Miranda Lambert gets candid about her 2015 divorce, secret 2019 wedding and more

With the release of her witty new album, "Wildcard," this month, Miranda Lambert resumed her now-familiar foothold at the top of the country charts. It was her seventh consecutive No. 1 release and critics hailed her return to the witty, often sarcastic lyrics she was known for prior to "The Weight of These Wings," which she released following her very public split from Blake Shelton, whom she divorced in 2015. And while Miranda has admitted some of the new music was inspired by her life in New York City with her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin, the openly honest singer still gets frustrated by the memory of ending a marriage in the spotlight — and not just because that made her pain so public. In Health magazine's December cover story, Miranda points out how the focus on her relationship with Blake detracted from attention to her music. As she put it: "When everyone's worried about your personal life, it makes you feel like, 'Well, if you could just spend some of that time talking about my actual art, that would be great!'" (That art, by the way, has amassed the 35-year-old no less than two Grammys, 27 ACM Awards and 13 CMA Awards, among many other honors, by Google's count.) "But I guess I asked for it, getting into this business," she continues. "I'm never gonna get used to the public eye in that way." That aversion might explain why Miranda and Brendan, an NYPD officer, tied the knot in secret in January then waited a month before going public with their happy news. They'd reportedly been together less than a year before they said "I do." "I feel like I've been through enough in my life to know what I don't want. So when I know what I do want, I snatch it right up," Miranda explains. Asked if she and Brendan found love at first sight, she concedes, "I guess so," adding, "If that's a thing. I have eight dogs. Had love at first sight with them, too. Must be way easier than I thought."

Hilary Duff's fiance, Matthew Koma, now has a way to keep their daughter, Banks, and his soon-to-be stepson, Luca, with him always. This week, the singer, songwriter and producer showed off the spare yet lovely new tattoo on his arm. It's a simple black drawing of two interlocked hands, one of them tiny. It's apparently from an actual moment in time — and it just might be heart-warming enough to melt this week's Arctic blast (we hope). "Luca (7) and Banks (1) holding hands just after her 1st birthday," he captioned a shot of the ink on Instagram on Tuesday, Nov. 12. "Thank you @curtmontgomerytattoos for engraving my kids." Not surprisingly, more than 33,000 likes followed, as did gushing comments about Matthew and Hilary's "adorable" blended family and how ridiculously sweet of an idea the tattoo image was. Matthew and Hilary, both 32, welcomed Banks in October 2018. They got engaged in May.

Lamar Odom and Sabrina Parr announced this week they plan to get hitched and while the former NBA star's family didn't see an engagement on the horizon for Lamar, a source tells Us Weekly Khloe Kardashian took the whole thing in stride. The reality star and designer reportedly wishes her ex-husband "nothing but the best" as he moves forward with Sabrina, according to the insider, who adds Khloe, "isn't surprised Lamar quickly got engaged." She and Lamar were married from 2009 until 2016, although they split years prior to the finalization of their divorce so that Khloe could continue to serve as his caretaker, legally, while he dealt with the addiction issues that nearly killed him. In a recent edition of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Khloe wrestled with whether or not to meet with Lamar, telling Kim that she does still "miss him all the time," though she had no interest in rekindling a romance. "She heard about the engagement from friends," says the Us source. "[She] wants him to be happy." According to the tab, Lamar's family is less confident he's doing OK and are "worried" about how quickly things progressed with his new fiancee.

Yep, Andy Cohen's 9-month-old son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, is officially the cutest kid on the planet, according to the magazine. "Fatherhood is a new adventure every day, and watching Ben grow has been a total joy and eye-opening joy ride," says Andy, who welcomed Benjamin earlier this year with the help of a surrogate. "It can feel overwhelming," he added of his experience of parenthood. "But when he looks back at me and smiles or laughs at something I say, everything feels right."

Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan won't spend Christmas with the Queen

As their busy and emotional year comes to a close, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are planning to take a breather from the demands of royalty over the holidays by spending both Thanksgiving and Christmas with Meghan's Los Angeles-based mother, Doria Ragland. That's according to the Daily Mail, which confirmed this week that the couple and their 6-month-old son, Archie, won't be joining the Queen and the rest of Harry's family for the traditional royal Christmas celebration at Sandringham estate. "Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, Their Royal Highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess' mother Doria Ragland," a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace told the outlet in a statement. "This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen," the statement continued. Christmas will come during a planned six-weeks off for Meghan and Harry, who recently completed a tour of Africa. Since the palace didn't specify where the Sussexes would spend Christmas, that likely means they'll have Doria to their home rather than travel to Sandringham. They're reportedly planning to visit her in the United States for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Eminem's rep addresses Rihanna/Chris Brown reference in leaked track

Amid controversy around a decade-old Eminem track that leaked last week and includes the rapper saying he'd "side with Chris Brown, I'd beat a b—- down, too," the rapper's rep is addressing the troubling lyric, which was clearly written about Rihanna. The leak apparently surfaced because B.o.B. uses a dis-free version on a new track called "Things Get Worse." According to Pitchfork, Eminem's rep told The Guardian: "This is a leak of something that's over 10 years old. After Eminem recorded it, he scrapped it, and rewrote it. Obviously he and Rihanna have a great relationship." Eminem and Rihanna have collaborated since the song was recorded.

Charlize Theron says she's fighting for change for her daughters in moving Glamour Women of the Year speech

Charlize Theron is doing what she does — as an actress, as a producer and as an advocate for a more equitable world — for one reason: her daughters. On Monday, Nov. 11, when she accepted the Rebel Award at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Charlize gave a moving speech in which she explained that she's all about promoting the cause of empathy. "It's clear to me that my job as a storyteller—whether I'm acting or producing or talking to my kids at night before bed—is to create as much empathy as I can. Especially right now," she said, according to Glamour. After some jokey references to the empathy inspired by Oprah Winfrey's social media, she went on to say, "we need to help the hard-hearted to empathize with others," then cited "sexual assault survivors, people living with AIDS, our trans community, children who are different or who have special needs," as some of the folks she had in mind. "The women in this room tonight are putting themselves on the front line of the empathy battle, be it through storytelling, creating opportunities for those that need it most, or just unabashedly being yourself and telling other women we don't have to apologize for who and what we are," she said. She went on to shout-out "the women of RAICES," saying, "you are working tirelessly at a job that should never even have to exist. You shouldn't have to do this, and yet here you are providing support and basic human rights to a group of people that deserve just as much freedom and security as the rest of us." Adding that storytelling in any manner means turning "on the empathy machine," she urged the audience to "tell" their stories and "be proud" of them, whether they're liked or not. "Take risks. Radiate empathy like you've got a tap of it. Fight for change," she said. "Because it's people, especially girls, who have the power to create change. And speaking of girls, that's why I do all of it. For my girls, Jackson and Auggie. They're the reason I'll never stop fighting. And to my mom, thank you for being the example me and my girls can follow." She then dubbed her mom her "Woman of the Year until the end of time," and left the audience with, "We're all in this together. All of us. There's nothing we can't do. And I'm here to back you guys. That's it, thank you."

Kristin Davis still 'hopeful' about the possibility of a third 'SATC' movie

Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" ended up being one big "Sex and the City" throwback, thanks to his guest, Kristin Davis. Kristin, 54, happily rehashed everything from her least favorite scene to film (a sex scene in which Charlotte's romantic interest yells a pair of unsavory five-letter words reserved for women in her face) to the "SATC" star most like her character in real-life (Cynthia Nixon), according to a recap from ET. Kristin also revealed whether she thought Carrie should have ended up with Aidan or Big, saying, "I love John Corbett so, so much, but I do think she was meant for Big," and, during a surprise call-in from Sarah Jessica Parker, got nostalgic about the long walks the pair used to take to get tomato sandwiches on-set. Finally, Andy asked the question Kristin had to have known he'd eventually ask: After Kim Cattrall said in no uncertain terms she won't do a third "SATC" movie, does Kristin think there's any chance of such a film coming to fruition? "I'm a hopeful person, obviously, and I have a whole, rich imagination," Kristin teased. "Is it in your fantasy that [Kim] would come back?" Andy asked. "I have all different fantasies, Andy," Kristin joked. "I have a whole short movie planned." Kristin's latest film, "Holiday in Wild," costars Rob Lowe and began streaming on Netflix this month.

'Veronica Mars' is probably kaput after Season 4

"Veronica Mars" fans who were frustrated with the Season 4 finale of their cult fave show now have one more thing to be mad about. TV Guide reports there is currently no plan to move forward with a fifth season of the Kristen Bell-helmed series, which came back only after a crowd-funded "Veronica Mars" movie's success in 2014. The original TV version of the show ran from September 2004 until May 2004, according to imdb. Series creator Rob Thomas tells TV Guide if another season somehow happens, he's thinking about going in a more "mystery" focused direction. "The show started out as sort of a teen soap-noir detective show hybrid. And in order for us to keep doing these, I think it needs to become a detective show — a noir, mystery, detective show — and those elements of teenage soap need to be behind us," he said. "I sort of viewed these eight episodes as a bridge to what 'Veronica Mars' might be moving forward." Hulu declined to comment to the outlet.

Jay Ellis welcomes his first child with fiancee Nina Senicar

Congratulations are in order for "Insecure" star, Jay Ellis, and his fiancée Nina Senicar. The couple announced they've welcomed their first child together on Tuesday, Nov. 12. According to People, the couple's new daughter, Nora Grace, arrived on Friday, Nov. 8 — her mom's birthday. "And just like that our lives got a whole new meaning. Welcome Nora Grace Ellis ♥️ 8.11.2019," Nina captioned a photo of Nora on Instagram. Jay shared the same photo on his Instagram. He has rarely addressed his personal life in public, saying only that he was "in a very happy relationship" during a 2017 interview with "The Breakfast Club." "I think for me, we give so much of ourselves in what we do no matter what side of the industry we're on," he explained at the time. "So for me… a relationship for me is probably the most important thing that I think two people can have."
