe and sound," thanks to the Capitol Police's assistance, and invited followers to "watch this space for more from Lizzo's Library visit."

George Clooney says he and Amal have 'never had an argument' after 8 years of marriage

Eight years into their marriage, George and Amal Clooney have yet to experience their first fight. About anything, apparently. The actor and human rights attorney appeared on "CBS Mornings" on Wednesday (Sept. 28), where Gayle King asked them to share the secret behind their happy marriage. "It does start with love," said George, according to Entertainment Tonight. "That's sort of the whole secret to it. It's just been easy. Like the easiest thing we have done in our lives thus far. We've never had an argument." Backing him up on on that claim, Amal said the couple's argument-free existence is pure "madness to some of our friends." It doesn't hurt that they were into one another from day one, either. "I think that it's 99 percent luck just to meet the right person," Amal mused. "And I think the one thing we would take is to not be cynical, just to be open." Speaking to her husband, she added, "I was surprised that you were not cynical or guarded at all and things just moved very quickly." There was seemingly no reason for George to be guarded, though. "It was easy, it was the minute she walked in the door, I was just taken by her," he said. "And the fun part was, I didn't know whether she would like me or any of those things. Katie Couric reveals breast cancer diagnosis, hopes her story could help 'save someone's life'

Katie Couric has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The veteran journalist shared the news on Wednesday (Sept. 28), in an essay she called "Why NOT Me?" As she explained to readers in the moving piece, Katie was diagnosed three months ago after falling behind in her annual mammograms during the coronavirus pandemic. "I shudder to think what might have happened if I had put it off longer," she wrote. A lumpectomy in July revealed the tumor was larger than expected. Katie has since had it removed and recently completed radiation therapy, she shared. Looking back on the famous segment where she underwent a colonoscopy on the "Today" show following the death of her first husband from colon cancer, Katie wrote that she wanted to share experience because it would be "odd not to use this as another teachable moment that could save someone's life."

Elizabeth Banks talks Hollywood double standards and why 'Charlie's Angels' was never meant to be a 'feminist manifesto'

Elizabeth Banks may be among Hollywood's top "triple threat" stars, given her massive success as a director, producer and actor. But the fact that she's a woman often gets attached to her work in ways that have little, if anything, to do with it. She spoke candidly about that aspect of double standards in Hollywood in a recent interview with The New York Times. Asked what she learned from her not-so-well received "Charlie's Angels" reboot that she "could apply" to her latest project, "Call Jane," Elizabeth admitted the answer involves "a long conversation that I don't know that I want to get into." She got into it anyway. "There was a story around 'Charlie's Angels' that I was creating some feminist manifesto," Elizabeth explained. "I was just making an action movie. I would've liked to have made 'Mission: Impossible,' but women aren't directing 'Mission: Impossible.' I was able to direct an action movie, frankly, because it starred women and I'm a female director, and that is the confine right now in Hollywood," she continued. "I wish that the movie had not been presented as 'just for girls,' because I didn't make it just for girls. There was a disconnect on the marketing side of it for me." Asked whether "the dynamic has shifted" since "Charlie's Angels," she got even more blunt. "One of my least favorite things to do in talking to people like you," she told the male critic David Marchese, "is to represent all women in Hollywood who are doing interesting things." Noting that she's one of "very few female directors in Hollywood" and how hard she's worked to get where she is, she then turned the tables. "I would love for you to interview the studio heads and the corporations and ask them these questions, because I can't solve it," she said. "I'm putting my head down and showing these big corporations that if they give women the opportunity to do this job, they can make a good product that can make them a profit. It's a male-dominated industry." Ultimately, she added, being asked such questions adds unnecessary "pressure" because of how her comments might be taken by those in power. "I truly feel that it's dangerous to talk about these things now," she added. "I'm a leader in Hollywood, so I'm not trying to shirk my responsibility," Elizabeth said later in the interview. "I just want the framing device around me to not consistently be that I'm some sort of feminist activist."

Fans call out Katy Perry, Kesha for Jeffrey Dahmer lyrics after 'Jeffrey Dahmer Story' debuts on Netflix

After the debut of Netflix's new drama, "Dahmer, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," viewers are calling out artists who've incorporated references to the '80s-era serial killer in their music, particularly Katy Perry. The singer's 2013 track "Dark Horse" features the lyric, "She's a beast/I call her Karma (come back)/She eats your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer." Though the line is actually rapped by guest Juicy J, music fans on Twitter have been aiming their criticism at Katy this week. "Still upsets me when I hear the line in the song Dark Horse 'She eats your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer,'" one user wrote (via Parade). "I always make my daughter turn the station. It's so disrespectful to the victims families. I hope people remember them while watching Netflix." As the infamous murderer's name and backstory continued trending on Twitter, users also slammed Kesha, who sings, "I'll pull a Jeffrey Dahmer" in her song, "Cannibal." Chloe Grace Moretz says social media attacks turned her into 'a recluse'

Chloe Grace Moretz endured plenty of scary run-ins with paparazzi after she made her big screen debut at 12. But it was social media that made her retreat from the public eye, she reveals in a new interview with Hunger magazine. "There's always gonna be the darkness that comes with fame," Chloe says. Recalling her first interaction with paparazzi as "10 to 15 adult guys surrounding a 12-year-old girl," she says the paps "pushed my mom and she ended up falling into traffic – she didn't get hurt, but the situation was really chaotic." Years later, though, as her once packed film schedule grew less busy in her late teens, the shift left her questioning who she was and battling "self-loathing." Amid all of that, she suddenly found herself targeted on social media. "This onslaught of horrific memes … started getting sent to me about my body," she recalls. "I've actually never really talked about this, but there was one meme that really affected me … this photo got manipulated into a character from 'Family Guy' with the long legs and the short torso, and it was one of the most widespread memes at the time," Chloe explains. "… And I just remember sitting there and thinking, my body is being used as a joke and it's something that I can't change about who I am, and it is being posted all over Instagram. … After that, I was kind of sad," she says. "It took a layer of something that I used to enjoy, which was getting dressed up and going to a carpet and taking a photo, and made me super self-conscious … I basically became a recluse," she recalls. But avoiding the spotlight left her "severely anxious" to the point of hyperventilating when she was photographed. Now 25, Chloe's found new ways to cope, like taking time off the grid to reset, establishing boundaries and being sure to use her voice. "To say that these past two years have been transformative is an understatement, to say the least," she concludes. "I'm a very different girl than I was. I feel like a woman now."
