Demi Lovato Spending Holidays In Rehab?

Will Demi Lovato spend Christmas and New Year's in rehab? That's the claim from one of this week's celebrity magazines. But it's not true. The tabloid that published the story about Lovato remaining in a treatment facility through the holidays is somehow unaware the singer has actually already left rehab.

John Salangsang/BFA/REX/Shutterstock

In a piece titled, "Demi Lovato's Blue Christmas," the National Enquirer maintains, "Lovato will spend Christmas in rehab." The supermarket tabloid further asserts "insiders" says the actress and singer "will continue to stay at an East Coast facility until at least early 2019." The rest of the magazine's article offers no particular insight and instead rehashes how Lovato nearly died of a drug overdose in July.

But since a "picture is worth a thousand words," or at least more than the words in the Enquirer, it's clear Lovato is no longer in rehab. On Election Day this past Tuesday, Lovato posted a photo on Instagram of her voting in California. Alongside the picture of her at the West Coast polling station, she wrote, "I am so grateful to be home in time to vote!"

And it wasn't just a one-time furlough. Lovato got out of rehab and returned to Los Angeles a little more than a week ago. Last Saturday, for instance, Lovato was photographed after her 90-day rehab stint getting sushi at the Beverly Hills restaurant Matsuhisa with designer Henry Levy. It was also reported, and Gossip Cop has confirmed, that Lovato is currently dividing her time between a halfway house and a private home in L.A. as she continues to work on her sobriety. Basically, the magazine's flimsy story about Lovato spending Christmas in rehab and remaining there through the beginning of 2019 is easily disproven.

The publication does not have a stellar record for accuracy when reporting about the singer. For example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet when it ran a completely bogus article about Lovato being engaged to Wilmer Valderrama. While the two dated for a long time and have remained extremely close, Valderrama didn't ask her to marry him at a restaurant in 2015.

Gossip Cop also shot down the tabloid's manufactured story about Lovato and Selena Gomez feuding over playing Linda Ronstadt in a movie about the 1970s and 1980s rock star who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. That was also off-base, especially since there's no biopic in the works about Ronstadt. Maybe the magazine should spend the upcoming holidays looking for new and better Lovato sources.

Courteney Cox Refuses To Marry Johnny McDaid Unless He Signs Prenup?

One of the tabloids claims Courteney Cox refuses to marry boyfriend Johnny McDaid unless he signs a prenup. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

Invision/AP

A headline in the latest issue of Star reads, "Courteney & Johnny: Why They'll Never Marry!" The accompanying article pretends to have insight into why the actress and her boyfriend haven't tied the knot. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Court got massively ripped off in her divorce from David Arquette, and her lawyers have taught her since then to put her financial needs first."

The outlet's questionable source continues, "She will not get married unless Johnny signs a prenup that would basically give him nothing if they ever divorced." The supposed tipster goes on to note that the "Friends" star is worth significantly more than the Snow Patrol rocker, before adding, "Court is just leaving things as they are. She doesn't need the white gown and the walk down the aisle. For these two, it's looking more like 'I never!'"

The magazine's account of the couple's relationship simply isn't accurate. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Cox, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that the tabloid's story is fabricated. Although the actress and her boyfriend may not be headed down the aisle any time soon, it has nothing to do with a dispute over a prenup.

In fact, Cox opened up about her romance with McDaid at the Irish Arts Center Spirit of Ireland Gala in New York City last month. When asked if she and the rocker had gotten hitched, the actress responded, "We're not married. I'm married in my heart." She went on to suggest that the formality of marriage isn't important to her, noting that the term "husband" is just "a label." For his part, McDaid added, "My thoughts are never without Court. She's my best friend. She's my partner, in everything." It certainly doesn't sound like there's any drama between the happy couple, despite Star trying to create a nonexistent battle over a prenup.

Earlier this year, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid's sister outlet, OK!, for making up a bogus story about the actress's relationship with her ex-husband. The publication falsely claimed that Cox was battling with Arquette over how to raise their 14-year-old daughter Coco. In reality, the exes have both said in recent interviews that they've remained friendly and work together to co-parent their teenage daughter. This new article about Cox's current relationship is no more accurate.

Alex Rodriguez's ex 'blindsided' by J.Lo's involvement in child support feud

Jennifer Lopez is inserting herself into the child support battle Alex Rodriguez is having with his ex-wife, Cynthia Rodriguez.

The New York Post reported that the singer attended a Sept. 13 mediation that Alex and Cynthia had.

"J-Lo's presence blindsided Cynthia," the Post said.

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for ELLE Magazine

According to multiple reports, Alex currently pays his ex over $100,000 monthly for their daughters Natasha, 13, and Ella, 10. J. Lo is arguing that Alex should only pay $10,000 a month.

"[Jennifer] is driving the bus," a source told the Post.

The report indicates that the behind-closed-doors proceedings are contentious.

Kevin Mazur /Getty Images

Cynthia recently spoke to the Post about the legal drama, hinting that J.Lo was causing an unwanted wrinkle.

"All I can tell you, there's been a shift, and I'm not sure what to attribute it to," she said last week. "Alex has dated some wonderful women since our divorce, many of whom have had positive relationships with our children. Alex and I have worked well trying to create a stable environment for our daughters and there has never been an issue. Until now."

This isn't a case of Cynthia wanting to get back together with her ex. She's engaged and has a child with her new man.

"Everybody got along," Cynthia said of the relationship between her fiancé and A-Rod early on. "Everything was fine. This is all new."

TMZ said last month that Alex is upset because he feels like he's "bankrolling" Cynthia, her fiancé and the couple's new baby girl.

"Alex always supported the relationship and was appreciative that our children were being exposed to a person of his caliber," Cynthia said. "All was well until recently."

Felipe Ramales / SplashNews.com

TMZ reported that A-Rod currently pays $115,000 a month in child support. Cynthia's attorney told the Post that that number is "grossly inaccurate."

A-Rod and Cynthia split in 2008.

"After 10 years of flawlessness, this situation is unsettling," Cynthia said of the TMZ report. "I'm not a celebrity, nor do I care to be one. I lead a conventional life. I'm a mom. I would never try to disparage anyone Alex is dating. It's ridiculous. I try very hard to stay uninvolved. The subject [of Jennifer] is sensitive and better left not commented on in any way."

She is, though, upset that the custody battle has become news.

"That's not the way I was raised, and I find it deplorable that private information is being spread in the news," says Cynthia. "Finances are not an issue for my former husband, and they're not an issue for me. There really is no issue. That's why this is so unsettling."

Michael C. Hall said he's 'not all the way heterosexual'

"Dexter" star Michael C. Hall is happily married to a woman and he's never had a romantic relationship with a man, but he says he's not "all the way heterosexual."

"I think there's a spectrum. I am on it. I'm heterosexual," he said in an interview with The Daily Beast. "But if there was a percentage, I would say I was not all the way heterosexual."

Matthew Eisman/Getty Images for The Lucille Lor

While starring in "Cabaret" on Broadway, Michael's character kissed a male costar every night. That character, he said, forced him "to fling a bunch of doors wide open because that character I imagined as pansexual."

"I think I have always leaned into any fluidity in terms of my sexuality," he said, but added that he's never been attracted to another man

"I've never had an intimate relationship with a man. I think, maybe because of an absent father, there has definitely been a craving for an emotional intimacy with a man. I don't mean to suggest that an emotional relationship between a father and son is any way homoerotic," he said. "I mean an emotional intimacy or connection that at least in the milieu I grew up in was considered fey. I had an appetite to have emotional connections with men beyond beer, sports, and fist pumping that were considered 'gay.'"

SEBASTIEN NOGIER/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock

The Hollywood veteran hopes there will be more roles for gay and trans actors.

"I hope we get to the place where it's just not at the forefront of our consideration or focus," he said, "and that when we think of actors we think of human being working in service of whatever human experience they are called upon to simulate, so there are not just gay and trans actors playing gay and trans people but being able to play everyone. It's about characters and it's also about stories."

Spice Girls fans livid as Ticketmaster crashes during tour on sale

Many Spice Girls fans are feeling more salty than spicy right now!

Fans of the girl power group were frustrated and furious on Saturday after Ticketmaster crashed just minutes into the arena tour sale.

PA Images via Getty Images

Earlier in the week, Spice Girls fans were sent into a tizzy when the group announced that it was embarking on a eight-date reunion tour, sans Victoria Beckham. However, when many fans tried to buy tickets for the in-demand shows, many were kicked out, or the site crashed and redirected them.

"Something's gone wrong," the website told many fans. An English media outlet said it was in the process of getting two tickets, but the tickets suddenly disappeared from its online shopping cart. A message then read, "It's not you, it's us."

ITV/REX/Shutterstock

One fan tweeted: "You would of thought in this day and age with a company as big as ticketmaster with all their knowledge of people buying tickets and gigs selling out they would be able to handle a Spice Girls ticket sale."

While many were obviously frustrated with the buying process, others poked fun at the technological glitch and joked that Victoria was the mastermind behind it all. In fact, a meme began making the rounds on social media showing Victoria on a computer.

"Prime Suspect REVEALED in hunt to find who crashed Ticketmaster during the Spice Girls sale:," the meme said.

Fans noted that tickets on the secondary markets are going for upwards of $1,200.

Jill Zarin reportedly returning to 'Housewives'

Jill Zarin is getting real again!

Page Six reported on Nov. 10 that Jill will be back on "The Real Housewives of New York City," and she's already filmed multiple appearances for the upcoming season over the past month.

As of now, Jill isn't joining the show on a full-time basis.

Jill starred on the show for the first four seasons, but left in 2012 after feuding with Bethenny Frankel.

A lot has happened since Jill starred on the show — earlier this year, her husband, Bobby, passed. Bobby was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June 2009. In 2013, the cancer spread to his lungs. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016.

Since his death on Jan. 13, Jill has received support from friends and family, but still, she says, "It doesn't fill the hole."

Over the summer, Jill began dating clothing executive Gary Brody.

Some tabloids claimed Jill and Gary began seeing each other immediately after Bobby died, a claim that Jill has dismissed.

"I don't typically comment on tabloid stories but I felt it was important to set the record straight and let you all know I haven't been dating anyone for six months," she told People. "I just started accepting a few dinner dates after much thought and support from my close friends and family. I felt Bobby would want me to start to live again."

Alicia Silverstone's 7-year-old son has never taken medicine

Alicia Silverstone's 7-year-old son, Bear, is free of both meat and medicine.

"He's never had to take medicine in his life," she revealed to Page Six. "He can get sniffles and a runny nose but he's not down, he still goes to school. Two times in his life has he been like 'Mommy I don't feel good,' and it was only for a few hours and he was back running around."

The actress has been vegan now for 21 years, and her son has adopted the lifestyle, which she credits with keeping him healthy.

While reflecting on how opinions of veganism have changed, she said, "I remember when I would go on David Letterman and go on Jay Leno and they'd be like 'Vegan?! What's a vegan?' And they would just make a whole fun riff on it because it was like I was an alien, no one was talking about being vegan on television."

Alicia is thrilled with society's acceptance of veganism.

"I'm just so excited that there are people in the world that see it," she said. "Maybe they're going to take baby steps to get there [but] that's a way better place then being like 'Are you OK? Are you gonna die?'"

Caitlyn Jenner's home burned down in Southern California wildfire

Caitlyn Jenner's house, which was prominently featured on her reality TV show "I am Cait," is a total loss after it burned down in the Southern California wildfires.

The home, which sat on top of a ridge overlooking the Malibu beach, went up in flames Friday, a casualty of what's known as the Woolsey fire, TMZ reported.

MediaPunch/REX/Shutterstock

The house was gorgeous, boasting four bedrooms and 3,500 square feet. Last year, the home saw significant damage from a windstorm.

Caitlyn has lived in the home since 2015. Shortly after the purchase, the home was featured on an episode of "Celebrity Homes."

Thus far, the Woolsey fire has burned 14,000 acres, and all of Malibu is under mandatory evacuation.

Homes owned by Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian in the Hidden Hills area are all in danger, too, and the women were evacuated on Thursday night. On Friday, TMZ reported that flames reached the estate of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and they were forced to evacuated their entire security team.

Bill and Camille Cosby quietly selling 'significant' art collection

https://94890ooyala-a.akamaihd.net/h2ZzFtZzE6-vBg5orsZ2DwodZRTRr-cK/DOcJ-FxaFrRg4gtDEwOjNtNzowczE7rs

Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby and his wife, Camille, quietly sold off a prized art piece from their vast collection earlier this year, likely netting them millions.

It's not known how much Cosby sold Thomas Hart Benton's "Going West" for, but the piece sold earlier this year. It was put up for sale at Morse's Granary Gallery on Martha's Vineyard, where the famed artist spent many summers.

TRACIE VAN AUKEN/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock

Bloomberg reported that Camille also pledged another Benton painting, "The Instruction," as collateral for a loan from an art finance firm.

Experts suggest that the combined value of "Going West" and "The Instruction" is between $12 million to $14 million. Jet magazine said in 1978 that "The Cosby Show" star, 81, paid $105,000 for "The Instruction." "Going West" likely cost more.

Buck Kiechel, the owner of an art gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska, said "Going West" is "arguably the greatest American painting from the 1920s that wasn't painted by Edward Hopper."

The work has only been exhibited publicly twice since it was painted in 1926, according to the Vineyard Gazette.

Matt Slocum/AP/REX/Shutterstock

The Cosby's have many more pricey works, too. David Driskell, the couple's former curator, wrote in his "The Other Side of Color" book that Bill and Camille have acquired at least 300 works by artists like Renoir, Rembrandt, Picasso and Matisse.

Driskell called the Cosby's collection "significant."

On Sept. 25, Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in his home 14 years ago.

Ashton Kutcher mocked after tweets about bar shooting, gun reform

Ashton Kutcher was mocked online after saying he was lucky to be alive because his wife, Mila Kunis, threw his birthday party at the Thousand Oaks, California bar where 12 people were shot and killer — the birthday party, though, was in February.

Salangsang/BFA/REX/Shutterstock

"My wife threw me a birthday party this year at the Borderline. Only reason we are alive is the shooter chose a different night," he tweeted on Nov. 8. "My heart goes out to the victims. I'll say it again… Gun Reform Now! Politicians need to stop standing behind the dollar & Protect the people!"

Ashton's birthday, for the record, is February 7.

Twitter users essentially shook their heads at his tweet.

"Way to make yourself a part of the story. I flew on a plane in 2001. I could have been part of 9/11 too if I was flying that day. Could you be any more self-absorbed?," one person said.

Another said, "Wow… Way to spin a tragedy and make it about yourself. 'Omg, I could be dead, but I'm not because I wasn't there.'"

Others noted that Ashton would have likely had armed security with him had he been at the bar.

Jim Smeal/REX/Shutterstock

After his initial tweet, the actor made several passionate calls for gun reform.

"I grew up a hunter, I worked at a gun club pulling trap growing up. No body is taking your guns!!! Gun reform!!!!! Let it be a test. Your electorate doesn't want to die when they go to church or a concert or a bar!," he wrote. "The BS rhetoric around arming more people to protect others is just that, BS! Armed people got killed last night! Gun Reform now!!!"

Ashton even brought Donald Trump's daughter into his pleas, citing her presence in Pittsburgh following the attack two weeks ago at the Tree of Life synagogue.

"@IvankaTrump your brother in law was at that birthday party. He could have just as easily been a victim. You go to synagogues you could be a victim! Talk to your dad! Plead with your dad! Let this be your legacy! Gun Reform now!," Ashton said, adding, "Love thy neighbor. Gun reform now!"

The actor continued, indicating that the government needs to do more to support mental health care initiatives.

"ATF needs to require background checks. Improve state and federal systems to vet owners and buyers. Tie mental health records to purchase of fire arms. Increase funding for mental health. Focus AG (when we get one) on gun trafficking and illegal acquisition. Gun Reform now!," he said. "We all have a right to freedom unless you do something to lose that right and end up in jail. We all have a right to guns unless you do something to lose that right and get your gun taken away! Gun Reform Now!!!"

The actor tweeted to plea to several high-profile politicians, including Trump, Nancy Pelosi, Cory Booker and Ben Sasse.

"The right to bear arms was built on the notion that we could form a militia to fight back against an unjust government. Is that realistic today? A nuclear bomb is an arm. Do you have the right to own that? Gun Reform Now!! No one is taking your guns," he said. "If your argument is that these reforms won't change anything I simply ask 'What problems will be the reforms create?' No one is taking your guns. Gun Reform Now!"

"This isn't an either/or it's a both!Support mental health initiatives & support Gun Reform Now!!," he said. "My friend gave me a gun as a gift in the parking lot of the borderline on my birthday. I've never shot it. I don't think I ever will.❤️to the families of the lost. Change is coming."

Danielle Staub's estranged husband secretly listed shared house for $2M

Danielle Staub's estranged husband listed their house for sale without telling her, according to a new report.

TMZ said the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star found out that her house was on the market for over $2 million after a friend called her. A shellshocked Danielle apparently started crying upon hearing the news, as she and her youngest daughter currently live in the home in New Jersey.

Santiago Felipe/Getty Images

Her estranged husband, Marty Caffrey, also lives in the 7,500 square foot home, but they keep their distance inside the walls.

TMZ claimed that the reality TV star called Marty to get an explanation. She then called her lawyer to see if she can block the sale.

"This is yet another example of the blatant disrespect and emotional abuse she has endured in this relationship," Danielle's rep said.

The home is more of a mansion, as it has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 10-foot ceilings.

Danielle and Marty were married in May, but their romance hit the skids almost immediately.

Just four months after tying the knot, the "Housewives" star was served with divorce papers. The filing, though, really came as no surprise, as the two had been feuding for months. Two months after their wedding date, he skipped her lavish birthday party because they were fighting, a report alleged. In August, New York City media claimed that the marriage was in shambles and Marty had been refusing to speak to Danielle. However, he was speaking to other people.

Getty Images

During an interview with Radar Online in late July, Marty accused Danielle of "financial, verbal and emotional abuse."

The same day, Danielle's rep responded, telling Page Six that Marty's behavior was extremely troubling considering he's refused to discuss what's happening with his wife. "Danielle is very disappointed that Marty spent time composing a three-page statement for the media but won't sit down and talk with her about the situation," her rep told the New York Post's gossip column, adding, "She is also disappointed that he seems much more concerned about press coverage than he does about his marriage."

The duo later filed restraining orders against each other, but dropped them in August.
