William H. Macy Putting Acting Career On Hold To Save Felicity Huffman Marriage?

A tabloid claims William H. Macy is putting his acting career on hold to save his marriage to Felicity Huffman following the college admissions cheating scandal. The story isn't remotely accurate. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

Todd Williamson/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty Images

As Gossip Cop has reported, the "Desperate Housewives" actress is pleading guilty to the fraud charges against her in the nationwide college admissions scam. Huffman admitted to paying $15,000 to have a proctor correct her daughter's incorrect SAT scores. According to OK!, the actress's marriage has been falling apart amid the controversy, but her husband is determined to repair it.

A supposed source tells the outlet, "It was hard in the beginning with them crying and fighting, but it's sinking in that their cozy family could be torn apart – and he's really stepped up." The alleged insider goes on to say that Macy is "putting his work life on hold" to ensure that his marriage "ins't headed toward a meltdown." The suspicious tipster adds, "Bill has been so caught up in work that he's never slowed down like this before. As nasty as this scandal has been, it's made Bill appreciate what he has with Felicity even more."

The first problem with the tabloid's phony story is that the spouses of more than 20 years aren't having marriage problems as a result of the college admissions scandal. Less than a month ago, OK!'s sister outlet, the National Enquirer, falsely claimed Macy was divorcing Huffman as a result of her pleading guilty to the charges against her. The actor's own spokesperson told us on the record that the claim "couldn't be further from the truth."

People magazine, a more reputable celebrity news outlet than any of the tabloids, noted last month that Huffman and Macy "remain united" amid the scandal. The spouses simply aren't on the verge of a divorce over the controversy. The actor is supporting his wife during her legal troubles, but the idea he's trying to save their marriage simply isn't true.

As for the notion that Macy is putting his career on hold, that's not the case either. The actor's hit Showtime series "Shameless" has been renewed for a 10th season, and shooting is expecting to begin sometime this summer. Simply put, every aspect of the outlet's article is untrue.

Unfortunately, the college admissions cheating scandal has resulted in a lot of bogus stories about the state of the couple's marriage. Back in March, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style for wrongly reporting that Huffman and Macy were headed for a divorce over the situation. The gossip media simply has no insight into what's going on between the spouses behind closed doors.

Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson Feuding?

Are Chris Hemsworth and Brie Larson really feuding? One of this week's tabloids claims the Avengers: Endgame co-stars are at war. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony drama.

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

According to Star, Hemsworth believes the actress has had a bad attitude throughout the promotional tour for their Marvel movie. A supposed source tells the magazine, "It frustrates Chris that Brie has come in and is acting like she owns the place just because Captain Marvel was number one at the box office. Chris is the easiest person to get along with, but he thinks she's a prima donna."

The alleged tipster further contends that Larson demanded "top billing and to be seated in the best position during cast interviews." The questionable insider adds, "Brie appears to think she's the best thing that happened to the Marvel franchise. She believes her own hype and comes off as rude. Everyone is getting irked – most of all, Chris."

Here's what's really happening. Hemsworth and Larson got into a playful spat during a recent interview with "Entertainment Tonight" and Star is now attempting to create a fake battle between them. During the interview, the co-stars got into a lighthearted argument over who performed more stunts and whose character was stronger. The magazine doesn't mention that during the same interview, Larson was asked if she stole anything from the Avengers: Endgame set, and Hemsworth responded, "You stole our hearts."

Also last month, Larson retweeted fan art of Thor and Captain Marvel fighting alongside each other, and tagged Hemsworth in the tweet. It seems very unlikely the actress would share a photo singling out their two characters if she truly didn't get along with her co-star. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Larson, who tells us on the record that the outlet's report is entirely untrue. Despite what the magazine's anonymous "source" claims, a the actress's spokesperson assures us she's not feuding with Hemsworth.

It's worth noting, Gossip Cop busted a different tabloid for attempting to create a fake romance between the Avengers: Endgame co-stars. Last month, we debunked a story claiming Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, believed Larson was trying to steal her husband. That story wasn't true either, but it goes to show how the gossip media arbitrarily comes up with phony fights and love affairs. Depending on which outlet you ask, Hemsworth and Larson are either at odds or getting too close. Neither scenario is accurate.

Kristen Stewart's Friends Worried About Her Partying?

One of the tabloids claims Kristen Stewart's friends are worried about her partying too much. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. We've learned it's fabricated.

John Shearer /Getty Images for THR

"Pals Beg Wild KStew: Slow Down!" reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. The accompanying article says the actress's friends fear her alleged "boozing" is putting her health in jeopardy. "To Kristen, the only way to blow off steam is by partying," a supposed source tells the magazine. "She goes out most nights – usually to house parties where she can be herself and slug back some beers."

The alleged insider further contends that Stewart looked worse for wear at a Los Angeles bar following the premiere of her new movie JT LeRoy. "She's working on back-to-back films, and the grind isn't helping her," adds the seemingly phony tipster. "What she needs is a relaxing vacation to detox and sleep."

There's simply no truth to the magazine's baseless story. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Stewart, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us no one in the actress's inner circle believes she's partying too hard. The outlet's story is completely fabricated and there's zero evidence to back it up.

Of course, Star is hardly a reliable source when it comes to accurately reporting about the actress. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid last year for falsely claiming Stewart and Drew Barrymore were "lovers." The actress, who's currently dating stylist Sara Dinkin, never hooked up with Barrymore. Prior to that, we called out Star's sister outlet, OK!, for making up a bogus story about Stewart pursuing a romance with Cate Blanchett, who shares four kids with her husband of 21 years.

Meanwhile, this idea of a celebrity partying too hard is a recurring theme that the tabloids like to recycle. In March, Gossip Cop debunked a Star story claiming Katy Perry's friends feared her relationship with Orlando Bloom was going to end as a result of his "partying." Prior to that, we busted a publication for making up a story about Jennifer Lawrence being "lonely" and partying out of control.

Gossip Cop also called out a tabloid for wrongly reporting that Colin Farrell's friends were worried about his so-called "drinking." In reality, the actor has been sober for more than a decade. Stewart is just the latest celebrity to be arbitrarily labeled a problematic partier. This latest take on the subject is more fiction.

Julia Roberts, Danny Moder Took Trip To Hawaii To Save Marriage?

A tabloid claims Julia Roberts and Danny Moder's recent trip to Hawaii was designed to save their marriage. There's no truth to the story. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

SplashNews.com

The spouses of nearly 17 years recently enjoyed a Hawaiian getaway, but according to In Touch, the vacation came "after years of fights, drama and escalating tensions." A supposed source tells the magazine, "It's no secret that they have had their ups and downs and have almost called it quits in the past. Thing had gotten so bad that they had to make a decision: Either walk away or make every effort to resolve their issues."

The alleged insider maintains that Roberts and Moder had grown apart because the actress has "been extremely busy with work," and they've also had "heated arguments over his jealously issues." "So they decided to go to Hawaii, and it worked wonders," adds the suspicious tipster. "It helped them reconnect and save their marriage."

The seemingly phony source goes on to say that the couple is now "seeing a therapist, and Julia's agreed she needs to create a healthier balance between work and personal life." The so-called "insider" concludes, "Julia and Danny know a vacation isn't going to magically solve things, but at least they're working through their problems."

Here's what's really happening. In Touch has been wrongly alleging for years that Roberts and Moder were headed for a divorce. Not only are the spouses going strong, but a few weeks ago, they were spotted packing on the PDA on a beach in Hawaii. Instead of acknowledging it's been wrong, the outlet is trying to save face by claiming the couple managed to "save" their relationship.

However, the actress herself has gushed about her marriage in several interviews over the past few months alone. On Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop podcast, Roberts said that marrying Moder changed her life "in the most incredible, indescribable way." Shortly before that, Roberts said in a Harper's Bazaar cover story that false tabloid stories about her marriage "still hurt my feelings." She added, "Because I'm so proud of my marriage… there's so much happiness wrapped up in what we've found together."

It must be mentioned, Gossip Cop busted In Touch last October for wrongly reporting that Roberts had gotten pregnant to save her marriage. Time has proven that wasn't the case. Back in 2017, we called out the magazine for falsely claiming Roberts bought a new house in Malibu to repair her marriage and prevent Moder from going away on surfing trips. The couple's relationship has never been in need of saving, despite how many times the tabloid pushes this phony narrative.

What Happened To Gwen Stefani's Cooking Show And Cookbook?

What ever happened to Gwen Stefani's cooking show and the cookbook she was writing? That was premise behind a magazine's story from exactly one year ago today. At the time, Gossip Cop noted it was untrue, and clearly 12 months later there's no series nor a printed collection of her favorite recipes.

David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock

On May 8, 2018, OK! and its sister publication Life & Style swore up and down Stefani was going to do a series for the Food Network in which she would have "celebrity guests [on] the show," most notably her boyfriend Blake Shelton. The tabloids said the show was a project Stefani had "dreamed" about for a very "long time," and was coming to fruition thanks to her friend Giada de Laurentiis. The outlets even asserted the singer was going to make a career change and focus on the food program and put together a cookbook.

The two magazines' reports were based on quotes from an anonymous, untraceable, and seemingly phony "source." Conversely, Gossip Cop reached out to Stefani's rep who, speaking on her behalf, assured us the entire narrative was fabricated. Now, a full 365 days later, it should be readily apparent that the publications either concocted the tales themselves or relied on a very untrustworthy tipster. In either case, the claims about Stefani shifting professions was 100 percent false. In fact, since those bogus articles, the No Doubt singer has launched her "Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl" residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas that began in June 2018 and runs through November 2019.

Like a plate of food that's been left out, the tabloid's tales also went bad over time. And in the intervening year since those pieces, the two magazines haven't gotten any better with serving up dish about Stefani. Just three weeks ago, for example, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style when it wrongly maintained in a cover story that Stefani announced at her wedding to Shelton that she was pregnant. Of course, they didn't marry at his Oklahoma ranch and she's not expecting a baby. Nor did Shelton and Stefani have a quickie wedding in Mexico, which the outlet had previously insisted in April 2018.

And OK!'s reporting about her is no better. Just last week, Gossip Cop shot down a claim about Stefani's parents giving Shelton permission to propose to her. Her spokesperson similarly told us that was also wrong. And earlier in the year, we corrected that same outlet's cover story which falsely alleged Stefani was having a baby girl with Shelton. Basically, those tabloids come up with a lot of untrue articles about the singer, including how Stefani was going to have her own cooking show on the Food Network, but they rarely pan out.

When Gossip Cop revisits articles from the year before it's not to pat ourselves on the back for being right. Rather, it's to show readers which publications they can and cannot trust for accurate information. In this case, Gossip Cop roasted both magazines for their misguided pieces about Stefani.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcome 'perfect' baby No. 4

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are officially parents to four children, having welcomed their latest child via a surrogate.

Michael Buckner/Variety/REX/Shutterstock

On Friday, Kim tweeted that their son had arrived.

"He's here and he's perfect!," she tweeted, making no mention of what they've named their newest bundle of joy.

According to reports, Kim and Kanye were both at the hospital when the surrogate went into labor on Thursday night.

The surrogate in this case is different than the one they used when they welcomed their daughter Chicago in January 2018.

Still, Kim couldn't help but notice the similarities between their new family addition and 16-month-old Chicago.

"He's also Chicago's twin lol I'm sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her," Kim tweeted.

The baby reportedly weighs 6 lb. 9 oz.

Back in January when Kim announced that she and her husband were going to have a fourth child, a source told E! News, "Kim and Kanye have known for awhile and are very excited. They had one male embryo left and are thrilled it has worked out. Kim always wanted four kids and having two boys and two girls feels perfect."

Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/REX/Shutterstock

Prior to the birth, Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian revealed that it was only a matter of time until their family expanded by one, telling Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday that Kim's surrogate had gone into labor.

"My mom doesn't even know this but Kim's surrogate went into labor," Kourtney said. "So, she's at the hospital." Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, who was also a guest on the show, shockingly commented, "No! What are we doing here?! C'mon Ellen."

Charlize Theron Rumors

Charlize Theron is often at the center of bogus tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has debunked countless false reports about the actress. Here are five recent wrong rumors.

Gael Colliguet/REX/Shutterstock

Gossip Cop busted Life & Style in April for wrongly reporting that Ben Affleck's friends were trying to set him up with Theron. The magazine maintained that the actor's pals wanted him to start dating the actress because she's a both "great mom" and "drop-dead gorgeous." The story was based on claims from an anonymous "source," but Affleck's own rep told us on the record that it was totally untrue. No one in the actor's circle was attempting to make a love connection between him and Theron.

Gossip Cop also called out OK! last month for falsely claiming Sandra Bullock was helping Theron find a boyfriend. According to the outlet, Bullock told the actress that her boyfriend Bryan Randall has a lot of "great, cute friends" she should date. Not only did a reliable source assure us the story was made-up, but while promoting her new movie Long Shot last month, Theron told "Extra" she's not looking for love at the moment. "I'm gonna finish this press tour then I'm gonna shoot a movie in London, and I'm figuring like around September we'll talk about this," said the actress.

Also last month, Gossip Cop debunked a Life & Style article alleging Theron was being difficult on the set of her upcoming movie about former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, in which she plays Megyn Kelly. A supposed source told the outlet the actress was fighting with the director and had "the crew walking on eggshells around her." The unreliable outlet didn't seem to realize that the Ailes project finished shooting several months ago. Also, set photos from the film also told a very different story, as the actress could be seen laughing and chatting with crew members in between takes. Meanwhile, Theron said in an interview on "The Howard Stern Show" that the reason she signed on for the project is because the film's director, Jay Roach, is a close friend of hers.

Back in February, Gossip Cop busted the Globe for making up a ridiculous story about Theron having a baby with Brad Pitt. The phony report came on the heels of rumors that the two were dating, which was never the case. Pitt's spokesperson went on the record several times to confirm he's never been in a relationship with the actress. Shortly after we debunked the story, Theron revealed in an interview that she's been single for several years.

And finally, Gossip Cop called out In Touch in January for falsely claiming Theron was fighting with Jennifer Aniston over Pitt. As noted above, Theron has never been romantically involved with the actor. As for Aniston, she's not looking to reconcile with her ex-husband. The two are on friendly terms, but separate reps for both stars have assured us countless times they're not getting back together. Simply put, Theron and Aniston were never battling over a man who neither of them were dating.

Meghan Markle 'Twins' Stories Exposed Poor Standards For Royal Baby Reporting

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did not have twins, despite numerous and repeated reports about them expecting two babies. For months on end, a slew of media outlets claimed they believed or even knew for certain that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were having twins, and for that same amount of time, Gossip Cop rightly noted she was carrying just one baby. And, of course, on Monday the couple welcomed their first (and only) child, Archie Harrison.

Tim Rooke/REX/Shutterstock

The false speculation began 14 months ago, even before the royals wed. In March 2018, Woman's Day alleged without any proof whatsoever that Markle and Prince Harry wanted twins. That was followed days after their wedding by a National Enquirer cover story that absurdly maintained Markle was pregnant with Prince Harry's twin babies. The often discredited supermarket tabloid tried to convince its readers it was true with a photo of the former actress, with what it asserted was a baby bump. But, as Gossip Cop noted then, the photo was taken in 2014, and she was decidedly not expecting.

Two weeks after that bogus report, Life & Style ran one of its own, insisting Markle was pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. In that fabricated article, the publication included a fake quote supposedly from Prince Harry that read, "We're naming the girl Diana." Later that same month, OK! untruthfully contended on its cover that the palace "confirmed" Markle was pregnant with twins, along with an unattributed quote inside about how "we'll raise our babies in America." Actually, Kensington Palace confirmed to Gossip Cop then that no one from the royal household spoke to the habitually disproven magazine.

Days later, Woman's Day, which kicked off the made-up narrative two months earlier with its front page about how the duchess "wants" two babies, made its own wish come true with yet another cover that incorrectly stated, Markle's dad confirmed she was pregnant with twins. On the contrary, in an interview on "Good Morning Britain" around that time, Thomas Markle said, "I don't think there is a stork in the air yet." The tabloid was simply lying.

Then, having forgotten that it declared the duchess was having a boy and a girl in June, Life & Style came back in August with yet another phony cover about Markle being pregnant with Prince Harry's twin girls. The magazine couldn't have been more wrong, but that didn't stop its other sister publication, In Touch, from parroting its tale with its own September front page story that exclaimed Markle was four months pregnant with twin girls.

Hoping the third time would be the charm, shortly after Kensington Palace officially announced the duchess' pregnancy, Woman's Day published yet another cover story about Markle and Prince Harry having twin babies. It's big proof, according to the magazine, was that when the Duchess of Sussex arrived in Australia for her first royal tour with Prince Harry, she covered her belly "with not one but two purple folders." However, while speaking later that day at the Admiralty House in Sydney, Prince Harry shared in the singular how he was excited about having "a boy or a girl."

Life & Style also struck out with its third cover when it swore up and down Markle was pregnant with twin boys. As a reminder, the first one said she was having a boy and a girl. The second one asserted she was carrying twin girls. And covering its bases, the tabloid finished with Markle expecting twin boys. None of its articles were right.

Incredibly, the manufactured stories about Markle being pregnant with twins continued right up until moments before she gave birth to Archie, with places like the Express and Pinkvilla, for example, both running pieces that twins were a strong possibility (below). And while there were many other outlets not mentioned here that wrote speculative pieces about the Duchess of Sussex expecting twins, there was one website, however, that consistently debunked it. That was Gossip Cop.

The reason why is simple: Gossip Cop fact-checked every article with our vast network of sources connected to the royal family, as well as with officials in the palace who have the authority to comment. Sadly, we expect the apocalypse to arrive sooner than members of the media issuing retractions or taking responsibility for mistakenly claiming Markle was pregnant with twins. Moving forward, Gossip Cop hopes those same outlets employ better reporting standards before birthing more rumors about the royals.

Britney Spears Pregnant And 'Ballooning'?

Is Britney Spears pregnant and "ballooning" following her recent stay in a mental health facility? That's what one of this week's celebrity magazines is speculating. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively correct report.

MediaPunch/REX/Shutterstock

According to the National Enquirer, Spears may have a new "hurdle" on her road to getting back on track, and it's that she's possibly pregnant. A so-called "insider" is quoted as guessing, "It could explain why she's pigging out and gaining weight." The supermarket tabloid further alleges its "sources" say Spears been "ballooning up in recent weeks," and has been feeling "nauseous and sleeping through most of the day."

The same anonymous tipster adds how Spears is "ravenously hungry and everyone believes it's because she's pregnant." Gossip Cop and individuals in her inner circle knows she's not pregnant, so it's not "everyone believes" it. The often discredited magazine actually has no proof whatsoever that she's carrying a baby. Instead, it only has an untraceable and seemingly fabricated "source" assert, "Her hair extensions are a total mess, and she's been eating lots of junk food like burgers, ice cream, chips and soda." Naturally, none of that is evidence she's pregnant.

The publication goes on to maintain the singer's "boyfriend," Sam Asghari, is "freaking out" about becoming a dad. Vaguely, its supposed insider then says, "Britney has to make some hard decisions about what to do next, especially if there's a baby on the way." "Not everyone thinks she'll be able to handle it," concludes the purported "source."

It bears mentioning that Spears' rep has denied she's pregnant. And as noted above, Gossip Cop was told by those in her camp that the outlet's article is "not true." Of course, we're not entirely surprised by the falsity of the report, considering how many phony the tabloid has printed about Spears.

For instance, the publication insisted last year that Spears and Asghari were engaged to be married, even though now he's referred to as her "boyfriend" and not fiance by the tabloid. And that wasn't just a outlier. Gossip Cop also busted the Enquirer around that same time when it inaccurately contended Spears and Asghari were planning a Las Vegas wedding. A full 16 months have passed and there were no nuptials in Vegas, where virtually no one plans a wedding in advance.

The magazine that forgot those flubs also ironically published a piece about how Spears was suffering "memory loss." And the same outlet that now says her boyfriend is "freaking out" about becoming a father, alleged just around three weeks ago that Spears was getting dumped by Asghari while still in the mental health facility. Despite the spokesperson and all of Gossip Cop's impeccable sources shooting down the supermarket tabloid's claim about her being pregnant, Spears herself posted a video to Instragam on Saturday that shows the tight-bodied singer doing yoga and splits in a bikini. Oops, they did it again.

Jessie J is unapologetic about misspelled tattoo

Jessie J posted a sexy bikini snap to Instagram on Thursday that showed off her body. While her physique is enviable, the singer will be the first to tell you that her body isn't perfect… nor are the words on her body.

The singer revealed she has a misspelled tattoo!

"Yes my tattoo says… 'don't loose who you are in the blur of the stars' Yes they are MY lyrics from my song who you are," she captioned the image. "Yes that I wrote Yes I spelt the tattoo wrong Yes I repeat it's spelt wrong."

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxPjslxH5pT/

The tattoo, she hilariously said, was done in England and no one seemed to notice. The botched ink has affected how she wears revealing clothing.

"Yes I got it done in Essex Yes the tattoo artist didn't mention it Yes I was 18," she said. "Yes I still don't know the difference between lose and loose Yes It's the reason I wear everything high waisted And YES I know I have small boobs. Don't waste your time telling me like I don't see them everyday."

Channing Tatum's lady love ended her post with a simple "K bye" while telling her 8 million followers not to bring her name into their conversations (in other words, "don't @ me").

Jessie gave no indication that she plans on fixing the tattoo, like so many other celebrities with botched tattoos have done.

Zendaya, 22, stuns on new cover of Vogue, dishes on 'woke' issues

Zendaya is still only 22, but she's already landed her second Vogue cover, something it sometimes takes A-list stars decades to do.

Of course, judging by her stunning look, it's not hard to see why the actress was chosen to grace the cover of the iconic magazine.

The "Euphoria" star donned a gold sequined dress from the Ralph Lauren Collection that including a plunging neckline reaching her navel.

"Waking up to this is an absolute dream," she captioned an Instagram picture of her cover. "Thank you @voguemagazine for having me again."

The cover comes just days after Zendaya stunned at the Met Gala in a light-up, Cinderella-inspired dress (Lindsay Lohan didn't like it, but she was in the minority).

Dia Dipasupil /FilmMagic

The Vogue interview, however, isn't so fashion forward, as the former Disney star dishes on her political views and the "gentrification" of her native Oakland, California. Her grandmother, she said, nearly got priced out of her home there.

"I keep thinking, Is there a way I can help with this, through art?" Zendaya, who has 55 million Instagram followers, asks. "I mean, obviously, I've got a platform, but I also know, don't just post whatever. You've got to listen to people. Talking is important. But walking the talk is important, too."

For anyone who's followed Zendaya's journey, they know she's not one to hold her tongue. Vogue noted that she is "one of the most politically vocal among a crop of 'woke' young stars, posting to Instagram in support of Colin Kaepernick, urging her fans to take action when she picked up a Teen Choice Award the day after the deadly alt-right rally in Charlottesville, and—famously—clapping back at E! announcer Giuliana Rancic's barbs about her dreadlocks at the 2015 Academy Awards."

Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock

"That whole thing was so crazy," she recalled of that moment, which saw many Hollywood stars backing her. "I mean, I'd basically snuck onto the red carpet, the plus one of a plus one."

"I got invited back as a presenter," she said of the 2018 Oscars, "so I guess I won."

Cardi B's husband escapes Atlanta drive-by shooting unscathed

Cardi B's husband, Offset, was unharmed after the Atlanta recording studio he was inside of on Wednesday night got shot up during a drive-by shooting.

TMZ reported that the Migos rapper was at the Crossover Entertainment Group studio when bullets started flying at the building. It's not known why the studio was shot up, but TMZ said "at least one witness felt [Offset] might have been the target of the shooting," as he had allegedly been outside just before the incident.

"When the gunshots rang out, we're told people inside the studio rushed into another room for cover until things calmed down," the report said.

Police confirmed the shooting, indicating that it occurred about 9 PM and it damaged three vehicles parked near the studio. The building's exterior and at least one apartment window were also damaged.

A witness also told police that one person was shot in the leg, but they were unable to confirm that.

By the time police arrived, the rapper had also left the studio. Authorities hope to speak to Offset about the incident, but have not done so yet.

Police are said to be reviewing surveillance which apparently shows a vehicle driving down the street after the bullets stopped flying.

The drive-by shooting didn't appear to get Offset down. On Thursday, he posted a teaser video to Instagram promoting DJ Snake's new video for his song "Enzo," which features Offset, 21 Savage, Sheck Wes and Gucci Mane.

Network wants Jenelle Evans' husband mentally cleared before joining new show

Just after MTV announced that Jenelle Evans would no longer be featured on "Teen Mom 2" — her husband David Eason had already been dropped from the show — a report said the she and her husband had inked a deal with WE Tv to star on "Marriage Boot Camp."

Not so fast, my friends.

Splash News

According to TMZ, the WE Tv executives are very nervous about David's behavior, so much so that they want him evaluated by a psychologist to determine if he's a safety risk to Jenelle, the other cast members and the crew. If a shrink thinks that David is not mentally stable enough to be on TV without an incident, the network may very well pull the reported contract offer.

TMZ noted that the "Marriage Boot Camp" may renege the alleged offer anyway because the network has been "flooded with negative comments" about the couple's possible participation on the show.

Interestingly, on Wednesday, WE Tv said the couple would not be on the show.

"There are no plans to cast Jenelle Evans and David Eason on #MarriageBootCamp," a tweet said.

David is no stranger to controversy. Last year Jenelle accused him of attacking her in their North Carolina home, telling a 911 dispatcher that she may have broken her collarbone during the incident. Jenelle later said it was a misunderstanding, claiming she "tripped over a hole" while arguing with her husband about something.

David, however, became a public enemy when he admitted to killing their family dog, Nugget, after it "snapped" at their 2-year-old daughter, Ensley. Last week, a source close to Jenelle told TMZ that David took Nugget outside after he lightly nipped at Ensley and continuously slammed the dog against their back deck. Afterward, a very unapologetic David took Nugget into a wooded area and shot him.

Around that same time, David threatened a reporter who asked about the incident.

A Sheriff's official allegedly called David "the most dangerous person we've seen in the 3 counties."

Last winter, David showed off a cache of guns and ammunition in a video taken after the Secret Service paid him a visit for what were perceived as threats against President Donald Trump and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.

According to TMZ, David admits he has anger issues.

Some reports indicate Jenelle is contemplating divorcing David, but on May 8, Jenelle praised her husband and said they were working on their marriage.

"Me and David are looking into marriage counseling," the reality star said, according to E! News. "He has totally been there since this happened with MTV. David's been really supportive and told me just stay positive, everything will be fine."

CNN boss denies that Matt Lauer is coming to network

CNN's top man is shutting down rumors that former "Today" host Matt Lauer is coming to the network.

"There is absolutely no truth at all in the reports that Matt is coming to CNN," Jeff Zucker told employees, according to Page Six.

Rumors of Matt's TV return via CNN began after he was spotted hamming it up with Zucker at the CNN boss' birthday party in New York City in April, along with several of the news network's top talent.

Matt and Zucker have been friends for decades, and continued to be close after Matt's unceremonious firing from NBC in the wake of multiple sexual misconduct accusations.

Matt "hopes to be back on TV by the end of the year . . . and it looks like CNN will be his new home," RadarOnline reported after Zucker's party.

Rumors that the disgraced newsman would be joining CNN wasn't exactly welcome news to many employees, particularly female employees.

"Some staff were starting to freak out that Matt Lauer was suddenly about to come back from the dead and show up at CNN's shiny new Manhattan office at Hudson Yards," a CNN insider told Page Six. "In many ways the Matt rumors seemed to make sense, ratings on CNN's morning show and across prime time have been flagging, and perhaps Matt could be brought back to revive the numbers, and his own career at the same time.

"The internal talk about Matt was that — if it turned out to be true — some senior female employees would refuse to work with him.," the insider added. "There was palpable relief in the office after Jeff confirmed Matt isn't happening."

For nearly a year, reports have surfaced claiming Matt was quietly planning a comeback. In fact, last summer while eating dinner he assured a fan that he was returning to the small screen.

"A group of older ladies came over to Lauer saying, 'We miss you!'" a source tells Page Six, adding that Matt started chatting with the group, telling them, "I've been busy being a dad. But don't worry, I'll be back on TV."

This famous actor failed Jon Snow 'Game of Thrones' audition

It's almost impossible to imagine anyone else in the role of "Game of Thrones" character Jon Snow other than Kit Harington, 32, the actor who's brought the hero to life on the hit HBO show since 2011.

But obviously other actors auditioned for the career-changing role — and now one of them who's gone on to have a very successful movie career is admitting he was one of them. He's also sharing why he thinks he failed to be cast as the one-time King in the North.

"I think I auditioned for Jon Snow," Nicholas Hoult, 29, told Page Six while promoting his newest movie, "Tolkien," at the Montclair Film Festival. "I remember it because I was filming 'Clash of the Titans' at the time, so I had long hair extensions."

Nicholas — who went on to star in the "X-Men" film franchise, "Warm Bodies," "Mad Max: Fury Road" and many more successful projects — went on to say that he thinks it was his look at the time that turned off casting directors.

While making 2010's "Clash of the Titans," in which he played Eusebios, a highly skilled soldier in the Army of Argos, "They gave me a ponytail and also a very patchy fake tan," Nicholas told Page Six. "So I remember being like, 'This is probably not what they're hoping for,' and it obviously wasn't."

So has Nicholas watched the show to see what might have been?

He revealed that he did see Season 1 but dropped it after that, though he does plan to binge-watch the other seven seasons he's missed — including the current and final Season 8 — when he's next "laid up in bed with the flu for couple days."

Nicholas next will appear in the titular role in "Tolkien," a biopic about "Lord of the Rings" author JRR Tolkien that hits theaters on May 10.

After that, he'll reprise his "X-Men" series character, Beast/Hank McCoy, in "Dark Phoenix," which is in theaters on June 7. That movie, of course, stars Sophie Turner — the actress who plays Jon Snow's would-be sister on "Game of Thrones," Sansa Stark.

Other actors who've revealed they also auditioned to play Jon Snow include Joe Dempsie, who instead was cast as Gendry Baratheon. Iwan Rheon — who played diabolical Ramsay Bolton — also auditioned for the part of Jon Snow.

"Hunger Games" franchise alum Sam Claflin has said he auditioned for both Jon Snow and Viserys Targaryen but a commitment to a movie project took him out of the running.

TSA clears agent accused of Diana Ross' 'over the top' screening

A TSA agent who Diana Ross alleged got handsy with her has been cleared, and the investigation is complete, according to a new report.

On May 5, the singing legend tweeted that a TSA agent at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International conducted a screening that was a little too friendly. She described it was "over the top" and bad enough that she wanted to cry.

The screening occurred after she went through a body scanner machine.

"Its not what was done but how , I am feeling violated – I still feel her hands between my legs , front and back ( saying to me it her job ,) WOW!!," Diana tweeted after performing at Jazz Fest. "Really mixed emotions I always like to see the good things but not feeling good right now."

On Wednesday, the TSA told TMZ that after reviewing Diana's allegation, no action was needed, saying it stood by the agent. The report said TSA investigators reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed the officers involved with Diana's screening and determined everything was done by the book.

"Protocols for resolving alarms during Advanced Imaging Technology screening were correctly followed," a TSA spokesperson told TMZ.

It's unclear if the agency spoke to the former Supremes singer during the course of the investigation.
