The 2019 Golden Globes are here! And while we love seeing which stars picked up honors for their acting, we also love seeing who fared well in fashion… and who didn't! One example of the latter? Lucy Liu, who takes home the esteemed honor of worst dressed on the Golden Globes red carpet. The star sported this tragic Galia Lahav combination of a dress and cape from the designer's "And God Created Woman" collection, which was comprised of a one-shouldered nude-hued dress with neon-colored embellishments underneath a sheer full-length cape-like cover. And if the unfortunate dress wasn't enough, she finished her look with an equally underwhelming hairstyle, which we'll see next…

She took some risks with her unfortunate frock, but Lucy Liu strangely played it a little too safe in the hair and makeup department. Lucy's matronly, dull updo (seriously, this is the most boring updo we've seen in years!) sealed the deal on this fashion miss. Not even those sparkly dangling earrings could turn this mess around.

The belle of the ball! Constance Wu donned our favorite look of the night — this custom Vera Wang gown. The nude-hued confection featured spaghetti straps and a sheer bodice and culminated in a floor-length tulle skirt, all tied together with an exquisite orange velvet bow. The unexpected color pairing paid off, making this princess-style gown a stand-out of the night.

Finishing off this flawless ensemble? Constance Wu's delicate diamond necklace. We loved the dainty collared style and the way it had one tiny teardrop diamond hanging from the center. Equally fabulous? The messy updo and pink lip that completed the star's look!
Nicole Kidman was our personal fashion MVP of award season last year, which makes this look all the more disappointing. The star donned a raspberry-hued, fitted Michael Kors gown to the Golden Globes. From the high neck to the long sleeves, frankly, this was just too many sequins. Hopefully she turns things around over the rest of this year's award season.
Lady Gaga always spices up a red carpet, and the 2019 Golden Globes were no exception. Though her cornflower blue Valentino gown was polarizing, we fell in the "love it!" category. Her diamond and platinum cluster earrings were also gorgeous, and she finished her whole Globes look off with fabulous makeup. The smoky eye and pink lip were the perfect complement to this ultra-glam getup.
A short dress? At the Golden Globes? Really, Elisabeth Moss? The star sported this strapless Christian Dior minidress and though it's a sweet LBD, we're baffled as to why she'd pick this to wear to one of Hollywood's biggest nights. Instant miss!
Typically these half-pant, half-skirt ensembles don't work, but leave it to mega movie star Julia Roberts to pull one off flawlessly! Her black and tan Stella McCartney design started with a one-shouldered bodice in a shimmering tan fabric before giving way to a pair of impeccably tailored black pants with half of a tan tulle pleated skirt behind it. Julia Roberts' beauty look started with glamorous, wide waves, which she paired with warm-toned makeup and a pink lip. When it came to jewelry, Julia selected Chopard jewels worthy of her megawatt smile — earrings comprised of 26.45 carats of pear-shaped diamonds.
It probably goes without saying that leopard print on a formal red carpet is rarely a good idea. So sequined leopard print… is always a big fat no. Unfortunately, no one passed that memo along to Anne Hathaway, who donned this disastrous Elie Saab creation comprised of multicolored animal-print patterns.
Emma Stone's pale pink Louis Vuitton gown was a work of art — literally! The stunning Atelier design took 30 embroiderers over 800 hours to craft, thanks to the intricate twisted glass tubes that were used to create the gown's scale pattern. That hard work paid off big-time, resulting in one of Emma's most elegant red carpet looks to date.
Amy Adams seriously underwhelmed in this teal blue off-the-shoulder Calvin Klein frock. The slinky cut fit the star flawlessly, but we were hoping for a little more sparkle, shimmer or shine on this big fashion night. For the bore factor, we have to put this one on the miss list.
Celine dream! We adored Rachel Weisz's black and white confection, which started with plenty of white ruffles from the neckline down to the short, off-the-shoulder sleeves. The rest of the dress was in fitted black, serving as the perfect complement to the full, frilly top half.
Another black and white look that worked? Charlize Theron's Dior gown. From the strapless bodice with a keyhole detail down the center and a bow to the slinky, creamy white skirt, we loved this sleek, feminine frock. Up next, a better look at that sweet bow and her exquisite Bulgari jewels…

Yikes! Amber Heard comes in as the worst dressed runner-up at the Golden Globes, giving us an example of how black and white can go wrong. The Monique Lhuillier frock started with a fitted, strapless bodice that gave way to a massive, full ball gown skirt, culminating in this disastrous look.
Another member of the black and white club? Kaley Cuoco, whose black, white and midnight blue Monique Lhuillier look fared a lot better than Amber Heard's. We loved the sweet bow at the waist and the best detail of all — pockets!
Sorry, Rachel Brosnahan, but you're on the miss list! From the front, her yellow Prada dress vibed more summer sundress than red carpet couture thanks to the halter-style neckline and pleated bodice. The hairstyle was certainly snoozeworthy, but at least it helped show off Rachel Brosnahan's earrings! We loved the way the drop jewels complemented the hue of her Prada dress. And we were also fans of that pretty pink lip!
Alison Brie's Golden Globes vibe was punk-rock princess thanks to her edgy-yet-sweet Vera Wang confection. We liked the unexpected combination of pale blue tulle and a ball gown skirt that gave a little peep at a heavily embellished bra-like detail at the bodice. A+, Alison!
While we always appreciate a risk in the men's fashion department, Timothee Chalamet's attempt was a swing and a miss. The Louis Vuitton getup featured a sparkly, harness-like addition down the collarless dress shirt. Considering the young star has previously pulled off some stellar fashion moments, we were seriously bummed with this pick.
It was custom Alberta Ferretti for Regina King! The star donned this stunning, structured and strapless rose gold gown for the big night, and it glimmered on the red carpet and made for a major fashion moment. In fact, we're going to say this is Regina King's best red carpet look ever!
Hate is a strong word, but we seriously disliked Julianne Moore's Givenchy gown. The white dress featured a chunky halter-style neckline, a strange cut-out down the bodice and an even stranger cape-like detail down the back, making this one an easy miss.
Isla Fisher had one of the most adorable designs of the night! We fell hard for her Monique Lhuillier ball gown — complete with its sweetheart neckline and alternating stripes of black lace.
We adore Judy Greer, and we typically love a good pantsuit… but we can't get behind this look! Judy arrived in this oversized silk Alberto Ferretti combo, complete with a bow tie, and though it definitely made a statement, it wasn't a good one.
Obsessed! From the deep purple hue to the stunning beaded embellishments, Lupita Nyong'o's Calvin Klein by Appointment gown was certainly a standout on the red carpet. Equally incredible? Her earrings, which we'll see next…

Melissa McCarthy brought another pop of color aside from her pretty purple Reem Acra gown with a bright red lip. Equally standout? Her Chopard earrings made up of 10.64-carats of pear-shaped diamonds, 6.46-carats of oval-shaped diamonds, 4.06-carats of round brilliant-cut diamond and 2.11-carats of marquise-shaped brilliant-cut diamonds set in stunning platinum.
Kate Mara's Moschino dress left a lot to be desired. From the unfortunate baby-doll silhouette to the way she paired it with a bizarre series of teeny-tiny buns down the back of her head, this look was one best forgotten.
We love a fashion risk, and Emily Blunt's Alexander McQueen tea-length dress was an interesting selection that paid off. We adored the unexpected structure and length of the dress — with its high neck and asymmetrical lace hemline — and how it was all comprised of that textured grey lace. See her beauty look next…

Will Debra Messing ever make it onto the hit list? Today is not the day. This disastrous Pamella Roland needed to pick a lane when it came to sparkles or feathers. Unfortunately, Debra's dress featured too many of both embellishments, resulting in this fashion mess.
Saoirse Ronan joined the hit list in this Gucci creation at the Globes. The antique platinum beaded sheer tulle gown was custom-made for the star and fit her like a glove. We appreciated the super-sparkly, glam Globes-appropriate look, and the way she accessorized with Chopard earrings and rings.
We typically adore Caitriona Balfe's every fashion move, but she let us down on Globes night. The "Outlander" beauty donned this custom Moschino design made up of burgundy and black velvet, and though the rich hues and fabric were gorgeous, the pleated bodice combined with the exaggerated hips wasn't out favorite silhouette of the night.

And sometimes playing it safe in the fashion department backfires! Kristen Bell kept things so seriously neutral at the Globes that we'll definitely forget about this pale pink Zuhair Murad number by tomorrow.

Pretty pretty princess! Kiki Layne looked like royalty at the Golden Globes, arriving in style in this pale pink confection by Dior. From the off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves to the caged detailing on the corset to the stunning full tulle skirt, we instantly fell in love with this dress.
There was a lot happening on Halle Berry's Zuhair Murad gown… and not all of it was pretty. The rich burgundy shade certainly turned heads, but the long-sleeved gown was trying to do too much at one time. With stripes and a plunging neckline and a ruffled thigh-high slit and a thick belt detail, there was just too much to focus on at once. Her strappy black Loriblu shoes, on the other hand, thankfully kept things simple.
Looking cooler than cool, Jamie Lee Curtis rocked frosty white hair to match her icy white long-sleeved dress. We loved the silver detailing down the bodice and the slit up the front, and the way she accessorized with even more white in the form of that clutch.
Yawn! We've seen variations of this dress about a thousand times, so Catherine Zeta-Jones' look was a serious snooze. Not even that pretty emerald shade could make the Elie Saab dress more interesting.
From far away, Connie Britton's Christian Siriano dress looked dull and was nearly an instant miss. But the detailing up close actually turned this one from drab to fab and changed our minds. Let's get a closer look…

We're puzzled by both this dress… and the fact that Camilla Belle is at the Golden Globes. The star donned this deep blue Jason Wu dress with a dark green leaf motif. The fitted, mermaid-style gown featured thin straps that sat at the edge of her shoulders and a black belt detail, but it was her bizarre makeup that eclipsed this entire look. Why? We've seen this trend pop up before and, rightly, die out a few times now. Unfortunately, Camilla Belle tried to revive it again at the Globes, opting for a turquoise shade all around her eyes. The bizarre choice eclipsed any other pretty details of her look — like that pink lip or those gorgeous dangly earrings — because it's all we can focus on!

We'll start with the good — those earrings! Lili Reinhart donned these beautiful stunners from Swarovski, which her sleek updo helped to show off. Though she went with a red dress, she surprisingly opted for a pink lip. But she lost us with the eyeshadow. Like Camilla Belle, Lili opted to do the all-over application, surrounding her eyes with dramatic red eyeshadow, putting a strange spin on an otherwise classically glamorous look.
Jameela Jamil served up some serious prom vibes at the Golden Globes, rocking this strapless coral number. Though we appreciated the pop of color on the carpet, the full skirt and oddly placed floral embellishments gave us flashbacks to our senior prom, which is never a good thing.
"Bohemian Rhapsody" actress (and significant other of Rami Malek) Lucy Boynton took the Golden Globes literally, opting to wear this glimmering gold number by Celine. The frock made a splash on the carpet with a plunging neckline, a thigh-high slit and banded long sleeves.
Giuliana Rancic served up a surprising instant miss. From the dull color to the uninspired neckline to the over-beaded neckline detail, we're unsure why the E! News host picked this Gucci dress to wear on one of the biggest nights in Hollywood.
Emmy Rossum had a pretty-in-pink moment on the Globes carpet, rocking this rosy Monique Lhuillier ball gown. We loved the detailing on the strapless bodice and the way Emmy rocked her hair down and slicked back, but her makeup was a different story. See it next!
There is such a thing as too much pink! Case in point: Emmy Rossum's makeup! The star picked colors to complement her pretty Monique Lhuillier gown, but it was rosy-hued overkill. From the excessive eye makeup to tons of blush, the star needed to tone it down a bit.
We loved the hue of Natalie Morales's Golden Globes gown! But we wish it had a more exciting silhouette. We're going to have to toss this one in the miss pile, due to that humdrum halter-style neckline and boring A-line cut.

Usually, the choice of a messy bun contrasted with a super-glamorous dress wouldn't work, but Francia Raisa totally pulled it off! Her tight bun also helped show off her phenomenal brows (we have serious brow envy!) and warm-toned makeup, which included a perfect nude lip.
Kristin Cavallari really went full glam at the Golden Globes, opting for a very sheer, glimmering gown by Amen Couture with strategically placed beading. Though we weren't crazy about this over-the-top dress, we did love her hair and makeup. Check them out next!
We didn't love Kristin Cavallari's dress, but this ponytail is pretty divine. That, paired with those stunning drop earrings from Chopard — comprised of 47.51 carats of oval-shaped kunzites, 3.69 carats of pear-shaped diamonds, .36-carats of garnets and .25-carats of diamonds — helped salvage an otherwise major miss for Kristin.
When your dress reminds us of wallpaper, it's never a good thing. Sorry, Molly Sims, but this all-over floral gown definitely goes on the miss list.
