Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in early October 2019, starting with Miley Cyrus's latest rebound romance… On Oct. 3 — just two weeks after she and Kaitlynn Carter called it quits and not even two months after she and Liam Hemsworth announced that they were ending their marriage — Miley was seen making out with longtime pal Cody Simpson and sitting on his lap at a restaurant in Los Angeles. The following day, she confirmed the romance on her Instagram Story, sharing a shirtless photo of Cody and writing that he ticks off all her boxes because he's 22, Australian (which she described as her "type") and has abs. Since then, the pair haven't been shy about packing on the PDA on their respective social media accounts. On Oct. 5, Cody — who called Miley his "celebrity crush" back in 2012 — took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of himself pecking the singer-actress , whom he called "baby," on the forehead. Three days later, Cody visited Miley in the hospital, where she was undergoing treatment for tonsillitis, to serenade her with "Golden Thing," a song he wrote about her. The "Wrecking Ball" chart-topper documented the visit on her Instagram Story and even referred to the singer-songwriter as her "bf" in one snap. Amidst the PDA-packed social media posts, Miley also took to Twitter to slam critics of her active and very-public love life, which she called slut shaming. "I refuse to [be a] recluse and 'date' from home," she wrote, adding that "this 'dating' things is new" to her because she's never played the field as an adult due to her longtime relationship with Liam. "I was in a committed relationship for almost all my teens and early 20s; with the exception of a few breaks, which usually in those times I was working my [butt] off with not much R&R … and 'meeting/trusting' people in my position is really tuff," she continued. "I have a great life I wouldn't trade for 'privacy' but PLEASE don't make this awkward for me! … Get used to me dating — this is where I am at!" Listen up, Cody Simpson: TMZ reported on Oct. 6 that Miley Cyrus pulled the plug on her romance with Kaitlynn Carter because it was getting too serious too fast. According to the webloid's sources, the duo "got along like a house on fire" and even discussed tying the knot one day. But ultimately, the singer-actress realized she wasn't ready to make such a huge commitment so soon. TMZ reports that Kaitlynn and Miley, who lived together during their whirlwind romance, are on good terms and the star of "The Hills: New Beginnings," who isn't dating anyone yet, isn't bothered by Miley's new relationship with Cody Simpson, though she's "expressed concern over Miley's behavior to friends" and is "worried for her well-being."

Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported on Oct. 9 that, according to a source, Liam Hemsworth "hasn't been dating anyone" following his split from Miley Cyrus but is "open to meeting people." Two days earlier, Radar Online reported that, according to their sources, the Australian actor "really isn't thinking about" his ex or her new romances. "He really doesn't care anymore," said one source. "She's free to do what she likes; Liam is done with her. … I don't know if [her public flings are] her way of trying to get back at him, but he made his decision. … He wants to put all of this behind him, move on and find a fresh start." Liam appeared to get that on Oct. 10 when he was photographed holdings hands with Australian actress Maddison Brown in New York City's West Village. They were also seen grabbing a meal and drinks at Sant Ambroeus, TMZ reported.

In the wake of the news that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott recently called it quits, there have been whispers that the rapper engaged in a years-long affair with Instagram personality Rojean Kar. According to various blog reports, the 27-year-old beauty has been linked to the rapper since at least 2013. Rojean took to her Instagram Story on Oct. 3 to issue a denial: "None of these rumors are true, it's just the internet creating a false narrative. Please stop spreading lies & leave us alone because it's affecting real lives," she wrote. The following day, Travis took to his Instagram Story to deny the cheating allegations: "[It's] really affecting when you see false things said about u," he wrote. "Once again these false stories about me cheating are just simply not true. Focusing on life, music, and family at this moment is what's real." (A day earlier, Kylie tweeted that she and the "Sicko Mode" rapper are "on great terms" and that their "main focus right now" is their daughter, Stormi, and their "friendship" with each other.) Both People magazine and Us Weekly reported that, according to a mutual source, "any rumors of cheating are totally and completely false." A second Us Weekly source said that things between the duo — who are "most likely going to get back together" eventually — cooled when they couldn't agree on whether or not to have a second child (she wants one and he doesn't), though trust issues also played a part in the split. "They have trust issues for sure," said the insider, adding that it's "surprising they broke up because they have weathered worse" — specifically the February incident during which Kylie went through Travis's phone and then accused him of cheating. The source went on to say that the pair are simply not on the same page: "They are very, very in love, but she's 22, and her whole life is Stormi and her business and her family. She's not wanting to be a normal rapper's wife. He's still young and at the recording studio late. She usually goes to bed early. They have different lifestyles." Meanwhile, Travis dropped his latest single, "Highest in the Room," on Oct. 3. The lyrics seem to hint at the lifestyle differences to which Us Weekly's source alluded: "I'm doing a show, I'll be back soon / That ain't what she wanna hear," he raps on the track, which was reportedly recorded months before the breakup news hit the Internet.
Meanwhile, two times in the weeks since Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott called it quits, the makeup mogul has been seen hanging out at the same place at the same time as her ex-boyfriend Tyga — though there's no solid evidence they were definitely hanging out together. First, in the wee hours of Oct. 3, Kylie and two girlfriends stopped by the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood — where the rapper has been working on new music in the hotel's on-site recording studio — for about an hour. (According to DailyMail.com, all three women were seen arriving at the hotel a little after 2 a.m. Tyga and Kylie's two pals were photographed leaving around 3 a.m., though no one caught Kylie leaving.) Later that day, the reality star took to Twitter to downplay the situation: "The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is. There was no '2am date with Tyga.' You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at," she tweeted. But then a few days later, in the wee hours of Oct. 5, Kylie and Tyga crossed path again at another West Hollywood hotspot, Hyde, for about an hour. Coincidence? Perhaps. But if the pair are seeing each other again, Kylie certainly isn't the only woman in the "Rack City" rapper's life. According to TMZ, he was seen canoodling with a gorgeous young woman at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights on Oct. 3.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton — who've been together for a decade, share two children and were rumored to have wed in 2014 — officially tied the knot in an Oct. 5 ceremony officiated by two of the groom's best friends from work: "Supernatural" co-star Jensen Ackles and "The Walking Dead" co-star Norman Reedus. The former "One Tree Hill" star took to Instagram to shed some light on the muddled timeline in the lengthy caption of a photo of herself and her new hubby on their wedding day: "Jeff and I just want to put it out there that WE GOT MARRIED! For real," she wrote. "We've lived as husband and wife for a decade. We've built a family, and a farm and found our community. For years, publications have reported that we got married in 2014 or 2015 and that I've been married and divorced before. All untrue. But WE knew our truth. So it felt silly to try and correct anything. Here's the God's honest fact: From the moment I met @jeffreydeanmorgan, he was my husband. Rather than make vows right out of the gate, we lived them. Bella Thorne took to Instagram on Oct. 6 to reveal that she has a new girlfriend: production assistant Alex Martini. "She's very cute ✨💫 first girl I have dated that's camera shy," the singer-actress captioned a slideshow of two photos of herself and her new boo cuddling while topless in bed. Bella's boyfriend of about six months, Benjamin Mascolo, seemingly approves of the relationship: "You girls are cute," he wrote in the comments section. The "Famous in Love" alum and the Italian pop star are still an item: He took to Instagram on Oct. 8 to profess his love for her while wishing her a happy 22nd birthday, and later that night, he was on hand for her birthday party at Southern California's Six Flags Magic Mountain. Bella is no stranger to polyamory: Previously, she simultaneously romanced Tana Mongeau and Mod Sun. Both relationships came to an end earlier this year.
Zach Braff and Florence Pugh are an item. The duo, who first sparked romance rumors when they were photographed holding hands in New York City in April, were seen grocery shopping in Hollywood on Oct. 7. According to a Page Six spy, the 44-year-old "Scrubs" alum and the 23-year-old English actress were "joking and playing around" during their outing. "It was very clear to me that they're a couple," said the witness.
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 3 that, according to their sources, Khloe Kardashian isn't interested in romantically reconciling with her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, in spite of his recent attempts to woo her back (which include leaving flirtatious comments on her Instagram posts). "Khloe is co-parenting and not getting back with him," said one source. Said another, "Khloe and Tristan have been spending time together primarily involving [their daughter] True. Tristan has made it known to Khloe he wants to reconcile. … Her friends are concerned Tristan misses the lifestyle and perks that are included when dating a Kardashian." The second source added that the reality star "doesn't seem open to reconciling" with her ex and is simply encouraging him to spend time with their little girl.
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 3 that, according to a source, Kenya Moore's estranged husband, Marc Daly, "had multiple affairs" during their marriage. "She walked away from her career for him and he had no problem with that and no problem disrespecting her," said the source. In mid-September, the duo released separate statements announcing that they're calling it quits after two years of marriage and a daughter together.
Duchess Kate's brother, James Middleton, took to Instagram on Oct. 6 to announce that he and Alizee Thevenet are engaged. "She said OUI ❤️ . Our secret is out but we couldn't be happier to share the news," he captioned a selfie with his bride-to-be showing off her engagement bling, which bears a striking resemblance to Kate's engagement ring.
On the Oct. 6 episode of their "Whine Down" podcast, Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin revealed that they recently hit a speed bump in their relationship when she found a topless photo of another woman on his Apple Watch. (The duo previously weathered a cheating scandal stemming from the former professional football player's issues with sex addiction.) Mike alleges that a random woman sent him the photo via text and he immediately deleted it from his phone, but due to the cloud, the photo appeared on his Apple Watch. He went on to say that although he knew he should've immediately told his wife what happened, he ultimately decided to keep his mouth shut because he was "terrified" of how she'd react. In the process, he broke protocol for how they're supposed to handle issues regarding his sex addiction. "Jana and I have had a really good run recently — like not a lot of past stuff coming up, we've been handling situations pretty well, handling triggers pretty well, talking things out — it really felt like we were really building a lot of forward momentum," he said. Jana then shared her side of the story: "I saw [the photo] and my heart just fell. It's here. It's happened again," she said, comparing the incident to the last time she caught Mike cheating. However, when she tried to get in touch with the woman who sent the topless photo, the texts she received back were "really weird" and made her think the number might belong to a bot or spam account. But that didn't stop her from feeling betrayed by how Mike handled the situation. "The deleting things — whether it was a fluke text — sends me right back to him deleting all the messages that he did with his affairs," she said. Mike then apologized for failing to "handle it the way that we agreed upon." Jana later took to Instagram to explain that after therapy and lots of long conversations about the situation, she and her husband "are good" and have "grown stronger" from the debacle. "See that's the thing, if you're both willing to fight you can get stronger on the other side," she wrote in the extra-long caption of a photo of herself.
Us Weekly reported on Oct. 9 that Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney — who sparked rumors that they'd quietly tied the knot in mid-September — are planning a bigger wedding for later this month. According to a source, their formal wedding will be "simple and sophisticated" and not "an over-the-top celebration."
In other upcoming-nuptials news… Us Weekly reported on Oct. 3 that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are planning to tie the knot in December. "They have worked out all their kinks and have a really fluid communication about what each of them wants," said a source of the previously off-and-on duo. A second source said of the pop star, "She's learned and grown from past relationships and doesn't want that in her current relationship and living the same nightmare that she had with her exes."
In early September, Jen Harley took to her Instagram Story to publicly accuse off-and-on love Ronnie Ortiz-Magro of cheating on her, indicating that they'd called it quits (again). Then on Oct. 3, the notoriously volatile pair were photographed holding hands during a daytime outing in Beverly Hills. Later that evening, the mother of two accompanied the "Jersey Shore" star to a launch party for his new line of CBD-infused products. At the event, during which the duo packed on the PDA for all to see, Ronnie told Us Weekly of his relationship with Jen, "Honestly, even though everyone thinks we're toxic, she really does balance me out. … She really does keep me level because with her I have her and the baby, which is a family, which is what I want at the end of the day. … The 'Jersey Shore' thing and being single, it will always be there. … It's not what I want." But just hours after his chat with Us Weekly, Ronnie and Jen were involved in a physical altercation that ended with the reality star's arrest for alleged domestic violence. Following the incident, the police issued an emergency protective order barring Ronnie from going within 100 yards of Jen until Oct. 11. What happens next between them is anyone's guess, but on Oct. 10, TMZ reported that the two have both independently decided that they're done for good this time.
According to People magazine, which published exclusive photos, country singers Michael Ray and Carly Pearce tied the knot in a barn in front of about 100 guests at Drakewood Farm in the Nashville area on Oct. 6. Country radio DJ and Grand Ole Opry announcer Bill Cody officiated the ceremony, and Jake Owen performed a live rendition of his new song "Made for You" for the couple's first dance. The newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Jamaica in December.
In other debut news… Jeannie Mai and Jeezy made their red carpet debut at the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta on Oct. 5. The duo, who were first linked in January, went Instagram official in September.
"Botched" star Dr. Paul Nassif and Brittany Pattakos exchanged vows in front of 70 guests at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in Los Angeles on Sept. 28, they revealed to E! News after celebrating their marriage with a wedding reception for 65 friends and family members at the Rocabella Santorini resort on the Greek Island of Santorini on Oct. 6. The groom's "Botched" co-star, Terry Dubrow, and his wife, former "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Heather Dubrow, attended the L.A. ceremony but were unable to make it to Greece for the reception, during which the bride donned a lacy Nektaria Georgys gown. Paul was previously married to former "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof.
On Oct. 7, Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena tied the knot at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey as "Love & Hip Hop" cameras rolled. "Married 🙏🏽♥️ Thank you to my brother @edendiamonds for designing our wedding bands. 10-7-19 MR. & Mrs. Samuels," the bride captioned an Instagram video showing off their blingy wedding bands. According to TMZ, Remy Ma, Joe Budden, Papoose and "Love & Hip Hop" co-stars Sierra and Karlie Redd were on hand for the nuptials, during which Safaree matched his missus in an all-white ensemble. He later changed into a red suit for the reception.
According to People magazine, which published exclusive wedding photos, former "American Idol" contestants Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner — who met while competing against each other on Season 16 in 2018 — tied the knot in front of 100 guests at Union Springs in Garrison, Texas, on Oct. 5. "Counting On" star Jinger Duggar's husband, Jeremy Vuolo, officiated the nuptials, during which the bride and groom's fellow Season 16 competitor Caleb Lee Hutchinson served as a groomsman.
During an interview with Harper's Bazaar that hit the Internet on Oct. 2, Busy Philipps said that she contemplated divorcing her husband, Marc Silverstein, because he wasn't pitching in at home or with their two daughters, leaving her to do all the work. "My thinking was that if I leave, at least then maybe I'd get two days off a week," she said, adding that she was "fully out the door" before her hubby made some major changes to his behavior at home. "I wasn't expecting anything from him, but what we ended up doing was creating our own system," she said. The actress previously admitted in her memoir "This Will Only Hurt a Little" that she had an emotional affair with another parent during a rough patch in her marriage.
Considering how long it took for Nikki Bella to call Artem Chigvintsev her boyfriend, it's no surprise that the former wrestler isn't ready to tie the knot. "Oh, gosh, no," she told E! News on Oct. 4 when asked if they're ready to wed. "It's just scary — marriage and babies are really scary for me right now," she added, though she also admitted that marriage isn't totally off the table somewhere down the line. She also explained why she was initially hesitant to take her relationship with Artem to the next level after they met on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2017: "I never would've thought — even when Artem and I were dancing, like, we had incredible chemistry — but I never once thought this one day would be my boyfriend," she said. "We had such an amazing friendship, and when we went on our first date, it still kind of was in that friend zone. So I was like, 'How do we even kiss?' I remember thinking, 'If he kisses me, how does this work?' because I've never kissed a friend. … But then when we had our first kiss, it was like, 'Oh my goodness!' But I have to tell you: I almost didn't date him because we did 'Dancing With the Stars' together, and I was like, I don't want to fall into that whole thing that everyone says people fall in love [while working together on the show]. So I legit didn't talk to him for a while. … And then I couldn't stop thinking about him." Also during the E! interview, Nikki's twin sister, Brie Bella, explained why she struggled to accept Nikki and Artem's relationship at first: "I was always very much Team John [Cena], and I was still rooting for them," she said. "I didn't want to give in to Artem because I still had hope [they'd reconcile]. So I kind of just separated from that until I knew, OK, maybe this guy is serious for her." Nikki and John's off-and-on romance of several years finally came to an end in mid-2018.
During an interview with Marie Claire that hit the Internet on Oct. 4, Hannah Brown said that she "can't even remember loving" her ex-fiancé, Jed Wyatt, because their time together was so fleeting. "For a year, the only focus that I had was finding a spouse, and then I don't have one? I was just crushed," she added of her time on "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" earlier this year. For now, she's happy to be single and focusing on herself: "I will not settle," she said. "It doesn't matter how lonely it might feel on a Saturday night by myself when I see my friends posting pictures with their husbands or out with the guy they're dating. I don't care. I would rather protect [my heart]. … I am totally OK on my own. I don't want to have to have a man to feel whole. It's not that I need that to feel like I have a full life. No, I have a full life." Hannah also opened up about her headline-making split from another "The Bachelorette" suitor, Luke Parker: "He had a hold on me. The first night, he said all the right things," she recalled of her initial attraction to him. "He made me feel like, 'OK, somebody is here actually for me.' It's kinda sad when I think about it, that I was like, 'OK, I've got one.'" But ultimately, things turned sour: "I didn't need anybody to show me the red flags. I was seeing them," she said. "It wasn't even that I was ignoring them; I was trying to weigh them." In the end, she sent Luke packing after he shamed her for her sexual history: "To feel wrong or that I was bad or dirty from a man who had just told me that he loved me? It killed me. And then made me mad," she said.
On the Oct. 7 episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Dane Cook opened up about his age-mismatched romance with 20-year-old Kelsi Taylor. "She's wonderful. We've been together for a bit. I love her. I'm in love. It's not funny, but I'm in love," said the 47-year-old funnyman. "Where people get a little bit persnickety sometimes with the relationship is I'm 47 and she's 20. … She's the kindest, sweetest. I love her. And every once in a while, I think to myself, 'Man, I don't even deserve this kind of girl.' And then once in a while, I'll say to myself, 'Where have you been all my life?' And then I realize, she wasn't alive for the first 28 years of it."
Kanye West opened up about his immediate attraction to now-wife Kim Kardashian West in her "E! True Hollywood Story" special, which hit YouTube on Oct. 7. "Any time I was around her or I saw her, it was a magnetic attraction to this force of energy. She was good, pure, happy, loving, brave, courageous, strong," he gushed. Kim, meanwhile, shared how she and the rapper "always kept on connecting and coming into each other's lives" after they first met in 2002. "He would ask everyone who I was, and they always said, like, 'Oh, she has a boyfriend,'" she recalled. "And then he invited me to Paris to his fashion show and then that's when it happened. That's when we started our relationship. Then I was like … 'Why didn't this happen sooner?' It was just right." But not everyone thought the pair were right for each other, said the reality star: "Everyone would tell him, 'You can't be with her. She's a reality star. She's gonna sink your career,'" she recalled. "And he was just like, 'But I love her. Like, I don't care.'"
During an interview with Self that hit the Internet on Oct. 7, Mary J. Blige opened up about moving on from her divorce from her husband and manager, Martin "Kendu" Isaacs. "I had to forgive myself for being so stupid," she said. "I had to forgive him for everything he did." She also explained how her fans have helped her heal: "Every night that I'm [performing] at these shows, I have at least four women say [to me], 'You got me through the divorce that I was going through. That 'Strength of a Woman' album? We was going through [your] divorce with you.' … I had to go through that in order to serve," she said. "People are watching. … [So] how do I come out of this unburned, unscathed? This is my life that was taken from me. … I don't want to come out of this and be mad at the world and be mad at every man on the planet." The two-time Oscar nominee added that she put her ex on a pedestal and gave him credit that "he did not deserve" for helping her overcome her past troubles: "I wanted a savior. I'd been hurting so long, and so much, and so bad," she said.
On the Oct. 7 episode of "A Little Late with Lilly Singh," Katy Mixon said she knew "from the moment I laid eyes on him" that her now-husband, Breaux Greer, was the one. "It is a voice within, and the angels surrounded me and were like, 'There he is!' and I was like, 'I know!'" said the "American Housewife" star. "It was unbelievable. I knew from the moment that I saw him. And then we solidified it three weeks in: We got matching tattoos. It's my only tattoo." She added of their whirlwind romance, "I fell in love with him and I was like, 'I gotta get to know him now!' … I loved him so much and it was like, 'We don't know anything about each other!' But I knew it in my gut. I knew it in my spirit. And eight years later…" The duo now share two children.
On the Oct. 7 episode of Howard Stern's SiriusXM radio show, Jennifer Aniston replied with an affirmative when asked if she's enjoying being single. She also said that she's not currently looking for love: "I'm very busy. For now," she said. When the host offered to set her up with someone, she quickly shot him down: "Not right now," she said. "Hey, listen, I just don't like being set up. I don't like it. I hate it." During the wide-ranging interview, Jen also admitted that she entered therapy following her late-2017 split from Justin Theroux.
