Jill Zarin posts emotional tribute to late husband one year after his death

Former "Real Housewives of New York City" star Jill Zarin paid tribute to her late husband, Bobby Zarin, on Instagram on Sunday, which marked the first anniversary of his death.

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

"Today is the anniversary of Bobby's passing on January 13th 2018," the reality star wrote alongside a video and compilation of photos from their life together. "It is hard to imagine a life without him but he wanted me to move on…find love again and that 'life is for the living.'"

The photos showed the couple at home, on vacation or hanging out with friends and family.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bsk8ck6lB7P/

"I want to share some photos & videos no one has seen with all of you. We all remember the incredible man, father, brother, friend and husband he was," she wrote alongside the tribute. "Bobby Zarin will never be forgotten. @allyshapiro and I miss him everyday but he is always in our hearts. I love you Bobby."

The most touching moment of the Instagram post came via a video in which Jill shared more photos of Bobby while the Beatles' "In My Life" played in the background.

Bobby passed away last January after battling cancer. He was 71 years old.

Jill and Bobby's daughter, Ally Shapiro, also posted several photos with her late father.

"1 year without you has felt so long yet so short. But I know you're with ginger in some chic hotel room, wearing a robe and slippers, having your shot of orange juice and watching 'Law and Order' or 'The Honeymooners,'" she wrote. "You would have loved Mrs Maisel, but I'm sure they get Amazon prime up there."

Ally also decided to volunteer at a soup kitchen to honor her dad, who she called the "classiest and most generous person I know."

"One more thing: Bobby lived every single day like it was his last," she wrote on her Instagram story. "Having cancer twice, and living for 10 years with Thyroid cancer. With stage four cancer we went to Antarctica, across Europe, China, Australia…yup every continent. So live every day without fear or regret. Celebrate and embrace life, and spend your time with people that love and care about you. Life's too short."

French Montana backtracks after appearing to support R. Kelly

A few hours after making waves when he appeared to support R. Kelly, French Montana is now changing tune.

While leaving the Rams football game on Saturday night, French said he's hardly surprised by the R. Kelly allegations, indicating that the embattled R&B singer was leaving clues in his music for years. He also indicated that R. Kelly should be able to appreciate his legacy, regardless of the serious allegations against him.

"Whatever happened, happened," French said Saturday night.

Marion Curtis/Starpix/REX/Shutterstock

On Sunday, though, the rapper did a 180, tweeting, "Let me be clear. My heart is with the victims. I never thought the people I looked up to as a kid, who sang and danced and gave me hope to become a superstar would become drug addicts, child molestors [sic] and rapists. I am hoping we as a culture create better leaders. We need them."

The tweet came after a TMZ interview in which French noted that R. Kelly openly sang about his sexual prowess when he belted out the words, "My mind's tellin' me no, but my body, my body's tellin' me yes."

He even went on to say that R. Kelly, who's being painted as a sexual predator, has the right to enjoy his legacy.

"They don't let nobody have their legendary moments," French said. "They did Michael Jackson like that. They did R. Kelly like that."

Michael Jackson, of course, fought off child molestation accusations until his death in 2009.

"All the greats went down like that," French said. "Let somebody enjoy their legacy. Whatever happened, happened, man."

Law enforcement may not see it that way, as the fallout from Lifetime's "Surviving R. Kelly" has caught the attention of authorities in Georgia.

Last week, The Blast reported that the R&B star is now the subject of a criminal investigation.

The Blast claimed that an investigation is being conducted into his alleged sexual misconduct with young girls, something that was explored in the scathing six-part documentary. The Lifetime show also looked into claims that the music star has held women as sex slaves.

MediaPunch/REX/Shutterstock

The Fulton County District Attorney has been actively investigating R. Kelly and a Johns Creek, Georgia, mansion where he previously lived, according to multiple media outlets.

One woman has given an account of her experience in the singer's house. Another woman — an alleged sex slave — has reportedly been contacted by prosecutors and ordered to come in for questioning.

R. Kelly could be charged with false imprisonment if prosecutors believe he's held women against their will.

The couple headed to Bora Bora and they shared much of their experience on social media. Photos and videos show the couple playing tennis, skydiving, scoping sting rays in the water and hanging with their friends and family, many of whom joined them in French Polynesia.

"Best honeymoon/familymoon ever," the "All About That Bass" singer captioned a photo of her looking out at the crystal-clear water.

Daryl posted a similar photo, calling it the "best honeymoon/familymoon all because of my wife/love of my life."

The couple even took a page from their wedding, as they danced, albeit this time in the rain and in more casual clothing.

"Dancin in the rain after jumpin out of a plane," Daryl captioned the video.

The couple tied the knot on Dec. 22, which also happened to be the singer's 25th birthday. She shared a cache of photos from the wedding and reception to Instagram over the weekend.

"Get ready for all the wedding pics … best birthday ever," she captioned a photo from their big day.

Among the images shared was one of Meghan putting on her veil.

"Felt like a princess," she wrote on Sunday.

She got emotional while sharing images of her and Daryl from their wedding reception, after they officially became Mr. and Mrs.

"Can't believe I found you again," she wrote, tagging her new husband. "Never letting you go."

The "Property Brothers" stars are openly discussing expanding their family on social media.

The acknowledgment came after Joanna Gaines posted a picture of her 6-month-old son, Crew Gaines, sleeping in a striped onesie.

Drew commented, "I think it's time for the next size up." He then added that he's in the market for baby clothes.

"We'll be having kids soon, so I'll hit you up for hand me downs," he wrote.

The comment sent fans into a frenzy.

"@mrdrewscott you'd make a great dad," once person said, according to E! News. Another said, "Holy smokes!!! I can't wait to see you and Linda as parents."

Drew and Linda tied the knot in Italy last May. Since then, they've spoken about becoming parents.

"We're excited to have kids," he told People magazine last year. "I think Linda and I will be great parents, and we're excited to start that chapter of our lives."

Drew's twin brother, Jonathan, is already excited to be an uncle, too.

Mel B waking up for 4:30 AM workouts to prep for Spice Girls tour

Mel B is taking the Spice Girls reunion seriously.

The singer revealed on Instagram that she is waking up before the crack of dawn to begin 4:30 AM workouts, all so that she can be in the best possible shape for the impending reunion tour.

The Spice Girls star recently shared a throwback image of herself with ripped abs and an incredibly toned physique. That photo, she said, is her motivation.

"Getting it done, workouts and eating right makes all the difference, even if I have to workout at 430am before I wake my kids up for school," she captioned the snap.

Mel apologized to her trainer for the "early starts," but said it's all worth it in the end.

"It feels good when you can feel on the inside changes and you can see on the outside results happening, so I'm getting there," she continued.

Mel didn't indicate when exactly the motivational photo was taken, but said it was "a few years ago."

In November 2018, Mel and the rest of the Spice Girls confirmed long-standing speculation that they were reuniting (sans Victoria). Demand was so high for the shows that they had to keep adding additional performances.

Mel will certainly be ready for the 14-show tour to begin in late May.

"This is MY inspiration, ME haha that's right a picture of myself nobody else," she said of her Instagram photo. "Why? Why not, if you don't start with loving respecting and believing your self your never gonna be happy with yourself, it's that simple, your always gonna need something or someone else to complete you, so give yourself yourself and start from the inside out and learn to love yourself unconditionally with respect love and loyalty, and dedicate time to looking after YOU, then and only then are you living your best life, ahhhhhh, see then everything and I mean EVERYTHING and anything is possible."

Richard Madden and Ellie Bamber split after 'daily' arguments

Richard Madden and girlfriend Ellie Bamber have split after 18 months together.

News of the split comes just days after the actor took home a Golden Globe for his work on "The Bodyguard." Many observers noticed that Richard attended the show without Ellie.

Gigi Iorio / SplashNews.com

Britain's The Sun, who first reported the split, said Richard, 32, and Ellie, 21, simply no longer saw eye to eye.

"They're both absolutely gutted but it was a decision made for the best. They were arguing almost daily towards the end and, despite considering couples' therapy, it became evident there were far too many issues that could not be fixed," a source told The Sun. "Richard is the toast of Hollywood at the moment, and understandably wants to let his hair down."

The source added that Ellie isn't looking to hobnob.

"Ellie is a bit quieter, and wants to focus purely on her work," the source said. "It felt like their day-to-day lives were increasingly becoming worlds apart."

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

The Mirror indicated that she's the one who ultimately pulled the plug.

In the early days of their relationship, they was inseparable. His career, though, has changed that.

"Being away [filming] puts a strain on family and friends," he told Red magazine.

Like Richard, Ellie has seen a rise in stardom after starring in "Nocturnal Animals" and "The Nutcracker And The Four Realms." Richard, though, has a stratospheric increase in popularity, thanks in part to his Globe win for Best Actor in a Television Drama. There are also reports that he is in the running to be the next James Bond.

"It's really flattering to be in the conversation," he told KTLA. "People just make up lots of things, but it's very lovely to be in the conversation. It's very flattering."

Gayle King issues a vote of confidence for new CBS president amid departure rumors

By the time Susan Zirinsky takes over as president and executive producer of CBS News in March, her leadership may have already helped save the struggling division. In fact, things already seem to be looking up for the organization.

Staff at the network's news division are now saying Gayle King seems determined to stick with her post at "CBS This Morning" in spite of reports that as recently as last week suggested she was likely to cut ties from the show and the network in general.

KCR/REX/Shutterstock

According to the New York Post, King's role became increasingly challenging in recent months following the ouster of her "CBS This Morning" co-host Charlie Rose and CBS President Les Moonves both of whom have been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.

The departure of producer Ryan Kadro also reportedly left King "furious," as she hinted on set in mid-December when a guest asked how she was doing.

It probably didn't help that former CBS News Chairman and "60 Minutes" Executive Producer Jeff Fager was also fired after being accused of sexual misconduct.

"Last week, 99 percent of the staff would have told you that Gayle is leaving," a CBS source recently told the Post.

But when Zirinsky spoke to the newsroom on Monday, Jan. 5, urging the group to "come with me and help make CBS the greatest it's ever been," King was absolutely on board.

"I'll come with you!" she screamed in response, according to a Post source.

John Paul Filo/CBS

Set to replace outgoing CBS News president David Rhodes — who's been blamed by some critics for the double-digit drop in "CBS This Morning" ratings that followed Rose's departure from the show — Zirinsky is a veteran news producer who's been with CBS for 46 years.

"I was doing the happy dance," King said on the air after the network announced Zirinsky's promotion. King went on to call Zirinsky "a bada– in every sense of the word," according to USA Today.

It's possible King's "happy dance" is at least in part a reaction to the fact that many see Zirinsky's recognition at the network as long overdue.

Erik Pendzich/REX/Shutterstock

As USA Today points out, Zirinsky started at CBS "a year before the executive she's replacing, David Rhodes, was born."

"Why was it only after CBS lost three of its male stars to allegations of sexual harassment … that it finally elevated a woman?" the USA Today writer asks.

Moonves, Rose and Fager have all denied allegations of sexual misconduct lobbied against them.

Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley welcome their second child

Tom Hardy and his wife, Charlotte Riley, have expanded their family again.

The couple recently welcomed their second child, according to E! News.

Nils Jorgensen/REX/Shutterstock

It's the second baby for the actors, although they've kept the names and genders of both children under wraps.

The couple's first little one arrived in October 2015, one year after the "Peaky Blinders" stars quietly tied the knot in a private ceremony. (Charlotte, 37, never announced her first pregnancy — she simply joined Tom on the red carpet for the premiere of "Legend" with a very obviously pregnant belly.)

Tom, 41, also shares a 10-year-old son, Louis, with ex-girlfriend, Rachel Speed.

He's been somewhat less secretive about Louis, joking with a reporter from E! that his son was not exactly impressed with his dad's superhero-meets-monster flick, "Venom," when it came out last fall, even though he took the project in part because he hoped his son would enjoy watching it.

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

Laughing, he said Louis made no effort to hide his opinions about the movie. "This is an honest human being. So, yeah, the die-hard fan compared to the 10-year-old boy. One cannot lie to the dog or the child, you know," Tom quipped. "They see straight through your fantasies."

Luckily for Tom, he'll have plenty of opportunities to try to impress Louis in the near future.

Tom recently wrapped shooting the drama, "Fonzo," in which he plays Al Capone, and he's currently filming the TV series, "Sticky," according to IMDB. He's set to appear in the forthcoming films, "Mad Max: Wasteland" and "War Party," as well.

Tom and Charlotte met on the set of ITV's 2009 adaptation of "Wuthering Heights."

Christina Aguilera praises Lady Gaga for speaking out against R. Kelly

As authorities in two states began investigating abuse and sexual assault allegations made against R. Kelly last week, Lady Gaga apologized publicly for collaborating with the singer on 2013's "Do What U Want" from her "ARTPOP" album. She then removed the track from all streaming services and digital music sales outlets — and Christina Aguilera couldn't be more proud.

Gregory Pace/REX/Shutterstock

In a tweet posted Friday, Jan. 11, Christina praised Gaga for "doing the right thing," while reminding fans she recorded a version of the duet with Gaga as well.

Trae Patton/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images

Sharing two photos of herself onstage with Gaga in 2013 after the two performed the song during the finale of "The Voice," Christina wrote, "Cool to see the version of this song I did with @ladygaga on the charts again — this is a reminder of women sticking together— and not letting a man take ownership of a great song/ moment. And if anything the message of this song remains that although you may have had my body, you will never have my heart, my voice my life or my mind."

She then added two more shots from the night — this time, pics of the singers toasting — and added: "Being a survivor of past predators myself, these lines spoke to me, which is why I did the song. I embrace all survivors of sexual and domestic violence and abuse holding a special place in my heart, and you @ladygaga, for doing the right thing!"

In her apology, Gaga explained the song came out of "a dark time" in her life that she attributed to not having processed her own experience with sexual assault yet.

The lyrics of the song include the refrain, "do what you want with my body," tempered with assertions like, "you can't stop my voice 'cause you don't own my life."

At the end of the song, Gaga implies she's been killed by her attacker, closing with the line, " do what you want with my body … my bones."

Speaking to the New York Post last week, a source said Gaga wrote the song long before the idea of inviting R. Kelly to duet on it came up.

"… It was not an intentional reference to his [alleged] behavior," said the insider, "I don't think she knew about the legitimacy, or the extent, of his behavior at the time."

Investigations into claims about R. Kelly started after Lifetime aired producer and journalist Dream Hampton's docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly."

Since then, celebs including Chance the Rapper, Common, Kevin Hart and John Legend have spoken out about claims about the singer's allegedly predatory behavior. Cara Delevingne said on Instagram last week she "was shocked" to see she lost 50,000 followers after denouncing R. Kelly's alleged behavior.

His lawyer has maintained the singer has broken no laws.

Charlie Sheen moves to save his house from foreclosure

Charlie Sheen's facing a new round of financial challenges.

The former "Two and a Half Men" star, who was the highest-paid actor on TV before Warner Bros. fired him from the hit show in 2011, is out more than $80,000 after receiving a notice of default on the mortgage for the house in Beverly Hills he's been trying to sell.

All Access / SAF / Splash News

The Blast reports Charlie cut a check on Thursday, Jan. 10, to cover six months of missed payments for the seven bedroom, seven bath, Meditteranean-style home after finding it had gone into what the website describes as "the early stages of foreclosure."

Charlie reportedly stopped putting mortgage payments into escrow at some point in 2018 after the first of multiple, would-be buyers backed out of plans to buy the house. According to The Blast, the buyers each bailed for different reasons, but in each case, the change of plans happened shortly before ownership was expected to be transferred, leaving Charlie under the impression the payments were unnecessary.

CBS/Getty Images North America

The house features a game room, a movie theater, a gym, a spacious outdoor area, plus a master bedroom that comes with a screening room and a wet bar. As of early January, it was listed at just under $8.5 million.

News of the foreclosure comes at an awkward time for Charlie. After he went public with his HIV diagnosis in 2015, he was sued by multiple former sex partners who alleged he exposed them to the virus. The legal matters added to money issues the star was already dealing with as a result of the erratic behavior that contributed to his firing from "Two and a Half Men."

Variety/REX/Shutterstock

In a request to cut his child support payments to ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller last year, Charlie told the court he had "been unable to find steady work, and [has] been blacklisted from many aspects of the entertainment industry" and had less than $10 million in assets. He was also sued in March by American Express over a nearly $300,000 unpaid credit card bill.

By the end of August, Denise and Brooke agreed to cut back on what they were asking him to pay them.

Dwayne Johnson blasts media outlet for fabricating interview

https://94890ooyala-a.akamaihd.net/plbGQxaDE62JJVmzLvOALGiA1PjOq_bg/DOcJ-FxaFrRg4gtDEwOjNtNzowczE7rs

Dwayne Johnson claims that an interview in which he blasted "generation snowflake" is fake news. In fact, the supposed interview never even happened.

The Rock took to Instagram Friday afternoon after the alleged interview had caused a stir.

"Settin' the record straight. The interview never happened. Never said those words. 100% false," he captioned a video. "If I ever had an issue with someone, a group, community or a generation — I'd seek them out, create dialogue and do my best to understand them. Criticizing ain't my style. I don't cast stones and we all get to be who we are."

In the video, The Rock said he was "quite baffled" when he woke up to see an interview attributed to him.

"I always encourage empathy. I always encourage growth, but importantly, I encourage everybody to be exactly who they want to be," he said in the video.

Friday morning, U.K.'s Daily Star claimed that The Rock blasted the "generation snowflake" and implied that freedom of speech is under attack. Also, the paper claimed The Rock came down hard on this generation, saying they are essentially offended by everything.

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

"I don't have to agree with what somebody thinks, who they vote for, what they voted for, what they think, but I will back their right to say or believe it. That's democracy," a phony quote attributed to the actor said. "So many good people fought for freedom and equality – but this generation are looking for a reason to be offended. If you are not agreeing with them then they are offended – and that is not what so many great men and women fought for."

Charles Sykes/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images

The Daily Star alleged that Dwayne, who's openly toyed with a possible presidential run, applauded the world for becoming more tolerant, but thought a certain generation was whining and potentially sending that positive change back.

"We thankfully now live in a world that has progressed over the last 30 or 40 years," the quote attributed to The Rock said. "People can be who they want, be with who they want, and live how they want. That can only be a good thing – but generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards."

In his actual video, The Rock — the real one — said, "The interview never took place, never said any of those words. Completely untrue. One hundred percent fabricated."

Meghan McCain explains how she really feels about Joy Behar

Despite those epic feuds on "The View" between Meghan McCain and Joy Behar, the women never harbor any ill feelings toward one another… but that's not from a lack of trying.

"She's really funny and at the end of the day I try and hate her but I can't," Meghan said on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." "I adore her."

Paula Lobo/ABC via Getty Images

In fact, Meghan believes she and the liberal-leaning Joy fight so much because they're essentially the same person.

"If you extract politics, we are very similar women," she said. "We leave it all out on the table, we fight like boxers, and then we leave and I'm like, 'Do you wanna get a drink? Are we cool?' Neither of us like talking about our personal life on air."

There have been times when the show has to cut to a break because Meghan and Joy are so passionate in their opinions.

"I'm telling you I've never had more fun fighting with someone on TV than I do with Joy Behar," Meghan said, adding that Joy is "like the older sister I never had."

Rich Fury/Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

Because of the comedian's seat on the show's panel, the conservative Meghan knows she has to bring her A-game every day.

"I go into battle every day knowing that she is smart, she knows her talking points [and] she watches as much cable news as I do," the daughter of John McCain said. "We both also enjoy the fight, which is also good."

"I will say this, it's liberating to be a woman that can do this on TV, but don't ever worry!," she said. "People get very anxious, but we always make up. I promise."

Samuel L. Jackson has most awkward interview of the year

There's an early contender for most awkward interview of the year.

On Friday, Scottish TV presenter Lorraine Kelly chatted with Samuel L. Jackson and James McAvoy about their new film, "Glass," and it was just painful. Twitter also noticed the awkwardness, equally distributing blame to the actors and the media personality.

The uncomfortable exchange began when the stars were asked if they needed to see "Unbreakable" and "Split" before watching "Glass," as they were the two movies that preceded the new film.

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

Samuel plainly answered, "No." He then laughed while adding, "It's a wonderful standalone piece."

Lorraine, trying to agree, said, "I've seen the other two movies so I got a lot more out of it as well. So it's maybe not a bad idea before you see this one to make sure you've seen the other two."

Samuel replied, "Not a bad idea, but not necessary."

James, perhaps sensing the oddness, added, "You could watch them on a marathon though which is quite a nice thing to do."

REX/Shutterstock

Samuel then jumped in, "Or you could watch them in any order you want and make what you want of it."

The short and bizarre exchanges continued.

At one point, Lorraine applauded the men for having "no vanity" with their appearance, praising them for not caring how "bad" they look in a role.

"Is she talking to me or you?" Samuel giggled while looking at James. "You're talking about our dual commitment to how we don't care about how we look."

James added, "Thanks love. We've only got a good sense of humor, that's why we've got so much love in our lives."

Stephen Lovekin/Variety/REX/Shutterstock

As the cringeworthy chat was ending, the TV host marveled at Samuel's age, saying she couldn't believe he was 70 years old, having celebrated the milestone three weeks ago.

"I don't believe it either," he said. "Thank you. I'm not sure what that means. But OK, thank you."

Twitter quickly commented on the interview.

"Thank god that conversation is over. Even my dogs were cringing," one person wrote. Another added, "This is buttock clenchingly awful."

Some blasted Lorranie for her interview skills. Others, meanwhile, blamed the stars, saying they were "deliberately being difficult."
